I came here to grab sandwiches for dinner, and they really messed up my order! The place was empty and I was the only customer, so I was really shocked and surprised. Since I got the sandwiches to go, I couldn't really do anything about it afterwards. I ordered a Le Grand Roast Beef sandwich for my boyfriend (Seaded sourdough roll with roast beef, horseradish sauce, cheddar, red onion, lettuce, tomato, and dijon mustard). I told them to leave out the horseradish sauce, red onion, and dijon mustard. I ordered a California Fresh for myself (Dutch Crunch Roll with turkey breast, avocado, lettuce, jack cheese, red onion, tomato, mayo, and dijon mustard). I told them to leave out the red onion, mayo, and dijon mustard. When my pager was ringing, I walked over to pick up my order. I noticed no one was there to check..lol. I peeked inside the bag and saw 2 sandwiches with 2 bags of Lays chips. Since I was the only customer, I knew it had to be my order. When my boyfriend was eating his sandwich, I noticed there was dijon mustard inside! Both our sandwiches were missing tomatoes! My sandwich had red onion, even though I told them to leave it out. They even forgot to give us our pickle with our sandwiches..lol. My California Fresh sandwich was ok. I could barely taste the avocado, since there was a tiny slither inside my sandwich. The dutch crunch roll tasted a bit stale, too. Overall, I don't plan to come back to this Le Boulanger. The service is pretty bad considering they can't make the sandwiches correctly.

Parking is tough but overall Le Boulanger is pretty consistent in all locations. They make good sandwiches and soups. This is a regular in my weekday lunch rotation. I've also had to order in lunch for work and this place has great boxed lunches for such the occasion that I highly recommend.

I made a second trip here during my three weeks in California and the second time was quite pleasant. I find the sandwich I got here to be fresher and not as "out of a box" tasting as things I get from Panera. Not to bad mouth Panera in a review for a competitor, but the chicken they use for their sandwiches and salads comes out of a plastic bag, pre cooked and looks and tastes like it. Not sure where Le Boulanger gets their meats for their sandwiches but it's tasty. And I felt a warm fuzzy that one of the managers was cool enough to reach out to me, not to complain or defend, but to show they really care about your experience here. Kudos.

I ordered the turkey and chicken pesto sandwich, and it was subpar at best. The meat was cold and the cheese wasn't melted enough, but I wouldn't really expect much of a cold sandwich off the hot sandwich menu. The service was decent; tables needed to be cleaned quicker IMO. Price would've been fair if the sandwich was better. Honestly, it's not worth spending your 8 hard earned dollars on these sandwiches when there so many better and higher quality sandwiches out there for the same price. I'm giving this place 2 stars only because the bread was good, otherwise it would have been 1 star. It is safe to say I will not be coming back to this place anytime soon

I am kind of in love right now. Their California fresh sandwich or whatever it is called is pretty much amazing. Even though it cuts my mouth up to pieces and I literally can taste blood along with my Dijon- I LOVE it. There is something extremely satisfying and yummy about Dijon mixed with Turkey and avocado. I could probably exist off those three ingredients. I did have the primavera salad the other day and that shit was also tasty- but I prefer to have my whole sandwich and gorge. Yes it is a little bit pricey and yes the service is not that nice- but I do not freaking care, I need my sandwich.

Very quickly, this has replaced Togo's as my favorite spot for pastrami sandwiches. Portions are average but you can really tell that they use quality ingredients here. I also had a side of the clam chowder which was quite tasty. Prices are reasonable and there's plenty of seating, although tables do become scarce during peak lunch time crowds. I can't wait to come back and have another!

Went here yesterday with my co-worker and loved it!! The sammies were fresh and yummy. I had the pastami sammie....mmmm...mmm... It's been along time since I have been here, and I should and will come back more often!! The service was lickety-split!! Happy eating!

For some reason this branch is terrible. The bread seemed stale and overall everything just wasn't that good.

Almond croissant with almond paste filling. very filling! Italian Fritata. Need 2 normal size people to finish it up! It's quite filling just eating half!! We came at 11am, right before the crazy lunch people! :D

It took them 20 minutes to ladle a cup of soup and slice a baton of baguette for my coworker. I ordered a spinach al fresco salad. Online it is described as fresh baby spinach with bacon, tomato, mushrooms, hard-boiled egg, croutons, sweet herb dressing. I had spinach and half of a hard boiled egg sliced with rock hard croutons, NO BACON, two browning mushrooms, and NO BACON!. How dare you charge that much for a salad and not give me my bacon!!

Came here around 4pm when the cafe is slow with 3 or 4 other customers. Ordered a clam chowder in bread bowl and waited FOREVER. 20 minutes passed by and it still hadn't showed up. Please note that there were maybe 2 customers around at the same time. Went up to the counter and asked about the soup and they totally forgot about my order. Pretty disappointed with their customer service, they tried to make it up by giving me a free pastry. Soup and bread are not bad but definitely not worth the long wait. You get much better service and food at Panera for sure. Don't waste your time coming to this bakery. You won't be impressed.

Always great food - I love the soups! They have new salads that rock. One issue, for me, is that lately the cookies are OVER COOKED, dry, brittle even looking a little burnt

My favorite item on their menu is the California Fresh. I have it whenever I go to any of their locations. I must say, this specific location had come a long way. I stopped coming here about 7 months ago because of the sub-par service. About 2 months ago, a co-worker convinced me to come back, so I decided to give them another try. I recently noticed changes in the managent, and must mention, great choices with the replacements. I've seen 4 managers there and the two new males are fantastic with us, customers, and the two ladies that have been there, they are great as well (too bad I didn't write down their names or I would have mentioned them by name) . Just wanted to give a compliment. And I give them 5 stars for the changes that have been implemented.

Management sucks here! I was ordering these mini sandwiches for a while then they took they off the menu. I went in one day asking about them and they said as long as I order it and they have the items to make it they can make the order .since that I've ordered the mini sandwiches . Then one day I call in an order for the my "usual" and the manager plainly said No we can't do that. I told her what they told me before and she said oh they shouldn't be doing that. Lets all be on the same page. It wasn't really what she said it was how she said it, lol funny I know. Just rude and not apologetic. I know its just a sandwich but I never went back to that location again due to the service.

Listen I have tried and tried and tried and the ONLY item that is made consistently is the roast beef sandwich. Yesterday I had a hot sandwich which was luke warn and the bread was SATURATED with dressing. Today I got a salad which was all romaine (gross) and to add on top of it they gave me the WRONG DRESSING. Seriously how hard is it to train staff on customer service and serving product correctly? And hey...when we get a to go order we assume that you put napkins in the bag...sheesh!

I have been coming to Le Boulanger for years. It's very convenient to grab a quick bite to eat since i work right next to the el paseo location. I have visited the pruneyard location a few times but i can say i will never go back here. First, the service is horrible. Slow, long lines, but the cashiers are friendly and apologetic at least. The sandwiches are dry and produce is very limp and wilted, as if it has been at the bottom of the fridge for multiple days. Romaine lettuce is completely drenched in water, its a dressing on its own. Pastries are somewhat decent, yet overpriced a bit. Even though the prices are the same at every location, this location just doesnt deserve high prices with crappy service. My order was messed up completely, don't know if it was the cashiers fault or the people making the sandwiches, all i know is this isn't the first time this has happened. When i pointed out my sandwich was incorrect, they were very unfriendly and rude when it came to fixing it. I ordered the chicken and bacon with extra honey mustard, when i got my order the 2nd time it was very very dry almost no sauce at all and very skimpy on the bacon. Normally i don't like to ask people to fix my order etc because i know how it is working in the food industry but i had to ask for more honey mustard . When i asked, i apologized and the lady snatched it out of my hand. When i got my sandwich back they put dijon mustard instead (dont know if it was done on purpose or not) Now if this was any other day where i had a lot of time on my hands to wait around for my order to be fixed THREE times, sure maybe id be okay with it, but the thing is this is my lunch break and i surely don't have time to wait for my order to be fixed when it should be right the first time. When i asked to speak to the manager she was very rude/snobby and inconsiderate about the whole thing. I just told her they should pay closer attention the orders that are taken and she gave me so much attitude. She said to me "So what do you want?!" What i want is correct order and a friendly enjoyable environment to sit down and have lunch. But this certainly isn't the place. Would i recommend coming here? Most definitely not. Management sucks and like i said this isn't the first time it has happened. WON'T BE BACK

Loaf of bread + stick of butter = Happy Tracy :) Seriously, whenever I find myself in San Jose I like to hit this place for their sourdough bread. Four of us had lunch here recently and the only lowlight was the French Onion Soup. It was so bad that my friend had to send it back. Thank goodness I had the foresight to order the clam chowder! My main gripe with this place is the cleanliness-they really need to clean off the tables more frequently as it's hard to find a table that's not covered with food/drinks/crumbs/newspapers from the previous patron.

Ever had a tuna smoothie? Just order a tuna salad sandwich from Le Boulanger and you'll get share in the experience. Add a teaspoon of tuna to a cup of mayo and pulse in blender for 5 minutes. Then serve on soft, thinly sliced bread so that everything falls apart upon contact.

My first one-star rating...but well deserved. Can I just say I LOVE Le bou?! I really do. I've been going to the one on Camden for years (and it's still the best one in my opinion...) This one is awful. I've given it chances to prove me wrong...but time and again it fails. Here are two examples of why this is the saddest branch: 1. so i walk over to le boulanger a couple weeks ago to buy a cookie and the girl is ringing it up...and as she's punching in my order she turns to another worker grinding coffee and says, "hey...guess where i found mold!?!! in the back of...." and then looks at me and looks at my cookie and turns back to the girl and whispers, "I'll tell you after." really le bou worker, really?? is that how you win customers over? do they tell you during training the best and worst times to bring up where you found mold growing in the kitchen? i was a little taken aback...but because I love Le bou and want to give it the benefit of the doubt, I went back again... 2. I go back a couple days ago to buy my favorite cookie!!! (the rice crispy chocolate chip)...and I was sooo excited because a) when I bought it I could feel it was warm and soft...the best! and b) no mention of mold during the transaction! hallelujah! ...so as I walk out I think to myself "maybe I was too hard on Le Bou for the whole 'mold mention'...she was probably talking about her own house!" how could i have judged them so harshly?! a few minutes later I break off a piece of cookie..."YUM!!" i exclaim..."so good!" ...until I looked down at the remainder of cookie and see the thickest, longest black hair coming out of the part I broke off. It's literally baked right in!! I take it over to my friend and tell him to "pull on the hair"...and he confirms what i already knew...yep, baked right in. THAT IS FREAKIN' GROSS! So I'm scarred because I love those cookies so much...and they were always a little treat every time I went there. Not anymore. Sick! I take the cookie back and talk to the assistant manager and show her the hair...she says, "ewww"...uh yeah, no kidding. The she asks me if I want another cookie. Seriously?? No I don't another cookie. I want whoever is brushing their hair over the cookie dough batter to stop. Too bad. This branch could be so good. Go somewhere else...anywhere else.

Complaints from everyone. All HOT sandos: Bay shrimp: runny and messy. Too creamy. Pastrami: SUPER salty. I know, it's supposed to be-don't shoot the messenger! Turkey & Chicken sausage: WTF?!? This belongs in a hot dog BUN. Salads: Both spinach and greek were overly drenched. Service: Subpar, burgeoning on moronic.

I had a buy one get one free coupon, and it's very close to our house, so....We walked down for lunch when my sweetie had a half day.I really wanted to like it. I'd been curious about this place for awhile. It's always busy, and there's so many of them. Unfortunately, they struck out with me. I had a turkey sandwich on Dutch crunch. It had no flavor, and was dry. I make better sandwiches at home. Their sweets looked good, but since i had a lot of baking to do that night , i had to pass. The staff seemed nice, and I did like the bread. I'd go back to try their sweets, or to get a loaf of bread.

Called in a big order for my company an hour before i picked things up. Everything was prepared nicely when i got there, friendly service and great food. i racked up points fast using their card. good first experience, i hope it continues. Cam was very helpful, he brought everything to my car for me... and had a great attitude.

Ate here for the first and last time today. the GF wanted to eat sandwich and soup and suggested this place. When we got there, soda machine was out of coke, had to ask 3 times to get the thing fixed. When the order was ready, they gave us the wrong sandwich with one of the orders and then gave attitude when we asked to have the order corrected. Not cool. And i'm not a picky person, really, but this place is a no-go for me. For $25 bucks (2 sandwich/soup meals and a coke) i could think of a lot better things to get for lunch near here.

Delicious! Got an eggplant sandwich on dutch crunch bread, the portion size is really good. Wish I worked in the area as it is a perfect lunch place for under $10, seemed like they had a lot of sandwich options. Was pretty busy since it was in the Pruneyard but that seems normal for the area.

Can I be honest here? God, I hope so. This place has OK food. I like their lunch sandwiches, and the free Wifi is nice too. I have been visiting this establishment for over 4 years with my Uncle's family and my Grandmother. We visit every Sunday. We meet here because it's close, and there never seems to be a crowd. There's never a crowd because most others don't come back. I cannot vouch for weekday visits, but on Sunday mornings, the staff is sleepy and unmotivated. They're just pumping out pre-packaged food with no happiness or spirit whatsoever. This apathy is reflected in the quality of the food and the speed of service. If it was not for the fact that it's so close, I wouldn't ever return. We are currently looking for another location to meet on Sundays.

Le Boulanger at the Pruneyard.. we had breakfast there. 2 soups and shared a shrimp sandwich. the curry soup was great and the tomato soup was so so.. but the sandwich was devine. price wise, ok and its open early enough for breakfast to give a choice between denny's mcdo or bk. healthy food and great choices.

I would not come here again for any reason. The service was poor, the food mediocre at best. I found humor in the wait staff and found it amusing that a woman sitting a table away was sleeping with a sandwich in her hand!

they have an excellent cream of chicken soup. ample chunks of shredded roasted chicken, creamy texture, and full flavor. that in itself deserves 3 stars. as for everything else, you can pass on it. the sandwiches are sloppily slapped together. (try saying that 10 times!) the hot sandwiches are never warmed through completely and the cold sandwiches are skimpy on the meat. the bread is supposedly fresh but i've cut the roof of my mouth on more than one occassion while trying to chomp down on their baguettes. i'd come back just for the cream of chicken soup. too bad everything else repels me.

Le Boulanger has a fairly decent assortment of soups and sandwiches.. I tried the oven roasted margherita s/w and it was okay at best. The tomato soup was too acidic in taste for me. Give this one a miss.

This place is near my work so I come here once in a while for lunch during the weekdays. Le Boulanger always seems to be busy during the lunch hour since it can sometimes be hard to find a table, so it's best to come here early or late to eat. The soups/sandwiches/breads are all fresh and tasty. My favorites are the bay shrimp sandwich and clam chowder. Food comes out pretty fast, and the service people there are nice. The free wifi inside is a plus. There's always a few people there with their laptops punching or clicking away. On the noise scale, it's not too noisy, but it's not completely quiet here either. There's outside seating too, which is nice when it's cool outside. And since it's in the Pruneridge, you shouldn't have too much difficulty finding parking. The only minus I'd give are the prices. Like Panera Bread, their prices are just a tad on the higher side for me. A full sandwich + cup of soup (no drink included) will usually run you about $12. Add a drink and it goes up to over $14. Overall, it's a nice place to have a decent lunch and chill out for a bit.

I'm a big fan of Le Boulanger and their bread. And, this store is a favorite place of mine for a quick bite to eat. I am a little surprised by some of the recent reviews of this store, as I have only had positive experiences; keep up the great work!

I know, this is a rarity for me but in all honesty I have given this place my last dollar bill. Okay, first, when i worked at a nearby office we had the best catering so you can imagine I am ready to give 5 stars if just for having our orders up and running. Next, I usually don't frequent this place and when I do it is just because it is there. Lastly, I have been here many time and will probably never return now if just because of the prices. Okay, why 2 stars On Sunday I go in and the cashier is coughing up a storm ...not a cough-cough but more like she is spreading walking pnuemonia over everything her cough is loud and her voice raspy. Why she is at work I don't know but it was VERY disturbing that a food restaurant would allow her to be at work. Last night I went because they have free wi-fi. I know 6:30pm isn't early or late but the doofus behind the counter wanted to talk more than actually work. now, on to the price I have $8 I would like a sandwich, a drink and maybe something sweet to eat. the sandwich alone is $7 + dollars okay...there is a large portion and high quality bread. So a drink and something sweet to eat...mocha $4 in a small sweet treat $3.50+ was at best ...burnt espresso and dry treat Did they hear there was downturn in the economy? Raising prices doesn't bring people in. This is why people are only getting cheap small cups of regular coffee and your display case is full. So why did they get 2 stars...clean and quiet atmosphere yes I know that is one and the same but it really isn't. missing stars....staff, price, product.

I've always liked Boulanger, but maybe it's because I always only come near Thanksgiving, don't know why. I love their cranberry turkey sandwich. I like that the two stores I've only been to (Alamden Valley and Campbell) have large windows which let the sun in and make you feel warm. The thing about this campbell place is that the inside has a few booth spots which I like. I'm not a huge breakfast sandwich or breakfast eggs person, but I ordered the Italian Frittata sandwich (ciabatta bread, egg omelette, roasted red bell peppers, spinach, provolone cheese and italian sausage -NOTE I do not like regular american breakfast sausage, but this was very well flavored italian sausage). And it was GOOOD. I had that with a hot chocolate drink that was huge and VERY tasty without being overly sweet. I had no problems with the cashier who was very attentive and nice. I couldn't finish it so I save the other half. A day later, I am eating the rest after nuking it for 45 seconds and it smells and tastes just like it did yesterday. mmmm... Oh, and when you want something to go after you've eaten it, they wrapped up my sandwich in paper and put it in a paper bag. I think that's good service for a self-service place.

I've stopped by there a few times, and I only get tea and a bagel, sometime going for seconds. I usually don't have any of their meals because they are overpriced. The service, well, it is what it is. I go there because it allows me to get away from home and into another "office environment". Out of the two in the area, I favor Panera better, since they entered the area a few years ago. Most Le B's seem to be outdated.

I think this place doesn't have as great of reviews as it should because people don't know what to order. Trust me, I LOVE this place so listen closely! Order the California Fresh sandwich and the Indian curry soup. If you still don't like this place, then you must be nuts! :)

The second time I've been here for lunch. I had half a Bay Shrimp melt and a bowl of clam chower soup. You can see I am a creature of habit. When the sandwich came out, I was a little concerned that I might not have enough food because I was on the more hungry side and the sandwich did look a bit small. But in the end it was plenty and I was satisfied. I think my only gripe is the cost...across the street at Erik's Delicafe, it was probably a few dollar cheaper than the equivalent at Le Boulanger. But Boulanger does win in the decor category compared to Erik's...but we're here for the food right?

I've gone here mainly for the breads, but sometimes for the sandwiches. I really like their dutch crunch bread and chocolate croissants. I've had some of their sandwiches and their pretty good, but a bit overprice for what they give you. I would probably come back for both, but much more willingly for their croissants.

The Turkey Cranberry sandwich is great and worth the 12.5 minute average wait it takes for them to make it "to go". Compared to Subway this is NOT fast food sandwich making! They need some extra bodies.

With so many choices in the Pruneyard, what shall draw you to Le Bou? Parking: The sole thing that shall not. Good parking karma! You'll need it. My faves: -Iced tea! Plus, they even have lemonade light here so you can make your own iced tea lemonade! The inside is cool on a hot summer day, and an icy cold tea is a bonus! -Their butternut squash soup that is seasonal is the best I've ever tasted. -Plenty of seating here. Pick a table. Many are near the windows, which are all glass you can people watch if you please. -Always solid quality bread and baked goods So, if you can find parking with the many retailers including Marshall's, Trader Joe's, and a number of others Le Bou is a great stop!

As someone who works in the Pruneyard I find myself coming here on my 30 minute lunch break a lot. There is so much to be said about what is wrong with this location. First off, timing is always a disaster. 9 times out of ten when I come here on my break, I order soup and 9 times out of ten they take forever to give it to me (even when it's not busy). Before I know it my break is almost over. I don't understand why it takes 15+ minutes to get the soup out of the kitchen. If you're in a time crunch and want a salad or sandwich you might as well forget about it because even the simplest menu item has proven to be a challenge for the employees here. The employees here need to focus more on serving the customers and less on chatting in the kitchen. The amount of times they've gotten my order wrong is astonishing considering I always get it to go and it's always the same people working when I come in. The other negative is that the actual food itself is just so so. This might be due to the fact that every time I walk in here the smell of something burning invades my nostrils. This honestly makes me question how sanitary the kitchen is because kitchen appliances that haven't been cleaned in a long time could be the root of this problem. If anything you'd expected an overcooked item to be too hot but when I've ordered sandwiches they're always just warm. Soup on the other hand is so hot that it burns your tongue. And for the quality/quantity of food you're getting, the prices are a joke. $10 for a salad? $5 for a cup of soup? I don't think so! 2 stars is generous for this le boo location since it's so flawed. I hate to leave bad reviews but this place is an embarrassment to the le boo franchise. Either go to another location or do yourself a favor and go to Panera instead.

***3.5 stars*** my friend and i came here for a quick brunch after completing a long run on the nearby los gatos creek trail. while the pruneyard shopping center has no shortage of restaurants, most of them do not serve breakfast or brunch, so we were happy to see le boulanger, a bay area chain that opens fairly early in the morning and has a nice selection of breakfast items including an assortment of breads, muffins, croissants, danishes, fruit, oatmeal, and egg sandwiches. i ordered the vegetable medley omelette sandwich which consisted of egg, monterey jack cheese, spinach, mushroom, avocado, red onion, red peppers on sliced sourdough bread. my special request was to have egg whites only and no cheese on the sandwich, both of which were honored without an additional charge. for $5.95, this was a pretty tasty and filling sandwich, although i had trouble tasting the mushrooms and red peppers....maybe these ingredients were used sparingly? i also chose a small bran muffin to start b/c i knew that the omelette sandwich would take a little longer to make since they were preparing this order from scratch. i noticed that the cashier was about to charge me for the large bran muffin, so i reminded her that i wanted the small muffin. moments later, the server brought me the larger muffin, and i had to repeat again that i wanted the smaller muffin. it makes me wonder whether most of the customers generally order the larger sized muffin or whether they just didn't hear me say small. at any rate, the small bran muffin for $1.75 suited me just fine, as it was a pretty healthy muffin with lots of bran and raisins, and held me over until my omelette was ready. my friend and i sat inside the cafe for at least an hour, during which time one of the staff was very friendly and attentive and checked in on us every so often, collecting any dishes that we no longed needed. i appreciated that he did this in an unintrusive manner. by the end of the hour, the cafe had gotten fairly crowded, so the noise level was a little higher, but that's to be expected as it nears 12 noon anywhere.

Terrible customer service, awful food, will never return. First, there was a short, but long line, consisting of myself and three other customers. It took over 20 minutes for two people to take 4 orders (whyyy?). When I gave my order, the employee spaced out while i was mid-sentence and asked me to repeat myself so I did, three more times (oh, that's why). After thirty minutes of waiting for the equivalent of a fast food order, the guy preparing my order the counter was belittling a coworker for informing him that my order was supposed to be to-go. He slammed my sandwich on the table, prepared it to go and threw it to his coworker at the prep station. I was not involved in this exchange at all, just witnessing the tension behind the scenes here. I ordered both sandwiches toasted, one double toasted. I had to repeat this a total of 4 times. Neither sandwich was toast at all. In addition to the two simple breakfast sandwiches, I decided to try out their french baguette, but they were all hard and stale... on a Sunday morning. This place is a mess and it shows in the lack of quality in their food and service. This place needs to go away for literally anything else.

Most of the food is decent. Service is spotty...at best, they might get your order right. Apparently they don't follow directions. I asked for bagel not toasted, sliced and cream cheese on the side. I got toasted, cream cheese on it. Oh well... Sometimes the service is quick...other times I've had to wait 15 minutes even just for a bagel and cream cheese.

Okay, so I've been to this location twice in the last two weeks and neither time have I been impressed with their customer service. Last week I met my boss for coffee and to go over some work "stuff". I arrived at 9:00am and there were a few customers scattered around but it was far from busy. Many of the items in the display case were gone so maybe there was some large group earlier who cleaned things out? We stepped up to the counter to place our order and were greeted by a very moody woman who made us feel like we were imposing on her by ordering. My boss ordered a muffin and when asked where the forks were the "lovely" employee stated "if the forks are gone in this container (which they were) they you'll have to go over there (as she pointed to the end of the restaurant get one. Never a smile, or an apology or anything. Come on now! Our coffee drinks were nicely made and however when they were ready for pick-up I wasn't sure they were ours so I had to ask and my question was again met with a look of "duh". Today we met there again and this will for sure be my last visit. Very unorganized. The cashier was making coffee instead of helping the 6 customers in line while the Manager was chit chatting with the staff making sandwiches. I wasn't in a hurry but the wait was way to long and totally unnecessary. With so many other coffee house options in the area it's a shame that this place isn't more on their game. I will say though that they have a steady group of regular seniors who seem to meet here quite often and enjoy it. They were very sweet and knew each other well. So it may be a great place for them if they don't mind unfriendly service but for me, service is key so I'll be placing my drink orders elsewhere.

They cater to my work every few months whenever we plan on getting the team some make your own sandwiches type of lunch. They're always on time for their delivery and most of the time they are early too. You can order online for pick up to avoid the crazy lunch rush hours. It's a good walking distance from where I work. My favorite is there Summer Salad which consist of spinach, mandarin oranges, strawberries, mangoes, feta cheese and almond nuts with their sweet tangy dressing. I alway try to recreate their dressing at home but I can't seem to get it. Must perfect it somehow to get a duplicate tasting-like dressing from the store. It's basically one of the only things I order from here plus some soup on those cold days. If you want to be in and out in less than 5 minutes from any Le Boulanger place then go order online for pick up :)

After striking out at the location on Union, I've given this place a try. My complaint there was poor customer service but I'll take that over the pig stye this place is. I'm here at 3:30 thinking I'm good after the lunch crowd but can't find a place to sit because there are dirty plates as tables. All of them! I'm not coming back.

I came here specifically because of a craving i've had for soup and a bread bowl. Specifically clam chowder. All in all, *horrible.* So bad I say that in a spanish accent just for emphasis Why? I knew you'd ask that... 1) Jose at the counter was super slow. Him and the other guy didn't seem to know the daily soups - which I doubt ever change - and they don't know how to properly help people. The lady in front of me was asking simple questions that should've been answered promptly. But alas, 3 minutes for the one customer with a line backing up in a horrible spot ... speaking of which: 2) the line is formed RIGHT BY THE DISHES RACK. WTF?! you have people exiting dropping off dishes and the staff putting dirty dishes away right where people are waiting to order? Cleanliness? Presentation? Common sense? All of these get an F for this point alone 3) When I ordered, Jose slammed my card through the reader.. 2 people at Pluto's over at Santana Row do this too.. Let me enlighten the staff and manager, who i hope is reading this, THIS FUKS UP MY CARD - it scratches the strip, and the front.. Do I like pulling out my card with scratches and wear marks at nicer places than yours? No.. Or rather, do you slam bills and change into your cash register? No.. it's unnecessary, annoying, and just about disrespectful of my property. 4) My bread bowl and clam chowder was just bad.. The breadbowl was really cold (past room temperature), and the soup was boring. I've never had clam chowder that watery. I had to drench it in tobasco for what little flavor I could add (side tip, tobasco and clam chowder - do it). So much for my craving. 5) While sitting there, I saw people get up to get their food with that annoying pager system, and lose their tables. Only once was someone OK with asking for their table back. Who wants to leave their phone, purse, or wallet on a table to hold it? No one.. If you're going to keep that antiquated service instead of forking over $12/hr for an server, than do your patrons a favor and at least give them some sort of sign or marker that they can leave on the table to show it is in use. Go to sweet tomato off Taylor and see how they do it. I suppose i'm only this upset because I had a specific craving and did not get it. But I paid 9 dollars for a flimsy bread bowl and watery soup.. can you blame me? The one saving grace was the black guy who took my plate as I walked out, he smiled, said thank you, and wished me a good day.. That kind of politeness goes far in my book.. If he had said "hope to see you soon", I may not have been as thankful... Go to Boudin Bakery instead Yelpers, they're building new ones at all the major malls... you're welcome

Way better then Panera Bread. I had their California Fresh sandwich on dutch crunch. Oh it was so good. The bread is chewy though but full of flavor. It comes with a bag of chips and a half slab of a pickle. I'll tell you this not a fan of pickles. But this pickle is something else. It was really that tasty.

I grew up in Los Altos and my mom, brother and I ate at the Le Boulanger there almost every weekend (and a few weekdays in between). So when I moved to Campbell and saw that I had a Le Bou super close to my place, I was ecstatic that I could indulge in all my childhood delights once again! My favorites: the blueberry muffins, cinnamon rolls, minestrone soup, Indian curry, "California Fresh" sandwich, "Firenze" pizza, sliced sourdough and dutch crunch. They don't seem to have changed their recipes for the past 15 or so years, which I love-I'm all about the consistency. Every time I eat here it's like I time travel back to simpler times and can be a kid again! Ok, clearly I am weirdly nostalgic about this place, but in all honesty their food really is good :) The service at this location is friendly and fast. My one complaint is about the parking-there is none, but that's just how it goes with the Pruneyard location. If you are looking for a good breakfast or lunch place with a wide range of meal and dessert options, this is the place to go!

What makes a good sandwich is the bread, and Le Boulanger has a wide variety of freshly baked breads. They do skimp you on the other ingredients, such as meat and cheese, but overall it's still a pretty tasty sandwich. I ordered a sandwich and salad and was satisfied with both. Service is not great here. They gave my friend a broken buzzer so we were never notified of when his meal was ready. Instead of bringing it to us, they let it sit out for at least 15 minutes and then didn't even care that the buzzer was broken. This place is good if you like bread and pastries..

I ordered a white mocha and a breakfast sandwich and may I just say it was amazing. They have free WIFI and its very relaxing out on the patio. I couldn't have had a better experience.

Much much better! The staff is great & attentive! (They must have new managers, hired new staff or the training improved) It has become my fav breakfast and local coffee shop. I love their Mango, Strawberry Spinach Salad for lunch (and sometimes dinner). Thank you Boulanger. I really like the changes you made (Campbell).

The only thing I order here is the California Fresh sandwich. It definitely hits the spot and I love that there are generous portions of avocados. They also give you a whole pickle to accomodate your sandwich, my favorite! Con: Dutch Crutch bread is way too hard. Kinda tastes stale... It's that feeling you get when you first bite into your sandwich and the bread somehow cuts your upper gum.. Not a pleasant feeling.

This review is for the terrible service from a young boy who works here named MADISON! I have never been treated so awkwardly and rudely by a customer service food cafe. He did not have any answers and was extremely UNHELPFUL! His appearance his also very unprofessional it looks like he just rolled out of bed. My sandwich was DRY the tomato soup had slivers of tomato which I was practically choking on and overall a TERRIBLE experience we will never return. Hoping management sees through Madison and gets rid of him. Sat here and watched how he treated other customers and it was just as rude.

I ordered a California fresh and it tasted absolutely horrible. The spicy sauce tasted like burning plastic. It overwhelmed my nose and mouth. I could not taste anything beyond that stupid burning plastic smell/taste. I got up, threw the sandwich away and left with the problem of dealing with a horrible taste in my mouth. Not coming back

I'm at this le boulanger right now and it's not too bad. It's 12:20PM and there are a moderate amount of people here. It is a little loud since it is lunch time but if this is as loud as it gets, not too bad. The menu's are mostly around $8~9 so it's not too bad in my opinion. Compared to the Panera that's a block or two away, this place is much bigger, cleaner, and better spatially organized. I only ordered a coffee since I'm studying and don't like eating while studying. $3.45 for a small coffee (they serve Peets coffee here ). I had it for here, the cashier put it down for to go, but the barista made it for here anyways. Yay~

I keep coming back to this place because it is so convenient. The food is pretty middle of the road, their staff is nice enough, but they have a nasty habit of not getting (my) orders right. I've ordered salads without nuts due to an allergy and gotten back to work...lo and behold, almonds everywhere. I've ordered avocado on some sandwiches and ended up with none. In one case on a really bad day, they gave me the altogether wrong sandwich. I've found that if I stick to the roast beef sandwich and just pick off the onions I asked them to leave off (sigh), I'm pretty ok with my lunch.

I ordered a turkey sandwich and got only ONE small slice of turkey smaller than the bread! I won't Be back!

I got the veggie breakfast- basically an omelette sandwich with eggs, mushrooms, avocado, peppers, and onions. They have a limited selection of odwalla juice, so I got the strawberry one :) There are lots of chairs inside and outside, so bring the whole family- pets included. after brunch, we walked over to coffee society for a cold cup of joe.

The staff is okay, but so is the food. This is like any basic chain i.e. Panera, Bread Co, this place. I say, meh.

After I've had Panera, it's been really difficult for me to come back and order any sandwiches from Le Boulanger. I used to come here religiously and the food here has since then been downgraded. I don't know if it's the food quality or the prices. I was disappointed somewhat. I think I am spoiled from Panera Bread's fresh baked goods :( P.S. Staffs here aren't as friendly as I remembered and I think I will stick with Panera bread for now....

Dont' order the peet's frappe things (mine was super watery for the second time both made by different people at different time of the day) Everything else-- DELICIOUS :). Great place to study/ people watch

This used to be my absolute favorite sandwich place to go to. I now come here mostly for corn muffins (which I can't seem to find anywhere else). I must say the quality of the food has slightly declined while the price has gone up. The sourdough round has gotten smaller too and they've increased the price on that. Sad. I still go here whenever I'm in the area and I'm feeling like corn muffins, but its not my first choice for a sandwich anymore. The onion on the California Fresh sandwich is overwhelming, and I order it onionless now. The staff is often impersonal and seems annoyed with questions about the menu.

Nikki C.
If you want their baked goods then I recommend them. Had the Bear Claw and it was good. If you want their omelettes you could get the same quality for half the price at a Dunkin Donuts or in the frozen food aisle. It was clearly microwaved and still cold in the middle. If I hadn't taken it home I would have asked for my $6.00 back. Very disappointing.

It's cozy and laid out nice and very comfortable in this chain....also very affordable. The sandwiches however lack volume! This ain't no New York style sandwich shop where they don't weigh each portion as you'd need to quadruple the meat portions if you want protein for lunch when you go here. The turkey and cranberry sauce sandwich on croissant is my fav but yeah,it needs a lot more meat or I am hungry an hour and a half later. The mustard is not good and too spicey and they do put a lot of salt on or in everything but overall the experience is good and it's pleasant in this place.

I used to love this place. I would walk in the door a few times a week, everyone was smiling and remembered what I usually ordered. It's not a requirement for me that a restaurant remember me, but can you at least smile? I don't recognize anyone at this location anymore, and everyone looks like they hate their job! It used to be a great perk that you could use your rewards card, (Or whatever it's called) and get the bread of the month, or something sweet, but every time I go now they tell me " You don't got nuthin". I will say that the food is still good. The Turkey-Canberry on a Croissant is my favorite. But honestly, I won't go back. If I'm going to pay $10 for a sandwich I'd at least like to feel like I'm welcomed to be there.

Great place for breads, sandwiches, and salads. Definitely a good go-to-place for lunch or brunch! I had the albacore tuna it was simple, grilled, and fresh! I definitely want to come back to try more of their sandwiches and soups. They also offer pizza, hot sandwiches, omelette sandwiches, salads, pastries, cakes, and bread! 4 STARS

Food good. Employees not so much. The cashier who could barely speak clear English screwed up my order and then talked to his manager about it. She then came up to us and blamed us for it? Straight up bitchy attitude.

Only the clam chowder here is good. The soup alone is worth 4 stars. Everything else about this place is overrated though. My friend and I both got the soup and sandwich combo for around $9.00. It comes with half of any sandwich, hot or cold plus a cup of soup. The sandwich that I got was the bay shrimp melt. It had shrimp salad, tomato, avocado, and melted cheese in it. It came on toasted sourdough bread. The sandwich wasn't good aside from the fresh slices of avocado. The bread was to dry and the shrimp salad was barely edible. The cheese wasn't even melted on one side. I also got a bottle of water which was $2.00. What a rip off. Also, the tables were dirty and there were still crumbs and grease on it. I noticed that the baked goods looked like they were at least a couple of days old. Nothing looked that fresh which is weird for a bakery. They were also out of plain croissants in the afternoon. This is one place that I'm never coming back to again.

I will not eat here again. I paid $9.10 for a tiny half sandwich and a microscopic bowl of soup. I would post a picture but not seeing this option on my phone via the yelp app.

I had the Italian Frittata. It was pretty decent. I'm eyeballing a cinnamon roll as I write this, so I'll probably end up writing up a review for that in a few minutes (damn you will power). For those looking for a meeting spot or to (pretend to) study, this seems like a pretty good spot to get some (action umm....) focused work done in the morning while you get your morning caffeine fix. There are about 3 accessible outlets. One in a chill spot near a trippy lounge chair and a small table. Another on a pillar between two 4 party tables and the other near a larger study group table. They seem to do a fairly brisk business. As far as I could tell, the food all looked fresh and the atmosphere was nice (albeit a bit dated). The crowd is 90% retirees and seniors. For all the senior ladies checking-in, bring your friends as this *is* the place to be in the AM. The resident homeless guy collects discarded home appliances (like coffee makers and toasters), traffic cones, and broken umbrellas. He also likes cigarettes if you don't have any cash.

Can I just say, that everyone who works there rocks... With that said, Mo, Jesse, and Asheeka (bad spelling) are majorly cool and fun. With those guys you get your lunch and a nice conversation. Feel free to high five them (JK, maybe don't high five them). This place is delicious, but -1 star for prices. Cheers

(1)Natalie L.

Kudos.
(4)Wilson T.
(2)Raquel R.
(5)Mike M.
(4)Bunny H.
Went here yesterday with my co-worker and loved it!! The sammies were fresh and yummy. I had the pastami sammie....mmmm...mmm... It's been along time since I have been here, and I should and will come back more often!! The service was lickety-split!! Happy eating!
(4)Chris O.
For some reason this branch is terrible. The bread seemed stale and overall everything just wasn't that good.
(2)CeCe C.
Almond croissant with almond paste filling. very filling! Italian Fritata. Need 2 normal size people to finish it up! It's quite filling just eating half!! We came at 11am, right before the crazy lunch people! :D
(3)Cindy W.
(1)Wontonies Y.
(1)Rick L.
Always great food - I love the soups! They have new salads that rock. One issue, for me, is that lately the cookies are OVER COOKED, dry, brittle even looking a little burnt
(5)Irvin R.
(5)Evangelina B.
(1)J. G.
(1)Danny T.
WON'T BE BACK
(1)Tracy M.
(3)David P.

Good sandwiches and fast service. The parking can be a little but tough but you'll find one pretty quickly. Love the thanksgiving sandwich with cranberries and turkey. I like their rewards card too.
(4)Cynthia C.
(2)Amanda G.

(1)Lisa G.
Delicious! Got an eggplant sandwich on dutch crunch bread, the portion size is really good. Wish I worked in the area as it is a perfect lunch place for under $10, seemed like they had a lot of sandwich options. Was pretty busy since it was in the Pruneyard but that seems normal for the area.
(4)Ed S.
Went in this mourning got a Bananna Nut Muffin & a coffee & they were dee-lightful! And the gal @ the register couldn't have been nicer.

(4)Derya A.
I enjoyed my California Fresh Sandwich and Butternut Squash soup. I think I prefer Panera, but I was satisfied.
(3)Mochi L.
I would not come here again for any reason. The service was poor, the food mediocre at best. I found humor in the wait staff and found it amusing that a woman sitting a table away was sleeping with a sandwich in her hand!
(1)Charmaine L.
they have an excellent cream of chicken soup. ample chunks of shredded roasted chicken, creamy texture, and full flavor. that in itself deserves 3 stars. as for everything else, you can pass on it. the sandwiches are sloppily slapped together.
(3)Amit P.
Le Boulanger has a fairly decent assortment of soups and sandwiches.. I tried the oven roasted margherita s/w and it was okay at best. The tomato soup was too acidic in taste for me. Give this one a miss.
(2)Daniel G.

Didn't eat here but nice place for a meeting
(4)Dennis R.
really overpriced.... get your moneys worth elsewhere... $28 for 2 sandwiches and a salad......
(1)Anthony L.
I'm a big fan of Le Boulanger and their bread. And, this store is a favorite place of mine for a quick bite to eat. I am a little surprised by some of the recent reviews of this store, as I have only had positive experiences; keep up the great work!
(5)Patricia A.

(3)Dave N.
(2)Raheleh K.
I think this place doesn't have as great of reviews as it should because people don't know what to order. Trust me, I LOVE this place so listen closely! Order the California Fresh sandwich and the Indian curry soup. If you still don't like this place, then you must be nuts! :)
(4)Serena J.
(3)T M.
I've gone here mainly for the breads, but sometimes for the sandwiches. I really like their dutch crunch bread and chocolate croissants. I've had some of their sandwiches and their pretty good, but a bit overprice for what they give you. I would probably come back for both, but much more willingly for their croissants.
(3)Robert A.
bad sandwich, aweful service.
(1)Victor B.
i'm sceptical. why are there no reviews for this yet? went here. wasn't impressed. ate some sandwich that hurt my mouth. it was good and fresh, but nothing special. a solid sammwich. i ate outside & it was cold. thats all.
(3)B C.
The Turkey Cranberry sandwich is great and worth the 12.5 minute average wait it takes for them to make it "to go". Compared to Subway this is NOT fast food sandwich making! They need some extra bodies.
(4)Libby J.
(4)Hailey D.

This place needs to go away for literally anything else.

i had a very nice experience i really like it

In love w their Vegi Medley Sandwich. Get a reward card, and enjoy free stuff and points. I need to see how this time turn out and update.
(4)Victoria A.

(2)Aarize D.
(4)Saundra N.
(1)Nick W.
(1)Linda N.
(4)Emiliano G.
It's all about the California fresh sandwich..
(5)Monica D.
Great service, very friendly staff, food was yummy! Will go there again & again! Wifi a plus. Thank you!
(5)Ashley G.
(4)Maggie Y.
(3)Gokmen E.
Other than dirty carpet, tables and chairs, it is fine!
(3)Alexis G.
I ordered a white mocha and a breakfast sandwich and may I just say it was amazing. They have free WIFI and its very relaxing out on the patio. I couldn't have had a better experience.
(4)Lynne W.
(4)MyTien P.
(4)Anjelica E.
(1)Hung V.
This place is filthy dirty. Management needs to get their team together and clean up the mess
(1)Omar T.
Not coming back
(1)Sarah K.
Yay~
(4)Jillian M.
(2)Judy C.
I ordered a turkey sandwich and got only ONE small slice of turkey smaller than the bread! I won't Be back!
(1)Kailey O.
(4)Tearene H.
The staff is okay, but so is the food. This is like any basic chain i.e. Panera, Bread Co, this place. I say, meh.
(3)Kellie H.
(2)Vicky T.
Dont' order the peet's frappe things (mine was super watery for the second time both made by different people at different time of the day) Everything else-- DELICIOUS :). Great place to study/ people watch
(3)Liz A.
(3)Nikki C.
(2)Brian D.
(4)Monique R.
(1)Karen L.
4 STARS
(4)James C.

Cheers
