Excellent barbecue good choice of meats and fairly priced for a quality product I got the three meat dinner; pulled pork, brisket and smoked turkey. everything was moist and delicious with a smoky flavor Also got macaroni and cheese and barbecue beans, both exceptional! BBQ beans had a slow cooked tangy flavor and the macaroni and cheese was creamy and rich This was my first time coming here very impressed ! I love the barbecue sauce selection Will definitely be coming back

I went to dickies in victorville the customer service was awful.. Lines out the door.. Very slow getting food.. Seeing the line out the door I thought food would be good.. The ribs were dry and macaroni and cheese was worst than Kraft!! I got sick to my stomach before I even left the restaurant from the food!! I do not recommend and will never go back!! No more dickies!!

They were out of ham, sweet tea and the ice cream machine wasn't working :( We showed up at 8 pm on a Saturday night. Maybe it was too close to closing time at 9 pm. The food was ok. The girl helping us went out of her way to see if we needed anything and she gave us two cookies for the kids.

We ordered a big bbq sandwich with coleslaw, a westerner sandwich with baked beans and two drinks for $22.75. For me, that's on the expensive side, considering that the sandwiches are not that big and that the cups for the side dishes were only filled half. The coleslaw had no flavor at all, the beans were okay. The meat was tender. What really bothered me on the way out, was the ice cream machine. It was not clean, ice cream running down on it and dried and underneath was a bowl with even more ice cream and/or drippings which was half full. That is unacceptable and needs to be cleaned ALL THE TIME as bacteria can survive on those metal surfaces. Also, it would be nice if the young man in the kitchen would pull up his pants. Nobody needs to see your underwear. Inappropriate for a food establishment.

Unbelievably dirty. Dirty tables, dirty floors and food smeared on the wall. Ice cream machine broken. I did not receive a detailed receipt of my credit card transaction. It didn't show what I ordered. I watched Brandy clean the trash bin and then use the same cloth to wipe down 3 tables. This place has become disgusting!

If I could give this a negative 5 star I would. The customer service is Non existent and they made every single person in my parties orders wrong. The girl at the register was also in the back preparing meals in between order taking. She was also delivering meals. She refused to fix our order because "she didn't want her friend getting in trouble" by sending it back. To top it off I ordered just a baked potato and it was so old and disgusting and I will probably have diarrhea from it. It is so ironic that Dickies sucks Dickies. Just don't do it.

YOU CALL THIS BBQ?! BACKGROUND: Dickey's Barbecue Pit prides itself on authenticity, innovation and barbecue sauce, one store at a time. With roots in Dallas, Travis Dickey set out to perfect Texas-style barbecue. In 1941, Travis Dickey opened the first Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Dallas, Texas. Space on the restaurant's sign was rented out to help pay the start-up costs for the restaurant and the menu was limited to beef brisket, pit hams, barbecue beans, potato chips, beer, bottled milk and sodas. STATS: Located in a strip mall Ample free on-site parking Open Daily 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM The interior is clean EXPERIENCE: Fellow hiker and I were starved from sitting traffic on our way from LA to Palm Springs stopped here for a quick bite on the go. Quaint interior decorated with Route 41 signs and pics from that era. Natural sunlight brightens up the joint and tables and booths fill the somewhat small eatery. The menu is posted on a wall adjacent to the couner. It's a menu, you really have to look up to, literally. Teenage girl manned the register where I ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich with coleslaw and a friend ordered a Beef Brisket sandwich, with waffle iron fries. The meat was served between two very dry, just out of the bag buns, the slaw was basically tasteless, no matter how much pepper I put on it. The fries were ok, not much flavor there either. As a BBQ lover, I like my BBQ messy, and this was so not that, in fact, I was so disgusted, I couldn't even finish it. It was like eating a Cliff Bar with a minuscule number of slightly BBQ flavored catsup. On a positive note, as we waited for our food, we were able to take advantage of the free drink re-fills and use the use the restrooms, which were fairly clean. Yep, another one and done for the lists. #TASTELESSBBQ #BLANDFLAVORED #ONEANDDONE

I was really looking forward to this place and I was very dissapointed. They were out of pulled pork, chicken, brisket and out of the baked potatoes scalloped. Plus right behind my daughter's head there was a giant spider web.

Went in at dinner time and the only meat available was sausage. It's a BBQ pit. How do you not have the food you serve as your main dishes. Terrible. Will never be back

We really like this place. The wait staff are friendly, and the place is usually clean. If there is something amiss, if you tell them they are on it right away. For the price, it's good food. And oddly enough, it has the BEST ice! And free ice cream. Who doesn't like free ice cream?? We'll be back.

I placed a phone order to go, I understand it's Father's Day but come on! Liars, they gave me an estimate of 15-30 minutes wait for the ribs platter, as soon as I got there they changed the wait time to 1.5 hour because they ran out of ribs. Wow, this place has thrown customer service out the window.

This place used to be awesome but has really gone down hill. The food is never consistent. You never know if its going to be good or not. Though, when it's good, its delicious! The service is horrible and really used to be so much better. The kitchen looked dirty recently. The owners need to get a new manager here because I seriously doubt this is how the owners want as a reflection of their heirloom restaurant. Every time I come, they are out of baked potatoes....huh???? There is a whole section for your "bakers" but they always run out. If your out of them, make more for the demand. Poor management.

This is NOT bbq! I only have it 1 star because I can't not give it a star. Got a Cesar salad and no dressing...got a bbq turkey sandwich...no bbq sauce. Wanted ribs, but didn't have any...so I got brisket...but still none. So I settled for bbq chicken...dry like wood aaaand no bbq sauce... I would of sent it all bak and walked out, but it was a to go order and I was not going bak. Had to choke down my chicken (lol) with a beer and my girl had to use mayo and mustard on her "bbq" turkey...oh and ranch on my Cesar salad... this is NOT bbq.

Food was great , service is horrible. Joseph was the cashier for me and I must say, I was not pleased. He showed signs of being irritated, was not helpful, and it was not a full house for him to be overwhelmed. My experience was just okay here. My food made up for the rudeness. Btw I had the Monday special for $10. Pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides and a awesome cup to take back home

Good food and great customer service! We ordered for pick up and the gentleman on the phone was very nice and helpful. When we went to go pick it up, the cashier was even more friendly and nice. We had the Westerner Sandwich Combo Plate with Texas Chopped Brisket and Polish sausage, it was delicious and the bread was perfectly toasted. For our sides we had Mac and cheese (which is always the best choice), waffle iron cut fries, and loaded potato casserole.... All very good! We usually go to a different location but thought we'd check out this location this time and from today's overall experience we will continue coming back to this location. :)

I was in the mood for ribs so decided to try this place out. The boyfriend mentioned he had it before a while back and could only remember "it was overpriced for what he received." Let's try again, cuz hey why not. I got the rib plate with waffle fries and green beans with bacon. The ribs were dry, like beef jerky dry. The green beans were swimming in oil and had no bacon in them. The waffle fries were a hit and the bbq sauce was pretty tasty. Plus you get a free ice cream cone. If i came back i would never get the ribs again. Oh and the cashier decided to mop the floor right next to me while i was eating. Um just a little rude.

Give this place a try. Nice folks, BBQ and it's clean. Three things the Mexican restaurant I just walked out of didn't have going for it. The original BBQ sauce is a great combination between heat and sweet.

To be fair we have been watching BBQ Pitmaster's and just really wanted barbeque. When this place first opened they were under different owner ship and although the owner at that time was a very nice man he was giving such a really small amount of meat on a sandwich we thought it was a joke and after a couple of tries we never went back thinking this is a rip off but the place sold and we wanted to try it again and today was the day. I looked them up on line and saw you could make your order and pay for it at the same time and then just go and pick it up, super right, and you could also specify what time you wanted to pick up that meal and hey no wait just go to the pick up window and grab it, Well I bet you can guess how this actually went. We get there and nothing has been put together and we have to wait until the orders put in by people standing in line are finished so you are talking about a twenty minute wait and when my husband gets back to the truck with it I check and the salads are not there so he has to go back in and wait again, finally we have food and head home and I will tell you it was really pretty bad. The salads that we got which cost $9.00 were some chopped lettuce and a sprinkle of cheese with a dollop of ranch dressing, and it looked like a hot mess to tell you the truth but then so did the dinner boxes with the meat being just thrown into the box with no real presentation like who ever was doing this did not have the time or the care to make it look nice. We got the three meat plate with the two sides consisting of barbeque beans, baked potato casserole and mac and cheese and these were not good either, the mac and cheese was using some fake cheese product and the baked potato casserole was made out of potato flakes and had no flavor and the consistency of paste, the beans were sweet but pretty plain no chopped meat in them and the worst crime of all the meat that we got was over cooked and crumbling dry and the flavor was a weird mix of plain on parts or really salty on others but nothing complimentary. we also got a small roll/bisquit that was cold and tough. we each paid $19.92 for dinner giving a grand total of $39.85 out the door and really I wish we had taken that money and went to the grocery and bought a steak and cooked it at home because I can tell you without a doubt it would have been so much better and cheaper also. My husband and I don't get to eat out that often and if we spend our dollars on something that is bad not only do we feel ripped off but one of the small pleasures we are afforded is wasted and this was a really big waste and we feel really let down so here is the prediction I have that in about 2 1/2 years this place is going to go out of business because they have lost there customer base and when you are gone Dickey's BBQ Pit I will remember this day and this disappointment and I will not feel sorry for you not at all. You just should not treat your customers this way and for the owner and manager if you hire teenagers and leave them with no supervision what do you expect but substandard service? These people are representing you but children have no idea about service nor do they seem to care so really who's at fault? I say the owner and manager so in the end you are stabbing yourself in your own foot so to speak.

My family and i wanted some BBQ this weekend and instead of cooking it myself we decided to try this place out. What a HUGE mistake. The food was horrible we ordered the family meal that stated it would feed 6-8 people well unless those people were not hungry there was no way near enough food. The ribs had never ever seen a bbq pit they tasted baked. The briskett was like mush with no flavor at all. The potatoe salad was by far the worst I have ever tasted also the not so Jalepeno beans had no spice to them at all I mean non and they were under cooked. I really cant understand how this place can say they bbq. What a waste of my money and time....... I will never ever visit this place again......

This place is dirty and I couldn't eat my food with all the damn flys. I don't know how many times I got up to close the doors. I told the manger and all he can say is that there going to get fly traps soon with an attitude.

I really wish yelp would give us the option of zero stars. This place is a freakin joke! The food sucks, the service sucks, and the prices are ridiculous. Never coming here again!

This is not BBQ. This is a place We will never go back to. So much salt taste on chicken and pulled pork. Something must be wrong with this store. It has the worst ratings of the chain although We will not go the others anyway. Go to Famous Daves, Big Mikes or Phils if you want authentic Bbq

Service was great. Food was served cold. Brisket Tasted like tuna. Polish sausage was sent back to warm it back up but when I got it back it was still cold. I've lived across the street for over a year and was really disappointed.

I love BBQ! I smoke my own cuts and for a chain restaurant this place is really on the mark.

This is a really good BBQ place. The food is always fresh and hot. The portions are good as well. I like that they have hot bbq sauce for you to get at your discretion. It's a little pricey. The only thing that bothers me about this location is that the ice cream machine always seems to be broken. I get my daughters hopes up to have ice cream after she eats all her dinner and then it doesn't work. So the free ice cream is always a hit or miss situation.

I went yesterday for a family dinner and ordered the beef briskets sandwiches, I have to say how disappointing it was. All of 5 sandwiches including the sides where cold. The brisket seemed as it was just shredded and put on a cold bun. I asked to have them to redo them and it was the same thing! The sides BBQ beans and Mac n Cheese barely a tab warmer. I understand if its the end of the night and maybe the store either is running low or out... Just simply offer something else and don't serve leftovers especially COLD meet with cold buns! I could of done that at home and saved my money for that matter! I enjoy Dickey's food but I have to say this store needs a lot of good management and training. I don't recommend this location at all!!

My family and I went this past Saturday afternoon and regardless of the busy environment the staff did an excellent job in making sure our food was amazing as well as the service from the cashier. Dickeys has definitely been getting better.

This place has gotten worse and worse. No beef brisket, ribs, turkey or ice tea for tonight's option. Floors and tables are all dirty. Last time at this location. At least Haven is a little better and not out of half their menu.

So I have been there 1time and the food was ok, it is pretty pricey for the food just being ok. The service is also just okay, the staff isnt very welcoming. The guy at the register waa on the phone and some other girl was just standing next to him not even acknowledging my presence. They took a good 5minutea to say hello, they took my order after couple of minutes of me starring them down. When I asked what's good here the register girl said idk havent had anything ummm okay.. So idk but I got the sausage and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese is really good!!! The sausage not so much. The choices of bbq are tasty! My husband got the ribs and potato casserole and he enjoyed his plate.
I have been here many times, and it seems like every time I come back the quality goes down and the prices do up. The food seems like it's been sitting, is very greasy, and is often cold. Not coming back here, it's not worth the prices they charge.

Now, I'm aware that I've never had "real" Texas-Louisiana-insert-state BBQ, but when we didn't want to spend $20+ for a plate at Lucille's, we came here to try it. To be honest, the pricing isn't terribly unfair. My $9 friday deal came with pork, a bun, mac n cheese and onion strings. It wasn't awful, and I wasn't dissatisfied. The boyfriend ordered ribs, and yes, he put more sauce on them, but he liked them...Then again, there isn't much meat on ribs to begin with, but whatever. As for service, no, we didn't get a super smiley, way too happy server, and we were fine with that. This place isn't a waiter restaurant, so we weren't expecting the same I-want-your-tip-money treatment as other places. So long as you get my order and deliver it without problems, service is good to me. We liked the big yellow cups and the free soft-serve included, so we won't be complaining about how whatever this place is. It ain't bad, folks.

Based on these yelpers reviews I was afraid to try Dickey's this past weekend (Saturday afternoon 1/17)). I am so glad I did maybe there was a new chef???? My hubby and I ordered the 2 meat plate so we tried the brisket, pulled pork, cheddar spicy cheese sausage and chicken, green beans, mac n cheese, bbq beans and potato casserole. Everything was delicious and fresh. This meal session put the place Ribs in ah basket to shame. Ribs in ah basket is no longer in business they use to put cartilage pieces in my pulled pork. But Dickey's served me fat free, tender, tasty pulled pork. I used both the regular and sweet bbq sauce. Both delicious, the rolls were fresh and soft! The staff was extremely nice and helpful! The ONLY REASON I am not giving a 5 star review is that they were out of sweet tea completely. But that is it. We will definitely be back! Delicious! Reminded me of Famous Daves in all aspects.

Their service is great. Free ice cream is great. Their food is excellent. Love the neighborhood feeling you get here. It's a very clean environment as well.

Very good ribs the first and second time I ate here... The 3rd and 4th time a bit overcooked but thereafter it's been great tasting. Please work on your cooking time for consistency and I'd come back more often. Some good tasting food otherwise. Jalapeño beans and mashed potatoes are pretty darn awesome.

We've eaten at this location many times and decided to use them to cater a family event. They dropped off and set up the food on time and everyone loved it. We had chopped brisket, chicken, and pulled pork. The sides were jalapeño beans, potato casserole, caesar salad, and rolls. Everyone had plenty to eat (even after seconds and thirds).

The best thing was mac-n-cheese and the rolls. Hated it!

It's not bad but not the greatest. Good to get a fix in when you feel like some convenient BBQ. I go for the brisket sandwich and fried okra.

I gave them a second chance before writing a review.. but I shouldn't have. Both times have been disappointing. The service really needs to step it way up. Workers are nice but dont know anything else about customer service. First experience. . They were out of spicy and sweet bbq sauce... that doesnt make sense.. then ice machine was out. Every time we asked them to refill something they took forever or had an excuse. Then to top it off they were out of ice cream! Food was cold and just average. . Second visit. .they were out of chicken and sausage and sweet tea was empty. Food was just ok again. They practically smoked us out with whatever they were doing in kitchen and didn't even open doors or anything. Honestly we sat in a smoky room for a good 15-20 minutes. . Why didnt we just leave?.. . Because ice cream was empty again! !! This time we were getting our free ice cream so.we waited a good 30 minutes for it to be ready. Nobody was ever apologetic or offered anything for the bad service. They need an owner that cares about running a decent business. Next time we will drive out of the way to the other location it will be so worth it.

Great Food ! Good Service !

I'm only giving 2 stars because I love the chicken Caesar salad. But the customer service is horrible. Not friendly at all. And when I walk in a restaurant there should always be someone there greeting me and ready to take my order, not chit chatting with co workers in the kitchen.

This place is pretty good, their pulled pork BBQ sandwich is good the only problem is the price is a little high for the proportion, and the floor is sticky. But other than that it's a good fast little BBQ joint.

Foods good considering it's fast food a lil high up there in $$$ but good stuff if ur in the mood for BBQ and don't wanna go to a restaurant

Overview: Price: 3* Food: 1* This is what happens when my phone breaks... I end up eating at a 2* restaurant and thinking, "I NEED YELP RIGHT NOW!" BBQ is not "love-it-or-hate-it" like some foods (looking at you, sushi), but still, I find that people who have had real BBQ will not tolerate anything less. For anyone who hasn't been to Texas, real Texas BBQ is smoked low and slow for hours. Dickeys, on the other hand, has all the flavor you'd expect expect out of your microwave. When you see people slathering their plates in sauce, you know your at the wrong place. Not overly expensive, but if the food isn't good, who cares? I'd steer clear unless you REALLY need BBQ and can't find anything else that is open.
(2)
Tim B.
Eh... They don't have the big pickle jar any longer. Rather pedestrian BBQ. I'm not a hater, just have seen a decline as my family and I have eaten there many, many times.
(3)
Rowena M.
Poor service today. Took 15-20 minutes to get our food, then my 3 pulled pork tacos had cold meat inside (like it had just come out of the refrigerator). They did replace with new hot tacos but it had already taken a long time to get served.
(2)
Jeff H.
Too bad, so sad. First off I might be being a bit harsh on Dickey's. I've lived in Dallas for many years and eaten many times at the non-franchise stores. So I'm judging based on Dallas, not SoCal BBQ. But to be honest, compared to Dallas, the portions were small, the food was cold and it just wasn't Dickey's. All that and it was much more expensive than in Dallas. A two meat plate and drink for $15! That being said, nice to get TX style bbq without needing to drive for a day and a half. So I guess that makes $15 cheap compaired to $250 in gas plus $9 for food.

Very pricey! The bbq meat is nothing to brag about. I never went back again I know good bbq living in Texas...enough said!

I should've checked Yelp before coming here! I ordered the beef brisket & BBQ Chicken. The girl who took my order said both were very good. Ummm, not true! If she thought this barbeque was good then she's never had good barbeque before. First of all they sell the meat by the ounce. What! I never heard of that. I guess this is their way of getting the most money from the meat they serve. I was told that they don't have ribs, huh. A barbeque place with no ribs. I drove all the way home only to find out that they don't put barbeque sauce on the meat. I had to drive all the way back to get the sauces they serve, which wasn't all that. I tried all three and all three were just so so. The chicken they serve is only breast meat. They have no dark meat. Whack! The meat was warm. I didn't order sides as I already paid a fortune for the meat. This establishment doesn't cook the meats with the BBQ sauce. The meat has no flavor profile. The beef brisket was cold and bland, as described by another Yelper! As for the BBQ sauce itself, I've had much, much, better. Tried to redeem a Foursquare coupon for free ice cream. My iPhone service was acting up so I could check in and they have no free wi-fi. A real good barbeque joint should have a taste that would make you wanna slap yo mamma. This makes me want to slap the #$%* out of the owner.

8.6.10: I was so excited to get a chance to go to Laughlin for the first time. My friend came to pick us up but we didn't know where to eat. Awwww, once again Fontana and its few choices of restaurants; so we had to roam around the area. We went further north and decided maybe we should give Dickies a try. So as we were heading to Dicky's we end up following their catering truck. That was a sure sign we needed to go check this place out. Looking at the menu the food was decently priced. Sounds like a lot of food. We all shared had the pulled pork, chicken breast, polish sausage, pork ribs and I think the beef brisket. Mac n cheese was one of my sides. It was good. I really liked there bbq sauce and I'm not quite a bbq sauce person. But it satisfied my taste buds to the fullest. Yummy in my tummy. I am really excited that there is place I can go and get some food when I'm hungry. Yay to a great find.

A friend of mine told me about this place and thought I would give it a try. Yesterday I stopped in for lunch and had a salad, not bad. Maybe too much Ranch dressing? So today I thought I would have a BBQ sandwich. With some Waffle fries I saw someone eating yesterday. Had the pulled pork and it was DRY. To make it worse I wanted ketchup with my fries. They must of had over six bottles on the counter and all of them were disgusting. The bottle neck had old caked on ketchup and the bottle caps were black with old junk. I almost couldn't finish eating. I started to wonder if that is how they keep things in and obvious location what must the back of the place look like!! They were even out of pickles. A young girl stopped by to ask how everything was as I was getting ready to leave. I showed her the bottles and she seemed sincere and apologized. I saw her take all the bottles to the back to replace them. I probably won't go back. SAD

The food is usually good. The only problem is its always served Lukewarm. The restaurant gets a C+ for cleanliness. The free ice cream is a perk.
(3)
Jay B.
This place is just ok. Nothing to brag about. The best thing here are the fries. This place also lacks customer service and focus. I guess the saying "you get what you pay for" applies to this place. The people behind the register take no pride in their job. They treat you like it's a chore to take an order. I suggest to the owners to take a closer look at the "hood" type people you hire and look for quality personnel. I don't see this place open for long. Skip this place. Here is my rating factor, on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) Food - 5 Atmosphere - 5 Selection - 5 Service - 5 Cleanliness - 4 Overall - 4.8

Dickey's.. oh Dickey's.. The other two reviews prior to me gave you one star.. I give you two because I like your mashed potato casserole side dish.. Where do I begin... I was patiently waiting for this BBQ place to open.. and when it did.. the family and I were really excited that we had to take some home as soon as possible.. This is where the problems began.. we ordered a custom family dinner.. something to that effect.. it came with ribs.. and pulled pork.. and three sides.. which we got.. coleslaw.. mac n cheese.. and that yummy potato casserole.. it also came with rolls.. we had also ordered a small order of polish sausage.. Stupid us should have checked our order before we left.. because we got home.. and we were missing the mac-n-cheese.. and the rolls.. We called them and they were really great about giving us a full refund for their mistake.. that was really nice of them.. Now.. to rate the food.. Their pulled pork wasn't bad.. it was tender.. I'd go back for that.. The ribs.. dry.. dry.. dry.. definitely something I won't be getting there.. The polish sausage.. I could get the same thing at the costco for so much cheaper.. and it comes with a drink there! The coleslaw was ok.. I'm not a big coleslaw person.. so I can't really judge.. The mashed potato casserole.. so yummy.. it deserves it's own star.. I didn't get to try the free ice cream.. but some of the meats had pickle slices that were yum.. so I'm assuming their free big pickles would be yum too.. I may go back.. if only for the casserole..

We ate here a few days ago and the food was delicious. I loved that you got free ice cream after, my family loved it too I must say. I was only a lite disappointed with the amount of BBQ sauce on my chicken sandwich, other than that the meal was perfect and delicious. Gotta ask for more next time!

OMG!! This place is BAD..BAD...BAD!! I waited for a long time for the opening of this place in North Fontana. When I finally got the chance to dine there.....Major Disappointment. I dont recall exactly what hubby and myself got, I think the experience was so negative, that I just blocked out my experience there. We got a bunch of cooked meat..and sauce was on the side. We got two sides, potato salad and beans..terrible. We paid $20 in total for our meal, two drinks...I think that is alot considering this place is a fast food establishment. You can go to Lucilles and split one of their $25 dollar meals...you would walk out content, happy and full of delicous bbq....You wont have that feeling here. There are free pickles and ice cream offered at Dickeys. I know the ice cream is FREE and one shouldn't complain about something free..but this ice cream was bad!! Tasted like frozen water with a slight hint of vanilla. Pickles werent 2 bad..only decent food item there!! I dont inten to EVER go back..go to Lucilles or Famous Daves. Same prices if you split a meal..and you will be alot more content with the food and experiences.

This place is expensive considering the low quality of their food. The customer service was sub par. I ordered the beef brisket and it was cold for some reason. The BBQ sauce that you put on separately is warm. Is the sauce supposed to warm the beef up? There are free pickles and ice cream to try to compensate the horrible food. I was so mad that I spent so much money on this meal that I went into the bathroom and I peed in a yellow Dickey's cup and then I drank a little bit of it to get the taste out of my mouth. Then I held some of the liquid inside my mouth for a while.

I have enjoyed this place since they opened. The service is friendly, and the food is tasty. I am a pretty cheap person and I find the pricing reasonable. They also have a "happy hour" during the week for discounted sandwiches, pulled pork tacos, and other items. I am not a big fan of some of the sides. But the brisket sandwich and waffle fries are my fav here. I am not a fan of the free soft serve ice cream, but it keeps the kiddies happy. The pickles, however, are great! :)

I love Yelp showdown. I think its very appropriate that its a Bar-B-Que place, its very western like. On one side we have Clint Eastwood (Ed G.) vs the 7 mislabel black wearing cowboys (all 5 stars reviews and have one review each). We all know the story lines, Clint Eastwood always comes out on top. Before i start my review, i personally think its cheesy to have 7 fake reviews written. Did you outsource to India to have them done? If i didn't go there a few times already, i probably would not have gone because its an insult to my intelligence (ego). review time: I didn't have that staff problem (that's why you receive 2 stars instead of one) most other yelpers had. I think once i had receive the normal fast food attitude but i was not excepting much either. the other time it was not bad, but memorable. My issue was the food and price. Way overprice for what you receive. This place would be a perfect "I have NO time to cook dinner for the family and the kids are hungry" but for the same price i can take them to a nice sit down. Please don't give me "you get what you paid for" speech because the decor and quality of the meat is a notch higher that other fast food restaurants. Every time i order there is always something they just ran out of, no biggie on that one. I am not a big Mac n Cheese fan but my kids and wife are but not for Dickey version of it. they say it taste "funky" I do like the free pickles and ice cream. The Bar-B-Que sauces are not bad. I think the mashed potatoes was good. Quick Summary: i think it worth a visit and try it on a quick lunch or when you are flying solo. To invest family dinner money, its a toss up.

I'm surprised at the amount of terrible reviews Dickey's has received, because my family really enjoyed it here. We went on a Sunday afternoon in between lunch & dinner and were the only patrons present. The manager took our order and he was extremely helpful. He gave us samples of some of their bbq, some sides, etc, to help us decide what to get. The baked potato casserole is very, very good. I would come back just for that! I ordered a mixed bbq platter which had bbq chicken & ribs. I thought both were very enjoyable. Both meats were well cooked, and yes, both were served HOT. The manager had shown us their different bbq sauces so I tried each one. My mother enjoyed her dish quite a bit and because she raved about the baked potato casserole he gave her some to go...for free! On the way out we had some free soft-serve ice cream which wasn't all that great, but hey, it was free, so I didn't complain. All in all I would (and have) recommend Dickey's to my friends and family. The manager had told us of prior management's bad work at the store, so I felt that he was sincerely trying to drum up better business. It's too bad though in reading through some of these reviews that immaturity takes over and people enjoy quickly giving 1-2 stars. For serious reviewers, I do recommend at least giving them a shot.

Ok, so, I drive by and what do I see??? The lights are on, the Windows have paper over them and numerous workers are working (yeah, I know, actually working), inside. A big sign on the door that states: Under new management, opening soon.... Well what do you know.... Seems the bad reviews and complaints made it to HQ. HAHAHAHAHAHA .... No, I'm not gloating, hahaha, I would never (snicker) gloat! I really feel sorry (Bwhahahaha) for the managers. Hopefully the new crew will actually care about customers and quality of the product..... Now if you excuse me, I need to take care of the pain in my side and try to breathe. LOL

I will have to agree with everyone else. Dickey's is the just okay. Their facility is clean, the staff is friendly (although you should ALWAYS check your order before you leave), but the bbq isn't that great. Yes, I have gone there a few times, but each time, I go there only because I have a taste for bbq and it's close to my house. It's just OKAY...not bad, not good...just okay. It doesn't have that good, smokey/sweet bbq taste at all. And their desserts are awful. Don't bother with the peach cobbler especially...that was the worst thing I have ever tasted in my life!

The food is okay, the service is mediocre it is fully dependant on which manager is working. Remember to check your bag! My order is almost always missing something & I constantly have to go back. I only eat there because it's within walking distance of work.

We have been watching and waiting for this place to open for months. It finally opened and we finally went. I cant believe i am rating this a one. We have ate alot of BBQ places and there isnt that many that i just plain horrible. The first thing we see is a sign on the cash register saying that they are out of ribs. what!!!! how? So we ordered beef brisket and pulled pork with mac n cheese and waffle fries. Both meats where cold. The beef brisket was over cooked and black and bad. The pulled pork was pretty good but the 3 sauces where the nastiest ever by far. The regular sauce taste like a bottle of liquid smoke. All 3 where very watery and all 3 had a lot of vineagar. My dad and a friend went to the one in cucamonga and they both said it was good but not Luciilles good and i asked them both not around each other. so who knows. I gotta say the waffle fries where very good. i like chick filet's better but they where still very good. You get free jumbo pickes and free ice cream also that you serve yourself, so that was cool

Went to Dickey ''s On Sunday cause kids eat free. The pulled pork was ok .The brisket was good. The sides not so good did not like the mashed potatoes or the bbq beans. We did like the fried onions. The service was good the place was clean . The ice cream machine was broken today, The ice cream was one of the reasons we went , kids were disappointed.. I did their online survey (for the coupon ). Manager called me to apologize for broke ice cream machine , will eat there again.

Food is okay, the sides are not good at all. I love the free pickles and their ribs are pretty good.. Not crazy about the place

I just don't understand how they don't know that their BBQ is wack? Portion wise, you don't what you pay for. It's a small amount of food considering the price. I had the chicken and the brisket. I'll say this, the chicken was pretty good. The brisket was dry, didn't have any sauce, and sorta tasted like tuna. The side were good, but they give you such a small amount you don't get to enjoy them! They do have really good rolls though. I still don't see myself going back.

I love BBQ ANYTHING (lol)!!! So when I seen this spot I just had to stop by but it was nothing like I expected. It didnt even taste like BBQ and the beans were so so at best. To be fair, I noticed that the other Dickies locations have good reviews but I won't be stopping by this one no more.

This is one of those BBQ places where they spend big money on making the place look nice. They seem to have everything figured out except one thing, the food. The meat is basically tasteless meat that has been smoked over night. It is virtually tasteless, and your only options are to turn to three different BBQ sauces to smother on it to bring it back from cardiac arrest. I went there and had the three meat plate. I had brisket, ribs , and pulled pork. Boring, boring, and boring. They have a nice array of sides, I had the BBQ beans they were tasty. They have a jar where a daring soul can pull out a decadent pickle and test his fortitude. They also offer free ice cream cones which are fantastic. The place is expensive and rightly so, having such a nice building and atmosphere must of been a costly investment. And the only way to make up for the disappointment in store is by offering a free ice cream on the way out.

Yajirobe S.
The meat was oily and somewhat bland. The only reason I Might CONSIDER going back would be for the dinner rolls that were delicious and the free icecream.

Big yellow take-home cup, free pickles, AND free ice cream?! Woohoo! Dickey's is great close-to-home barbecue! The chopped brisket sandwich is the best one that can be found locally. As for the sides, the waffle fries and mac-n-cheese are the best options. The staff here is always polite and friendly and orders are served quickly. Tip: DON'T expect 'REAL TEXAS' bbq here. We are not in Texas, or in the South. We are in Southern California, and Dickey's is good.

the service was slow, and it wasn't great food...just eh... wish I would've checked yelp. the 1 good thing, the free ice cream- my kids LOVED that...and my husband thought he was sly and made a root beer float...but he had to do that cause the BBQ was just eh.....

The only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because of the super nice girl who took my order. She was super helpful about picking something to order and we spent like 10 mins making fun of Fergie who was on T.V performing at the World Cup :) I always pass this place on the way home and I always meant to stop in and try it out. I should have kept driving haha. The BBQ is a joke, it took forever and it was expensive( $14 bucks for a meal). The meat was completely flavorless, it had a weird texture, the coleslaw was so watery and sweet and the dinner roll was odd. The only good thing about this place was the sweet tea and free pickles and ice cream. That's it. I would choose KFC over this place and that's not saying much :(

I should've listened to all the other yelpers and not come here. I had a coupon so maybe it wouldn't be so bad. My bad. It was bad. I ordered the 2-meat plate with the choice of beef brisket & BBQ spare ribs with sides of BBQ baked beans & waffle fries. My wife ordered the 2-meat plate also with BBQ pulled pork & polish sausage, with sides of mashed potato & caesar salad. The best thing on my plate: the waffle fries. Tsk tsk. Everything else was just gross or nasty. I don't know if all Dickeys serves meats this way: they don't cook the meats with the BBQ sauce. I tasted the beef brisket - it was cold & bland (although tender). I then tasted the spare ribs - just lukewarm & flavorless although my wife said that the ribs tasted moldy (gross!). I then tasted my wife's pulled pork - it tasted very old & stale like it had been stored in the fridge for over a week and then finally pulled out for service. The polish sausage was juicy but also reminds me of Costco polish dogs. Unimpressive. The sides weren't that much better besides the waffle fries. The BBQ baked beans was probably the grossest thing out there. There was a smoky flavor when you put it in your mouth. Then, the look on your face turns to a curious one, like a "hmm.. that's an odd flavor". And then after you swallow it, there is an essence of fishiness like you just ate some raw tuna that's been sitting out for a few days. Oddly, I had to take another bite just to see if what I tasted was reality. Yup, it sure was. I passed it along to my wife and she thought it tasted really strange. The mashed potato was just crap... too flavorless. As for the BBQ sauce itself, I've had better. Go to Claim Jumper and they have a better BBQ sauce. How sad is that? The only thing that may be redeeming about the place is their free soft serve vanilla ice cream. Yay! Not really. You really can't make up for the crap they serve you here. I'm not sure if this place will last all too long if they continue to serve up crap food

Was the food edible? Yes. Was the food pleasing to the eye (for a BBQ joint)? Yes. Was the food tasty? NO! Got pulled pork sandwiches, peach cobbler, mac n cheese, and the onion tanglers. I've never had a pulled pork sandwich that didn't taste like BBQ. It literally was just... pulled pork, nothing else. It wasn't horrible, but when you want a BBQ fix, you expect that sweet smoked taste... this place won't give it to you. HATED IT!

Came for their happy hour special. I was seven minutes early so they made me wait until exactly two pm. I sat at a table to wait the entire seven minutes....seriously....I was the only one in the entire store! Customer service is not their forte....and BBQ isn't either....it wasn't worth the wait or the money I saved with their happy hour prices. I work right around the corner and frequent the local restaurants daily...i am taking my business elsewhere.

This place sucks!!!! The food was cold, dry and over priced !!! I got the spicy sausage and it was literally feeZing cold!! The green beans for a side are so nasty! Mushy and no flavor! The bbq beans tasted burnt and just gross! We will never ever go back!!! It was so expensive too!!!!

Ended up there on my wife's recommendation. I think she had eaten a sandwich from the Rancho Cucamonga location, and liked it so we stopped by. The interior is clean, and emblazoned with mural size pictures of the original location "back in the day", so that sort of got me hoping it would be pretty good. I ordered the 3 meat platter (I was starving) with pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. She got the 2 meat with pork and brisket. The order was taken competently, but it took an inordinate amount of time to arrive. Something like 15 minutes. I ate a vanilla cone while we waited (starving remember?). We took the food to go, but I noticed something odd right away. The bag was too light. Upon opening it I discovered the problem; everything we ordered was present, there just wasn't that much of it. I'm used to BBQ being pricey. Meat is expensive; but I have to tell you, I don't remember ever walking away from a BBQ joint with more plastic & styrofoam wrappers and boxes than food. Upon getting home and unpacking it, my concerns were validated. Dickey's (at least this one) is no kind of value. The meat portions were not generous by any stretch of the imagination. Disappointed by the scale of our meals; but still famished, I started eating. It wasn't terrible, it's just really really ordinary. The meats are moist, but don't have a smoky taste to them. Just kinda "meh...". The Dickey's super secret signature sauces (whatever, they were not fresh), are better left a secret. I replaced both of them with the bottled variety from my fridge. The sides with the exception of the cross cut fries (quite good) and the mac and cheese (a congealed mess) were the same quality you could get in the deli section of the supermarket down the street. Once again, the portion control is evident in the sides. All in all, it's ordinary fast food, sold at an extraordinary price, in a setting which desperately harkens back to a time when nobody in their right mind would try to open a fast food BBQ joint. It costs enough, that you could have had a moderately priced "sit down" meal, and been much more satisfied; or spent another twenty to thirty dollars and gotten real BBQ, and a couple of beers at the kind of REAL BBQ joint Dickey's supposedly once was.

Dickey's BBQ is a good place to eat with the family. Went here with the wife daughter and two toddlers. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The food was out quick. It was good. I love the smoked chicken and turkey. Wife loves the pulled pork. The sauce is good, they have original, sweet and spicy. The baked potato casserole side dish is rich and comforting. Stop by for some good smoked meats and sweet tea.

Alright, I know this place doesn't have very good reviews from anyone, but I thought I'd check it out anyway. I went with my uncle. We ordered the hoagie lunch combo. For 6 bucks it comes with a hoagie with your choice of meat, a side and a drink. I got the beef brisket hoagie, dressed (pickles, onions and sauce), and my uncle got the chicken hoagie, dressed. My first impression of my sandwich was 2.99 for this little bitty sandwich? no way. The meat was cooked well, but it wasn't smothered in sauce, or anything, it was just a big chunk of meat on a slightly toasted bun, with barely any bbq sauce on it, 2 slices of pickles and 2 rings of onions, that's it. The bread was a little bigger than my mouse, you know, the one for my computer. I tasted the CK that my uncle ordered, that was juicy and flavorful, but still, it wasn't a particularly large serving. I chose the Mac & Cheese for my side; I will never order it again. Kraft Mac & Cheese has more flavor than this. I was sorely disappointed in it. Not even adding salt and pepper could help this crappy Shells & Cheese. My uncle had the Waffle Fries, they were good. If I ever go, I may choose this as a possible side. Now, the best thing about this place, was the sweet tea. Yummy Yummy in my Tummy! I do love a good sweet tea. Things to know about this place: You order, they bring you your food, you get your own drinks. There is a barrel of pickles by the drinks, help yourself, and there is free vanilla soft serve by the door. I thought the ice cream and the pickles were pretty cool, but I don't know if that alone would make it worth a return trip.

My family has eaten here a handful of times, always as takeout. We get the "family pack". We love the pickles, jalapeno beans, chopped brisket, onion tanglers, and fried okra. Spicy sausage wasn't spicy and other meats were too bland. They seem to have problems measuring the amount of meat the give you, more than once we paid for a lb of meat and it turned out to be half a lb or so. Sauces are great, we keep the sweet sauce in our fridge til it runs out

(3)Mandy M.
(2)Kathy K.
(1)Jeff A.

(1)Nathan C.
Went in at dinner time and the only meat available was sausage. It's a BBQ pit. How do you not have the food you serve as your main dishes. Terrible. Will never be back
(1)Kathy H.
We really like this place. The wait staff are friendly, and the place is usually clean. If there is something amiss, if you tell them they are on it right away. For the price, it's good food. And oddly enough, it has the BEST ice! And free ice cream. Who doesn't like free ice cream?? We'll be back.
(3)Amanda H.
(1)Blake C.
(2)Mike C.
(1)Jesse G.
(3)Vanessa L.
(5)Sydney M.
(2)Bobby C.
Give this place a try. Nice folks, BBQ and it's clean. Three things the Mexican restaurant I just walked out of didn't have going for it. The original BBQ sauce is a great combination between heat and sweet.
(4)Jennifer G.

First time here..... AMAZING! Cashier was extremely helpful and food is absolutely amazing! I will definitely be coming back..... with more people of course.
(5)Jason L.
Always good food when I come in and the service is always above par. I have been coming here for a while now and I will keep on coming to this dickeys.
(5)Elena P.
(1)Connie G.
This place is dirty and I couldn't eat my food with all the damn flys. I don't know how many times I got up to close the doors. I told the manger and all he can say is that there going to get fly traps soon with an attitude.
(1)Lizzie D.
I really wish yelp would give us the option of zero stars. This place is a freakin joke! The food sucks, the service sucks, and the prices are ridiculous. Never coming here again!
(1)Steve E.
(1)Abe E.
Service was great. Food was served cold. Brisket Tasted like tuna. Polish sausage was sent back to warm it back up but when I got it back it was still cold. I've lived across the street for over a year and was really disappointed.
(1)909yz-rider G.
I love BBQ! I smoke my own cuts and for a chain restaurant this place is really on the mark.
(5)Kimmy E.
(3)Brenda R.
(1)Bree R.
My family and I went this past Saturday afternoon and regardless of the busy environment the staff did an excellent job in making sure our food was amazing as well as the service from the cashier. Dickeys has definitely been getting better.
(5)Liz S.
This place has gotten worse and worse. No beef brisket, ribs, turkey or ice tea for tonight's option. Floors and tables are all dirty. Last time at this location. At least Haven is a little better and not out of half their menu.
(1)Jeanette L.
(3)Sonya S.
Good place close to home. First time coming here and I can't believe I haven't came here before. I'm not a big BBQ fan but my fiancé wanted to try it. I got the two meat combo with pulled pork and ribs. The ribs fell off the bone and were really juicy. They have extra sauce available in sweet, original and spicy. I smothered my pulled pork in original sauce and it was delicious! Since it was my first time I wasn't sure what to order so I asked a worker what they recommend and they were really helpful. it's a plus that they also have free dessert. They also have good weekday deals and offer catering. I'll definitely be coming back here soon.
(5)Jennifer L.
I have been here many times, and it seems like every time I come back the quality goes down and the prices do up. The food seems like it's been sitting, is very greasy, and is often cold. Not coming back here, it's not worth the prices they charge.
(1)Monica M.
(4)Gina C.
(4)Emma H.
Their service is great. Free ice cream is great. Their food is excellent. Love the neighborhood feeling you get here. It's a very clean environment as well.
(5)Ray P.
(4)Randy P.
(4)Tatia E.
The best thing was mac-n-cheese and the rolls. Hated it!
(1)Alan V.
It's not bad but not the greatest. Good to get a fix in when you feel like some convenient BBQ. I go for the brisket sandwich and fried okra.
(3)Allie K.
(1)Ralph V.
Great Food ! Good Service !
(5)Chelsea W.
I'm only giving 2 stars because I love the chicken Caesar salad. But the customer service is horrible. Not friendly at all. And when I walk in a restaurant there should always be someone there greeting me and ready to take my order, not chit chatting with co workers in the kitchen.
(2)Ronnie G.
This place is pretty good, their pulled pork BBQ sandwich is good the only problem is the price is a little high for the proportion, and the floor is sticky. But other than that it's a good fast little BBQ joint.
(4)Manuel P.
Foods good considering it's fast food a lil high up there in $$$ but good stuff if ur in the mood for BBQ and don't wanna go to a restaurant
(3)Hugh M.
(2)Tim B.
Eh... They don't have the big pickle jar any longer. Rather pedestrian BBQ. I'm not a hater, just have seen a decline as my family and I have eaten there many, many times.
(3)Rowena M.
Poor service today. Took 15-20 minutes to get our food, then my 3 pulled pork tacos had cold meat inside (like it had just come out of the refrigerator). They did replace with new hot tacos but it had already taken a long time to get served.
(2)Jeff H.
(3)Lora C.
Very pricey! The bbq meat is nothing to brag about. I never went back again I know good bbq living in Texas...enough said!
(1)Clint W.

(4)Steve S.
SAD
(2)Richard G.
The food is usually good. The only problem is its always served Lukewarm. The restaurant gets a C+ for cleanliness. The free ice cream is a perk.
(3)Jay B.
(2)Lizz T.
Finally some goodTexas style BBQ! Their turkey is so moist and perfect like everything else!! You won't be disappointed with their food
(5)Rachel Q.
Dickey's.. oh Dickey's..
(2)Kaylin S.
We ate here a few days ago and the food was delicious. I loved that you got free ice cream after, my family loved it too I must say. I was only a lite disappointed with the amount of BBQ sauce on my chicken sandwich, other than that the meal was perfect and delicious. Gotta ask for more next time!
(4)food c.
(1)Dave M.
(1)diana h.

To invest family dinner money, its a toss up.

still sucks....

(4)Samuel M.
Great BBQ and awesome service
(3)Ed G.
LOL
(1)Mrs. J.
(2)Lisa F.
The food is okay, the service is mediocre it is fully dependant on which manager is working. Remember to check your bag! My order is almost always missing something & I constantly have to go back. I only eat there because it's within walking distance of work.
(2)Jon K.
If I could give negatives I would... For all that money where's the beef? And at least at famous daves they give you more meat!!! For the same pricei get twice as much lucilles is better too way better!!! I've had Texas BBQ and there is a dickies which is way better I guess the sierra lakes location just sucks..
(1)Mike L.
(1)alex f.
(3)J T.
Food is okay, the sides are not good at all. I love the free pickles and their ribs are pretty good.. Not crazy about the place
(3)Claibon S.
(2)Kyle C.
I enjoined my meal at Dickys.
(4)JR V.
(1)Matthew E.
(2)Yajirobe S.
The meat was oily and somewhat bland. The only reason I Might CONSIDER going back would be for the dinner rolls that were delicious and the free icecream.
(2)Ellie G.
(4)Kristin C.
the service was slow, and it wasn't great food...just eh... wish I would've checked yelp. the 1 good thing, the free ice cream- my kids LOVED that...and my husband thought he was sly and made a root beer float...but he had to do that cause the BBQ was just eh.....
