As of 2015, there are 213 Fazoli's located nationwide. The restaurant chain specializes in Italian cuisine and dishes. Carl Howard is the company's president and CEO.

i come here alot whenever i just want to have great steaks at a great price and the company its just awesome. Dennis the bar tender Paul and Luke are class acts, and EXCELLENT servers! they really go out of your way to make sure your happy and fed and dont go home grumpy. i go here every time they are having an art show across the street at eight and the artists are here before the show. i HIGHLY recommend the cowboy steak! as for service! its top notch! you get what you pay for. excellent corteous service! If there is anyone bothering you while eating or drinking the staff especially Luke, Dennis and Paul go out of their way to make sure that, those negative vibes are gone! sometimes its only one server doing the bar AND the dining area, trust me its not like they mean it to be that way, they will go out of their way to make sure your happy!

Well, it was a new adventure. It's a little and quiet spot just off the hotel. The service was decent and the salads are good but the entrees are rather bland and unsatisfactory. It was kind of a bummer when trying a new spot. I wouldn't go back because I know of better places for the price, but if you want a quiet atmosphere its a decent place to go. Plus they do still honor the 10% discount if you "check in" there.

The restaurant was literally across the street from Safari Inn which was where I was staying for the week. A friend decided to give this place a try due to the massive advertising at the hotel. I was disappointed to see that their menu was very limited. I decided to try their mushroom hamburger as well as their shrimp pesto. I could not finish my burger because it was almost tasteless. The shrimp pesto was a little better. The shrimp and the noodles were good however, they can also add a little more taste to the pesto as well. Not to mention!! We got there around 530pm and there were barely anyone in there. Perhaps about three tables and we did not get out foods until an hour later! We were literally starving and wanted to simply Togo everything and go back to our hotel to eat instead. Definitely not worth food and money. Save yourself a trip and try Something else.

This is the first time I was misled by other reviews. We went to Olives Bistro based on the great Yelp reviews. The service we received was awful and the food was less than mediocre at best. We had a party of 11 and there was only ONE SERVER for the whole place! Very disappointed!

Ok so I was totally thinking that this was some weird restaurant. Kinda laid out weird. But I thought the menu was good but what really took me by surprise was that the food was excellent. I got the special which was tilapia in a cream dill sauce. It was cooked perfectly. And the waiter even had them split the plate for me cause I shared the dish. The only thing was that we waited for 45 min to get our food.

We found the reviews for Olives on Yelp ;and decided to give it a shot before going to Cavalia. This place is a little gem! We loved the food, the prices and the service. A really great value for quality food! Only comment is, they could kick the atmosphere up a little by turning down the lights a little, better place settings and candle/ flowers. But hey, if that's what is keeping the prices down and the quality up- O.K.! The hotel it is in looks cool too. We loved the bar and the friendly bartender. Great job and will surely come back.

Came here with a groupon and found out there was a set menu for groupon customers (false advertient already). You get two slices of bruschetta per person (as if it's a taste test), small side salad, $5 steak, salty mashed potatoes and some shrimp. The decor is 80's rustic and smells like an old hotel. They only took pff the amoint we paid for the groupon instead of the value it should have been for the meal...so we still had a balance! Needless to say I was not very impressed and did not think the amount I paid for the groupon was worth this experience.

I arrived with four others to an empty restaurant. We arrived at 11:30 and breakfast ended at 11. We explained to the waitress that we were all dying for breakfast food so she talked to the kitchen and they obliged. Big time points for catering to the needs of their patrons. I ordered the California omelet which was FANTASTIC! The spinach and tomatoes were fresh, and it came with huge slices of avocado on top. It seemed to me they picked the avocados off of a tree in heaven because they were perfect. They have the best hashbrowns I have ever eaten in my life. And the orange juice was just right. Our server was extremely friendly and made me a cocktail even though the bar wasn't technically "open", again catering to my every need. (Although, I will say, my bloody mary could have used a bit more Vodka). As far as cleanliness, the place was immaculate. The decor was charming and the quiet outpouring of elevator music from the speakers above made the whole ambiance quite peaceful. Prices were reasonable (my meal and the kindness of the staff was off the charts. When I walked into the bathroom, it was everything I would've expected from this place. Sparkling. If I was forced to eat in the bathroom I would have been ok with it, it's that clean. I'd recommend this place to everyone.

The food is solid, though the bar is better. What I like most about this place is the wait staff. I used to come through here about once a month and really got to know and like two of the guys that normally worked Saturday nights. If you're a little friendly to them, you'll be benefited with better drinks. The restaurant itself could use a bit of an update, but if you can grab your food and sit in the hotel's atrium/in the bar area it's more pleasant. There are likely better places nearby where you can stop by, but you wouldn't be making a critical mistake here.

The food here is SO good and the staff is extremely friendly and hard working. I had the spinach/walnut salad which was fabulous; hubby had the stuffed chicken breast and son had one of the chicken sandwiches. The recently renovated an outdoor patio space and we ate out there on a pleasant evening. Such a treat!

Drove past this place for years and finally took a flyer on Christmas Eve a year ago. What a gem! Great food, friendly service, reasonable prices, and one of the best-kept secrets in Burbank. Olive's Bistro is nestled in a hotel, but this is NOT your typical hotel restaurant. Luke and Paul, the two waiters I'm most familiar with, are personable and accomodating. The chef (whom I've never met) knows his/her stuff. Definitely worth a visit--and you'll want to come back.

If you looking for a good priced meal locally (in Burbank) I think there are many way better places to go. The food was OK. But the service while super friendly was very slow. They only have one person working in the dinning room so we were waiting almost 1/2 hr for our wine and my husband waited about 45 mins for his beer. Dinner didnt come for about an hour after we ordered. I had the salmon which was average. The rice it came with was under cooked and the vegetables were cold. My husband enjoyed his burger and everyone else at the table said their food was just ok. The decor was blah, no atmosphere what so ever. I would probably not go back.

There are about 6 booths and 6 tables, all serviced by one very friendly, highly competent waiter. He took care of all the tables, had a smile for everyone and never seemed rushed or harried. He gets 5 stars! The food is much better than you would expect from a hotel restaurant. The Thai Chicken salad I had was quite tasty. However, it really wasn't that special. There is definitely some creativity and the food is good quality but not enough for me to return to eat there again. Glad I tried it though. The hotel ambiance (and that ubiquitous hotel smell) is enough to keep me away. 80% of the patrons were over 70 yrs old.

Olive's Bistro is a great spot for lunch. You've likely driven right by it and never noticed, as it's a hotel cafe. It's inside the Anabelle Hotel, head right thru the lobby, and then turn left past the bar. So it's just an average hotel cafe right? Wrong. Here's why this place rocks: 1. It's not crowded. That means - instant table and a dedicated server for the small room. How can you beat that? 2. Variety. Just as many salads as burgers and sandwiches. 3. Unique food. Burgers with gorgonzola and crispy onions, steak salad, cilantro pesto chicken melt. It's not just hotel cafe food. 4. Affordable. 5. Plenty of parking. Need I say more? I have no idea why this place isn't crowded. It's probably because people think it's just for the hotel patrons. If you work in the studios around Burbank, this is also one of the few places to have a conversation without everyone else you work with there also. It's a simple place - quiet and good. Apparently they serve breakfast and dinner as well. Open from 6am to 10pm. Imagine that - decent food right on Olive Blvd!

When I had to be in Burbank for business, I stayed at the Safari Inn because it is so campy. One time, they were filming scenes for Desperate Housewives there. I have dinner at Olive's Bistro when staying at the Safari. I've never had a bad dinner there. The Greek salad and the Caesar salad, the Baseball Steak and Planked Salmon are all very good. Their deserts are all good. Over the years, Luke has always been my server. He does an excellent job. I will no longer be going to Burbank on business so I don't know when, if ever, that I will be dining as Olive's. That makes me sad because I always enjoyed my time there. I'll miss you Luke!

Love this place! my husband and i went here because it was located in the Hotel across from Our motel- Safari Inn, also, it's at the sister hotel. Anyway, the food was WONDERFUL! i had the best Greek salad I have ever experienced and the service was great. We loved it and look forward to going back when we visit again.

Quiet, dull place...I wouldn't take anybody here if I was trying to impress them, but for a quick private lunch meeting it's fine. The Tuna Sandwich is good and I like their Quesadilla. But the Club Sandwich that I had recently was impossible to eat. It was layered and big like a normal club sandwich, but the chicken was huge breast of broiled chicken, too big to get your mouth around with all the other stuff that's in the club sandwich. I had to de-construct the sandwich to eat it and I didn't enjoy it. Fries were good and sweet potato fries were okay too. Prices for lunch are around $12 and you get a discount if you work for the local studios/businesses. If you haven't been there for a while, they've added more space so it's not the cramped little closet that it used to be.

I've been coming here for years now and it's the best kept secret in Burbank. It's not loud & obnoxious and you're usually able to get right in. Food is consistently very good. Staff is very friendly and inviting. The waiters also deliver the room service to the hotel they're in as well as the one they own next door so if it gets busy, service can suffer a little but we're usually in no hurry so we don't mind too much. If you've never been it's definitely worth a try.

Ehhh... The food is good, definitely above average for a hotel coffee shop, but it's a bit dreary, in the back corner of what is rapidly becoming a run-down and smelly hotel. The service is pretty bad, our entrees were delivered about 30 seconds after our appetizer, no kidding.

Last Thursday my friend referred this lovely bistro & I took my girlfriend for a date. The food was extremely amazing and our server Luke was very quick & informative. We first started off with an appetizer The Rosemary Thyme Bruchetta which was more of an Olive Tapenade Luke let us know & it was fantastic... Olives, sundred tomatoes, garlic, and olive oil with bruchetta bread - It was nice to find a place for my girlfriend that has vegitarian friendly options but also A Baseball Steak which was my Entree!!! It was mouthwatering!! She ordered a simple pasta dish called Angel Hair Tomato & Basil Pasta She totally loved it!!!! We were too full for dessert so we instead opted to have a dirt y martini in the bar!!! We decided this place is definately worth a second round!

This is how a bar should be. This is how customer service should be. The intimacy of the bar, demands that you converse with everyone present. If not, your resident bartender, Dennis, "who likes to provide a product that the people will enjoy," will introduce everybody to everybody, which instinctively, provokes conversation. There's a pretty sexy hotel here too. I give them an A on cleanliness & management. Nora is incredible! However, I frequently return because the bar is like a cool @$$ Cheers, the food is pretty damn good (I can only vouch for the burgers, steaks, catfish, & potstickers), & Dennis, who's mastered the art of bartending & customer service. ~ cheers

I haven't been to Olives in over a year. I miss the staff as this was my home away from home on a long job in Burbank. A nice way to relax after a day in the trenches. Dennis and Luke make a great team and serve some tasty drinks and good food. If it is not on the menu, but the kitchen can whip it up, they are happy to be creative. The regular crowd is great. Lots of interesting people and the out of town regulars are very nice. We spent some quality time at the bar. Dennis make a killer mai tai. Lots of fun and highly recommended.

I ate here all week for work and for a week back in December as well and I love the place! The staff is very friendly and accommodating even when a lot of demands are made of them. My favorite meals are the Chicken Tenders (seriously they are awesome) and the BBQ Chicken Salad! The salad is a little bit different depending on which chef is in the kitchen that day but I have loved it every time!

Got to try Olive's while staying at the Coast Annabelle on business. First night I ordered room service and got the Ribeye with a piece of chocolate cake. I wanted a brownie but they were out, and very apologetically gave me a gigantic piece of cake with ice cream. Ordered breakfast the next morning. An egg white sandwich with bacon that wasn't on the menu but they whipped it up for me anyway. It was so delicious and came with two watermelon slices. How cool is that?! On my way out I had the caprese sandwich and it was very big I couldn't finish it all. Made for good leftovers the next night. Overall, super friendly wait staff and very accommodating. The bartender was also great and brought over a glass of water while i waited on my food for take-out. Nice peeps, good eats. I recommend!

Went here last Saturday for dinner. Tony was our server and was hilarious. We are a pretty snarky group and make silly requests and he accomodated them. We asked for the candle to be lit and lights lowered to make us feel prettier and when he did we knew he was our kind of waiter. But I do think he suffers from ADD, because he was all over the place. Which again made us like him even more. But he got my order totally wrong (I ordered the chopped salad and got the cobb, did not say anything, and even though it was wrong it was very delicous) and a few minor things wrong. Going to say it was a long day for him and he was the only waiter there. Nothing so wrong we could not eat our food. And being in the service industry for a long time we wont complain unless the mistake is so bad we cannot eat it. I am sure if we said anything Tony would have fixed it ASAP. Still the food was great. Service was good as well. Would eat here again without a 2nd thought... great time and yummy food.

This place is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service is always friendly and accommodating, and the food delicious. Not your chain restaurant fare here. For a hotel restaurant it is quite exceptional.

First time at the Olive Bistro, when we arrived we noticed it was part of a hotel. My friend and I debated going in. But a friendly waiters smile lured us in. Very charming and elegant looking restaurant. Completely empty but we decided to stay. The same waiter (Luke) was beyond friendly. Made us feel welcomed. I had one of their burgers (Annabelle) the meat was so flavorful and well cooked, big portion for the price I even added mushrooms and it came out to $12 my friend had the Raspberry salad (btw very yummy) the experience was very pleasant I highly recommend this place. Will definitely be returning (perfect for a date night).

Met up with a friend for lunch here recently. Easy parking, cozy atmosphere. Not overly crowded. Very good service and the portions were generous. I had the greek salad with ahi tuna. Delicious! Prices were reasonable. I would definitely come back!

I was staying at the safari inn next door and was surprised that they do room service. So i was excited because it was late night and i didnt want to come out of the room aswell as my boyfriend. The lady I talked to I wish i knew her name was great. When she came to drop off the food she was friendly and worried about the drunk people outside she told me that I could call her or the place and they would take care of it if we felt like they would be a problem. It made me feel better knowing i could do that. The food was good too I had the chicken over linguine and my bf had the BBQ chicken burger. We did split the potstickers and the sauce was amazing. I'd definitely come back and have dinner.

My husband and I have had two meals here, breakfast and dinner. Our dinner was AMAZING! We both ordered the special which was a steak filet topped with blue crab. My husband is a bit of a foodie and we have been to many steakhouses, but this was the best steak we have ever had at a restaurant! The restaurant is small, quaint, quiet, and clean. Both waiters that we had were very friendly, helpful, and fun to chat with. They were both very knowledgeable and helped us plan a bit of sightseeing. Luke was especially helpful and outgoing with great customer service skills. We will definitely be going back! Great food and great staff! We will be checking out the bar area at our next visit.

If I could give my experience with a ZERO I would.THE BAR!!!!! I remembered that the food and drinks were good And They ARE...... HOWEVER, my husband and I - being local residence, went to Olive's Bistro Bar to relax and catch upon things. OMG- Let me just tell you- If Dennis is there.. he has a very deep and loud voice- is the bartender- Go to the restaurant.!!!! do not pass go DO NOT collect your $200 dollars. Lazy and he has no idea about costumer service. We ordered some food and drinks- which were good as we knew they would be.... When it came time to want more drinks... APPARENTLY, you have to walk up to the bar to ask for more???? It took 20 mins to attempt to get his attention way from those DIRECTLY in front of him. Mind you the bar area is SMALL!!!! within 10 feet of the bar I was waving my arm to get his attention.... Once if finally did ..... he sat on the arm of the chair and pointed in the direction of the restaurant saying ." that is were you go if you want waiters" REALLY!!!! this person works for for his hourly wage NOT for tips!!!! Unfortunate, because he is actually a good drink mixer. We left NO tip ... which is sacrilege , since my husband use to be a professional waiter for over 20 years. AND to top it off, my husband heard him bad mouthing me to the people at the bar because I expected him to come to the table!!!! What an outrageous idea. Am I missing something? If you have a problem feeling like a servant- don't work in the SERVICE industry. OR- perhaps appreciate that you have a good job and respect it. WOW I would have him fired in a heat beat.... Bad for local business and bad reflection on Burbank. Horrible attitude.

Doesn't get any better than this. Wonderful signature drinks, a happy hour menu that sings, great ambiance in the bar, and the bartender, Dennis I think, is a joy and a treasure. Seriously, I don't know what he's being paid but it should be more! Try the ArTea martini if you like sweet and the Noir Margarita martini is to die for! I can't believe I've lived down the street from this place and just discovered it. A friend took me here for a belated birthday celebration and I'm blown away. Can't wait to make this place a weekly event!

Dennis, the bartender makes killer martinis (with bombay saffire gin, never never vodka!!!) with the best blue cheese stuffed olives which he hand stuffs from a big blue cheese wheel. Best of the best right there! Whether at the bar or in the restaurant. Restaurant is my favorite in Burbank. The wife and I go there for dinner every couple of weeks and have to date never been disappointed. Try the coconut shrimp and albacore crostini.... Or not - cause I would hate it if they ran out. Good wait staff Luke, Paul, Leeann, and Laurie but you gotta remember they also run the room service for the two hotels. I have never had to wait but I read some reviews and all I can say is have a little patience. This is a special quiet cafe/restaurant, never feel rushed, great place to have a meeting over coffee and dessert or whatever. I really like this place.

Love this place. Simple menu with good portions. It's totally a throwback from the 60's. Got the Rat Pack jazz piped in at just the right volume. They have a nice little indoor patio. Super spacious and very kid friendly. Will definitely eat here again.

I eat breakfast here once a week as part of a BNI networking group, as well as occasionally when wanting a nice quiet and elegant place for breakfast. The food is always nicely prepared, and they pay attention to how you'd you like (rule 1 for any place that serves breakfast). The service staff is attentive. It's not the most exceptional breakfast I've had, but reliable, and the venue is intimate. A GREAT place for a romantic dinner or pre-dinner drinks. I strongly recommend meeting business clients here.

So after driving by this place for 3 years and saying "I should eat there". I finally remembered to go before I had eaten. The service was prompt and courteous. I had the gorgonzola burger with regular fries. I asked for the burger medium-rare and it came out spot on medium-rare. It had good flavor (could have used a lil more salt and pepper but it was tasty). The servers were on point and prompt with drink refills and definitely a hidden little spot to drop by once and a while.

Like every other reviewer here, we stayed in the Safari Inn across the street. Dinner had been missed for a variety of reasons so we were looking for a bite or two before heading to bed. The lounge was comfortable, the bartender VERY friendly, the drinks strong, and the lounge only appetizer menu was diverse, cheap and tasty. After the over priced food further south around the more touristy places, this was a nice change. Based on that, we decided to grab breakfast there too. It was just as good. While small at first glance, the breakfast menu actually has a lot of options on it. Several items have multiple options, and the "Create your own Omelet" was a surprise - it seems impossible to find such things these days. A nice touch that there are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu too. The service was even better then the night before. After ordering the food arrived much quicker then we thought possible. The french toast was some of the best I've ever had, and the waitress gladly added berries to it even though it wasn't an option. The side of bacon was cooked perfectly and the vegetable scram was extremely tasty. While I'm not overly familiar with breakfast offerings in Burbank, this meal was good enough that on my next visit I'll have a hard time even thinking of looking somewhere else.

Not bad for a tiny hotel's tiny restaurant. Olive's is the hotel restaurant at the Coast Annabelle Hotel. Kind of a captive audience I'd think. But I was tired and not feeling picky so I dropped in for dinner after a long day at Disneyland. The restaurant was lightly attended, two women serving the tables and maybe five tables occupied. I had a steak and salad, and iced tea. Food quality was okay, the service was attentive, and the price was reasonable. I wouldn't have gone out of my way for the cuisine, but when it's fifty feet from your room, you don't have expectations of Alexander's or Ruth's Chris. :) I didn't bother with breakfast here in the morning, as my company has very reasonable cafeterias for breakfast and lunch, and next time I'll probably browse around the area for other eateries, but for a tired traveler who wants a modest dinner, it's not a bad choice.

This is such an odd little restaurant, it's connected to a motel with like a late 80s interior so when I ate here I didn't expect much, especially with the straight up skinny long haired hippy vibe waiter. But, this place was a rather pleasant experience; the service was great, the food was pretty good (I ordered the steak w/ blue cheese sauce, and my friend the traditional burger) and it came out the way we ordered. Just one word of caution, their Manhattan is pretty eh... Anyway, if you're in the area this place is worth checking out.

Immediately, I'll say that the reason I am giving Olive's Bistro one star is that I am 95% sure I got REALLY bad food poisoning from a salad I ate here that had me out of it for all of Thanksgiving 2012. Of course, it could have come from something else, but I highly doubt it; and once that is in your head, it doesn't matter HOW good the restaurant may or may not be - you just don't go back or recommend it to anyone. We ate at Olive's several times, and until I got sick, it was a totally doable place. Granted, being a "hotel restaurant" in my mind already makes an establishment "eh", but in all honesty, we had good meals here. I usually had salads, which were big portioned and hearty. Colleagues had burgers, etc. and all agreed that Olive's was a solid go-to in our lunch rotation. The service is okay at Olive's - nothing tremendous, nor is the staff terribly friendly. When you're THE restaurant in a hotel, I guess you don't have to have stellar customer service, since you already have a captive/built in customer source. The staff isn't rude there per se; they're just not friendly or chatty. Olive's prices are slightly steep, but not so outrageous that we were scared off by them, either. In Burbank, in a hotel, one shouldn't flinch at a $10 burger, or salad anyway, I suppose. SO... I had a Cobb Salad there and got more ill than I have been in YEARS. I was out of it for days, through the Thanksgiving holiday. I called the restaurant several times to speak with the manager about it, and every time I called, I got another reason from an employee why no one of authority was there; it seems that there is no floor manager on at all times at Olive's; to me, that's a red flag warning. I finally gave up calling and sent a detailed email instead to the address on the hotel's website. I CC'd the hotel on the email just in case the restaurant didn't respond. Lo and behold, the email address for Olive's bounced my message back with a fatal error. If you're a restaurant and your email doesn't even work... red flag #2. The manager DID return my email a day or so later, and she was fair, but not overly apologetic or sympathetic. She said she'd look into it and make sure the kitchen was following proper safety guidelines, etc. What threw me, is that she sent me the email from her own personal Yahoo account. Here's what I came away with from this experience: Olive's Bistro is likely a poorly-managed hotel restaurant that settles for "okay" on all fronts, as the hotel, not food, is what keeps it in business and people employed. To have a restaurant open with NO manager or someone of importance running the show is just plain wrong in any location. To have a website with bad email address for the contact info is also sloppy and indicative of a larger problem. The poor girl who is Olive's part-time manager is probably underpaid and not given the proper resources to do her job, if she has to resort to responding to complaints, etc. with her personal email instead of company's. I personally will never return to Olive's. The possible food poisoning combined with their unprofessional practices have scared me and my stomach away permanently. Too many other options in the Burbank area. I cannot recommend Olive's to anyone and warn you to dine at your own risk here.

There's something I really like about this place. It's a tiny restaurant and the decor is rather generic, but the service and food are exceptional. The bartender is always super friendly and seems to have a following of regulars. They have a happy hour with cheaper apps. The lounge doesn't have much atmosphere, but sometimes you just want to get a drink and not have "a scene" go with it. That's how I feel about the restaurant, you can always get in and get out without a wait. You seat yourself and then the servers are amongst the nicest people (must not be from LA). They are always on top of refilling your drink and checking in on you without being annoying. With the Yelp app, you can get 10 percent off with your check-in. They honored ours without any hassle. We started with the coconut shrimp. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by how big the shrimp were. They were perfectly fried and I loved the sweet sauce that went with it. Their menu is a mix of diner favorites like burgers and salads, but also has some Italian influence. I loved my Chicken Picatta. It was fresh, the pasta wasn't overcooked and the sauce was nice and lemony without being too heavy on the cream. The garlic bread was amazing! My boyfriend had the Chicken Marsala and it looked great too. Would totally recommend getting the pasta. Definitely hearty portions! With the food and awesome service, I don't know why this place isn't packed. Oh and did I mention free parking? Will definitely become a regular anytime I'm out in Burbank.

Because of the reviews we tried this establishment for a special valentines dinner We should have left after being seated at one of the most uncomfortable booths known to man but made a tactical error and stayed. The bread was half baked and salt and flavor free, the olive tampomade was old out of a jar and placed on stale store bought toast. When the waiter recommended that we have salad vs the something resembling chicken Noodle soup we should have been informed of the disaster that was to happen. We had barely taken a bite of the salad when the main course of filet, baked potato with scampi was brought. I hate it when you are rushed with a "good" meal. The main was somewhat redeemable. Steak minimal flavor but ok. Scampi the most flavorful thing in the plate. Baked potato good but had to ask for butter and sour cream. When it was time for dessert the waiter highly recommended the tiramisu. Well I usually go with the waiter recommendation but it was the most horrid tiramisu we have had. It was hard--lady fingers supposed to be soaked in espeesso=soft. Not so much. We didn't risk the coffee there and left. One of the worst dinners in the last few years. In a nutshell a total disaster. My bf states they should open a pet store :(

Came here last night for a quick bite before a screening at the Disney lot. Luke was great in getting us in and out in under 45 minutes, and recommended a few very tasty appetizers. The veggie quesadilla was awesome!

I randomly selected Olive's Bistro for a blind date. I wasn't sure what to expect however, the reviews here were pretty favorable. When I actually saw the establishment, I was surprised that this place was not crowded on Saturday night. My first instinct was that I made a bad decision. However, contrary to what I thought, Olive's Bistro actually has good food. I can only assume that this place gets crowded during the week days since it is conveniently located in Burbank. The food and service were both good. Our waiter/bartender was very attentive to our needs (besides the fact that at the time that we dined, my date and I were the only ones inside). I feel that Olive's Bistro is a good place to take your family or friends when you desire a quiet space to have a good conversation.

We took over the bar area for a friends/family get together on a Saturday evening. Basically we had all the tables and some people sitting at the bar itself. 14 people. Wow! The bar tender guy was super cool. He was full of energy and was happy to have our group invade his bar randomly at 4pm. The drinks were decently priced and they had Michelob on top, which is one of the reason's why I chose it. We hung around for 2 hours and probably ran up a pretty decent tab. I'm guessing everyone had at least 1 or 2 drinks. The manager on duty was great and I let her know that we had a great time. My only complaint is that the bar seemed not to be fully stocked with other beers my friends wanted, but our bartender went and grabbed a few and put them on ice. I think next time, I'll call ahead and let them know what we would like to have ready for us. :) Otherwise, a great experience. Very intimate and a great time had by all.

Had a dinner at 6:30 and the place was dead. This is never a problem if the food is good. The service will be that much more attentive. I ordered the Catch of the Day, which happened to be Teriyaki salmon, and I had it grilled. It was very good. The sides were underwhelming, unfortunately, and marred the meal a bit (rice and veggies which were a little overcooked). The happy hour specials weren't terribly impressive ($3 for a domestic draft isn't good enough to convince me to drink when I'm not in the mood), although I'm not an inveterate drinker. Olive's Bistro is also a little tricky to find, even once you're actually inside. It's located within a hotel, but you have to walk through the bar to get to the dining area around the corner. In my ignorance, I thought the bar *was* the restaurant, and was just really small. Live and learn. Overall, I don't see much of a point in returning. Average, although service was good.

How much do I love Olive's? Words cannot describe! I always hit Olive's before art openings at Hyaena Gallery across the street. It's like Burbank's own warped version of Cheers, guranteed to be filled with interesting patrons. Not only is the food delicious (try their raspberry/chicken spinach salad, sweet potato fries and coconut shrimp) and their drinks strong, but the bartenders are the most hilarious, friendly and entertaining men that I've ever met. Love you guys!

Right off the bat, I'll say that the reason Olive's Bistro gets a 5-star rating from me is because of their bartender, Dennis. I work in Burbank and have a handful of good options for bars and happy hours, but Dennis makes Olive's my favorite choice. He is always energetic, friendly, hilarious, and totally on top of things service-wise. My friend and I come to Olive's at least once a week for happy hour, and although I've always enjoyed the food and drinks, our reason for going to Olive's is always - "Lets go see Dennis!" Although I've never eaten in the restaurant, Luke, one of the waiters, is in the bar area often, and is super sweet and funny....and makes a killer hummus. He always puts a smile on my face. The other waiter, Paul, is so friendly and always makes a point to come over and say hello and see how I'm doing. I can't speak to their skills as waiters, as I haven't eaten in the restaurant, but they make Olive's a really fun environment and a great place to go relax and have some laughs. I should also throw a comment out there for the food and drinks, as I've always been pleased with anything I've ordered. My favorite "go to" drink here is the Artea, which is Dennis' own creation. It's so yummy!! They also have Rumpleminze, which is hard to find at any bars anywhere! For food, I usually order from the happy hour menu, and I've really liked the popcorn shrimp and pita/hummus plate (thanks to Luke's amazing hummus!), and from the full menu, the baked rigatoni is amaaaaazing! I admit it's not the "coolest" or "hippest" bar around....it's a pretty typical hotel bar. So if you're looking for dramatic aesthetics, this isn't your place. But I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a great bar - with Dennis, you can't NOT have a great time, and you'll be perfectly happy with the food and drinks.

Just finished Thanksgiving dinner at Olive's Bistro and have to say that this is the best dinner, ambiance and service ever! This is not our first time here but our first Thanksgiving dinner. Our server Luke is awesome! Very attentive and makes a Sidecar that'll knock your socks off! (delish!!!) Can't say enough about how awesome the food and staff (Paul, Leanne and the Manager Laura) is - it's what keeps us coming back. Looking forward to Christmas dinner. I went down to my hotel bar not expecting very much. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. Dennis, the bartender was great. He was nice, friendly and really engaged with everyone in the bar. He made was introducing people to each other making jokes and really made the experience fun. The drinks were good and the happy hour was cheap. I had a salad, it was great.

I need a location that has: Golden brown pancakes or waffles Scrambled eggs w/ cheese Country fried potatoes or hashed browns Sausage Olive Bistro has it all and cooks it just how I like it. This hidden gem is a perfect choice for someone with a big appetite. In total, I spent about $12 (which was a lot) but I was really hungry. So, I kept ordering! *I knew the food was good when my stomach started playing the bass drums and Thomas Crapper appeared before my eyes.

Yummy! Let me start off by saying I'm an extremely busy & "on the go" attorney always in a rush. I'm in downtown prob 3-4 days a week at court and in depos. I first experienced this place when I was at a court reporters office when they ordered lunch for us. The secretary told me that olive bistro caters for them a few days a week.... I was pretty amazed because Italian food in big quantities is tricky but this really was so good that I now stop there for lunch whenever I'm in dt. Which is perfect for me because its quick, easy access, fresh, and yummy!!!! I even had them cater for our office a fee timed on some of the staff members' bdays and it was a huge success !

I can't remember the last time I walked out of a place before I ordered, but I did at Olives. I was in the area running errands in the afternoon, and just wanted to go to a nice bar to sit and relax, reading a book, and get a bite to eat. I had never been to Olives before. I walk into the bar area, and it was very small - so I went around to look for the restaurant. The very loud obnoxious bartender was yelling "Bar or Restaurant ? Bar or Restaurant?" He said it several times in a very rude manner, and I wasn't sure who he was talking to. So the bartender comes out from behind the bar, and says something like "I'm talking to you. You walked right passed me. Usually people talk to you when you go into a place. Do you want the restaurant or the bar?" I said "I'm sorry, I have never been here before." And I started to sit in the small bar area. He followed me over, and then said "You can chat up Joe right here, he's looking for someone to talk to." There was a guy sitting at the next table. There were about 8 people in the bar, and they all turned around to look at me - and some of them snickered and chuckled at his comment. I was so embarrassed. I mean, come on - how rude and immature ! That is how the bartender greats new customers. At other restaurants the host usually says How are you today, how many in your party. But at this place I was treated very rudely when I arrived. I sat there for a second, and decided I did not like this at all. So I got up, and walked into the restaurant area. The waiter there as very pleasant, and greeted me in a nice manner. And let me pick my table. The place was pretty empty, with only one other table with people. I asked the waiter "Is that the patio area?" He said "its kind of a patio area, but it is enclosed." So I sat out on the patio area - in a mostly empty restaurant. I asked the waiter for a glass of water while I looked at the menu. And then I noticed that the place smelled Bad - like old building smell, water damage smell. And the air conditioning on the enclosed patio area was really cold. Probably because there was so few people in the restaurant area. I decided no, this was a mistake, I need to drive somewhere else. I got up and ran into the waiter with my glass of water, and I just said "Sorry the air conditioning is too cold." And he said "oh do you want your water in the bar area?" And I said "No I am leaving. Thanks."

I went to Olive's Bistro a few days ago for lunch in the Burbank area. I was confused at first because Olive's is part of a hotel and I could not find the restaurant area at first. The ambiance of the place was sort of weird and run down to me and there were not a lot of people in the place so I was very skeptical at first. I got a chopped salad with grilled chicken that was excellent! My friend got a spinach and raspberry salad that was outstanding as well. We were all very surprised at how good the food was! This is a hidden gem and a fun place for lunch if you are looking for a quick but super yummy salad. I don't know if I would go back because I really did not like the restaurant atmosphere but it ended up still being a great choice. The prices are also very fair which is nice.

Meh, nothing special about this place. I guess the only reason this place is in business is because it's attached to a hotel so I'm assuming a lot their visitors are the guests of the hotel. We came here on a Friday night and the place was empty, which was nice. I got their ahi tuna salad and it was alright, nothing to rave about. I also got their dirty martini, which actually was very good. If you're looking to grab a quick bite to eat and not be bothered by a crowed then this place will do.

O is for Olives Bistro and O is for OBSCURE OBSCURE--adj far from public notice, worldly affairs, or important activities; remote; retired: an obscure little town. That's what dictionary.com says and that is the best word to describe my meal at Olives bistro. Why is this place so obscure? Why does it only have 7 prior reviews in the past 3 and a half years? How come I, of all people, a big-time breakfast lover never heard of this play, and never would have except I was seeking out a place that began with the letter "O"? Well, I went seeking the answer to these burning questions today, and while I did not find them, I did find a nice inexpensive place to have a first-rate breakfast. And in spite of its location in a nice hotel, it was reasonably priced as well. Not cheap-cheap like a Denny's but my omelette (Bacon, Mushroom, Cheddar) with taters and toast and a cup of coffee came to $12.51 with tax. And it was good. At breakfast, I am not looking for earth-shaking, I want comfort. Olives was extra clean, extra quiet, and the service was professional and polite. That's all I wanted and that's exactly what I got. The waitress filled my coffee cup when needed, had the condiments and silverware there before my meal arrived and had a pleasant smile. All she did was perfectly do the simple things so many places get wrong. the omelet was a little (but not too much) overdone, but the hash browns were extra crispy--just like I asked for. I don't get to Burbank at breakfast time very often, but I will be back to try lunch one day soon. So, getting back to the original theme--why is this place so obscure? Perhaps because there is no obvious entrance off the street. Perhaps because people don;t realize that hotel restaurants are open to the public. Or, perhaps people just assume it is going to be pricey. I don't have an answer. I just know that there is a good place for breakfast in Burbank that probably won't be too crowded. Enjoy. We went to this place when our kid was doing some skating at Pickwick. It's a close drive and they are open to 10pm which is a bit later than most other places around. The food was American. We had the chips and dip for an app and I had a mushroom burger with fried. The chips and dip, was incredibly rich. Very nicely done. My medium hamburger was so-so. Theoretically it started as 1 1/2lb of ground beef but I have had bigger cheese burgers at McDonalds honestly. It was over cooked a tad. The fries were nothing special, looked just like frozen string fries. HOWEVER, the mushroom and cheese made up for this and it was quite tasty. I'll admit, it was much better than it appeared. When we came in, we were warned that they were really busy for the time, so props for setting expectations. I found the wait service just to be a tad off. We didn't get our beverages until we reminded him and that came after he asked another patron if they wanted a refill. All in all, it was okay. Probably a one timer for us and we'll seek out another joint next time we're in the area. In a crunch, not bad.

I love this place. The food has always been great, the service is impeccable and I will be going back many many times. My favorites are the spicy chicken strips and the pesto melt sandwich, although you really cant go wrong with anything on the menu. And now, its even better since they added the covered patio. Fun place to grab a drink and watch a game.

The restaurant was clean. That's the best I can say for Olive's. Mediocre customer service and not so tasty breakfast food (i.e. eggy breakfast burrito and hash browns) was very greasy and amateurish. Overall, would not recommend this restaurant for breakfast. It also has a bar area with TVs and extended Happy Hour but I was not around to experience that section of the store.

Great food and great service! Right around the cute hotel lobby there's a convenient bar and the restaurant. They have a good selection of choices at reasonable prices. Hotel guests and the public are welcomed.
