Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

really, there's nothing bad to say about Piatti, it's one of my favorites. I've come here for lunch, dinner, and even just for dessert & coffee. The Gelato balsamico is to die for

I went here with two friends for Saturday lunch, and the food, service and ambiance were all excellent. The warm bread and olive oil blend that started off the meal was delicious. We shared the beef carpaccio appetizer. My boyfriend ordered the lamb burger and our other friend ordered the special short rib ravioli. I ordered the salmon. We shared tiramisu for dessert. We were all very pleased with our food. The waiter was fantastic and attentive. We will definitely come back!

Pleasantly surprised by this place! I must be honest... I was not super excited when my friend wanted to meet up in Danville for dinner ;) But my first dining experience in this city ended in joy by this charming place. Like other yelpers, their bread and dipping oil must be one of my all-time favorites. I had a soup and shrimp appetizer, and my friend had seafood linguini - both were very delicious. Kudos to their small-portion dish options as well. A food connoisseur must know not to keep his/her stomach full for what may come next! For us, it was the to-die-for gelato - what a great ending to a great dinner! :)

Just had an amazing dinner at Piatti! Stephanie was our server and she suggested just the right drinks and menu items, which were all delicious. She was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The bus staff was right there with all the extras as well. How thoughtful and attentive the staff was! Thank you, Piatti, for a wonderful dining experience for our family of four. Loved it.

Took an out of town guest to Piatti's this past Saturday as food is consistently good but the service was terrible and it took forever for our waiter to attend to us! It was quite embarrassing as we thought it was going to be a great experience for our guest who was paying for the dinner. Walked in at 6 pm and ended up leaving at 8 pm because it took so long get served for drinks, then the main course and then to get the check. I had to get up personally and look for someone to give us spoons for our pasta.

Came here a few times in the past whenever my bf lived in Danville. Friendly & great service. Delicious Italian food. Warm & oak-y decor. I've always wonder what it would be like to eat outside where the lights were strung out- looks romantic-y, but always ate inside...

I would write about the food except I never got to eat any...why? Well, the people at the restaurant screwed up and didn't put my reservation in their system. I made the reservation at noon and when I called at 5pm to check they claimed I had not made one. The 6 people in our party heard my phone conversation. We were visiting from Los Angeles and needed to eat gluten free this place seemed perfect. Guess I will never know because they screwed up. Extremely disappointing.

Took the family here tonight. We had a great time. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and knew the menu very well. All fresh ingredients. We sat outside on the patio. The food was fantastic. Our kids had the spaghetti and meatballs. My wife had the fresh fish which was simply amazing. My Ravioli di Nonna was a veal stuffed Ravi with fresh mushrooms. The Frito Misto is made fresh to order. The deserts were good with the butterscotch pudding a true surprise. To top off this fun meal as we were leaving the manager chased us into the parking lot to welcome us to the area giving us a free bottle of their olive oil.
