A typical Korean fast food in Downtown Burbank that serves pretty cheap/affordable food but good quality of meats. The last time I went here was last year. FOOD: 5 Stars = i love their bulgogi it's so tender and tasty it means that they serve fresh meats. I can compare their meat to the expensive korean bbq restaurant in LA. The only difference is the price. They also serve side dishes (banchan) with your main dish. I remembered the lady refilled my kimchi and the other side dishes, therefore it is unlimited banchan! PLACE: 4.5 Stars = It's kinda small outside but when you enter this place, you'll see a lot of tables which can accommodate a lot of people. Tables and chairs are just ordinary, nothing special. The design of the restaurant is so simple. It would be better if they put some design that can blend with their type of food that they're serving. They should put more ventilation on this place. Why? because after you eat here, you'll smell like bbq, garlic, etc. but that's not a big deal. Just to inform you guys that They're closed on Sundays. SERVICE: 5 Stars = Fast even you come here in busy hour, the server can attend to you right away. because of this I give them 2 thumbs up! PRICE: 5 Stars = Korean BBQ Restaurant in Downtown with very affordable price?!! :O The price of their food is very cheap compare with the other korean bbq fast food/restaurant. + UNLIMITED banchan!!! PARKING: FREE = just across the street. it's a parking structure or you can park at the Mall parking structure. They have side street parking in downtown so don't worry about looking for a space, there's a lot of it there. OVER ALL: 4.5 STARS I will visit this place again!

Simply one of the best Korean BBQ around! Their short rib is spectacular.

In a nutshell: Decent but I wasn't blown away. The food is good and reasonably priced. The whole review: Don't be scared off if all the tables are full. It looks like a tiny restaurant but they have another big seating area in the back. I got the bibimbop. Nice presentation. The egg was still very liquid on top, even some of the white. A lot of people like it like that, so if you're one, then you'll be happy. I'm fine either way. The "side items" were very tasty and they had a nice selection, including some cucumber items and some mushroom items. It also came with a side of Kim chee and a small miso soup. Was it tasty? Sure. Was it a taste sensation? Probably not. My friend had the SKB special with kulgogi, ribs (I think) and chicken. I tasted some. It was good. Overall, their food is on the salty side and also pretty heavy, HOWEVER, that pretty much describes Korean BBQ (and no, I'm not knocking Korean BBQ). So I'm not going to downrate a restaurant just because they're properly preparing dishes that have the effect, when properly prepared, of sitting in your stomach like a lump. Overall, I liked it and would go again. But I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Meaning...I wouldn't go more than a block out of my way. Because at that point, I'd be closer to other restaurants in the area that I like better. Final note: they brought us sticks of Wrigley spearmint gum with the check. Sure, it was a small gesture, but I really liked it. Small stuff like that makes all the difference to me. After all, you really don't want BBQ spicy pork breath. PS There is a very good boba tea place just a few doors down. I highly recommend it for a post-meal sugar fix.

This place is so good, I final had to join the yelp community! Is it a 5 star restaurant, No! Is it 5 Star food at a great price, Yes! Yes! Yes! It's a basic place which feels more like a work canteen than a restaurant but it's always clean and the bathroom is very clean and tidy. It may be basic but they always try hard to keep you happy and they serve excellent food at a really good price. One of the waitresses is excellent, the other couple that that have served us have been good but not quite as efficient. We have eaten there many times over the last year or so and it has never disappointed! I nearly always go for the chicken and my wife goes for the thinly sliced beef but if you're not sure the mixed plate (SKB Special) is a really good option and comes with a lot of meat! All of the main dishes come with a split plate that includes rice, Kimchi (spicy fermented vegetables) and a sort of pickled bean sprouts (not 100% sure how to describe it but it's good and my wife loves it!). They have good starters but we usually skip them as the mains are very filling. I do often add a Miso soup as it's good and nice and light. They normally have soya sauce and hot sauce to compliment it if needed. The ice tea and hot tea's are good. In Summary: Food Quality: Excellent Value for Money: Excellent Cleanliness: Good to Excellent Atmosphere: Simple, good for lunch or quick evening meal, a good alternative to fast food, although this is normally pretty fast! Decor: OK, this is really basic but it doesn't detract from the great food and value, so they are still 5 stars in my book!

Good food, decent "Korean Waitress" service. Good Korean BBQ, but a little pricey, as expected. You have to make sure you catch the lunch hour to get the deals, otherwise you can't talk your way into getting the lunch prices. They serve very large portions, which is awesome. Overall, for the right price you get some decent BBQ.

*** AMAZING KALBI RIBS & VERY FRIENDLY SERVICE *** No to mention very budget-friendly. It's a very casual restaurant -- no fabulous décor, food served on (hard & resistant) plastic plates, menu on the walls behind the counter. But the food and value are great! My bf ordered the Bulgogi beef and I had the Kalbi ribs. Both entrées were delicious and came with steamed white rice, cooked spinach, bean sprouts and kimchi. The spinach, although cooked, was cold, which I'm not a fan of. Not a fan of bean sprouts either. But the kimchi and rice were good. Really, it's ENTIRELY about the meat, which was very well marinated and came on a bed of DELICIOUS stir-fried white onions! The bill: 1 Kalbi ribs entrée 1 Bulgogi beef entrée 2 Diet Cokes + Tax ________________________________ = $24.58 (adding tip it's *still* under $30!) The restaurant is located in a very well attended area, close to many other restaurants, and specially during weekends, it can get very crowded, therefore making it a little hard to find parking on the street. This place doesn't have its own parking lot. Loved the staff: Our waitress was taking care of about 8 tables, and girl was on her feet and quick! I also loved the fact everyone said "Thank you for coming! Have a great night!" when we left -- wait staff, counter attendants, cooks, everyone. :-) Me like-y friendly.

Amazing! For 8 dollars I got a lot of food. And it was good. Quality AND Quantity! Now I have 3 places to turn to when the local eateries look a bit too full. I had the rice dish with the 10 different items, I cannot recall the name at the moment but the bulgogi it came with was great! I just had to try the chicken, so I ordered a side. That was great as well, and at 2 bucks for a huge slice of chicken I couldnt have been more happier. I wil definitely be coming back very very soon!

Spicy Pork is excellent. I have been coming here for years and I absolutely enjoy it. It's fresh family owned and the reason you wait 15-20mins to get your food is because it's cooked to perfection. I love that it's the owners cooking the food, which makes it taste like a home cooked meal. This place is definitely recommend if you like great tasting Korean BBQ.

I absolutely love the food here. I don't care what other reviewers have to say about this place, but the food here always leaves me happy and full. The menu is pretty simple which is great considering how picky I can get. There's not much emphasis on the interior decor but what does that matter when the food you sell is bomb. Granted, I always order the Bulgogi combo or the Kalbi Beef combo. The other dishes, I hear, are just as tasty and delicious. Each comes with white rice, a side of stir fried sesame/garlic spinach, and a side of bean sprouts. *drools* the utter thought of it makes my mouth salivate. Urgh! SO GOOD!! The combos usually run at around $9 which is fantastic considering the generous portions they give. They do have order/pickup but I always try to make it a point to eat there because they accompany the meals with grilled onions(I'm talking about the Kalbi and Bulgogi here) on sizzling plates. Oh dang *wipes drool* I'll be back in a bit. I'm gonna pick myself up some food.

At long last!!! We finally found a place in Southern California that serves Meat Jun, and not just any Meat Jun, but good Meat Jun! I'm just sad that I have to go all the way to Burbank to get it...

  • Chris V.

Pretty good Korean food and decent prices. I ordered the snk. which comes with chicken, kalbi, and bulgogi. The bulgogi was the best meat out of them. Kalbi are short ribs, but they didn't really have any flavor. Chicken is just chicken. I loved that they have a generous amount of onions. The people working here are extremely nice, but slow service.

After contemplating mightily for days about this, I finally concluded that "Nom nom nom" in Korean is probably the same as in English. Downtown Burbank ranks up there as one of the better downtowns in So Cal; the sheer amount of pedestrian activity makes Downtown LA, well, look like Downtown LA. Seoul Korean BBQ is also one of its better hole-in-the-wall destination. Seoul BBQ serves you a piping sizzling Bulgogi that is sweet and fragrant. The sizzle makes the food come alive! The portions too are generous and you'd fill up quick.

I was once a customer until getting to know the character, or lack thereof, of it's owners. If you want real korean food then go to one of many great restaurants in koreatown. This place is a joke and only stays in business because there are no other Korean restaurants in the area.

    (1)
  • Lan C.

Great lunch place, a little bit overrated. Their food is decent, but compared to other korean restaurants I've tried, it's not up to par. The flavor are a bit on the bland side. I like the side vegetables they serve along side their dishes.

My favorite place to get bibimbab in burbank. This place serves good food in good portions at reasonable prices. im glad they expanded.

  • Ernest T.

A legit spot where they give you a good amount of food. Kalbi, bulgogi and the pork are very food and hot and on the spot. They give you a plate with rice and a good amount of side...you will get stuffed and take some food home. When you walk in you think its a whole in the wall, but there is a back room...kinda like the bat cave but with food. I like the place because its like going to your korean homies house for dinner with there family. you see whos cooking your food and service with smile...this place makes me want to learn Korean, just cuz...and a good diversity of people go there...when I went this older Filipino were speaking in tagalog saying that (in tagalog), "it must be good, because it smells korean." There you go, it must be good.

Me and my girlfriend decided to try this place on a whim ( and these reviews). I definitely like the place. It's rather small but the food and service is great. Everybody was friendly, even close to closing time. It's a small menu but the servings are more than enough. I tried the bulgogi and my significant other tried the spicy pork if I remember. The bulgogi was a little on the sweet side for me but still good. The pork was great! Each dish comes with two scoops of rice, a side of kimchi, spinach and bean sprouts. The dishes are pretty much all under ten bucks. Our food was ready in literally 5 minutes. And served on a sizzling plate. What else do you want? Try it!

My husband and I have been coming here for ten years. Its by far the best korean place we've ever tried. Everything on the menu is delicious. Even on an "off" day it beats the korean place in our neighborhood. I recommend the number one special, where you pretty much get a taste of everything kalbi, bulgogi, chicken. For a few years now my husband and I have been getting the number one but substituting the chicken for the amaaaazing spicy pork. They have a couple of vegetarian dishes...hmm maybe one, the dumplings, which are so delicious we always get that as an appetizer. Highly recommend this place if you want bomb korean food. They've recently expanded the space too, so theres plenty of dine in seating.

Found this hole in the wall Korean BBQ restaurant while wandering around downtown Burbank. I missed it the first time I walked by but the second time through my nose found it for me. The smell of the Kalbi was amazing. I really like the way the Kalbi and the spicy pork tastes. The bulgolgi is a little too sweet for me. I've only gotten the food to go twice and they only include kimchee, bean sprouts, and spinach as sides. A decent mix for the sides but the kimchee isn't spicy at all. For the price, the quality, and the taste I'll be back again.

  • Joe M.

Man, this place smells like a Korean house on steroids, but that's a good thing in this case. There was a lot of grilling, stir frying, and serving up of piles of kimcheeeeeee. I took my Kalbi to go and when I opened my styrofoam box of joy, I discovered a ton of beef rib slivers that I actually almost couldn't finish! With two scoops of perfectly sticky white rice and a side of tangy, spicy kimchi, a side of bean sprouts, and spinach made my stomach a happy internal organ. I thought my first visit to this fast-food Korean joint was a success. Friendly service and generous food distribution makes this place my brand new Seoul mate.

Not quite what I was looking for. I have been looking for a local place in Burbank to get tasty bibimbop. Now, I am a fan of getting hot stone pot bibimbop with spicy pork bugolgi, but the bugolgi here is cold and comes with beef bugolgi. Since that was not an option, I just got it since I wanted some bibimbop. It was okay. Nothing to write home about. I am going to keep looking elsewhere because I think I can find something better. The service was courteous and quick. The people in the kitchen thanked me when I left, which always puts a smile on my face. I don't know if I will go back to try any of the other items on the menu or not.

This is a really great spot for Korean food! The place is very clean and everything is made to order so far as I can tell. Staff is super friendly. Portions are generous and very fairly priced. I've tried about half their menu (and interestingly there are only ten things on the menu - they are focused!). I like the spicy pork. The short ribs are very good, too, as are the tofu fried dumplings. Take a break from the usual Chinese and Japanese and try Seoul!

My friends and I found this place by accident. Our initial plan was to eat at Season Thai, but when we got there at 2PM on a Saturday afternoon, it was closed! WTH?? So we walked around to see if there were any other places to eat, and we found Seoul Korean BBQ. Their menu is fairly small, and is comprised of most of the staple foods you'd find at other Korean BBQ establishments (bibimbap, bulgogi, short ribs), but I was most impressed when I saw that they also had meat jun! I was first introduced to meat jun by my boyfriend during my first visit to Hawaii almost 6 years ago, and we have it every time we go back. It's available at almost any Korean restaurant in Hawaii. The funny thing is that not a lot of people here in L.A. know about it. Even our Korean friends had no idea what it was! It's basically thinly sliced meat cooked in an egg batter served with some sort of special sauce. So I ended up ordering the meat jun, and it was pretty good. It was somewhat different to the meat jun that I'm used to (they used bulgogi instead of brisket), but overall, it was still pretty good. The portions are fairly large, and you can even request additional side orders (which my friends took advantage of). I'm pretty sure we'll be back for more, since it's close by. A great alternative to driving all the way to K-Town!

  • Jessie M.

Wow, I don't think I will ever order anything but the Fish Jun here again. Unbelievably flavorful, light, delicious! Ugh. It's 10am and I'm craving it already.

  • Jim D.

Stop by here for a good portion of Korean bbq that's got great flavor. Make sure to either order the pork, or ask to substitute the pork in for something on their special (chicken IMO). The staff is always hustling and doing their best to get everyone their food quickly and to be very attentive. They're very nice and take the time to stop just long enough to make you feel taken care of. 4 stars in general, 5 stars for Korean food in Burbank.

    (4)
  • Allen D.

If you want "all you can eat," then don't come here (but really, you shouldn't be eating that much korean bbq any way). This place is delicious and the servers are really nice. (P.S. You do NOT have to walk THROUGH the kitchen...that reviewer was deluded at the lack of not being able to stuff her face!)

    (5)
  • Lauren R.

When we come here, we order ALOT. We always get the usual-Spicy Pork, Kalbi, and the Bulgogi. And of course, the fried mandoo which you cannot ever forget. ever. The servings are not that generous, but the prices are pretty low so I guess that's fine. They do give us lots of kimchi, spinach and bean sprouts. Not a big fan of the chicken and the soup (forgot the name). The service is quick and the girls behind the counter are fast. Every time we come here, there is an elderly couple whom I assume own the place and they are very involved with the business. You can see her chopping up veggies and the elderly gentleman working the grill. Only downside is the parking nightmare in DT Burbank.

  • Eric H.

Picked up some food with a few friends - here's what we got: 1) Combo #1 - the meat was a little sweeter than we expected, but it was tasty. The Kalbi was better than the chicken, which in turn was better than the bulgolgi. We'll try subbing in spicy pork for the bulgolgi in the future. 4/5 2) Fish Jun - SHOW STEALER. So delicious, and not at all fishy tasting. 5/5 3) Bibimbap - Meh. It was...alright? Not especially great or bad. Just...alright. 3/5

    (4)
  • Alexandra B.

Delicious meat, very simple menu. I love the spicy pork. As another reviewer said, they should add more ventilation since you ALWAYS smell like BBQ after leaving this place, but whatever. It's very tasty!

    (4)
  • Shirley L.

So I tried the Meat Jun on Friday. OMG...soooo good! I love it! Basically it's bulgogi fried with eggs with vinegar on side. So it was sweet (from the bulgogi juice) and vinegar tasting at the same time...MMMM...yum! It was so good that I ordered it again today! =X

  • T N.

I've giving 4/5 stars for the category of small mom and pop business serving freshly made food as opposed to "buffet" style. You aren't going to find any other restaurant which serves Korean BBQ on a sizzle platter for well under $10. Seoul Korean BBQ cannot be beat! 3 meals + 1 coke + miso = $30.02 While the restaurant is very humble it is impeccably clean and BUSY. We arrived at 6:00 pm and all the tables were taken. I recommend to-go. The fish meal wasn't special but the bulgogi and special combination platter were both above average. The kimchee served wasn't very hot and the sides were average but fresh. I would give 5 stars if they improved their plastic cups which seem a bit worn.

  • Mighty M.

This place is da bomb! We go to this place often and for the price it's the best Korean food around town. The spicy pork is wickedly good! I'd just imagine the smell and flavor of the spicy pork and I'll start getting hungry. For a little more kick, ask for their hot sauce. I was just there for lunch today and the food still tastes great. I even ordered some for take out for dinner (kalbi and bulgogi). The ladies are really nice and courteous. I believe this is a family owned business. That is why their attention to detail in preparing every food is excellent. Again the price is very reasonable and the serving is quite a lot. It's up to you to pig out and finish it all or spare some for later. I highly recommend this place. Tip: You can try their special but substitute the chicken with the spicy pork so you end up getting spicy pork, kalbi and bulgogi.

This place is excellent!! I've come a few times and never had any complaints. Friendly staff, and quick delicious food!! I just wish they were open on Sundays! I don't know why, but i always crave some KBBQ on a mid Sunday day!!

What can I say? I love this place! The service is good and it reminds me of my moms cooking. Excellent grub. The kalbi is ridiculously good! Melts in your mouth. Giggity!

I don't think I will ever visit again.... I paid good fair amount of $65 dollar for 3 and it was so called "unlimited dish". But, just after the first dish, I called the waitress and they responded in 15 minutes and way they asked was like just 'DON"T BOTHER ME'. Their boiled egg was half cooked and it was very unprofessional, moreover, I felt really embrassed in front of my guests and they shove the bill at our table, even while we were waiting for some soups and rice to finish the meal. I've gone to various beef unlimited Korean restaurant and this one was pricey and unprofessional and service was just oh... I think the restaurant not only sell the food but their image and the service.. in that respect, I don't have any impression one so ever with them.

I love this place! It's a little Korean joint and the spicy pork is bawwwlinnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!! They serve two little balls of rice so you might want to order an extra side :) The girls that served me were really nice too =)

  • Stephen P.

I work nearby this joint and unlike my vegetarian colleagues I love Korean food. But I'm not a beef eater (I'm English and we invented BSE, mad cow disease ;) ! ) But there are some fish and chicken choices too. So, this Korean cafe is not a plush, fancy, BBQ from K-Town (like Chosun Galbee). No, this is a simple, white formica table cafe with great comfort food. I love the Fish Jun, a fish fillet battered in egg and served with rice and vegetable/pickles. I was told it's known as the Korean pizza as it's a good snack food that can be eaten with your fingers. Ummm, I'm not sure... Still, this family run place is a nice change from the bland, formulaic, franchise places nearby. Oh, and you'll always leave with a box of food for the evening if you chose to eat slowly...you'll never finish it all. Psst - you may smell of BBQ all day as the smoke travel, but it's worth it!

Its like a little hole in the wall. I ordered the Kalbi plate and I thought it was done right. Service was a little slow, but then again this was on a weekday during lunch hour. But overall, it was a good experience and I would go here again.

Avoid Man Do Soup at all cost. It is a dumpling soup. Full of MSG. I had it for lunch and felt horrible the whole afternoon.

  • Al U.

This place is certainly no beaut, but the food here always satisfies my sudden cravings for Korean food. It also helps that the service here is always very polite and prompt. And while there is better KBBQ in K-Town, this place comes with good food, good service, and NO traffic.

we ordered for pick up today for office lunch. everyone is happy, food is really good!!

  • Michael S.

The first thing you will notice as you walk by/towards this place is that there are only three two-person tables in there. DO NOT let that put you off because there is another room you can't see in back with plenty of tables. Once you walk in you are greeted by the people cooking and washing behind the counter, which is a nice touch. As far as the food goes, I keep coming back to the bulgogi and especially the spicy pork. The nice and attentive waitress takes your order and it doesn't take too long to arrive at your table. In the case of spicy pork (and the other meat dishes) you get a side dish of rice, veggies, and, of course, kimchi. It's a great combination and I have no problem eating it all up. Your check arrives with a stick of Doublemint gum, which you might think is odd but it really hits the spot for some reason. Pay your bill, leave, and the people cooking and washing behind the counter tell you goodbye. Good food and nice people. No complaints from me.

This place is one of my lunch time go to spots. I have tried almost everthing on their limited menu and have been quite pleased. On my brother's recommendation, I tried the Bibimbap, what a wonderful dish. If I were to guess, this place is family run. The staff are incredibly friendly. I don't feel like I am getting the round eye treatment that I get at other Korean places. Great food and great service.

overall, this place is stellar. the portion sizes are exceedingly generous, and everything tastes super. and the kicker that pushes this place beyond four stars is that their prices are amazingly reasonable. they also get bonus points for being a mom and pop type eatery. really like this place -- great korean bbq!

  • Tricia E.

I just went by there for lunch today. Very simple menu with the basic Korean staples. I had bulgogi, japchae, kimchee. I also noticed that they have meat jun on the menu...rare to find in some Korean restaurants but very common in Hawaii and beloved by the locals. Cons - small, hot and you end up smelling like well-spiced bulgogi and kalbi with a dash of kimchee just for kicks. Better to order and pick up.

yep, it was really good. definitely the hole-in-the-wall, family owned and operated. over the counter sale. you're looking at the whole family behind the counter, prepping, grilling, steaming, plating, packing and wrapping to go, taking the money, washing the dishes... there's actually a small hidden dining room in the back, but i preferred to sit outside on the city of burbank provided urban landscaping fake stone wall and watch the side walk street life on a monday night. i had the #1 skb special, which is a combo plate of kalbi, bulgogi and marinated chicken, served with two scoops of steamed rice and spicy kim chi cabbage, sesame bean sprouts and spinach. all the meat was good quality, smoky, crunchy, juicy and flavorful. i did ask for a side of their hot sauce, which i think was bean paste based, but very good. i dipped the chicken in it. $8.95 good deal. try it!!!

I love this place. I have frequented this place many times with my boyfriend. It's our favorite spot for Korean food in the Valley. The prices are very reasonable compared to places in K-town. The food is always great. The people there are always happy to see you. Great little mom and pop joint.

  • Elan A.

This little hole-in-the-wall has some excellent food. The bulgogi has tons of flavor and is super delicious, and the spicy pork is awesome. The dining room is tiny and unexciting so I recommend just getting take-out, but the food is great and the price is right!

I was disappointed with my lunch here. Yes, they give you a lot of food...but the atmosphere is severely lacking and the quality of their dishes was debatable. I'd pass.

i'm glad they have a korean restaurant near where i work. so convenient...besides that. they serve a good amount of portion that can be served for 2 people. awesome food selection and a service as equally as good as the food. you just come out smelling like their food.

I have been eating here for many years. I live in Burbank and I love Korean BBQ. This place is so convenient for me. I don't have to go to Korean town to get good Korean food and the price is so reasonable. I love spicy pork, bimbimbab and Calbi.

    (4)
  • Maneh B.

I usually go to K-Town for this kind of serious BBQ...BUT this place is amazing. The staff is really friendly and the food is amazing. The portions are great, you get a lot of meat (a little too much rice if you ask me). Def worth a try, since Burbank isn't really known for their Korean BBQ. And for the price? You can't beat that....TRY IT!

    (5)

i've only ordered take-out here...and they are generous with the portions...food is made to order and the staff is the friendliest..my heart and my tummy are happy!!

It was the first time to come to this restaurant. Clean and nice but not many choice of "Korean foods" They don't even offer "korean soups" in menu; however, taste of foods are excellent. We pretty much ordered 5 dishes and those are all good.

Meat was quite salty, but service was hospitable. Restaurant was clean and the waitress regularly refilled our water which is essentially what my bf bases tip off of. Personally, I think it is worth driving to K town for better KBBQ. FYI, this is not the Korean BBQ you cook yourself on the table. It is cooked in the kitchen and served to you at your table.

What a hidden find! I grew up in Burbank and totally missed this. It's a cool mom and pop type restaurant. I got the hearty Bibimbap: For under $10 bucks you get 10 different veggies, slices of beef, an egg, bowl of miso soup and side of Korean hot sauce. NOW THATS A GREAT LUNCH DEAL! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that my bowl was a little watered down (maybe from the veggies?) and the hot sauce wasn't spicy enough for me. However, this will not deter me from going back to eat the bibimbap and also try the other dishes!

Tried out the beef shortribs today and was not disappointed! I got it with no rice so I wasn't as full as I was with the chicken, but that just means I get to have a mid-day snack later on :) So far (between the chicken and pulled meat), the shortribs were my favorite. But they were also the most expensive (around $20 with tip and no drink).

I've been here a few times. Quite honestly I'm not sure what all the hype is about. Is it because it's the only KBBQ in Burbank? The food was mediocre at best. The Bulgogi meat tasted a little weird. The portions are not bad for the price they charge. The overall restaurant is pretty clean. The staff is friendly. Someone mentioned in a previous comment that it's similar to a cafeteria type of seating. Right on the money! You have to park in the parking structure or public parking lot and walk to the restaurant. It's not usually busy. Food comes out in a timely manner. Would I come back again? Probably not. I'll stick to BCD tofu house or one of those AYCE KBBQ joints.

Went there with my girlfriend a couple nights ago and must say that we had a fairly good experience. We were immediately greeted by the whole staff as we walked in (cooks and all). We had choice seating because it wasn't filled.. We had a nice friendly waitress that did a great job running around and accommodating everyone. We got our food in a timely manner. and it was really good. We got the special which came with 3 types of meat (Chicken, Bulgogi, and Kalbi) and we also ordered the spicy pork. All the meats were cooked perfect for us. Tender and not dry. We also had the miso soup which we thought we mediocre. So service and food was great! I only give at 4 stars because lack of variety of meats, even though they had everything i liked. It just would have been nice to have a wider variety. All in all I recommend giving it a try,. We plan on going back Cheers!

Pros: -Probably the only place to get Korean food in Burbank -Good food -Good portions -Fairly spacious Cons: -Price hikes -Closes early -Food takes a while to come out -They NEED more staff on busy nights! Only two waitresses on a packed Saturday at dinnertime meant people were sitting and waiting constantly---for orders to be taken, drinks to be delivered, food to arrive, tables bussed, etc. I don't blame the poor frazzled waitresses as they were very apologetic and did the best they could as they literally ran from the kitchen to the dining room, but the owner/manager is clearly understaffing and running these poor girls ragged.

The food here is ok. I ordered the bimbimbap and it wasn't served in a stone bowl which was a disappointment. The kimchi selection is limited and comes i very small portions. It clearly came out of a jar. The service is quick and the food came out fast.

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago with my wife and baby. We live close by and decided to check it out. I ordered food "to go". My wife decided to eat somewhere else due to the bad smell in the kitchen. I was okay with trying it out. Once the food was ready I told the girl helping that I've decided to "dine-in", while my wife and baby ate somewhere else. She told me that I was unable to "dine in", because I already told her it was "to go". I already gave a 20% tip, and was going to eat in their outdoor seating area. This was a work week around 8pm...I was their only customer. The girl told me that she'd get fired if she let me eat there...even if they transferred my food to a plate. I left and ate on one of the bus benches near by. I tried the food, (I got the house special). I am not a picky eater at all, but the chicken was very under cooked and poor quality of meat.... similar to the food court at the mall. Even if they were nice and let me eat at the restaurant, I still would have written a bad review due to the quality of food. I should have trusted my wife's intuition. I have told my neighbors and friends about my experience...and the few that have tried it there had their own nightmare story about this place.

Came here for lunch a few weeks ago. Got the lunch meat plate. Wow talk about a ton of food. I could have easily feed 2 people. The meat was perfectly cooked. The food came out in under 10 minutes. This place is really tasty. Great for a quick bite of lunch. Atmosphere is a bit cafeteria like but who cares, the food is amazing. Service: very friendly servers, fast service.

This place is always great when I'm in the mood for Bulgogi but this time we fell in love with the bimbimbop. My daughter is always a bit picky when it comes to asian style dishes and she loved it! Plus the staff is always courteous and friendly. Enjoy!

As a local resident, I like the variety of places to eat on San Fernando Road in Downtown Burbank. This is a great place to eat for authentic Korean BBQ. Their Kalbi Beef and Jap Chae noodles are amazing. I am giving this place 4 out of 5 stars only because they have limited options. I usually dine by myself and when I wanted a combination of the Kalbi Beef and Jap Chae I have no choice but order both. So of course, I paid almost $30. That is a lot of money for lunch for one person. I hope they consider having combination options or I'll just turn to Ono Hawaiian BBQ around the corner where I can get the Kalbi Beef combo for half the price I just paid.

This was my go to spot in Burbank but this last visit was a lot more expensive. Chicken used to be $6.95 and spicy pork was $7.95 now it is $10.95 and $11.95. That is a huge price difference. It was busy during lunch hour and they only had two waitresses. It took awhile before we could even order or receive our drinks. The waitresses were hustling the entire time but one more would have been better.

First let me say that I love this place. They have the BESTS bulgogi. The reason I give it two stars is that they close way too early! The restaurant closes at 9. I walked in at 8:58 and everyone working in the restaurant yells "sorry we're closed!" The sign clearly says you close at 9 and I made it before closing. If I were at any other restaurant I would still get served.

I've been coming to Seoul KBBQ for a few years now. A few years ago, it wasn't as busy and the prices were about $3 less than what they are now. Kalbi was about $13, now it's $16. We come to eat here every few weeks since KTown is far during the week to get our fix. Tonight has to be the most disappointed I've ever been. Two nights ago we were going to pick up food but the phone just rang and rang. No one picked up for about 20 minutes. Got tired of waiting so we picked up food somewhere else. We decided to eat at the restaurant tonight with 7 month old baby in tow. I seated myself because no one bothered to seat us and it took 10 minutes to get a menu. Upon passing the menu, I politely asked the server if I could place an order now as it takes 25 minutes to get our orders. She said that she wasn't able to take my order because the kitchen is backed up. I could feel myself get annoyed already. As calm as I could, I explained that I had a baby with me and that I'd like to put my order in to avoid wasting time. She asked me if it was urgent that I put the order in. I replied, "Yes!" She went back into the kitchen and came back saying she could not take my order until it became less busy. I told her not to worry about it as I was leaving. I asked for the managers name and she said she could not do that because they don't speak English. I stormed out upset. This isn't a negative review of their food. I am a fan of the Kalbi and I believe it's great for weeknight meals. However I am so disappointed with their lack of professionalism. Understaffing a business is no way to cut costs as your customer service suffers. If I'm paying $16, I don't want to be ignored then told I can't place an order. Who runs a business like that? I read other Yelp reviews for this place and the common denominator is their terrible service. I'm still in shock I was denied an order due to a backed up kitchen. They should know better as a business to be prepared for the daily traffic, weeknights and weekdays - especially since they've been in business this long. I also suggest they have a manager that can speak English because a business owner should know about complaints and want to right those wrongs. Putting this restaurant on time out for a few months until they get their shit together.

Great service! Excellent yummy food! We ordered the Seoul Korean BBQ Combination & Miso soup, and really enjoyed both! Meat portion was really generous, wish I could have more rice to go with the meat though. Vegetables though small portion, could be refilled :) waited quite a while to be served because of limited manpower. But staff were courteous and friendly, always smiling! Love this place!

Everything here is yummy. I use to walk here from my old house in Burbank and it was certainly worth the trip. The prices have gone up a bit over the years (hence the -1 star) but the service is great and the food quality is consistent.

This family owned and run place is working really hard to keep business going, but there are definite kinks to work out to keep customers happy and returning. We came on a Friday evening and took the last available table. There are about a dozen tables and two servers. Everything took a long time; from getting our orders in, to receiving our drinks, and then finally our meals. This happened all night to every table as the servers were apologetic when patrons grew impatient. The servers were definitely busy as they were literally running from place to place. Hiring more staff will definitely help. Being from a Korean background and having spent half of my life in k-town, I know good Korean food. I sadly have to say that food here was lacking much flavor. Meats were bland and japchae was light with nontraditional ingredients (such as chopped fried egg whites and that pink and white fish cake). I'm used to the bold kick in kbbq and that smokey, caramelized char derived from the clay dishes that this place lacked. My whitey bf says that it might have been intentional for the non-asian population as he mentioned that real Korean flavors are a bit intimidating to first-timers. I really have no opinion on this matter as I can't speak for it. This place is really trying though, and as have had been in the restaurant owning business long ago, I know they're working very hard. Just gotta iron out the kinks and put more flavor in the food!

Stopped in here the other evening for a quick meal and was pleasantly surprised. None of us has much experience with Korean BBQ so I can't compare it to anywhere else but we were very pleased. We ordered the Kalbi, Bulgogi and Jap Chae. The Kalbi and Bulgogi were excellent and the Jap Chae very good. Everything was very tasty, nothing was oversalted (a pet peeve for me) and we will definitely be returning. The place has a fast food vibe and was pretty empty around 7pm on Saturday so we didn't have any issues with service and everyone was very friendly.

I was happy when I got there but the food was a dump didn't want to complain it wasn't cheap the bulgolgi was horrible never going back!! The service was bad just not good at all

Good food. Horrible service. Mine and several other tables sat around for several minutes waiting for the menus. Then we waited for the waitress to take our orders. THEN we waited for our food. The whole ordeal took forever. I do love Korean food and have frequented Ktown many a times. I wish I had stuck to those places because the food and service was not worth it.

Lowkey hole in the wall but its way too clean to be tbh. Still an amazing place though. I love that theres a small menu. Means they really focus on these dishes. Im definitely coming back to try the fish jun or whatever. I had the bulgogi. It was amazing. The entree to banchan ratio is horrible though. Not nearly enough rice kimchi beansprouts seaweed to match the beef. Looks almost poverty with all that space left on the plate too. But I managed. Im too used to the banchan being on separate dishes and unlimited. Meal was really good. Hidden burbank gem. Definitely give this place a try.

I really enjoyed our lunch here. A good friend on mine lives in the area and suggested this spot while we were out shopping. The restaurant itself is small but well kept and the service was very friendly. We each decided to get the short ribs and spilt a bibimbap. This location is not an AYCE but the portions were quite large. I had a huge plate piled high with short ribs that were sitting on a bed of grilled onions. The marinade was fantastic...I highly recommend. I also enjoyed the sides of kimchi and bean sprouts. I skipped the rice because carbs... They actually brought us the bibimap with rice on the side. Super cool if you ask me since I am a low carber. The bibimap was tasty. I loved all of the different veggies and the meat had a ton of flavor. Lots of diet coke refills and over all just a great experience.

They have a somewhat limited menu, but their food was pretty good. I liked the kalbi, spicy pork, and bulgogi. I was a little disappointed upon coming here to find that it's not one of the grill your own places. It's also not AYCE, but the portions are decent, although the meat is piled on top of a mound of onions, so at first glance, I thought there was more meat than there actually was.

I may have been to harsh with my 3 start review since this is one oft he places I dine in at least once a month. Although their menu has not changed it is walking distance from our home and the food is consistent and good for a local fast food Korean joint. Still recommend their Kalbi platter and please if the owner is reading this can you please add weekly specials to your menu.

DELICIOUS! Need I say more? Ok VERY delicious. This is one of my top two favorite restaurants in Burbank. My husband and I have been coming here since we first moved to this area and we love it! It's a cute little family-owned restaurant with great food and great costumer service. Trying the Fried Mandoo and the Kalbi (bbq ribs) a must! Kalbi is my favorite dish there while my husband loves their spicy pork. Highly recommended!

First time there. Had the bulgogi and tried the Bibimbap. I was enchanted by the bulgogi. Loved it. The size, the taste, the experience. Also tried the Bibimbap. I was pleasantly surprised. It was very tasty. And the fact that we had to mix it ourselves rather than it coming already mixed like at Guy Kaku was new, but fun. I would go back, mainly for the bulgogi but I would try new things.

Great for getting your Kbbq fix without having to drive to ktown. Not all you can eat and offers almost no sides aside from kimchi and bean sprouts, but the meat is high quality, prices are fair and the service is friendly. I highly recommend the Kali - pick them up and eat them like a caveman grrrrr yummmm their miso soup is meh but their rice is crack. Also, has coke products on tap.

My hubby and I love K-food. I've always wanted to try this place, but you think that you're in Burbank and why would you eat Korean food in Burbank? Well, I'm glad we did! The food was delicious. We tried the spicy pork and bibimbap. Next time (yes, there will be a repeat visit) we are definitely trying the kalbi short ribs. Many people were ordering it and it smelled so good. The banchan selection was minimal, but it was perfect for us. We really only enjoy the spinach, beansprouts, and kimchee anyway. And you can ask for more!! The service was excellent. This place did get busy, but the servers keep everything moving along and are very aware of the order that you came in. Don't let the simple menu fool you. The spices and flavors you will taste do not disappoint! No parking lot, but there's plenty of street parking on and off of San Fernando Road. The dining area is new and open. You don't have to sit right next to strangers. It is a great place to satisfy that kimchee craving and you don't want to trek your way to K-Town.

Great Korean BBQ spot in Burbank!!! Decent prices and very satisfying. They could put more veggies/sides on the plate but the taste of the BBQ makes up for it!! Hope to be back soon!!

Not bad for Korean. It's not too salty and saucy which I like so much... We ordered Bibimbap with Brown Rice, Japchae and Special BBQ. It was a nice lunch. Servers Are nice except they don't give extra kimchi for free...

It's all good! Just got home from another quick and tasty meal at Seoul Korean BBQ and had to write a review. I pretty much always get the bibimbap- I've tried everything and it's all great but the bibimbap rocks my world! And their homemade hot sauce is pretty much perfect. I asked if I could buy some so I could have it at home to add to pretty much everything... They said yes :) So good!

Went here for dinner tonight - tried spicy pork, kalbi, bulgogi and chicken. The kalbi and spicy pork were our favorites. I didn't like the seasoning/marinade as much as many other korean bbqs I have tried, but the portion was a generous size and the meat wasn't fatty. It was fine, just nothing special. It was pretty busy and there was only one server - she was doing a great job and kept a positive attitude, though!

Every time I go to Burbank I make sure to fit this restaurant into my schedule. The food is perfection! The consistency of their meals is always on point and customer service is great. I always get the SBk salad, short rib plate and iced green tea. I've also had their combo which comes with short rib, bulgogi (shredded mouthwatering soft beef) and chicken. You can't go wrong with either order but the short rib fantastic. They also provide gum for their customers on the way out. Very considerate!

Burbank gets a bit of beginner Korean. Basic Korean Food 101. This is a no frills, easy decision Korean food place. You've got like 4 choices of meat, two types of soup, three appetizers, and that's about it. (I might have missed something, but if I did, it wasn't much). If you are wanting to go full on Korean food, skip this place. If you want some tasty spicy pork and some decent mandoo - this is a winner. Strangely enough, you come out smelling like you went to full on K-style bbq in K-town. If you're going to eat here, be prepared to smell like smokey yummy bbq all day. *sings* My BBQ brings all the boys to the yard and my kimchi is better than yours. (too corny? Yea....)

I tried this place a few nights ago and it was a great experience. You get a lot of food and the ambiance is fun and cozy. Our waiter was so helpful and guided us with the menu and showed us how to cook the meat properly. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because they throw away all of the left over food. They don't allow you to take anything home, which is sort of understandable since it's an all you can eat place. However, I asked if they could share the leftover food with the homeless population which is highly prevalent in the area, and the manager said no without really explaining why. I guess, I just hate to see food get wasted and now I know how much to order when I go there next. :(

The yummiest BBQ in Burbank ..

  • Michael D.

Yes! Good! Go!!! Ordered the number 4 (bulgogi) and ordered it as spicy as possible. The bulgogi is rib eye but it looks like shredded beef and not too chunky. Perfect for people who don't know how to use chopsticks. It was good and spicy but still packed with savory flavor. The nice thing about this place is that it's hip, clean, and the food comes right out. Every plate is made to order and the servers run this place like a swiss watch. I'm in some serious food coma right now and struggling to fall asleep at my desk. It's a lot of food but you won't regret it! Very good spot!

Just a star for phone ettiquete. If you're busy we all understand but do not just pick up your phone and do not say anything. We were sitting there hearing workers for five minutes or so. We even said hello thinking maybe they were distracted and would proceed with the call but to no avail. I still LOVE you but you get one star tonight. Try hello and please hold next time. I'll wait because we do love your food but so disappointed we could not order dinner.

Decent Korean lunch option in Burbank. I like the mixed meat plate which comes out hot and sizzling topped with chicken, bulgogi, and galbi. I'm not a big bulgogi fan so I swapped that out for spicy pork. I also tried the bibimbap. It was good as far as bibimbap goes, but I think I prefer hot stone pot bibimbap, which this wasn't. Just a personal preference. Not too much in way of banchan, but they have good kimchi. Although the banchan portions are tiny, they will refill upon request.

I've been eating at Seoul Korean BBQ for years and I always know what to expect. The food is consistent and delicious, and the staff is friendly. It is small, but it is also super clean. The prices have gone up over the past few months, but I will continue to come to this restaurant as many times as I can.

  • Christopher T.

It is sad to say that, as much as I like this place, this place will be raising its prices by next month in March1st by $3.00. Due to cost of the economy prices of meat On the plus side, there is really no change in the amount they give to customers/guest. They will stay with their same routines and layout. For me giving a three star is due to the price. Overall their food is always great, I may come by from time to time. But not as much as before. So if you need your Korean BBQ fix, come now before next month comes. They will keep their normal prices for this last week only.

Korean BBQ in a rush and on a budget. If you're expecting Ktown quality food, I'm telling you right now: This is not it. But, realize that you are in downtown Burbank and you've got some slim pickins. On recent visits, I've enjoyed the fried mandu (so tiny, but so good!), kalbi, chicken, and pork. Of these, the mandu and the pork are my favorites. They're good and charred on a generous bed of onions. Everyone gets a serving of rice with kimchi, spinach and garlicky bean sprout as ban chan. For around $8.95 per dish (kalbi is pricier), it's a decent deal. I'd rank Ktown or Valley supermarket food as being better tasting, but again, realize where you are. Be sure to ask for extra kimchi and hot sauce. Never really that crowded, super nice waitresses, and quick in and out dining. Parking isn't as bad on this side of San Fernando Blvd., so an extra plus.

Food is super fresh with sizable portions! I had the bulgogi and it was pretty good! It comes with rice, kimchi, sprouts, and steamed greens all for around 10 bucks. 4/5 stars for taste. Staff is super friendly too. So they too get one star! The area is busy and parking is tough to find but luckily there is a parking structure just around the corner on orange grove ave.

This is my Mom's favorite Korean BBQ place outside of K Town or Little Tokyo. She gets the BBQ combo plate, I get either spicy pork, bulgogi or fish jun - it's all good ; ) The people are warm - friendly & the food is fresh & tasty. I love the spinach & bean sprout banchans.

We were a little worried when we were the ONLY people in the restaurant. But that meant we got great service. We split the SKB Salad which was too big and kinda ginger spicy. We had the Kalbi(steak) which was yummy! We also ordered the Chicken which was good. Moderately priced. We'll return.

  • Crystle B.

It was really good. They are generous with the meat portion but i will agree with the few that mentioned small portions on the vegs and rice. The prices are reasonable. I had the special, a lil of everything, which were still a generous amount. Wish they put more sauce though. I def will be going back.

This is the closest Korean spot to us. It is fast and delicious. My husband loves their spicy pork and won't get it anywhere else. Their kalbi is awesome as well. I will switch it up and get their mandoo soup (the dumplings are homemade). When we eat at the restaurant, we order the fried dumplings. I love that they have brown rice and their unsweetened green tea is good. Very simple but delicious food. The chicken is decent, which I wish came spicy. I do NOT like their bulgogi though.

Every trip to the Burbank Town Center is just so-so, but I love the food places around here! I recently tried this one since my bf and I love Korean BBQ. We got the #1 combo, which is chicken, bulgogi, and kalbi (short ribs). It was delicious and so worth the $10, but the bulgogi meat tasted a bit cheap to us. It was not chewy like bulgogi is supposed to be; it was just small soft pieces of meat. The chicken and short ribs were great quality though! The food is good and the service is decent. They give you really small portions for the sides (kimchi and veggies) but it was delicious. I highly recommend getting #2 with just the kalbi. Totally worth it!

Sometimes, the mere thought of driving through Western exhausts me. When I'm craving Korean BBQ, this is my preferred spot because their food is tasty and the portions are generous. I always have enough for a second lunch to take home. This place reminds me of plate lunch eateries in Hawaii. Meat, rice and banchan (veggie side dishes). I especially like this place because they have meat jun! It's not as common for LA spots to have meat jun on their menu. My Favorites: - Meat Jun - Fish Jun - Mandoo

  • Jeff R.

This is a nifty little place for lunch right in the heart of downtown Burbank ! We just went there on Friday. Really great prices for good Korean food. Not great Korean food, but huge bang for your buck. They give you a large pile of well cooked and tasty Korean BBQ. For like $9, you get beef, chicken or spicy pork. For $ 12, you get the beef ribs. And your clothes smell like MEAT for hours ! It's like they cooked you along with your lunch. You can't beat the new perfume "Scent of Korean Meat". Awesome. They should bottle that ! Really great deal. Nice people work there, for sure. I'm going again soon. Like getting in my car NOW.

  • Monkey T.

Yummy portion-controlled grub! Not that Monkey needs more... They just don't offer all the sides that you usually get at other Korean restaurants. Still, very nice service, clean tables and very clean restroom. Limited menu of 8 main dishes, with a focus on meat. Monkey do: BIBIMBAP w/BROWN RICE on the side - comes with miso soup & kimchi Here on business, Monkey runs then eats here. Every time. Bibimbap is mostly veggies, thin strips of beef and fried egg on top. Happy the rice is served on the side, avoiding the food coma. Monkey always leaves here satisfied by the meal, service and price.

KBBQ + me = Happy Literally the best way to describe my obsession and this place. I love kbbq, and I don't think I could get sick of it. This place is definitely more 'hole in the wall' in terms of looks compared to the other stores in downtown Burbank. I ordered one of the combination plates with all 3 types of meat and came with kimchi and rice. I also placed an order of Jaipay glass noodles. Both dishes were absolutely amazing and definitely more than enough to take home for seconds.

Our favorite place to get our Korean food fix. Love their bulgogi and kalbi! The Kimchi is good too!

I've been coming here for years. I always order the bulgogi plate, it's delicious. They serve it with 2 scoops of white rice and some veggies. Everyone is friendly. The service is always great.

  • Stephanie T.

Love the kalbi here, but I knocked it down one star for the service. They're REALLY slow. THEN, they raised their prices. So, I knocked it down another star. For how much they're charging, it feels like we should be getting more food. Sadly, I haven't been back since they raised their prices--a pity, too, since the kalbi was really quite fantastic.

Great service, tasty Korean food, and refreshing atmosphere. Recommend it if you're in the area and craving Korean bbq.

No complaints about the food which is always good, but the constant price increases have made this place just too expensive for the type of restaurant that it is. I can eat at Granville or Elephant Bar--sit down restaurants with ambience--for the money I just spent. I've been coming here since they opened (2000) and the prices have doubled during that time.

I'm a big KBBQ fan and I've eaten at countless places including the all you can eat places in ktown. But this place always keeps me coming back. I've probably eaten here more than 40 times. And everyone that I bring with me gets totally hooked. Every time I'm in the area I swing by. I always get the spicy pork, which is way way way better than any other kbbq places I've tried. No one gets even close. It isn't greasy. It's a little blackened on the edges. Very tasty. I sometimes get the fried mandoo (dumplings) and those are awesome too. They have a special house recipe sauce they serve with them and I always end up ordering extra. Even my Jewish girlfriend who doesn't eat pork loved the spicy pork here. Their ribs are also very good. But I'm a sucker for spicy pork. It's a little gem this place. Some days of the week they close from 3-5pm. And they're not open on Sunday's. And the prices are very reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. Good stuff :)

This is my go to Korean BBQ place. I had the Beef Bulgogi and tried the Spicy Pork. The Beef Bulgogi was great tasting and a healthy portion. Word of warning: be careful not to inhale the smoke coming off the Spicy Pork platter. Those are spicy fumes! Service was super friendly and fast. It almost scared me.

When I lived in LA I use to drive to this place almost every week it was like a tradition to eat there. The short ribs omg the flavor the hot plate they come on still steaming. My goodness. It's a small place it's always hard to find parking but the place is clean The staff are very nice. I love the rice the kichi, spinach. I take the caramelized onions put them over the rice from that sizzling plate and it's time to have fun LOL two thumbs up for Korean bbq a really awesome experience everytime I visit there

  • Mel M.

Tried the SKB Special which is a combo of Kalbi, Bugogi and Chicken served w/rice and veggies $11.95 and an order of the Fried Mandoo $5.95. The SKB came out on a hot steaming sizzling plate like a volcano erupting! It was alright. The Mandoo was crisp and tasty. Place is clean, staff nice. Was a nice dinner experience

  • Hungry L.

Food was good and reasonably priced. I like the open kitchen when you walk through the door. The dumpling soup was a but bland, the all of the Korean bbq items were tasty!

    (5)
  • Louis T.

Food was good, tasted fresh, the soup lacked a little salt, but was good. The service is really what shines here. Fast friendly and they speak and understand English impeccably- only reason I feel that is important because if you are a Korean BBQ novice, you have an easier time ordering and understanding what you are getting.

  • Mike M.

We come here for lunch all the time. The BiBimBap is great, and I love that you can substitute brown rice (for a small fee.) The spicy pork is my favorite meat, but all of them (except the bulgogi) are good. Portions are large - and try the fried mandoo!

    (4)
  • Louis B.

Seriously delicious! I could not believe how great this place was. All the prices are reasonable and the portions are big. The quantity and quality are definitely present here. I had the Special (Beef, Short Ribs, and Chicken for $12) and their Mandoo (which was 16 pieces for $6). I also want to add that the mural in there is beautiful. Do not pass up this place! I am guaranteed to come back again... and again... and again.

  • Jaclyn U.

First of all: OMG @ the fried mandoo and spicy pork. I work in Burbank, so this is a cool little spot to meet up with my fiance for a quick, delicious (and cheap!) lunch :) Seriously, you can't beat the prices.

  • Esther A.

The food is consistently good, their service is always prompt and nice. I like the menu is simple. A good alternative to Ktown if you live in the valley.

I haven't been to this place since 2003 or so. It use to be a hole in the wall but now they have expanded to a sit-down place. Let me just say this is a perfect "Bang for your buck" type of place. I have the Short Rib and my girl had the chicken. They both were delicious and made fresh to order. My only thing I would suggest is that they give u more spinach and bell-sprouts. Other than that it is a perfect place to get Korean BBQ at a cheap price with a big portion of food. I will be coming here a lot more often!

    (4)
  • Greg W.

This is a very good place to get KBBQ. While its not AYCE its still a good portion for a great price. If you want to pig out get to meals and its still about the price for good AYCE KBBQ. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The short rib and bulgogi are really good. They also have soda on tap (YAAA). If you are in Downtown Burbank eat here :)

    (4)
  • Allison W.

First time here and first for Korean barbeque. There was no wait, the place was almost empty except for one couple that was dining. Normally if a place is empty, I don't go but we ordered anyway. The service was friendly and prompt, our drinks were brought out right away. We ordered the SKB Special. Very delicious! Will definitely be back for more

I'm sorry, but this place does not warrant four stars at all. I feel mislead and let down, since this place is so close to my work/house. Their food is super bland, doesn't come with enough side dishes, meat was really dry and is overall just.. meh. I hate to consider myself a Korean BBQ elitist, but really, the yelp review sums it up "Meh. I've experienced better." No all you can eat options, kind of 90's drab stereotypical Asian decor, and just..kind of depressing. I did not walk away feeling satisfied. Not a good thing when it comes to KBBQ.

    (2)
  • Natalie P.

The food is good ! The only reason I gave them a star is because they are way to over price. . Last time I went was june /2014 and went bck resent aug /2014 prices went up over 5 dollars .! They gave less food than they usually do and the girl was rude. !

  • Carolina N.

NOT ALL YOU CAN EAT!! we left immediately. and they probably think we just went in to use their restroom, so we apologize for that.... Oh and it was also weird and probably unsanitary because we had to walk kind of through the kitchen area when we went in, and like that is not clean at all, I'm sorry.

  • Richard G.

This is the sleeper in Burbank. Awesome dishes. I'd recommend over any other place. Got the combo plate for two people. Sub for the Spicy Pork. You may even want to get an extra plate of spicy pork. It's delicious. The prices were ridiculously cheap. And the staff always has a smile. Truly stand-up service. Thanks Yelp for taking us there!

  • Chris J.

This has become my goto place for Korean food since I live close. The Kalbi short ribs are freakin' awesome. Same with the bulgogi. They also have great service whether you are dining in or getting take out. I have to be honest though. I am fairly new to the LA area and I haven't eaten in Korea town. With that being said. You can't go wrong eating here.

  • L Y.

OK. This place is GOOOD! Although their menu selection is limited but if you're in the mood for KBBQ (i.e. Galbi, Bulgogi, Spicy Pork, etc.), you won't be disappointed. I order the Spicy Pork and it was delicious! It comes with 2 scoops of rice. The side dishese are kimchi, bean sprouts, and spinach. The server was super nice. She automatically asked if I wanted refills for my sides (YAY, of course I do). She even asked if I wanted more rice so I'm not sure why another Yelper said they charge extra for rice. I even order a Chap Jae to go for my co-worker and she loved it. They also have Mandoo Soup (dumplings in soup) and Meat Jun (my BF would love that). The only down side is that the kitchen is open so you may come out smelling like KBBQ.

  • Basil W.

This is an awesome place with awesome food. It's not a 5 star because I'm always sure there is better out there but I am definitely a fan. This place has a simple menu, fast, and friendly service. I had the SKB which is the combo plate of chicken, kalbi, and bulgogi served over a bed of caramelized onions in a sizzling plate. It comes with 2 scoops of rice, kimchi, spinach and bean sprouts. most items are under $10 per plate.

  • Cara H.

When you walk in this place, it smells like Korean BBQ heaven, aaaah yum! I love the Meat Jun (marinated meat dipped in flour and egg and then fried). I just got take-out and might have tried to eat the foil it came in! I'm from Hawaii and Meat Jun is definitely a Korean staple there, so I was happy to find this place right at the Burbank Town Center! I've tried the Bulgogi and Spicy Pork, too, both bomb! Great Kim Chee, also!

  • Steven V.

I have been wanting to eat here for awhile now since I walk past it all the time. Well, it didnt disappoint at all. The food portions were wonderful and the price is dead on for what you get. The staff was absolutely the best part because they were on their A-game and always took care of us. The food was delicious but I'd like more small side dishes like a traditional Korean BBQ. I don't mind that we dont cook the food, just give us a slightly bigger variety of veggie dishes.

  • Nare O.

This place is ideal for those nights that you are craving KBBQ, but don't feel like dressing up and making the meat yourself. My favorite is the Kalbi (short ribs). They are marinated to perfection and packed with flavor. They are very generous with their portions; both meat and rice. Their meat has great quality and the decor is cheesy with a lot of mirrors. The only downfall is parking, which is annoying for any restaurant in downtown Burbank.

    (4)
  • Mike M.

Delish and priced well! There is hope for Burbank cuisine!

  • Kevin T.

I was headed to a burger place for lack of a better idea, when a spot opened up, right in front and I decided to give it a shot. The sliced beef was fantastic and opened up another option for lunch. I'll definitely go back.

  • Aubre H.

Have been here about a dozen of times. It was always clean and the staff was always courteous and attentive. The menu is consist of about ten items but has all the Korean BBQ staples, the bulgogi and bibimbap being my favorites. Just be aware that they are closed on Sunday.

Whoa... eating at Seoul Korean BBQ is excellent vampire repellant. Food is really good, and our waitress was bubbly, nice and friendly. Never had Korean dumpling soup before so I tried that. Pork, beef and veg-- and probably a dozen heads of garlic-- inside the dumplings. Too heavy. I got full fast. Also ordered the chicken-- extremely tasty. I should have eaten more of that. Maybe the stinking rose effect would have been less pungent. Is that how most Korean bbq food is... a garlic sauna? My gf in food crime ordered bibimbap, which looked great. With a huge sunny-side egg in the center on top of the rice and little clusters of savory veggies. Must have been delicious because she ate it all gone. I heart Judy. Mainly because she's awesome-- lovely, sexy, kind, super-wise beyond years and takes care of everyone around her. Also she has killer taste in music, loves noodles and knows great Asian food places. She's a fierce driver too. L.A. skillz. Just our odd luck, Taste of Burbank was going on and though not as crowded as it would have been if the weather was nice, we had to park at the very top floor of the parking structure. But it was an excellent quick stairway workout. Free parking for more than two hours anywhere around L.A.? Hellyeah. SKB portions are generous and prices are low. So much food left. We wrapped it up so Judy could take it home and either feed her sis and/or doggies and kitty. Sorry for stinking up your car, bebe gurl. Reeked of garlic for the next 24 hours, but it was worth it. :D

In Burbank for a notary class and decided to come here since it's walking distance from the Holiday Inn where my class is at. I usually am more partial to the ones where you cook it yourself, but the visual menu looked good. The service is very quick and the waitresses are nice. I ordered the kalbi without rice since I'm doing the Paleo Diet and the dishes come with banchan: Kim chi, pickled radish, spinach seaweed and salted bean sprouts. They all tasted really good and it wasn't too big or too small. The Kalbi came hot and sizzling, plentiful on a bed of onions. It was all surprisingly good! Will be back the next time I'm in the area.

  • Julio A.

Not too thrilled. I am just use to cooking the meats myself; it was different having it brought already prepared. Had the kalbi and the bulgogi. I actually liked the bulgogi better. The kalbi dish had more sautéed onion than beef.

Simply the best. Im Korean and eat the stuff they serve here all the time but this place blew my mind. Waitress was awesome. Good prices.

Simple, and well worth the price. Located in the beautiful city of Burbank, these couple blocks on San Fernando Road is adorned with shops, some mainstream (Urban Outfitters, Ross) and some very diverse local (mostly restaurants). This restaurant has outside and inside seating, so that's always an option. About three small tables outside, and 10-12 inside. I ordered the spicy pork. A few minutes later, the waitress comes with a sizzling dish topped with cilantro, accompanied by two scoops of rice, kimchi, and bean sprouts. For $7.95, I'd say that's a decent price-to-food ratio. Now, onto the quality. The portions are pretty big. It's enough to fill you, along with the rice and side dishes. The pork was a bit dry, though. Flavorful, but dry. Could have been so good! Argh. What a pity. -1 star The service was excellent, with constant checkups from the waitress. The cooks and other employees were also very nice. Finally nice to see happy employees.

  • Brian H.

Mmmmm traditional Korean food in Burbank...probably the only one though. ANYWAY, the bibimbap was very good and tasted good. The fried mandoos were also very good and filling. My brother and I left full and the price was fair enough in comparison with other Korean restaurants I've been to. Uh yup.

    (4)
  • Brian F.

Quick, tasty, courteous, prompt service, instant refills, no wait for a check. We tried all the meats: pork best, then chicken, then bulgogi. Only wish they had hotpot!

If you're too lazy to drive yourself to K-town for authentic korean bbq, and you find yourself wandering the cobbled streets of Burbank hankering for some inexpensive, korean bbq, well then, I have found the place for you. Be careful not to miss it because it's nestled in a row of many small restaurants along the street and the entrance is unassuming. It looks like it's a take out place, but then you can walk through the back where they have dine-in seating. The menu is limited, which to me means that the dishes they serve are quality. Not a lot of vegetarian options here, so be sure to bring your carnivore friends. The entrees all come with some bachan (?) and kimchi and two scoops of rice. The entrees are generously portioned, and we all ended up in a meat coma afterwards....mmmm. I'm a huge fan of dumplings, so it was only fitting that we ordered the fried mandoo...the skin is very crispy and the filling has tofu, long grain rice, and veggies. Delicious. The Bulgogi is a Bul-No-gi. The meat didn't have a lot of flavor to it and was kind of a weird grayish color. No bueno. However, the kalbi was tender and flavorful. Not the best I've had, but for the price, you can't beat it. A friend of mine had the fish, which was two rather large filets of fish dipped in egg and fried. She remarked that it didn't have a lot of flavor, but she made up for it by using the dumpling sauce on it. Sadly, she didn't share with me :-( so I can't tell you first hand. If i found myself back here, for whatever reason, I'd try the bimbimbap. It looks and sounds interesting. 3.25 stars

Don't let this place's exterior fool you. This place has great food and really great service. Excellent and cheap place to eat!

Great food for cheap! I was visiting LA and was soo hungry I needed something yummy but fast! Check this place out after looking at yelp and I must say its a great place to eat. On top of that it's cheap too! Located in the middle of an outdoor shopping place. Would come back here

I've been here many many times, and it has to be one of the most consistently delicious places ever! So MOM and POP, that MOM and POP are literally there cooking every day!!! I've seen them there every single (347) time I've been! Food comes out sizzling, and it's sooooooooo tasty! Even down to the white rice! And I love that they have white pepper on the tables... Go try it! Food Heaven! Who needs K-Town when you can have this in Burbank!

    (5)
  • Rhoi C.

Yeah, you don't get to cook your own food but who cares when it tastes this good and is made by the nicest people around. Since the much needed expansion, they now have enough seats to accommodate the crowd that occasionally rushes here. Prices are very affordable and the menu is simple and straightforward but satisfactory. No matter what I order, this place delivers on fresh, tasty food that makes your wanting to come back for more. Low on Kimchi, sprouts or spinach? No problem, they'll refill your sides for free.

    (5)
  • Cherie T.

cheap price with decent size portion. However the flavor is just okay. I've had better korean food. Read Carese L. for the SKB Special which includes bulgogi and kalbi, two scoops of rice, a little bit of kimchi, bean sprouts, and spinach. I ordered the Jap Chae which also came w/ rice, kimchi, bean sprouts and spinach. For $7 they do give you a good amount, but i thought overall it was just okay. nothing special. When you walk in to this place, don't assume that it's a small place w/ only two chairs in the front, there's another area for dining in the back. This is sorta like a fast food place, so it's good for business people around the neighborhood if you want something quick to eat and go.

  • Elaine F.

Ordered the Spicy Pork which was delicious and served sizzling hot over a bed of white onions--YUM. Came here super hungry but didn't even finish so I had enough for leftovers the next day. Knocking off one star since the location is right on San Fernando and parking can be a drag.

  • Khanh N.

Looking at the restaurant's store front on Yelp, I would have never figured it to be behind the Burbank Mall boardwalk area. It is somewhat of a hole in the wall type restaurant. The food is excellent. My cousin and I order bulgogi and spicy pork, both came out well. The only complaint, which isn't really much of a complaint is the ventilation. Everything was par. Nothing quite exceptional. Definitely an everyday eats place.

  • Loren J.

Sad to say there was nothing memorable or tasty about this place. I live near Garden Grove and I have access to many truly authentic Korean BBQ places. This place doesn't make the grade. I can appreciate that the owners are "dumbing down" the food to make it accessible for a lot of non Asian eaters. However, the dishes are bland and there's no depth to the flavors.

    (2)
  • Steven O.

Use more salt! Our soups were seriously bland.

    (2)
  • Jane C.

If you're craving Korean food, this is the closest place in Burbank without driving over the hill to get to K-town. Food was OK but nothing memorable. Also during lunch time, the dine in service is super slow so call your order ahead of time if you have a short lunch

    (3)
  • Alix B.

Don't let the exterior fool you, this place serves good Korean BBQ. The smell of the smoke coming from the kitchen alone is enough to entice you to stay a while. Our group ordered the Bulgogi, Spicy Pork and the SKB Special. We were all very happy with our dishes, which came out quite quickly and with plenty of meat for each one. If you're a lover of white rice like I am, you'll want to order extra rice, but we could have gotten away with sharing two entrees instead of three. Our only gripe was having to wait almost ten minutes before we could order, but our waitress apologized for the wait which was understandable given the fact that there were only two servers and it was a Saturday night. We'd still come back here though for a quick, cheap fix! Not the best Korean BBQ I've ever tasted (that was in Flushing, NY), but given the inexpensive price and how quickly everything came out, it does the job.

  • Tiana G.

Went here for some dinner and was so impressed! It may look like not much from the outside but it was incredible! The service was impeccable. The girl helping us was super sweet and attentive. I ordered the chicken and my boy got the bulgogi and both were deliciously appetizing. Bursting with so much flavor and they both came out sizzling! I expected the prices to be outrageous but for all that food, it wasn't all that bad. Will definitely be back whenever I'm in that area!

Okay my last "update" review of this place. This threw a wrench in our Friday nite plans AND i was completely grossed out. Got there at 8pm, waitress didn't come to take our order until 10-15 whole mins of sitting there waiting and watching as she went to help everyone else. Finally she came to us, we ordered and i tried to confirm with her that we get unlimited kim chi correct? She said since me and bf were sharing a big combo plate then no, only if we each get our own plate then yes. I said to her my bf doesn't eat kim chi at all, its just me so 1 order should come with unlimited kim chi. She said no with a butt looking face. Her face had that bitch look that u just wanted to slap right off. So i said whatever and let it go. Our meal didn't come out until 845. 30-35 mins later! for 1 plate of food? This place only has 8 dishes on the menu! 4 of which were meat plates that are thier biggest sellers. So you would think they'd always be having meat on the grill constantly. Anyway, during our wait, we were debating on just getting up and walking out, as we were about to do it, our food had came. While eating, i glance to the kitchen on my left and saw them stack their pre-made plate of ban chan on racks.......that they put on the dirty kitchen floor!! With the last plate on the last rack being 1 inch from the floor. I watched as all the busy kitchen workers scuffled back and forth (with their dirty shoes inches away from someones plate) kicking dirt and who knows what else as their running by. This is utterly filthy!! And should be a violation of some sort of health code. I am no longer coming back here EVER again. Please be on the look out for this, if anyone sees this, please either say something to them or avoid coming back, it is just a filthy way to serve food. I know there are worse that happen in restaurants that i don't see. But that's just what it is, i don't see it. Once i do, it kills it all.

Definitely not going back. I don't even know how this restaurant has a 4 star review. Limited menu choices. Bugs in the restaurant. A freaking fast food restaurant charges an arm and a leg. Small portion of sides and the meal only comes with two spoonful of rice. If you ask for more rice, it's $1 per additional spoon! I had four spoons of rice, spent $20 on a lunch meal, and I was still not full.. this is absolutely a joke!

  • Nicole B.

I love this place. Very casual, in fact there's nothing much to look at. I usually end up here, when I am in town. It's really hard to try other restaurants when I am here, especially when I am craving Korean. Kalbi, of course is one thing that you must order here. Big portions, enough to have leftovers, unless you can't put your fork down. Which is usually the case. I like the mandoo, korean dumplings as well. I never have to wait long for my food, and they are usually pretty friendly. Love this place!

    (4)
  • Andrew L.

The taste is moderate. It's definitely not the best Korean food out there. (try Cerritos or K-Town) I will say that their menu is aggressively priced... so if you want a cheap, fast, KBBQ meal, this is your place. I did like the service here though. It was excellent for a small restaurant.

  • Corinne S.

Summary: AWESOME! This is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant; of course it's going to be awesome in some way. And this place doesn't disappoint. Don't let the skinny entrance fool you - there's plenty of seating inside and in the back, so bring your friends along. Or come alone (more food for you!) Everything is tasty - I had the Fish Jun, and it definitely deserved 5 stars. Fish tasted great, breading was great, kimchi (which I usually avoid) was really good...everything was good. And the service was on top of things. Not only are they checking from afar to see if you're okay, it's like they're psychic - they'll come just when you need drinks refilled, need extra napkins because you were a dork, or need your check to leave. My one complaint: They're not open late, late, late! Come on, guys - please change your hours! :) Highly recommend. Very, very highly recommend.

If these short ribs don't make you want to stay here and sleep in the bathroom nightly just so you can eat more of them, then I'll come over to your house and perform the taste-bud replacement operation on you myself. It's tough to not sound like I'm spewing hyperbole here, so try to understand; I'm not blowing smoke up yer kiester. This place rules! Korean BBQ comes in a lot of guises. There's the fancy-schmancy places with the blue LED lighting, overpriced food and retro-hip vinyl booths with the barbeque at the table. There is the mall-diner kinda place with the lukewarm food and the dry meats. And then there is this magical place. Think of Seoul Korean BBQ (what an unimaginative name- I'd call it "Chariot of the Gods" or something) as one of those full-authentic street places in Korea. It's the perfect blend of casualness and incredible food. This isn't some high-falutin' restaurant with a 5-page menu. They serve five - exactly five - meat dishes. They also serve 5 more vegetarian/fish/other dishes, including "BiBimBap" which sounds likea racial slur from "Gran Torino." These guys have been wise to keep the menu basic. It works for In-N-Out, why not Korean BBQ? Easily the best dish is the famous Kalbi short ribs. They fall off the bone and are marinated in a garlicky, sweet concoction that will leave your taste buds feeling like they spent the night with Marilyn Monroe in her prime years. They're simply fantastic. The Bulgogi, marinated rib-eye, is excellent but is less sweet and is a bit less interestingl than the short ribs. It's a different flavor that, while still good, didn't blow me away. The BiBimBap is interesting with it's amalgamation of a fried egg on top of various pickled Korean vegetables. One tip is that the veggies are all served cold, even though they are cooked. Only the egg is warm. Kinda strange if you're not used to it. Try the fried dumplings! so good! A crispy little envelope of love containing vegetables and tofu, fried to perfection into 20 bite-sized little morsels of goodness. The sauce they come with is great. It's the perfect appetizer. The staff is great; cheerful, full of information, upbeat, helpful. Look, bottom line is, these are the best Korean short ribs anywhere and that's no hype. This place is unfairly some 70 miles from where I live. With the price of gas, I'm going to go broke eating here once a week now... One word: Amazing.

i'm pretty much over writing the standard 3-star review, so i'll cut to the chase. stay away from the beef. the bulgogi is dry and flavorless. the short ribs aren't much better. order the spicy pork or the chicken. that stuff is passable. there's maybe ten items on the menu, and they don't serve much in terms of side dishes (banchan). just some pickled cabbage, spinach, and bean sprouts. but at least they serve refills of what little banchan is offered. this is a decent spot if you're desperate for korean in burbank. there isn't much competition, as finding a korean restaurant in the area is harder than a needle in the haystack. if you don't feel like driving all the way to k-town, kim's kitchen on colorado blvd in glendale is your best bet....

Delicious Korean meats, at very reasonable prices. You choose the meat combination (bulgolgi, short rib, chicken, a combination of all of those), it comes with rice, sprouts, spinach, and kimchi. Nice chill spot in Downtown Burbank.

My wife and I both got very ill after eating here. We plan on contacting the city health department after this weekend about our experience. Both of us got the Kalbi, Chicken, and Bulgogi combo on March 16. Won't ever go back!

The food here is great!!!! The menu is a bit limited, but they are very accommodating and there are vegetarian options! Parking is not an issue and the place was clean.

This place rocks. Amazing prices, great food, fantastic service. What more would you want? I went there for the first time a little over a week ago, I've been back twice already. God it is so good! Thanks for bringing great Korean food to Burbank.

I love Korean food. Glad one was opened in Burbank. The food is very good here and friendly service. Like the decor as well, easy on the eyes. Another go place.

I haven't been back to this place in a while but I've always been a fan of their food. From the outside, doesn't look too appetizing to eat in, but man you'd be sooo wrong! Although I noticed from other yelpers, the dining area has expanded and has a different entrance now, a definite plus, plus, plus! Everything on the menu is delicious! Bibimbap, spicy pork, bulgogi are my usual orders, and each time it hits the spot! The meat comes on a sizzling plate, and you can ask for extra rice free of charge! The service is fast, I think it's because it gets packed and they want their turn over to be quick. But they don't give you the impression that they want you out right away, that's just my opinion. Make sure you're not on a lunch break or a lunch date, coz you definitely will reak of Korean BBQ after eating here.....

Good food, great service. Very friendly staff with quick service. Their Bulgogi and Kalbi were quite good. I was nicely surprised when they refilled the kimchi and side orders. Very nice sticky rice as well. Definitely would recommend and return.

I go to Burbank a lot, but this place has never crossed my mind or even think to look twice when I would walk by it... until my sister and I wanted to go out to lunch. So I yelped the Burbank area for good cheap eats and this one was one of the choices. My sister and I ended up choosing this place. The place is pretty much a hole in the wall, but the servers were nice and fast, the price was a steal, and the food was amazing. There aren't many choices, but I kind of like that because you don't have to keep going back and forth on what you want to get. My sister ordered the Bibimbap and I ordered the Bulgogi. We both were super full and satisfied. I've yet to come back, but I would definitely come again.

I haven't lived near a good Korean restaurant since my days in Hawaii, so for me, discovering this place evoked a feeling not unlike the feeling of unexpectedly running into an old friend who you haven't seen in years, and then realizing that that friend has become really attractive since you saw her last, and then you manage to get her number and make plans to hang out later. *high-five* That might be over-stating things a bit, but all the same, I think I've found my new favorite lunch spot. The friendly, welcoming staff made me feel right at home, and the people preparing the food actually seemed to be enjoying themselves, which is always a good sign. Despite being kind of a hole-in-the-wall, I loved the ambience--the bamboo outside cast delicate shadows through the window, and the music was unobtrusive and oddly appropriate (jazz standards every time I've been there), not to mention the fact that everything was very clean. Meat Jun is generally my yardstick for measuring a new Korean restaurant (particularly since many restaurants in California don't seem to offer it at all), and Seoul Korean BBQ's meat jun was fantastic. I only wish they offered Bi Bim Kook Soo, but I'm not complaining: their relatively small menu reads like a greatest hits album--the Jock Jams of Korean cuisine. Also, as a "side" note (pun intended), the kimchi is homemade and way better than anything I can find at the store. If fresh kimchi is the type of thing that floats your proverbial boat, ask for an extra helping. High quality food + generous portions = great value. Although this value is usually offset by the fact that I feel compelled to leave a large tip.

Came here with some friends to celebrate my birthday and GOD, first impressions are everything, seriously. The restaurant is pint sized, just big enough to sit about 20 people perhaps? When you walk in the kitchen is on your left and everyone greets you in Korean, amps up the experience, really. Im a big fan of Asian cuisine and this was my first time trying Korean (I still cant believe it Lol), the service was first class, the food comes right out too. We ordered Bulgogi and Spicy pork, they come out searing in the plate and everything is packed with flavor, the side dishes are just enough too - rice, bean sprouts and kimchee, I believe. It was more than enough for three people and then some more. I see some people complaining about the servings of rice, thats because they probably dont know how to distribute the bites evenly? Lol. If you arent full, there is a Boba Loca a block before, you can go grab dessert there. Anyhoot, ill definitely come back for more!!

Normally I'm not a big fan of Korean BBQ, but I do like the dishes they serve here. They are quite delectable especially the chicken, pork and beef combo plate which serves two very nicely. Great service with a smile! Always a courteous waiting and cooking staff. The only thing I don't like is walking out of here smelling like Korean BBQ as I walk through Burbank. Better ventilation or division between the kitchen and dining area would help that I think.

I went here today at around 11.30ish. Like I expected, the place would not be crowded. It's located in Burbank downtown, for those of you who haven't been to Burbank downtown, the parking on the street could be challenging, it's for 90 mins only mon-fri. But they do have parking garage for public for free. So lucky me , I found a street parking, just walked to this place right away. The waitress greeted me nicely and professionaly, I got the good feeling right away. I ordered bulgogi and had water. I am happy with the clean plastic glass they used for the water, usually when I come to any restaurant, the plastic glass is always kinda scratchy , like have been used for forever. The food came out, came with 2 cups of white rice, greensprouts, green veggie, and kimchi, and the bulgogi over the sizzling plate. Yummy! The food itself was pretty good, it's not the best tho, but definitely worth the price for $9! The restaurant was very clean as well! Extra Point! The waitress was also professional, I am so happy and satisfied with the service and the food, quick to serve, nice service, good food, clean place, good price, what else you need?!

My favorite Korean restaurant in the whole world and it's not even in Koreatown! For less than $10 you can pick combinations of bulgogi, chicken, spicy pork, kalbi, or bibimbap. Yes, the menu is very simple but they give you such large portions and you get very full! It's so good that I have them cater my parties from time to time. They also don't charge extra if you ask for an extra portion of kimchee, spinach, etc. :) The fried mandoo is my husband's favorite and the jap chae is a must when my parents tag along... I think i've tried everything on the menu except the fish... Not sure if it's good... My favorite is the combination where you can get bulgogi, kalbi, and spicy pork all in one dish :) OMG, talking like this makes me crave it more and more! I think my husband and i come here at least once a month and i can tell the owners know we're quite the regular customer.

I work in Burbank and lunchtime can be dreary. Seoul Korean BBQ offers some relief. I get vegetarian bibimbap, not mind blowing, but tasty and fresh. The people who work there are friendly and remember my order. One time I came when they were closing and they stayed open longer to pack me an order to go. So nice! I also like that they have a lot of plants in the dining area.

My girlfriend suggested this place one night, since we didn't have time to go down to Little Tokyo for a bowl of ramen at Daikokuya. ): At first I was kinda sad that we weren't gonna get ramen, but I hadn't eaten all day, so I wasn't about to say no to some Krn BBQ :D Anyway, the place is small and the service was surprisingly attentive! Their menus are short and simple, and well priced. I ordered the SKB special, because I was being indecisive as hell as a result of starvation. It has a little bit of everything they have on their menu and they pile it on when it comes sizzling to your table. It smells really good :9 The only downside was the amount of rice, but they were so nice! They refilled my rice and my girlfriend's kimchi. At first I didn't think it would fill me up, but I was SO full afterwards! I can't wait to come back :D

They are great! Real simple menu and Korean bbq that hits the spot. I say they are great mostly because they are super friendly too. The staff made sure that the customers are taken care of through and through. Feels like home, you can probably walk-in in your pajamas.

  • Dave L.

Good for a quick Korean bite. It's sort of a diner version of Korean food, not a full fledged Korean restaurant but a limited menu of about ten different dishes like kalbi, bulgogi, fried mandoo, bibimbab, etc. Each dish is a separate entree and comes with rice, vegetables, kimchee (refillable) and miso soup (not exactly Korean but oh well). The waitresses are young Korean girls, very friendly and fast, they actually ran from tables to the kitchen. I think all the dishes were under $10. I would prefer more choice of dishes but this'll do in a pinch.

  • Mimi L.

Love, love, LOVE!!! They only make about 5 things and they're all delicious! The bulgogi and chicken are magically flavorful. Service is fast and friendly. It's just a small place on the blvd. in downtown burbank so parking is not the easiest but it's not the worst either. This place is definitely worth the drive around the block...soooo good!

This is the place for great Korean Food with not much of food. If you've ever been to any Korean restaurant, you will know how expensive Korean BBQs are. ($10+) This place will satisfy your Korean BBQ needs with less than $9 Combination dish and Kalbi (short ribs) are $7.95 plus tax. Other BBQ dish (chicken, spicy pork, bulgogi) are $6.95 plus tax. They also offer other Korean dish such as Dumpling soup and Jap-che. (also $6.95 plus tax) You will be surprised with the amount of food you get with such low price. You will get your BBQs on HOT plate with Rice, kimchi, and two other kinds of side dish on the other dish. This is Family owned and family has been there for while now. You will be seated and nicely served. if you look from outside, you wont see all the tables, but there are more tables then you might see from outside. Value = 10 out of 10 Service = 10 out of 10 Taste = 10 out of 10

I got the chicken #3 special -I really liked the chicken coming out on a sizzling platter, there was so much meat I couldn't finish it, and for the price it was great. I was not a fan of the side dishes - I don't like Kim Chi very much neither do I like cold bean sprouts or spinach. The menu is very simple, the service was good and the place is pretty small but for the money its decent.

Went here at the recommendation of a former coworker. I would say that from the time we got there to the time we got food on our table it was upwards of 40 to 45 minutes. I was told this was highly unusual, and my coworker usually is in an out in under 30 minutes. The food that was brought to us, however, made up for everything. The Kalbi shortribs were PHENOMENAL. And the Spicy Pork was excellent as well. Large portions. Cheap price. I will definitely come back here. I really wanted to give it five stars, but that initial wait was pretty bad. Also, if you are allergic to onions, be warned that most of the main dishes are cooked on a bed of them. but me? I love onions. mmmmmm....

We've been looking for a Korean BBQ place nearby and by chance, found this restaurant on Yelp this weekend. It is a tiny little place in downtown Burbank but the friendly service and delicious food more than make up for the location (always busy and crowded). The Bulgogi and Spicy Pork sizzling plates were delicious -- the portions were so huge that we were able to get another meal out of the leftovers. We're definitely going back very soon!

Love this place. Food is good, service is great. I love their simple menu and fast service. This is the only Korean BBQ place I go to that doesn't have a grill in the table. Simply awesome. And it's cheap too! Perfect Lunch place as long as you don't mind smelling like Korean BBQ for the rest of the day...if not, you might want to bring spray on Fabreeze with you.

What is the one popular online game that revolve around the idea on how to be a good restaurant entrepreneur? O yeah.. it's called Diner Dash.. If you guessed it correctly and often visit this restaurant, can you do me a favor? Please refer that game to the young waitress who wait for this restaurant. Perhaps, by playing that game, she will understand the concept of what kind of things a waitress should do in order to keep the client coming back to the restaurant. If she have any reasoning skills, she could at least try a bit of multi tasking such as offering glass of water, serving some small dishes (banchan), or taking an order, while waiting for the food is ready for the previous customer. Instead, she made every other customers wait while fully serving the one customer table in the back (she take orders for them, bring drinks for them, wait for the food they order to finish cooked for them, and bring the food for them). In the mean time, she completely ignores all the other tables (3 tables to be exact). No taking orders, no offering them water to drink, no service period except saying "one second, one second, one second.." While keep coming back and forth serving that one table. I count that she went past our table at least 8 times.. and completely ignored us. After 30 minutes of completely being ignored, I completely did not even care how good the food was going to be. So, we all stand up, left, and drive to small Korean district in Rowland Heights to eat good food with the same amount of price. The only different there, we actually get to be treated like a customer, instead of wall decorations. In the world of Diner Dash, that waitress would already got a Game Over result. So, Seoul Korean BBQ, if you actually read this review, please do consider teaching your waitress (Read: your highschool daughter) a little bit of skill called "How to treat your customer right."

The SKB special is my favorite - and is so good I haven't been willing to venture out and try any of their other offerings. Prices are very reasonable as well. Seating can become an issue during lunch hour, but otherwise it's usually easy to get in, get your food, and get out without a problem. Also, the staff are usually pleasant and always thank you for coming to visit.

I'm a regular here now but recently got the "fish jun" without seeing the menu simply based off the Yelp reviews. It was an egg battered filet of fish and wasn't really for me. I still like their kalbi the best but still usually get the bimbimbap.

I work in Burbank and was craving Korean BBQ. Searched for restaurants near my area and this came up so I decided to try it. WOW! The food is good!!! I got a number one and it came with spare ribs, chicken, and beef. Amazing food, if you are a fan of Korean BBQ then it is a must. I suggest ordering it to go because the restaurant is not very cozy.

  • Charlie C.

I had this on the run, to the airport, so I inhaled a bit more than tasted. But for what little did pass over my taste buds, it wasn't too bad. And the value was great. They cook everything on a grill there, and it's properly seasoned/marinated. I'm going to have to try it again, and chew this time. The service for the three minutes I stayed there (afraid that I was going to miss my flight) was friendly. Also a plus is that both of their daughters are as hot as Korean soon tofu (none of which are not on the menu, unfortunately).

Given the high ratings this place received I am thinking I might have just caught them on a bad day, but I honestly don't think I could ever muster up the courage to go back and give it a second try. I was so excited to find a korean bbq place near my office as I am such a fan, but I couldn't have been more disappointed. The portion size was enormous, but thank goodness because I found myself picking through all the grizzle to find one or two edible pieces of beef on the whole plate. The rest ended up in the trash. The flavoring was actually really good but man was the meat disgusting. What a huge disappointment. I guess I will just have to get in my car if I want decent Korean for lunch.

  • Tracy E.

I'm giving this place 3 stars, mainly because I'm not a huge fan of Korean BBQ to begin with. However, my hubby is a fan of Korean BBQ and says he would give this place 4 stars. The choices are good, the prices are okay. It's in a hole in the wall in Downtown Burbank that's actually much bigger than it looks because it has a hidden dining room. You should check it out if you're in the mood for Korean food and you don't want to make the drive to Koreatown.

    (3)
  • Paolo L.

The only good I can say about this place is that the service was exceptional. Otherwise, the kalbi was lacking flavor and has absolutely no wow factor. It was a good thing they didn't charge us for extra rice either because they give you golf ball sized amounts. If I wasn't trying to watch my rice intake, I would've been pissed. you also get nothing extra with your main dish. at other places, i get kimchi, salad, soup, etc. i really don't get where the good ratings come from. people need to take a trip down to k-town in los angeles and have some food at a place that has to compete with other kbbq joints around the corner. definitely will not go back to give it another shot.

We love this little family run hole in the wall. The food and portions are wonderful and tasty. The family staff are very friendly. The only downside is they close early and do not open on Sunday. Get the #1 SKB Special. Three types of meat barbecued to perfection. Yum!

    (4)
  • Ronnie V.

Best "hole in the wall" Korean joint in all of L.A.! The Fish Jun is top-notch. The chicken and beef dishes are very good. I like the simplicity of the menu: about 8-10 choices only (I think). Get the SKB Special if you're not sure what to order. They are closed on Sundays...boo.

This was a Yelp find for me. There were so many restaurants teasing my empty stomach on my walk to find this place. But I'm glad I resisted and held out for this little eatery. I ordered the bibimbap, and it was plenty to eat. It came with a side of kimchi and a miso soup (is this normal for Korean establishments? this was a first for me..), and it was delicious. The egg on top was fried to PERFECTION. I don't think I've had a more perfectly cooked overeasy egg. I'm kind of obsessed with eggs and their runny yolks, don't be alarmed...I used plenty of the special sauce and filled my empty stomach to its content. Service was great, and it was definitely a mom and pop kind of place. I mean the dishes were drying on a dish rack! Menu was small, but sometimes that's a good thing :)

  • Scott G.

We go here regularly for lunch and it's never too crowded to sit down immediately. That's a very important thing when you only have an hour for lunch! The food is delish and the prices are good. We usually get the SKB special which is Bulgogi, Chicken and Ribs. Sometimes the ribs are awesome, and sometimes their not. I think sometimes they use different meat that's not as good as other times. Regardless, its enough to get you full and it's like 7.50 which is not that bad at all. If you live around Burbank you'll probably have to travel to Koreatown to find better Korean Food.

    (4)
  • Debra B.

Based on the food alone, I gave this place 3 stars. I would give it a deuce, deuce-an-a-half if I was feeling meaner, but the food was tasty enough so that keeps me content. The MAJOR PROBLEM with this place that makes it a low score is the freakin' smoke up in the dining room. My fiance and I almost had to leave upon entering, but me twisting his arm in my eager attempts to try the closest kbbq place in town made him stay. Somehow the staff can deal with swimming through heavy drafts of particulates in the air, but I feel like they would have way more patronage if they took care of the problem. Another perk was the adorable waitress we had. She was so cute, it made the smoke dealable. The limited menu can be both a disappointment as well as a blessing since you can choose just a few things. We ended up with the combination platter and an order of the mandoo to start. The mandoo arrived piping hot and the cabbage side dish and dipping sauce was delish. The dinner platter was enough for two people to share with the app and was it delicious! The only thing that could make this place better is if they had some sesame oil on the table and taking the spice in the kimchi down a notch. Prob a better idea for take out :) Great value.

I really like this place. I'd never been to Korean BBQ before, until some friends from work took me to Seoul Korean BBQ. Its a little hole in the wall on San Fernando, but its really good!!! I've had a couple of things on the menu, and I've tried my friend's food too, sneaking bites while they drool over the waitress (Hikaru & R.C.!). Its all really yummy. They serve huge portions, and the food comes out sizzling hot! Nice people run the place, and the prices are outstanding!

Super tasty!! I have had everything on thier menu.Everything is delicious! the service is great (very cute waitress A+) they have a small dining room, but we have never had to wait for seating. They do close after the lunch rush, I do believe it's from 2:30-5:00....

When I heard there was a little Korean BBQ restaurant in Burbank that was suppose to be good, I got curious. I live in Burbank and we do not have very many good restaurants. I love Korean BBQ and some of my favorite restaurants are in K-Town. I checked Seoul Korean BBQ and really like it. You can't beat the price and it is great to be able to Korean BBQ take out. I have had the Chicken, Bulgogi, Spicy Pork, Fried Mandoo and Bibimbap. They were all superb! Really love the Spicy Pork, the marinade is just fabulous! The service is really friendly with lots of smiles! This little restaurant is a diamond in the rough. I will definitely be a return customer.

If you are looking for a quick KBBQ fix Seoul KBBQ is the place to go. Their kalbi and spicy chicken is good!! Their plates range around 10-15bux and with your entree you get some rice, kim chee, and small greens mix of spinach and sprouts. The place seems small as you walk in but there is a dining area (which is also small) so if you are interested in a big party, forget it.

    (3)
  • Carl B.

Great little spot! The Kalbi and the Spicy pork are excellent. Prices are really fair, had the mandoo dumpling plate last time $5.95 counted 17 dumplings on it. Staff is very attentive and friendly and they'll bring as much of the sides as you want. They're in the process of enlarging the dining so seating wont be an issue much longer. Hey youre close to a couple of frozen yogurt placwes for dessert.

My wife and I raced in to Seoul Korean BBQ at the last minute to get a fix of Jap-Chae and Bibimbap and we weren't disappointed! We found this little place to be both clean and quaint for a little mom and pop operation. The service was amiable and our food order was turned around quickly. Great food, great prices, and a great find in Burbank!

The servers are quite nice and the food is pretty delicious. Its not koreatown, but it is worth it. The side dishes including kimchi, beansprouts, and spinach are unlimited, which is a huge plus. You can't go wrong with the kalbi 10.95 and bulgogi 7.95. What makes it better is that softdrinks are not overpriced. Overall pretty cheap and fills up the tummy. Definitely a place that I will go to time and time again.

Food is a 5, atmospher is a 4 and the service is a 4. But the fooooooooood is the best! Therefore, I keep going back. Portions are good, hot sauce with the combo plate is the best. You cant go wrong. I just wish that it didnt take 30 min to get my food.

  • Mike D.

This place may not be the most authentic Korean bbq place but it is still one of my favorites. It's a small family owned place which is kinda misleading from the outside with regards to space but once you go in there are more seating in the back. I always come back to this place since I find the food really tasty, good portions and very affordable as well. I tried the kalbi, bulgogi, and spicy pork and its always cooked right. The bbq is served in sizzling plates and comes with rice, bean sprouts and kimchi flavored sliced cucumbers (sorry, I don't know what its called). Anyway, if you're looking for affordable, tasty Korean bbq without the frills, then this is the place to go.

  • K E.

Nothing like a full-fledged Korean BBQ experience, but it's good and fairly inexpensive. A really good option for a satisfying and affordable lunch. (Or dinner.) Contrary to what someone else wrote, I never get charged for extra rice. The standard serving is quite adequate, by the way. The meat portions are also fairly generous. Great value.

I have eaten here about 5 times on various trips to Burbank. I love the place. The food is above average, I won't say it knocks your socks off but it is good. The waitstaff are all really nice, the place is tiny but clean. The amount of food you get for the money is great and it comes fairly quickly. Good place to eat. The other thing that really endeared me to the place was I was in there eating once and a homeless person came in. They spooned up some rice and vegetables and just handed it over to the person. No money, no looking down their nose, just here ya go, enjoy! They may have known the person I couldn't tell if they did or not but those ladies gave food to someone in need and treated them with respect. That is pretty cool after all the crap you hear about how LA is cold and uncaring. Not that I find it that way. In summation, good food, great pricing, clean, friendly. What else do you want?

I was in town and wanted Korean BBQ. There are a lot of places in k-town, but it was way too far with the traffic. I found this place on yelp and it looked like it was worth a shot. I looked in and it was a hole in the wall. This made me think that it has to be good because hole in the walls are usually the best. At first, I thought it was more a to go place. Then the waitress asked me if I wanted to sit inside because it was cooler. It felt like 90 degrees, which I think was warmer than it was outside. Then she took me to the back where it was much cooler. So if you go here, make sure you sit in the back. I get the menu and it's very simple. I ordered the spicy pork. Within a few minutes, my food was here. It was a huge pile of food! I went through it pretty quickly. Overall, the food was pretty good, but not the best I've had. The service was very friendly and quick. It's worth trying if you're stuck in Burbank and don't want to drive to K-town.

It is a hole in the wall place in downtown Burbank. It is a very casual dining place with good service. The food is good food for the price. Their kalbi and bibimbab are simply delicious.

We've been going to various places in Burbank during lunch break, and we particularly like this little mom & pop restaurant on San Fernando Road called Seoul Korean BBQ. There's just 10 choices on the menu, but my favorite is #2. It's called Kalbi, which is beef short rib bbq and served with rice, bean sprouts, spinach and kimchi. I also like #4, called Bulgogi, which is thin-sliced beef rib-eye steak served with rice and vegetables too. The other choices I've tried were #3 (Chicken Kalbi), #5 (Spicy Pork) & #6 (Fish Jun), which is egg battered fried fresh cod. Each of these choices are priced at less than $10 and the food is really good, usually served by the owner's charming daughters, which seems like dining with family and friendly atmosphere. You could also call for take-out order (818-559-5578), but you'll have to pick it up because they don't deliver.

Perhaps if you are not an experienced Korean BBQ fan and you aren't one who really savors fresh vegetables and the like, you would like this place but to this palate, I'd call this basic Korean BBQ fast food that's adequate. I mean I'm used to a recyclable bowl (these guys use styrofoam) loaded with broccoli and at least 5 other vegies not including the glass noodles or rice. But I don't expect anything that fresh and wholesome and environmentally aware and good in southern California. Sorry but you gotta go to northern California to get that. This place is good enough for this tiny little area in Burbank, though, if you're hungry and you don't have time or ability to travel much more than a block or 2 for a quick bite. Somebody call me when ALL of the Korean BBQ places begin to get it that yes, they too need to enter the 21st century by helping us repair the planet and America's health: getting rid of crap like styrofoam containers and replacing them with paper-based recyclable containers and at least OFFERING brown rice instead of white rice would be a super start AND given the clientele that frequents Korean BBQs that are not in 'Koreatown', these 2 features would probably draw more customers.

Tried this place out today. We had the #2 and #5 on the menu. Hubby said the people were friendly when he picked up the food. The food was good and the prices reasonable. Will definitely go back again when we crave K-food in the valley.

Tasty food. Large Portions. I can eat half for lunch when I'm there and eat the other half the next day and feel full on both days. Very good service, they're very friendly.

Good and very reasonably priced. I recently went here for the first time and found the beef dishes were fresh and delicious. They recently expanded to a sit-down format, and the new area is nicely decorated. The restaurant has good service and portions were generous, too.

Good place for lunch. The service is great. I usually order the spicy pork and its pretty good. The side dishes are kind of plain. Their selection is very limited, there are probably only 8 dishes you can order from. If you work near the mall this is a good place for a quick Korean food fix.

This place is one of my fav places in burbank for take-out or post-long-work-day dinner... The food is above average Korean BBQ and while the menu is very limited (10 dishes in all) it's all good. Now I am not saying this replaces a trip to K-town for some serious bbq, but given the area, this is probably your best bet for some good lunch food at super reasonable (under $10 a person) prices. The Kimchee tastes home made, you always get a little pan chan (spinach/sprouts/carrots/pickles) and even the mandoo are tasty (if a bit greasy.) My favorite thing to do is to get a bbq chicken dish and the jap chae (noodles) to split as both are good and hte portions tend to be LARGE, esp towards the end of the day. If I am flying solo I will order the BIBIMBAP which comes with all of the pan chan options plus a nice side of rice and soup and a fried egg. Overall I think this is one of the best quick hole-in-the-wall places in all of burbank and I cant recommend it enough for a quick lunch or take out. Just dont expect ambience if you do eat in, and dont expect the same experience as K-Town. If you are hungry in burbank, go there now.

Been here a couple of times for take-out food on my lunch break so I've never been in the seating area in the back. It's has a very unassuming store front so I never noticed it until I was walking down the street trying to figure out where that awesome smell was coming from. I always order the bulgogi which is my favorite. It comes with rice and all the usual side dishes. So good and cheap! I think it was only about $8 and the portion was so big I only could eat 1/2 for lunch and ate the other 1/2 for dinner. The people there are really nice and the food comes out quickly. First time I went, it was last minute so I didn't order before hand, but I was out in about 15minutes and it was freshly cooked. I'd highly suggest going here if you want good Korean food in the Burbank area.

Fast, inexpensive, and great Korean BBQ. This is a Korean BBQ hidden gem in Burbank. The place looks really tiny when you first walk in, but they actually have a moderate size dining area towards the back. Good size food portions, probably enough for two to share or leftovers for lunch the next day. So far, I love their Spicy Pork and the Kalbi. The menu is simple, but has all of the usual favorites. Next time, I would probably order for pick up. The street parking there is not ideal, and is crowded come lunch time.

A bit of a disappointment, but not horrible. We had trouble waving down our waitress to get served, and the third plate took longer than the first two to arrive (enough that we had to ask somebody to check on it). For a lunch time meal, it took a bit longer than we'd have liked. Food wise, meh. Maybe I'm spoiled going to Manna in K-town, but the food was ok. I had the #1; the chicken was good (good flavor), the ribs had great flavor, but SO full of fat. The actual amount of ribs eaten vs how much was on the serving platter was very imbalanced due to all the fat. Sad! The bulgogi was dry and really lacking flavor. I love bulgogi, so I was bummed that it wasn't up to par with what I had expected, having read the reviews here first. All in all, it was ok, but I don't know if I'd bother going back.

Looks like a little hole in the wall, and in fact it is. But it's the best little hole in the wall on the San Fernando strip. The menu is small but I always order my usual dishes: the chicken dish and bibimbap. I think what won me over was the rice! Exactly how I like it - moist and sticky (insert sexual joke here) The kimchee is good. The prices and portions are great. Those 2 aforementioned dishes provided me with enough food for 4 meals.

I really like the bulgogi. The chicken is good too. I usually eat half and save the rest for later. Bring a breath mint though...oh wait, they give you gum too! Perfect. Only negative is the parking.

I know nothing about Korean food other than that I like kimchi. So, I can't really compare this place with other Korean food I've had. However, I do know what I like, and I like this place. It's small with a limited menu, but I loved the food and the service was very friendly. Being a vegetarian, I ordered the Fried Mandoo which are Korean dumplings filled with tofu and veggies. It was only $5.95 and sodas are only $1.25 with free refills. There are very few sit down restaurants in town where you can get a delicious lunch for under $8. I asked for some kimchi on the side (this is one of the few dishes that kimchi isn't automatically served with), and it really gave the right amount of kick to the dumplings. My friends had the Bulgogi and the Fish Jun and both enjoyed them. I definitely plan on going back.

I really enjoyed this place. The menu is simple and the workers friendly and welcoming. The interior matches the menu selection - simple and functional. So far I have only had the Kalbi which is always tender and tasty and a favorite of my wife's. The portions are pretty big although at $10 the cost might be a bit more than one is used to paying for lunch but not for dinner. My experiences with Korean food are limited to Korean dishes served by non-Korean restaurants. So far this was far above what I get when I order short ribs. Parking might be a problem for some however the Burbank court parking lot located 2 blocks east was empty at 8:30 on a Friday night so if you don't mind a walk (past the beautiful Burbank city hall and fountain), thats the best place to park if you are not a parking space hunter.

A nice, no frills Korean joint where you can get decent food for cheap. Every time I've come, I've left satisfied. They're friendlier than some of the other places in Ktown, that's for sure. The seating is a little weird. There's a big dining room in the back that's air conditioned, a couple of tables out front, and a few small tables in the cooking area. I highly recommend avoiding the middle seating as it's super hot and you'll reek of meat. The Korean BBQ isn't as good as you'd find in Ktown, but the bipbimbap is yummy. They don't take AMEX.

skb special - subbed it to be just bulgogi and kalbi. portions are really good for the price you pay, in comparison to normal tofu houses or k bbq places that have the same amount of meat...if not less for double the price. the bulgogi was eh, seemed a little shredded. the kalbi was average. along w/ the meat, you get two large scoops of rice, kimchi, sprouts 'n greens. the staff is really friendly and attentive - never had to ask for refills. the only thing i found odd was that the bathroom was in an awkward place. and it was SO small. other than that, decent experience.

Deep in the bland recesses of Burbank hides this great quickie takeout style Korean BBQ spot. *FAR* superior than that horrific chain you see in Westfield mall food courts. This is the only place I've found in the Los Angeles area that serves Fish Jun. I couldn't even find it when I visited Korea! Can't complain about the price either.

Great bulgogi. If your looking for good korean BBQ this is the place. It's small so it's not good for large groups. But the food is slamming

Great food! I crave food from here. Large portions, and inexpensive. I have to admit, I only have it delivered, so I cannot rate the restaurant itself, but I am pretty fussy...so go there, end enjoy!

The food is great and always tasty. The portions are great and always leave satisfied. The only issue is that the place is small and if you go for lunch it will take forever to get your order. For the price you get one great meal but be advised go early or later to avoid the rush.
