I'm really disappointed to write this review because I love the ambiance and food here. The short rib tacos and truffle pizza are amazing. Our servers have been pretty great too... however, I have to give 2 stars simply because the hostess with the tacky bun on her head is awful every time we come. We came one time when it was busy and had to wait about 30 minutes, fine... we got a drink at the bar but then she told me there were only 2 tables in front of us when I asked her how much longer the wait would be, she repeatedly seated people without reservations (we were sitting at the bar and I could hear) before us... maybe about 3 tables that really shouldn't have been before us. Then the last time we came here the place was empty... there were only 2 other tables there that looked about done with their meal. Of course, she seated us way in the back at a two top table that was wobbly and unnecessary when the restaurant isn't busy. When we discovered the table was wobbly and saw there were plenty of other choices, we asked our server to move and she said of course and seated us at a more acceptable table.... then the hostess very rudely comes over and tells us we can't move because they're about to get an evening rush... we finally were able to get her to let us stay at our table as we already ordered and assured her we would be finished before the rush came... about 45 minutes later we were about done finishing our dessert and there was still no body in that place and we saw her seat another couple at our original wobbly table in the back. She was extremely unpleasant and has been multiple times we've been there. I would suggest retraining her to be more inviting to patrons or finding a replacement. She really ruined the whole vibe of everything else we loved with her attitude.

I recently visited The Six for the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had the sloppy joes for an appetizer, my cousins had pizza, salmon salad, and I had a green salad. I tend to change my meals and usually feel bad doing so. I asked to change a couple things and add chicken to my salad, even though it didn't come that way. The server was very sweet and said no problem. The salad was perfection and the balsamic dressing was delicious. My cousins loved their meals as well. I loved the decor and lighting of the restaurant. I will definitely go again.

We had read the reviews prior to going and low and behold, they were right! Absolutely the worse service ever! The food was just ok, the manager came over to apologize and immediately saw the fries didn't look fresh, took them back and brought a fresh, hot order. It's too bad that they have a nice location, great ambience, but they will never last with how they're starting off, all I can say is, One and Done!

Went there last night for Mom's night and we had a blast. Food was great and service was great too, plus a really fun atmosphere. FYI - You must get the brussel sprouts, they were amazing! The manager Marcus made sure we all had a great time. We will be back!

New local restaurant we randomly selected while driving by this evening. I understand the establishment has been open a week and from our experience they may have a tough time staying open. Upon entering we were quickly seated to a comfortable booth in the back. They have done a nice job redecorating from the days of Guidos. The food we ordered arrived and was at best satisfactory. Special ordered crispy fries arrived warm. The tacos were like warm , and the burger patty in the 15 dollar burger was better suited as a slider. The pizza was flavorful but overcooked. We mentioned to the server and she was not too concerned. Interestingly no visible management on the premise. You would think they would be roving the tables checking with the customers to gauge the level of satisfaction. Not a peep ! Finally the menu is set up with the number six. They were out of a draft beer...hard to believe in less than a week of serving. They wrote not particularly busy. My guess... They will have to work hard for success.

Save time and just go a few doors down to Peddlers Fork or even Red Robin! I can't review the food cuz we've never been served but certainly ignored by wait staff and maître d. We have tried 3 times. They're reservation system is screwed up. Tonight we were told it was a "reservation only" restaurant. By the reviews here it's clear the only positive reviews are from friends and family of owners I do know they're always people walking out highly unsatisfied. Place is also small and noisy and the menu is pretty lame.

Went for first time sat night and very pleased. Was crowded but sat at the bar and great custom made drinks by the bartender, silver tequila with cucumber was interesting and tasty. Great hamburger fries and Brussels sprouts. Dessert was a fabulous key lime pie. Very nice ambience great service. Other dishes coming out looked great. Definitely will return. Nice job The Six!!!!!!!

Visited this place on a Saturday night with a group. The service was horrible; the waitress was in the middle of taking our order than stopped and went to help the table next to us. The drink options were okay, but it took forever to get our drinks. My friend ordered a burger medium-well and it came undercooked (and late; we waited forever for our food). I ordered a pizza and the crust was burnt. The best thing we ate was the brussels sprout appetizer-yummy!! The large restaurant only has one restroom for women, so there was a line....really??? Some women chose to use the men's room to avoid the wait. One of the chairs broke that a friend at our table was sitting on. Last complaint is that our empty drink glasses and appetizer plates weren't taken away from the table until we asked the server to do it. Overall, completely dissatisfied with this restaurant and I won't be going there again.

I heard about this place and really wanted to go. I checked out the menu and got excited about this place. It looks cool and is in a great location. I really wanted to like this place. It ended up being one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. We sat at the bar which is right up front. We ordered an appetizer (fried pickles) which came out quickly and was great. But the main course we ordered was never actually put in the computer. I believe we were ordering straight from the manager too. 40 minutes later someone finally lifted their head to ask if we needed something which we said "where's our food?" They said they forgot to put it in and never apologized. We were then told by the bartender it would only take a minute to make (breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich). Almost 20 minutes later we gave up and said we need to leave and to cancel our food. They brought a check for almost $40 for the appetizer (fried pickles) and 4 beers. As we were paying this bill ( still no apology of any kind ) our food came out which we turned away as there was no time. I had asked for change for a $20 so I could pay the valet but only got $19 back. We left an unkind note on our bill to share our thoughts. I wish I could report on the food but the service was so bad I will never know. Terrible service has this place at the bottom of any list for me. I'll go to the Peddlers Fork instead, which is great.

Arrived at the six, and waited for about 3 minutes while the hostesses talked to each other before even acknowledging us. We were then seated. Great ambiance and decor. Seating was ample and comfortable. Restaurant was very loud, and we couldn't even hear the people next to us, granted it was a Saturday night. Waitress came to the table, she was very friendly. She took our drink order. And then we waited, and waited. She came back about 5 minutes later and asked us if we wanted to order some appetizers. We ordered Brussels sprouts, the turkey silders, the fried mac and cheese, we assumed that they were busy so we didn't bring up the fact that our drinks hadn't been delivered yet. About 10 minutes went by and we decided to flag someone down about the drinks. The hostess said they were busy and apologized. Our waitress came by and was shocked our drinks didn't come out she was very nice about it. The appetizers arrived before the drinks and the drinks came shortly after. Drinks took well over 15 minutes and no manager came by to appologize or explain what happened. The fried mac was good but one of the dipping sauces tasted like pure apple cider vinegar or champagne vineger. The sliders were great and the Brussels were okay but extremely caramelized almost burnt. I know you need to slightly blacken Brussel sprouts but these were overdone. Water refills were good server was a sweetheart the entire time. Entrees came and there was a slight mistake. We had no utensils and they sent out an eggplant parm instead of flatbread. They took it back but then brought it back out and let us enjoy it on the house which was nice. My entrée was the duck Confit fried rice. Portion was big and the dish was pretty good. Some of the carrots and rice were slightly undercooked and the duck could probably been preserved a little longer or cooked at a lower temp initially because it was slightly tough; but this is me being overly critical. Overall it was a good dish. My fiances short ribs were good but some bites were tougher than others. The rest of my party enjoyed their entrees. We ordered the banana creme pie, donuts, and cobbler. All the desserts were solid no complaints other than them being out of key lime. As someone in the food service industry this place is lacking in the management department. Almost invisible management and all of our issues were handled by the staff. Our service was a bit shoddy but it was very busy, this place is new, and our server was a total sweetheart and nice the entire time. I just wish a manager had come over at least once to apologize for the mistakes. If this place really wants to shine the managers need to step up to the plate and actually manage. Otherwise the owners are wasting their money.

the food was super bland or way too salty! We ordered the brussel sprouts, beet salad, tuna tartar, and white pizza - and they were all blah..... The atmosphere was nice and the way the food was served was creative - on wooden cutting boards with a handle. i will not go there again.

I've been here 5 times; 3x for happy hour and twice for dinner. Happy hour is always great. The food is tasty and the bartenders attentive. However, both dinner experiences have been a nightmare. My first dinner experience resulted in super slow service and cold dishes and a not so apologetic server. It was just kid of like deal with it. The second dinner experience was so bad my friends and I walked out. We watched as servers walked past our table for 40 minutes without ANYONE asking us for our order. We decided not to flag someone down just so we could see how long it would take. After 40 minutes we decided to walk over to Pedaler's Fork. But the funniest thing to happen was we were asked why we were leaving and I said because nobody came to the table and the response I received was "yeah Friday's are busy." I had to laugh. No offer to reseat us or an apology. So be warned: you may not eat if you go on a Friday because "Friday's are busy."

We love The Six. We've been to all of the other ones and live in Calabasas, so we thought we'd give the new one a try. No surprise, it was delicious. The specialty cocktails are refreshing and have catchy names like Calabasas Heat, and The Mule. Each category of food from starters to desserts has six items. For starters try the turkey and Portobello sliders on mini brioche buns! Yum. The mac n' cheese fritters served with ranch and Carolina bbq sauce are a great appetizer too. We love the six burger with Maytag blue, crispy onions, fresh tomatoes, butter lettuce, and thousand island. Mary's roasted chicken and potatoes with mushroom jus is tender and juicy. For dessert try the banana cream pie. It's out of this world!

This place is amazing...i's describe it as "rock n' roll chic" The decor in so cool and sophisticated. It makes being there an experience even without eating. But the food is equally as pleasing. The chicken and waffles, the beats with burrata and the flat breads are all amazing. We would eat there every night if we could. Oh...I've also been there for lunch and there are great salads and a cool vibe even in the daytime. I hear they have Kareoke there and music in the back room on weekends...the very friendly waitress told us that. i look forward to checking it out. There's also a screen in that room. They really made the most out of this space. It would be great for a private party. It is so hip that it attracts a mostly adult crowd...but I've taken my 13 year old son there and he absolutely loves it. But then what boy would be opposed to chicken and waffles?

Not A Huge Fan. Our Waitress Wasn't Good, Never Where We Asked If We Wanted More Water. We Felt Like We Where Being Ignored By Our Waitress! The Truffle Fries Are Amazing And The Company Was Great. But I Doubt I'll Be Going Back To The Six In My Future! Oh And The Worse Part About Dinner Was... Our Waitress Was Picking Her Nail-polish Off Of Her Nails And Throwing It On The Floor As We Took Our Order ! NASTY!!!!

Very conflicted here. Our closest friends took us here for my husband's birthday. Food was amazing however our server, Missy, not so much. She was friendly, but smelled like patchouli oil and wanted her to be gone so we were conflicted with wanting her around and not. Needless to say, I had to go to the bar and get our 2nd round after waiting 20 minutes. The manager was great and comped our drinks and got another round because they had already poured the missing round. Will definitely give it another try cause the manager definitely was good at PR and maybe Missy was just having a bad night. And again the food was good!

Ordered Thai Chicken on the Sunday brunch menu.... there was NO chicken in it..,,,.(maybe one half ounce, max). It was small, mostly cabbage and a few peanuts. For $ 15.00, it was a disappointment and major rip off.. A friend had a wrap with turkey sausage... she could not find the turkey sausage in it. Put some proteins in your dishes !!

Great ambiance & even better food in old town Calabasas. The eclectic menu is unexpected (Mix of fun, fried foods & healthy, gluten free options as well) and the chef know's his stuff. Staff is low key, funky and friendly. Out door seating, bar area, sun room area and private back bar. Layout lends itself to private events if they do that sort of thing. It's a California Casual kind of place - perfect for happy hour or a leisurely Sunday meal. Another reviewer was spot on calling it a "gastropub with a speakeasy vibe ."

  • Brian T.

Great addition to the area great food and Staff. They have an eclectic menu with something to please everyone. While the wine and beer selection is limited but still adequate their bartenders are exceptional. There is a bar in the front and another in the back with a dance floor, that is available for private parties. Warning his is not a quiet intimate place to get away from people they do a brisk business and is great place for small groups of people. When its packed be prepared to be patient it's a relatively small restaurant with a smallish kitchen. It's not a 4 star restaurant but a very good gastro"pub" Thursdays starting after dinner at 9:30 there is DJ that provides a good balance of Dance music and Karaoke.

The food was ok (nothing special), but the kitchen is way too slow! Waited over an hour for our food and the place was not even busy! I explained our poor dining experience to the manager and it seemed like he didn't really care. I would not dine here again. Very disappointed...

We arrived, a party of five, for a Birthday celebration. After waiting for 20 minutes, the waitress, finally showed up and took our drink order. We started with a few appetizers, which were very good. We would recommend the buffalo cauliflower. We ordered drinks, which were average, for the high price. Once again we waited another 20 min or so after our appetizers to order dinner. We all ordered something different, the pizza crust was not crisp, the 30 dollar pepper steak was cold, and the hamburger was adequate. We told the waitress about the cold steak, she apologized, brought it back to the kitchen and returned with the same 30 dollar steak which was microwaved to the desired temperature, which was now well done not medium. The steak was a waste of money. Any good restaurant would have replaced the steak, making sure it was served up to standards. For the price and food quality we would not return and we graciously give The Six a 2. A and S from Woodland Hills

The place has a gastropub-speakeasy vibe to it; which fits nicely in old town. The service was great, the six burger was delicious. I will definitely return. Bartender informed me of their nightly happy hour and I will be returning for it soon.

Cute little spot in calabasas perfect for a date night or sharing drinks/appetizers with a girlfriend. I ordered the cheeseburger and my friend ordered the ahi tuna & mac&cheese bites. Everything was delicious! My burger was perfectly cooked & the fries were delicious. Quick service, and friendly staff. You MUST get dessert. The banana creme pie was the best pie I have ever had. Seriously, you must try it.

The best appetizers! Cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, chicken meatballs, mac and cheese fritters Yum!!! I checked out The Six for one of its opening nights. It's great to have such a cool new spot in Calabasas. I'm here again now. Nicoise salad is great! fried egg on top. Ok time to dig in

I went to the Six and really loved the crafted drinks and our bartender/waiter Hilario. We drank in the bar and sampled a 23yr old bourbon called Pappy Van Winkle. It was so yummy! Loved the sweet potato fries too! I do have to say that the Cauliflower buffalo wings were interesting... Meatballs and calamari were bomb... Bourbon was the best!

Come for the atmosphere, cool design concept and the hip wait staff. Stay for the solid thin crust pizzas and amazing vegetable sides. The Brussels sprouts are truly a treat with prawn chips and a soy sauce based treatment setting them apart form the dozens of variations I have tried. Drink are solid but pricey. Will I be back? Yes.

Love this place! My girlfriend and I went out looking for a new place to have dinner. My girlfriend is a vegetarian so it's difficult at times to agree on something. A friend of ours went to the Studio City location so we decided to give it a shot. From the outside it looked like there wasn't much people inside. As soon as I walked I realized I was wrong. Very busy place and has a beautiful lay out. It was Saturday night so it was a little packed. This place is perfect if you want to eat or enjoy a social scene with some drinks. There food was amazing, I highly recommend the three cheese Mac n cheese. It was so good I had to order it twice. Overall this place has a great environment, amazing food and a friendly staff. I recommend this place to everyone! I def will be going back here soon!

Atmosphere is great - an updated cozy modern rustic. Now for the good stuff - OMG BBQ Cauliflower anyone?! You are probably saying - What? Ummm, no thanks. Well let me just say I was thinking along the same lines; however, so happy that we changed our mind. YUUMMMMMY! Seriously it was so scrumptious. Lets just say it is Chicken Wings without the dead chicken part. My honey Adam and I were going to get the Brussels Sprouts again because they were so delish. We are both creatures of habit when it comes to menu ordering. So when the manager Isaac greeted us (remembering our faces) he said let me guess, Brussels as a starter? I wanted to be feisty (not a rarety for me) so I moved away from the comfort zone a.k.a my Brussels! Adam loved his Burger - And I feel that they have the BEST GLUTEN FREE PIZZA on the planet. I like the White or Truffle Pie. Happy Hour is 3-6 so you can get your BBQ Cauliflower 1/2 off! "Yippee" Go,Go,Go.

I went for the first time over the weekend. I'll start with the positive. When we first got there it was just my boyfriend and I, so we took two seats at the bar, ordered drinks, great service from your bartenders. About 30 minutes later a group of six friends showed up so we all decided to sit at a big table to order more drinks, food and hang out. The food was good, but here is where it all goes downhill. Our waitress was MIA as well as the other waitresses, and one of us had to go find them to see when our food would come out because it took so long. She brought our food, but had total attitude as if we were interrupting whatever she was doing hanging with the other waitresses. We wanted to order another round of drinks and did, but for whatever reason she only brought two out of the eight and never returned. After waiting close to 20 min. One of our friends went to the bar directly to check on our drinks, and he told us the waitress never put the other drinks in and apologized for her. He made them and brought them out himself. We were planning to stay and hang a while, but because of the lack of service from our waitress we all wanted to leave and go someplace else that treated their customers the way customers should be treated. We asked for the bill so we could pay and leave, and I kid you not, it took another 20 min for them to bring that! You would think they would want to be paid. We finally went back to the bar, paid there and left. It will be a while before we go back, and if we do, we are only sitting at the bar. The bartenders are great. Your waitress staff honestly needs a lot more training, or you should video what's going on and clean house of the ones not doing their job.

like realllly bad service. the staff doesn't have it together. none of them knew how to prepare a gift card. there was a poor chap at the bar that wasn't helped because the bartender was trying to figure it all out. He ordered a drink and was ready to go, took them 10 minutes to find change for his $20 bill. may have to rethink gifting these..

Went here for lunch with a friend today...have seen it but never "remembered" about it! I'd like to give THE SIX.....SIX Stars! Nice menu, but not too much..just "6" of every category! Great service.....could even talk and not have to say "what?" Prices very reasonable, especially for a quality place. had the margherita pizza with mushrooms....could only eat half..took half home. My only complaint is that I wish they served whatever the hostess was on. She was SOOO cute, friendly, bubbly....ready to go back again....soon.

Where fun meets taste; a great place to transition into adulthood when you're done (or cut off) @ sagebrush -across the street. Their brunch makes you miss Sunday all week long... with friends, bottomless mimosas and wonderful service it's easy to see why. Chicken and waffles to share and $3.50 parking next door... joy and joyness makes this place six times better than many other san fernando valley spot. Ask for Brittni she's wonderful.

we had the Braised Short Rib Tacos, Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Mushroom Tapenade. All very good! I also had a glass or 2 of red wine can't remember the name that was very good too! Heard some good things about this restaurant so my better half and I decided to see for ourselves. We walked in and were seated in the first booth in the bar on the left which was partly behind a beam but still in clear of the restaurant and bar. We sat and sat and after ten minutes of being ignored we decided to leave. In that time we had two servers, the hostess and a bartender walk by our booth without even a glance our way or a sign of acknowledgement. Totally unacceptable. No manager presence either. Inexcusable. When leaving I made a comment to the hostess who originally sat us to which she just said " okay " ! Obviously having people skills is not a requirement when being hired. Incredibly disappointing and to make matters even worse when I tried to inform them of our bad experience, their website didn't allow me to post anything because after clicking on " contact/reservations " all that popped up was a blank page with the words " Not Found " in the top left. I wanted to give them a chance to make good before posting here on Yelp. Needless to say that didn't happen. I just wonder if they even bother with Yelp. I'll leave my info and we'll see ! Very inconsistent. This time around on Thursday was a disaster. Food kept coming to our table that wasn't ours. Servers were generally confused. Hard to get refills. When our dinners finally came after an unusually long wait, everything was cold. We just gave up. Not likely to return.

Both my wife and I had been looking forward to dining at The Six. We saw the place had reopened in the old Guidos via walking to one of our favorite dining establishments, The Peddlers Fork, just 50 yards away. A few times we tried to book a table for two through Open Table only being shut down as they were full. I figured today I would call instead. The hostess was nice on the phone and said she would fit us in. Great, were in! Upon arrival our table was ready and a very cute hostess seated us. But wait... The place is a mad house! I literally could not have any conversation with my wife. Quickly and literally huhs and what did you says turned to silence and smiles from across the table. The acoustics are no bueno! This is a dining experience something more like you'd find in a Manhattan buzzed about eatery than in sleepy Calabasas. Now, I frequent New York and can hang with the best of them in the vortex of noisy places, but this is another level of buzz saws. You know it's bombastic when you have to raise your voices beyond yelling to the wait staff to get what you need. With that said, the meal was assuasive. Mostly my review of a 3/5 is skewed based on the noise and service. The cauliflower app was good, nothing to write your mother about, but had a nice flavor... Nevertheless, the line cook forgot to complete the dish and add parmesan cheese over the top like the table next to ours - no consistency. I ordered the salmon as my main. It was nice and cooked properly. I ordered the brussels as a side only remembering that the salmon already came with them. I tried to flag our waitress down and could not get her attention. One of the five hostesses wondering aimlessly finally saw I was looking for attention and came to my rescue. I had her crouch down so that I could let her know to swap the brussels for the cauliflower. She kindly said she would inform the back. My wife ordered a gluten free pizza. She was dissatisfied as well. She mentioned that the cheese was sour and almost cheddar in flavor. I tasted and concurred. Definitely not the best quality cheese as it was greasy. Now, the frustration was high and the noise was tugging on my proverbial nerves. I was getting antsy and just wanted to eat and get going. But the evening kept on going. I received the cauliflower and then followed my dinner. Along with my dinner came a surprise, the sprouts! As I said earlier I had cancelled them. The server (another one) said he would have to toss them and we should just keep them since they were brought out and they would comp them. So we obliged thankfully. Cut to check time. Guess what? Surprise, Brussels! After explaining our issue with the first waitress, she took them off the bill ultimately. Nevertheless, the moral is none if this would have had to happen if they just could have heard us. The place seems understaffed and those that are there, hurried. The food is fine as I said and the decor nice. Personally, we would not make this a first choice to go back too. Our heads were buzzing from the craziness and the just average meals. We will walk the extra 50 yards to The Peddlers Fork. The only plus is the hostesses are mighty good on the eyes. At least the manager cares about good looking staff.

Great tasting food and great calabasas vibe. Get the Mac and cheese balls, the Brussels sprouts and any pizza is great. Only thing was the food was a bit cold. Next time I will ask to make sure it's hot. Drinks were strong. All good.

FINALLY - - We have needed a place like this! I was hoping that the (overpriced, underwhelming, snobby) Peddler's Fork would be our new Calabasas go-to spot, but thankfully The Six has fulfilled that potential. FOR STARTERS: MAKE A RESERVATION, especially on Friday or Saturday night. NOTE though, that you may order food at the bar --- we were lucky enough to get a spot there despite not having a reservation. The food was a little hit or miss (mostly hits) and I think it's just a matter of time 'til they find their groove. Highlights: -- Brussels Sprouts appetizer: amazing. Ginger soy + sprouts: would have never occurred to me but what a yummy combination! - Roasted cauliflower: delicious, with a little cheese on top. I could eat the 2 dishes above every day and be happy! - Dates with chorizo (and...bacon?): perfectly fine and exactly what you'd expect for this dish. Didn't blow us away, but still nice - Meatballs: Here I agree with someone else that they were, sadly, bland. Also, I need to echo what another reviewer mentioned about the friendliness of the staff. It was (obviously, since it just opened) our first time there but the bartender made us feel like we were "Regulars".

$13 drink. I had the Greek Salad. It was arugula salad with a few tomatoes and olives, for $14. Dressing was very so-so. Not interesting at all. Nothing compared to the Greek Salad at the StoneFire Grill. My wife had the Braised Rib Tacos. The shell was burned. Very so-so. We will not go back.

Having read the reviews today (1/3 negative, 2/3rd's positive) I was wary about going here, but our friends had been before and liked it. Yelp's word for a two star review--Meh--about sums it up. No big deal. I've had better food; not worth going out of one's way to eat here. The decor is nouveau-industrial; it looks like you're on a movie set of West Side Story or the stage version of Billy Elliot. Pleasant but artificial. Because it was Monday and most of the restaurant was empty there was little noise, but our friends told us on the weekends it's so loud you can't carry on a conversation. The service was fine, food service a bit slow (but you're warned about that on the website), but the food itself was no big deal. The hamburger was nice; the brioche bun it came on was bland and airy. Sweet potato fries okay but I've had better. My wife left half her salmon, which she rarely does. To sum it up: no big complaints, but no plaudits either. Pleasantly average.

I love this place. My girlfriends friends and I ate here Saturday night and the place was packed and full of great energy! We did not have a reservation, so the beautiful and bubbly hostess directed us to the back bar/speakeasy, where we found comfortable seating (we later learned this sexy lounge was called The Bourbon Room). We ordered three of their specialty cocktails, the Calabasas Heat, the Cable Car #6 and the McQueen 68. These were as gorgeous as they were delicious. You can tell that great care and fresh ingredients are put into their drinks. If it wasn't for the fact that we set a goal to try all of their unique libations, we would have certainly stayed with these 3. However, we only made it through 9 of their 14 specialty cocktails (the only part of the menu that doesn't follow the rule of "sixes"... Thank you), because their drinks, although incredibly tasty and seemingly well balanced, are surprisingly strong!! Thumbs up to the bartenders. Not only do they make great drinks, they also gave great service and were quite entertaining :) On to the food... We stared out with a few of their appetizers, the buffalo cauliflower, the Brussels sprouts and the short rib tacos. Again, we could have stopped here, but despite the large portions, the food was AMAZING!!! We were happy to share/devour the pan seared Mahi Mahi and the Chicken Flatbread as well, only to finish our meal off with Banana Cream Pie, big enough for the three of us to share (also apparently free if you check into yelp. I wonder if I can redeem after this post;). The night did not end there. at approximately 9:30, DJ Gold Dust who we recognize from another one of our favorite restaurants began spinning some great music which totally suited the vibe of this Six joint. Also would like to mention the level of hospitality shown to us by the manager. He was very in command of this busy place and seemed to find time to stop and check-in with all of the guests throughout the restaurant. The Six gave superb service, food and drinks from start to finish. This is definitely our new favorite place! Can't wait to try the brunch and happy hour!

The food was ok, but we were only offered a limited Fathers Day menu. We asked to order off the main menu, but were denied, even though the table next to us got to order off the main menu, or at least a different menu. All other tables got bread, but when we asked for us, they said "we don't give bread. those are special tables." ok? The waiters and waiteresses were very unattentive even though the restaurant was practically empty. Also not a good sign for Fathers Day brunch time... Decent food hardly make up for a bad experience.

We were really looking forward to trying out The 6. Made reservations last week for 5:30 this past Saturday night. Place was nearly empty except for the bar. USC game. The host placed us in the middle of the restaurant and a SMALL little table for two. We politely asked for a booth and were told twice they were holding the booths in case it got busy......WHAT? We had reservations. The food may be good. We don't know because we walked out and had a great dinner, and a booth at The Peddlers Fork. Its one thing to have good food but if your customer service sucks what's the point. To add insult to injury, we walked over after we finished dinner and there were still empty booths. Apparently losing us as a diner Saturday night wasn't that important to the wait staff. We may give it one more try. But we'll make sure we request a booth when we make our next reservation.

First visit tonight. The service was excellent. Appetizers were very good. I had the Thai Cobb Salad which had absolutely no flavor. My wife had the Salmon Salad and said it was great. Guess I ordered the wrong thing. The noise level is very loud. Will give it another shot and order something else.

Lemon drop martinis are to die for, short ribs the same. This place is def on par with Local Peasant. Love the back bar on a Friday/Saturday night. Met some pretty fab aged rockers with great stories. Fun!

I am from the Seattle area and came to Six for my daughters baby shower. What a wonderful place. The service was outstanding and the food was so delicious with such wonderful flavor. The manager attended to all the details and made our party run smoothly. We loved it so much we came back for dinner. I ordered the Six Burger which was so tasty. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I have been to all three of THE SIX locations, and have to say they all deliver! This one has a full bar with craft cocktails, minus the suspenders and the attitude. The wine list is unpretentious, affordable, and on point. My wife had If you see Kay Red and I started with the Calabasas heat cocktail-margarita with a kick, extremely well balanced. We started off with the buffalo cauliflower, recommended by our server, and it was fabulous. I have never had this anywhere (they must have created it) and it is a creative twist on wings but actually better and guilt free. We moved into main dishes, she had the green curry mussels and I had the pizza. We were both floored! Mussels better than any Santa Monica Seafood joint and pizza better than Puck?! The vibe is super cool for Calabasas, which tends to be conservative with some of its dining options. Will come back next time for desert!

This is an great addition for Calabasas! The service is great and the food is amazing. I love the twist on the dishes, like the tuna tartar and the brussels sprouts. There is a new dessert called the black and white, you should definitely try it.

Came here after being disappointed with Pedaler's Fork and am really happy to have to have found this place. As a designer, I appreciate the decoration. The brass bar countertop is awesome, as are the other elements. Happy hour is the best (4-7p.m. everyday) with great food and booze prices. I came here two days in a row because I wanted to try out a few different things. I highly recommend this place.

Nice vibe. Menu is diverse and has many vegetarian options. Staff was very friendly. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because a couple of the dishes including a pizza came to the table kinda cold. The 2nd pizza was piping hot. Overall a cool new place in Calabasas.

This place had the worst service at any restaurant I have ever been to in 20 years. Cool looking place with great bartenders in the back. Amazing Old Fashion drinks. Food was good (once we got it). The huge problem is not well trained servers given way too many tables, no bus boys picking up plates or refilling waters and a clueless manager drinking on the job. If the owner doesn't hire more staff, get a new manager and focus more on service, this place wont last. All 16 of us who ate here will probably not be back unless there are major changes. I wanted to like this place. The service killed it for me.

I yelped "the six" before I ate dinner here and was definitely not looking forward to go for a birthday dinner. I must say I was presently surprised! Everything was absolutely delicious. The waitress we had was super sweet as well. The way it is decorated is gorgeous too. I know every new restaurant has flaws when they first open but I will definitely return. All seven of us girls thought it was exceptional.

We were a little worried after reading the reviews on the way to the Six, but the worry was unnecessary! The food was so delicious and unlike any other place we've gone to in the West Valley/Calabasas area. We started with the short rib tacos and the sloppy joe sliders. If you only order one thing, it MUST be the tacos!! They are so delicious; the rib is tender and juicy and the salsa has the perfect mix of mango and lime which adds a great refreshing dimension to the tacos. The sloppy joes were an elevated version of a home-made favorite; with enough spice to keep it from become a boring slider app. We shared the six burger which was cooked perfectly and was served with a fluffy brioche bun. I loved the added crunch from the onion rings. Dessert (banana cream pie & the donuts) was fantastic as well. The banana cream pie was really phenomenal, so decadent and flavorful. I loved the creative twist of the Oreo crust. We didn't have any cocktails (it was the 5th of July and needed some detox), but the menu is impressive and inventive. The service was really the icing on the cake. Our waitress, Jaime, was helpful and attentive. She served us quickly, but did not rush us. She checked in & made sure we were happy but wasn't intrusive. We made quite a few interesting requests given our somewhat finicky dining preferences, and she delivered 100% without anything but a great attitude. The man who oversees all three location was very attentive as well and helped make the experience even better. He even brought us a piece of the dessert special (red, white and blue; red velvet cake with a homemade kitkat bottom and with cream cheese frosting & blueberries). This detail made us feel welcome and made us feel that they really care about the overall dining experience. Overall, it was really fantastic and we look forward to coming back and trying the pizzas and the drinks!

The food here really really really sucks. I got the burger asked it to be medium it was burnt. There was really nothing in there but sauce and burnt meat. It's a Saturday and we were the only ones there. Says a lot.

The six? More like The negative six. Food was inedible and coffee was cold. We will never dine here again. Save your hard earned money and go to Blu jam instead.

I thought the appetizers were better than the main courses. I had the Hanger steak and it good but it was something I could make at home better. The buffalo cauliflower was really good and the short rib tacos were a winner. The server was really nice but there was an order that got messed up (the person in our party had to eat when everyone else finished) and two people had to return their food because it was cold. I liked the atmosphere and the drinks were good.

I love the ambience. The staff was incredibly friendly. I loved the salmon and my friend ordered the short rib tacos which he shared with me and they were scrumptious. Went back a second time and ordered the Nicoise salad and well I was just not feeling it. My waiter could tell and he replaced it without question with another item (I decided on the salmon again and it was as good as the first time I tried it).

Had a great experience at The Six on Ventura, so I wanted to take some family in Calabasas to this one for a nice Friday dinner out. Have to say, I was extremely disappointed with many aspects of my experience. First off, we made reservations for 4 and they walked us through the first 2 rooms of their beautiful restaurant until they sat us in a dark third room very far in the back, which was more like a second bar room near what looked like some phone/router equipment. The round table they sat us at was so gigantic (probably made for 6-8 people) and the room was so loud that we literally could not speak to each other without yelling. After being seated, at least 10 minutes went by and no one had approached us about anything, not even water. Finally someone noticed we were there, except they weren't a waiter and asked "Has anyone helped you? How long have you been here." We asked to move to a smaller table inside the regular dining rooms, which they were more than happy to accommodate. However, once seated at our new table, we were left waiting once again for someone to get a drink order, bring us water, ANYTHING. About 15-20 minutes after originally being seated we finally had water and a waiter. Things moved pretty well after that and we were enjoying ourselves, until I ordered the salmon, someone in our party ordered the salmon salad- except they were out of salmon completely. Ok, plan B with the food. I ordered a steak with truffle parmesan fries, my girlfriend ordered the grilled sweet potato. When we got our food my fries had neither parmesan nor truffle oil on them. Completely dry. I immediately asked the runner "Are these the truffle fries?" He said yes, when they, well, were not. The waitress came to check up on us and I said "I don't think these have truffle oil or parmesan on them at all." She said they "smelled like they did." Nevertheless, she went back and brought me a new order which ABSOLUTELY WERE TRUFFLE FRIES. Covered in cheese and truffle oil, night and day from what I was brought. Surprised that 2 people told me they were truffle parmesan fries when you could SEE that there was nothing on them. Surprisingly, the steak was perfectly cooked and delicious, so there's that. All in all, I really wanted to like this place, but everyone in my party agreed that we'd never come back, which is a shame since it's really nice in there. The only consolation is the drinks were all spectacular. Maybe just a place to get a drink? My biggest note is that they should not serve dinner parties in the back bar room at ALL.

  • John S.

I give this 2 stars because the waitress are real pleasant and the service is outstanding. To bad I won't be experiencing the service again because when a 10oz ny steak costs $35 it should leave an impression. It did leave an impression, and that was why did I waist $35. I could have had a better steak at chiles for $15. For real!! Next time i'll go to Monty's,

Great atmosphere and nice people. Service was really good but the food was just average, a bit overpriced. The appetizers we ordered, muscles, fried pickles, truffle garlic fries and Brussels sprouts were good, but the entrees were just average.

Well, as important as it is to find good spots, it's also important to weed out the crappy ones. This place is one of the crappy ones. Burger was boring and super dry. The kitchen could not get our fries order right. And, my wife's salad was sparse. Definitely won't be coming back here. Oh well.

    (1)
  • Mike C.

I am shocked this place does not have a higher overall rating. The food is spectacular, even the healthier choices. The Brussel sprouts are seasoned so perfectly you can not imagine you are eating Brussel sprouts. My table of four had four servings of Brussel sprouts, we probably have not had four servings of Brussel sprouts combined in the last six months LOL. The pizza was fresh and delicious. The sweet potato fries, & the cauliflower were all excellent. My wife and I split a NY steak which also exceeded expectation. The other couple enjoyed Halibut and salmon and both stated the fish was quite good. The server was Kristine and even though the restaurant was full she was extremely attentive and competent. She also had a wonderful demeanor and was very honest about what she felt was the best options on the menu. I see people criticizing the lay out of the restaurant and then admitting they did not even go to the second or third rooms in the restaurant. The bar in the front is a narrow long bar which is mostly used for parties waiting for a table. The bar with all the action is a fantastic room in the back of the restaurant. The main dining room has lovely booths is quiet spacious and the acoustics allow for casual conversation without the need to yell. The bill for four of us was $160, Extremely reasonable for a typical meal out and this meal was far above typical. Will be back very soon.

The six has amazing food. They treated us like we were regulars on out first visit. Our server Jamie was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks. She brought us their finest dishes. The ambience is relaxing and comfortable. We had a great time and plan on returning.

Not a great first experience. Love the ambiance and was really looking forward to trying it... Alas, still haven't eaten there. Came in without a reservation and was told it would be 10-15 minutes. We headed to the back bar where we sat, unacknowledged by the female bartender, for a good 15 minutes. We decided to head to the front bar and we're greeted immediately by a very friendly bartender. We ordered 2 drinks, there was a bit of confusion between the two bartenders, we got only 1 drink. By now it's been at least 30 minutes and we checked on the status of our table, we were next. 10 minutes later still no table and utter confusion from the hostesses. We were ready to leave so cashed out at the bar, yep, were charged for both drinks! Only saving grace of the entire experience was the bartender who graciously cancelled our bill and comp'd our drink for our inconvenience. Can't say I won't give them another chance... But definitely a strike against them

Busy place in heart of Calabasas. Menu is low on healthy choices. A typical gastropub ambiance, with a large dining area. In general, food is not that memorable. Burger has good flavor, but salads are small in size and overpriced. This will not be the place I will return to anytime soon.

Ok, so I never write Yelp reviews, but after what happened to me on Saturday night I couldn't keep this to myself. A friend and I stopped for dinner around 6 this past Saturday. We were seated outside immediately on the heated patio. We ordered and received our food, I ordered brussel sprouts and a salad with grilled chicken. My friend ordered the fish. The food was ok, however, the cocktails we ordered before dinner did not come for over an hour even after we had asked after them several times. It also took us a very long time to get this check as well. The dinner lasted about an hour longer than either one of us wanted it to. HERE IS THE WORST PART - I have been sick with what I thought was food poisoning since this dinner! Only today while I am sitting in the ER did I discover that I have a bacteria infection in my intestines. I have been eating at The Six in West LA for years but will NEVER go to this location again. Ridiculous!

  • D R.

We tried this new place for dinner. I liked the decor. The burger was good, the pizza a little bit undercooked(i like mine on the crispy side). I wish they had a larger selection of wines(only 6 reds and they were out of the one we wanted). Service was good. It was a nice place to meet with friends, most likely to go there again soon to try other items.

    (4)
  • Kyle T.

Overly priced and exaggerated menu items. "Beets salad" was more like an arugula salad with a few pieces of beets. "Tuna tartar" was three small deep fried rice cakes and a few tiny pieces of tuna sprinkled on each. They were like 15 dollars each! All other dishes were small and tasted boring.

  • Shauna S.

Calabasas can be a bit stuffy but this place is definitely cool. The food could be faster coming out but when you read more about their philosophy you see that everything really is prepared fresh and from local ingredients. The chicken club sandwich that I got was REALLY delicious. I had removed french fries from my diet entirely but for this place I will make an exception... the fries were the best I have ever had- very finely cut and lightly fried in what tasted like a light healthy oil. My friend had the truffle fries and they were even more delicious. I really like how the place is lit and decorated too. Well done, The Six!

Was here for dinner last night for a friends birthday. The entry way leads you straight into the bar which gave me a claustrophobic feeling because the space is so small when several people are in the doorway. The bar accommodates a few people & was full and there is no where to stand so we had to take a table. I had a nice Cabernet and the white pizza and both were really delicious. I ordered the mescaline salad that disappointed because the lettuce, rather than being fresh & crisp was flat & slightly wilted. I had to return it. It seems kinda hard to screw up a salad but if you don't use the freshest ingredients that will happen. I did sample the deep fried Mac & cheese which was really good. Our waitress was very sweet, personable and really prompt. Nice decor and the rest of the restaurant is nice, but the entryway/bar area just seems poorly designed and the salad was a turn off.

This is a new spot in Calabasas and I was excited at the possibility of of a new and fun "younger" type of restaurant/bar in the area. While the atmosphere and ambiance does provide a more young and sexy vibe, in my opinion, this place can be best described as a Monet - good from afar, but far from good. I'll start with the layout. I know the shape of the space isn't something the owners could have controlled, but I don't think they utilized it very well. It's basically a long and narrow space, with a bar to your right in the front as soon as you walk in. To the left is the dining space, and although I didn't get a chance to physically walk over, I believe there's more dining space in the far back with an additional bar. This wasn't a very busy night so there wasn't much action back there. My gripe is with the bathrooms being placed literally adjacent bar in the front of the restaurant. The bathroom signs and doors are perfectly visible even from the dining area to the left, which is just kinda gross (doors opening and closing and letting out whatever the hell just went on in them). Also, good luck waiting in line for the bathroom as you will be completely in the way of the staff that's running around trying to put in and retrieve drink orders. Again, this wasn't even a busy night with only one or two people in line for the restroom, but it was still a clusterf**ck. The bathrooms themselves felt like they weren't finished in time for the restaurant's opening. There was barely any soap in the dispensor, the decor felt hurried, the water pressure sucked. As I was washing my hands, I could feel the water pressure change and weaken as someone in the men's room just flushed a toilet. Not the biggest deal in the world, just small details that I noticed. The food & drinks ~ I ordered a jalapeno type margarita - it was good. Not that spicy, I was hoping for a little more of a kick, but in general, it was tasty. A friend ordered a Moscow Mule - came in a copper mug, as it should, and was tasty with a good pour. Would have been even better if they add real ginger to the drink to give it that authentic spice. Our drinks came out in a timely manner, except for our third friend, who ordered a beer after we had already gotten our drinks; his beer took about 15 minutes to get to the table, which is just unacceptable especially since they were not busy at all. We ordered the truffle fries for an appetizer. Tasty and good. Just the right amount of truffle with grated Parmesan on top. For our main dishes we ordered two pizzas for the table to share, the BBT and the Pumpkin pizza. The BBT was way under-cooked, and the Pumpkin pizza was way overcooked. The ingredients on the BBT (debecca farm bacon / fresh basil / blistered cherry tomato / mozzarella) were tasty and fresh, but it was a disappointment to bite into a mushy pizza crust. And on the other end of the spectrum, the Pumpkin pizza (brown butter sage / mozzarella / grilled pumpkin) looked and tasted like a store bought pizza one of your stoned college roommates accidentally left in the oven for too long. Womp Womp. Our waitress was very nice, but I don't recall her checking on us after the food arrived to see how it was. She did check in a little while later though to see if we wanted to order more drinks. This was my first experience here, and I know that they are new, so maybe (and hopefully) they can work on some of their weak points and gain footing. I will try this place again and give an update on my second experience. All in all, it was just OK, which is disappointing as it could be one of the few places in this area to cater to a younger demographic.

Came here for dinner last night. We called at around noon to make a reservation. We were told over the phone that we wont need a reservation. We get there and we're immediately asked if we have a reservation. We say no. They say we are all booked up. We explain the situation and get seated. Weird, whatever. The food wad average at best. My blue cheese burger was not cooked the way I ordered it and the hand cut fries were bland and undercooked. Our salad was a bowl of letuce. Some yummy tomatoes and a few dismal pinenuts, overpriced for what we were served on that salad. The pizza was also undercooked. Flavor was average. The decor of the place overwhelms the actual food, which is a shame. We'll probably be back in a few months to give it another shot.

It pains me to give a poor review to any establishment in the 91302. But, I hope the owners are paying attention to these posts and can get to the bottom of the Six turning into a ZERO. Dined (and drank!) here this past Friday. And I'm sad to report this place is going downhill quickly. We've been frequenting this place since day 1. And even suffered through the not so Grand Opening (as evidenced by the prior reviews). Service is still very spotty. Odd since the majority of wait staff has remained intact. The big bear of a Man-ager has worked his ass off since day 1 but still seems to be profusely apologizing and making excuses for the place. Beyond the inconsistent service, there's a new issue -- Something is going on with the kitchen and it ain't good. In particular, the pizza quality has gone way down. The burger was yucky. And the fish undercooked. On the plus side, the Buffalo Cauliflower and Brussel Sprouts continue to be stand outs. SIX owners, you nailed it with the atmosphere and decor now if you could only get the food and service to match.

I gave this place a second attempt last night. I want it to be successful because we need a place like this in the area. It was a huge disappointment! Bad service, no one came to greet us until we complained and we had to chase down every course. Our food was delivered at different times and was cooked incorrectly. The table next to us had the same problems. If I was ever going back it would be for drinks at the bar. One redeeming factor was the owner was very kind and apologetic. Not enough though for this place to last.

The waitresses were very friendly and the restaurant has such a cool atmosphere. We had their pizza, short rib tacos, grilled peaches and a short rib grilled Mac and cheese which was probably the best thing I've ever had. My 5 year old ate two orders of meatballs and she's a very picky eater! All the food was great and were def going back.

My wife and I, have tried and enjoyed the Studio City location, so we were delighted that friends booked a dinner for us in Calabasas, same excellent food and with an ever better "vibe" - our English waitress (I'm so bad at names) was WONDERFUL - Highly recommend to one and all

I was really impressed with what they did here. It is long over due in the 91302. We are very limited on what is available. I think the problem is that they should have made it bigger because it is a matter of time before the long waits. They do take reservations. I was really happy with everything. The food was amazing. We had the short rib tacos. They were perfect. The best thing was the garlic truffle fries. I could live on those. I had the 6 Burger and it was excellent. The owner also brought us over a slice of the banana cream pie. It was the best one I have ever had.

Caught the end of happy hour today and it was great! Bartender was cool, the food was awesome and the drinks tasted fantastic... You don't see beef tartar on very many menus around here, and theirs is so good! The short rib tacos are fire to... I'll definitely be back to taste more of the food menu and their cocktails

Nice casual warm ambiance, but that's about it. Not a busy night. Bartender girl was less than friendly. No greeting, no goodbye. Finally got my drink and told her the soda was flat, and she did nothing and charged me for my drink anyway. The brussel sprouts were a charred mess, and my tiny mussels were overpowered by a milky curry sauce. (Frankly, most restaurant staff in LA needs training on how to be of service. It's embarrassing.) I won't be back.

Where do I start. I arrived at 12:00 and just got my burger at 1:20. Serious eats rated the burger almost a 10 but failed to mention that the score was out of 100. Stale bread is not a good start to a burger and blue cheese that makes your mouth pucker doesn't help to hide the bland burger! They should hire someone from hot dog on a stick to teach them how to make fresh lemon aid and should try to cook a waffle till it is no longer doughy. Thoroughly disappointed in the dining experience and would recommend going across the street and having some food!

Great food, service and atmosphere. Their brussel sprouts were ridiculously good and the fries were great. I am so glad that they opened up one if their restaurants in Calabasas!!

I came here with my boyfriend for lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy--but the service was still good. Our waitress was very friendly and recommended some of her favorite dishes. - We ordered the Cripsy Brussel Sprouts for an appetizer and they were DELICIOUS! I highly recommend these. My boyfriend was in the I-want-to-eat-everything type of mood, so he ordered: - Braised Short Rib Tacos (these were so good that he placed a second order for them...actually amazing), - the Ahi Tuna Tartare (nothing too special...just ahi tuna in lettuce wraps...I would say skip these and get the short rib tacos), - and the Royale Pizza (very cheesy, so beware, but the pears on top were the best part) - And I ordered the Thai Cobb Salad, which is all shredded cabbage and no actual lettuce--I wasn't expecting this, but it was good nonetheless ....soooo...we hadn't eaten anything all day, I swear :-/ The setting was really nice. We sat out on the patio and people watched and enjoyed the nice summer day. We didn't try any alcohol this time around, so I can't say anything about that. But the food was very good. We will probably be back.

Finally, a neighborhood joint in Calabasas worthy of a 5 star review! Craft cocktails, using proper technique-my wife had the champagne cocktail, I had the Calabasas Heat, both perfectly balanced and under $10. Turkey Sloppy Joes-delicious! Green Curry Mussels paired with Ferrari Carano Fume, perfect! Banana Creme pie with cookie crust-wow! Great, comfortable ambiance-these guys hit a home run, can't wait to go back!

OK so I begged my mom to meet me for dinner here after she insisted it was no good and she gave it chances before BUT I had to go since seeing a friend's Instagram picture of their breakfast. So we went later that day for an early dinner on a Saturday night. The place recommends you make a reservation so we did. It wasn't need the place was deader then a doornail. Nice place and was seated in a booth which we requested. We all shared the mac and cheese balls my boyfriend who is an all American kind of guy liked them but me and my mom weren't impressed. We all decided to order our own pizza which was the biggest mistake. My mom ordered the margarita pizza which is hard to mess up. There was barely any cheese or sauce or basil for that matter making it a wafer of nothing for the nice cost of 15.00. I decided to order the mushroom truffle pizza which was so nasty. Just a thin layer of cheese and a few cold scattered mushrooms it was so gross I won't give it to my dog. My boyfriend had the best probably with the Italian pizza. The 'grande' pepperoni tho is regular so don't be fooled. We all decided since we were hungry from leaving our pizza we wanted desert. My mom and boyfriend ordered the donuts and I ordered the banana cream pie. Mind you it took 30 min to get ALL the deserts so they only comped the donuts? Didn't get that. The donuts were fried balls of dough my boyfriend who had no kitchen experience said he could make better. Mine was alright. Different kinda pie I'm a oreo lover but it was nothing to write home about. Sorry but this place sucks mac and cheese balls! Not gonna last. Too bad I was looking forward to a new place.

Finally!! I've lived in this area for over 20 years and it's pretty much a ghost town when it comes to REAL FOOD quality restaurants, places comparable to the west side or downtown. Well thank goodness that's finally changed. The Six is a lively warm environment in the old Gaetanos spot. It was packed on a Tuesday night. Had the salmon carpaccio which was lovely and had a great mix of tiny diced (brunoise) raw veg on top. Guest had the mac/cheese fritters. Sinful. I had the chicken pot pie which was straight out of France. A real classic stew with fresh herbs, white wine and no dairy in the gravy. It was actually light! And the crust was perfect. My guest had the short ribs which was a beautiful single piece braised in a red wine sauce with veg. We split the S'mores tart which came in a tiny cast iron skillet. We got out of there before the calorie police arrived, feeling slightly guilty but looking forward to the next time. We will be regulars for sure.

Finally a fantastic restaurant in this space! It's been a long time coming! Great atmosphere...love the decor very warm and inviting ....the sloppy joe sliders were great - the chicken meatballs were a 10...service was great and love the General Manager Marcus! Made a large party feel right at home and look out for all the little details! Thanks for a great night out!!

We went there at 5:30 on a Sunday night. Pretty empty. Maybe 5 tables full and 3 or 4 waiters working. They sat us and then we never saw them again. No "welcome to The Six" or "Can I get you some drinks?" 2 or 3 waitresses passed us several times, and then went to go chat with each other in the back room. So after 15 minutes of wondering "Are we invisible?" we left. The hostess didn't even get off the phone to ask why we were leaving. So we never tried the food and went to Island's instead. The service is almost as rude and indifferent as the place next door, Pedaler's Fork. Skip 'em both and drive a little further to a good restaurant like Tuscany in Westlake or Tra Di Noi in Malibu.

Had dinner here tonight on a whim since it's close to my house. For a Thursday night at 8pm, it was packed. Got seated in the middle of a small and LOUD room at a crappy table. I ordered the vanilla beets and short rib tacos, my fiancé ordered the steak. We had some wine which was actually really good, but I can't say the same about the food. First of all, I think the employees are too busy to listen to what you ask for. My salad came out at the same time as my food. I asked for no onions on my tacos yet they came with onion. My fiancé asked for a dipping sauce for his fries other than ketchup and they just brought more ketchup. Whatever, these things aren't a big deal, but they don't add to the experience. The food was just ok. The portions are tiny. We ended up paying $80 including tip and I left hungry. Overpriced food for small portions. The food wasn't even that tasty or memorable. Meh.

I am so excited there us another casual restaurant with a bar you can feel comfortable just to hang out in in calabasas. I couldn't get a reservation on a Saturday night, so a friend and I just decided to go hang and eat at the bar. I had the short rib tacos, mushroom pizza. Both were yummy! I'd order them again. But the Mac n cheese fritters were so so. The meatballs were ok ... Nothing to write home about. It got really crowded with what looks like a local crew. There was a lot of wait staff at the bar too so we got a lot of attention. Try the " mule ". Yummy cocktail with a good kick of ginger! I'll be back again soon!

Went with a girlfriend for lunch midweek. Arrived at 12 noon and only one other couple in the restaurant. We stood waiting wondering where the host was for 5 mins while the couple at the bar, 2 young girls, sat and chatted. Finally one of them stood up and asked if we wanted a table! They were the hostesses!!!! Very blase attitude continued throughout the meal. Took away the cup and left the saucer for a coffee refill and slapped the cup back down on the saucer! What happened to bringing over the coffee and pouring it, or taking the whole cup and saucer away for a refill? No bread offered, we had to ask. At least the bus boy gave us water and kept it filled up. Although I had to ask twice for a napkin (which looked like a dirty stripey threadbare towel) and cutlery so I could actually eat without using my fingers! I ordered salmon salad with quinoa, grapefruit and curried cashews. It was odd. The salad was OK but it was ruined by quinoa tossed through it so it had an unusual texture. Couldn't taste any dressing whatsoever. I asked for the salmon medium and it came out cooked through fully. At $17 for a lunchtime salad it was more expensive than most of the high end places in Westlake Village and I couldn't eat it as the taste/texture was awful. I wasn't impressed at all with this restaurant. The decor is tacky kitsch, Audrey Hepburn and other cutouts on the lights, badly painted murals on the walls, booths were OK but the back room looked like it had been outfitted by WalMart with camp chairs and rickety tables with the odd nice armchair thrown in to bring up the tone. I won't be back. Food, decor and service are all sub-par. They won't last with the competition around the area.

We went out to dinner here on a Saturday night and had a really great time! The food was delicious. We ordered the cauliflower appetizer (amazing), the mixed green salad which was one of the best mixed greens salads I've ever had at a restaurant and a pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious. The place was full so we sat in the back area where they have sofas, and had a really fun and yummy evening.

My family and I went here for my brothers birthday. And we were all disappointed with the service and food. It took them an extremely long time to bring our food out. Dinner for my niece's birthday. Reserved a table for 5:30, and by 6:00 the restaurant/bar was packed. Had the hamburger which was very good, and a delicious dessert of complimentary banana pudding (just check in on yelp and it's offered free) also some great tasting churros. Very noisy place when full of people.

So this is one of those places that treat certain people better than you if they don't know you. First impression I walked in and they seat us in this awkward long table for me and my boyfriend. I ask for a booth because for some reason I feel more comfortable whenever I have a booth. Usually it's no problem at all, but the hostess tells us that all of the booths are reserved. Ok I get that, so I just ask our waitress when she comes by if there's any booth available. Nope, same thing. I settle for the awkward table. We order our food and wait for it to come. Another couple comes in and gets seated at a similar table and they ask for a booth and they get the booth no problem. I notice that me and my boyfriend get treated differently at a lot of places because of how young we are but still, we are paying customers. Everyone should have equal treatment. So we get our food. It's all very good. We order the Brussels sprouts and their beef tacos as a starter. They are both delicious dishes. Our pizza comes and it is very delicious. I give this place 2 stars because of this reason, good food. But service was not nice at all. By the end of our meal we see that almost every booth is still open, it really upsets me because I am never comfortable sitting in the middle of a restaurant. I know it's not a huge deal to some but to me it helps ease me at a new place. Don't know if I will come back because of service.

I would give it 3.5 if I could. The food is creative and the atmosphere is nice. The good is just ok not amazing. I had the turkey burger. Hubby had the short ribs which were not the greatest. The Brussel sprouts were greasy. We also had the cauliflower and s flatbread. It's s cool vibe. The menu is interesting and the service was good.

Am I the only one who hears "The Six" and thinks of Drake and his love for T-dot (Toronto) aka The 6??? (+) The crispy Buffalo cauliflower was awesome for an appetizer. The buffalo flavor is legit and it's part of the breading, while ranch sauce is served on the side. Definitely worth coming back for. (-) The fried brussel sprouts were ok, a bit greasy and surprisingly heavy. Our table didn't finish this one. (+) Halibut was cooked well, the spicy red curry sauce with it was really good. (-) Pricey fish, $27 for this dinner entree (-) Flatbread pizza was alright, probably not order again. (+) Banana cream pie for dessert was even better than the churros, and it was free with a Yelp check-in!

I've been seeing The Six restaurant name popping up everywhere! So I thought, why the hell not. We came here in celebration of my bday with the office. We started with The Six Mac n' Cheese Fritters - six cheeses, chipotle peach bbq sauce, ranch. What's not to love? Gourmet Mac 'n Cheese, breaded and deep fried! Yum! We had a party of 8 or so. Most of my co-worked know I like to try stuff...and sharing is caring. . Those at my table ordered: Mushroom Pizza - tapenade, !mozzarella, truffle oil Three Cheese Pizza - tomato sauce, basil, mozzarella, parmesean, provolone The Signature "Six" Burger - brioche bun, tomato, Maytag Blue Cheese, Onion Rings, Butter lettuce, thousand island, hand cut fries Grilled Chicken Club - Nine grain brread, basil aioli, Swiss cheese, avocado, tomato bacon, hand cut fries Grilled Vegetable Sandwich - eggplant, bell peppers, zucchini, tomato, mozzarella, almond pesto, hand cut fries None of the above were extraordinary but they were good. The Short Rib Grilled Chese - braised short rib, cheddar, swiss, parmesean, pickled onion, hand cut fries however, was exquisite. Great flavor in the short rib. Bbq sauce added great tang. I think I would have enjoyed a different cheese but my co-worker loves Swiss cheese and it hit her g-spot just right. Parking is a little difficult but there's a valet lot next to the sushi restaurant that's USUALLY free during the week for lunch. It's never free for dinner.

THE SERVICE SUCKS 95% of the TIME. **I will preface this by saying a manager did swing by at the end of our meal and asked how our experience was. We were honest that the service was bad. He did remove a drink from our bill. This was a nice gesture certainly. However, given that there has been continued poor service (except by the female wait staff on Sundays), we have to leave this review. We used to love this place but the servers are hit or miss -MOSTLY miss. Came in yesterday, were seated promptly, and it was 15 minutes before we were even greeted. Fifteen minutes with no water, no, "I'll be right with you." Nothing. We had a reservation at 2:45pm. In my reservation I even commented how much I loved their establishment. Not anymore. 30 minutes without even a drink. Still waiting. I asked for WATER and it took ANOTHER 10 minutes to arrive. Seriously? That's twenty five minutes without a beverage. The server had no clue what a Haystack was. One of the more popular items. She said maybe it was a weekend item. OK. Is it off the menu permanently? No clue. A nice, younger guy drops our food. Apologizes. Our server never returns to ask how the food is. My drink is empty. No refill offered until it had been sitting empty for 15 minutes. They honestly need to hire better, more attentive servers. The hostesses are always great and some of the waitresses on the weekends are super good, but all in all - the service has changed my mind about returning here except on rare occasions.

The Six is a cute little restaurant/ bar in Calabasas and there's a Studio City location as well. They have a lot of foods that sound good on the menu that are made with different ingredients but I've never been super impressed with the taste. It's above average but nothing too special. I've been for breakfast which was probably the best meal I've had here. The short rib taco appetizer is decent but the flavors are overall just lacking. They have a good variety of pizzas that are tasty as well. The food is always served very attractively but then the taste disappoints. I would come back if they offered a groupon again but otherwise I would choose to eat somewhere else. The service tends to be really slow and the waiters are not very friendly or attentive. I think the six has potential to be better and if it improves I'd go more often because it's a really nice setting and close to home!

Pros: No wait. Cons: No wait.... anymore. That's not moving in the right direction. Ah yes, 'Gastropub'. Every bar/restaurant that can't seem to define it's food has gone Gastropub. Simply put, this is a bar that serves food. It's clear they are making the bulk of the income on alcohol and rightfully so. It's my third visit. I don't like to review when I'm not really sure, and quite frankly, I'm still not really sure. Their specialty is a thinner crusted pizza; we ordered one. I was curious about the cauliflower 'buffalo wings'. Got one. And of course, a salad, in this case a 'Thai' salad. Perhaps the larger mistake of the evening, after all, I'm not in a Thai restaurant. Seated immediately and we waited, and waited, and waited to see anyone. The establishment was moderately busy at both the front and back bars, with approximately 90% of the tables full. I noticed the entire staff having some sort of meeting by the register, albeit giggling, while an entire restaurant was wondering what the heck was going on. Come on management, you know better, especially a franchise. The board meetings are reserved for pre-service and post-service. When our server did arrive, she apologized stating, 'we're a little backed up'. Food: Cauliflower, totally fun and tasty. Thumbs up. Pizza, well I suppose it tasted okay. Salad, skip that one. My drink, reasonable. The bill: $93 with tip. Well, now, that's not okay. I have no problem spending the money where it's worth it, but this? The good news: restauranteurs are coming. Calabasas has money and people aren't afraid to spend it. There are only a handful of edible locations around the area, but that is changing quickly. It's building around there and the beauty of competition is it weeds out the weak. Happy eating!

I've heard good things about this place, so I'm hoping I was just there on an off-day. The good: Great ambiance, loved the set-up, loved the staff. The meh: A bit expensive. Just a touch on the high side, but not out of line for the area. The bad: We ordered French Toast with an egg in the middle. It was so positively blah. Just dull as dishwater. The bacon was limp and sparse. On the upside, the potatoes were tasty, but so what? I think it set us back $14. Forget it. Again, a lot of other people like this place, so take this review with a grain of salt. May have just been a one- off.

I cannot stress enough how utterly puke worthy the chicken and waffles are. I'm astounded at how anyone could make them that disgusting. You have been warned. The service: Top Notch. Great servers and timely. The atmosphere: excellent The food: meh. I've been here 3 times now. I got the roasted chicken the first time and it was really good. The 2nd time I got chicken and waffles and I'm really not joking when I say this, McDonalds could have done a better job. They should take that off their menu it's an embarrassment to their establishment. The last time I went I got the Thai Cob Salad and that wasn't the greatest either. I don't think they know how peanut dressing is supposed to taste like. It isn't supposed to taste like vinegar. All the apps I've had here are really good. The avocado crostini is more like avocado bread not a crostini but that's ok, it tasted delish. And the mac and cheese puffs are good too. The only thing that saved the restaurant from a 1 or 2 are their servers and the apps. They do have excellent service.

Came here for happy hour before dinner. The main reason we came is that I saw online they carry the famous Pappy Van Winkle. However, when we asked for it, we were told they were out, and not sure when they would have it again. None of the other whiskeys or bourbons looked very intriguing. The Six touts itself as a Bourbon Bar, but I did not find it very impressive. We did order a couple appetizers that were good. We had the buffalo cauliflower and the meatballs. The Buffalo sauce was great,so I would recommend those. As far the meatballs, they were good, but nothing special. The happy hour is a good deal, so i do suggest giving it a try. I was just disappointed in the bar selection.

  • Marian M.

The host was beautiful and smiling and very accomadating to any of my requests. The waiter we had was amazing and when he suggested the bacon donuts, he was so kind to bring us donut hole samples so wonderfully prepared. We were too full to order a full order but they were delish! We sat at the bar for game 6 LeBron vs Warriors. (SORRY LeBron ) The bar back wasn't friendly and was very busy. The bartender Ali was a bit off putting. Everything I ordered she later criticized in front of me to another guest saying how she doesn't eat those things. She was good about getting my first drink but again later told a guest she doesn't drink what I was drinking. The drink was weak so I decided to order beers which the bar back eventually got to me. Not sure what her deal was but when I go to a bar I atleast expect a smile and don't want to hear about all the things you don't like that I obviously do & have already ordered. A bit rude in my opinion. The food though! Halibut Tacos for taco Tuesday were mouthwatering. The bathrooms were comfortable & clean. I saw someone ordered a huge Burger I want to order next time.

My first time here. We experienced happy hour at its finest. The drinks were phenomenal and the food was excellent. Because we only ordered appetizers I'm giving this place 4 stars. We ordered the following Brussle sprouts Buffalo califlower Mussels Short rib tacos Short rib tacos Short rib tacos Yes I wrote that three times because they were so freakin good we kept ordering them. A definite must try! A pleasant time here, I will definitely come back and hopefully enjoy a full dinner.

I recently visited The Six for lunch and was extremely displeased with the service. It was a Sunday afternoon when I visited and the restaurant was not at all full. There were about 2 tables outside and about 3 occupied tables inside. There were at least two servers from what I could tell, 2 bartenders, 2 food runners, 2 busboys, the hostess and occasionally I caught a glimpse of what I assumed was the owner. With that said, my fiance and I, sat down and ordered a beer, fried brussel sprouts as an appetizer, a Greek salad and a burger. First and foremost, it took our waitress at least 15 minutes to initially approach us for drinks. Eventually she took our drink order and disappeared for another 10 minutes before she came back with our drinks and to take our food order. Next, we were given a brunch menu. I asked for a lunch menu and was told that "if they had the ingredients for what I wanted off the lunch menu, they would be able to accommodate my order". I'm not sure what kind of a restaurant that's open for lunch doesn't have the ingredients necessary to make the items on their menu, but OK, sure, I'll go along with that. Of course, they didn't have the ingredients so I ended up with a Greek salad. The salad was tasty. A little on the smaller side however, it was good. My fiances burger was also good. I really can't complain about the food. It was good. Now, as for our appetizer... I think it would've been great if we got our appetizer BEFORE our meal and NOT AFTER OUR MEAL and NOT AFTER we tell the runner that we still hadn't received our appetizer when he brought out our food and said, "I'm sorry, I'll go check on that" and then disappears. Not to mention that I had to stop eating my lunch and personally go up to the hostess and ask for her to find our waitress. When our waitress finally appears, she too goes to check on our appetizer. At this point, I'm frustrated because no one came around to ask us if we would like another round of drinks, if we needed any condiments for our food. I had to get up and get salt and pepper myself from a few tables down. I'm really not sure why we even had a waitress. I could've gone to the bar myself, ordered my drinks and sat down and waited for my food. I'd like to believe that this was just an off day but I'm having a hard time with that. Other people came in after us and were attended to by the other waitress/staff. I'm sure their food, drinks and appetizers all came out just fine and on time. Last but certainly not least, our waitress gave us an incorrect bill. She had charged us for the item that I had ordered, that the kitchen couldn't accommodate. After all that, the least I would expect is an apology on her behalf or something where she seems to take a little bit of responsibility for everything that went south. Regardless if the kitchen screwed up our appetizer portion or not, she is a representative of the establishment and should take it upon herself to make sure that the customers are happy and well taken care of.

Came for brunch with two girlfriends. $25 each before tip for a bottle of Prosecco and an entree each. Got there about 11a on a Sunday and had the place to ourselves. Lovely staff. They were experimenting in the kitchen and brought a piece of flatbread with eggs and sausage for us to try. Very yummy! Need an all you can drink mimosa option then it's a five star.

Loved the happy hour at The Six - it goes until 6pm on weeknights! Everything half off for the first three categories on their dinner menu (To Share, Starters and The Six Pizzas). We all LOVED the Ahi Tuna Tartar - we initially ordered two for a group of 9, and ended up ordering two or three more. They were served on wonton crisps, so they were a bit difficult to eat, but messy food tastes better anyways! The buffalo style cauliflower was tender and not over or under cooked, and the bet part? It tasted just like buffalo wings - and came with a delicious ranch sauce to balance it out. Healthy way to satisfy a buffalo wings craving. Our group also tried the Sloppy Joe's sliders which were VERY messy, and a bit too spicy for our taste. The mushroom tapenade pizza was also quite delicious - it had some truffle oil on it! Great service - they even advised us how much time we had to order off the happy hour menu. Someone in our group found a hair in her BLT, and the manager comp'ed her drinks, food and the food/drinks for her friend. So it was nice that they took complaints seriously. Parking - there's a $3.50 lot just next door where you can park your car and pay the attendant. I loved that I could keep my own keys and not worry about them getting into my car.

I like this place alot. Good ambiance good management and the short rib tacos are addicting. Sometimes i just order a bunch of those for dinner. They have specialty beer too which is good.

I must say that I really enjoyed this place. We came around 5:30 on Friday, still there was plenty of seating. The weather was very nice, which I suggest eating outside if possible. We were seated in the back located near the Bourbon Room. This is available for private parties, has nice couches, tables and private bar. I highly suggest to make reservations for this. My boyfriend and I ended up getting the following: Prince Edward Mussels $13.00 Coconut green curry, spinach, tomato and a couple of pieces of bread. - This had great flavors! Really hit the spot, only downfall is that it was a little on the salty side. But I would definitely order it again! Heirloom Flatbread $14.00 Heirloom tomato, avocado, burrata, balsamic reduction, basil - I really enjoyed this dish, had all the ingredients that I enjoy. I would recommend that they add more Burrata and Balsamic. Overall, great service, quick and easy! I will be returning.

There are a few different categories on the menu with six varieties in each category...hence The Six. All the food we had was delicious! The pesto gnocchi (add chicken) was possibly the best I've ever had - we finished every drop of that very fresh & garlicky pesto! The heirloom tomato flatbread with burrata and the garlic fries were winners! Very busy and the entry way was not well thought out at all but the food was great. Valet parking seemed to be the only option at the busy hour. Would definitely come back next time I'm in town. Oh - and how could I almost forget. THAT BANANA OREO DESSERT! Free with check-in on yelp!

I've eaten at The Six about five times now. Two stars for pretty good food most of the time. The service is really mediocre here. And there is no free parking unless you want to be the only person/people walking, literally blocks away. Tonight I walked into an empty restaurant (Saturday night) was seated promptly. After waiting a while, the hostess came by apologizing because she forgot to tell our waitress we were there. Then a bus boy came by and started taking our menus. I told him we hadn't ordered yet, but he still took them. We had to have the waitress bring menus back to us, then she left which ended up being an extra 10-15 minutes before we were able to order. Their mac n' cheese fritters & buffalo cauliflower appetizers are both on point every time. I also got their "Potato Crusted Salmon" ($27) tonight... but it was not potato crusted. It was different than the previous times I've ordered it and under-seasoned. For dessert, I ordered their 'special,' a "6 Layer Chocolate Cake" which ended up being nothing like the description on the menu. I won't be coming back here. There are better places to eat with better service on the same block.

Honestly this place was so amazing! We went with a group of four and ordered only appetizers and all of them were delicious. The highlight of the meal was the corn, it was so good that we ordered another one. The place was cool too they had a live band but keep in mind that it's pretty loud if you get the table next to where they play. Over all I would definitely go back to The Six over and over again.

The Six gets 2 stars for their food, and their food alone. The service is very disappointing and the restaurant lacking in cleanliness. This morning was my fifth dining experience at The Six, and I waited until now to write a review in the hopes that the service might improve, but unfortunately it's only gotten worse. I first had to send my coffee back because they served it to me in a filthy coffee mug. We waited 45 minutes for scrambled eggs and I had to walk into the restaurant (we were seated on the outdoor patio) to ask for water and coffee refills after sitting outside with empty cups for 30 minutes The restaurant was completely empty with at least 4 staff members standing around the bar. Additionally, the bathroom had no toilet paper - and there were wet paper towels strewn all over the sink and floor-- I found this extremely disturbing being that the restaurant had only been open for an hour-- which tells me they don't bother cleaning the bathrooms the night before OR the morning of. Disgusting. On prior visits service has been slow, our bill was incorrect on another occasion, however I tried to overlook some of these issues because the food is quite good-- after today's experience we will not be back.

We went to the farmer's market today. Wanted to try something new. The place was great. The ambiance was great. We ordered the braised beef tacos, scrambled eggs, and the chicken and waffles. Everything was good except the chicken and waffles. I would say that this was the worst chicken and waffles I've ever had! $17 for chicken and waffles! Chicken was super dry! The waffle was like a thin crust pizza. It was a waste! Although do try the beef tacos, it was delicious but stay away from the chicken and waffles.

What a disappointment.... Dined here for brunch yesterday with a group of 10. We had reservations at 12:30. The lady who took our reservations was so nice and accommodating. We arrived and got seated. The majority of our party were on time with the exception of 2. We sat and sat and sat and no one came by for about 20 minutes to acknowledge us, bring us menus and take our drink orders. Let's mention that the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Our friend finally got up to go get us menus and tell the front host to send someone. Here came a server by the name of Lauren. Completely dazed! She walked over and without any welcome, she proceeded to take our drink orders. We also put in our appetizer orders because we didn't know when she would come back to ask for that. Anyhow, about 30 minutes passed by and our drinks still never came out. Our friend went to chase down the host to ask her to send our waitress to us. Finally, Lauren comes out with the drinks and after the first drink she put down, she proceeded to say verbatim "is there a problem? I get the feeling you guys don't want to be here. Our restaurant is very busy and we are short staffed. But if there is a problem and you guys don't want to be here, then??!" What???? What are you saying? Are you asking us to leave? We were shocked! Our jaws dropped? Who says that to their guests? Is it our fault, we asked for plates and utensils to eat our appetizers? Sorry we asked for water? Was asking for ketchup for my truffle fries too much? My husband interfered and told her that we are sorry she is overwhelmed but a little acknowledgement would have suffice. Anyhow, we continued and tried to make the best of it but it just for worse. As time passed, so much more happened. She spilled an entire glass of mimosa on the back of our guy friend when she was trying to put it down on the table. His entire shirt and chair was soaked. Again, she didn't apologize. She just brought a towel and tapped it on his back and said verbatim "oh it's okay, it's just a few drops" what!!?!?!!!! What are you talking about???? He is soaked! You don't want to apologize? The bus boy who kept bringing us water was even more concerned and brought napkins and apologized and asked if we are okay. Let's get down to the food!!!! Here is what we ordered for the table. 4 truffle fries 1 Apple smoked bacon cheddar cheese waffle 3 waffle sliders 1 Thai Cobb salad 3 short rib tacos 1 BLT sand which 2 egg white scramble 1 Malibu burrito 1 Brussels sprouts 2 buffalo cauliflower 3 Bloody Mary bars 2 bottomless mimosas (which took almost an 30 minutes to refill) if it's bottomless and we are paying $20 per person, then you should keep bringing them!!!! Everything we ordered came out cold and soggy and disgusting. We were so disappointment because this place came highly recommended for their service and food. The only thing we enjoyed was the salad. Even their bloody Mary's were tasteless. What a horrific experience. Even the other host and other staff realized how disappointed we were that they came and apologized on her behalf. Not once did she came to ask how everything was? If there is anything she can do for us? NOTHING!!!! We told her about the yelp check in and how you get a free dessert. She brought out the dessert and the check! That's it. We paid, she didn't thank us and we left. We left at almost 3pm. 3 hours of what felt like a bad movie! We will probably never come here again. Ever! With so many options nearby for brunch and another location in Studio City, it will taken a village or a good management team to get us back here and spend another $500. A note to management, so sad for you!

First time here and got only appetizers. Got the turkey sloppy joes, buffalo cauliflowers, and braised short-rib tacos. All excellent! Got the free banana cream pie dessert for checking in using yelp and loved it. I'm still finishing my drink but already looking forward to my next visit. Props to our server Sarah!

Came here with a friend and had an awesome indoor seat with street view. Great for people watching and just enjoying the summer sun! Dinner consisted of BBQ cauliflower, braised short rib tacos and Royale pizza. Thanks to checking in via yelp, I also got a free banana cream pie that was to die for! The food was awesome!!! Every food dish was perfectly executed, the owner came by to check up on us and they gave us a seat without reservations on a busy night. 5 stars for service, food and drinks!!

I've been here a few times since it opened, and I have not been to the original, so this review is solely based on my experience at the Calabasas location. The food is good, though the sandwiches are very large, in clear violation of the "you have to be able to pick it up and get your mouth around it" rule. The salads are also large, I had the Greek salad on one visit and noticed it is served inverted, so I highly recommend stirring it up or even (gasp) tossing it a bit before you dig in so you don't just get a mouthful of undressed greens. Service is... um... trendy? Half the time I feel ignored, and the other half I feel like an imposition. When you are trying to get the bill at lunch it's almost like they are avoiding eye contact... I highly recommend that once your food is delivered you ask for the check, I did that last time and it worked out pretty well. I like the fact that you can sit outdoors, and they also have good iced tea!

A very disappointing experience, though judging by the full room and the line waiting to get in, others frankly like the place. The NOISE level was beyond acceptable. Having a conversation was difficult (I found it impossible). Food was ordinary at best. I ordered the fried chicken with a waffle and it seemed like they toasted an Eggo waffle. Drinks came late, after the meal was served. But, people seem to not care, and that's okay. But felt it necessary to share this -- because others may care.

The hub bub of being the new place in town has died down, and what is left is a pretty good little gastropub in "downtown" Calabasas. Based loosely on "six" of items, like entrees, pizzas, appetizers, beers, etc. the theme may be a little contrived, but it works. Our epicurean friends joined us last night for a walk through the menu. We've all been here before, and each experience has been solid. This experience was no different. When you arrive you'll find valet parking right next door at $3.50. Usually I am not a valet fan, but with limited parking and the busy Sagebrush Cantina across the street you can bypass the search for limited street parking and simply pull up and go. Nice. The restaurant has been different things over the years, and The Six has updated the space to a kind of urban chic, dimly lit with dark tones throughout. There are curbside tables on the street fro al fresco dining, and when you walk in the front door you'll find a familiar bar directly in front of you, dark but interestingly lit in orange and rustic lighting, TV's sporting whatever game is on tonite. The dining space is open and dark with lots of tacky TVs at about eye level on the walls The TVs are behind the tables oddly showing looped video of a fireplace, burning wood in full faux glory. Ugh. The back room is kinda cool with a full bar. The food is the reason you come to The Six. A big star on the menu is the crust. Flatbreads and pizzas are done on a nearly perfect, slightly burnt (wonderfully so) crust. It's that good. Topped with your standard cheeses or with specialty items you can't go wrong if you love flatbread and pizza. Brussel sprouts and Buffalo cauliflower appy's also exceed expectations, so put them on your short list of things to try. The drinks at The Six are pretty good, too. Of course you can get just about any mixed drink your heart desires, but there are six drink specials like the Mule which are all expertly prepared and very tasty. Currently Yelp has a free banana pudding cake as a "thank you" freebie, and it is quite good, too. Don't forget to check in on Yelp to get that offer. With hamburgers at $16 and pizzas around $12 you'll find The Six can be a bit expensive but usually about on mark for a gastropub with fresh, creative menu selections. Service over several visits is young but attentive and mostly efficient. The low point is the service by the bus staff - somber and silent - but I can overlook in an overall fun dining experience.

Yummy we came here to get brunch for my best friends birthday. On yelp it says they open at 10am on Saturday for brunch but when we arrived the sign said 11am, which wasn't to bad because they had a farmers market going on. The parking was a little difficult because of the farmers market. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Our food was delicious!!!! I order the waffle sliders which was waffle sandwich with eggs, bacon and cheese with syrup to dip it in! It was perfect! My best friend order the classic waffles which was also really good. It came with this cream that was amazing on top of the waffles. Only thing I wish is that it came with hash browns or some form of side. They have a good special for Saturday brunch which is $20 for unlimited mimosas or you can get Bloody Mary. Overall it was great food for a good price! Can't wait to come here at night

Excellent banana cream pie!! Great Mac n'cheese fritters and basically everything we tried was good. My only suggestion is that they provide a real stout on their menu, since they are a gastropub. A dark ale doesn't cut it for me ...

First impressions are so important and unfortunately they did not do a good job. My wife had been here before and raved about it. I checked in with reservations and the girl stated it would be a couple of minutes. Then 2 more groups came in after us and they they were seated right away. Then I said something to the hostess and she said they had reservations before us and that they were late. They then wanted to seat us at the first table which was in the bar with a wall blocking part of the table. I said that I was not happy with their choice of tables and were told that because we were only a party of 2 they only had a few choices for us. So keep in mind, you must have a party of 4 or more on a Saturday night if you would like a decent table. We were finally seated with a better table and the hostess did come by with an apology, unfortunately it came off very insincere. The service was ok, they always had issues of what table the food and drinks were to go and the food was ok. We loved the crispy Brussel Sprouts but the burger which was too overpowering with the blue cheese and one of the slices of pizza was too burnt to be eaten. Sorry, but for the prices they charged I won't be back.

Ordered the burger + chicken and waffles, both were super disappointing. Burger was well cooked when ordered as a medium, on a bun that was super stale. Tasted like it had been sitting out for a few days. Chicken was tasteless and kind of burnt. Waffles were soggy. Two stars because the dessert (free with check in!) was delicious, banana creme pie with an Oreo crust. Live music was good too.

Crispy brussels sprouts are divine. Roast beets with Burrata is top notch. Check in on Yelp for free dessert. Excellent deals at Happy Hour 3-6 daily, half off many dishes and drinks. Non happy hour prices a little high but not dreadful. They were accommodating to our service dog. We'll be back!

Great food! Must try the Mac & cheese fritters, short rib tacos, and banana cream pie is beyond amazing! The service though was beyond terrible!!! We went in at around 5:00 when it wasn't crowded but the server (Sarah) was inattentive and very slow. Our experience at the studio city location was completely different; food tastes better and service was much better.

Tried this place for the first time this past Sunday for brunch. The experience definitely left a bad taste in my mouth! First off we had a waitress who was in another world. I mean she must have been high or something. Second she was pretty rude, asking us if we wanted to be there or if we had a problem. I felt like she wanted us gone. We were a group of 10 people, anything and everything we ordered (including just water) took an extreextremely long time to be brought to our table. Our waitress barely acknowledged us, I had to walk to the front of the restaurant and tell her we are ready. Third, she had the nerve to mock one of our friends. Like who does she think she is? Mocking guests asking if we want to leave basically?! I can't believe they have a person like this working there. Here's the best part (not literally), she straight spilled champagne on one of our friends, took 5 minutes to get napkins ohh I'm sorry their cleaning towels and then said to him "oh its ok, it's just a few drops." WOW! Like really?! Was she high???? Or just plain rude? I need to know. Where was the manager in all this? Most restaurants when things like that happen, the manager on shift usually would approach and make sure everything ok after. No one came or cared. I didn't order any alcohol (and I'm glad I didn't), but everyone who did complained that either they couldn't taste the alcohol or that it tasted funny. Food......I've definitely had better! First off our food came out cold. I ordered the Waffle Sliders, after hearing good things about them. My order was cold and my waffles were soggy. One of our friends ordered the egg white scramble and it was all watery. Honestly I was very disappointed with our experience. This experience makes me feel like the owner(s) don't about who's waiting on their customers. With people like our waitress I'm shocked this place still exists. And this is me being nice. She definitely deserved a good smack across her face to wake up and not be so rude!

I Yelped the Six when it first opened with a GR8 Yelp. We have been back 10 or 12 times since but tonight was a real disappointment. Known for their pizza's and flatbread and Brusselsprouts they must have lost their chef. The pizza's were terrible, heavy, chewy crusts, with little toppings, the flatbread was so-so and the BrusselSprouts were not like before. The drinks cost a lot more then what they are worth but the small wine list is priced right. Too bad since we took friends from out of town and they felt that the pizza is no better then Pizza Kitchen. The service was good and friendly but the food left a lot to be desired. I noticed that the place was not busy, but the Sagebrush across the street was jumping. Something happened at the Six not for the better. Calabasas and the surrounding area has a lot of choices so the Six has a lot of competition and in my opinion they are going downhill.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. They figured it out! Great food/ great beer and very friendly service. The decor is simple, warm and inviting. The happy hour is the bomb! My two favorite things are beer and pho. I was so happy to see it on the menu - tho it really isn't pho/ramen it's more like green curry surprise. I hope they fix that and have real pho. Don't get me wrong- I ate every bite and it was delicious. No pho tho. The pizzas are the best I've had in a long time. Will be back weekly!

The Six has good food and, if you are not in a hurry, you can have a very pleasant evening here. I particularly like the fact that it is OK to bring your dog here and eat out front on the patio. Their appetizers and side dishes are creative and delicious. The only reason holding me back from giving this place 4 stars was the speed and quality of the service. Now we weren't in a hurry (we rarely are these days) so I didn't really mind the slow service - just gave us more time to talk. But I could see where the service would drive some people crazy. Everyone was nice enough - just glacially slow to take our order and to refill our glasses, etc. The mushroom pizza was very tasty with plenty of mushrooms on an extremely thin crust. And the turkey sliders were also delicious - with a spicy and sweet taste served on a mini-bun. The Brussels Sprouts are amazing (and I'm generally not a fan) and for those with lower cholesterol, I recommend the deep fried mac & cheese. Delicious! And the "free with check-in" banana cream pie was a nice balance of chocolate crust to not too sweet banana. Worth the trip. The wait staff should really be better trained - especially for their Calabasas clientele which probably demand much more attentive service.

I used to enjoy having dinner here with my wife or friends, but the last few attempts have been ho-hum. Recently, I made a reservation online for our group and we had to wait 45 min for the table. We figure it was a busy Saturday night, so we grabbed a drink at the bar. We checked in with the hostesses every so often and we were told twice that the table was being set. At our third attempt, the hostess said "Oh" and suddenly had a table for us in the back. We sat down and the server greeted us with a hello and the kitchen closes at 10pm so you need to place an order. The food was decent, but no apologies or acknowledgement of an error by any of the staff, who were usually too busy talking to each other than assisting customers. I really used to enjoy eating here and supporting a local restaurant, but it was just disappointing.

Went there at 10:30 for a quick late night drink and bite. There was a classic rock band playing in the back and the place was pretty packed. We decided to sit away from the music since it was hubby and I'd date night away from the kids. I guess after 10 they only serve flat breads and pizzas, we ordered an Italian and a roasted chicken with gluten free thin crust and a couple beers. The Italian was ok but the roasted chicken was real yummy. Beers were great! Our server was super attentive and came around quite often. We were very pleased with the ambience, food and service. Will come back for their dinner and lunch menu.

I love The Six in Calabasas. I usually get the Braised Short Rib Tacos as a starter, which are always top notch. I've had the Roasted Mary's chicken, which was excellent. During today's visit, I had the Thai Cobb Salad as well as some of my friends Royale pizza, both of which were delicious! This Calabasas location has valet parking to the left of the restaurant (if you're looking at it), for which I paid $3.50. We got there around 6:15pm and it wasn't too busy, but wasn't empty either. It was the perfect amount of people. Our food came really fast. The space is really great and the bar motif is fun! The service was great. Our waitress was very nice and did not bombard us with the typical "how is everything tasting here?" There is also free WiFi here. Just ask your waiter for the password. This locations also allows you to order take out online! Just go to the menu page and click on "Order Online" next to the Calabasas location: thesixrestaurant.com/six… I would highly recommend this restaurant in Calabasas.

Now I don't usually leave reviews, I more so use yelp to find places to eat and I go out to eat A LOT but the food at this place was SO GOOD it forced me to write this. The tuna tar tar was absolutely amazing. Their flat bread pizzas were soft and flavorful and the atmosphere / workers were great. This place is my favorite out in the valley.

What a great place to eat! We spent over $100 here but it was well worth it. Went on a Friday night and got there just in time after the rush to get a nice booth for my boyfriend and I. Super comfy. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Nice place for a date night or just to have drinks at the bar. We started off with a few appetizers... 1) Brussel sprouts 2) pho/curry ramen 3) short rib tacos. There were so many we wanted to try! We were told these were the most popular. I loved 2 out of 3. Usually im not a Brussel sprouts eater but these were so good! Great flavor cooked just right. The short rib tacos were awesome, they should give 4 instead of 3 though. Especially if theres a party of 2! I do have to say I wasn't a fan of the ramen. It was a curry sauce and it wasn't very tasty to me. For our main dishes we got chicken and waffles and the trout dish. Im not a big fish fan but my boyfriend appreciated the dish! It was served with lots of veggies. My chicken and waffles were good. The waffles could have been thicker bc they were a little thin. The chicken were like tenders. The hot sauce that came with it had a good spicy kick to it, but couldn't surpass the syrup! Save the best for last! We got Churros for dessert!! Amazing! They were so soft and warm. Not too crispy! It came with 3 dipping sauces. Strawberry, chocolate and dulce de leche. A must get! Great spot!

Great food. Horrible service. Twice in two weeks we came in at 9, only to be turned away. Apparently they randomly close at 8 if they're too slow. It's super annoying when restaurants do this. If you don't want customers to come back, then close your kitchen during published business hours. Business 101: keep regular hours.

I loved this pub! This food was great, the decor was neat and interesting, and the vibe was very cool! We ordered the Buffalo cauliflower to start and the special asparagus soup and both were phenomenal! For our entres we got the salmon and a salad with seared ahi. Unfortunately the ahi smelled fishy and we ended up sending it back, but the salmon was so good they just replaced the ahi with another salmon entre. To finish up the night we got the banana creme pie that had a oreo crust and the churros which come warm with 3 different sauces including chocolate, raspberry, and caramel and both desserts were really really good!!

This is the first time we have been to this location of the six but We have previously eaten at the studio city location. Thankfully the service of the staff at this location was definitely better than my previous experience. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful with suggestions and gave us as much time as we needed to place our order since we were visiting with friends. It's nice to not feel pressured. We ordered the Mac and cheese fritters and the cauliflower (at the suggestion of our waitress) to start with and we weren't disappointed with either. I think we may even have licked the plates! The pizzas and salads were good. The reason I gave 3 stars was because they had run out of two dishes including the Greek salad - how does one run out of Greek salad?!?! That was quite disappointing. Parking - valet or street.

Went there Saturday night with a group of eight. Very cheerful and friendly staff. I did call the manager a few days before our reservation as I had a couple of questions and she/ he never called back tho, so can't give five stars on service. we had: Cauliflower buffalo bites: completely amazing. I've had it before at other places but here it is absolute perfection. crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, perfectly sauced. Fries: good and crispy Flatbread with meatballs: loved it Salmon: dry and overcooked and bland Steak: ordered it medium RARE and it came out like a brick. i didn't eat most of it as my arm got tired of sawing through it. We didn't want to send back the entrees (salmon and steak) that came out bad because then we would be eating after everyone had finished and also, considering they came out so bad the first time, there is little guarantee they would come out better the next time. I would actually go again as I like the ambiance and the appetizers are so delicious. But never for dinner, never again.

From the hostess to the waitress to the food runner, the staff were the epitome of attentive considerate and pleasant. They even pointed my friend and I to the happy hour menu, where we split pizza and a starter for under $20. The grilled peaches with arugula were top notch, and the pizza topped with pears (I forget what it was labeled) was incredible as well! Mixed drinks were strong and delicious, with seasonal specialties to keep things fresh and new. Last but not least, our check-in offer of free banana cream pie was the cherry on top of the whole experience. It was divine! The Six effectively took a hot lazy boring Sunday, and turned it into an adventure of exploring new tastes and laughing with friends. Can't wait to go back, until next time!

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but I couldn't! The service was very slow (for lunch, only one other table that sat with us). The only reason for the 3 stars is the AWFUL service. Seriously, over an hour for lunch???? The cauliflower buffalo thing was amazing! Can't say enough good things! The Caesar salad was a miss, there was no Parmesan crisps or anchovies. Also, the dressing had no flavor and was very oily. The Thai chicken salad was good. Not a lot of chicken, and it was hidden in the bottom under the cabbage. The salads were huge, easily can share them. Dressing was delicious!!! Loved it! Awesome that they have a deal for banana cream cake/pie with a check in. I would come back again, but I wouldn't order the Caesar salad again!

I have been here a couple of times and never disapointed. Great appitzers especially, short rib tacos and sloppy joe sliders. Good pizza's and flatbreads. They have a great drink selection. Burger's are very good. Great decor, great servive.

They have their own version but Try Hendricks gin with grapefruit juice with st germain splash of soda. Becca and James and some of the new crew have great energy. Cool vibe. This is an intimate Local Peasant or Pedalers Fork. It's a Gastro pub Good comfort food. Guilty pleasure stuff. Function room in back. really cool. And the ladies love it. Thursday night karioke is fun.

Had the best meal again tonight. Perfect Fathers Day. Server Sarah was great, she remembered our drink order from last time. Very cool. Again the meal was amazing. Went to the bar for one more drink before leaving. We're the great service continued. Ali and Sarah Thank You. Had a great Father's Day. The Six Is one of the best restaurant I've been too in a long time.

Finally got a chance to check this place out last night and it did not disappoint. Loved the Brussels, Beet Salad, and the mushroom flatbread which I prefer over the pizzas. Next time we tried the spicy "Buffalo" Cauliflower -- also excellent. Happy Hour is a real deal as many items half price but FULL servings. Got a free banana cream pie which was excellent because it had oreo cookie crust FREE with Yelp check in. Hope they keep that tradition up!

  • Yvonne D.

Very friendly service. The waitress knew about every item on the menu which was helpful as first timers. The beet salad was great, the short rib tacos awesome, mushroom pizza good. Bana cream pie heavenly. Definitely will go back to try more items on the menu. Good atmosphere. Very relaxed.

Great ambiance and crowd. However this is the second time I have eaten here and both times me and my dinner partner experienced stomach problems after having the burger. There won't be a third time! Also had to wait a half an hour for a drink which we eventually just canceled.

We were disappointed that our online reservation through Open Table was not received by the restaurant. The hostess reluctantly seated us in the back. When we requested a booth, she said she couldn't accommodate our request, however there was an empty booth across from us throughout our entire meal. The restaurant definitely needs to manage this better. Our server was lovely. Food was good, but we're not in a hurry to go back with the attitude from the hostess.

This restaurant deserves at least 4.5 stars, it's phenomenal! Very neat decor, vibe and an overall great experience! We started off with the Brussels sprouts, then the short rib tacos and also the pumpkin pizza. All dishes were so amazing and full of flavor! We can't wait to come back to try the mushroom pizza with truffle oil, the turkey sloppy joe sliders the burger and so much more! We had very good service and there is also a neat lounge area in the back of restaurant. Highly recommend trying out this this new restaurant ASAP.

Had lunch on a Friday afternoon at pedalers fork and walked right over to The Six. I did not try the food but it looked really good!. HH is really good, tried the Bloody mary & Moscow mule both cocktails were delicious. They have a good small beer selection The decor was cute rustic, with fresh veggies growing out in the front porch. Will come back to try the Brunch Menu.

So the service here was pretty horrid. When we arrived it almost seemed like no one was working. Once we were finally seated it took 20 min to simply get our drinks. We ordered the short rib tacos for an appetizer and we couldn't eat them when they arrived due to the fact that we received no place setting what so ever. The rest of the visit was spent impatiently waiting on the waitress. Refills took forever and she often didn't make it back to the table after dropping of our dishes until we were done with them. Aside from the shittastic service we received, the food was delicious and seriously if you only make it out for the free banana cream pie, the trip was well worth it.

This is my first Yelp review...so here I go. Pros: -outside seating, fresh air -brussel sprout appetizer was fun to eat, crispy, flavorful -food is like fancy bar food and is worth trying Cons: -overall, service was horrible -wait time was "15 minutes" but in actuality we waited 60 minutes (but they were not busy at all) -appetizers came out at the same time as our main meal, not cool -they seemed to be understaffed but also taking their sweet time and were not servicing us with drinks or offering additional check ins (like asking if we need refills, etc) Basically, if you have lots of time to kill and are in no rush, try some of their interesting appetizers. If you go hungry, you will probably be pissed off the whole time waiting around for your drinks and food.

I dine here all the time. The combination of healthy food, amazing produce and flavor combinations, together with an enticing menu and amazing specials makes this restaurant a true diamond in the rough! I would recommend The Six to anybody - especially "foodies" !! The Six is a real eye pleaser with extremely unique atmoshpere and design which always makes dining here a real treat - not to be missed!

I had lunch here with a Party of 5 (yep, had to do it). The service is pretty relaxed. The food is wonderful. The hit of the table was the short-rib grilled cheese. My salmon salad was perfect, a nicely prepared filet with a lovely mix of crunchy goodness. I was satisfied the whole day. Just a great salad! The salad nicoise looked delish - they put an egg on it! :) Lovely place for a thoughtful meal. Nice to go with a group and experiment with different items and share!

If you are looking for a great and classy bar/pub, I highly recommend the Six! We were pleasantly surprised at some of the unique options on the menu and loved every bite! We had Brunch: Santa Fe Skillet (flavoricious!), Banana's Fosters Waffles (whoa, wow, this is a definite must try!), BBT pizza (great crust and amazing flavor... perfect pizza to go with a beer), Burgers (huge and oh so yum -- perfectly paired with some yummy pub fries) and the Thai Cobb salad (good but in comparison to everything else, this one just was a bit too sub par). They have a separate room in the back that was holding a party and has a classy full bar -- I could just picture a great start to a Bachelor party. All of the seating is cozy and homey along with the lighting and decor. We just loved it all around!

This place is very cool -- I felt so hip sitting in my booth with my friends. Service is good and the appetizer and drinks are the shiznic (that means great) To be honest, we ordered so many appetizer that we never got to a main course This is a very cool place to grab a drink with your friends and talk. I was actually very surprised more people weren't there -- this place should be packed -- people!!! Get a Mule Cocktail - Short Rib Tacos, Turkey Sliders, their Brussels routs, tuna tartar - another mule - truffle fries- a pizza (any) and a Calabasas Heat Cocktail... then you can order your main course... because you will be there forever. This is a great place to host a Yelp Elite Event!!!! So good!!!!

Worst and slowest service on earth! It wasn't even busy! Good was cold and watery. Wake up management, your waitress Laura (I think) is something else. I went with my entire family for my moms birthday and it was awful!! It took us about an hour and half just to order and another hour and half for food to come!! My family was grumpy and hungry (which is never good). SO once we finally got our food half of everyones orders were wrong and we had to wait some more! It was just a bad experience and then the waitress said okay well dessert is on us so we ordered all these desserts and they ended up putting them on the bill it was crazy! so overall the service was bad and the food was just decent. I wouldn't recommend it. -Ashley

I usually like to sit/stand at the bar at most places I go to. Came in to the SIX at Six O'clock :) with a friend, for small bites. Valet parking available for $3.50 to the left of the building. The first impression when you walk in through the door is the Hostess greeting you with a smile , there is a small bar area with maybe 10 seats total, TV and yes ladies they do have hooks under the bar, for your purses :) . Hostess desk to the left (seems like Open Table reservations from what I observed) and the kitchen is immediately to your right behind the bar. Dining sections are divided and I didn't really walk through but seemed to be 2 dining areas-one immediately to the left, behind the Hostess desk and another larger Lounge/Dining with a Bar towards the back and a Small outdoor patio overlooking Calabasas Rd. The menu is interestingly enough on par with other local pub/tavern restaurants but a tad cheaper/budget friendly plus they have a Happy Hour seven days a week (3-6 I believe). Food: Most items were served on cutting boards... -Ahi Tuna tartar, was excellent with a hint of spicy and then finishes sweet as there is diced apple mixed in. -Mussels, I've had better Mussels to be honest-they were medium in size and not enough meat on them, had a few fights with the sand specs between my teeth but nothing too offensive-its normal, the broth was very good with cherry tomatoes and spinach,a hint of curry and toasted bread atop. -Chicken Meatballs, comes in a mini iron skillet with marinara and toasted bread-very tasty. -Turkey Sloppy Joe Sliders, on a mini brioche bun , I would skip them and get the Chicken Meatballs instead. -Banana Creme pie, also served on a cutting board with a line of raspberry coulis-nice presentation and not too rich, so do order one or two :). All in all the service is very friendly and courteous, full bar , most patrons seem to arrive after 7pm so do make reservations as they can get packed, although in winter months this may and will change so earlier is better :) . I plan to visit again very, very soon to try some of the main dishes-Menu seems to have Braised Short ribs, Steak, Chicken, Sea bass (Not Chilean) :) , Salmon, Flat Breads, Sandwiches, Salads etc. I highly reccomend THE SIX just so you can try and experience your food in a different way ( less plates and more cutting boards approach) shareable and very tasty. Their concept of only offering SIX items per group means that you will always get fresh product, less time spent looking at the menu which speeds up the ordering and most important-more time with your guests-BRILLIANT. Most places in Calabasas tend to be overpriced Fine Dining restaurants, but not THE SIX-cudos and thank you. P.S.-To all that have complained here on YELP but not directly I can only say STOP living in a different world and START living in the Present. It's like when your car breaks down and you want your mechanic to fix it over the phone-it just doesn't work like that.

Got the opportunity to dine with my wife and another couple recently, and we toured the menu. The buffalo cauliflower and muscles appetizers were inventive and delicious, and I have to say the Roasted Mary's Chicken entree in the mushroom jus was literally one of the better things I've ever been lucky enough to taste. Ambiance was really lovely both inside and out. Right in the heart of historic Calabasas. If you're in the neighborhood, 100% check it out. And for what it's worth, only took us a shade over 30 mins to get there from nearly downtown LA, leaving around 7:15.

The Six was an anxiously anticipated and most welcome addition to the old town area of Calabasas. This charming restaurant has done many things right; the decor is appropriate to the region; it's comforting and interesting as well. There is a small bar when first you enter, but a much larger back room bar behind the dining room beckons with comfy sofas & chairs, and good ambiance and energy radiates from the entire place. The burger should not be underestimated... steaks and salmon are excellent and there is a lovely and hilariously named wine that I recommend: If You See Kay. Say it fast and you will get it. Seating is comfortable and service has been consistently excellent. Mgmt makes it a point to make the rounds and inquire as to your meal and experience; they clearly care. The only bad thing we have ever had there was the Thai Cobb salad, which was tasteless and disappointing. I have now been to the Six three times. There have been some changes in both chef and menu since first we went and truthfully, the food was best the very first time we went in. The fries were far superior previously. I note this because I don't typically like fries and the first ones we had there were PHENOMENAL. The menu has changed somewhat but that is fine if the changes are seasonally keeping with what is best at that time of year. I look forward to going back many times and hope that they don't keep changing preparations of dishes that were stellar to begin with. Valet parking is available and the cocktails are well done. Reservations are accepted as well...something I find very important when dining out, especially with a group. We have also had good luck just showing up on a whim, and enjoying appetizers and drinks in the back bar area.

The service at this location was great! Most of the food was amazing, except id say the mac and cheese fried appetizer was just so-so. There's a strange taste to them that I don't care for, but they were still good. You've got to order the brussels sprouts, omg they are to die for!!!!! Overall it's a pretty good spot to grab a drink and a bite to eat, I'll definitely be back again.

To start off the hostess was great smiley and welcoming which is an awesome first impression but after that it went far south. The service was horrible between the server not knowing what she was doing ever, kept making excuses why the drinks haven't been delivered which took 15-20 min to get to us. Half our food hit and then waited another 15 for the rest of it and then when that happened the server the entire time gave over 4 times within 2 hours of us being there for a birthday. We kept looking around to find our server at times and she was never to be found. When our food hit she handed us the dessert menu without asking as if she is trying to rush us out. Let alone this was not a busy night at all. I've been a server for over 5 years and I've have never been more disgusted with the service me and my party had. I was in shock. Never going back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

I am pretty conflicted about this place. I came here for Father's Day brunch and 1st let me say that I really enjoyed the restaurant/ambiance and the food. The manager was super friendly and welcoming as well. However, our waitress was HORRIBLE. She was inattentive and showed absolutely NO interest in serving our table. First, we called a few days back when we made the reservation to see if we could order from the main lunch menu as well as the special Father's Day menu and the person on the phone told us we could. Then when we asked our waitress she went to check and came back and said that we couldn't. However, about 20 minutes later the table next to us ordered items from their main menu. Next, we saw that a table next to us got bread and asked our waitress for some as well. She said they don't serve bread but would go ask anyways and never came back to let us know either way. Then, we had some people order the bottomless mimosas and it took multiple requests to get refills each time. The busboys were MUCH more helpful than her during the meal and finally we just started asking them for things because they responded. The restaurant wasn't busy at all and its just upsetting to have a waitress that genuinely does not care about helping a table throughout the entire meal. Each time she came back to the table it was like she had forgotten what we asked for the previous time and was just confused why we were getting annoyed. Hopefully the restaurant can get their service up to par because we all really enjoyed the food!

Such a disappointment! I love THE SIX in Studio City, where I frequently order a perfect salad of curly purple kale with a creamy ceasar dressing, topped with succulent, moist, freshly cooked breaded chicken tenders. Best ever! I was out in Calabasas today and ordered the same. Not purple, not ceasar, not fresh in the least. The breaded, fried chicken was already sliced, revealing cold, tough, dried out chicken (yesterday's??) For $15 no less. I complained to the (nice-enough) waitperson, but there was no offer to improve things in any way. My husband ordered a pizza with "mushroom tapenade." An adequate number of skitake(!!) slices arrived on a white pizza, but clearly no one in the place cares about truth in advertising. How can two branches of the same joint differ so drastically? Bummer.

I didn't love The Six but I didn't hate it either. I wanted to love it. I really did. First, I'll say the ambience is great. The restaurant has a nice vibe. It's the kind of place I like to go to just kick it with my husband or with friends. Cool design and lighting. But as we all know, ambience isn't enough. The food HAS to be great. IMO, the food was just okay. It wasn't terrible. We had two appetizers - the short rib tacos and the mac n cheese fritters. The appetizers were tasty. Probably the better part of our meal. For the entree, my husband had the chicken pot pie. He said it was just okay. I wanted something light so I opted for the mesclun greens salad. It just didn't have much flavor. It just felt dead. The only thing I really liked about it is that the chicken I added was warmed. The service was good. Our server was very nice and attentive. The price...well, I feel like it was a touch pricier than maybe it needed to be simply because the food wasn't great. But of course, it's a trendy restaurant in Calabasas so I'm not surprised. I think this is one of those spots where you just have to go see for yourself. I wouldn't tell you not to go but I'm not going to shout from the rooftops about the place either. However, I know I won't go back for dinner. Maybe apps and drinks at the bar. Maybe.

I have eaten dinner here a few times and lunch many times as my go to place in Calabasas. As the ground zero Celiac/GF diner (it's been so long it feels that way), most restaurants in the past two years have finally offered GF alternatives that are far beyond the cardboard and Parakeet food served up in the past. With that said, other than salads and veggies for lunch, options can still be somewhat limited for us GF (non Fad) diners. At the Six, there are excellent salads, like the grilled Salmon salad, but also the 3 tacos with braised short ribs and their delectable flatbreads and pizzas that can be made with a very tasty GF crust. Throw on some of their creative toppings, like their pancetta, Bosc pear and burrata Royale pizza (isn't burrata the best newish menu item, certainly better than the now ubiquitous kale), and you have a great meal.

Food was mostly good, except for the ramen noodles. That was nasty. The noodles were mealy and the broth had a mild curry flavor. The deep-fried macaroni appetizer and tacos were good. Good eye-candy here. Finally, a place with well-dressed, good-looking people. The parking situation is something else. There's a shady-looking guy in the adjacent parking lot collecting $3.50 if you park there. The Six staff tell me they get charged, too, so it's not their fault. Luckily I found a spot on the street the first time. But the second time, this guy was belligerent about collecting the $3.50, so we left and didn't come back to the restaurant.

I ate at The Six twice before writing this review. I needed to make sure I wasn't rushing to judgment on this fairly new Calabasas eatery. Both times, I ate dinner, and both times I left loving certain dishes, and wondering how others made the menu. We had reservations both times, and were seated semi-promptly. If you need to wait, no worries, there are 2 bar areas to choose from. The restaurant is basically set up as bar, dining room, and bar/lounge/event room in the back. The space is casual, and comfortable, but the cheesy, lit-up sunset photos around the main dining room are a bit lame. I really like their menu because it allows parties to try different dishes. I've tried the mac n' cheese fritters (very yummy and great), tuna tartar (meh), chicken meatballs (delicious, and wish they were bigger), roasted cauliflower (awesome), crispy brussels sprouts (hit and miss, sometimes over-crisped), burger (beautiful and tasty), ny steak (bland), rib eye (tasty and big), hand cut fries (above average), and made to order donuts (very good). The servers at the Calabasas location are terrific and caring. I really felt like they wanted their diners to have a good experience. The restaurant does get loud when it is full, so don't expect to have a hushed-tone conversation with the person sitting across the table from you. Overall, I would come back, and I hear the brunch could be good. I'm glad The Six is helping Calabasas slowly crawl out of the late nineties when it comes to dining choices.

The Six is really awesome. Not only is the food delicious but there are so many interesting choices on the menu. This is a restaurant that I frequently visit. The restaurant also has a room in the back which is a lounge with bar and comfy couches. They also often have live music. The service is very attentive as well. Check this place out!

Where are ALL the ladies at? Here, they are probably here. The Six in Calabasas (in contrast to West LA) is patronized by a disproportionate number of females. The first time it happened, I thought I must have just visited on a particularly estrogen-y night, but then it kept happening. This is not to say The Six in Calabasas is not frequented by men - there are an abundance of boyfriends and husbands. The food ranges from ok to fine. I found my pizza to be too greasy and the desserts to be too small. The cocktails are adequate but less than impressive. The prices are also a bit high. I asked myself, as a non-male, what attracts me to the place. The only answer I can come up with is mimosas and couches. For that reason, The Six is fun for brunch and groups. The patio is very nice and the service is above average so it is worthwhile for other meals too.

Husband and I are relatively new to the area so looking for somewhere new to try for our wedding anniversary. We weren't looking for anything too fancy, and the menu seemed good, so figured we'd give it a shot. When we arrived, we were seated promptly but then it all went a little wrong as far as service is concerned. I went to the bathroom, came back, and we still sat there for another 10 minutes on top of that before we finally flagged down a bus boy and asked him to send over a server. A guy, who appeared to be the manager, came by and took our drink order. Our actual server still didn't come by for another little while, even though she'd stopped by at the table right next to us several times. During the course of the meal, she filled up our water glasses but never asked either of us if we'd like refills on our other drinks. The food is what's getting this place some stars - the mac n cheese balls were excellent, the salmon and short rib entrees were both delicious. The service was bad enough that I'm doubting we'll be back, especially having now read various other reviews on here that seem to have had similar issues. It's shame. What kind of makes me laugh is that there's an article posted by the bathroom which lists 6 things one of the co-owners doesn't like. One of the things he mentions is laziness from employees. Perhaps he should take a look at some of them at this location.

A cute spot with a great outdoor dining space. I was underwhelmed by the drink menu -- nothing that stood out, but nothing drastically disappointing. The highlight of the meal was buffalo cauliflower (so delicious it put everything else to shame). If I were passing through I might stop in, but it wasn't a place I'd take a drive for.

I came here with my best friend for a casual bottomless champagne Sunday-what a perfect choice! Although it was crazy busy and was understaffed, Brittani the amazing rockstar/manager/bartender (and her staff) went above and beyond to ensure the packed house was taken care of. I highly recommend visiting The 6 and make sure to ask for Brittani, Malibu burrito & The Big Italy! The $20 bottomless mimosas, food and Brittani are the reasons why I will keep coming back!! And for all the rude people who treat wait staff like they are beneath you, good luck with Karma points up above (or down below)!

First time at this venue, but I will be coming back regularly... It started off shaky when I had some harassment from the valet attendant who had a bad attitude, but the Marcus was very helpful in settling the problem. We were looking for a local spot for tapas and I think I found it here at "The Six". The short rib tacos and "The Six" Mac & Cheese are nice. Love the cosy ambience. Our server Jay was very friendly and made sure we had what we needed.

Great food. Ambience. Cool staff. I'll definitely be coming back when I'm in town. You gotta try the short rib tacos and chicken & waffles. Terrific karoke mix and dj. Mix of old and new school. Cool mix of people and great energy.

My mom and I came to The Six for happy hour this Sunday. The food came out quickly and hot. I had the braised short rib tacos and truffle fries, while my mother opted for the salmon salad. Both meals were absolutely delicious, it was such a treat to conclude our meal with a complimentary banana cream pie. Jay provided excellent service. Thank you! We will be back soon to indulge once again! ;)

We stopped in for lunch and we're immediately seated. There were four of us, and we chose to sit outside. We each ordered beers, the deep fried Mac & Cheese bites, and main courses. The Mac and cheese bites were good. They were crisp on the outside, and cheesy on the inside. They came with ranch and a spicy buffalo BBQ sauce. My main course was the six burger (I think it was called) and I upgraded my fries to truffle Parmesan fries. The burger came medium, but was closer to medium rare, which I loved. It was a very good burger - not too greasy, a delicious brioche bun, and delightful blue cheese and thousand island dressing. I will for sure be back to this place. The service was good, and the menu had a lot of things I'd like to try. Recommended for a casual meal.

So went back a second time knowing how to order there... They redeemed themselves. They did make the mistake of having out a bar menu that they were no longer serving from though.

Great food, service, drinks, and atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The Mac & cheese fritters and short rib tacos are a must and the banana cream pie is unreal. Everything was great & I will definitely be back here a lot more often.

Super cute gastropub in a quaint area. I haven't spent any time in Calabasas, so I don't know if this area is typical of the city, but it had an old western theme going on. We stopped here for a lunch break on route from San Diego to San Luis Obispo. They had a patio that they were happy to seat us in with our dog. There was a good beer selection, and the food was pretty good. We had the short rib tacos and the Italian pizza.

I had ordered from here with some gal friends for a friend's birthday. And we loved it! We ordered the appetizers and they were amazing. Beyond delicious! We ordered the brussel sprouts which is now my favorite dish ever. I don't even like brussel sprouts. I do now! We also ordered the chorizo stuffed dates which were really good and the roasted cauliflower, which I enjoyed but not even as much as the other stuff we ordered. We also had the chipotle short rib tacos which were delish! So on a date night I decided to have my husband and I go here and we loved it just as much. We split the gluten-free white pizza and were really happy with that. My husband isn't gluten-free and is Italian, so if he can love a pizza, you know it's good. We also split the meslun green salad but no nuts. I always enjoy salads but my husband isn't as huge a health freak as me and he wolfed it up so much I had to ask him to save some for me! LOL But the atmospher was cool. Love the dark vibe. There seems to be a back room that I'm guessing they have for bands, which I saw on their website they have. So I'm definitely going to need to do another girls' night here! I really enjoy their food and would definitely go back! Oh and I had read previous yelp reviews before we came here and some people thought the staff wasn't friendly or helpful. But I think they changed that. Because we got waited on instantly and our hostess was probably the friendliest host I've ever had! LOL So obviously they want to make a great impression.

We tried for the first time on a Saturday night. The restaurant is busy so a reservation is recommended. We sat in a booth in the back area. It gets very loud. If the noise level was less my rating would be 5 star. We could barely hear each other. I would go earlier or a less busy evening if you want to talk to those in your party. The food was excellent! The Brussel sprout appetizer is really good. If you are a fan of this veggie, you must try. We had the butternut squash pizza on a gluten free crust. The crust was thin, crunchy and really good (not easy to accomplish with GF.). The thinly sliced squash was perfect on top along with sage butter. We also had the salmon salad. A really good combo of texture and flavors. It included cashews, edamame, salmon that was perfectly cooked and fresh greens. I would order this again. We didn't have a dessert, but the ones we saw looked fantastic. The service was also very good. For as busy as they were, they are well staffed. We will be back!

Party of seven on a Wednesday night to celebrate a birthday. It was crowded for a weekday, with a typical Calabasas crowd. Three of us showed up before the others, and we ordered drinks while we waited. By the time our entire party was seated, 15 minutes had gone by and still no drinks. They were finally served just as we were going to cancel the order (we also ordered a bottle of wine after, which showed up first). The rest of the party had the same problem when it came to getting their drinks. We ordered several appetizers, and I got a bite of each (except the sweet corn, which I was told was very good), Enjoyed the crispy brussel sprouts and buffalo cauliflower, thought the mac n cheese fritters were OK. For an entree I had the Six Burger. It was cooked medium-rare as ordered, the maytag blue cheese was tasty, and the fries were crisp and tender. However, it was lukewarm at best. Though both the food and service was uneven, we enjoyed the ambiance and the evening. I'd give The Six another try.

Only took off a star since booths were tight. and the whole place can use some lightening up. Kind of pricy. It was hopping busy and service was slow to start but was very attentive. Young woman with british accent. Very friendly. Excellent food especially the flatbreads. Really nothing to complain about as far as the food and service were concerned.

This is a cozy, casual little spot on the main drag of Calabasas. Across from the Cantina, it is in what used to be "gaetano's." It's easy to get to. The food is well thought out. Best PIZZA I've had in a very long time! The BBT is amazing - Bacon, Basil and Tomato. My husband and I just went back a week after our first visit for that alone. We also had the simple garden salad, which was a perfect combination of ingredients which all blended together like a salad should be. Not simple at all. Great lettuce blend, goat cheese, the right amount of veggies. The bar? That's a REAL bar. Some serious bartenders. Great specialty drinks, too. I had a mule - served perfectly chilled in a copper cup. I notice the wine goblets have a subtle indentation where your hand fits - that's detail. A good mix of young and old, it's a relaxing spot with good offerings, normal prices, competent staff. The only drawback I can see is that it's noisy. So come early!

It was our anniversary the cute blonde hostess was incredibly hospitable and sweet however the server kind of lacked. She was bartending and serving our little booth so I understand the multitasking aspect but still it was a little disappointing being as it was a special day. The food was amazing though.

My husband and I went there tonight for something different. The food was good and Scott the bartender was great. The kitchen however had a serious problem! we ordered our dinner and mine came out very quickly my husband's was no where in site! Scott went to check on it and the kitchen was giving him crap...he spoke to the "manager" who could have cared less! I was completely done with my dinner by the time he got his....the food was good but not great...I would not make the trip again BTW the happy hour appetizers are not half off as they tell you! A regular order of the short rib tacos is three tacos in the happy order portion you get two for half the price ! Not such a great deal!!!!! Same with the Sliders ! Manger/owner has an attitude....instead of trotting around like he is important he should take better care of his customers! An apology would have been nice!

I was looking forward to trying this place. Always see it's packed and people waiting outside, so I went ahead an called in a reservation for 7:15pm on a Friday night. When I arrived they were super busy, very hard to get to the front to the hostess and when I tried checking in with the hostess she kept telling me to wait a second and walking away. I finally got to check in for my reservation for a table for 3 girls. She told me to wait a few minutes the table was not ready yet. Stepped aside and was waiting for 10 minutes, the hostess was no where to be found, there were plenty of others walking in and getting seated ahead of us. I walked up to ask how much longer for my reservation under "sarah l", the waiter couldn't find my name and asked if I had checked in! Turns out they had given my table to another group of 3 girls that walked in after me without a reservation! We had to wait another 15 minutes probably waited a total of 30 minutes to get a table that I reserved ahead of time. Finally sat down and was hoping for a better experience. The waitress took forever. Our drinks took forever. Ordering our food took forever. Getting our food took the longest and everyone got their goods at different times and all of it was cold or room temperature at most. Nothing came out served hot. Otherwise the taste of the food was good. Even though the food was good tasting the service was through the roof TERRIBLE! starting from the check in to the check out. Absolutely terrible experience which I tell everyone about and advise not to go.

I like this place. Now let me preface by saying I'm a Calabasas local and there are too few places to choose from around here. I've been here several times and have found the drinks and the service to be solid (love the Moscow Mule and the Berry Mojito), but the food is very inconsistent. I've never had anything be all out "bad," but I've had great Brussels sprouts on one visit and I've had dry, under seasoned, "okay" Brussels sprouts the next. The (boneless) chicken and waffles are tasty, but you may get a soggy waffle. Those are just brief examples, it happens all the time. I wish they'd work that out, because when it's good, it's really good! Love the crispy Brussels sprouts, spicy buffalo cauliflower, beet and burrata salad with hazelnuts, short rib, chicken and waffles, all top notch. The banana cream pie also a must (and free with yelp check-in!)!

Went here for Mother's Day brunch. Food was great but service was horrible! The restaurant was only 1/2 full so there was no reason why service should have been so slow. We got a drink at the beginning of our meal and it took 45 minutes to get another one. Only giving 3 stars because of the service but other than that the food deserves a 5 star.

My husband and I are relatively new to the West Hills/Calabasas area, and so we were delighted to find out about The Six restaurant which had just opened. We checked out the menu online, and it looked interesting and delicious, so we booked a table on Saturday, February 15 to celebrate a romantic Valentine's Day weekend. What a terrible disappointment from start to finish! We showed up on time for our 7:15 pm reservation, and we were led to a small table directly across from a swinging door leading to where they dump the dishes. We told the hostess that we didn't want to sit at what was clearly the "dog table" and asked if she could reseat us somewhere else. There was a table available which had two people just checking out, but she informed us that it was a table for three, so we couldn't have it. So, we were sent to the back bar area, where we waited for over an hour in an avalanche of noise for another table--and we didn't even get asked if we wanted to place a drink order. Finally we were seated, and ordered roasted brussels sprouts and cauliflower as appetizers and salmon as the main course. In looking at the menu, we realized that many of the intriguing items we had seen online were from the menu of their Westside location, and weren't available in Calabasas. The brussels sprouts came with what were described as "prawn chips"--which turned out to be large, stale, hard, cold, tasteless white puffy things that even a 7/11 wouldn't sell. The roasted cauliflower was described as having an Italian salsa and parmesan cheese, but came with neither. The salmon was just average, and took another 45 minutes to reach our table. We couldn't have a decent conversation because the noise level sounded like we were on a runway at LAX. The service was less than average, and our bill came to over $80. with no drinks. Our conclusion: If you are looking for a great dinner in a charming environment, forget about The Six in Calabasas! In an interesting postscript: my husband and I ran into a friend and former client of mine whom we haven't seen in years. He and his wife and another couple were also having dinner at The Six for the first time. When I asked him later about their experience, he told me the following story: They showed up for their 7:30 pm reservation on time, but were sent to the bar, as we had been. After almost an hour wait, while they were watching other parties be seated ahead of them, one of the couple's wives asked for the manager and told him their situation. As fate would have it, her husband had gone outside to smoke, and when he was coming back in, by sheer coincidence, he overheard the manager say to the hostesses "Find a table so that 'bitch' will get off my back." He taped the manager's shoulder and said "one of those bitches is my wife..." The embarrassed manager finally found them a table, and comped them drinks. Then their salmon arrived completely raw, and when they complained, instead of fixing the problem, the restaurant sent over a bottle of wine which was too late to drink. My friend told me that they will NEVER again go to this restaurant, and I completely agreed.

I was a bit worried by the high or average Yelp reviews, but my wife, daughter and I had a great experience Friday night. In fact, it was one of the best meals I've ever had. The buffalo cauliflower was amazing. I wish more places served this. What a surprise. Both my wife and I were impressed with it. I've never had PHO before so I can't judge it against anything, but it tasted great. And the raw tuna appetizer was a nice mix of flavors and even impressed my 12-year-old daughter who wouldn't usually eat something like that. Mussels were just okay and a bit small. I'd skip them next time. The best part: the butternut squash pizza with gluten-free crust. I always feel I'm giving up something when I order pizza with GF crust. Not this time. In fact, I had to ask the server if it was really the GF crust and they hadn't made a mistake. It was by far the best, crispiest GF pizza crust I've ever had in my life. Wow. And the taste of the squash and cheese worked really well. My daughter ordered the hanger steak and enjoyed it, but how many fries can you put on one plate? Fries were delicious, but I think I had a dream of being buried in french fries last night. If you love french fries and steak, this is the dish for you. Wife enjoyed the flat bread but made a mistake and ordered it without the garlic tapenade or something and it turned the dish a bit bland. Not the restaurant's fault. I finished with the banana cream pie for dessert, which was outstanding and will make it impossible for me to ever order conventional banana cream pie again. This version has Oreo crust and the bananas and cream were all mixed together. Wow again. Service was excellent and friendly and the manager checked in with us. All in all, though I ate too much, it was great holiday meal.

We went there for a birthday/ girls night out. It was the first time for all 7 of us! We were fortunate enough to have an adorable waitress Kristina from England ! Kristina made a delightful evening of palate tantalizing experiences just that much richer!!! Kristina is a model customer service person and I wish there were more waitresses like her! The Six was truly a wonderful experience that we will indulge in more often! The food choices were absolutely wonderful. I particularly recommend tasting the Cauliflower in buffalo wing sauce, Brussels sprouts and the Vanilla Beet salad among the pizza and flatbreads! Thank you for an all round great night!

Excellent food! Service from Misty was great too. She's very engaging and made the experience much more personable than most. Try items from as many sections on the menu as you can, you'll get to taste awesome different flavors. We love this place - Great vibe, good for any occasion.

Wow what a treat. Wife and I came from Santa Monica to meet friends here tonight and I wanted to write this while still reliving the flavors and tastes. I couldn't recommend "The Six" any higher! We had a number of items on the menu: Short Rib Tacos, Brussels Sprouts, Potato Crusted Salmon, Roasted Mary's Chicken, and a Pizza that was actually one of the best I have ever tasted.. Had sweet potato on it! There were so many other items that we wanted to sample but will try them next time, and then the next. The ambiance was absolutely fantastic and quite Rustic which I really enjoy in a restaurant. Service was excellent. Oh, and good desserts too. So all in all a really great dining experience. We will make the drive again and again to eat here. Those who live close to "The Six" in Calabasas.. you have a gem here and are lucky!
