My son loves the Barbocoa Buritto, it is his favorite ever. I like the rice, it's very well seasoned with a hint of lime. The tacos are good as well. FRESH INGREDIENTS!

What a horrible place! We normally love chipotle but the service here was horrid. My fiancé walked in there and the over weight Latin woman said someone will be right with him as she stood and did nothing. Then her coworker (who was helping someone else) asked, "are you going to help him" she just shook her head no and continued to ignore him. The girl who was already doing all the work had to do that lazy girls work as well. Awful! That place should get rid of her she is useless. If there are any corporate or high up managers reading this, it took place on Wednesday December 14, 2011 at about 8:20pm.

I was very disappointed in this place, since I've heard some many great things. I've tired it on two separate occasions just in case I has something bad the first time...but times were a bust. I had a burrito both times and was disappointed both times. I will not be eating at this place ever again!

If you grew up anywhere in San Diego you probably have a favorite taco shop that serves up your own ideal of greasy Mexican food. Nothing wrong with the local fill-in-the-bertos. They have saved me many a late night when hunger accosted me, and like shining lighthouses their flickering yellow signs stood out as the only hope for a late night meal. However, sometimes you want to actually eat great Mexican food AND feel good afterwords. Chipotle is definitely a different breed of Mexican food. For starters, the menu is very small. They are specialists. Your main choice is between the burrito, or the tortilla-less, more health conscious burrito bowl. They do have tacos and quesadillas, but whatever you choose you're pretty much getting the same combination of ingredients. No carneasada fries here. You go to Chipotle when you want a burrito. The burrito you will get is exceptional. You choose between chicken, steak, shredded beef, or carnitas, then add various fixin's . They make it right in front of you. It is huge. The ingredients are supper fresh and healthy compared to what is offered at the average taco stand. So why 5 stars. To sum it up, Chipotle has it's own unique take on Mexican food that you will not taste anywhere else. Secondly, consistency; I have eaten here dozens of times and it's always the same burrito. The meat always tender and cooked perfectly, the rice always light and delicious, the guacamole always fresh. Always a perfect burrito. Only downside, not open all night like those taco shops...

Stopped by today for lunch with a co-worker and ordered my usual chicken salad bowl except this time, they forgot to put chicken in my bowl! It wasn't entirely their fault as my partner who was in front of me wanted to add fajitas and ended up distracting the lady who had my bowl and ended up just sliding it over to the salsa girl. Thankfully, I noticed even after I ate about 70% of it and spoke to the manager who was nearby when I was ordering who then went ahead and gave me the chicken! Will definitely return to this location again!

I've been to this particular chipotle twice in the past few months, and before my last two experiences, except for the expected long lines, it really wasn't half bad. The last time I went in, they must have just hired new people because they completely messed up what I asked for in my burrito. Brown rice instead of white, incorrect meat, salsa, etc. I was really disappointed! The time before that was a few months ago. I again went in at one of the slowest parts of the day in the middle of the afternoon, there was me and a few other guys in line behind me. I ordered my burrito, then they made it, and as soon as I got up to the cash register, the employee walked away and went to go do something else. There were literally employees socializing behind the counter where they cook the food and they could clearly see me waiting to pay for my food and they weren't doing anything??? I waited at least 5 minutes or more standing at the cash register waiting for someone to ring me up. I was in a hurry and was ready to walk out without paying! Fortunately I didn't, and a little while later someone finally walked up and rang me up. I was also looking at the guy's order next to me, and the girl kept asking him what he wanted, and he specifically said "no lettuce" at least twice, and she put lettuce in it anyway??? And then he said "no I don't want lettuce" and she said "oh" and then she wrapped up his burrito and did nothing about it!??? The service at this chipotle is not good.

It's very difficult to dine in here because of the limited seating on weekends. I used to come to this location regularly but could never find an open seat. Then it was only for takeout. Now I always go to the new location on East Valley Parkway because it's never busy and there are always plenty of open seats. Best Bets - Bowl + grilled veg + light cheese + Pico De Gallo With a side of chips and their green salsa. + Bottle of Chipotle hot sauce and Coke Zero for dessert.

I worked for chipotle in New York for 3 years before moving back to California. This chipotle is doing it right. Although I received a bag of chips with stale choices, I was easily and politely given a new bag with delicious ones with no hassle. Keep going strong to that restauranteur!

I don't have any complaints. Fast, friendly and consistent every time. The food was good. I am a regular at chipotle.

I like going to this Chipotle because it's close to the freeway exit and there is always plenty of parking spots to choose from. I especially like this location because they were the first ones to consistently (and correctly) charge me $2.16 for a bean and cheese burrito. They just charge for an order of 2 sides, unlike other locations that were charging me over $4 for something 1/4 the regular Chipotle-size. Rude. Always a fast-moving line, but they serve margaritas at this location in case you need a drink because someone ahead of you is holding up the line and increasing the amount of time between you and your burrito bliss. Other than that, basically the same as any other Chipotle. No complaints here! (knock on wood)

I've had chipotle 100x before, and it seems to be getting worse. Every time I get chicken, it's either burnt or chunks of fat. Pretty annoying. Makes me not want to get any meat what so ever. The only reason I get chicken is because they haven't had carnitas in months. Tonight I found a hair halfway through my bowl. Threw the rest out and nearly threw up because I lost my appetite. You probably think I'm over reacting, but I have no idea what part of the body this hair came from. All I know is that it's disgusting.

I think I've been to every single chipotle in San Diego... And I must say this is one of the better locations. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Even when it's busy, we can get in and out quickly. Also there is plenty of parking and the food is always fresh. I would recommend this location for sure:)

Love Chipotle. I try not to eat it too often, because those massive burritos carry a hefty calorie count, but I've never been let down. My recent discoveries include the "Quesorito", which is when they let the cheese to the inside of the tortilla and crisp the outside. It makes the burrito feel a little firmer since the tortilla is crispy, and the cheese is more evenly coated. I'm always a burrito guy, and it's usually steak for me. Get that spicy salsa! I've never had to wait too long, unlike some of the other folks here. I have friends that secretly scheme ways to get their burritos as packed as possible, but I never leave here as anything other than very full... so I don't know why that's necessary. Haha

Ugh. If it weren't for the diarrhea this place gave me (black beans, rice, guac, corn, and shredded beef), I'd day I'd go back. Grr. I went in for the 2-for-1 coupon I got but dang it my stomach is killing me!!

The food is good of course but the customer service sucks ! As a former employee I know what to expect and I feel like in this location i didn't get anything but good quality yummy food. The employees didn't smile nor greet me. Not returning to this place 2 stars for the food

OK, so this is the first time I've ever eaten at Chipotle and this is the spot where I went to. I've seen this restaurant a lot in the news, saying it's a "healthy Mexican restaurant." I'm health conscious and I like Mexican food so why not give it a try? It's basically like Subway but with workers that look like they belong at Starbucks I ordered a burrito. It's very bland to be honest, not a lot of flavor. Other than that, the workers were nice and I appreciate the fact that they gave me a free fountain drink since I told them it was my first time at Chipotle........

When I came here I used the rest of my gift card to get Izzees. I threw the line out of whack since I didn't order any food. Everybody was pretty pleasant about it though. I got my Izzees, paid and left.

I am a huge fan of Chipotle... When I lived in Ohio, I sometimes had it for lunch 4-5 times a week.... This Chipotle was such a let down both times I've been to this location ordering multiple Burrito bowls. Vegetarian bowl means no meat... Stop trying or putting chicken in it because you are on autopilot. When someone asks for extra chicken, they are paying an additional $2.15 for it... Make sure you actually put double meat! I have zero problem paying for extra, have a big problem not getting what I paid for. I asked for extra rice and chicken and my bowl maybe looked like a normal size portion should be... Last time I just asked for the regular portions and actually had to get a second Burrito bowl it was so skimpy... This location needs to get it together, seriously...

This place is completely hit or miss. Sometimes the portions are great and sometimes it's the smallest $8 burrito I've ever seen. Go to another location of you can. Consistency is weak here. Staff is friendly though and quality of food is fine. It's just the portions that are terrible.

    (1)
  • K M.

Not sure what it is about this location... But the staff always seems a little timid. The customer service bar is set pretty low here - they seem to kind of run their own game. The food is always pretty consistent other than the stale chips I get from time to time. I know it's just a chain but I feel like there is some guidance/structure needed here.

We used to frequent this location when they first opened. We love the salad, but in the past year everything has gone downhill! First, they NEVER give you salad dressing with your salad. You always have to ask, and even then it's a chore for them. Second, everything is a chore for the employees. They are are always in a hurry and irritated to be serving you. So I guess my money will go elsewhere.

Came to this place because one of my friends recently got hired here. The food is what you would expect from any Chipotle, and like most things it's a matter of taste and I would say the taste here is a good one. Good was fresh and tasty like promised. This location is also is a really nice area of town. Also the location is very clean and offers indoor and outdoor eating area. The outdoor eating area is nice because it was its own little fence around it. The outside area could use a bit more attending since chairs are sometimes all over the place but nothing major. The manager was a bit rude with her tone and the tables outside were not perfect, but other than that it all ran smooth. The workers there are all very kind and helpful, and some even pretty cute. Recommend it.

Was the food good??? Nope. Was the food bland and nothing special? Yup. Were there long lines and not enough tables? Yup. Was it worth the money and time to come here?? Nope. That pretty much summed it up. Honestly, there are so many other places you can go for better food and a better dining experience.

My husband, son and I frequently get the one of their Bowls with Brown Rice & Black Beans, Carnitas & Barbacoa, or I usually combine the Chicken and Carnitas and of course salsa, guacamole, tomatoes, lettuce and cheese are a Must to make it complete. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Service is awesome, and the prices are perfect.

Order an off-menu Quesadilla Burrito. (Sorry Taco Bell, but Chipotle has been secretly doing the Quesarito for years.) They'll make a Quesadilla, then open it and make your choice of burrito with it. Mmmmm...

Love this place! Had never been until most recently and the food is amazing. It can be a hit or miss with portions though and for the most part the employees all give great portions except for one lady that works there. Don't know her name since they don't wear name tags but she can be very stingy with portions and gives you a feel to get get in and get the heck out. Piercing under her lower lip, light mark on upper right cheek, slender Mexican woman and always has her hair in a braid. When she's not there however, it's a great experience with great portions and a great atmosphere!

don't have time for a proper sit-down meal, but don't want to resort to ordering fast food? chipotle will hit the spot. it's cheap, quick, and prepared "fresh." you won't feel guilty about eating there or feel like you're cheating your diet. their system is quick and easy so you can basically order the same meal a different # of ways. burrito? burrito bowl? salad? hard shell tacos? soft tacos? it's all good. chicken? steak? carnitas? vegetarian? take your pick. the lime-infused rice (or healthier brown rice option) is tasty. they even garnish the lime and cilantro on their chips, which you can pair with a side of salsa or guacamole. -civilities.

I like chipotle because of the consistency great quality and fresh ingredients. Every time i go to chip tile anywhere, my expectations are filled. I always have left overs so it a 2 meal for one. I usually get the bowl but since their secret menu has been out there so much to try! Check that out! Plus they give u a cup for water without havering to ask. I just wish they didn't charge extra for guacamole.

Weather it's this chipolte or many others like it around . I have never had a bad experience . Have had slow service for getting margaritas when they are busy. But always a good experience. They always have fresh ingredients, they have bowls for those on GF diets or salads for those cutting carbs out entirely. I usually get brown rice , black beans and steak but you can never go wrong with the combination you chose . Best tip I can give you go hungry because you will be leaving full ..

Chipotle is wonderful because of it's fresh food, and many locations. However i have consistently found the customer service that is held so highly at many other Chipotle restaurants is simply lack at this location in particular.

Not all places are created equal. At least I'd love to think so. I'm a Chipotle FIEND, okay? I've been to the one in Mission Valley for awhile and have had extraordinary food and service there. I definitely can not say the same here. 1. I'm totally understanding that we came during Friday at lunch, but seriously, can you slow down enough to make sure we get lettuce on our burrito bowl please? Quality over quantity. I'd much rather wait a minute or two or three to get my food order accurately and not feel like I'm just being pushed through the door. 2. For some ODD reason, even after ordering my usual, (the mild salsa, chicken, black beans, brown rice, cheese, guac and lettuce) my bowl was unusually spicy. Trust me, I can eat a spicy dish, but that's not what I ordered. What was worse is that our friend ordered the same thing I did, but she is pregnant and didn't want it spicy like that. I understand CHIPOTLE, but something was made not quite right. 3. Can you say, "Portion Control"? I know I could inhale, err, I mean eat my food pretty fast, but it was definitely more on the skimpy side. So were the other two plates we had. I think if we came on a non busy time, we would have probably gotten the right sized portion, but I think the kitchen was pumping the food out slow. 4. A plus is that their guac and tortilla chips were amazing, as always! What irritates me the most is there are tons of places in the area to eat and I begged my wife and her friend to come here and it didn't turn out as good as I was hoping it would be. If you decide to eat here at this location, remember that just because it's called Chipotle, doesn't mean that it's got that top notch food and service like all the other chains. Meanwhile, looks like back to trusty Mission Valley location from now on!

If I could I'd give them a zero. They have messed up my order more times than I can count. And when my boyfriend or I come in to try to tell them its messed up, they remake it but they are also rude about it. My boyfriend also says they aren't exactly friendly when he goes there and orders or has a question. AND.. Compared to other chipotle locations i've been to (carmel mountain and san marcos) their food tastes old and not as good as those locations. i've only came here because its close. Not anymore!!!

Food here was good just like any other Chipotle. The girl that was running the place was running a tight shift making sure that everything was in order from the food to the workers. The dining area here is the smallest of all the Chipotle's I've been to. Only other problem I had was the place smelled funny right when I walked in. Maybe the garbages were full, I dunno but I pressed on into line. Overall: -Pros: Located close to 2 freeway off ramps and lots of other shops if you're in the area. -Cons: The funny smell...

I ordered the three tacos and I wanted to eat them there, so they'll be fresh. Not really, very dry and cold. I didn't enjoy them, they don't put a lot of meat on it and had no flavor. I'll stick with the burrito next time.

This place is been 'ok' so far. There is not much to comment since you don't really have contact with the employees, they do their job, ask what you need and that's about it, but what concerned me was the cashier at the very end. He looked like he was pretty out of it to begin with and so he didn't put any chips in the bag, until my SO said something. Then he charged us $1.50, which I know is not much, but every other time I've been there (I don't know if they have charged us or not) they simply put it in there, which I'm pretty sure they cant just 'ADD STUFF' to your bag and CHARGE you for it. And the best part? When I was eating those chips they were so STALE. Pretty upset I just paid $1.50 for stale chips :(

I love going to chipotle! Their barbacoa burrito is so yummy! I think that the problem that I have with this location is the servers. They seem to always be on break in groups of 3 or more. I'm in management and I would never let such a large amount of employees go on break at the same time. First off, it is dinner time and the line is huge. Yet, they are on break when there should be more employees on the line to get the customers through. I do understand that breaks have to come within the midpoint of their shift.. But come on.. Write the schedule a little different! Secondly, when employees are on break, they take up space at customer tables. The place is already small to begin with and when employees take up valuable customer space, you could lose sales. Lastly, they always seem to be more focused on each other chatting on the line instead of focusing on the customer. They are only half listening at best if that much to you. I find it to be a reoccurring theme that happens after 4p.m. When we come in the afternoon, I don't see these type of things happening. I can't wait until the one opens up on valley parkway... Hopefully management will be better here which begets better employees that focus on customer service.

I love chipotle. This is one of the few places I'm allowed to eat when I'm on my dieting plans, and sadly this location just isn't up to par. On many occasions, they have been very stingy with their protein, a serving is supposed to be 4 ounces where this place serves closets to 2 ounces of meat in a serving. Especially if I'm ordering a bowl with double meat and I'm paying over $9 for my food, I would expect they wouldn't be so stingy. Their double serving of meat that I end up paying for is closer to the single serving of meat that it SHOULD come with. And they are even stingy with their lettuce! I asked for extra lettuce one time and the girl literally grabbed like 4 strands of lettuce and tossed it on top. Seriously?! I try to avoid this location when I can, and you should too.

I've eaten at every Chipotle from San Diego to Temecula and this was my first time at this location. I had three problems with my meal: 1. I found bay leaves in my food. If I can't eat it, it shouldn't be in my burrito bowl. Try to eat one and there's a good chance you'll choke. 2. Large chunks of hard unripe avocado made up 50% of my guacamole. I couldn't even pierce it with my fork, WTF! 3. Slivers of the avocado's pit somehow made it into the remaining guacamole. I didn't realize I was getting the extra fiber until I attempted to chew them. Yeah, trying to eat that sucked. I'm glad I didn't swallow or it probably would have stabbed me in the throat. Whoever prepared this food did a terrible job.

  • Amy S.

I feel the customer service is just about the same @ any Chipotle. I've never been thrown off by anyone. I only wish I knew some of the people working, like my other friends, so I could get generous portions too! It's all about the Vegetarian Black Bean burrito. White rice (Brown is just NOT the same) Hold the peppers. Cheese. A little sour cream. Lettuce Guacamole And then add some hot sauce while eating. Scrumptious. I'd rather eat this than BK or McD's any day. When I'm out and about, starving and short on time; this is where I go.

Best "Chain" Mexican food restaurant that I know! Their burritos are delicious! And I don't know if I'm lying to myself, but I believe they are the healthiest burritos you can get (as long as you don't start adding sour cream and all that bad stuff). Love me some Chipotle!

Best chain fast food by far and bar none. Watch the chipotle story on netflix and you'll see what I mean. It's easy to eat healthy and delicious at places like this. I can't recommend this enough!

Okay so I love chipotle I really really do. I go a lot I try to stay away from this one though but stopped here on my way home from work cause I was craving it. So the person who helped just was not happy she was rude and she barely put anything on the burrito I mean seriously your gonna pay 9+ on a burrito with Guac I want it to have more than a itsy bitsy sprinkle of cheese and even the beans she put soooooo much rice had to ask to get some taken of but literally a half a spoon of beans. I don't like to have to ask for more 3 times on each item like come on give me what I'm paying for please and than when I go to cash out the guy throws chops at me and rings them up!!!! I never once asked for chips I don't even like chips it was so disappointing to see what a horrible establishment this was seems like they really only care about the money and to give you least amount of food they can. Will for sure not visit this location again will stick to one in poway and 4s that have real customer service

  • Julianna S.

Chipotle's food recipes are consistent from location to location, so the flavors are what draw me in; the problem though is with the customer service at this particular location. It seems like pulling teeth to get the servers to listen to what you want in your meal, and when you ask for more because they put like one piece of fajita veggie on each taco, then they are very skimpy with adding any extra. I have noticed that the only time they are paying full attention is at noon when they are having the usual rush. Try going here at an off hour and good luck even getting consistent eye contact. They are usually socializing with each other over paying attention to what you are ordering, or borderline arguing with me, the customer, about what I would like in my order. Its disappointing because the prices are higher for me personally as a vegetarian than if I were to go to any other local taco shop. So forgive me, the customer, when I ask for a bit more guacamole on my glorified rice taco! Its not like you aren't making huge profit margins regardless of if you give me a tiny bit more. And what the hell do the employees care about profit margins anyway? They are paid the same regardless and they should want to make the customers happy! I've noticed that a lot of other people share similar feelings about this location, and it is surprising to me that no one from corporate has noticed or cared yet. I work in a customer service position myself and there is no way we would get away with consistently disappointing customers like this. I haven't had these kind of issues at any other location, I haven't been to very many of them but I know the Redlands, CA location hooks it up with good portions.

I would rather drive to San Marcos. I have given his Chipotle three chances and they will not get any more. Each experience I have found that the staff was rude, and the tables were dirty on all three occasions. I absolutely have to be careful about gluten cross contamination, and when I said that I was Celiac and politely asked the staff person making my meal to change her gloves I got a scoff and eye roll. When I waited to give my order until the gloves were change the person finally changed their gloves. This is one of the few chains that I feel somewhat safe to eat at on a regular basis and not fear getting sick, yet I have gotten sick here two out of the three times I ate here. The last one I don't think was a gluten issue my other family members that had the chicken got sick as well.

The place is understaffed on a Saturday night. The local customer base seems to be made up of the oddest collection of rude "nice" people-- the type of people who would step on your foot, spit in your face, and then apologize because they "couldn't see you." This place is strange.

  • Summer B.

My boyfriend and I are vegan and we love chipotle! We eat at this location regularly, and I'm surprised to read some of these reviews. They are never stingy, they usually have trouble rolling the burrito because they put too much! As I said we come to this location a lot, so we've been helped by many different employees and at different times of the day, and have never had a bad experience. The employees are always friendly. And after having been to the Carmel Mountain location, we love ours even more, the veggies didn't taste fresh at the other location at all.

This is just an all around great place to eat. It is healthy, a lot of organic things. Its absolutely delicious and has a great burrito that is vegan friendly. I have been here probably 40x and have only ever ordered 2 different things. One is the vegetarian burrito and the other is the chicken burrito double wrapped. They are extremely delicious and at a stellar price. I like the Vista, and San Marcos locations better. They seem a bit more friendly.

I work at North County Buick Cadillac GMC and every weekend the Sales Department buys lunch for all the Sale representatives. We switch it up all the time, so this weekend we chose Chipotle which we have in the past. We did a fax order that went smooth. Margarita, who called us to verify are order was so helpful and even called when the order was almost ready. Margarita showed great customer service, which is always a plus! I went to pick up the food and everyone was so friendly, even asked if I wanted help to the car. I was in and out, which was awesome with the lunch rush. Everyone was happy with their food and enjoyed every bite. The food was fresh and tasty. Thanks to the Chipotle Team, everyone was very happy with their lunch. Wont be our last time ordering food from there.

It's fast food, it's tasty, it's consistent, it's somewhat healthy and the staff is friendly! The only down side is the chicken can sometimes be extremely fatty which makes it hard to eat. Delicious chips to add to any meal And the place is pretty clean.

I do love Chipotle and this is the closest one to my house so I come here frequently, but it's probably my least favorite in terms of portions. I've been to many Chipotles are they are all pretty much the same, the service is usually good, the food flavor is consistent and the only thing I can complain about is the portions. I feel like it is inconsistent. I know it depends on who is serving you, but I always feel like I'm getting gypped of my food. I always ask for double meat (which you have to pay extra for) and I feel like they don't even give me a full scoop. I sometimes call them out, depending on my mood, most of the time it's after the gym and I'm a starving hulk and need that protein!!! It can be a bit pricey at Chipotle, I do enjoy their food, service, and everything else about the business but I just want that full scoop of rice, beans, chicken, beef, etc... I really like the Carmel Mt. Chipotle. They do it right!

This is healthy, right? I think so. I like how I get to pick exactly what I want in it. It's like Subway, but instead of sandwiches, burritos. My typical order at Chipotle is a Chicken bowl. I get the rice (brown rice is now an option, yay!), no beans, chicken, tomato salsa, hot salsa, corn (lots of it), cheese (just a bit), and lots of lettuce. Then I shake it. Shake it like a salt shaker! I usually get through about half before I get full... so that's two meals for me right there. 2 meals for 6 bucks AND it's healthy and delicious... you can't beat that!

Located in a busy center, this place does not have much parking... But they do serve fresh and delicious food. They provide indoor and outdoor parking and free refills!

How can you not love chipotle? A others have said, they can sometimes be a little stingy depending n who is there, but you can always ask for a little more. Their guac is so good. Love it

Employees generally are not friendly, stingy with meat and just got severe food poisoning from the chicken. Will not eat here again

First time writing a review! Worst customer service ever!! Employees couldn't get my order straight and they had the worst attitude! Never going back!

I like this because its fast, its good, its portions are generous, its way healthier than other fast food choices, and you have a decent variety based on what you order and how you build it. I'm a fan...

This location kinda bummed me out. It's small, which shouldn't matter, but it put me off somehow. Also, the staff were friendly, but not very generous on the scooping of ingredients and acted pretty bored while serving me. Usually my Chipotle experience is EXCITING! I'm frickin' EXCITED when I go to Chipotle! Babacoa time baby! ... But alas, even the Babacoa let me down this trip. It was dry and not spicy. I've gotta believe it's a one-time fail... I'll suck it up and come back for one final shot at this location in a month or so. Peace!

Chipotle is my favorite chain burrito spot in the San Diego area. The menu is simple and you know exactly what you are going to get. I like the recent addition of brown rice for health. With all the diverse choices in San Diego I don't frequent Chipotle much but it is a guarantee tasty cheap meal. My tip is get a bowl with the tortilla on the side. It seems like you get even more than the epic huge burritos!

I got a gift card the other day because I was the closest to measuring the Mommy-to-be belly's correctly, so I got a gift card to come here. I don't come here often but what the heck? Free food, sure! I stood rather far from the counter to see what i want before getting in line, the woman said "have you been here before? you need to get in line over there". I told her I wasn't in line, I was looking to see what I want to order, jeezus, woman! I got in line and decided on the chicken burrito bowl, with sour cream on the side and a Nantucket Nectar peach orange drink came to $8 and change, my gift card was for $5, but I was more shocked that they charge me extra for wanting sour cream on the side. Also, the women who were piling stuff in my bowl asked me questions really quickly and I couldn't understand them the first time around so they looked irritated for having to repeat, but if said it slow and correctly the first time, you wouldn't have to repeat yourself. The food was good but it wasn't great, I guess I'm picky about my burrito bowl.

Worst Chipotle experience ever. We ordered a kids meal and were told rice and beans are included, but then we were charged for them. Two of four burritos were mislabeled, our kids meal did not come with chips as indicated on the menu board. The burritos themselves were sub par and not made to our specifications.

Food was pretty good, though the steak pieces had a lot of grissle in them. Negative is the place was dirty. Outside and inside tables had not been wiped down for awhile. Floors were a mess. Bathroom no paper towels. Management needs to stay up on the cleanliness.

I've been coming here since it's opened. The food is decent, typical Chipotle/Qdoba-style. The staff has been pretty mixed here... some days I go in, and they are very friendly, other times they can be very rude. Other times, the "authentic" accent has been so strong, I've had trouble understanding what they are saying. My biggest complaint is that the portion sizes seem to be diminishing. I used to come here and struggle to finish it. Nowadays, the burritos seem about half the size of what they were. I'm hoping that the new San Marcos Blvd. location will be better, more along the lines of what this location used to be.

Normally my wife and I love Chipotle, I think it must be this location. Every time we come here the bowls seem to get smaller and smaller. We both order the same thing and the bowls are sitting side by side. The person making them can see one looks almost empty and the other is half way normal. Absolutely NO consistency! We are between the San Marcos location and this one, I think we might be going to San Marcos. :(

I love chipotle! No matter what city i'm in, i will always choose chipotle for some good, fast food.. I mean, it's chipotle so it's all the same pretty much. The customer service experience is just always different from place to place.

Okay, I guess I should up my review since I lied about saying I probably wont come back for awhile =/ more like a few days. HA! I discovered the shredded beef and bowls. I love now! Plus it doesn't help its on the way home from school. I think its the rice, corn, and hot sauce I'm in love with. Damn you Chipotle for sucking me in! Its not even authentic mexican food. Oh well! Bowls FTW :)

Chipotle raised their prices. However, one wouldn't know this unless u pay attention. Chipotle doesn't have a menu with prices on big board or anywhere in restaurant. The cashier said tax went up, not true. Now my favorite lunch is over $10 :( I'll think twice before going now. Chipotle just passed into the luxury category for me.

I went to Chipotle for lunch as I had a gift card from a Christmas present 3 years ago. I heard that they had some salads so I decided to stop in and grab one. It's been a few years since I've been to Chipotle so it was refreshing to retry the food there. I went in and found a BUSY lunchtime rush. Every seat indoors was taken. I went up and ordered my food. I got the salad with barbecoa with pinto beans. It's not your average salad but I guess that's what they're aiming to do. The food here isn't bad. I can't really say it's the greatest but the food here will do when I'm hungry. My favorite of the meats is definitely the barbacoa though. Give it a try if you have a chance to stop by. They've got many different locations across the United States so I'm sure one is just around the corner.

We've come here a few times, and the food wasn't ever really the problem so much as the staff. I always felt like we were getting yelled at. I hate the founder of Chipotle, so we try to really limit the amount of business we give chipotle, and only come here on the verge of starvation. We've only been in once since the owner got slammed with a lawsuit about hiring undocumented workers-we noticed that all the employees we saw on our last visit were much more fair-skinned, shall we say, than the previous employees. Food was fine, there was some weird sign posted about not getting a chicken shipment and having to serve chicken that isn't as "free-range as normal". Tasted the same as far as I can remember. Again, my biggest issue with Chipotle has nothing to do with this, or any location. It really is the jackass founder. The food is really only mediocre and I feel like we can get better mexican food right in the area.

Big burritos and usually pretty fresh ingredients, but it lacks the little extra that you can get from the mom/pop mexican places that are all over the place.

Chipotle is great, clean location, and kid-friendly (almost). Unsure why no Chipotle Restaurants have Diaper Changing Stations. After having our baby, we've eaten here less and less because of that lack of convenience for those consumers that have children. Good food - not young family friendly.

I would eat here every day if I could. To me, every Chipotle is the same and produces a consistently good burrito, so this location is just about as good as any other. I love Chipotle!!

Stopped in to use my "free burrito gift card" for a late lunch. Got thru the line (Black Friday!) pretty fast. Got my burrito and was pleased to see that they included the guac at "no charge" within the gift card....Very Coool!

It's a saltier version of Qdoba. Plenty'o people like Chipotle over Qdoba, but I'm pretty sure they're on crack. If I'm going to be eating inauthentic mexican, then this will be one of my middle choices. so in order of preference of who i'd like to make my food: 1. any authentic mexican restaurant 2. in fact, any authentic mexican 3. qdoba 4. chipotle 5. baja fresh 6. taco bell

Yup, I'm a fan! It's mexican food, without the typical vibe. This place is super modern, both in it's artwork and music (they were playing Radiohead inside!) It's more like a Subway meets McDonald's meets Rubio's, but to me the food is better than those places. Sorry, Subway, you came in at a close second. Lots to love about this place: the unique vibe, the very fresh ingredients, the portions, and the service. Try it! They're popping up all over the place, so it's good to see if you like it or not.

great food quality for on the go. i usually get the 3 tacos with chicken on hard shell with black beans, lettuce, cheese, salsa. chipotle is pricy but good every once in awhile

I come here pretty often, and I'm always pleased. It's the same as any other Chipotle you've been to--except for a little smaller on the inside. The food is great--who DOESN'T want to eat a burrito the size of a baby?!

I love this place. How has it not been reviewed yet? I love the carnitas here. I get it in a burrito, I get it in a soft tacos, or burrito bowl. I love that they use as much organic stuff as possible, and no antibiotics in their pork and try to use as much good stuff as possible. They are very quick, almost too quick, be ready to know what you want. But it's fast food mexican without feeling too guilty about your health.

This big chain is a pretty safe bet. If you're looking for a burrito to make your b-hole stinky for days then look no further. If you're stumbling around on your heads and toes for a French brunchst on one dark and foggy day then this mayn't be what you wish for; however you could do so MUCH worse.

Love this Chipotle, my family and I eat here at least once a week. The employees are super friendly and the store is clean.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
