Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

If you don't like thin, NY style pizza, head elsewhere. Otherwise, this place should be right up your alley. Next to the Pruneyard Camera Cinemas, so you can mack on pizza while watching a flick. Table seating is very limited. My biggest beef is that they're a little pricey, but the combos are a decent deal. Look for coupons and use your frequent eater card.

We ate it tonite! I've been to SC, Capitola, Willow Glen and now Campbell's. They're all wonderful, truly amazing pizza!

pizza is good 40% of the time, the pies sit under heat lamps for who knows how long... you need to be lucky and get one fresh out the oven

  • Dan H.

I have never had a complaint about their pizza, one of the best in valley. But frankly, I would greatly prefer that they use latex gloves when they are handling the food that goes into my mouth. The hands I see shoveling the pizza are the same hands counting the cash. This is very unsanitary and thoughtless on the part of the management.

Awesome pizza and fantastic delivery service.

Pizza My Heart is consistent, no matter what the location. I like that this one is inside the movie theater and you can take your slice in with you. The only big drawback is that all the times I've gone, the employees seem so unhappy. Don't get me wrong-I don't require sunshine and roses, but when you seem like you hate life or hate your job, and in turn treat me rudely, it doesn't give me any desire to return.

I ate lunch here for $5.25. I'm tempted to say that might just be the cheapest lunch--for decent food--in all of Campbell. I got the greasiest slice of pepperoni I've ever seen, freshly re-heated in the oven, then proceeded to the counter where everything from dried basil to garlic powder to Parmesan to red pepper flakes were available to sprinkle atop my slice to my heart's content (or displeasure, technically speaking). So, 2 grease-soaked napkins later, I was finished and a happy camper. Love the wannabe NY style pizza and will come here regularly because even if this pizza [upsets] my heart...it still makes my wallet and my stomach happy.

  • Chris A.

Typically Pizza my Heart. The crust at this location seems to be a little thinner than others and I guess you could prefer it this way. The sausage tasted a bit off the last time we order from this location. But overall they get the pizza ready very fast and all the staff have really good customer service.

  • Julia C.

I appreciate that this Pizza My Heart is located inside a movie theater and it gives me an option of food if I had no time to eat before seeing a movie. That's why it gets 2 stars instead of 1. I keep hearing about how everyone loves PMH (including my sister) and I don't get it. I've tried it at 3-4 locations at this point trying to figure out why everyone loves it so much. Greasy does not begin to describe it, after 4 napkins the grease is seeping. It's gross. Yes, you can buy pizza by the slice, but there's gotta be another pizza place that will let you do that.

  • Meaghan B.

This chain does pretty well for pizza. Nothing fancy, nothing spectacular, just solid pizza. This particular location is connected with the Camera Cinema at the Pruneyard and you can order your pizza and take it in to your movie with you. Nice!

The pizza is pretty good here but none of the staff bithers to clean up any of the tables not really a chill spot like most pizza joints

Yeah... I am a big fan.. hot, delicious, easy access in and out.. I am not a big pizza fan.. but Pizza My Heart and Mello Mushroom are two of my new favorites~.. and the price is right for this excellent quality. ( I used to have a great slice on Telegraph Av in Berkeley-mmmm) but this was great..

    (4)
  • Stan R.

It's reasonable for its location but the quality is no different than any other "Pizza My Heart". By which I mean its an improvement over Domino's. On the bright side they have plenty of seats and it next to the movie theater. Yet it fells so out of place since pizza is not something I crave at the PrunYard.

    (3)
  • Rolf S.

Pizza is pretty darn good, and you can take it to go into the movie theater! Tops in my book.

  • Trae B.

The pizza is tasty and everything, but SERIOUSLY the past three times I have ordered the hawaaiian slice, the cheese has always been undercooked. It is because the pineapples are heavy; it probably requires a bit more baking time. The caesar salads are awesome. My favorite place for caesar salads. reasonable prices. Thank god my favorite hot sauce is there. Cholula hot sauce is perfect on top of pizza. Especially the hawaiian If the hawaaiin slices improved, I would eat them all the time.

After eating there for the first time last night, I give it 4 stars -1 for having to use a fork&knife and no beer yet =( I spoke to the manager about this,it's in the works) he seemed cool even tho it was closing time but other than that the pizza was good not the best but would have it over any other chain pizza crap and a great buy for $11.25 I got 2 slices and and kid's meal next time I'm going to splurge and get a shirt/slice for 5 bucks.... o, ya and on Tuesdays from 4-8pm kid's can make there own pizzas

  • Laurin A.

Really good pizza. The dough is deliciously thin yet chewy. I love that they have slices since it really makes it easy when you come here with other people. They also have a really good deal with their clip out card. After your first 3 slices you get a free drink, after 3 more you get a salad, and after those 3 you get a free slice. SWEET!

their pesto sauce is excellent. veggies are very fresh. Their pies are light on crust, heavy on toppings.

  • Andres A.

i'm not a huge fan of their pizza, but my wife and kid are so we spend a lot of time here. pizza isn't bad, just not my style. i've always been impressed with the quality of service here, staff are friendly and courteous. i'll definitely be back, probably this week even

One star only due to psycho store manager: When I arrived to pick up my to go pizza I was immediately confronted by a young angry man who informed me in a loud exasperated voice that I was "extremely rude" on the phone while placing my order. He attributed my alleged rudeness to an "awkward silence." I tried to explain to him that an awkward silence doesn't denote rudeness on the part of one person in a phone conversation but is simply a misunderstanding on the part of both parties as to who's turn it is to talk. After a few minutes of ranting he finally admitted that what set him off was my confiding in him that the pizza was for my husband and that I don't eat pizza. I explained to him that this wasn't personal. I just don't do well with wheat and dairy. When I said that this was no one's fault, we both had hard hard days at work, he stomped off saying, "That just proves my point." Warning! If you want to place an order with these guys avoid awkward silences or else! By the way, this guy informed me that he was the manager. Yikes!

I've been to the Los Gatos store and the pizza was good and the counter help extremely friendly and accommodating. The Pruneyard version is sort of like the Bizarro world of Los Gatos. Surly counter help. The young gal behind the counter acted like she was doing me a big favor by giving me the pizza I paid for. When I got home, the pizza was droopy and chewy, like a thin piece of cold Lavash with a spread of tomato paste on it. It's almost like it's a different place. Even if you're going to the movie next door? Avoid this place and eat a hot dog at the theater.

    (1)
  • Ken R.

large thin-crust slice pizza + t-shirt... $5.00. plus, you can take your pizza in to the camera 7 theater and skip the $3 movie dog. nice.

    (5)
  • Eugene F.

Pizza My Heart has an almost cult like following, I swear. It's understandable why people love the pizza: it's pretty good pizza and at $3.25/piece ain't all that bad. I now understand why I see so much Pizza My Heart t-shirts all over the place, that $5 t-shirt with a free slice is a pretty decent price for a gym shirt! Location is kinda weird inside the lobby of the movie theater, but I guess that it gets the job done. Parking is hellish on the weekends, so I recommend parking on the opposite end (closer to Campbell Ave) and walking-in from there.

    (3)
  • Felipe M.

The pizza tastes amazing, the people in the back are mostly awesome. I come here often and it's great except 1 girl in the back, Kelsey, just does not know how to smile or be warm and brings the whole energy down.

    (3)
  • Laleh E.

Pretty greasy, but pretty good. If you're into the grease, definitely try a slice of the pesto pizza. Green, delicious, and soaked. In my experience, people either love this pizza or hate it. Also, they have pretty badass salads in to-go boxes. Always get your card stamped, because it's worth it when you land free food.

  • Christy V.

Yay! A foldable thin-crust pizza! Too often thin-crusts are too hard for folding. Unacceptable. When the pizza's fresh it's great. If it's been sitting for a while it's not as good--though the oven rejuvenates it to a degree. It's super greasy, which is gross and yet delicious--one of those great pizza mysteries. This location is intended to support the movie theater, so it doesn't deliver--but it does provide better movie food than the standard hot dogs and nachos. The service is... well, variable. What can you really expect from a minimum wage-paying pizza stand? I've found if you can resist staring disdainfully at the facial piercings of the 19 year-old dif-dif girls they're friendlier and quicker to help. I know, weird, huh? Anyway, I love it. Not perfect, but a slice or two with a coke at one of their outdoor tables on a nice day? One of my favorite ways to spend a half-hour.

    (4)
  • Roman V.

Great thin crust pizza that you can order whole or by the slice. I almost always pig out and go for 3 slices, I just can't help myself. They just added some booths so there is a little more seating. If you're craving pizza and are in the area check them out.

  • Anthony V.

I work in the building facing pizza my heart, and this is a weekly lunch stop for me. I'm in love with their big sur and their combo slices. The pizza is always fresh and you can request it extra crispy! What puts this particular one over the edge is that they're not skimpy with their toppings as I've seen with the other 4 Pizza my Heart's that I've been to. Two thumbs up for them.

    (5)
  • Daniel G.

The pizza here is ok. I'm not totally blown away by it, but it does come out fast and fills me up for lunch. The salads are pre-packaged and just ok also. There aren't many good places to sit inside, so best to eat outside in the patio area. It's too bad you can't take your pizza slice into the cinema next door to eat while your watching a movie.

Firstly, you'll never find a bigger proponent of Pizza My Heart than me. That being said, this location disappoints me. Not enough to not be happy for this location near my house, but unhappy enough to dock them their fifth star. Bottom line, Pizza My Heart makes the best pizza in the South Bay. All locations have the perfectly seasoned and textured crust, the ratio of cheese to sauce to crust is proportional, and the toppings are flavorful and interesting. This location has two attributes that bother me. Firstly, no delivery. So, living in Westside San Jose or Campbell you won't deliver me the only good pizza that is produced within several miles...cool. That angers me. With that strategy, you'd think that they have an awesome location that makes it worth it...not the case. Middle of the Pruneyard is hard to get to. Poor excuse for a dining room is small and they don't sell beer. Lame. But it is still...let me think...96 million times better than any other chain pizza in the South Bay. Another benefit, if anybody you're with ever thinks that you should make the biggest mistake of your life and go to Hobee's, at least you can campaign for Pizza My Heart next door.

    (4)
  • Ron G.

One star subtracted because Pruneyard parking BLOWS and it's the only PMH that does not deliver. (grr!) Pizza my heart is my current favorite pizza in the South Bay. Contrary to other reviews, the sauce and the ingredients are top-notch and perfectly balanced - not bland at all. More times than not, I opt for the beautiful simplicity of the cheese slice. The best thing about the place is the size of the slices - perfect dimensions for eating "foldy-style." And what's the problem with the re-heating? It's pizza for chrissake - cheese, sauce, and bread. It's not a souffle. They par-bake the slices and then finish them as they are ordered. One guy said something about heat lamps? WTF? I've never seen a heat lamp at ANY of the locations - the pies go into an oven with an open gas flame that heats the pizza near instantly. They've got great beers on tap, the pre-made salads are the bomb, and I can hit Coffee Society's free WiFi even from inside. I usually don't mess around with buy x get x free cards, but I've got wallet full of frequent eater cards that I am saving to cash them all in at once and take a few of my buddies to lunch.

An amateur pizza place with blonde employees. Yeah i would give 2 stars for their beauty but their pizza is just the worst pizza ever. Too oily and it doesnt even look or taste like a pizza. Now I know why they always hire blonde girls for pizza my heart stores! Because otherwise they would go Bankrupt. the power of beauty. ( will never go back )

it brings back memories of when i was a lil dude in capitola, and would stop by the one in the village on minimum-days when i was at new brighton middleschool. a slice and a coke was less than $2. there was just 1. Now there are all over the place. its 20+ years later and now im just 2 blocks from one and can blaze up on my bike and get my fix, or flashback if you will. i always order my slices extra crispy (longer oven time) so that its not only nice and crispy, but hot, and any condiments you throw on just melt immediately into it. i've had them all. mushroom, pesto, .. etc.. the hawaiian is wins, so is straight up pepperoni. they changed the pepperoni, for the good. i like the smaller, spicier type (amici's uses it too) than the traditional one you find on most other places. the quality isnt like it was back when, but its not lost it for the worse. i just remember it being tons better, before it went chain on us. *le sigh* still fantastic pizza. and super happy they're all over the place so i can get a lil taste of Home! and where can you just get a Slice without having to order a whole pie?

  • Ty R.

The pizza here isn't terrible, but contrary to what some people have said, it's not east coast pizza at all. It does bear some similiarities, i.e. actually looking like a pizza and not a fruit pie that your grandma made, but it has all the standard California pizza problems. Bland rubbery crust, bland sauce, bland cheese. Those 3 things make up the pizza. The toppings don't do it. The reason we eat plain pizzas on the east coast is because the pizza is so good that it doesn't need anything. A plain from Pizza My Heart would be tasteless. I got one with olives and feta, and it was pretty good. But if you want real pizza, Vitos in Sunnyvale is your only option. p.s. I know this all sounds like pizza snobbery, but we do know pizza in NJ. I wouldn't argue with a Japanese person about good sushi, so don't argue with me about pizza, capice? :)

  • Shannon N.

Handy location with the Camera Cinemas right there - gonna see a movie, grab a slice before the show. It's the pre-made pizza thing where they re-heat your slice when you order, but it's still tolerable. Thin crust ain't the best thing in the world, but they do it ok.

  • Aubrey M.

these people are amazing! i work for a company in the Pruneyard, and come here all the time for lunch... on at least 5 separate occasions i can count... i have walked into (or have been waiting for my slice to warm while) people yelling, complaing, and making a ruckus... these guys handle it very pleasantly and deserve more praise... you guys rock!!!! oh... the pizza's good too!!!

Pizza My Heart is really one of my favorite places to go for lunch or dinner. I like having options and you get tons of them at PMH. I usually get the veggie or the combo and sometimes I get the Hawaiian or the D-Lex Special. The slices are big and tasty. And if you are on a budget, they have a Frequent Eater card. After the first 4 slices, you get a free drink.. then the second 4 slices you get a free salad, and after 4 more slices you get a free slice. They also have another special of $5 gets you a shirt and a slice.

This place meets the ulitmate test - the East Coast pizza snob. My wife is from the East Coast and wouldn't eat NY-style thin crust in California because she says that the "do it wrong" out here. This is one of two places in South Bay my picky wife will eat NY-style pizza (the other being Amici's) without complaining through the whole meal.

    (5)
  • Melissa J.

The pizza was good, but not fantastic. I've heard alot of praise for this place since i've moved here so I went to see what all the hoopla was about. It was alright, but the service was pretty mediocre (led by a team of high school students eager to go home. I came 20 minutes before closing, and they basically made me scarf down my food so they could get the hell out of there.

Not a bad idea to have this as part of a movie theater. You get to eat pizza while watching a movie. However, this Pizza My Heart is much greasier than the other ones.

We've ordered from here for the past three years and had no problems until today. I placed an online order at 9:50am for two pizzas and soda for our movers for lunch to be delivered at 11:45am. At 11, they called to tell me they had just received my online order and could not accommodate me because they had a very large order. They said it would be an hour later, which will not work for us. I asked to speak to the manager, but he said the same thing. I asked if we could just come pick it up, and he said that it would not even be baked until the later time. So it wasn't just his driver, like he originally said. There was no trying to accommodate us, they just wanted to push my order back. I asked for a refund because they had already charged my card. I ordered a pizza at Bibo's in WG instead. They always take care of us. If you have an online ordering system set up, maybe you shouldn't have one that has such a delay in receiving the orders. Or like other restaurants, have it block out order times if you are booked at that time. I ordered two hours ahead of time, and now I'm left disappointed. I have movers here that are working hard and are hungry. If my order was a problem, it would have been nice to know as soon as I placed it.

Pizza My Heart is a place I'd come to if I wanted to grab a quick slice of pizza to-go. Service is friendly, pizza's are about $3-$4 and pretty good. I got the chicken, bacon, mushroom one and that one is very tasty. I've had some pizza's that are on the thinner side and some on the thicker side. I guess it just depends how they make it that day/how much toppings there are on it. Slices are decently sized, some larger than others so make sure you tell them which piece you want! The pizza/salad combos are also really good and anywhere from $7-$9ish. I like the Greek salad. This Pizza My Heart actually connects to the movie theater from the left side. If you can't find it, go inside the theaters (it's on the left), or there's also a separate entrance on the very left side. Because it's inside the theaters, be ready for the smell of popcorn... For all you big pizza lovers, it's definitely not the best pizza, but it's pretty good for the price!

My favorite pizza chain. I grew up in Santa Cruz, which means I grew up on their version of NY style thin crust pizza. I'm extremely happy to see their growth, and now I can find them everywhere. This Campbell location is wonderful and attached to a movie theatre, nothing like getting a great slice before or after the show

When Boswell's was open and I always used to come and grab a slice or two. Since then, my girlfriend and I have ordered from you folks several times, last time being Tuesday for delivery 06/09/15. I'm happy to report that everything is still all good and that everything is always on point.

First off, SO DIFFICULT TO FIND. I am not fromt the area, and was staying in San Jose for New Year's, and I have had Pizza My Heart when I have traveled to the Bay Area before, and remembered it being so yummy. Anyways, this location is in an outdoor mall/shopping center tucked right next to the movie theater. After driving around twice and just not finding it, I just parked and walked. After finding a directory, I realized that I had parked on the opposite side, so I had to walk around the whole place in the cold, whatever. I order the Big Sur, remembering the loads of garlic from before and just how tasty it was. They were a little busy, and I had to wait awhile, but no big deal, the guys working there were friendly enough. Finally digging into the pizza, it was okay. Still good, just not great. I don't know, maybe it had something to do with the fact that it was NYE and they were super busy. I will try again next time I'm in the area, but perhaps not this location.

The worst Pizza My Heart I've ever been to. At lunchtime, they literally only had two selections. The girl "helping" us was exceptionally rude and acted like I was totally inconveniencing her by ordering a slice of pizza that had clearly been sitting out for hours. I was excited to get a shirt here - they have that $7 deal for a shirt and a slice. But when I asked for a small shirt, she said they were out - she didn't even check, nor apologize. Ummm, maybe restock and not advertise for a deal you can't fulfill....? Worst part was that my vegetarian pizza slice was soggy, cold and tasted like cardboard with burned vegetables on top. When I picked it up to take a bite, everything fell off and my pizza literally ripped in half. Such a waste of $4! Take a cue from your Palo Alto and Los Altos counterparts and get it together, Pizza My Heart Campbell.

The chicken and bacon pizza here can never disappoint. Fast service and delicious cheap food. What else can I ask for? Also, don't forget your stamp card. The more stamps the merrier. Free soda, salad, and a slice of pizza?! I'm in!

Pizza is okay pretty basic and quick! You can purchase by the slice. Service is friendly and nice. This is a smaller location however You can bring into the Camera 7 theater which is attached!

Too thinly sliced pizza but great employees! The ambience was very casual and the food was great. You can get refills and if you want more slices you can just come up and buy another.

Well, whoever's pizza we got was tasty. First mistake, ordering online. They quoted us an hour and it was over 1 hour and 30 min. Then, we got the wrong pizza. They offered to make us a new one, but having taken forever, we were starving and ate the one they delivered. Thankfully we will be getting a refund

Meh. I've experienced better.... guess that sums it up at this particular Pizza My Heart. Was in the area today and stopped by for a slice. Wanted their veggie combo and the guy stated 'we don't have it at the moment, it will be 10 minutes before we can get it out of the oven'. Well, I don't want to wait 10 minutes for a slice of pizza... I just had a slice of another veggie pizza (I usually order a chicken pizza as there is less fat, but their chicken pizza also has bacon...) It was probably the thinnist slices of pizza I've ever had. I like New York style pizza, but maybe a little thicker crust. The overall taste was OK. I think their Los Gatos location is better with more ordering variety. (I know this is a smaller version next to the movie theater) Last time I was at the LG location, my friend has one greasy slice... (Watch out for those combo's)...

The pizza is pretty good, but the service is generally terrible. Seems like they go out of their way to hire high school kids who either ignore you or have an attitude. And they rarely have plain cheese pizza, which is all my 5 year old will eat. I won't be going back.

My fav pizza mmmmmmmm love thin sliced and they do it the best here could eat 4 pieces ! And shark bait sauce yummy . Hate it though when I go in and they don't have what I want ready and I have to wait . . Why when they get low they don't start making a new pizza is beyond me . . But other then that deliousious been eating there since I was in jr high in Santa Cruz !

Let me start out by saying I LOVE PIZZA MY HEART. Just not this location. The pizza is always black on the bottom, but the crust doesn't rise, and cook properly before they serve it. I don't think the oven gets hot enough. Every other Pizza My Heart I visit (Saratoga, Willow Glen, Capitola) makes perfect pizza! It's one of my favorite pizza places, period.

Does the world really need another review for Pizza My Heart? Probably not but I'm trying to meet a self imposed review quota here, people ... This location is great in that it's located right next door to Camera 7 which is the theater of choice for me and the boyfriend. It's now become customary for us to meet an hour early, grab a slice at PMH and then see a show. I'm a diehard Hawaiian fan so that's always my choice. Although I'm usually a thick crust kinda girl, I *love* PMH's crust. That's some tasty stuff. They're generally generous with the toppings as well. Service is fast and there's always somewhere to sit and enjoy your slice. One thing I'm not crazy about though, is that once they've heated your slice they'll just yell out "Hawaiian slice". I'm never really sure if I'm actually taking MY slice or stealing someone elses. In fact, the first time I went there I just sat at the table as they repeatedly called my order. After all, my name isn't Hawaiian Slice, it's April.

I love thin crust pizza. I usually just get slices . Its hit or miss on the selection. The big sur is really good , but geez thats a lot of cloves of garlic. My fave is the watsonville. The granny smith apples and blue cheese crumbles go well together. Oh and he spice bomb is good on any pizza. Get a stamp card. Its worth it.

Pizza My Heart is always good. This location is small and connected to the theater, but that doesn't bother me much. I love that on Valentines day you can order a heart shaped pizza, and I'm all about mixing and matching slices to my particular cravings.

This Pizza My Heart location is a small pizza join squished in next to the movie theater. You can park in the general parking lot or parking garage for free and walk in using the theater or pizza doors. You can take your pizza into the theater. The menu is like all the other Pizza My Heart locations: Deal with a slice, soda and salad, slices by themselves or full pizzas of standard sizes. The pizza is thin crust with the standard toppings. The theme inside the shop is surfing, like the other chain stores. Full soda dispenser plus some teas make up your beverage choices and you can grab toppings to eat in or to go. I've worked in the Pruneyard Towers for over 10 years and moved to other corporate offices in Campbell for years, so its no exaggeration to say I and my co-workers were eating here the first week they were open. We have been consistent customers for years and today I thought to myself: I outta Yelp these guys. Well, here's today's tip to the Pizza staff: SAY THE WORDS "THANK YOU" IF A CUSTOMER SPENDS MONEY IN YOUR JOINT. The staff (who I hadn't worked with before) was somewhat rude, bordering on surly. They didn't want to fulfill my normal order, stating that single slices couldn't be ordered on the phone. Oh really? What about my last 6 months - 1 years worth of orders? Didn't bother to say thank you, didn't ask for a credit card to hold my order and was downright SURLY when I went to pick up my order. They overcharged me, and refunded me without a word of apology Here's another tip to the young girl at the register with the attitude: Yes, I know you are busy and I know you think you are cute. But *I* am paying your salary. Therefore I also can take your salary and spend it elsewhere. Remember that when your raise is smaller than you'd like. Hoping that they improve their employees attitudes, otherwise, it's time to find a new pizza joint.

Went today with my girlfriend and her two little nephews. Place was dead so we thought we'd just order a 14 inch pizza and be out the door in no time. Ordered and the girl cashiering said it would be about a 15 minute wait which was no biggie really. Two girls proceeded to order after us and sat down a few seats from us. After awhile another employee came out with a box and gave it to my girlfriend and since this was the first time we had ever ordered a whole pizza we just assumed it was ours. We turned around and made maybe 2 steps before the first cashiering girl called out my name from when I told it to her during the ordering. She then said that the pizza wasn't ours and told us we ordered a medium and this was a small in a very belittling voice. So my girlfriend returned the pizza to the counter and the cashier girl didn't even touch it, she waited for one of the girls to return from the bathroom. When she did return and went to go to get the pizza the cashier stated quite loudly "oh the girl over there touched it I'm sorry about that" and then proceeded to OFFER a free pizza because we TOUCHED THE BOX. The girl said it was not a big deal and the cashier ONCE AGAIN offered a freed pizza because we went 2 FEET touching the BOX. Needless to say being mere inches away from that interaction made us feel like lepers. When our pizza finally was ready I made it a point not to be friendly with our denouncer and grabbed my box from her without so much as saying thank you. From that experience I think its safe to say we will purchase pizza from our own kind from now on, like a leper colony.

The pizza was great and the salads were good. I would not recommend their chicken wings because they were average at best...Domino's Pizza has better wings. The biggest reason I gave them 3 stars is because of the customer service. The person taking our order must have been in a rush to leave on a Wednesday night as they did not want to deliver (even though they closed in 45 + mins). They were out of most of their salads and the person who was taking the order did not even know what other items the company sold. After ordering 1 Salad (they charged us for 2) and wings the person on the other line said "Are you going to actually order a pizza, or what?". Extremely rude. I liked their ranch and blue cheese. Again the Pizza was great but their other items and customer service (on the phone) drops it down a start or two.

service was great. Order some pizzas and a bit of the crust was burnt. The store manager makes it up by giving away free slices when I told her it was ok. I wasn't expecting any free but it shows they care to make wrong into right. I didn't ask for her name but the store manager was a young lady. Good job.

This is one of those pizza places where it looks and sounds good and then you eat it. Ugh. I got two slices. Ate one and threw the other away. It was stinking up the hotel room and reminding me of how much it didn't agree with me. Disgusting. The place was busy, tho. Kind of like how Chucky Cheese is busy and you wonder why anyone eats there. This is not the place for people who enjoy real pizza. I see someone mentioned that other locations may be better than the Pruneyard. I would believe that. The food here at Pruneyard, in general, is not good.

Pizza My Heart is one of the Bay Area's best pizza spots for your New York-style pizza. I've been to this and several other Pizza My Heart locations, and the experience is pretty similar. When you walk in, you'll notice a pretty simple, laid-back California surfer atmosphere. There are pictures of waves, the beach, and surfboards all about the restaurant. Tables and booths are available to sit and munch on your pizza. You start by ordering at the counter, and I've always found the folks who served me to be very friendly and pleasant to interact with, whether I interacted with them at the counter or over the telephone to place my order. Pizza My Heart certainly has some good people working for them. They sell pizza both by the slice as well as full pies. My sincerest recommendation: order the full pie. I've always been disappointed when I ordered a slice, and I find it to be a bit crunchy. A whole pie has never disappointed me, though, and that's when the flavors come alive in your mouth. Overall, Pizza My Heart is a wonderful Northern California (mostly Bay Area) franchise. It has a wonderful Californian vibe to it, and wonderful flavors to go along with it.

I love that they are attached to the movie theater (cool theater) and that you can take the pizza into the theater without paying any more than you normally would. The pizza could use some work though, but it was decent.

  • Kari M.

All Pizza My Hearts are NOT created equal. :( I wonder if it's because of the location inside the entrance to the theater? Whatever the reason, they don't have near the selection of pizza as other locations I've been to. They are extremely small, so don't go during lunch hours, otherwise you will NOT get a seat. Even the pictures on the wall aren't as good as other locations. :( I wish you were better Pizza My Heart. I do not Heart this location.

Typical Pizza My Heart food. This means: AMAZING pizza (best I've ever had), friendly atmosphere, decent prices, and the ability to also get cool t-shirts and solid salads. This location is in the Pruneyard Mall. It's pretty small, with only a few tables and a small little counter area. The neat thing about it, though, is that it's attached to a movie theatre. This means that you're actually ALLOWED to go buy your pizza and take it into the show with you (as opposed to the usual 'sneak it in' methods of other places...) Parking, and really just navigating the parking lot, is a huge hassle here, but oh well. Get a punch card: - Buy 3 slices, get a free drink. - Buy another 3 slices, get a free salad. - Buy another 3 slices, get a free slice. Repeat.

This pizza here is definitely above average. They have great pizza slice and salad combos. The staff is friendly. Order came out hot and faster than they estimated. They use biodegradable utensils and recycled paper products which also gets a thumbs up from me. I may not go out of my way to eat here again but if I felt like eating pizza and was within 5 miles of one of their locations, they would definitely get my vote.

This was my first visit to Pizza My Heart and I was very disappointed with their slices. I ordered one of their combos (slice/salad/drink) and an extra cheese slice for my son. I understand that they have to reheat the slices in the oven; but for me there was barely enough sauce and cheese, they were dried out. I'll have to say that their packaged salad was very fresh, so I'll have to give them credit for that. Maybe their made-to-order pizzas are better...

There's always a debate about NY-style pizza and what's good and what's not. I've went to New York and yes, they have good pizza there. But, they also have bad pizza there! Just because it's in New York, doesn't mean it's good. The bottom line is I LOVE pizza. Whether it's NY-style, Chicago-style, Pizza Hut, Domino's, or Genos pizza rolls! The pizza here is thin crust and whether you think that's NY style or not, it is good! You can buy it by the slice and they have a decent variety. The customer service has always been good, too. What else can I ask for? The only down sides, and they've never been a problem for me, is the seating and parking. The seats are limited and since there are a lot of other business around the shop, parking can be scarce. All in all, my experiences at Pizza My Heart have always been good and it will keep coming back for more!

Pretty good pizza... They don't have much of selection tho. I love pizza and their pizza is ok to me. I'm too use to the pizza parlors in The northeast. The food and staff here good tho... Good food, friendly staff and nice environment.

It has to be said, I really LOVE Pizza My Heart pizza. It's always better ordered fresh, but when it's just me and the hubster, we tend to get single slices. It's soooo tasty! And the quality is pretty standard among the different locations. This one is a little less that I thought it would be. The store is small and a little cramped. It's in a great location, right next to the Pruneyard's movie theater. And, the service was good. I don't have anything particularly negative to say, other than the slices we ordered were a little less than fresh, which is to be expected. I'm sure we'll be back, but my fave location so far is a toss up between Cupertino and Downtown SJ.

So it was cold and we were wandering around this plaza for a quick bite before our movie which was about to start in 30 minutes. Everything else, but Togo's and Tandoori Oven (which I had previously visited and thought mediocre), was a sit-down restaurant. I don't recall ever having Pizza My Heart but I might have... it was the most convenient place, both location and price, where I wouldn't have to rush. It's in a MOVIE THEATER people!! Expect little. The bf and I split a Cowell's Combo (which is basically a regular combination pizza), D'Lex Chicken & Bacon, and a Pesto slice. Those three looked the most appetizing behind the glass. Well the artichoke looked good too but I've always encountered tartness when it comes to artichoke pizzas and I wasn't in the mood of being risky. The Cowell's Combo was delicious. The pepperonis curled up in a way that only happens with frozen pizzas so I'm not sure how that happened. On the online menu it says it comes with bell peppers but there weren't any and I was fine with that. There were many, whole cloves of roasted garlic which you will love or hate. This was the greasiest slice of the three but the grease held all the ingredients together and increased the flavor. The D'Lex Chicken & Bacon was the most packed of the three but the toppings kept falling off. They were also a little dry. The Pesto was the simplest of the three but the pesto was medium-chunky which I liked--pine nuts were still intact. Pesto was strong and stuck in certain areas. You can spread it around more for a more even distribution and to flavor the crust. Like someone already mentioned, there is a stamp card so with our three slices of pizza, we got a free drink. The college girl scooping up our pizzas for reheating looked very indifferent but the guy who ran up our order was friendly. The total for 3 slices + 1 free soda = $11.85. For greasy chain-type pizza, it's better than Sbarro's. I would probably give Sbarro a 3 so I'm giving this place a 4. Man I wish Yelp was on a 10-star scale.

So, being Italian and having actually been to Italy, I am very picky about my pizza. I believe there are different styles of pizza and I love them all... I never though Pizza My Heart would every be as good as it is, I guess I didn't get a great first impression of them. I'd say it's probably and east coast kind of style, thin but not too thin, large slices and full of flavor. I have been going there for about a year now and my favorite is the pepperoni, sprinkled with a little parmigiana and oregano! To die for!! Its always ready and I can get as many slices as I want, although this weekend we are going to pickup a whole pie to go. I will have to say my favorite location is in Downtown Willow Glen, however, this one is really convenient. It's a little small, so I would recommend it for taking to go, or for a quick bit, not a day when you want to relax and eat. PS.. It's always best fresh, but just the same consistency between locations is pretty good. Happy eating! :)

Selection: Limited, but everything I've had here - from plain cheese to the Big Sur - has been quite yummy. The pre-made slices are even more limited, and it's total luck of the draw whether they'll have a slice of what you want. Also, this is a small location, so they usually only have two pizzas worth of single slices hanging out. Location: Odd, borderline awkward. The location is small (which most PMH are, but this one is especially SMALL. four booths, two tables, two 1/2 table booths) and the seating is very smooshed. It's attached to the movie theater, which is cool for people watching. Parking: Sucks. There are a lot of popular businesses here, with the parking capacity to realistically cover half of them. Not so bad on a weekday, but weekends are a bleeding madhouse. Food: Like I said earlier, everything I've had is yummy. PMH has the right pizza equation worked out - not too thick or doughy, crispy crust with a little chewiness inside, and delicious, fresh toppings. They also have well-priced, pretty decent salads. Plus, I love the Spice Bomb mix they have *ohm nom nom* Overall: Yummers. Definitely better than going to the PMH at the mall, just wish the location was a little roomier so we didn't have to pause between every bite to apologize for our daughter's flying stuffed animals beaning the neighboring patrons.

I live near here and come offen to this one and Willow Glen(WhereI work)this is the worst I've eaten here and I bought people with me from out of town, what a disappointment.Took awhile to wait while they made a new one (but I'm used to that not a problem) then they forgot 1, everyone else done when I got mime.Very weak staff, even tho they were busy and some were new,but really, you guys are aways busy..Pizza burn around edges, and on bottom, just not up the the Pizza My Heart standard I'm used.

This location is right inside the Cinema 6 theater in the Pruneyard shopping center. The best thing about this location is that you can take whatever you order inside the theater-:) My husband and I did just that last night. The pizza is thin crust and large. I thought the pizza was really good and better than the pizza at other locations I've tried. The girl who took our order messed it up though. We ordered two slices of pepperoni and mushroom pizza and ended up getting one slice of pepperoni pizza and one slice of pepperoni and sausage pizza. If you are particular about what you get or have allergies, check the box before you leave. I like most toppings on my pizza except for pineapple and anchovies, so I just ate the sausage and pizza one. The pepperoni was nice and spicy, just how I like it. My husband on the other hand doesn't care for spicy food of any kind so he picked most of it off. Don't get the pepperoni slice if you don't like hot pepperoni. He didn't like it, but IMHO, it was very tasty!

My BFF and our armies decided to head to the movies one day. Since we couldn't wait with THAT many kids, we decided to head to Pizza My Heart. I have been hooked ever since. I swear it is the best pizza I've ever had (except for the pepperoni). I LOVE it! I told my teenager she needed to get a job here, so we'd get the leftover pizza at night. She said no because then she'd gain weight too. *sigh*

I absolutely love this pizza!!!!! More specifically, the mushroom pizza rocks my world! I can eat a whole large by myself! It's better than any other pizza I've had. If only pizza were healthy and not so calorie dense, I would eat this all the time!!

Where should I start? How's about the phone call for delivery. The gal on the phone was polite. Said to expect our pizza in about 45 min. But did it get here in 45 min? Nooo. It was here in 27 min flat. On Halloween evening, no less! And with a smile. Now for the taste test...I was pretty excited about this amazing pizza that my sister had raved about. Wow, that really was thin pizza. It tasted alright. My sister however loves the taste of the cheese and the way that they squirt little swirls of sauce throughout. "And the amazingly thin crust!"
