Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
McDonalds is the most popular fast food burger restaurant serving different types of burgers in the United States. On the other hand, there are several restaurants such as Burger King are famous for serving the best hamburgers in the United States. Pricey and nothing special, but it is a solid burger.

The garlic fries are really good! I ordered the chickensandwichwithavocadothing and they give you an entire half of an avocado! awesome. The BF ordered another burger and they only gave him a few fries :( Dookie. I love how theres a little bar where you can get your own lettuce and sauce. Theres no way you can complain there. The drinks are kinda pricey but we get water anyways. Overall, its a good place to sit down and enjoy a fresh burger.

I've always liked this place ever since my husband brought here even when we were just dating. I like building my burger with what I want on it because most restaurant chains may not listen to what you don't want on the burger. I ordered the mushroom and cheese turkeyburger and it was delish! Will I comeback? Most definitely! =)
(4)Laura G.
Delicious burgers! The meat is decent quality but the flavor of the burgers are really yummy! Great place to go for a casual date.
(4)Miranda N.
I usually order their Gardenburger and garlic fries. Both are EXCELLENT! This is by far the best veggie burger I've ever had. The garlic fries cost a bit more, but are well worth it. I recommend Monsoon to all my friends!
(4)Tiffany F.
food is good. I always share a burger with a friend. In my opinion, it isnt all that, but definately good and filling. You get to add all of your own toppings...
(4)scott m.
Good chow as always. Best burgers I've found I've found in the area. DIY continents and fair prices, a win all the way around! And if you're not in the mood for burgers, The chicken is awesome. Served on a wheat bun. Good drink variety, beer, and thick shakes!

a little too spendy to make it a every day habbit. (maybe thats a good thing) i have eaten at this establishment several times and every time the good is delicious. my favorite has become their take on a chicken burger with garlic fries. if you want a cheap bite to eat, not the cheapest out there, but if you want a delicious burger, this is the place.
(5)Leatriz T.
The burgers were good and the place was clean.

So this place is a nice mom and pop shop, that's clean, well stocked and has a nice variety of food. It's definitely a much better option to hit up this place for a burger than any of the other chain restaurants in town. Although, I'd have to say the food is a little over rated. The burgers are good, but the meat is pretty bland and unseasoned. I personally went with a monsoon burger; which comes with cheese, bacon, and guacamole. The bacon was fresh, and tasted great. The guacamole was pretty bland, so I figure it's a pretty basic recipe if they make it inhouse. The meat was cooked to order, but since the meat isn't seasoned it leaves the burger tasting a little mediocre. The garlic fries are good, they're fresh and crispy, but not the most intense garlic taste, which is what I prefer. I think they just toss the regular fries in some freshly chopped garlic. In all, a good place, but definitely not 5 star food.

ooh man, this is a gem in a far away city! let me start off by saying how fresh everything is.. the meat is delicious and juicy when you order, you choose a 6oz burger or a 8oz burger, i ordered the 6oz and that's definitely enough.. unless you're REALLY hungry. then you choose how you'd like your meat, which is awesome because burger places don't really allow you to choose.. i like mine medium.. yum! then you choose your cheese and they have a variety of cheese to choose from, even better! after your order is done, you get to put your own condiments on, and they have a wide range of toppings.. from regular lettuce to olives.. i also ordered Texas toothpicks.. which were fried jalapeno slices and onions.. which were very good. the price is a bit high, 6-7 dollars per burger, that's if it's a specialty burger.. since i ordered a bacon cheese burger, i got 3 slices of bacon on it.. for $6.. i thought it was well worth the $$$ and the wait for the burgers..

Monsoon Burger is where you go when you want to choose how you want your burger served. Medium Rare? No problem. Rare? Still no problem. I prefer the Ultimate Cheeseburger with my choice of 3 different kinds of cheese. Whatever you choose, you'll be happy. This is truly the best burger in town. The fries are always hot, the onion rings are great. The only drawback for me is the noise level. If the place is packed, it's very loud. Add the big screen tv (always on sports when I've been in there) and the concrete floors, and the noise just seems to resonate. However, that wasnt worth taking the 5 star rating from the burgers.

I love FRIED ZUCCHINNI!!!! So mom orderded our lunch from here and of course it was ready to pick up as soon as we got there! We just had a simple Hamburger with fries and a side of fried zucchinni. I love the fact that they don't put any condiments on your burger, they actually have a little side bar where you can put as much or as little as you want! Works out great for me because I am slightly allergice to tomatoes! So got back to work and split everything down the middle with Mommsie....whom wasn't there because she was congratulating Junichi S. on his heroism from the Hwy 12 tragic Fire......came back to my desk and took a bite and I thought I was in burger heaven, Usually I have to have cheese on my burger, but this was one was on point. Cooked to perfection, and I mean that! I will be coming back here really soon!
(5)Jeff P.
In n out is a little cheaper but monsoon burger is worth the extra money. Delicious burgers and fries. More filling than in n out too. It's about the same price as 5 guys, but I think this tastes better. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
(5)Eric B.
I love the taste of their flame grilled burgers, and their garlic fries were pretty good. And the portions were generous, and there are various burger combinations to chose from. It was a bit pricey for me ($11 for a 6oz, garlic fries, & a drink). And it took forever (maybe 15 min) to get my order (there was only 1 guy working the grill). Pretty good overall. I'd go here if I wanted fries with my burger. If not, Dave's is just up the street

Last week I visited Monsoon Burger for the second or third time. I had a blue cheese burger, which was delicious. Here's my review I wrote on August 22, 2008. It still applies. At the time I arrived, this looked like a teen hang out. It had the noisy sports bar feel. I ordered the eight ounce ultimate cheese burger. It comes with fries and three slices of cheese. I chose pepper jack, cheddar and Swiss When they called me, I found my burger open faced with a stack of fries in a two foot diameter plate. OK, that's an exaggeration, but the plate is large. There were no fixings on the burger, but I saw someone selecting items from a salad bar. Wrong! It was the fixings bar. I chose a hunk of fresh lettuce heart, a huge onion slice, a bright red tomato slice, and some jalapeños. It was partially rare and medium-rare. Now I know they under cook, I'll order medium next time. I haven't had to wrestle with a burger since the buffalo burger I ate at the entrance of Yellowstone. I now consider this the best burger I've found within thirty-five miles of Sacramento. Oh, and by the way - the fries were good too. Nice and thick, soft, and flavorful.
(4)Michael W.
The family and I were heading back to SF from Sacto and decided to stop for burgers in Fairfield. We stopped by Dave's Giant Hamburger first, but they don't take plastic...and we were light on cash. So we headed to Monsoon Burger. The place was very clean and well furnished, and the girl who took our order was very friendly and professional. Most of us got 8 oz burgers. Although mine wasn't cooked medium like I asked, it was tasty and filling. The garlic fries were average. I had a taste of my daughter's vanilla shake, and it was pretty good as well. Although not the best burger I've ever had...it was still worth going there to eat.
(4)Tikal G.
It's a great mom and pop burger place. It's one of those places when bragging about the best Hamburger joints in your town... you take a person to this place. If you've never been a definite must.
(5)kellea p.
Monsoon Burger is really good! It's quite shocking for me to admit that about a burger joint, but I thought it was extremely tasty. I liked the fact that you can put on all the condiments you want, along with the veggies, yourself. I also liked that there were a number of choices for different types of burgers there. The garlic fries are incredibly yummy and well worth the $1 something extra you pay, so I highly recommend those too (plus they give you dipping ranch for FREE!). On thing to be aware of is that the 8oz burgers are really big, so if you're just 'kinda' hungry, you may want to opt for the 6oz. Also, since it's not a fast food place it's not a quick 5 min in-and-out type of restaurant so be prepared to wait the normal restaurant time for a burger to be cooked. Being that it's not a fast food place, it's not cheap, but that should be expected when you're getting a restaurant meal. By saying it's not cheap doesn't mean it's expensive either; I think it's reasonably myself :)
(5)Jeff R.
My go-to spot for a burger when visiting Fairfield!
(4)rena d.
very good burger, super friendly staff, garlic fries were really good but why hasn't anyone written a review of the whipped potato salad? if you haven't tried it you really should! it's really good potato salad, but whipped instead of chunky - great dressing, not too sweet, just right. LOVED IT!!!
(4)Jon G.
I got the 8oz burger and regular fries. It was a gigantic burger - would recommend the 6oz for most people. It's more than enough meat for one. While the seasoning they put on the burgers is good I think they use too much. The regular fries are just so-so, probably would try the garlic fries next time.
(2)Lucia M.
Love the burgers! They cook them the way you want them. You have no idea how difficult it is to get that now. Does anyone understand what 'well done' means anymore? They sure as hell do. You can add the condiments yourself, have it any way you want it. Downer: It is pricey....but the burger is totally worth it.

I will need to preface this by saying this summer I have been tainted by eating great burgers from NY, Sacramento, to homely little Fairfield. This place makes a very tasty burger and their garlic fries are so good you will need a whole pack of costco gum to get rid of the taste. They screwed up my order and kept the avocado on my burger, which didn't matter much, because the tastyness of this burger and all the things that came on my Monsoon burger kept me a happy camper. The major drawback to this place is that it really is popular and you can wait what feels like forever for your order. Call in ahead to save like an easy 20 minutes of your life. I won't say this is the best burger in town, because the best burger in town still belongs to Kinder's. But they have the best burgers and fries in town that's for a fact.
(4)Jarrod R.
I find myself somewhere on the fence between a 3 and 4 star rating on this one and would actually give it a 3 1/2 if that were an option. After reading all of the great reviews on Yelp, I was anxious to give Monsoon Burger a shot. After all, I am always looking for a great burger and like places that are not of the chain variety. As for the location, it is a little off the beaten path if you're not from Fairfield or already there anyway, but it wasn't too bad to get to. I ordered a regular sized burger with fries and a drink and my bill came out to just around $11. I think that is a pretty fair price for what it is. As for my burger, I ordered it with blue cheese and I guess I was maybe expecting a little something more, but it was literally just a few blue cheese crumbles on top. That said, my sense of a blue cheese burger may be tainted from one too many Bluenami burgers from Islands. I probably would have enjoyed the burger more if I would have just gone for a basic cheese burger with American on it. As for the meat itself, it had a nice flavor to it and Monsoon is definitely doing that part right. I like the fact that they have a topping counter where you can build your own burger the way you like it. They're pretty much doing the Fuddruckers concept, but just not on the same level. The toppings were not as plentiful or as fresh as what you would find at a Fuddruckers. As for the fries, they were crispy and you get a very good sized serving. Overall I enjoyed my lunch experiene at Monsoon and would definitely eat here again, but would not go out of my way to do so.

Not from the area, but wandered in based on Yelp's 4.5 stars average of this local burger barn. As advertised--a clean, friendly establishment. Condiment caddy is chock fulla hella good fresh produce tomatoes, lettuce, onions, jalapeños, relish, etc.; all what's needed to build your bad-ass burger! Crew ordered 3 burgers -- one mushroom with cheddar, one avocado with Swiss, & one mushroom with jack and avocado. Ordered all 'medium' and each was cooked to perfection! The Monson 'boys' add a nice crisply toasted bun to boot...making this a delicious experience. Standard fries (which each of us went with) left something to be desired, but would go back & maybe do onion rings or the garlic fries next 'go.' Staff is mad friendly & the clean bathrooms are another plus in the experience...overall 4-stars as far as burger joints go.
(4)Bailey C.
All the reviews for this place are true! Amazing hamburgers ... Garlic fries well worth the extra cost! I've eaten at this establishment twice - once again well worth the extra cost to get the garlic fries!
(5)Shawn B.
Too pricey for a darn burger joint - not that great either. Fire up your grill - it's a burger people!
(1)Marilyn B.
I have been several times but I went today and the burger was perfect. I highly recommend going. They are friendly and the food was great. It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

I am really perplexed that this place gets such high ratings on here. This has to be some kind of inside joke. Two friends and I stopped in one evening hungry after a long day of spearfishing. I'm from Fairfield and seeing this place get the same high marks as Dave's Hamburger and Joe's Buffet told me it had to be worth checking out. Other than a group of four people already eating their food, we were the only people in the restaurant. Being as hungry as I was, I ordered the monsoon burger- reputed by others on here to be colossal (it wasn't, but more on that later). A monsoon burger with fries and a coke set me back $13, which struck me as a baffling price...but again, I was optimistic given the high reviews here and hoped it would be worth it. As we waited 20 minutes for our food I began to get irritated. How long does a burger take to make? Not only that but I was standing next to a condiments bar...and so it began to dawn on me that I was expected to put my own burger together. Now I realize that- especially reading some of the reviews here- apparently some people get a thrill out of this particular corner being cut. I'm of the other variety- that picky weird customer who, after paying over $10 for a hamburger actually expects it to be fully prepared. A hamburger is not a complicated food product; how it tastes is largely dependent on how it is all put together, and a great burger place is supposed to be expert at that. Here, after 20 minutes of waiting, I was given a grilled patty on a toasted bun and told to have at the toppings myself. It takes special skill to put a bad taste in the customer's mouth before they've even tried the food. I finished making my "huge" burger (which was smaller than a Dave's burger and maybe about the size of a "six dollar burger" at Carls Jr- the "$6 burger" name being a now-defunct joke which took on a special irony that night) and ate it and the fries in no time. While not outstanding, this was a good burger. Again...I'm not entirely sure who to credit with that, since I had to assemble it myself. The fries were also good, though not great. All of us left the place feeling somewhere between "underwhelmed" and "completely ripped off." If it had all been cheaper I might have had no major problem here and voted two or two 1/2 stars- except that, again, I sort of expect a place priding itself on excellent burgers to do more than simply cook the patty for you like some $2 burger you could get at a BBQ in a park. But the $13 price and the 20 minute wait were really unforgiveable. It boggles the mind to remember that I could have gotten TWO (far superior) Dave's burgers or TWO (far superior) french dips from Joe's Buffet for the same price within 100 yards of this place...and I would have gotten my food- fully prepared in anywhere from 60 seconds (Joe's) to 5 minutes (Dave's). Next time I think I'll do that. I asked around the next day to make sure I wasn't the one who ws crazy. Five people (including a friend who is an excellent chef with more than 20 years in the business) echoed my sentiments and said they wouldn't go back.
(1)Kody P.
This is the kind of place that I will be sitting at home and thinking...."I REALLY NEED A BURGER"!!!!! Now, I'm not a huge burger fan, but this place just has the right idea when it comes to burger assembly. I LOVE IT!!!!!!
(4)Johnson B.
Great quality burgers for a reasonable price!! Every trip to Fairfield has a stop at Monsoon Burger, that's how much we love this place.
(5)Joshua L.
Best burger place around! I'm usually a red meat kind of guy, but my favorite here is the turkey burger with guacamole, mushrooms, and pepper jack. The fries are okay, but I prefer their potato salad. Yes, the burgers can sometimes fall apart. But if you're the type of person that's offended by sloppy eating, then you probably shouldn't be eating a burger anyway.
(5)James B.
The best burgers I've ever had. And the garlic fries are awesome!
(5)Michelle B.
The garlic fries are delicious! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! The garden burger is such a nice vegetarian option, and you get to add your own toppings to your liking so that's an added perk! 5 star customer service!
(5)Lito M.
I am very simple when it comes to burgers, I just eat them plain and I have two requirements for burgers: Big burger and enjoyable to eat. Monsoon rates as probably top 5 in my life, that did not come off my own grill. The half pound burger is big and fun to eat and filled me up! I have been begging my girlfriend to drive back up there with me to get one. A must stop when driving to Sacramento from the Bay Area. It can get busy, from what I hear, but we stopped on an early Friday night and it was not too bad. Relaxed, comfortable environment. They have their own toppings section where you can put your own lettuce, tomatoes, and what-have-you on it. I think the service is pretty quick considering how busy it can get and the time it takes to cook a burger as think as 8oz. Unless you are picky or too high maintenance when it comes to food, just got here and you will be happy that you did! Don't forget to check out the cool fish tank....
(5)Michael D.
This place is great. The best burger in Fairfield by a mile and any reviews that state otherwise are lying. I have been here in the last 4 years at least 30 times and the food is ALWAYS excellent. Great burgers, fries, and the salads are also tasty. The best sandwich in my opinion is the grilled chicken club.
(5)Sharlene M.
Not a bad place for a burger and they aren't stingy with the fries.
(3)Melissa K.
Found this spot on Yelp - and decided to give it a try as we are new to the area... ummm... are you kidding me !?!?!??! This is seriously the best burger joint I have ever tried. The namesake Monsoon Burger is amazing and you can't miss the garlic fries ! Oh... and the constant stream of military men from Travis ? Perfection !
(5)Adam O.
Great place for a burger. They cook it how you want it! Great place!!!!
(5)Timm T.
Yo! Yo! Yo! Timmi T in da house..... Proving a sucka is born every minute, I plunked down ANOTHER $4 to get across the bridge and headed back up to F-town to check out this place. This place is the bomb! I got the 8 oz cheeseburger (with fries) for like 6 1/2 bucks. That's a hella good deal. Burger was great. Very tasty, and the staff was friendly and helpful. What the hell are you waiting for? Get up there and get a burger. Now!
(4)Paulette C.
Good burgers can't really complain..but I found them to be nothing too special but that could be that I didn't order the right burger :) but I like them. All the condiments are off to the side so you put what you want on your burger which is always good! Overall I would say try it u may love it
(3)P C.
If you are looking for a good, fresh burger - this is the place.
(5)Jason C.
This place is always great! Had the pastrami burger with mushrooms and garlic fries. They always have some decent beers on tap. They cook the burger to perfection nice and pink in the middle. If your in the Fairfield area its a must try!
(5)Ryan F.
I have fond memories of this place. Often times I would find myself here ditching school or before water polo. That was years ago now. Tasty Burgers, customizable to your specifications. Quick, cheap, and tasty. If you're in the neighborhood I recommend it.
(4)Hai T.
This is one of the better burger joints in the whole Bay Area. The layout is pretty nice and spacious, and they've got an HDTV Flat screen setup in the rear of the place. The burgers are flat out awesome! I remember reading a while back, that they use some kind of grade A ground beef, and you can really taste the difference in quality. The buns on these burgers are also lightly toasted with a hint of butter. Any burger you get will be made really well, and the condiment bar adds that custom touch to your burger. If there is anything bad I would have to say, its that it can just be a tad pricey...but just get water instead of soda, and you're all good.
(5)christine l.
The menu is easy, choose your own condiments, burgers are ginormous, but kinda sheisty on the onion rings. OH.. and open 'til at least 9pm everyday! I like the burgers here better than Red Onion. They're juicy and don't make me fee like I'm going to have a heart attack after 3 bites. I could only fit half of the Monsoon Burger in my belly Sunday night. 8oz burger, guacamole, onions mushrooms and HELLA bacon- I appreciate that part the most.
(4)Jermaine B.
Food is on point, probably the best burger that the 707 has to offer. Grade A beef cook to whatever done-ness you desire. Good variety in the menu and a unique cast iron circle grill they cook on. A nice condiment bar to build your burger. Decor is modern, clean and nice. Service is good too....definitely a great place to eat. Try the monsoon burger...if i can remember correctly...its sauteed mushrooms, your choice of cheese, bacon and guacamole. Oh yea only thing lacking...is the amount of fries they give you considering the size and price of the meal itself.
(4)Gabriel Q.
I can't find too much to complain about this place. The selection is good; I chose the bleu cheese burger. They come in two sizes, 6 oz and 8 oz, but there was no effort to try to get me to choose the bigger burger. They also have regular fries and garlic fries. Again, no pressure as to which you pick. As a longstanding garlic head, I had to pick the garlic fries. The burger was done in about 10 minutes and it was a perfect medium, just as I ordered it. I noticed plenty of chunky bleu cheese, which was exactly what I was hoping for. They have a self serve condiment bar, which, if I liked a lot of condiments, would have been cool. I don't. But they seemed fresh. I would have liked some A1 sauce, but although there was some other stuff, it wasn't available. The garlic fries had plenty of delicious garlic and I'm still effervescing as we speak. All in all, it's a good place to eat and, if I'm town, I'll definitely visit again.
(4)M. R.
I've been going here for a couple years and have always found my food and customer service awesome. Today I ordered a veggie burger which I found quite tasty until I realized it had little chunks of mushrooms (I'm highly allergic to them). I went to ask the cook (REALLY nice guy) to confirm my greatest fears and it turned out that the burger did have mushrooms. BUT he offered to make me something else from the menu for free! I thought that was very accommodating, thoughtful, and considerate. He even asked if I wanted more fries and tell him exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it :) I have always loved Monsoon Burger but now I love it even more. Thanks so much for the ah-mazing service, curly fries, and chicken burger (which by the way, he forgot to add cheese but my ass could totally do without the extra calories :D).
(5)Karlton L.
Always a good burger. I love how the burger blood runs down my arms and the fact I can get an ale rather than a lame "pee-weiser". The space is configured functionally and attractively if a little noisy at times due to all the hard surfaces. But I appreciate the designer's intent. With that many folks a-slobberin'-and-a-drippin' meat juices all day, a good idea is to decorate so you can hose the place down occasionally. Mr. Pei runs the grill most days and does a good job cooking the cow to order. Want it cold in the middle? that's OK with the kitchen tho' they will warn about e-coli. We enjoy watching the beefy slabs spin on the "meaty - go-'round" (or what we also call the carn-ousel). The veggie bar is great to dress your cooked beasty-bit with garden items and there are cool hand-pump condiment silos so no one can Bogart the ketchup. The malt vinegar is another matter Don't forget the garlic fries. Gotta have 'em, ya know ya do. Always crispy outside and fluffy inside and enough garlic to make your breath just slightly offensive. mmmmmm And after ya finish your burger..... you can go over to Dave's Giant for a dessert burger. Karlton says blow into Monsoon.
(4)Reena P.
WOW. For a hole-in-the-wall, unknown (to me anyway) burger joint, Monsoon is pretty legitimate. The burgers here are made and served hot and fresh with a carousel of orders revolving fasting than you can imagine. An array of things to try here from burgers of all sorts, garden burgers and chicken sandwiches. As you order your own delectable selection, you can watch the burgers rotate on the grill behind the counter. All orders come with some sort of fries - and might I add... TONS of them. I had the curly fries but I seriously could have shared the whole sandwich and fries with someone else because the portions are that huge. Once your order is called, you can dress your burger however you'd like through a bar of toppings and condiments. If you want Ranch (like I always do with my fries!) be sure to ask them for it - it's behind the counter. Once you take a bite of this huge plate of deliciousness you'll ask yourself why you ever went anywhere else for an amazing burger or sandwich. Definitely food coma inducing so even though it's so tempting to have during your lunch break, I'd err on the side of caution.
(4)Jay R.
Damn I miss Monsoon burger! BLOWS TAYLOR'S REFRESHER OUT OF THE WATER! Tip: call your order in on your way, it will be waiting for you when you get there!
(5)Ryan S.
I've eaten here once. The place doesn't really stand out to me. It's a basic burger joint with high quality meat. Not really my thing, but a good place if you like burgers.
(3)Alison H.
Very good Cali burger, but the regular fries are so-so. Next time I go, I am definitely getting the curly fries and possibly a shake! yum!
(4)Phil L.
Monsoon burger use to be my favorite burger joint, but as of late, the burger hasn't been up to par as the past. What makes this place unique is the rotating grill.
(3)Marion M.
This place is awesome. We were 5 for lunch on Saturday. 2 of the group had been there before. Have the 6oz burgers, unless you are SUPER hungry. The meat is really good. The produce bar was very fresh. We had the California burger, Bacon cheeseburger, Avo burger and mushroom burger. All were excellent. The regular fries are good, but try the curly fries!! It is so nice to have a beer with your burger. The beer choice was excellent. We will return. They are open daily 11am to 9pm.

Great service, a real Fairfield vibe. A burger menu you cant find anywhere else in Fairfield. They do serve beer and the atmosphere is "come and hang out". Good grind on the meat, excellent menu, condiment bar which they even give you a to go container for to go orders and let you pile up whatever you want for your burger.. I had the regular fries and they were pretty good.... Prices are GREAT for what I got..

Fairfield's new kid on the block that also qualifies for one of the best burgers of all time. Expensive, but you're worth it. Get the Monsoon Burger. Basically, it's a bacon guacamole cheeseburger. Don't forget to upgrade to the garlic fries. Your date might not like it, but it won't matter because you'll be napping after this meal.
(5)Paul B.
Ate here a few times when I was in Cali and their Burgers and Garlic Fries are great.
(4)Evelyn L.
Great burgers, cooked to your liking! I like medium well! The buns are toasted and you get to choose your dressings in a salad area. The fries were good, though I wish I had more garlic on my garlic fries. Hidden Gem!
(4)Anne K.
Monsoon Burger is excellent... not only do they have amazing burgers packed with flavor & fresh toppings... but they have excellent customer service as well. Definitely will return for more.
(4)Scarlet S.
I heard so much good stuff about this restaurant, but I was really disappointed. This isn't a true "restaurant", it's an order-at-the-counter place. The burgers were good, but honestly, I can do better at home for a fraction of the price. I was hoping for something really fantastic, and this just wasn't it. It was good, just disappointing.
(2)Tad T.
The best restaurant burger I ever had. Even better then Kobe and Fillet Mignon burgers I've had in the City and Napa.
(5)Petra S.
I'm not really a burger person but so far this is one of the BEST and juiciest I've had. It takes a while for them to make it and it gets packed shortly after opening for lunch, but it's worth trying at least once. They cook the burgers on a flame grill which keeps the juices from drying out and gives it a different flavor than on a regular grill. You can choose the size of the patty, from a 1/3 pound to 1/2 pound for about 5-8 bucks, this does include the fries though. They serve it to you on a big old platter and they have a salad bar where you get to control the topping you want and the condiments. For drink, they have the usual sodas but I like the Pekoe brand tea they serve, which places like whole foods carry. The tea is iced and sweetened but not over sweetened like McDonald's teas, and it comes in green or black tea and best of all it's Organic. Both are really good. It's a good place to stop by after work, especially if you work in downtown Fairfield like me and don't have many options here. Also I find this place so much better than Buds Burgers in Vallejo or Red Onion, neither of which I liked. Their comparable to Nations minus the Flame grilled and the fact that for the price it comes with fries. I'm still more of an In & Out person because of the animal style.

We stopped in looking for the five star burger experience everyone raves about here. However, we were quickly disappointed not soon after walking through the door. We started by trying to please the little one in our group with a child's cheeseburger but were advised they had no children's patty. What's the name of this place? Monsoon BURGER? No offer of half a burger or nothing. It's chicken nuggets or a hot dog. STRIKE ONE. Then I wanted to upgrade my fries to curly fries (as offered on their menu) but guess what? They're out of curly fries. STRIKE TWO. My friend steps up and places her order that includes a cookies and cream shake. We sit down and damn if the waitress doesn't come over to tell us they're out of cookies and cream ice cream. She decides to go chocolate instead and while the waitress is working on the shake another employee walks by with a huge tub of the cookies and cream so it seems my friend will get her craving filled properly after all. But I guess our waitress ignored the delivery because she delivers a plain chocolate with no comments of any sort. STRIKE THREE. The bottom line is If you decide to eat here make sure to call in advance to ensure their inventory is good. Although with the poor service and average food I don't think it's worth the effort.

In the mood for a decent, non "fast food" related burger? Monsoon is THE place to go. I go here about twice a month, and I can't help but notice that every time I go here, the taste is always consistent along with the amount of condiments and vegetables that they give, and these are always fresh too. Big burgers for the right price and the fries are also cooked the right way. So if you want a burger but don't want to go "fast food", check this place out.
(5)Kirsten G.
I wrote in my review on Dave's Burgers to save your money and just go here (down the street around the bend of Texas Street). The burgers are the best I've had in Fairfield. Far tastier than Daves. And they have fries - good fries. I've never been disappointed. I don't want to gain too much weight, so I can't eat here that often, but it's definitely worth the price to go here for a really good burger.
(5)Celeste W.
This is the best burger in Solano County. If you consider yourself a healthy eater, you can enjoy a 6 oz lean burger on "whole wheat" bun with no cheese and load it with veggies. They use 80% lean ground beef and grill the burgers on the flame. Yumm! Remember to tell them to hold the butter from the bun and you only want a little french fries. I'm there at least twice a month and it fits into my healthly eating plan. If you till have room for dessert, you can visit their yogurt store next door. (Owned by the same owner) They have a wonderful selection of non-fat flavors with fruit toppings.
(5)Julian K.
The best burger in town. The only complain I have is that you need a knife and fork to eat your burger and they only have little plastic silverware. Other than that it was great.
(5)Samantha H.
The avocado burger is awesome! This is probably one of the best burgers that I have had in awhile. It was very flavorful and juicy. The produce was very fresh...nice red tomatoes and green lettuce. The fries are good, too. I will definitely be back!
(4)jermaine w.
This place has the best burgers in the town of fairfield I really enjoyed my food and the service was very good and everything was just great
(5)Fiona B.
As a vegetarian, I've been exploring places in Fairfield where I can get a good veggie burger. Nations is mediocre and is pretty much my last resort, and Red Robin, although original, is a bit pricey plus the mall-vibe is really annoying. I went to Monsoon's the other day and was incredibly satisfied with my garden burger. I ordered it with guacamole and grilled onions, then added lettuce and tomato at the do-it-yourself bar. It was delectable, and I will definitely be returning to Monsoon's for more veggie burger goodness.
(4)Dana K.
I love this place! Yummmmy! The inside has a sort of industrial look, metal, cement, little lights...I like it! The fries are regular-good. The burgers are to-die-for..I always get the huge 3 cheese burger and add mushrooms. I like the condiment/produce bar. Also, the people who work there are cool. It's a bit hard to go there at lunch on a workday (takes a little while when they are busy) but if you're like me a take a bit loooger lunch (shhhh...) it works out fine!
(5)frederick j.
not bad...no problem going here from time to time. You buy a burger and you get a burger. What else is there to say.
(4)Ethel B.
We have ben going here for years and I have never had a bad item! Everything is fresh and the place is kept clean. Highly recommend!
(5)Chris C.
big burgers, fresh and tasty, flame grilled.
(4)heather m.
Good burgers and very nice staff. Kind of a neat set up - can watch them cook the burgers on a round grill. Has a topping bar for the burgers. Offer side sauces (like ranch and bbq sauce) willingness.
(5)John N.
burgers are juicy and not greasy. theyre cooked on a rotating george foreman type grill. I'd rather come here than Dave's located down the street. Dave's doesn't even serve fries with their burgers. The turkey burger, which are either hit or miss, is a hit here. The condiment bar is an added plus, where you can add your own produce to your meat.
(3)Scott A.
Decent burgers at reasonable prices. There is no waiter service which I don't mind for lunch. The nice thing about this place is that they have a comdiment bar and self service fountain drinks. The atomsphere is a bit dreary if you ask me but again for lunch it's just fine. Frech fries were pretty good too.

So Mrs. V tells me if I spend Saturday running errands with her she will take me to a new burger place to try. Lucky me because she brings me to Monsoon burger. This place is great. I had the 6oz mushroom burger with Swiss (it's a classic) with regular fries and Mrs. V orders the 6oz burger with cheddar , avocado and a side of onion rings. The burgers were perfectly cooked; medium just as ordered. I really like that they are cooked to order and even happier that they know how to cook a perfect medium as most places can't seem to get this right. We both liked the whole build your own burger thing they have going on here. The fries were ok (nothing special), onion rings were really good but the best side was the whipped potato salad. Definitely try the potato salad. The highest compliment I can pay this place is the fact that my wife said she would definitely come back for burgers here. She's not much of a burger person so this says a lot.

Today was my first time eating at Monsoon Burger, thus my reasoning for giving the place three stars. I'm going to give it another shot and then post another review after my second visit. I've heard many raves from my friends and sister about this place. Of course, I was eager to give this place a shot after hearing so many wonderful things about this place. After entering the venue, I skimmed through the menu to see which item seemed more appealing for my taste buds. After closely examining the menu I see, "Bacon Cheeserburger", and knew right then and there that I wanted to have that in my belly. I ordered my burger medium well, without fries (because I'm not a huge french fry person). Paid for the food and then proceeded to get my beverage. Since February, I've stopped or limited my soda intake. SO to see that they had raspberry iced tea was a major plus in my book. After waiting about 5-10 minutes, our (my sister and I dined here) food was ready. It's pretty much self-serve after you've gotten your burger. Which is alright. I say this because, I enjoy adding my own veggies to my burger. I can actually add as many tomatoes as I like, without having to be charged extra for it. My initial reaction after biting into the burger was, "this isn't medium well!" Whenever I eat a burger, I love to have my burger cooked medium well. Yeah, I'm strange. But I like to see a little pink/red in my beef. As I continued to eat, I kept thinking to myself, "These people were gassing this place up. I don't see why, because this burger is dry and lacks flavor BIG time." I did however, try my sister's garlic fries and those were full of flavor. Needless to say, I was disappointed with my first trip to Monsoon Burger. I'll give it another shot soon. But for the mean time, my three star rating will have to do.

Racist! I went to watch the NBA finals game (Go Heat) and asked the cashier if she could change the channel to the game. Well she said that she would do it but never did. I asked again and then said she couldn't find the channel. I then told her it was on ABC but she completely ignored me. Well as I finished my meal a white woman asked about the game and sure enough she changed it. HORRIBLE service!!! This happened Thursday, June 2, 2011 6:30-7:30PM

you cant put these burgers down! and that's literally because it'll just start to fall apart otherwise. So i've lived in fairfield my entire life and I've never been here. all my friends and schoolmates have, but just not me. so finally when groupon had a deal i jumped on it. me and the bf came here on tuesday night, it crowed or anything but it started to pick up after we ordered. I got the blu cheese burger, and him the southwest. to begin with we aren't burger fanatics not even fans. we'll just eat it and hope its good. sadly the burgers didn't knock our socks off, it was just something that just filled us up. this place reminds me of fuddruckers, and even their burgers weren't all that great. I mean it is nice that you get your own condiments and what not but the burger itself is just eh. maybe i'm just not a fan of this type of style of burger eating but it honestly wasn't anything too impressive to make me want to say "I'm hella coming back", sorry.
(2)Ryan S.
My family loves this place. Would eat here everyday if I could afford it.

To sum up my impression of Monsoon Burger: delicious, gourmet burgers in an unpretentious casual setting. The burgers are big, tasty, fresh, made to order, and will totally fill you up. The condiments bar on the side makes your burger totally customizable, which I really like. They also have a wheat bun option. I went for the no-carb option and packed on the lettuce. The bf and I both got fries on the side - garlic and curly. Garlic fries are a must. Not sure what they do with it because they don't seem overly fancy, but they are addictive. The curly fries are also good in their own right, but I think the seasoning really added a kick to the always dependably delicious fry. In either case, the fries were good, and even though they only came on the side, they gave generous portions, which I also really like. The pricing is funny. The difference between most 6 oz and 8 oz burgers is about $0.50 so you probably will want to go for the 8 oz, despite that being a lot of meat to be scarfing down. Don't worry though - it'll be worth it and I trust you'll find a way to make it happen. Depending on which burger you go with, they range from $6-$10, with most being around $8-$9. Would definitely recommend this place, especially after a long hard day touring the Jelly Belly factory, which is what we did :)

Love Monsoon--The burgers here are amazinggg!! We also had garlic fries, which were really good. I ordered a 6 oz. an could barely finish it. Prices are reasonable, and I love that they have the toppings bar so you can make it however you want. This was seriously the best burger that I have had in a long time! I've heard the chicken sandwiches are really good too, but haven't tried it yet. Monsoon in Fairfield and Froggy's in Davis are definitely my top burger joints around here.
(5)Jacqueline P.
In my opinion, this place makes better burgers than Five Guys burgers! I would say that this place makes some tasty, yummy, all around fresh burgers! My b.f. brought me here for the first time on a Monday afternoon. He ordered the California Burger and I couldn't make up my mind on which burger to try..so I ordered the same thing. Wow! The avocado and 3 strips of bacon with Pepper Jack cheese on a (I would say a pound of beef) with lettuce and tomato was just so good! I also tried their curly seasoned fries and that too was delicious! I got a little messy eating my burger. It was just so HUGE! But I finished it like a champ! I would definitely come here again and try the other burgers! Oh and the restaurant itself was clean, modern, spacious and comfy! By comfy, I mean, you didn't feel out of place being there. The cashier was friendly and the cooks were too! Great place for lunch!

Best. Burger. Joint. In. Fairfield.
(5)Ryan G.
Was in the neighborhood and based on the reviews here we decided to stop and get some burgers at Monsoon Burger. Pros: Clean open atmosphere Fresh toppings that you can put on yourself from the condiments bar Very friendly service Burgers cooked to order. Kid friendly Bacon was crispy and yummy Cons: Felt like an upscale Burger King, I don't know how else to describe this. Everything was prepackaged and just kinda sitting out. Don't get me wrong the burger was great just felt cheap somehow. Overall: Was a good burger and if I was in the neighborhood I would stop by again for a quick and yummy burger. Would I go out of my way, like I did, to go there again? No.
(3)Paul K.
Burger heaven. Simply put, if you like burgers you're doing a disservice to yourself by not eating here. The food is more expensive than a crumby burger chain, but hey, you're reading reviews because you CARE about taste and quality. The restaurant is run by the same extended family that owns Sliders down in San Francisco and both places are great.
(5)Gregory L.
We visited a few years back while on a super road-trip from AZ to No-cal to So-cal and back. The place was pretty spartan, but you're coming for the food, right? The grill that the burger is cooked on is interesting - a round grill. The food was fantastic. Everyone loved their burgers - and the kiddos enjoyed their chicken fingers. We were in town to swing by the Jelly Belly factory - different than the last time we were here many moons ago - but still fun.
(4)Lester A.
One of the top 3 burger joints in Fairfield, but I honestly can't say in what order. All the burger selections can make your stomach rumble, I like how they cook the burgers over the fire and the way you can accommodate your burger with your choice of veggies and condiments at the condiment bar. You can design your own burger too of course and it's a plus that they serve beer as well. Great selection of fries too from regular to curly to garlic. It's not much to look at inside as far as decor but I guess a burger and beer makes up for it. Definitely competes with the burger joint down the street.
(4)Branston P.
I love monsoon burger. Easily my favorite burger joint in the area. Avocado cheeseburgers never fail, and the garlic fries are awesome as well. I have never been disappointed here and I have been many times. Burgers are always cooked on an open flame however you like it, with cheese options and of course bacon. Well worth it for the price, it always leaves you full for a majority of the day, and they serve beer! This place is full of win.
(5)Kristine D.
great food. takes a while. but very food. def recommend this place for burgers!
(4)Kima T.
A great local burger joint in Fairfield. I've been here a couple of times and they don't disappoint. However, I kept looking up for "gourmet" burgers and this place kept popping up, which is NOWHERE near the gourmet I was looking for. Anywho, if you want a delectable, old-fashioned burger then come here(: Fresh condiments and the owner is almost always on the grill.
(3)Brian f.
Ad far as burger joints go i think this one is the best around this area......The burgers are mad FRESH! and there THICK and juice...I LOVE that you can make your own burger with the DIY condiment table im very picky about how i like my burger and whats on it and i love that i can put it togeather any way i want........I also think this place is better then Daves giant burgers because for one its not tiny you have room to breath and walk around inside there is Tv's for you to watch and clean bathrooms and it has FRIES (daves has no fries)..... Anyways the burgers are to order how you like them cooked and patty's are thick all in all its better then any burgr place in vacaville no doubt and the best place in fairfield for a burger...... Dont be fooled by the reviews for daves giant burgers there not as good as people keep reviewing it as.......
(5)Marion W.
This place brings back memories when I was in armijo highschool and my boys and I would come here every Wednesday to eat lunch after school . Just a good burger place, very modern, they lay out a small salad bar so you can add as much vegetables on your burger as you want. Prices are typical for a burger, just a cool hang out if you are in town waiting for your haircut or just want to kill some time.
(5)Vicky L.
Good place for burgers and fries. Great tasting and reasonable prices & located right next to Avalanche Frozen yogurt (my fave place for froyo). Family owned and good, friendly service. You pretty full fast with one of their burgers. Well managed restaurant
(3)Kayser P.
CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS!!! No one acknowledges you when you walk in. No hi hello how are you doing, nothing they just stare at you like your stupid... even though their BURGERS ARE REALLY GOOD you still have to have some what of a customer service, been here three times and all three experiences were the same. It Sucked!!!Only reason I came back was the dang BURGERS ARE SO DELICIOUS. I aways get the musroom beacon swiss burger and its bomb.com !!! I got a love n hate thing going on with them haha... HOLLA!!!
(2)R V.
I really love this place. They have a multitude of different burger combos & you can get a 6 oz patty or 8 oz, so you can cater to how hungry you might be. The condiment bar is always fresh & fully stocked, & also includes jalapenos & marinated red onions, which I dare you to find at any other burger place. Today I had a southwest burger (6 oz) with fries, fried zucchini & a chocolate milkshake. You can order your burger cooked as you like (medium for me) which is another plus. The bacon on my burger was cooked to order, not pre cooked & reheated like most other places. The barbecue sauce was tangy, but not overpowering. The fried zucchini was crispy, not overcooked. The chocolate shake was fresh, very thick & tasted like a really good malt. All very good. The only drawback was that the ranch dressing cup for dipping my zucchini in was very skimpy & it wasn't easy finding a seat because it's a very popular place. Definitely getting here early helps.
(4)Carolyn N.
I came here with a Groupon and basically spent $3.00 after my $10 Groupon. I had the bacon burger with avocados and while the burger was fantastic... the avocados slid out because they were so big! No wonder why Subway and Safeway always has them mashed up for your sammich. I'd go back - esp since I bought 2 Groupons... not too sure if I could muster up $14 for a burger meal with a Bud Light and $1.00 tip though, but support your local businesses!

After a day of hiking with friends and our dogs in Vacaville we decided to stop in at this place. We'd worked up an appetite and I was craving a juicy burger so hard. My husband suggested the place. He raved about their Monsoon burger so we went. This place is pretty good although I really wasn't prepared to spend $30 for two hamburgers, two orders of fries, and two milkshakes. Is that normal? Anyway, I'm a fan of mushroom burgers so I had to get this. I opted for garlic fries because I'm a fanatic and the girl at the register recommended a Cookies 'n' Cream milkshake over the Black & White, so I obliged. My hubs got the Monsoon burger, regular fries, and a Peanut Butter Cup milkshake. The patties are cooked on a rotating grill that resembles a volcano. Or I guess a monsoon? I don't really know what form those take. I'd never seen a grill like that before, pretty unique. The place wasn't too crowded, it took maybe 10 minutes for our orders to come up and we had the pleasure of adding our own special toppings and such at the toppings bar. Neato. My burger was as expected: juicy, mushroom-y, and satsifying. Alas, with all good, juicy burgers, this one had a soggy end. Don't you just hate when that happens? Quite honestly, I've had better garlic fries. They weren't garlic-y enough for me. It looked like they just sprinkled garlic on the fries after cooking them. For me, the best garlic fries are green (see Taylor's Refresher review). But I love fries nonetheless and they did not go to waste. The milkshakes were super thick. I had to wait for it to melt a little bit before I could start chuggin' it down. This place is pretty dang good. I'd definitely come back.
(3)Jessica H.
Amazing burger and pretty good curly fries this is the place to be :)
(5)Faaae L.
This place is easy to find, prices are reasonable, and the sitting area is clean with plenty of seats. I had the bleu cheese burger, medium well done with garlic fries. Both were really good. The condiments are part of a condiment bar so you can pick your additions (lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, etc.) which is very convenient. It also helps to keep your order simplified and less confusing for the order taker and cook. It's located just next door to Avalanche Yogurt shop. A great dessert stop after stuffing your face with an awesome fresh burger.

My husband and I had a craving for hamburgers and he suggested we try Monsoon Burgers. We must have driven by this place over a hundred times since we moved to Fairfield five years ago but never really had a want to try it out. So we Yelped it on our iPhone and based on the reviews we went to check it out. We went about 11:30 AM and there was ample parking. There were only a few guests already seated and one group coming in behind us when we walked in. We were almost overwhelmed with the variety in the menu. Hamburgers, none the less, but so many different kinds. I was pretty surprised by the interior. It was modern and industrial. I love the stained concrete floor and the entire place and design seemed well thought out. I noticed the patties on a circulating grill. I knew it was going to be worth trying. We stood at the counter for a good five minutes looking over the floating menu above the counter trying to decide on what to get. I opted for the Mushroom Cheeseburger with swiss cheese while my husband ordered their signature Monsoon Burger. I was caught off guard when she asked how she wanted our patty done. I find that only those with quality beef only dare ask that type of question. We got ours medium. Both meals came with french fries--original or curly. We both got the curly fries. Their ice tea was really refreshing too. It's dispensed from an ice tea machine that gives you the option of sweetened black, green, or raspberry or unsweetened black. Great option for us who try not to drink soda. Oh, and did I mention that they also serve beer? It took about 10 minutes for our order to be ready and we were impressed! The condiment bar did it for me. Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickled goodies, sliced black olives, etc.) I love the fact that they had an option of both green leaf or iceberg lettuce. I hate iceberg lettuce but my husband loves it so we were both happy. From my first bite to my last, it was juicy and flavorful and cooked to the correct doneness (is that a word?) even with the additional toppings. By the time I finished my burger the entire place was packed with patrons and I noticed a high volume from the Air Force Base. Ladies, if your single, this is a place to hit up since I also noticed that a lot of the patrons were men! Must be the beer with the burger option. Matter-of-fact, I was the only female in there stuffing my face with the best of them until the late lunch crowd came in. The burgers here were freggin' delicious! I highly recommend this place and would head here first before In-and-Out or Red Robin when I need my burger fix.
(5)Michael R.
awesome burgers and fresh produce! I really should give a 5 but i never give 5's, lol. I have had just about every sandwich on the menu and always enjoy it here. if you are coming for lunch on a weekday, arrive before 12n or there is a line of airmen from Travis that slows things down. enjoy!!
(4)SFgirl B.
Pros: Friendly service Veggie/condiment bar (gotta ask for extras like ranch though) Good quality, fresh beef and good looking produce Excellent value on kid's menu and decent pitcher prices for beer Nice interior, though tables are limited Cons: Sketchy location Lettuce was not thoroughly washed Whipped potatoes were not salad - they were just cold mashed potatoes Prices were higher than necessary for burgers and soda fountain Poor ventilation (everyone leaves there smelling like smoke) Food was OK but not awesome
(3)Amanda M.
The garlic fries are killer but this place can get pricy and loud if crowded. The burgers are pretty good but I don't go out of my way to eat here. If I'm in the area it's good but I wouldn't make a special trip here.
(3)Lori A.
Absolutely the best burger in Solano County - hands down! The burgers are grilled perfectly and the buns are the bomb! The 'build your own burger' bar is awesome and always spotlessly clean. Their prices are reasonable. My only wish is that they had healthier sides besides fries and onion rings. Fresh fruit or a salad bar would do well here. I'd also like to see them get whole wheat buns. Update: Apparently they do have whole wheat buns and I never realized it. I will definitely order whole wheat next time!
(5)Nikkie M.
Glad that there are a lot of choices for different kinds of burgers. Cool that you can put your own fixings, but really disappointed that they didn't make fresh onion rings or fries and came from a frozen bag that I could buy at a store. Downside because if its not made in house, then what about the burgers? I would come back for the turkey burgers, but definitely not as good as Bud's in Vallejo.
(3)Ashley C.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! Can that just be my review? This place has GOOD QUALITY MEAT. You know how when you're so hungry and a big juicy burger sounds delicious (except maybe to you, Tara W.) so you scarf one down and you're satisfied? Well, don't scarf your burger down too quickly here at Monsoon Burger - you really have to appreciate the quality of the meat. It's just SO tasty! The burgers are perfectly seasoned, the size options are good, cheese/topping choices are great, and it's not so overwhelmingly huge that it falls apart when you try to eat it (unless you get two of the huge patties with a ton of toppings like a certain person I know). And randomly, the cops are ALWAYS here - eating though, not breaking up fights or anything. Bet it's a nice break from coffee and donuts! Burgers don't get much better than this!
(5)K S.
The best burger money can buy in Fairfield. Very filling and very fresh tasting. More expensive than Dave's but better pound for pound. Plus, Monsoon has fries unlike Daves.
(5)Angel T.
Love the burgers!
(5)Jessica C.
I love this place. Best burgers in town. They're juicy and fresh, and whatever they're seasoned with is delicious. I always get the mushroom burger with swiss. Get the curly fries! It's filling and I love coming here. The owner is always there and works his butt off!
(5)nina m.
One of the best burgers I had . I live in South bay and had to travel with kids to Napa for the weekend , looked it up in yelp as the best burger joint in Fairfield ! So that is what I think: 1.Great Service. 2.Tasty Burgers and good quality meat 3.Super clean 4.Fries are so good I loved the spinning grill And best of all the kids loved it. If I ever stop in Fairfield again I will go to the Monsoon Burger
(5)Scott D.
Awesome burgers! I have been to Monsoon's at least 15 times, and each time the burgers are to die for! You seriously can't get a better burger in the Fairfield area. You can tell the ingredients are made fresh. Not only is the food great, but the service is great as well. You can tell how good a place is by the amount of military and law enforcement you see eating there. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND!!

a long overdue review for a place i wish was right around the corner from my house....however, due to the fact that even when i was living in the bay area i was about 90+ minutes south of this place..a second try was unlikely... so i will just have to live with the fact that the one time i had the burger and the shake will likely be my last and the memories of how delicious EVERYTHING was (seriously, so good!) will live on... (unless of course JH and i decide the jelly belly factory is a must see [again?]).... on that note, whether you live in the area or maybe you're checking out the jelly belly factory tours...grab a burger here (and a shake!) and you won't regret it!

Best burgers and fries in the area. Only suggestion would be to add BBQ and ranch to the condiments and possibly sweet potato fries instead of onion rings (they're a little too crispy for me) Update: BBQ sauce is in! And I was right. Perfect sauce to add a little more variety. :)

Service is great. The place is always clean and staff is very helpful and attentive. The food is great and fresh. I don't eat red meat so the great selection of chicken, turkey, veggie and fish burgers is wonderful. My BF actually likes this place over all the other burger places in Fairfield including in-no-out and five guys. There's also not a huge wait even if the place is packed. They definitely have there system down. The only thing I wish they did was have one or two other sides to go with burgers as I don't always want fries and baby carrots are not an option I want. Or if they just sold the burgers a la carte.
(5)Brittney M.
The bacon burger though.... I have no idea why but I'm addicted. I've dreamed about it. Great local joint. The burgers come with a good amount of fried and their milkshakes are no joke. Haven't tried any other burgers yet but trust me... I will. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because it's a little bit pricier than id like. But hey, the world isn't perfect.

Late lunch after my daughter's softball tournament and Monsoon Burger hit the spot. Great variety of burgers and lots of topping options. The hubby got the NOLA burger and we barely made it home. He had food coma and we had to pull over in Concord for him to take a nap and me to buy him a coffee with an extra shot. Oy Vey! It was awesome that they had regular fries, curly fries and garlic fries. We would definitely frequent Monsoon Burger if we lived in the area.

I really like burgers. Monsoon has a respectable selection of burgers and shakes. The food is fresh and well prepared.

Not sure why this place is popular. If you're looking for a burger, Dave's Giant Hamburger down the road is still the best burger in Fairfield. This is the type of place where you put your own toppings and condiments on. For what they charge, they should put it on. Their garlic fries is fries with parmesan cheese and garlic salt--no real garlic--it doesn't stick to the fries so you have to eat with a spoon or fork to get any garlic flavor. Nothing special here. Move on to Dave's for a burger.

First time at Monsoon burger. They have a lot of choices of the different kinds of burgers you can choose form. They have a good ingredients bar to make the burger the way you want it. I didnt order a burger, I had ordered the Chicken Breast Burger and fries. The price wasnt bad for both. The Chicken burger was very juicy and flavorful. I would definitely order it again, especially I am trying to eat a bit healthier. It also came with a good amount of fries. I do want to come back and try something new.

This place was amazing. We honestly went here because it had an out of the normal name and we wanted burgers and we ended up with an out of the normal burger. Most places you have either a cheese burger or a hamburger, this place had a bunch of creative burgers and you get to put your own veggies on it (bonus). I had the pastrami burger with blue cheese and it was phenomenal, I bit into it and noticed that the whole burger was full if flavor. The patty was juicy and had a great seasoning the pastrami had spice and the bun grilled and slathered with butter. Best choice ever. My girlfriend had the house special the Monsoon Burger. I couldn't each much of it due to being allergic to avocado but I did take one bite and damn was it worth the minor allergic reaction!! Over all the place was clean, staff was nice and the food was ready quick. I have just became a regular.

My husband and I have been coming here for years so it's hard to believe I haven't reviewed it yet. So, here goes... I friggin' love this place. It one of the few burger places that will make my meat the way I like it - still mooing. So delicious. The California burger is so perfect - topped with cheese of your choice and a half an avocado. My kind of perfect burger. The turkey burger is solid. The chicken sandwiches are nice. The fried zucchini is so good too. Overall, a wide variety of choices on the menu. Even the kids meals are good. The plain fries have never been my favorite. The garlic fries though are so delicious, especially with something delicious from the beer tap (and with Giants game on? I'm good!). My phoned in orders are always correct AND packed properly with bun separate so it doesn't get soggy. The service is always on point, friendly and with a smile. A few years ago I accidentally left my wallet and the manager returned it to me. I was a fan before but that experience solidified it for me. Just great customer service.
(5)Steve L.
Lunch for the first time here ordered bacon cheeseburger, and frys. In about 10 minutes my order was ready. I ordered my burger med and got it well done. Normally I would have asked for it to be redone but thought since it was my first time I'd just go with it. There were more than enough frys that came with the burger although it was cooked a bit more than what I wanted was pretty tasty. I'll be back here again
(4)Kimi R.
Getting warmer.... Monsoon Burger is honestly pretty decent. You're going to get a deluxe burger cooked the way you want with a ton of flavor and a toppings bar that's always loaded with freshness. Fries are decent but hold their own (and at least they have them, unlike some burger joints on the same street) with nice big drinks and quality 50-gallon milkshakes that are an endeavor to finish even without some of that sizzly seasoned goodness. The whole menu is a good option. Kinda high-level as far as burger cost goes, but not a bad place to occasionally splurge. If there can only be one in what I'm sure is a fierce battle with Dumpy Dave's, I hope it's MSB. Just go eat your burger already. There's nothing to fear if you're not broke.
(3)Courtney R.
This place was good. The burgers and fries are a bit too greasy for me so I will not go out of my way to come here again but if you're in the area and want a "real" burger you should stop in. If you're a sports fan they did have the baseball, Go Dodgers, playing.
(3)Aaron G.
Burgers are great (6oz or 8oz) and all the usual toppings are available. They have been around for years and I just recently made this my go to place for a burger after moving back to town. My usual order is the avocado burger with garlic fries. Half a freakin' avocado on a burger?! Yes, please!!! Tons of fries as always. Great menu options that offer more than just a burger (e.g. chicken, vegetarian). For a burger with upgraded fries and a drink don't expect to pay less than $10. It's pretty much worth it in my opinion/experience.

Every city has it's hidden gems. Monsoon burger is Fairfield's. A happy medium (I thought didn't exist) between a bougie big town gourmet burger and a classic small town burger joint burger can be found here. I had the 6oz cheeseburger with cheddar and the meat was a perfectly seasoned medium rare and there is a condiment bar that allowed me to pick my favorite part of the lettuce. I hate when I get that hard stemmy part of the lettuce. I prefer the softer outer part of the head (which was abundantly available). The curly fries were also delish and they even made me a blended coke float upon request (not on any menu usually but I try to make it happen when I can). Lastly, the staff was super nice, as evidenced by their willingness to meet my special request. If I wasn't an uber gourmet burger kind of guy this would be 5 stars, but nonetheless a solid 4 star joint for me.
(4)Fran F.
Had one of the best burgers in a long time here. Loved the garlic fries. Will try them again next time I am in town.
(5)Susan R.
I have been driving past this place for over 20 years without knowing what a great place it is! Nobody will cook a burger rare enough for me these days and they did it to perfection. It was the mushroom and swiss burger, served with a generous serving of fries. I added avocado, but it was soooo good already it didn't need anything added. It's a big place and it was empty when I walked in, and the 2 workers immediately stopped what they were doing to help me. They were very nice, too. Will definitely return.
(5)Chris C.
I came here on President's Day. Since It's my first time, I decided to get their signature, MONSOON BURGER for $11 Monsoon v. Red Robin. Only equivalent gourmet burger joint in FF. - Self-serve. If I'm gonna pay over $10 for a burger, kiss my butt a bit. LOL. - 8oz cheeseburger topped with mushrooms, bacon and guacamole. - Clogged artery. check. Twitching eyeball. check. - Juicy burger. Typical gourmet flavor. Nice grill though. Rotates. Improved taste? EH..sure! The new rave of hamburgers now are fusion burgers imo. - Don't forget to shake that cajun and seasoning salt on them fries! -Unique: Self-serve toppings. You can get AYCE lettuce, tomatoes, jalepenos, olives, and such... I saw seracha sauce! Hot diggity dog! DEY got dem hot dogs! - Clean. Spacious. Nice bathrooms. - Since Red Robin has bottomless fries and lemonades, RedRoyalty rewards, bunch of TVs, and everything, I honestly think RR is better. But it's hard to compete with big business so I'd rather go to Monsoon every now and then to support mom and pop and enjoy the novelty. :D
(3)Ashley J.
Alright .... Burger was okay. And just OK. But man, the customer service was a JOKE!!! The man flipping burgers was so rude, even walked by the trash and threw a soda cup that happened to miss the can and tumble onto the floor. He kept walking and left it there so he could go into the back area. The chick at the register was leaning the whole time mean while texting at work...seriously?! We had to go. Will we be back? Hell no.
(2)Aj D.
Late lunch, driving thru fairfield, we happened across this place. This mix of food products is definately worthy of being called a hamburger. The garlic fries have a lot of fresh garlic. If ever i drive through this will be my stop.
(4)Christina P.
Good food but a bit pricey. 2 burgers, 2 shakes & one garlic fry. About $30. I got the cheese burger with bacon & avocado yummy!! :D garlic fries were awesome :)
(4)Eric L.
Love this place. Bunch of us work at Travis and dont mind the drive to get here. Ive eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Price is a little high but food is great. Funny conversation one of the guys made today as we decided to come to Monsoons or not... Guy #1 "Lets go to Monsoons for lunch" Guy #2 "Dude, Im broke...I dont have the money for Monsoons" Guy #1 "Screw that...you take a bank loan to eat at Monsoons"
(5)Ashley L.
This place is off the hook!!!! Literally every place I go, NO ONE cooks my burger right, and this place gets it right every time! It's nice to know you can order your burger medium and it is guaranteed that it will be cooked medium. They use only the freshest produce and their burgers are well seasoned and juicy. I also ordered the whipped potato salad instead of fries...it's homemade and delicious! Customer service was great as well and very friendly.
(5)Sara R.
Mmmm LOVE MONSOON BURGER! We have been coming to Monsoon Burger since the day they opened and will be going till the day we die. It is so good! The burgers are always juicy and flavorful. Good portions. We usually get the 6oz because they are still big. Once in a while we splurge and get the 8oz burgers. The bacon is always cooked perfectly nice and crispy. I love mushrooms and those are cooked perfectly as well. They offer different kinds if cheese. You get your burger plain or with whatever toppings like bacon, mushrooms or guac and then you add your other toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mustard, and ketchup, ect. I think one of the best things about the burger is the bun. It is buttered and grilled very nice. It's soft but has a light crunch. Very very good. They also have chicken burgers, turkey burgers, hot dogs, salads, veggie patty burgers, fish and chips/fish sandwich, ect. I have never had any of these but when I see them they also all look very good. The burgers come with regular fries or carrot sticks or you can upgrade to curly fries, garlic fries, onion rings or potato salad. They also have fried zucchini sticks you can order. I have had the curly fries and they are very good. They also have kids meals. You can choose between chicken nuggets, corn dog, grilled cheese or cheeseburger. Try come with fries and a drink. They have various sodas, beer and milkshakes. The milkshakes are thick and tasty and they use dryers ice cream. The service is good. The owner usually is working the grill and he is very friendly. He remembers most people and always asks how we have been ect. They are quick and effective. The place is always clean and neat. The prices are average. About $7.50 for burger and fries. We don't go as often as we did because we moved to Dixon and I lost my job so we can't afford to go out much. But give it a try. It's worth it. One if the best burger places in the area!
(5)Scott B.
Super outstanding simple no frills burger joint. They supply the burger, you add everything you want at the fixin's bar. Definitely a hidden locals gem!
(5)Amanda Y.
I know people love the burgers here but I got a salad and it was pretty good too! Ill be back.
(4)Tiffany P.
Service was slow. Lots to choose from burgers to desserts. The food didn't wow me like three brothers in suisun city, but it sure beat making my own lunch. Burger seemed dry, the fries were good. The restaurant was roomie and clean.
(3)Christine D.
Love, love, love the burgers here. They're always cooked to order and made just the way I like them. This is a popular place with the local government workers (myself included) and with jurors from the courthouse up the street, so it can get very busy at lunch with a long wait. But the burgers are worth it! (Plus, if you call ahead with your order, it cuts down on the wait time...)
(5)Stacy G.
3 1/2 stars. Here's what I liked about Monsoon Burger, where I got a 6" Bacon Cheeseburger with a side of baby carrots the other night: -That you can customize your burger with whatever toppings you like at the topping bar. Two kinds of lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, onion, basic condiments, and a few other things that didn't seem like they would go on a burger and might have been for the other menu items. -LOVE that you can sub baby carrots for fries. This is a fantastic option. -Milkshakes looked good, made with Dreyers ice cream. I would improve: -Ambiance ain't much, unless you're into watching The Game. - Patties were a little too salty. -I don't know why it's so hard to order a side salad at a burger place. There are main dish salads, so it seems like it would be easy enough just to offer a small side salad using the same ingredients on a smaller scale. I would add that to the menu. - I would add BBQ sauce to the condiments section for sure. A bacon burger needs BBQ sauce!

The best burgers in Solano County. From the moment you walk in, the employees are very welcoming, likable, and kind. Monsoon Burgers provides a clean, well-kept environment for you to enjoy your meal. Monsoon Burgers has a variety of burgers, from fish, to poultry such as chicken or turkey, and traditional 6 or 8 ounce beef. If you're not feeling a burger, they also serve chicken strips, fish and chips, and salads. All of the burgers are served bare(bun, patty,) with fries. Fries are upgradable to Garlic Fries, Curly Fries, Onion Rings, or Potato Salad for $1.45 extra. You're allowed to add however much produce or condiments you desire to your burger. The kitchen also carries Ranch, Barbecue sauce, and Tartar sauce for you to enjoy your meal. Recommendations: Monsoon Burger Their signature burger is an 8oz patty with cheese, stacked with sautéed mushrooms, home-made guacamole, and three strips of bacon. Garlic Fries Regular fries seasoned with salt, Parmesan, and fresh garlic, topped off with parsley. These fries are the perfect side to anything you order on the menu. Overall, I'm excited to come back to Monsoon for another meal, and I'm looking forward to trying everything on the menu. I would definitely come back within the same week.
(5)Mary M.
Decent enough burger. Big fries that were too soggy to make the grade and too limited a beer selection to find one to enjoy with my burger. I had done a burger and beer search on Yelp and saw all the stars for this one. Guess I'm more of burger and bar kind of girl.
(3)Vanessa P.
I love this place! I don't like any condiments on my burgers so I do like that fact that I can order a burger and not have to customize it and have people look at me like I'm crazy! Burgers and fries are decently priced, well seasoned and you even get to build your burger the way you want it at the topping bar! They offer different types of lettuce, sliced tomatoes, jalapenos, olives, almost anything you could want on a burger!
(5)Tony L.
I went here looking for a great place to have a quick bite. We found it easily and loved the small parking lot which filled up right after parking! Waited in line 5mins to order, requested the chicken breast burger ($7.15) while my companion in crime ordered a 6oz cheeseburger ($6.75). A separate counter next to the soft drink station offers all you need for your burgers: lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, you get the idea. What a great move and you add what YOU want and no mushy buns! Talk of the buns: it is toasted! When called, I got my round tray and my chicken is NOT a preformed patty but an actual chicken breast that was juicy and with a great taste! Yes, as others have described the included free fries are non-descript and worth passing. Enjoyed the very spacious roomy dining area with separate men/women restrooms. After we ordered and sat at a table, the line to order grew to almost 15 people! I'll be back to taste the garlic fries!
(4)Susan K.
Juicy delicious burgers. Holy moly. Sooo good. Onion rings are super battery and delicious.
(5)Nic L.
Brought the extended family here yesterday after taking the kids to the pumpkin patch. Everyone enjoyed their meals and left stuffed; only a couple little knocks on our visit. First, the onion rings we ordered as an appetizer weren't given as an appetizer, we actually got them with our meal about 20-30 minutes later. Second, my burger, which was ordered "well", was actually served "med.-rare" and pretty pink inside. Went ahead and ate it that way, because we already waited about 30 mins. for food and were hungry. Which leads me to third, time. We arrived around 1:15 on a Saturday afternoon, fairly busy, but not crazy. It shouldn't have taken so long to get our meal. Fortunately we were having a great time catching up and it didn't bother anyone very much. Food was awesome (as always)!! Our ticket included burgers, fries, garlic fries, onion rings, garden burgers, chicken strips, and fish & chips. Everything looked and tasted great. Food was fresh. Definitely will continue eating here!!
(4)Richard W.
Great burgers and fries!!! must try!
(5)Steve P.
Needs improvement: I guess the owner wasn't there today. The cashier assured me they melt their Swiss cheese. My burger arrived without melted cheese. You could peel it off in one piece and it still held its form. The bacon was so overcooked I almost cracked a tooth. I had to ask for new bacon, but never mentioned the cheese. The bun completely fell apart after two bites and came borderline burnt. The good: The burger was cooked a nice medium-rare. There were a lot of fries, most of them less than an inch long. The condiment bar was well stocked. The location is clean and the ambiance is okay. At $9 for a bacon cheeseburger and fries I think I'd rather go to RR for a more consistent meal and bottomless steak fries.

Today was my third visit here, my second in the last year. I came here with family when they first opened years ago. The owner of this place also owns Mandarin next door and both Avalanche Fro-Yo shops in town. I grew up being regulars with my family at Mandarin and remember the owner as a younger man serving tables before eventually taking the reigns and expanding. He was actually the one who took my order today too and was working just as hard as his employees (which was quite a bit!) the whole time I was there. I always think that's a good sign. On to the experience though! Walked in at 11:30ish with a hungry 4 year old. No wait to place my order, but a pretty full house. Mostly military people, maybe they offer a discount. I wanted to ask, but they got busy! I ordered a 6 oz California Burger ($8.59), cooked medium and upgraded to garlic fries ($1.45). My daughter opted for the old standby of a bacon cheeseburger ($3.85 for the cheeseburger, $1.35 for 2 strips of bacon). Food took 15 minutes to come out with 3 or 4 orders called before ours. They have such a great selection of toppings I've ended up with a tower of stuff each time without meaning to. They have romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce, red onion, sauteed (?) onion, pickles, relish, jalapenos and more! They also have pumps of ketchup, mustard and mayo to top your burger or fries. My burger was slightly overcooked, but still pretty juicy. Unfortunately, the meat wasn't very flavorful but the soft bun helped hold everything together nicely. All the produce I piled on tasted nice and fresh too. They have a shakey bottle of their house seasoning that I'll try adding on next time I'm in. The flavor of the meat was getting lost in the produce to the point I was actually checking to see if I was getting bites of burger patty at all. Okay, maybe my fault for putting the whole topping bar on my burger...but still. I wanna taste the burger too! The last time I was in and got the garlic fries they were awesome, but I was kinda disappointed this time. The garlic was dumped only on the middle of the spread of fries and kept falling off each time I picked a fry up. This wasn't the case last time. The burger had me so stuffed that I couldn't put much of a dent in the fries anyways this time or last. Overall, this isn't my numero uno burger joint in town. Dave's down the street has that honorable distinction in my book. However, Monsoon Burgers has an awesome selection of different burgers, hot dogs and all the toppings you could want. Great for lunch if you come at the right time. We'll definitely be back!
(4)Jason Y.
Hands down the absolute best burger restaurant in Fairfield. I have eaten here more times than I can remember. The staff are now friends and the customer service is always excellent!
(5)Robert S.
I ate the Monsoon burger which was so good, very cheesy and very juicy meat. A little bit too greasy but I would still recommend eating it and here. You can put as much toppings and dressing as you like! The place is clean. I would say burgers could be a dollar or more less expensive but it's a recommend burger spot in the area.
(4)Kori M.
Very good burgers. Lots of different ways to get it. A bit on the pricey side.
(4)J M.
Monsoon has become our go-to, comfy, solidly good place to eat. I usually order a chicken breast burger with garlic fries. it is always cooked perfectly, the fries are plentiful and SO delish. The hubby always gets the artery-clogger burger, and has been satisfied and happy, with the exception of when one particular snarky, older woman is doing the cooking. If you are a regular, you know who I am talking about! Ms. Bad Attitude, Ms. Argue with the customers. When the owner is cooking, it is wonderful. But when Ms. Thing is on the grill, she is like the Burger Nazi. Sometimes when we drive up and see she is working, we just go over to Evelyns instead. Anyway........the food IS good, and the owner is a very nice and friendly guy. its a great atmosphere when HE is on the grill. Condiment bar is always stocked nicely, you can see your food being cooked, it is clean, and I do recommend this place!
(4)Mary N.
This place never disappoints. Nice juicy burger with crispy fries. It can get pretty busy at lunch time so come early. They will also allow you to call in an order in advance.
(5)Bri K.
FOOD POISONING! I was excited to try this place out and had heard pretty good things about it. I was disturbed when I saw the chief touching the raw burger meat and then proceeding to touch the buns without washing her hands first. Trying to be polite I decided not to say anything. What a mistake!!! At about midnight that night I woke up in a cold sweat and vomited up the entire burger. I know for a fact it was due to the raw meat contamination...truly disgusting!!! The burger tasted alright but not worth getting sick over!
(1)Carly L.
This place is Great don't change a thing I love the Mushroom Burger an the Fried Squash is to Die For yum yum good Don't change a thing y'all perfect.( AMEN )
(5)Nicole N.
I love this place, they probably have the best burgers in the area. Everything is always fresh and the place is clean. Even when busy, your food doesn't take long... it's a fast food joint but doesn't seem like it because it's so clean unlike the chain restaurants we all know of. The location is downtown right near the high school and court house so we always take our food to go and eat at the fountains in front of the courthouse, as long as I live in the area... this place will be a staple.
(5)Emily E.
Accidentally messed up my order (they're human, too) and apologized about a million times and gave me two sides for free. Great customer service! Plus, my burger was perfectly cooked and delicious. The people here are friendly and I love the location.
(5)Briana B.
I've lived in Fairfield all my life and never tried Monsoon Burger until about a week ago. My husband & I ordered take-out and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. I ordered the 6oz cheeseburger with Harvati and got potato salad instead of fries. My burger was excellent & the potato salad was tasty! This will definitely be our go-to spot if we are craving a burger. My only complaint is that they don't stay open too late, but I guess that's what In-N-Out is for.
(4)Giemar F.
Fresh, Fresh, And Great tasting! When I am in this area, this is my #1 stop if I want a burger. Not only is everything freshly cooked and made when you order it but it taste amazing. The self serve topping bar is my favorite because you can basically put however much tomatoes, onions, mayo, all the accoutrements are there to make your perfect burger. They have a great menu selection with a plethora of burger style choices. My favorite is the California burger. I also have to say that their shakes are amazingly flavorful, I believe it's because they use top of the line ice cream. The chocolate shake, my favorite actually taste like chocolate, unlike other places which I find they taste like mostly taste like milk. As far as the food, you can't go wrong with this little burger palace. Dislikes: The time it takes to get your food can be lengthy, especially if they are busy, (but they have friendly customer service when I have been there). The decor is a little plain and so the atmosphere is lacking. I also notice that the burges fall apart (they still taste great), but maybe that's just me, I have tiny hands (lol) and I have trouble holding my fully stacked (bacon, advocado, lettuce, tomatoes, etc) burger. Hope you will also enjoy Monsoon Burger.Happy Eating!
(4)brad H.
I've been to Monsoon many times over the years, mostly because others want to go. I am not a huge fan... I've never had a bad experience but the food is just lackluster for me. The burgers are bland and the garlic fries are even more bland. The garlic fries will add some burn to your mouth but no flavor. Overall... meh... everyone else seems to love this place but I sure wouldn't make it my go-to burger joint.
(3)Nichelle A.
I feel like an obese Gorilla when I eat here!!! This place is crazy good. The burgers are delish the fries are awesome and the shakes are satisfying. I have to force myself not to eat it all in one shot. I have to half the burger and fries so I don't go over board. condiments are buffet style, so you can help yourself as needed. For the most part its clean in the seating area and the back space where the food is prepared is decent as well. It will add up, especially for a family of four like mine, as everything is a la carte.
(3)Lea M.
Their Monsoon Burger is HELLA huge & hella good! I couldn't even put it all in my mouth (that's what she said).
(4)Lilly L.
Ive been to Monsoon Burger on 3 different occasions. Mostly because my boyfriend absolutely loves it. I like the fact that its a cooked to order joint but the order they cooked was really just OK for me. Nothing special aside from the fact that i can add whatever toppings i want. The fries were boring and unseasoned. I'm not fond of the location nor the look of the inside. Looks alittle outdated. I don't recommend anybody go out of their way to come and eat here but if your in town and want a cook to order burger then go right ahead. Roughly related to Fudruckers in which I HIGHLY recommend eating at.
(3)J. Denise M.
This is the best burger for miles. I love how they are cooked to order (I hate a dry burger) the toppings are plentiful and the service is exceptional.
(5)Dave F.
Well I tried Monsoon Burgers. I have been a die hard Dave's Hamburger dude. I should be shot for straying. Although the premise is a 5 guys like deal where you order and then put what toppings you want from there garnish bar. Fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles, relish, olives, onions red or white, jalapenos, mayo, mustard, ketchup The burger was pretty flavorless to me. Not sure what is up with the meat but it wasn't very tasty. I got pastrami burger and the pastrami wasn't very good. Perhaps I am used to Togo's pastrami, so that is what I am comparing it too. Pretty pricy food for what you get. Garlic fries smell good. My daughter liked them. Her burger? She took maybe 3 bites. She devours In/out so i was surprised she didn't eat more. I ended up eating only a little more then she did. 4 burgers that came with fries, paid extra for garlic fries, like 1.99 extra. Regular fries were included in price of burger. All said and done, food for four cost 35 bucks. Disappointed in you yelpers its not often you fail me but I am sorry to say this is one of the times. Sorry I really wanted to like this place, but sadly it doesn't cut it.
(2)Marilyn Y.
Food was fresh and delicious. Great portion sizes for your $. I will be coming back to this restaurant. Very satisfied customer.
(4)Chris R.
Found on Yelp. Order at the register, burger comes undressed and you assemble the way you want it from the condiment bar. Fantastic!
(4)A D.
This was a tasty burger! We visited here about 3 years ago but we were comparing notes this morning over our first try at In & Out Burger and recalled Monsoon's as our favorite burger thus far. Owner is super friendly.

I know, I know...with a place called, Monsoon Burger who would have the audacity to order a Garden burger, right? *points at self* Well..let me explain...it's super hot... and after stuffing one self with sushi rolls only hours before...all you really want to do is drink water. =P Nevertheless, I forced myself to get something a little "lighter" and also picked up a grilled cheese sandwich (which comes with 3 types of cheeses). OMG... three slices of cheese is TOO TOO much for grilled cheese... X_x death marks. The Garden burger was pretty good... so much so I decided I could do w/o meat for awhile. ; ) The funny thing about this place is that almost EVERY plate comes with a big side of fries. O_O... Yowaz. I watched my friends scarf those down and some giant onion rings... how in the world...nm. =P Toppings are all fresh and laid out at the topping bar. =) I had a bite of a friend's burger (sorry, can't remember which)...and it was okay.. nothing bad, but nothing spectacular aside from looking really monstrously big!
(3)Jimmy B.
Food was not all I had hoped for. The fries were dry like they were old and the burger had no flavor. Its a really really cool place and they have awesome service so I hope they get their food worked out!
(2)Leila D.
Fresh, tasty & good! Garlic fries were bomb! Milkshake was heaven.... Excellent burger... But I think there could be a couple more tables added.
(4)Dude A.
Monsoon Burger is great. The place is somewhat bare bones as you walk in, but looking into the open kitchen the rotating grill stands out. You will also note the condiment bar between where you get your food and the soda machine, and the taps. Sandwiches are served in a pie tin sort of plate with fries adjacent, you get your own condiments and seat yourself. The burgers are well seasoned and cooked, the chicken sandwiches are as well, the hot dogs are tasty and meaty. How else to describe a tubesteak I am uncertain. The fries are well cooked, I still need to try the garlic fries. The soda glasses are big enough you do not need to constantly refill your cup, the beers are a great way to wash down a burger. There are plenty of tables which frequently end up joined together for groups. There are a few places to sit outside on the NE side of the building as well.

I'm from New Orleans and food is our life and cultural blend Monsoon burger is one of the most amazing burgers I've ever had
(4)Chris N.
I was very pleased to stumble upon this location while passing through town. Large menu, friendly owners, clean and quick. All around, a solid burger-going experience. I got a gardenburger with cheese and avocado. Came out to around $8, which is bordering on a bit much, but it came with fries that were solid. It was done well, and they had a bar of fresh topings that looked much cleaner and safer to eat than any salsa bar I've ever come across. I'd love to go back and try out some of the many other options. A great place for lunch!
(4)Amber B.
Excellent! Every single time we go, our burgers are cooked to perfection. Much more expensive places can't do that. The atmosphere is simple, but always friendly. Great value!
(5)Phan H.
If you're hankering for a burger, you need to come to this place especially if you have a large appetite. The service is a little slow, but it's to make sure that your food is prepared and cooked properly. I mean I did order the 1 pound burger (with bacon and avacados), side of fries, and the large drink that would be able to feed a small family of 5. The food is good, they have a self serve toppings bar and the owner is really nice.
(4)Marcus A.
Legit burger place in a small town. If your ever out here in fairfield, ca and coming from jelly belly factory. This is a good burger joint to stop by at. Pastrami and mushroom burger a must try and the burgers here are juicy. Oh! Good size portions too!
(4)Daniel Y.
The signature Monsoon Burger is a tall, humongous 1/2 pounder topped with mushrooms, your choice of cheese, and guac. It also comes with a side of fries or for a bit more, onion rings or garlic fries. The burger was cooked a tad over my order, but it was still juicy. Not the best beef you could get, but good nonetheless. The onion rings, sad to say, came out of a frozen box. I wish they made theirs fresh, but they were good as well, in a mass produced, quality assured sort of way. Condiments and toppings are at a side bar where you can choose what you like.
(3)Cassy H.
My coworker wanted to meet up for lunch and suggested Monsoon Burger. At first, I was thinking.. eh, I've had better, but whatever, I'll go and see what happens. This time, I ordered the fish burger, which I normally don't order. Anyway, I loved how the sesame buns with grilled a bit so the edges were toasted and crunchy. The burger came with 2 pieces of fried fish patties (I think that's what you call them), cheese of your choice -- mine was American, and tartar sauce on the side. I spread the sauce all over the burger and yum. It was surprisingly delicious. Everything went well together and I finished my burger, which I normally don't (b/c I think the portion is pretty big). Anyway, thanks to my coworker, I think this place is now a 3.5, almost solid 4, but I decided to round up and give it a 4. :o)
(4)Monica V.
So expensive! I think they're about $10 and up per burger not including fries or drinks. And I guess there's a reason for it. They grill them up fresh right in from of you and have tons of awesome "gourmet" add-ons (who doesn't love bacon and bleu cheese?!) plus there's a free salad and condiments bar! Their milkshake menu is always changing but the cookies and creams are just to die for. And if you have to get fries, get the seasoned curly fries. You will definitely thank me. The portions are really hearty so definitely stop by if you've got an appetite otherwise you'll be paying quite a lot for a big, greasy, guilty burger. And if you happen to be craving a light dessert, stop by Avalanche next door which is actually under the same owners as Monsoon. You can never go wrong with a little tart yogurt and some fruits, yum!
(3)Vanessa K.
The burger is GREAT! And it's fairfield! Who would have ever know! A great menu with plenty of options. Burgers are made to order, to the temperature that you like - I prefer med rare. Then you assemble your own veggies! There's a whole bar with various greens (lettuce [chopped or pieces] or romaine), tomatoes, onions, pickles, pickled onions and jalopenos. I like to load mine with lettuce and tomatoes. The burger came out uber juicy and flavorful. Bun was toasted well, and while the burger was juicy it didn't leak through my bun, which is something I don't like. Garlic fries were garlicky without being overpowering and had sprinkled some kind of cheese. Curly fries were nice too. Good flavors. Def repeat! If you're in fairfield and hungry, come here!
(5)Lalo L.
Pretty Good. Burger was cooked perfectly on their "monsoon" grill (neat grill that rotates around fire). Produce and condiments were set out on a cart. Novel idea, but some of it was soggy. The bun was grilled a bit and was given this great crunch. Was probably the highlight of the burger. Decently good fries. Second best burger you can find in Fairfield.
(3)VIctor M.
Amazing. It warants a short review. Just go here! Burgers are cooked great and plenty of variety. If its the dude behind the grill everything comes out amazing and decent enough if its the lady. Get the garlic fries. Enough said. Call ahead on busy days like fri and sat. Pros -Amazing burgers with a lot of variety (even chicken sandwiches) -Garlic Fries are the bomb -Good prices -Fills you up. No shortage of patty or fries. -Good service Cons -They dont deliver
(5)Ron J.
First off, even though I'm legitimately not, I'd like to call myself a burger enthusiast. Being based on Travis AFB, you're bound to hear the hype on this place amongst fellow airman. "It's a lot better than In-n-Out!" "Best burger ever!" Being from Cali, I'm a bit biased if you talk down on Cali's burger sanctuary. After months of ranging my taste bud scale of burgers, I finally decide to try this place out on a spontaneous burger craving. The menu has the standard mom and pop burger selection, including poultry and fries. You can satisfy your individual hunger by choosing from a 6 or 8 oz patty. The cashier tells me that the patties are "on the bloodier side" so I up my cooking time to medium rather then medium rare. Seeing previous reviews on how the garlic fries are a must, I order 'em. The fries comes with mounds of garlic, yet it doesn't bitter the taste. I guess its alright, you get what you ordered. Garlic fries. Not amazing, not bad. As a first time customer, I order their signature burger, the Monsoon Burger. The patty was complimented with mushrooms, bacon, and their guacamole spread. You can include lettuce and other condiments at the salad bar. Having an 8oz patty, I had to cut the burger in half just to comfortably pick it up without worrying about dropping anything. With the first bite, I was quite shocked on how bland it DIDN'T taste. The patty, mushrooms, and bacon are decent, but what really caught me was the zestiness of the guacamole. Good thing they add a heaping serving of it because it actually distinguishes the burger from being average. Long story short, this place is better than any fast food joint and may be the best burger in town, BUT that's not saying much. We are talking about Fairfield by the way.. If you're in town and craving a burger, without a doubt come. Either way, its not a place to drive out the way for.
(4)Andrew A.
Overall (8.5/10) Food (8/10) Portions (10/10) Atmosphere (7/10) These burgers are pretty awesome. I have been looking for good burgers, and this hit the spot. I urge all people going to red robin at the mall to travel down the road and hit up this place. The burgers are on a rotation grill which is cool. Burgers taste great, and come with A LOT of fries. As far as burgers go, you came to the right place. Chicken sandwiches have yet to be eaten, but I will get there soon! Would I come back? YESSIR
(4)May L.
The way they toast their buns with butter and make it so golden and crispy makes you feel like they did it especially for you. I feel the love! You won't find a juicier, yummier burger. EAT HERE.
(5)Alecia S.
Looking for a good fresh burger? This is your place in Fairfield! A lil pricey but worth the extra few dollars!! Only down fall is its a la carte so it does add up for a familia of 4 like us! None the less we come here a couple times a year...
(4)Frank L.
Food comes fast here, and is sooo delicious. I love the self service condiment bar, the beer is ice cold, and there is always a game being played on the flat screen. This is geared towards the male crowd, but my wife still loves coming here because the burgers are so good.
(5)Colleen J.
Yummy, hamburgers. Pricey, not the place to go if you are on a budget. I love the California Turkey Burger, bacon and avocado. Their potato salad is really good too.
(4)James T.
Cant say anything horrible about this place, but it never blew me away as amazing. The menu is pretty basic and every burger is customizable. The 8oz burger doesnt call for that much of a premium over the 6oz size so i'd go ahead and recommend getting that to get the most bang for your buck. The burgers are cooked on a novel grill that rotates over an open flame. I cant say whether or not it helped the taste, but it definitely didnt make it worse. Burgers are served open faced and theres a "topping bar" to put in your lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, jalapenos, and condiments. The one bad thing about this was that a lot of burgers i was seeing were falling apart because they werent stacked correctly or simply had too much stuff in them. The fries were definitely nothing special and definitely left me seeking more flavor. Parking is okay, prices are average, the place is clean, and there's a TV.
(3)Cecily G.
Best burgers in town, cooked to order and condiment bar is always well stocked and you can choose what to put on your burger. Garlic fries are so good. The people are always friendly and keep the place clean.
(5)Abe I.
This place is legit. If I could give it 4.5 stars I would. The mushroom Swiss burger was off the hook. So fresh & tasty. And to be able to customize it after it comes fresh off the grill - awesome! I know that it may not seem ingenious, but at the same time I can't think of another burger place that offers this feature so kudos for the originality. Highly recommend it. I grew up going to Armijo and never once ate here. Shame on me for taking a decade to discover this hidden gem in Fairfield.
(4)Rhea S.
The mushroom & Swiss burger with a side of garlic fries was absofreakin' delicious! The burger was juicy and a great size (6oz), the mushrooms were well-seasonsed, and the garlic fries were potent! The burger was awesome The fries were awesome The service ... not so awesome They could use a little more customer service training. It's nice to have a cashier taking your order that's informative and not difficult to follow. Hence, the 4 star rating.
(4)David O.
Oooooh... SNAP! Beat me with a greasy spatula!!!! My wife and I discovered Monsoon Burger last Friday and this place is seriously off the fucking hook! I ordered the Monsoon Burger, medium rare, with extra grilled onions. The burger comes with fries but I chose to upgrade to garlic fries for a buck more or something like that... Holy Fuck!!! That was an awesome fucking meal! The burger was tasty, as were the fries! My wife even said that, aside from the quality of the meat which is better at the Counter (Walnut Creek), the burger with the condiments and sides, taken as a whole, is far better than that Counter joint has ever been! Monsoon Burger FTW!!!
(5)John C.
First time at Monsoon Burger from what I can remember. Had the 8oz Monsoon Burger on a wheat bun and onion rings. Food is amazing and next time I plan on having a Chicken Sandwich with some garlic fries. Dave's Hamburgers, Nation's, and now Monsoon Burgers are my top burger joints in Fairfield.
(5)Tony R.
LOL! at the lady that gave Monsoon's 1 star... she's just butt hurt she couldn't have it her way! Tons of stuff on the menu and she based her review on 2 bad experiences based on her expectations... What can I say about Monsoon Burgers? It's a home town favorite if you're not in the mood for In-N-Out or Mc Donalds. The portions are big. The burgers are juicy. You dress your burger up your way and the price is fair. I got mad love for their Turkey burgers too! I got too much lrespect for this place. Always a great burger experience!
(4)Marie G.
The owner of this place really takes pride in his restaurant. He keeps the place very clean, makes the best burgers and keeps the condiment bar well stocked. Steve F (5/13) is right, the owner owns a black porsche. I do agree it's better when he's there, who can blame him, it's his business so he really does things right! We've been eating for quite a few years now and we love it! They also make milkshakes with real Dreyers ice cream! I usually get a chicken sandwich grilled with jack cheese and mushrooms with fries, the boys and hubby get the burgers. The burgers are always cooked to perfection and love that we can get our own veggies, pickles, olives, onions, condiments. On a side note, he owns the yogurt shop, Avalanche, next door too.
(4)Adam V.
Decent parking, clean exterior, spacious and clean interior, slightly more expensive than I assumed (just slightly, and it's my fault for assuming), relatively long wait, wonderful burger, mediocre fries. For the amount of fat they sling over the counters you'd think the bar along the windows would have wider stools. It wasn't comfortable at first, but I had had a good while to learn to ignore it by the time my food came. The young lady that took my order was happy. I normally wouldn't mention this, but she was very happy. TOO happy. Creepy happy. I kept thinking there was something wrong. I was scared at how happy this girl was. But the important thing is this: the burger was good. Not amazing, especially for the price, but the quality of the patty and the customization options made it good, bordering on great. I will definitely spend my money there again.
(4)Elizabeth B.
Wow, this place is fantastic. The taste is really there and the place was clean. Nice staff, too. I got the turkey burger while Hubby got the NOLA burger. Both were tasty and worth the price. Please try Monsoon Burger out if you're on the fence. Amazing.
(5)D W.
kind of like a higher end fuddruckers. you choose your burger then get to put your own toppings (i.e. tomatoes, etc). they do have pretty decent quality meat and also offer fancy milkshakes with one of those old school machines. there also is a self serve yogurt shop just next door for dessert.
(3)Clarissa L.
Love the burgers at Monsoon. I usually get a 6 oz. Cheeseburger. Even cooked medium well, the burger comes out juicy and satisfying. Hooray for toasted buns! Adding an avocado is good too, you get plenty of avocado for the extra charge. This is mostly a "Help Yourself" type of place so don't expect sit down service. You order at the counter and they call your number when the burger is ready. Then you can add whatever toppings (lettuce, onion, tomatoes, pickles, etc.) and condiments you want and chow down. All burgers come with fries. I usually upgrade my fries to either potato salad or curly fries, but the standard fries are good too.
(4)Jonathan R.
Against popular opinion, I was seriously under-impressed with Monsoon Burger. I ordered the titular burger. That's an 8 oz burger with your choice of cheese (Pepper Jack for me), mushrooms, bacon and their homemade guacamole. The burger was a pretty good size, was cooked how I wanted (rare), and was plenty juicy. The burger wasn't seasoned very well however. I appreciate that they make their own guacamole but just like the burger, lacked seasoning. The bacon and mushrooms had some good flavor though. Also, adding carrot sticks as a side option is a great idea. The fries were obviously cooked from frozen. I ordered the fried zucchini as well. Plentiful, but again, lacking in flavor. They were cooked close to death, making them hard as hockey pucks. One of the cooks came out to the dining room and started talking extremely loud to another patron. A buddy of his I'm sure, but it was distracting. Not everything about this place was bad. As I mentioned before, having the carrot sticks as a possible side option is awesome. They have a bar that was filled with fresh burger toppings. The burger was also cooked the way I wanted it. Sadly these things just aren't enough to make me want to come back here again.
(2)Victoria S.
Yummy Dreyer shakes. My first visit here since moving to Fairfield and they delivered the cheese burger to order and fries( curly, garlic, regular ). Rarely do I receive excellent customer service which includes respectful responses like Ma'am!
(5)Ladyreyes R.
Great spot! The bacon mushroom burger was one of best I've had in a long time ! Self serve toppings, tasty, delish to the last bite ! Get there!
(5)Leilani A.
Don't let the sad exterior and neighbors fool you- the interior is clean, modern and nice. The menu has a lot to choose from. The California burger with avocado and bacon was excellent. The fresh condiment bar is a nice touch.
(4)Mike D.
There is a huge monsoon rain storm of flavor in the burgers at this fine establishment. It must be the reason behind their name. I ordered a 6 ounce cheeseburger with Swiss cheese, fries with a drink. The burger was juicy and truly delicious. They flame broil the hamburgers on a circular grill that rotates around in a circle. They cook them to your preference and they are served on a toasted bun. Once they call your number, there's a super condiment bar with your choice of iceberg or romaine lettuce, tomatoes, red or white onions, pickles and even black olives to name a few different options. Plus, they have a good teriyaki sauce that I tried and really liked. They also have barbecue sauce or the traditional ketchup and mustard choices. They give you a huge amount of fries and a very large soda cup as well. Everything was very satisfying and very filling. They have an 8 ounce burger option too, but the 6 ounce is more than enough. The cost for my meal was $10 which is a little pricey for lunch. The value and quality for your money is there though.
(5)John D.
One of thee absolute best burgers I've ever had...staff could use some training, service was slow. I'd recommend it on the food alone.
(5)John F.
This rating is based in the last four visits in a span of a year. This place is so amazing. The burgers are QUALITY and the price is fair. My personal favorite is also the garlic fries. I haven't been here for a while but I do plan on going back in the near future no really got nothing bad to say about this place. One thing I will highlight is the fish tank nits just great to see one.
(5)marie B.
Fresh! Cooked to perfection! Clean! Fast and friendly! We had never been there and it was great. They had the Giants baseball game on the TV, a big condiment bar with fresh goodies, and everything was delicious!
(5)AdrianAndPatty O.
Excited to find a FANTASTIC Burger joint after moving up here from SoCal!!! My bf, the burger lover, even complemented the chef on how well prepared our burgers were! It's the spot we have to take our guests from back home to!
(5)N G.
I am trying my best to understand this new fast food type structure with a price point of a sit down restaurant. The service was quite fine and the store was clean. The rest was not so great.
(1)Eric A.
Who doesn't like a good burger? You doesn't like I a good burger? Doesn't you vegeterian? Vegan? Doesn't you not a live a real life? All joking aside, I lovvvvve burgers. I forget if I've mentioned it in a previous review, but they are they perfect food. Meat, veggies, comdiments, all in a portable bun. Should your jaw be up to task, double or triple patties are even in the realm of possibility. That being said, I like to try burger joints when I can. Moonsoon is over in nearby Fairfield, so I decided to give em a go. Off the bat, they've got an impressive number of burger options to choose from. They've also got hot dogs, salads, and other items (shakes and malts!) Me, I just wanted to try out their burgers... okay okay, I also got a malt as well (which was pretty awesome!) Decor is plain jane as far as I can tell. Nothing out of the ordinary, but that's OK. TVs overhead playing mostly sports channels, so that's cool as well. Service here is friendly. The young lady at the register was very helpful in taking our orders, very polite. Always a plus! Food got out to us in a reasonable amount of time, without much wait or whatnot. As I mentioned above, my malt was awesome, though I can't say I've ever had a bad malt. My burger was not quite as big as I expected for a double and the price I paid. Taste was fine, no problem there. However, I have never seen a bun disintegrate so quickly. I know that eating a burger is messy fare by default, but I've not had a bun turn to goop that quickly before. Ended up eating the burger with a fork and knife. Oh, also ordered the garlic fries, and they were OK. This joint is OK overall. Great service, but the burgers could possibly use a little work.
(3)Danny H.
I had the monsoon burger it didn't have much flavor the only bonus was for the toppings bar. Also my burger was sloppy
(2)Fabi F.
If you're lucky enough to get jury duty at the Solano Courthouse you can also take advantage of the close proximity of Monsoon Burger. They have almost every kind of burger that you would want (beef, chicken, ground turkey, fish and vegetarian) and all the toppings you can possibly layer onto your sandwich from the spectacular DIY Topping Station. I love the marinated red onions. Another specialty is that they have 4 kinds of cheeses to add to your burger: American, pepper jack, Havarti and Swiss. There's also the option of just a grilled cheese. All burgers come with fries, but I recommend upgrading to the flavorful Garlic Fries. My favorite is the chicken breast burger with avocado and Havarti Cheese, which is perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. My only complaint is that the wheat bun they use with the chicken burgers is a little squishy and doughy for my taste. The restaurant is always clean with polite, quick service. There's a big screen TV to watch "the game" playing or you can watch the large fish tank instead. You might be found guilty for loving this place like I do.
(4)Val S.
One of the top 3 burgers I've ever had...hands down so good! I had Bacon cheeseburger 8 oz...was a Big Mama Jama Burger. Flame grilled burgers. Asked for medium and it was cooked perfectly. You can't go wrong with anything bacon and they give u perfectly cooked bacon. Great place if ur wanting an awesome burger. Fries so good. Great trimmings and thumbs up on BBQ sauce. Beer on draught. Turkey, fish, and hot dog options.
(5)Heather F.
AWSOME local burger joint- so glad we checked yelp while in the area...we will be back for sure...great family atmosphere and delicious food
(5)Doreen E.
This place has withstood the test of time. It's been 10 years since I've lived in Fairfield and this place was really good then and still good now. Friendly engaging employees make it even better
(4)Victor G.
it's probably a decade or more since i eat at Monsoon Burger. (pre-yelp days) just the facts: -very impressive burger, got medium rare as i wanted. -related somehow to slider's in daly city, s.f., -got helpful hints from them. -large space, casual, laid back -price reasonable -this was all before the chains and burger craze hit... -would repeat if i ever go thru fairfield again.
(4)Brian M.
A seriously good burger, plain and simple! They also have great chicken sandwiches and veggie burgers if that's your desire. The fries are great! Especially the garlic fries! They're not playin around when they throw the garlic on the fries! They always have the big screen on for a little entertainment. The place is always super clean (including the restrooms) and employees are always friendly. It can be expensive for a burger but totally worth it!
(5)Christopher C.
Not really a fan. I was honestly expecting a lot more due to the reviews of this place but I just dont see what is so great about Monsoon Burger. While they have a great variety on their menu and it got really turned off when I had to put all the toppings on myself. I HATE that!! Part of the joy of going to a burger place is getting all the juices and taste from the burger and grill in the toppings. Adding everything after the fact is just boring. To me it comes off as lazy by the restaurant not convenient and custom like they try to be. The bun was very flimsy on my bacon cheeseburger. Not much to hold on to unfortunately. This maybe why you have to add your own condiments after the fact. This bun cant handle much more than the moisture from the burger. I also go onion rings. I LOVE onion rings but I dont like breaded onion rings. A good beer battered onion ring would have saved this place for me but alas they only had breaded (and way to thick...yes I said too thick) rings and it just spoiled it all for me. I will stick with nations for my burger and fries fixes from now on. :(
(2)Noelani M.
Blue Cheese Burger and garlic fries were delish! Loved the convenience of a self serve topping bar for your burgers. Complete with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, olives, pickled onions, and various sauces. Only wish it included ranch. Reasonable prices especially on the kids meals. Would definitely go back if we happened to be in the area.
(4)Kayla T.
The two employees that are working on shift, are sitting on their cell phones, while "cooking" food, and sitting behind the counter. Very unprofessional. Not like the owner would actually do anything about it. Poor management.
(2)Emma A.
Really enjoyed this burger place. Love that you can add the lettuce, tomatoes etc. yourself.
(5)Nan r.
Wow, this place was awesome. Great tasting fresh burger. We were traveling and I really wanted a great burger. Googled and found two places that had great reviews for burgers in Fairfield. The first place we went to looked pretty run down and had no restroom so we went to Monsoons and I am so glad we did. People were friendly and they had an area to add your own fresh lettuce, tomato, onion, etc... I wish this station was covered though, the idea of flies having access grosses me out.
(5)Lori L.
Great Chicken Burgers and Frys. Milk Shakes are great too!
(5)Stacy R.
In my opinion, this is the best burger place in Fairfield. Everything we have is delicious and cooked to perfection. I always get a California burger. My kids like their burgers and hotdogs. My husband (being vegetarian) gets the grilled cheese. I love the smashed potato salad. It's different from anything else around. Great place for lunch!
(5)Patty H.
I love coming to this place every time I'm in Fairfield they make the best burgers and chicken sandwiches and their garlic fries are to die for a must to go if you're in Fairfield
(5)Ginger H.
First time here for me, not for my husband. Definitely five stars!! The only better burger that I have ever had was from my own grill. I had the California Burger. HALF of an avocado, Havarti cheese and plenty of bacon. The six ounce was more than big enough. And it came with a generous serving of fries! The condiment bar was awesome. Everything was fresh and clean. I know, I have worked in the food industry for many years. I WILL be back, no doubt about that.
(5)Lu Lu S.
Tasty delicious gourmet burgers. The Monsoon burger has bacon, cheese and their special guac and that's their special. I love love that they have a condiments bar where you can load up on tomatoes, lettuce ( 2 types: iceberg and green), onions, pickles, peppers, the usual ketchup, mayo, mustard-- whatever you like!! I ordered a California turkey burger and it had bacon cheese and avocado- it was tasty, I'd order it again. I like that they have different fries options: plain, garlic, curly, & onion rings!! Great solid burger joint!!
(4)Jackie B.
Place is clean, food is great, and lots of it and you can dress your own burger with fresh ingredients.
(5)Christine S.
Today is my first time here and Id say my experience was really great! Restaurant was really clean and I saw only two workers working that night! The other guy is busy cooking or attending the register and the other one making sure all the tables are clean plus doing the register too! Both of them were really hardworking. I ordered the Mushroom Cheeseburger and garlic fries, I must say it was too delicious! Perfectly cooked and fresh everything on the vegetable and condiments bar! I will be definitely coming back and recommending this place to everyone!
(5)Anthony W.
Really good burger. It's simple and delicious. Order your burger and then head to the "buffet" for your fixins. I really like the bacon and mushroom burger. I love the atmosphere and the decor. They went real simple and that's exactly what I want when I go into a burger joint. The employees are all nice and fast. I will be going back in the future.
(4)Teresa B.
My son chose this based on Yelp reviews and I must say. The reviewers were not lying! Some people will say you can't mess up a burger but um.... yes you can and this place doesn't! The burgers are made to order on a slanted grill, so not flat sitting in grease. You can see them and smell them cooking which adds to the mouth watering experience. Buns are toasted to a light crispy edge (just enough) and then the rest is up to you with a complete condiment bar with 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 different kinds of onions, pickles, peppers, choices go on and on. I got the basic cheeseburger with cheddar cheese and it was big and juicy. My son got the NOLA burger which was bigger, with andouille sausage...he LOVED it!!! The place is big, clean, modern and fun! Love the choices, the freshness, and the atmosphere. We will be back with the whole family. I didn't think anything could beat the Habit or 5 guys but Monsoon Burger does! Go there now!
(5)Rachel S.
Great burgers cooked your way and tons of fries. They have the best curly fries in town. They are a little pricey though, and you pay the same price whether you get fries or not.

As many have said, this place is simple and delicious, simply deliciously awesome. I ordered the NOLA burger with curly fries and the lady ordered the California burger with garlic fries. The patties were cooked perfectly as requested. The fries were also very good. Plenty of garlic chunks for the garlic fans! I love the ability to dress your own burger, so I threw on some onions, jalapenos, and siracha! After, to douse this fire in my mouth, a black and white milkshake did the job. A superb meal!

This was a Great burger at a great price! Got their recommended monsoon burger. This 8oz baby was loaded with house made guac, bacon, pepper jack and mushrooms! New tradition when we go shooting at birds landing!

They are open until 9 pm. Their website is very misleading. Went in at 8:25 for dinner and was told we could only get our food to go. Great burgers but now will have to go home and eat cold food Very unsatisfied with this display of customer service.

Decent burger, but not the best burger I've ever had. Not even close. We had to wait 30 minutes for our food to arrive and my patty was overcooked. I asked for medium and it was well. Plus they make you pay an extra 1.50 or something for garlic fries. I enjoyed the salad bar where you can dress your burger with as many veggies and pickles as you want. That was fun and probably my favorite feature. Overall - okay place, but not a burger that you crave.

A fantastic find while we were in Fairfield for a footie tournament. The service was friendly and the burgers/fries were delicious. The grill is super neat - rotating pyramid-shaped wheel. Hubby was happy they have his fave beer, Racer 5, on tap. This is a Coke establishment, but they do it right and offer Cherry Coke. :) I was tempted by many of their milkshake flavors. I was told all of the produce is sourced at local farms - cool beans! Definitely a do-over if ever in the area again.

I love monsoons!!! They always take awhile but I think it's worth it. They have good burgers and milkshakes. My favorite is mushroom cheeseburger, MMM! Definitely one of my faves of Fairfield!

Surprisingly fresh burgers and salads served by nice efficient folks. Popular with the courthouse people, I have been here when it was really crowded and was surprised at how quick the service was. Monsoon staff is really well trained. My favorite dish here is the Black & Blue Salad: hand formed burger cooked to order over romaine lettuce with bacon and blue cheese crumbles. Dressing is served on the side and you have access to the fresh-bar for items like fresh tomatoes, onions and black olives. Really a great lunch. Burgers are great, too. Love a place that is managed by folks who really like food, as well as people. This place shines.

YUM! Happy to find this little gem heading home from the bay area to Elk Grove. Great flame grilled hamburgers, chicken burgers, turkey burgers, and even veggie burgers. Also rich thick real ice cream milk shakes topped with whip cream. Just delicious!

What can I say, Delicious burger like how i remembered it back in high school. Also try the garlic fries, It's awesome.

These are hands down the best burgers in Fairfield. The staff is friendly and the selection is great. The burger bar is always fresh and there are plenty of choices for the condiments. There are two sizes of burgers. The 6 oz and the 8 oz. both are plenty big. The iced tea dispenser is a nice alternative to soda. I will keep coming back for more. The price is reasonable considering what you get. It will set you back around $25 for two people. But it is worth it. Believe me.

Good burgers.. Good sides.. Fresh vegetables.. Wish they had more of a craft beer selection.. Maybe a pool table.. More tv's.. The kids place you would like to go and hang out with friends..

We ate here a few weeks past but have craved a return visit since. No one in our party had a complaint except being to full. The plates are a generous serving. The build your own burger bar is fantastic for those eating in. The fries were crispy and the burgers juicy and flavorful.

Amazing burgers, probably best we've had. And yummy Cajun chicken sandwich. Highly recommend.

Awesome burger... Huge portions of fries and I love that you can put your own toppings on them.

Great portion sizes and quality ingredients, this is not a bad burger joint. The food is pretty good but the service is not. I like the Chicken Breast Burger and the California Chicken Burger.

This place is awesome! I love burgers and this place will always come to mind when I think of my favorite burger places. The atmosphere is good, plenty of room and clean! Now the burgers are really awesome. They actually ask how you would like it cooked and you have plenty of options as far as what kind of burgers and what kind toppings mushrooms bacon avocado etc. the buns are cooked with so they have a little crispness to them which is perfect! Plus they are good buns that for the most part hold their form and don't get all soggy and break apart. And the burgers are so incredibly delicious, nice and juicy with a great flavor. Fries are also good with healthy options if your into that. Pricing is also good, definitely won't break the bank! If you are in town and crave a burger I would say this is the go to place!

Just went here for the first time and was very impressed! It's nice to go to a privately owned establishment and be greeted with nice people and great customer service! The food was just as great! Good portions and good price. Also it was nice to have a place actually care about the product that there selling and offer A+ ingredients! All the toppings for the Burgers were absolutely fresh and looked as if they were just picked and cut! Tomatoes were bright deep red and perfectly cut! As well as the onion, lettuce etc... The restaurant and bathroom were very VERY Clean unlike most others! I would deff recommend this place to anyone looking for a good quality hamburger! Also had fish and chips and was also very good! A+++

Great place for burger of any kind. Gets busy so take your time and relax. We like the Chicken and Turkey Burgers with Bacon and onion rings. Nice choice of Teas too. Take a chance stop on in for Lunch...Enjoy

Monsoon is a hole in the wall; a hidden gem in the heart of Fairfield. You come in, greeted with a nice; relaxing atmosphere and a very nice staff, order your food, take a seat, and wait for your number to be called This is my second time coming here and we all got the California burger with garlic curly fries with big wave on the tap. The garlic curly fries are something new to me. Never have I thought such a pairing could exist; let alone taste as good as it did. I definitely recommend trying it. Te burger, for the price of approximately 9$, you get more than what you pay for, especially when you compare what you get at other burger places. The meat was huge! On top of this, you can help yourself a to whatever toppings your heart desires - lettuce, onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, condiments, need I go on? Overall: one of the best burgers I've ever tasted! Also great garlic curly fries and great service! Definitely stop by if you're in Fairfield.

It has been about 5 years since my last visit to Monsoon Burger, and I was quickly reminded why. To start, my beer was flat. My fries were flavorless, with many raw hunks of potato mixed in with the cooked fries. The 6oz burger is served on the same giant bun as the regular burger, and again, in general, flavorless. It was however, cooked as ordered. I also found the bacon to be rather bland, which is just strange. All in all, this was just a bad experience. I like to support small, local businesses when it's practical, but I will not be eating here again. Kudos to Monsoon Burger for staying in business.

Judging from the yelpers who rated Monsoon Burgers 5 stars, my family and I decided to give them a try. Although the place is very clean and the service was really friendly, its just an average burger joint. The burgers were bland. The fries were of the frozen variety. The mickey mouse chicken nuggets in the kids meal were dry, nasty, and of the frozen variety. The condiment bar was nothing special. It was clean and stocked but nothing out of the ordinary. The set up of the place is a bit odd. The grill is upfront by the register and condiment bar all while the kitchen is toward the back. So while enjoying my meal, the workers are going back and forth through the dining area with dirty dishes, food, etc. A little disappointed. Wasn't terrible but wasn't great either.

Monsoon Burger is a friendly burger joint at the bend of north and west Texas streets in Fairfield. Burgers are made to order. Options a plenty for veg, cheese, bacon, etc... They have fries, garlic fries, curly fries and onion rings. The price is right and food is tasty. Overall nothing special but nothing bad either.

While on a family trip in March, my son and I were "hankering" for a burger. After a little research, we found Monsoon Burgers. When asked what my favorite food is, I usually pretend to think for a minute while listing some possibilities, but ALWAYS answer with "Cheeseburgers"! I was NOT disappointed with our choice this time around. Monsoon Burger had a cozy, hip atmosphere where you order up front and then choose your spot while your burgers are cooked. THEN, when it is time to eat, you take your fresh, juicy, meat circle to the toppings bar and get to create a masterpiece to enjoy! My son and I grubbed on our food and left happy, satisfied and full. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Great place for a great burger. You get to add the fixings and sauces. Reasonably priced and quick service. Definitely will be going there for a burger fix.

The only reason I looked forward to jury duty was the opportunity to have lunch at Monsoon Burgers. Did I have ulterior motives your honor? I am guilty, guilty, guilty!

I came back to try their Garden Burger. This has a vegetarian patty which seemed to be comprised of potatoes, rice, other stuff, all delicately seasoned. I loaded it up with pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and onions and really enjoyed it - not as much as I enjoyed the fish sandwich but it was good! It came with a generous serving of fries and was under $7 before tax. Service was very friendly and everyone at the restaurant (customers and staff) seemed happy. When is the last time you could say that about a visit to some fast food joint? BTW I assume they get their name "Monsoon" from the rotating grill. The grill is circular and rotates above the flames in order to reduce hot-spots on the grill. Cool, and the food that comes off of it tastes good!

This place had a lot of promise outside. I was really looking forward to having a good burger when we went here. Also, I wanted to establish a go-to in my area. Sadly, I was disappointed. I think the burgers here are mediocre. The service was just dry and flat. It was blatantly obvious that taking our order was a chore. I asked for my burger medium and it came extremely well. Their cart of add-ones like lettuce, tomato, pickles...was populated by little flies. Uh yeah, I'm putting that on my burger. The place has so much potential. It's a big lobby but just nothing to it. I don't think I would come back unless things change. The star I'm giving is for it's space because they can be something special. The place has so much potential

Average is the best word to describe Monsoon Burger. Nothing really special about it. The food, decor, pricing. I had the chicken breast burger. It was kind of dry and it came slightly burnt. Perhaps their beef burgers are better. Also, the fries were pretty bland. I did like the salad/condiment bar they had. Made customizing my burger very easy. The pricing was more expensive than what I thought it was actually worth. $22 for two burgers and two cokes! I probably won't be going back.

My only regret is not having found out about this burger joint earlier which is kinda lame considering I've lived in this area practically all my life.. Anyway, right from the get-go the workers are kind and welcoming which is always a good sign when you first walk in a restaurant. Since today is National Cheeseburger Day, I knew exactly what kind of burger I wanted. I ordered the 6oz. mushroom swiss cheeseburger and asked for avocado on top. It also came with fries which I upgraded for curly fries. My burger was perfectly cooked just the way I asked for, which was medium, and it was oooh so juicy inside. All topped with a nicely toasted bun. My mom ordered the 8oz. cheeseburger and was pleased with the cook on her patty as well. You can even see the burgers on a big rotating grill on your way in the restaurant which is kind of cool. The fries were crisp with just enough seasoning and the side of fried zucchini that we had was hot and crispy. Another plus is they have a burger topping bar where you can customize your burger to your liking, with everyone from the basic lettuce and tomato to their pickled toppings. Lastly, they have a giant tv and plenty of seating so you can watch the game while enjoying your meal! Best way to end the night.

Since moving to Fairfield over 2 months ago I scoured yelp looking for the best restaurants in the area. I wanted to hit up all the good spots and live in total food heaven. After reading all the good reviews about MB, I was convinced to give it a try (although hesitant, because past good ratings have led me down some bad food decisions). Well, I'm in love. I had a pretty good top 5 list favorite foods and Monsoon Burger managed to kick all my favorites out of the top. I went with my grandma a few days ago (who has been there before and like everyone else, raved about it) and was pleasantly surprised. The layout of the restaurant was much different then what I imagined. The open feeling between the dining area and the kitchen was favored, the bar stools for extra seating among the dining tables and chair was nice. I wouldn't define this space as 'airy' by any means, but it felt alive and friendly. We ordered a 6 oz. bacon cheeseburger well done (we split it in half to share), onion rings and garlic fries. I loved their condiment bar especially because everything was fresh. I poured the jalapenos all over my half of the cheeseburger, put a dab of mustard on it with a slice of lettuce and proceeded to enter burger heaven. I'm not a huge onion ring fan so I don't feel I should comment on it. I'd be too biased because I really don't like onion rings. The garlic fries were phenomenal. Not too much garlic, but just enough to make you taste that garlic all day and all night. The fries were fresh and crispy. Perfection. I will definitely be coming back. Hope to see you there! :)

I came to pay a visit and was not satisfied. I ordered a hot link sandwich with cheese to go. I waited ten minutes for a call-in pick up order. Couldn't help but notice the cook playing on his cell phone without washing his hands before returning to put buns on the grill and handling hamburger meat with his bare hands! Eww! (People play with their cell phones while on the toilet which makes it improper for use while handling other's food!) After waiting in line for ten minutes for pickup I left to eat my sandwich. At the second bite, I felt something stringy pulling from the sandwich. I thought it was cheese. But it wouldn't break. So I grabbed it between my fingers. It was hair! The cook playing on the cell phone's hair. He wasn't wearing a hair net! It's 2015 and seeing that this establishment can't utilize proper precautions in ensuring cleanliness when handling food, I won't be returning. They were cooperative in giving me my refund, though.

Went today and got the Cajun Chicken Sandwich/Burger. Upgraded the fries to onion rings and got a water cup, all for a little over $9.00. The sandwich was deliciously spicy and of course I added (from the condiment bar) some fresh lettuce, onions, tomatoes (kinda mushy, yuck!), & mayo.. It was a pretty darn near perfect chicken sandwich! The onion rings were fried perfectly.. Only recommendation would be that they need to have an option JUST for a burger or chicken sando.. I'm not always into the fries, onion rings, carrot sticks, potato salad etc and just want the "entree".. :)
