The service was excellent. I was visiting a friend who had just moved into the area and wanted to try a new sushi place. We saw this on yelp and decided, what the heck. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. My friend was talking to me about possibly getting some tea and a waiter who happen to be walking by stopped dead in his track and said "did someone say they wanted teaaa??" Servers here are super friendly and my ice tea was always refilled before it ever reached the bottom. It didn't look like servers were assigned tables so anyone could help you. I'll definitely be coming back to this place. A+

The service and quality of food is terrible. Let me start with the service. We walk in and the restaurant only has one other table. They have about 3 waiters standing around. They took 10 min and forgot 3 times that I ordered a water. Our food took too long to come out and for the place being empty and depressing inside the service should be better . Now to the food. It was under cooked and was disgusting plain and simple.

Easy access location, spacious dining room for sizable family get togethers, generous food portions, and reasonable pricing. Add all that with great food, and you have your new hang-out spot. What I liked on my last visit: The fried calamari batter is really good. The chicken teriyaki is juicy and tender even without the sauce. The size of fish in the sushi is generous. And that tempura fried banana?! AMAZING!!! Service is top notch and courteous. Management is family owned and run, so it has that quaint hometown feel to it. Can't go wrong.

Momotaro is our usual sushi spot. Close to home, reasonably priced, and cozy inside. We don't go because they have the freshest most amazing sushi, but it's just comforting to go there. Their lobster and scallops rolls are our favorite. They have a pretty decent happy hour where their more simple rolls are around $3.

Iris H.
We've been coming to Momotaro for years and had always had a good experience. We started coming here when they had the buy 3, get the 4th roll for 99 cents. Understandably, it has risen consistently over the years to $3.99. Service seems to have gone downhill. With a less attentive wait staff, slow drinks delivery and slow order taking. (We were not on our phones at all) The food has grown in price but has shrunk in portion size. Quality of the sushi doesn't seem as fresh, with the tuna having an odd flavor. However, when it was time to pay the check they were right there! How about that?! Still decent, but we'll be looking for a new "go to" sushi place.

We have been coming here just about once a week for over a year and love it. The food is fresh and well prepared. One thing that we love is the Momo Ball, a ball of Spicy Tuna covered with Avocado that is almost as large as a tennis ball. Another of our favorites are the hand roll specials. Everything we have tried has been good. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to see that you enjoy your dining experience . You won't be disappointed !

Decent sushi place. I stopped by to check out their happy hour. I got the 3 hand roll special. Avocado roll, salmon skin roll, and a yellowtail roll. The only one worth noting was the salmon skin roll. The others including, the crunchy roll, were nothing spectacular. I'd go only again for the happy hour prices, not for quality sushi.

The best sushi ever! Awesome environment. Fresh and yummy !! The staff is so friendly and accommodating! Check it out !!

After a 10 year break from this place, I decided to go back. For a sushi place, it's good. Nice spread out layout means your not elbow-to-elbow with the fan sitting next to you. Price is high and the portions are average. The size of the sushi is smaller than other places. It was $75 for two for lunch which is a grip! Too much money for lunch. A special at $35/person is a bit steep. Other than that, it's good sushi and extremely friendly staff.

Good sushi for the location. Prices are reasonable and portions are big. They also have happy hour specials (both early and late ones). I usually get the large chirashi bowl because it has more variety of fish and I can control the amount of rice I eat. It's a good place to go if you have guests that don't eat raw fish as they have a large selection of cooked foods as well (teriyaki combos, noodles like udon and soba, and a few Korean dishes like bibimbap). Service is usually pretty good too. There will be times when you'll have to flag someone to get more water or wasabi but overall my experiences have been good.

Great place for sushi!! I've been a regular here for years. The food quality has been consistent and amazing every time we come. Service is great and staff is very friendly. Hands down best sushi spot in Burbank.
(5)
Stan K.
Simply the best quality of food and service in town. Price is reasonable. I see some people criticize its sushi when they only eat california rolls, so dont judge this restaurant based on few negative feedbacks until you actually try it. Every visit at Momotaro never disappointed me yet. Dont get me wrong, it is not as fancy as $200 per person sushi place, but what im saying is that Momotaro is definetely a great place to be for an average japanese restaurant.
(5)
Marcelino R.
The very best sushi in town and for several towns around!!! No exaggeration the food is always tasty and the fish is fresh. The best appetizers; monkey balls and baked green mussels. No matter what you order, you can't go wrong!! You like it spicy tell any of the great chefs, but if you wanna loose your mind order the "shut up" hand roll. Spicy tuna is an understatement it has crab and shrimp and Momotaros proprietary blend of secret spices. Sooooo good!!! Superb food and excellent service.

Okay so I've been coming here for over 5years and it has taken me awhile to get this review up. First the staff is friendly and attentive. There is plenty of parking, and convenient location. Next the food has always been consistent, one of the sushi chefs has been there for 10 years, and he really knows his sushi. I personally love their rolls and calamari. Always fresh, and portion size is just right, filling. I have kids, and there is plenty for them. Very family friendly. If you want good quality food that is consistent, this is the place.
(5)
Mike M.
Average sushi/Japanese restaurant. I've been a few times, and the food is fine, just nothing to get excited about. Last time I was there, I had a combo plate with chicken teriyaki and a spicy tuna roll. I ate everything, and it came with a salad and soup. Price was reasonable, staff were friendly.
(3)
Christian S.
Been here several times now. The tempura was the first thing to win me over. Then the sushi. And most recently, the MOMO BALL. So delicious. The udon and the salmon salad are also stand outs. The more I come here, the more I fall in love! I would definitely recommend this place.
(5)
Sol C.
Ordered the sushi and sashimi lunch combo. The sashimi and cali roll were average. The side salad with ginger dressing was delicious. The decor is nice and spacious. Will come back to try something different.

They are currently celebrating their 10th Anniversary with a few lunch specials -- at $11 and $14 you get 5 pieces of sushi (nigiri) and one of five rolls, the more expensive of the two options allowing for some tempura rolls. I've stopped in to Momotaro a few times for lunch and it is a fine place for lunch. I think the average review for this place--3.5 is maybe what I'd give this place if I could. It's a standard sort of Japanese place in Burbank and so I think that's fair. I will say on this most recent visit, the servers were very kind. I thought it a bit odd they were blasting pop hits over the radio, but perhaps that's a lunch thing? And while salmon is typically something I stay away from, included in the lunch special I was actually quite pleased. The tuna could have been better so perhaps you win some, lose some.

Came here for a business meal. Got 6 rolls. Most of them were ok, good, not great. The 2 that stood out was calamari roll and Garlic roll. We sat at a table vs. sushi bar and only got rolls so your experience might vary.

Went yesterday and was surprised to see all new waiters and a different menu. A little mix up with my order but still a great place for sushi and rolls. Hope there is not any big changes coming, you can't mess with a good thing.

Awesome restaurant with great selection of rolls and entrees. My family and I have been going here for about ten years! I used to live up the street from this place. We usually order the boat or bridge option with a couple rolls and a entree. Yes, we eat a lot..... and we eat well. haha! My favorite roll here is the rainbow roll. There's nothing that could go wrong with it. The sushi is fresh and the servers are always an A+. i would come here every week if I could. I only I lived close by.
(5)
Claire K.
Sushi tasted like any other sushi in LA but I was very disappointed in their donburi bowls. Eggs were just scrambled on top of the meat. Too much rice to everything else ratio and was way too wet from the juices of the meat. Any restaurant who serves dishes should really learn how it's made traditionally so they don't make amateur mistakes like this on such a simple dish.

Ingå B.
You Know, I always drove by this place and always wondered how is the food. Well last week I finally went in for lunch and although it didn't exceed my expectations, it neither disappointed me. The place is really small and cluttered. We got the lunch plate with teriyaki, tempura, sushi and salad and it was OK. Reminded me of the same food across the street at Yakitori. It was OK, nothing impressive. I ordered a side of pickled cucumbers which was delicious but that's about it. Staff is vague, don't check up on you often to make sure you need a refill or need anything else. Don't think I'll be back here for sushi. I prefer Sushi Joint instead which has been my go to sushi spot in Glendale for past 2-3 years.

Love this place!! Food and service is fantastic. Love the burbank roll and Walt Disney roll

Have been going here for quite some time now, at least 8 years. This review has been long overdue. One of the best sushi spots in Burbank. The owners of the place are so nice and welcoming. Service is great. Sushi is fresh. Sometimes when we come in we just like to sit at the sushi bar and ask the chefs what they recommend or have them bring on whatever depending on what we feel like. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food. I read reviews with people complaining about their pricing but I see no difference when comparing to other sushi restaurants around this area unless you want to go down in quality of sushi. I recommend this spot!

We love Momotaro. It is our favorite go to sushi place. They are always accommodating to our toddler, nice, service is fast and food is great. I love the combo with the ginger chicken and the sushi is really good.

Always fresh sashimi and sushi, great services and friendly staff. Momotatro is my favorite Japanese restaurant in town.

Food was not good. There were fruit flies flying around everywhere. The waitress was very attentive but then again she should have been as I was swatting flies away from my raw fish the entire time. In all, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Great and friendly service, loved it before i ate. They give you edamame while you wait. Great sushi and the house salad with ginger sauce was really good, i wanted more.

I've been coming to this restaurant with my parents since they opened. Now I bring my boyfriend here. Always excellent service, excellent sushi, excellent experience everytime. You really can't go wrong eating here. I've been to other sushi places and I always end up coming back to momotaro, so I gave up trying new places. This place is the best! Keep up the great work!!(:

Okay, so my review might be a little biased because I came here for a friend's birthday and it was a great experience! Private dining room with friendly service and endless sushi. Everything was delicious!

Nairi P.
I have gone here maybe 100x. Excellent quality food, reasonable prices, very friendly staff... Most I ever had to wait was 5min. Their rolls are really good and very artistically-crafted. Sometimes I get on-the-house items like free ice cream, since I have gone there so many times. Very quiet and calm atmosphere with individual and private seating areas (closed off from one another for privacy). Their quality is great, never had an issue. Only notes I would make: - the hot green tea tastes like unfiltered tap water - prices have gone up a bit - they have a membership card but they don't save your info on their computer so if you lose it, you have to get a new card & start from 0 points - miso soup tastes good but is too light & empty (not hearty) - wish they could play traditional Asian music instead of popular radio songs

I've been coming here for over ten years... The service is always great and the Bloody Mary Roll had never failed me! Love this place, love the food, love that there's parking!! A+++

I went to Ebay and bought $100 gift certificate for $8.00 bid, redeemable at restaurant.com . This restaurant honors it, but for only $50 at a time. The waitress was rude and had poor customer service. The sushi was excellent and the owner was amazing. I'd go back, but don't go around closing time.

I had the vegetable bibimbab and it was very good. The service was fantastic and friendly.

The best sushi restaurant in the neighborhood! ! Rolls are very delicious especially the 'blood mary roll' in one of my favorites. The kitchen menus are good too. I would recommend this place to everyone. Great food and great environment and great service!! =)

Cozy sushi resturant. Best green mussels and best soft shel crab I've ever tried. Very fresh

I've been here about 3 times, and the sushi has been good, but not memorable good. It didn't make a bad impression, but didn't make a good impression. One time they sat me and my roommate in this weird room next to the kitchen door, which wasn't a good dining experience. They do have a wide variety of sushi, and you can get one of those fancy giant boats full of sushi. Service was always good, and I've always been seated right away. But seems like a place where people in large groups go after work.

Sharon K.
Good quality, reasonable prices. Fresh tasting sushi made by Japanese sushi chefs. Wait staff very attentive, brought us xtra edamame and took empty plates in a reasonable amount of time . Green tea hot not very strong though.... Wish they had tea pot to leave on table ! Hand rolls fresh and crisp. Here on a Saturday nite- busy but wait not long. Will be back !!

Best sushi place in town. Las Vegas roll never failed me and the freshness is really awesome! Must try this fresh and famous sushi place. Servers and sushi chefs are all nice and fun. Love this place!!

Over-priced for average sushi. I also didn't enjoy smelling ammonia while eating when we were sitting near the kitchen and they were cleaning the kitchen floors. Unappetizing.

The scallop volcano roll and the salmon sushi bomba!! Service is excellent! A definite Burbank hotspot :-)

On one hand, Momotaro is pretty spacious and can also accommodate large groups. This comes in handy for coworkers' birthday lunches since I work nearby. Service is pretty good and they offer a yummy banana tempura & vanilla ice cream dessert for birthdays. There are lots of items on the menu to choose from and some lunch specials that are decently priced. On the other, the food is just alright. The sushi is good enough to get your fill if you're limited to the Burbank area, but I probably won't try too hard to return unless another coworker picks this place for his/her own birthday.

I just had the worst experience at a restaurant! What happened: I over heard the sushi men talking in Korean about us and other tables. I am Korean and speak & understand Korean and English fluently. They chatted OPENLY (our table was right in front of the bar) about how our table and the table next to us ordered so little and how the table next to us was chatting so much. This isn't half of it, but basically they were making fun of their customers. When one of them noticed me staring at them, one said in Korean"She's watching us" and the other replied, "I don't care, it's my store not hers". The waitress came by and I asked in Korean what were the men talking about? Immediately the snickering and gossiping from the sushi men stopped and stared at our direction. So I asked them directly, in Korean, "Were you talking about us?" He just shook his hand and head no and immediately ran to the back kitchen. The waitress started to make excuses and insisted that they weren't talking about us. I will leave their inappropriate behavior due to their drunken state as they were excessively drinking while working. If you are confident that drunk sushi men can prepare and serve you raw fish, please be my guest! It is unfortunate that I need to write this horrible review about my own ethnicity.

I will not go back here again. We ordered multiple items and asked them to bring the miso soup first as it is done at all the other restaurants. It did not happen because they forgot about the soups we ordered. The salad we got had something veryyy bitter in it that was disgusting. I barely swallowed what was in my mouth. We had to ask them 3 times to bring a fork for the salad. The sushi we got was good but not great. I saw 2 of the sushi chefs taking sake shots with the customers. Not professional at all! Time to change management.

The place was cool. Has a nice little vibe. good place or a quick sushi fix. The sushi was good nothing exciting. Portion of rice was ok. A little weak when it comes to the actual sushi. They did however had a roll that was pretty interesting called the Funky Roll. I thought it was great! Service was excellent! Super friendly staff. The only thing I don't like is when I have to ask for things like napkins. And they took away a plate which we didn't tell them to with edamame and it and I wasn't finish. But it was overall good.
(3)
Christian G.
This one is very good for the get off of work go somewhere to get some dinner crowd. I wasn't disappointed with the portions they give here. I find myself thinking with my stomach too much. Seating is never a problem and I love that. I have no problem going here with co workers.

Good sushi but an even better happy hour if you go from 4-6 you can get decent sushi for cheap and beer as well, I also like this place cause I could walk to this location in 10 minutes :)

Came here on a Saturday night, and it was pretty dead. Service was horrible, we even had the busser bring us our sushi. Saw our server one time when he originally took our order. The sushi (albacore, and salmon) were warmer than what it's supposed to be. The seared tuna was horrible. And the baked unagi roll was barely baked. First and last time here. Oh and it seems like they're scared to bring any ginger. They close at 11 and they were cleaning at around 945 already which gets annoying.

I don't come here often, but when I do, I'm here for the most awesome rice bowl. Imagine a clay pot filled with rice, fish eggs, and flaked salmon. Totally awesome right? Okay, I admit...this only works if you like fish eggs. And it's ungodly hot for a really long time...so you may still be blowing on your rice to cool it down as your party wraps up their noms. The few times I've had sushi here was okay...nothing to write home about. The spicy tuna is a bit spicier than I've had at other joints. But otherwise, it satisfies if you're just looking to get your sushi fix.
(5)
Laura D.
I've really been really enjoying Momotaro. The Albacore and garlic roll rocks my world! We walked there last Sunday about an hour before they closed and ended up getting some really nice food. It was all very fresh and the food arrived quickly. We didn't feel rushed out late on a Sunday. I plan on trying to convince my hardcore Octopus friend to try it out. It's nice to have such a decent sushi restaurant within walking distance...of course this is also very dangerous for me!

If you have not been to this hidden gem, you are missing out on some really Fresh sushi. the service is so awesome. the waiting staff is always so welcoming and friendly!! The have a good selection of Saki and beer. Ask for the special, I am not telling what it is, you just have to come check them out.
(5)
Matt R.
Good sushi. Try to get here for happy hour and take advantage of half off rolls and sake. Excellent miso soup. There is something slightly different about it. Super friendly staff and even though this is a Japanese sushi place run by Koreans it beats most places in Burbank that are true Japanese sushi restaurants.

Chris T.
Ughh, it all tasted really good going in. All three of us were sick from the waist down for the rest of the day at work. Sorry for TMI, but it doesn't make for a pleasant afternoon in the office. Won't be back...ever! It was like a Trojan Horse, it all looked wonderful on the outside...but then the devil showed up.

Just came from here and met with the guys. Japanese dark beer was great. The four of us chose quite a variety off the paper Menu. Order came quickly enough and they added a simple desert. We will be going again.

Deliciously fresh sushi and great service! My family and I go there for almost every birthday dinner we have and always order 2 boats and 1 bridge. Plus, the points card allows us to save money!

I've been craving sushi for such a long time but had no idea where to go. I had $50 from restaurant.com that I hadn't used yet and saw that this place accepted their certificates. I went with my 2 friends and we absolutely loved it!! Great service and great food!! We had so much to eat and drink and didn't have to pay an arm and a leg. Even if we didn't have the certificate, we still wouldn't have paid a lot. Definitely coming back!
(5)

Pretty A-OK sushi. Not a place for snobs, just a place to cure a hankering for sushi ( like the way McDonalds cures a hankering for a burger or fries). They are friendly and fine about taking restaurant dot com discounts. The sushi chefs aren't terribly friendly and pretty much want you to communicate with your server and not them. No chefs choice coming out of this kitchen. Fine place. Fine food. Not a mind blowing sushi experience.
(3)
Andrew R.
First time here, great food, all the staff very friendly and efficient! Happy hour deals are great too. Definitely coming back!

Do yourself a favor. Eat someplace else. Is it the worst? No. It is definately not the best either. I went here with a Restaurant.com certificate and will not be returning. There is nothing special about this place. Enough said. Your appetite will thank you if you choose another place. If you choose to go here don't say I did not warn you.

We won $50 gift card to this place and we were pretty excited because we love sushi. We invited our friends and we all went to eat. When we got there we told our waitress Gail that we had a gift card, she asked for the certificate number and got out drinks. We ordered our food, the food was delicious! The service was horrific! We had to literally track Gail down trying to order or get refills. We even had to ask the guy who was waiting on other tables to get refills. We finally got the opportunity to get ask for the check. She then told us we had to spend 12 more dollars. I was confused and had to ask her why she then explained we had to spend 100 dollars to use the gc. I don't mind spending the money but it would of been nice to know upfront. We then ordered 12 dollars worth of food and asked again for the check. She came again and said we had to spend $17 more. I then spoke up and explained what she told us previously and asked her to check again. She came back and said she messed up and gave us our check. We saw that they charged 18% gratuity which I never mind when they charge gratuity when our waitress or waiter deserves it. Gail gave us the worst service I've had. I have another $50 gift card and am debating going back because the service was a nightmare.

Cliff notes: Good food, bad service The location is great (for me) and there's plenty of parking. I've wanted to try this place for a while, because I'm always driving by and curious. I'm a fan of seafood so I try to get my fix at sushi places. We were waived down to a table by the staff towards a place where there were available tables. We found them and sat. It was our first visit here for the both of us so we were mildly entertained by the menu, but after 12 minutes I just had to go hunt down a menu on my own. Funny how this always works out like this...seconds after I return to the table, our server took our drinks orders. In the photos you see we pictures of what we ordered and the itemized receipt. The food was overall very good. The cabbage had some sort of fish smell to it...not the 'fresh seafood' fish smell, but the 'back of a seafood restaurant' smell. The staff attitude was typical of the LA county pretentious, "Im too good to work here" attitude with the glitter of unearned sense of accomplishment. The whole hosting experience and hunt and gather experience with the menu, on top of the oh so subtle sarcastic friendliness of 19 year olds working their relatives business...just really was too much. I could easily have given this place 4 stars for the food if the service was just plain OK, but service is what we eat out for...not just the cooking but the stuff that the waitresses are supposed to earn their tips for. Here's a 'tip' for the staff here...if you really don't care and are going to be brazen about it, don't joke about eating with my fingers when I ask for chopsticks. Trust me, if I wasn't in a good mood, I would have ruined your day with my face to face criticism. We used our gift certificates from restaurant.com and yes they added the 20% tip. Most places dont do that, although it is occasionally a stipulation. This place did. I think Tommy said it best though..."This is your run-of-the-mill Japanese restaurant. It doesn't get any better than this in Burbank, where mediocrity runs rampant. "

My roommate and I come here for sushi pretty frequently. The food is fresh, the service is excellent and the menu is pretty extensive. The parking is plentiful, which is a big plus when most of the parking downtown is always full.

I thought I rated this place already. Guess not. Well, here it is. I've been to many sushi places but I keep coming back to Momotaro. It's a few blocks from my house, has available parking, and if I get there before 5:30pm, there are a few early dinner deals. I also like going for lunch. My daughter loves this place. She is 6 and hard to please. She orders a big bowl of miso soup (hold the onion) and the kids meal with shrimp tempura, rice, fruit. It also comes with potato salad. Not sure why. She doesn't eat it. There is no kids activity menu but she's fine because they play contemporary pop music and with the partitions that separate each table, she feels comfortable dancing away in the aisles until the food comes. (They know her by now) She also loves their sliced cucumbers and edamame that they serve up front. I order the sushi lunch or whatever combo they offer along with a crunch roll or orders of straight up sushi. It's always really delicious and buttery. Momotaro is always a satisfying experience. Can't complain.

I was there last night and was very very packed and the servers were very nice and kind for us to wait couple minutes. I thought the food was gonna come out late but we didn't wait too long and very delicious! !! I love their TCR, HUNGRY Roll, and CRUNCH roll...Their dinner sushi and sashimi was very excellent! !! I DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK SOON!!!^^

Total False advertising! I bought a $40 deal for $100 worth of food. After calling the place. They said they will only accept it if you spend $200. I asked this is false advertising. they said no. So i am telling everyone if you want real sushi and looking not to get ripped off from the begining. Do not Go here. COMPLETE SCAM. also the girl on the phone was very rude and said "like it or Not, this is what it is" Usually i can tell from the yelp reviews before i buy a Deal. But this one is a complete Scam. DO NOT GO!

Service and food and extras are always top notch. I have been going to Momotaro's since the week it opened and have been back nearly weekly since. I'm guessing that's been about 12 years. Some sushi restaurants can boast they are the best at this or that, and I've been eating sushi for 35 years, but overall you can't go wrong with Momotaro.

I like Japanese food and I thought I have tried them all. This place has a very unique twist to their dish, which I am very much enjoying. Very friendly environment and helpful staff. One of my favorite restaurants in Burbank.

Definitely a fan of this place. Usually start with a hand roll - spicy tuna and then a selection of cut rolls. Especially like rolls with the crunch. The eel sauce is also very good here. Here is a tip for all of you who like a real Wasabi "rush". Instead of simply using the green wasabi paste you are normally given, ask for fresh Wasabi - you will never use anything else again.

This is a great neighborhood sushi joint if you just want to get your grub on and you are not a sushi snob. More traditional sushi lovers can still find a good amount of food to your liking but if you want rolls and your in Burbank...this is your go to! They have a slew of other Japanese-ish dishes but me and the lady stick to the Karage (Fried Chicken), Seaweed Salad, Salmon Sushi (almost always the freshest), Spicy Tuna hand rolls some miso soup and we are out! They have two types of happy hour: a regular (3-5:30pm on weekdays) and an EXTREME happy hour. Try to make the regular one (almost impossible) as the latter is not as extreme as it sounds. Enjoy!

1. Great Service. 2. Never a wait to be seated 3. Addicted to the sashimi salad

One of the decent place to get some sushi in glendale. Way Better than wakano or kabuki. Their sushi is Good and they use pretty good quality fish. Not a place to do sake bomb or for sashimi but rather some sushi and rolls!!

Eeekkkk... the quality of this place has really gone down over the past few years. I mean Momotaro was never a place where I expected the best of the best sushi, but it was better than chain restaurant Kabuki. I came here for a birthday dinner with my family. The service was slow in an almost empty restaurant. We had to ask for our own plates and soy sauce dishes. When we finally got our sushi, the raw pieces of salmon and yellowtail were not buttery smooth, they were kind of chewy and tough to break down. Not what I expect in a piece of raw fish. I guess I'll have to look for somewhere new in Burbank to buy sushi again.

First let's clear the Restaurant.com Gift Certificate thing: If you have $100.00 of Restaurant.com gift certificate you need to spend $200 on food items BEFORE taxes and tips in order for your 100 off applies. And now the food: Love it! Lobster roll is bursting with lobster meat! Glenoaks roll is perhaps my favorite, but like any other sushi places, there's always something for everyone to like, and Glenoaks Roll happens to be that one that hit the right taste bud spot for me. Every roll and entre and appetizer my group ordered were spot on! Service is great too. We stopped by on a random Saturday night and the place was packed! We had to wait a few minutes to be seated and that's a good thing it means not a lot of "frozen fish" is involved in the roll making. We had kids in tow and they were very accommodating with our requests (for kid-friendly chopsticks). We're definitely coming back to this "hole in the wall" place. It is really situated in an unusual spot in Burbank - away from all the eateries and restaurants and closer to gas stations and car repair shops... but it really does not matter at night because the place just shines like a gem in the middle of it all, plus there are non of the pretentious crowd / diners (except for me) due to the location of this small yet yummy food-serving Sushi eatery.

Do not go to this place. I took my boyfriend here last night for his 25th birthday, so it was a big deal. It was my treat. The bill came to $58 and change so I left 4 $20's hoping to get back change to leave a tip. I got $1 and change. I asked about my other $20. They swore they only got 3 $20's. My boyfriend watched me put down 4 $20's because he noted that it was expensive for this place (I didn't let him look at the tab.) Someone either stole $20 from me or they really are just that incompetent. Either way, I won't be going back. It was the most awkward thing that could happen at a dinner, and my boyfriend was more upset leaving than if we'd stayed home. Also, all the rolls had that cheap imitation crab filler. It's lazy.

Wasn't a fan. For $20 their chirashi bowl does include soup and salad, but miso soup isn't hard to do and their salad was kind of meh. The fish itself didn't taste fresh to me at all. I was slightly grossed out by it. It seems that rolls reign supreme here but I'm not really into rolls so admittedly it's not a place for me. Lots of old white people here, if that tells you anything.

Came here after I was told it would take 40 minutes at Zono Sushi for a sashimi salad TO GO! I found Momatoro and called in my order went in 10 minutes later and it was ready. Really friendly staff and yummy salad! Thanks guys will be back for more!

Momotaro is a good place to get sushi but the wait times can be a little long at times and the staff is a bit young and inattentive. I walked in with my family and was told it would just be a minute. We stood there are they seated others before us and forgot about us so we walked out and went to another place. While this happened only once, we can say that the servers have daydreamed more than once before when we were waiting for food to come out. The parking is ample, the food is satisfactory, the ambiance is great, and the prices are average. There isn't anything on the menu that draws me back repeatedly. I wish they would focus more on service because the location and parking is perfect to support a booming business.

We love love love our neighborhood sushi bar. Servers are fun and attentive. All rolls are delish. Try the Bloody Mary Roll!! Or sexy roll is also a fave.

Halfway through my meal at Momotaro, I realized that I was eating a meal that was just about like 95% of all Japanese meals I've ever had in a restaurant. I had the chef's selection of sushi, which consisted of shrimp, tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and halibut, along with a 6-piece tuna roll. For most people, you can close your eyes and know exactly what that tastes like. Now, normally this isn't bad, but there are two marks working against Momotaro: first, the prices are high. Maybe not highway robbery bad, but enough to discourage me from ever returning. When I throw down $16 with tax and tip and leave hungry, I'm usually a little bitter about the experience. That goes doubly so when I go into a small Japanese restaurant on Glenoaks Boulevard in Burbank, where I'm expecting some cheap eats. I'm willing to confess that part of this might be my own preconceptions of a Japanese place coming to bear on a Yelp rating, but I don't expect to pay the same prices for food in a place that's off of the side of a major road in Burbank (one that share turf with auto repair centers and hamburger places) as I do with a place downtown or in the heart of Old Town Pasadena. Momotaro isn't bad, but it's not any better than any other run-of-the-mill Japanese place, and it's more expensive and in an area not known for its ambiance or quaint mood. Take that for what you will.

Ã’ur only to go place for Sushi. We are treated like the king and the queen at momotaro's. You're fisrt served with Free yummy warming Miso soup, and a bowl of fresh edamame. Any other plc, charges $4.5 for little edamame, and $3 for miso. Rolls are huge and deelish, servers give us smile all the time, you know why? Because I smile at them ALL the time. I actually look at them in the eye and ask them how they are doing genuinely. Ppl need to smile more, and then expect to be treated better! We have gotten so many free desserts from the owner, sometimes Albacore belly sashimis from the chef. Not to forget the free Sapporos. The owner is a nice lady with more than average mind for good business. Something that %98 of the restaurant business owners lack here in L.A. Chef Steve sends us free saki shots,. We spend about $50-$70 on average nights. We visit about 2ice / mo. There has been no place in the entire southern Cali. that we had loved so much when it comes down to Japanese food. We crave for Momotaro's food often. And I am an international foodie, and a cook. So this review isn't from your average youngster, I actually know what is worth spending your money on.

I love this place, it's been my go-to sushi place since 2006! I admit, I live walking distance from it so that factors in. I've probably been here over 50 times. The sushi is awesome and the people are friendly, what more can you ask for?

Pretty good. We go here when we're meeting friends in Burbank because they like it. Seems a bit pricey for what you get. Service and atmosphere are good though.

My friend and I came here for lunch because we were both craving some sushi (it's all I've been wanting to eat lately). I liked the decorative wall behind the sushi chefs, it is an instant attention grabber. We were seated in a corner of the restaurant, which was a bit unfortunate because the decorative walls around us sort of boxed us in. I guess it could be considered romantic in a way for couples that come to eat there, but we just felt sectioned off. Although, right after we were seated, we were served some edamame, and when we ate it all, they brought more which was awesome. I ordered the tofu steak and vegetable roll lunch special that was served with soup, salad and rice. My friend ordered the crunchy roll and the chicken teriyaki roll. My vegetable roll was your traditional vegetable roll, avocado, carrot, cucumber, asparagus and sprouts. My tofu steak was tempura fried and served with coleslaw, potato salad, some fruit and dumplings. My friends crunch roll was made up of shrimp tempura and crab and crusted with tempura. Her chicken teriyaki roll was just that, some chicken teriyaki stuffed into a sushi roll. She said that her crunch roll could have been a little more crunchy - maybe serve the sauce on the side? She also said that the nori inside was a little hard to chew. On her chicken teriyaki roll, she wasn't too thrilled about the amount of cucumber inside the roll. Overall, the value of this place is amazing! The amount of food you get for the price is just insane. (I mean, like an entire chicken breast plus the roll underneath just for $7.99? Crazy). So if you're hungry, like REALLY hungry, this is a good place to come and eat.

I loved this place! Their sushi is legit and so is their miso soup. It is perfect, not to salty. We spent about $35 a person for dinner; we got 5 rolls, miso soup, salad and two drinks. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Love it!!!

Had to update. So Momotaro and I went on a break, I tried some other sushi places in a valley. Found a few that I liked but I missed this place so I returned with a friend. I'm thrilled I did because the quality has improved again in my absence. I have no idea why it made me sick for a while but now I have gone at least eight times and no food poisoning on my part. Oh and I've always received good service here. They aren't always up your ass but whenever I ask for anything I'm always served with a smile. Plus there's this adorable waitress there that encourages sake bombs and is such a sweetheart. I love her. Getting back together feels so right.

I love their sushi. Good place to order from, fast, very friendly, and the sushi is yummy. I love stopping here for a quick sushi bite it is however a little crowed at night so I prefer to order and pick up instead. Either way the service is great. :)

Yum. We got the spicy tuna and spicy scallop handrolls...both were really yummy and fresh. The loster roll was delish! The albacore sushi was really good to, but didn't seem to have any garlicky sauce on it like some other sushi places have. Loved it, will go again.

I used to come here frequently when I lived across the street. Great food and great service. This is the place I recommend for Sushi in Burbank. Some items are expensive, but overall worth it. I have to say, try all the stuff on the menu. It's well worth it.

After driving past this place numerous times, we FINALLY caved and decided to give this place a try. We should have just let the mystery saga continue because the service was bad and the food even worse! Prices are definitely too high for the quality of food, I'd rather go to Yoshinoya or pick something ip from the frozen section of a grocery store. Thanks for nothing Momotaro :(

Service is iffy at times. But I pretty much love this place for its sushi! They have the most amazing TCR roll ( tuna on crispy rice) Katsuya got nothing on them! This is so worth the price & filling! Crunch roll, Crunchy scallop roll & Calamari roll are my other favs... Tempura cheesecake is pretty good too. They have happy hour M-F 3-7 I always get an order of the calamari $5.95 yumm! (happy hour) I have never gotten sick here either.. very fresh! Parking in the back.

Mindi F.
A friend and I went during happy hour. Prices were excellent. I'm no sushi snob, and I'm OK with that. So, the sushi suited me just fine! Nothing was remarkable, perhaps, but it was all tasty. Servers were a little hover-y, but it wasn't a bad thing. They were just bored, I suspect. I'll go here again sometime! The atmosphere is a little...eh...but it's not meant to be high-brow, clearly. Parking is easy. I love easy parking. LOVE it. And their menu has lots of helpful pictures, by the way.

I went to Momotaro the other night to try a new sushi place and had a great time. The service was fantastic! Our server and the rest of the staff were friendly, attentive and genuine. They had a great selection to chose from and the prices were not astronomical. My friend was a little hesitant in trying the raw fish adn to be honest I hadn't tried much myself, however they brought out a sample of tuna on their own accord. Very nice and delicious! The fish is fresh and the atmosphere fun. I will definately be back, because I have a new favorite sushi place in Burbank.

Barring just one off-night, I can say that the other 100 times we have been to this place have been excellent. It's the best sushi in the neighborhood. I would recommend anything on the menu - there are no misses and I've tried them all.

I've got NO love...ZERO... for Momotaro...it's just one of many sushi places just like it that serve less than market-grade sushi. To start WHAT IS UP with that nasty gunk that they try to pass off as salad dressing? It looks like brown apple sauce...and the taste...YUCK! Someone needs to clue these people to the fact that you just can't put anything on a salad that looks like vomit. I had tried Momotaro a few years ago for a supposed "all you can eat" lunch special where you have to order all your "all you can eat" sushi in advance. If you guessed wrong about what you thought you could eat and you had leftovers, you were charged for it...hence not truly "all you can eat". Today, someone in our group wanted to try it again, so we did...what a mistake! Everyone remarked how "not fresh and stringy" the fish was. The teriyaki was okay, but nothing special (actually the teriyaki at Tokyo Yakitori across the street is better). In all we each got a lunch special and a hot tea and it came to $20 per person. None too cheap for crap sushi. Service was decent, but can't make up for the lack of freshness.

Nope. Not worth it at all. This is the kind of place where you are FORCED to add eel sauce and spicy mayo to even attempt to make the fish taste good. It's hard to go wrong with a spicy tuna roll but ... yuck.
(1)
Tonya L.
I like to go to this place for Sushi Happy Hour...It truly does make me happy. Spicy Tuna Rolls are $3.50 and the fish is good. I might have to flag down someone to fill an ice tea glass or bring more pickled ginger, but when I ask, it comes quickly and with a smile. Yep, this place is the happiest Happy Hour in Burbank, if you ask me...

This place was good! We decided on it last night for a late dinner and was happy with the food and service. They have many chef's specialty rolls that look amazing including the Burbank roll and the Walt Disney roll. The Calamari roll was very nice a good amount of fried squid rings atop a california type roll. Also the fresh water eel dragon roll was fresh and delicious. 2 rolls very satisfying and the price wasn't bad.
(3)
Tommy L.
This is your run-of-the-mill Japanese restaurant. It doesn't get any better than this in Burbank, where mediocrity runs rampant. A few outstanding items from the menu: the calamari, the soy paper sushi and the dragon roll. Other than that, I highly recommend sticking with Sawtelle Blvd for your sushi cravings.

Very tasty. Returned for dinner last night, July 19th, and it was great. Ordered a smoked salmon and cream cheese roll, so good. Also had a spicy tuna roll covered with fried calamari, delicious. The Sexy Roll was pretty good if you're a fan of spicy crab. Service was quick and very attentive. I'll be back.
(4)
Mark S.
Great sushi for a pretty reasonable price. They've got great happy hour deals as well. I often need to get a few different rolls because places can sometimes make them a little small, but one of the specialty rolls here definitely filled me up. They even had a Yelp special if you checked in!

Yummy, Sashimi Combo!! Fish were fresh and tasty!! Service was exactly and professional. Miso soup was actually served temperature hot vs. other are generally room temp. Big portion... excellent price. Wouldn't mind going back there again.

The only reason I went to Momotaro was because I had purchased a $25 gift card for $6 on restaurants.com . The service wasn't the best in the world and the sushi was decent. If you decide to go to Momotaro, try the Ichiban Roll. My bill was $47 for 2 people and when I used my $25 gift card the total came out to $37. I honestly don't understand the logic in that. There's so many better sushi places to eat in Burbank, so I'd recommend scoping out something on San Fernando.

I have been coming here since it opened and it one of the best sushi restaurants I've eaten at. The staff is friendly and Steve is the best, he will pound beers with you on happening Fridays.

I should have taken a hint when we walked in and my niece plugged up her nose and my nephew started screaming bloody murder (apologies to the people on their lunch break). Being the stubborn person that I am, I insisted we eat lunch here. My niece was right, it stunk on many levels. Since I couldn't eat actual sushi when I went, my mum and I ordered the bento box - bleeekkkhh. My steak was fatty, my miso tasted like ocean and my salad was pretty much doused in garlic dressing (that burned my taste buds rendering them useless). My sister made faces at her sashimi as she ate them. It's like she was forced to eat her own skin (sorry, directly translated from Arabic). I got the kids udon and they ate it, sort of. So, I'll give them that much. The only nice thing was the waitress gave my niece and nephew some sushi-shaped lollipops to keep them quite. It worked. Thank you. But I will not be returning to this place, which sucks since it's like four blocks from my house. Oh, well. Stink ya later, Momotaro.

I came here after work during the week one day STARVING! My friends and I planned to meet here earlier in the week, so I was looking forward to some good sushi. The outside of the restaurant is deceiving. The paint looks sort of old, and the parking lot was pretty empty, but inside was a whole different story! Very nice and clean. The waitstaff was super friendly and the food was brought out to our table super quick after placing the order! Their prices were pretty good as well. I ordered a huge meal of course, that included two eight piece sushi rolls, miso soup, and a salad for $13?! It all was fresh, not fishy smelling, and delicious! I would totally recommend this place to anyone who lives in the Burbank area. The only negative note I have about Momotaro was getting our bill paid for. It took our waitress kind of a long time to give us our check after we were clearly done eating, and then even longer to process it all. It might have seem longer than what is really was because we were late to a play ;) Great place!!!

Best Sushi Bar Ever. My family and I have been going to Momotaro sushi since it opened. We have twin 11 year old Daughters who love sushi. Their first sushi experience was at Momotaro when they were about 5 or 6 years old. Whether your with the family or taking your wife for sushi, this is the place! This restaurant is family owned and they take great pride in serving the freshest and best tasting sushi.

We were greeted with friendly service at this casual sit-down restaurant and were pleased with the great sushi options. Our party of 7 ordered a variety of sushi and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Our crowd favorites included the crazy spicy tuna roll and the Glenoaks roll.

Momotaro is a quick-fix for almost decent sushi. I feel that the rolls are TOO big and that's kinda nasty, not quite the single bite affair sushi is meant to be. Toppings fall off and I really hate biting rolls in half, it destroys the remaining piece. Momotaro is consistent in it's mediocrity and I always feel semi-satisfied and regretful for coming here. There are 2 rolls I do enjoy here. The TCR (tuna crispy rice) which is a piece of cream cheese sanwiched in rice the deep-fried. Topped with chopped tuna, eel sauce and a slice of jalapeño. I just kinda dig it because it reminds me of something similar at a better sushi restaurant. Their "sexy roll" is krab salad and salmon held together with cucumber. Refreshing but too big. I stay away from sushi here. I've only seen it served and those slices of fish are HUGE.

K E.
I love momotaro. They have so many choices of sushi roll. I think I've tried most of them and all of them are delicious! The actual dinner plate where you choose 2 options is 15.95... a bit pricey but it comes in big portion so it's well worth it. The staff is wonderful and they all know my family and I. Sad to say that only one sushi guy is left that I know :( I wish all the others didn't leave!

My wife and I decided to give momotaro another chance and we were very disappointed. Food tasted bad and was way to expensive for what it was. Better off going to Sushi Joint.

This place has a great happy hour. Half off beers and certain rolls. We go here often. If you go with a large group you can get 3 specialty rolld and the 4th is a dollar. Id say its more fun for a family than when meeting up with friends if you go at dinner.

This is my go to place for sushi in Burbank. It's Korean owned so on the menu they have stuff like Bulgogi and Galbi which is kinda cool if you dont want to drive to K-town but need a quick fix. They have a TON of westernized rolls that are SUPER TASTY but my favorite thing to get is the grilled SABA - its killer. It can get crazy since they are one of the few places that stay open til 10p on weekdays. Definitely worth checking out!
(3)
Michelle A.
I ordered take out and paid while I waited at the Sushi Bar. No one even offered me water. Super bad service. And the sushi is mediocre. They charge too much for the quality of the food. Won't go back to this place and should have just gone to Sansai by the Burbank Airport which has way better food and more affordable!

Momotaro Rocks! Boyfriend and I ate dinner there Sunday evening before embarking on the long roadtrip back to the bay area. We were seated and immediately brought water, edamame and a delicious cucumber sunomono salad. FREE, mind you, and Sara is always impressed by free ;) I'm sorry but seriously, especially when restaurants charge $4ish for edamame it's sweet to get it complimentary! Anywho, we ordered two sushi rolls and unagi nigiri (OMGSOGOOD), followed by a DELICIOUS chocolate raspberry gelato dessert. That we, obviously, couldn't pass up! Everything was served promptly and the food was incredible. We left happy, satisfied and ready for our 6 hour drive!

Been here a few times, but the last time was the last. Typical "korean" service. Group of 8, sitting at a table during lunch time, had to flag down the waitress multiple times. long story short, we only tipped $1 each, waitress meets us outside and has the audacity to say "it's customary to tip at least 10%." TIP IS NOT CUSTOMARY! Tip reflects the service given to patrons. The 2 star would be for previous times sitting at the bar and ordering direct from the sushi guys. This review is circa 2004 when I last ate there.

It's the best sushi joint in the area. The beef domburi is good too, it's our go to japanese restaurant. Fire roll and garlic & albacore roll are very delicious and fresh.

Okay so on my "date night" I wanted to have some sushi but didn't' want to go to Kabuki's and I remembered this place from all the times I always drove past, so we decided to go in. First off the ambiance is very cute and private and secluded. The staff is overwhelming attentive. They do have a sushi bar as you walk in if that's all your craving and the prices are very reasonable. As we sat at our secluded table the menu is very extensive and the prices are extensive as well. I decided to order the salmon teriyaki, which I appreciated the fact the teriyaki was on the side and not on the salmon, the meal came with miso soup and a salad, and the salmon was cooked all the way Thur but not dry at all. My boyfriend ordered the miso ramen and it was so good, I will be returning just to have that, now for the sushi. I ordered the lobster roll, which basically was cooked mushrooms and onions with lobster on top of a California roll and for dessert with had a 3 layered sorbet of raspberry, chocolate and pistachio, they don't deliver but you can order for pickup.

Great Burbank sushi, definitely waaaay better then most choices in town. Wide variety of rolls and the cuts of sushi are generous and always taste fresh. Crazy Spicy Tuna Roll! Also, how can a Sushi Roll be too big?? They know what they are doing. One roll and a couple pieces of sushi are definitely a filling meal.

Kerilyn K.
This place is good for Americanized sushi. Lots of flashy, over-priced rolls with inappropriate eel sauce and spicy mayo on everything. My boyfriend (who is white) absolutely loves this place. The rolls taste very good, but if you're looking for the traditional sushi experience, this is not the place for you. I took my parents here for my dad's birthday last week and we sat at the sushi bar (my first time here). It was very difficult to order as the sushi chefs were so busy making sushi for the tables that they completely forgot about us. We would order something, eat it, and then wait and wait and wait trying to get someone's attention to order our next thing. I guess the way to do it here is to order everything you want at once, but then what's the point of sitting at the bar instead of a table? So skip the sushi bar if the restaurant is busy. Otherwise it will take you hours to get fed. They have a happy hour where certain items are half-priced. I have never gone, but I saw the menu and it looks decent. Just the basics. So if you're looking for awesome Americanized rolls, this is a great place. They have some innovative, novel and beautiful creations. If you want the traditional stuff, you'll need to move along to the next joint.
(3)
Moto M.
If you are a traditional sushi lover, Momotaro is not the place for you. I give this place 1 star only because the sushi was a bit too avant garde for me. I question any sushi restaurant's credibility when they prepare sushi like they do. It's not that the food is inedible, it's just not supposed to be called sushi. Most of their rolls are for show. They're trying to win over their customers with the WOW factor. That only last for so long. Almost every roll we ordered got the same "sauce and mayo" treatment. As long as you drench the food with "sauce and mayo" everything is A-OK. I don't mind sauce and mayo, but it's way too much. I can't taste the fish! Sorry, but not returning.

Is Momotaro the absolute best sushi you can get in town? Hell no. But it's just fine for me. I work in Burbank, and the pickings for lunch are slim. (I'm on that bullshit 30 minute lunch break.) I found Momotaro on a Yelp search for something other than my Chipotle fix. The people who work here are definitely chill, and the chefs are super fast - when I order for pick up, my lunch is ready in less than fifteen minutes. I usually go for one of their roll combos, which is a specialty roll with soup, salad, and your choice of California or spicy tuna roll. The fish itself is decent, it's definitely not Nozawa-grade amazing, but it'll do for stuffing my face while I'm working at the computer. I haven't tried anything other than their rolls, but I'm sure the entrees are worth giving a shot.

Go here all the time not because it is conveniently close but because it is by far the best Sushi restaurant around. Great environment, great service, great great sushi, great prices....great experience time and time again. It keeps it simple and does it brilliantly. I don't need sauces on everything. I don't need frills....I want quality and I do every time at Momotaro. Awesome.

I have been there about 5 times so far and it is quickly becoming my sushi place of choice. The yellowtail sashimi is always fresh. The Miso is some of the best that i have ever had! The sushi chefs are friendly and begin to know your taste and can make great recommendations. It is a pretty typical menu. I always leave there full and happy that I went.

Korean-owned, very friendly service, great sushi at reasonable prices. Me and my friends came here during lunch hour at work to celebrate one of our friend's birthday, we had about 5-6 orders and the bill was $13 for each split 5 ways (we were a 6-people party) When we said that it was our friend's birthday, they quickly offered us free fried banana with ice cream dessert which was about $5.95 (if I'm not mistaken) and it was pretty good... So, I think I'll come back here again, even though it is not as cheap as sushi mac, but, the service really was great...

Very good food for the right price! I loved that your "booth" is more private and secluded. I wasn't too fond of the gold caterpillar roll, but the scallop volcano roll was amazing! If you order 3 rolls the 4th one is only 99 cents! We took it to go. The staff is amazing and always there when you need them! Amazing desert too! Used the 10% off and they loved that i heard about them from Yelp! (more reviews the better) =)

One of my favorite places :) besides everything chicken teriyaki roll is very goooood :)

The food here is not very good at all. The sushi was close to inedible. I started to gag after eating a couple pieces of a spicy tuna roll, because the fish didn't taste fresh. On top of that, the roll was not made very well either. Chicken teriyaki is made with very dark meat- not the best quality. Service was fine. The place seems quite outdated and I wouldn't necessarily say dirty but does not have a clean type of feel. Skip this one, folks!

Bad service. Took forever to get our check. Sushi was warm. Lobster roll was really good though.

they have changed the menu a bit since the last time I went. but most importantly the quality of the unagi has gone down. very fatty skin, doesn't taste good. they have many attractive looking rolls on the menu though.

I WOULD give this place three stars, but... There's a guy there who I have complained about to both a waiter and others; he irritates the daylights out of me. He's the guy who cleans up your plates and what not while you're waiting for the next round of when you're done completely. Usually when I go to this place it's to have some quiet time. I don't want to be rude, but I really don't want to talk a whole lot. I go alone because I want to be alone. This guy, jeez, I don't know what it is. He CONSTANTLY has to talk. About...hmmm...oh, I don't know...EVERYTHING!...Obama, McCain, Iraq. My God. I just want peace and quiet. Sometimes at least. And besides, how does he know I agree with his perspective? I don't assume people agree with mine! I sent him non-verbal clues that I don't want to talk, and don't want him to hit on me, blah blah blah but it doesn't work. He just liiiiiiiiingers endlessly and makes my life miserable. So, I've stopped going. Thing is, I TOLD THEM I'd stop coming if they didn't take care of it, and they didn't take care of it. So, shockingly, I stopped going. I guess this place is good if you're with a group or you're alone but a guy. Otherwise, ladies, if you're just looking to have a quiet meal on your own...don't bother. The food is solid. Fresh, tasty, etc. They provide generous amounts of wasabi which I like (I'm usually having to beg for more) and they have the basics priced reasonably. But this guy. Man. Two stars. I just want to eat in peace.

Food was good, sushi was really yummy. I ordered oysters and I am very picky about my oysters! They were pretty decent, but had a strange taste, I guess they were a different "breed" of oysters haha, but they were HUGE and had lots of meat, so I give that an A-OK. Service was nice and if you check in you get a free drink!

OMG, the first thing i noticed walking in there was this funky ass fishy, garbage kind of smell that lingered throughout the whole time i was just eating there today. their place seems chill, nice space, clean, friendly staff, but food's mediocre.

The food was very bad. The sushi bar chefs werent even japenese and the rolls they served werent fresh cuts at all. It was overpriced and tasted terrible. If you go here, don't get sushi because the fish is not fresh at all and the rolls/sushi they make are terrible. The fish had the weirdest texture and everything about that place was unpleasant. If you want good sushi don't go here stick with downtown glendale.

Ok I had to update my review. I have been to Momotaro at least 7 times since my review and it only gets better. I LOVE the sushi chefs and the service. I am happy every time I go there!

Momotaro has been delicious every time I've visited here. I usually sit at the bar, so I can't vouch for table service...but at the bar, the chefs and wait staff are very attentive. The nigiri sushi is about average price and comparable to other sushi restaurants. However, the portions of fish they serve up are huge! Also, every time I've eaten here, the sushi chef has given me extra free sashimi to compliment my nigiri order...very impressive. The rolls aren't cheap and the variety could be better. I notice a lot of the same ingredients in many of the rolls. I am giving Momotaro 4-stars because the sushi has always been great quality and generously portioned every visit. The rolls could be more creative though.

I liked this place. My boyfriend and I are both vegetarian, so we were both happy to see vegetarian sushi and other options on the menu. We had fried tofu, and a meal of sushi and veggie tempura. Our meal was under 20.00 and the service was quick and friendly.

Got here and found out they have happy hour.. The food was alright, but i wish he would tell me that the happy hour menu portions are kids size. STAY AWAY FROM THE SCALLOP ROLL. It tasted WAY too fishy for my taste bud's comfort.

This cheap neighborhood eatery...ain't so cheap for what you get: average, adequately prepared cuisine; middling to mediocre service (the waitresses disappear sporadically into the back); a somehow tawdry ambience; and a crowd of local residents obviously slumming it. It's OK if you just want a no-duss, no-muss meal and don't mind paying a little more than almost any other comparable restaurant within a 2-mile radius. In fact, they almost make it to 3-stars in my book because of the excellent, spacious parking and easily accessible location. But there's cheaper and better -- and more atmospheric -- restaurants in the nearly downtown Burbank area, or just down the street.

2.5 stars. the freshness in their fish quality has gone down, hence the stars dropping. it was never the best, but at least good enough for a quick sushi-fix... now, not even that :( maybe ill be forgiving and return one day to see if things have improved...

We heard about Momotaro through a Restaurant.com offer ($25 off of a min. purchase of $40), we ordered the green mussel deluxe appetizer (it was good), the momotaro roll (very delicious), the fire roll (very delicious), and the sashimi salad meal (can't remember exact name, but it was very delicious! The sauce & dressing were delicious & the sashimi was very fresh & great quality). We enjoyed the green tea, and also the complimentary edamame. Overall, we were very pleased with the quality of the food & fish, and next time we'll order the green mussels (not the deluxe, though they were good, but it had way too much imitation crab), the service was great! The waitresses were very helpful & very friendly. We were pleased with our dining experience & will definitely be returning!

I totally loved this place. I'm usually a creature of habit so I never try anything new but my boyfriend convinced me to try this place. The sushi was super yummy and the service was great. the only reason it doesn't get a 5 ouyt of 5 is because the sushi took soooooooo long to make and there was hardly anyone there that night! Otherwis this place rocks!

Food is okay. if you decide to eat here, make sure you call in and get take out. service is extremely slow and sometimes rude. ate there last night for the last time. our appetizer came out 15 minutes after we had finished our dinner. i wouldnt say anything if it happened once in awhile but this has been the 3rd consecutive time. pretty ridiculous.

I went to eat here with Holly for the second time and can't say I'm particularly impressed. The gold caterpillar roll was decent, but the eel flavor didn't really come through. I like rolls with soy paper, but this was not wrapped tightly and was not great. The last time we went we got the lobster roll, which was NOT good. The lobster was chewy and overall the roll was not tasty. It was quick to get a seat, parking was easy (they have a lot), and the atmosphere is not bad - but the sushi was not worth the trip.

It's so nice to have a really good sushi place in the neighborhood. We walk there a couple times a week because it's that good. It's not too expensive, they give complimentary edamame and the sushi is just straight up good. My only criticism is that the service is a little inconsistent. It can be really fast or it can be REALLY slow. It depends on where they seat you.

I've gone to this place for lunch and everyone enjoys their rolls. The specialty rolls are really big and it's always fun to share lots of different kinds.

Good sushi for the price. The sushi might not blow you away, but you won't leave hungry and you won't dent your wallet too much. Good for groups, and especially families.

Well, this is a Korean-owned Japanese restaurant. That means they have dolsot bibimbap on the menu and the meat they use for sukiyaki was originally prepared probably more like bulgogi. However, the only part of the sukiyaki that came out okay was the broth. (I'm sure my Japanese friend would think it's too sweet, but, Korean-owned Japanese restaurants usually make sukiyaki broth too sweet.) The meat -- I don't know what they did to it. Normally, it's a no-brainer: add bulgogi meat to cook in it if it's a Korean-Japanese restaurant. But, my beef was not only hard to chew (very difficult to accomplish for that level of thinness) but had soaked up absolutely no flavor. The noodles had been overcooked and had clumped together in one big lump in the bowl. And there was less napa than there was onion pieces. My friend got two different kinds of specialty rolls (one of them was the momotaro roll). He lives in the area and goes there often. I have no idea how good/poor the sushi bar is. I'll have to go back and try it, myself. But, the sushi chefs are definitely Korean (could hear them speaking). They have lunch specials around $8-10 which are valid even on the weekend. Plenty of parking. Green tea costs a buck. Extra anything cost anywhere from 75 cents more or a buck more.

I waited to revisit here again to review it since even though I only live a couple blocks away I rarely have time to come here..From what I remember of my past visits, the food was great. I remember I came here once for a birthday party and we ordered 5 of those boats and OMG! SO much food...and thou we all pigged out we still took home several boxes of left overs... More recently, I came here for lunch with my grandpa. We got there right before the lunch crowd so it was kinda deserted but within 20 mins the place was packed with co-workers (probably from the office building half a block away). We both selected Benito boxes: delicious! The sashimi was so fresh it melted in my mouth (i love you melty tuna...). We also ordered the samurai roll which was huge! I mean ridiculously big. I'm from the school that roll pieces should be eaten in one bite and I had some trouble getting it all down in one (that's what she said..). Is we were so full we ended up taking practically the whole roll home to my mom, who was delighted by this giant roll for lunch. The staff was friendly (one in particular was a very chatty man who cleared our table while chatting to me about his own grandson) and I will definitely to making more of an effort to come here again soon.

It's alright. I think their prices went up a little and lunch isn't as affordable as it used to be.

Miso soup was standard, but good. They brought out edamame (also standard but fine) and pickled cucumbers which my husband hated but I actually really liked. We got about 4 different rolls -- A spicy tuna with salmon which was delicious, an eel roll with avocado (I think) which had a little too much of the salty soy-like sauce but was tasty underneath that, and a rainbow roll, which was yum. Also a California roll that came with a platter that my husband ordered, but it was artificial crab (which I don't like near as much as real crab) and I found it too sweet. Our waitress was a little spacey and forgot part of our order, but another employee got it taken care of for us. Overall everyone there was friendly and the atmosphere was nice.

I've been back here a few times since I originally wrote my review and it seems the quality has gone down considerably. It's definitely not nearly as good as the first time and doesn't compare to some of the other places in the area. It's good for a cheap quick bite of mediocre "trendy" sushi, but not much else in my opinion.
(3)
Ap N.
The rolls are too big here, and just a little sloppy for me. I can't speak on the rest of the sushi, as all I had were the rolls, but just not my taste.

I thoughts the service was pretty good! There is this sushi man named Steve, I think that was his name, he's a great chef! He was funny and fast! The food was pretty good. The fish was fresh and they were not stingy with their sushi portions. Try the crazy spicy tuna roll! It truly was crazy and spicy!

I ordered the Sukiyaki and was not happy. I even let the other people i was with taste it and my brother even said it tasted like warm coca cola with beef, which totally describes it. Pretty nasty stuff. MOMOTARO IS SUCKATARO. stay away!

My wife says this is a good lunch spot. Unfortunately, we went for dinner on a busy Friday night. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. We both ordered combos and I had sushi (6 pieces) in mine. It came out so fast I was concerned it had been sitting around for a while. Not what I want to be thinking as I dig into raw fish. It was tolerable. I don't see the need to go back.

Gave this place a second chance. Not a place I think of when it comes to sushi. If you're looking for a deal based on how much you want to save, then this place might be worth it. Not a place for me.

My family and I have been going to momotaro since they opened! The food is great and the owners are wonderful. Very family friendly which in not usually the cause in a sushi restaurant I find. Also there prices are pretty reasonable especially if you go during the day.

After passing by Momotaro every single day, I finally made the two minute walk down the street to sample their sushi. The boy and I tried: - The Burbank Roll: tempura shrimp roll topped with spicy tuna. Didn't blow me away, but I still gobbled up half an order. - The TCR: spicy tuna on crispy rice, topped with a slice of jalapeno and eel sauce. The mound of spicy tuna on top was super tall, and the crispy rice was actually crispy - unlike the crispy rice I recently had at Katsu-ya. Great juxtaposition of texture. Eel sauce made it a bit sweet... - Spicy Salmon Roll - with avocado added. Somehow the sushi chef forgot to make this one spicy, so it was just a salmon roll with avocado. We also had some good ol' standbys - California Roll, Albacore and Salmon sashimi. All pretty good, but nothing remarkable. I had a handkering for something fried, so I had an order of mixed tempura. It came to our table quickly - and it was huge! The mound included two tempura shrimp, japanese squash, onion, mushrooms, sweet potato, green beans, carrot, and my tempura nemesis - broccoli. Good, not great. The dipping sauce could have used a bit of help. Service was pretty consistent about keeping up with the refills and clearing plates. I'm pretty jazzed that I finally tried this place and that I can see it from the landing outside my apartment. Now I know where to go when sushi cravings get the best of me. And, I can stop for an old fashioned glazed doughnut at the stand on the corner on my way home. Score!

Momotaro is below par, by far. They really are not that moderately priced, their sushi is not good, the ambiance is cheesy, the service is so-so. Now, true, I have only gone there one time, but that was more than enough for me. I promise you, that one time will be my last. So: if you have to get Sushi and you're in the area, go to Downtown Burbank. There are much better places.
(2)

Momotaro is the closest sushi joint that we know about and on the rare occasions that we treat ourselves, we usually get takeout. The services is par at best, but since we always get takeout, that's not a huge deal. The sushi is good and while it isn't cheap, it isnt expensive either. Beware of the eel sauce. On one occasion, we received spoiled sauce that was a bit fizzy. The fish is always fairly fresh and the slices are generous. Ive been thinking about looking for an alternate joint to check out, but just havent put the work in to look. If you don't expect much, you wont be disappointed.

Again, i would say I am a fan of Japanese restaurants but this place, eeh I would say I am not really impressed. The plating was a little messy, especially when we got a green tea tempura ice cream and it was already melting when they served it to us. The people were nice and the only thing I like was the salmon and tuna sushi and the rainbow rolls, but kind of pricey. However, this is my cousin's favorite restaurant because its close by, so if he invites me, I would definitely still go with him.

We used to love Momotaro's. Lately, when we go, things don't taste so fresh. But they still do a fab crunch roll and decent bowl of miso soup. And you really can't beat the atmosphere... bright, cheery and open, friendly staff. Some of their stuff just doesn't taste as fresh as it used to.

This might be the best restaurant in Burbank. Not that Burbank has much going for it, but still, this place is awesome. There have been times when I've had to hand in my vegetarian badge to the vegetarian chief and eat some sushi. That's how good this place is. I've "broken the edge" for it repeatedly. Don't judge me. I think I've tried every sushi roll they make and they are all completely amazing. Tiger, Hungry, Crunchy, anything. Throw a dart at the menu and it's going to be delicious. And they have the little skinny menus on the table that has the simpler, inexpensive rolls on it, making this place really affordable. Like 3 or 4 bucks a roll. You can get a variety of rolls for like 10 or 11 bucks. Not too bad. The more complicated rolls are in the 8-10 dollar range, but they are big and delicious. Either way you do it, you're going to be happy. There are a few vegetarian options too. You can get a combo of veggie, cucumber, and avocado rolls for $9 or so. I just recently tried the Udon Tempura meal and it was out of this world. A full plate of tempura and a bowl of udon soup of $8. It satisfied all of my noodle/fried vegetable desires, which were sizable! Oh man, but there's more! The place is really pleasing to the eye too! It's well decorated and classy. When you sit at tables, they have those divider walls between them so you seem really special. Plus all the chefs and staff greet you in Japanese when you come through the door and say goodbye when you leave. The whole time you are there you are treated well by an attentive staff. They are pretty great. If you're in Burbank and you're hankerin' for some sushi, or just a place in Burbank that has character, go here and live it up. It's very good.

Good sushi that won't break your budget that's why I like this place I go out of my way to visit here as often as I can. I used to go about once a week and I've never had an issue with the fish being fresh, the service is personal with out being always in your face which is nice. There is one guy who will insist on you drinking more beer or sake over and over and over but he's pretty harmless Some times it can take a bit to get the check but really its not a big deal.. I've never had a spicy tuna roll that I've actually liked but here I cant seem to get enough of it... yum

Just had dinner here and was really looking forward to a great Japanese meal. I ordered the combination dinner and chose mixed tempura and sashimi. The tuna sashimi was not fresh at all, tasted like it had been out for a while. I asked the waiter if he could just replace the tuna with salmon sashimi. He went to speak with the sushi chef, Grant, and he refused. He said that the fish had just come in and that maybe I wasn't used to the cut of the fish. I know good sashimi and that was not it. Whatever happened to good customer service. I asked them to replace a ONE bad piece of fish and was refused. Bad service from the sushi chef!! Would not recommend the place!!! Save your money and go somewhere better!!!

Disappointed... Please note that this goes for their sushi and sashimi, I don't know about the cooked stuff. I had the momotaro bridge: sashimi: yellowtail, salmon, tuna, red snapper; sushi: salmon, tuna, albacore, yellowtail; and california rolls. The fish was not fresh, it had a slight fishy taste to the sashimi. My heart sank, never was I so afraid of yellowtail & salmon, my favorites. I did drink a lot of hot green tea, to wash out the taste. The service was so-so, don't have a complaint or compliment for the service. I definitely will not go back for the sashimi/sushi. Maybe...maybe as in once in a blue moon - maybe, try their cook food.

My fiance and I live right up the street from Momotaro and it is our go-to place when we are craving sushi. We order for pick-up from them about twice a month. The prices are pretty good, as is the sushi. I recommend getting the Momotaro combo. You get your choice of two items and it comes with a side salad, rice, miso soup and ice cream (if you eat there in the restaurant) It's a lot of food! Their rolls are also surprisingly delicious. If you're a Sushi snob this probably is not your place. If you want quality sushi for a fair price then you really can't beat Momotaro..

I go here for lunch a few times a month with a work friend and it's ALWAYS good. I have never had anything that wasn't really tasty. Last week we had Hamachi sushi (yellowtail) and it was the BEST I've ever had...melt in your mouth delicious. They have some pretty amazing rolls too...we try a new one each time and haven't been disappointed. I can't think of anything bad to say about this place...except that it's drafy if you sit at the sushi bar by the door - like airplane drafty and my friend makes fun of the waitresses Geisha makeup :)

I personally love momotaro's. They have tons of yummy rolls (and their menu has pictures of each one, so you're not left guessing what's in it and what it looks like). My favorites are their baby lobster roll and the godzilla roll. The service has always been fine, nothing spectacular, but friendly service. They tend to get really busy during lunch, but whatever, i can deal with it. Yummy food for a reasonable price.

Momotaro had to have been one of the worst sushi restaurants I have ever been to. Quality of fish was horrible and was almost inedible. Not surprisingly, I felt sick after eating here. To top it off, the service was nonexistent. The server forgot to bring out our salad and soup before bringing the sushi, and after we asked him for it, he told me "oh you wanted it with the food?" Unbelievable! Thinking this experience couldn't couldn't get any worse, the server adds an automatic 18% tip to the bill! We were only a party of two! I have never heard of something like that before. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this disgrace of a sushi restaurant.

Cathy G.
I had the opportunity to check out this place with a party of 15 people. With such a large party, I was expecting service to lag like no other. If anything, I would have to say it took us longer to decide what we all wanted than what it took for all the food to arrive at the table. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. Everything from the teriyaki chicken plates to the lobster roll, spicy tuna roll, even the banana tempura for dessert was quite delectable. Large serving portions was definitely a plus and all the servers were courteous and quite helpful with suggestions. There was not a single empty belly in the house. Everyone was satisfied and in my book that deserves another visit back. Keep it poppin' Burbank.

I have been to Momotoro a couple times, and the first time it was decent, the second time - not so much. Let me explain. I ordered quite a bit of sushi for pickup, a couple different rolls, white tuna sushi and halibut sushi. Well, after getting home and opening up the box I inspected my sushi, between one of the pieces of white tuna and rice was a 3 inch long black hair. Accidents happen, I thought, so I discarded that piece and continued to eat the rest. Bad idea - a few hours later it all came rushing out the other end looking just like it did when it went in, food poisoning! A hair and food poisoning in one visit? I highly discourage anyone from eating here.

This place hovers between 3 and 4 stars. This is a Korean owned/operated Japanese Restaurant. When you walk in you are greeted in Japanese by the Korean sushi chefs behind the sushi bar and thats about the only thing Japanese about this place you will see as no one here speaks fluent Japanese. They speak fluent Korean though. Depending on the time of day, your service can be fast or can be slow. I have had most of their sushi and cooked dishes. If you stick with anything that is FISH or CHICKEN then your good to go. Their Broiled Salmon Teriyaki Plate is just awesome. Their spicy tuna hand roll is tasty too. Do not order anything BEEF. The beef is low quality and tough. If you don't believe me, just try their beef. Do not order anything that is noodles. Nothing wrong with noodles as they taste good. But the noodles are very over priced here. You get your moneys worth on fish and chicken here as their portions are generous. Just their beef is really lacking. The place is relatively clean. Not good for big groups. I say about 6 or 7 is max as the place is not that big. There is ample parking.

Through an unusual circumstance, I have had the chance to eat here 5 times in the last two weeks. It's a nice, modest, local sushi joint. It's not pretentious or over-priced like a lot of the restauraunts along San Fernando Blvd 1 block west of here. They have a few really nice specials. Their Godzilla roll and monkey-ball appetizer are both worth a try. Overall the food is consistent. All the fish has tasted fresh and they have a decent selection of sake and asian beers. It's not too busy or touristy. It's a great place for a date because it feels like one of those "in-the-know" places. Best thing about this place, the price. 1/2 price sushi that isn't buffet quality! Worst thing about this place, the hours are a little wierd.

ehh... pretty mediocre sushi place IMO. I ordered the crunch roll and had a salmon roll as well. It was ok...wasn't great wasn't horrible...but i have to say i've had better. Atmosphere is not bad, got seated quickly on a late friday night and there was plennty of parking O_o.... hmm......i think ill try another sushi place next time!!

We wanted to try this one and while we were were skeptical, it all turned out good. The service was fast. The food was not the absolute finest but I must say it was good and it was fresh. I would go here again. The nice selection of creative rolls were available. I was surprised, but the scallops were some of the best I ever had. While it is not like going to a fancy upscale place in Beverly Hills, I like the fact that this place is not a trendy scene and more of a neighborhood place.

The only reason we've frequented this place is because it's close to where we live and the food tastes "decent". Based on our most recent experience this weekend we are now looking for a new sushi place. We usually order take-out and something is always wrong with our order. We ordered/paid for a cut roll and received a hand roll, stuff like that. The sashimi salad is pretty expensive and it's obvious they use the fish scraps. Lastly, the waitstaff is not that friendly. Good bye Momotaro!

I have never been a fish fan. But now, Momotaro has made me crave it. Their sushi rolls are amazing and well priced. My favorite rolls are the Fire Roll, Ninja Roll, and the Lobster roll! Plus the service is awesome! I almost always have the same waitress, Shannon and she is so polite and energetic that I am always in a better mood once I leave. I recommend you at least try this place because there is going to be at least one thing you enjoy. I even love their Green Tea Ice Cream!!!! It's so good that I've even ordered it to go!

Buried treasure in Burbank! When I lived a life of woe o'er the hill, this was one of my haunts. No one will mistake it for top-flight Japanese but such quality-to-price ratio is practically unheard of in these here parts. Can get busy at night. The digs are undistinguished. Staff: pleasant and competent.

my parents and i drove past momotaro a few times and last night they wanted to try it out. i didnt expect much out of it and good thing... i drove into the parking lot and was a little surprised that it looked full. went inside and was nicely greeted with some "irashai"s that sounded japanese. we were quickly seated and then we took a look at the menu. "authentic japanese food" PSSH, yeah right, i said to myself. my mom wanted some water and said it in japanese and we got this blank smile from the waitress so i said it in english. i told my mom dont try to talk to them in japanese, theyre NOT japanese! i figure the waitress was korean. my mom orders the masago bowl (i think it was an assortment of fish eggs over rice that had some cooked salmon mixed in the rice, all in a stone pot, like in bibimbap) my dad ordered the combo with tempura and spicy tuna roll. i steered clear from their sushi, since i just had a great experience at Yoshida's a few days before (see my review) and didnt have much of an expectation from this place for sushi. i figure, this place probably has some koreans working here so ill order a bibimbap, thinking it will come out better than any of the japanese food. i got my bibimbap. looked decent. taste was... eh ok. could have had more flavor. barely any meat. my mom got her masago bowl (see picture). it was really colorful and kind of weird. the typical orange colored eggs... and then black ones that looked like caviar... red ones... and green. ?? apparently the green ones had some wasabi mixed in with it. it wasnt appealing to me and i didnt have any desire to have any. my dad got his combo. the spicy tuna was ehhh ok. it kind of tasted like tuna paste. the tempura didnt look fluffy at all. (i saw on a japanese show that the way to make the perfect tempura is to have the batter ICE COLD before you dip and fry. this place probably had it sitting out and warm. it was the total opposite) =P my dad said it was ehhhh ok too, nothing great. oh yeah there was a huge broccoli tempura and my dad said it was so big that the center didnt get cooked and was doughy. ew. my dads combo came with a scoop of ice cream. we picked green tea. disappointing as well. i dont know what it was, it tasted like imitation green tea flavoring with bright green food coloring. weird. the service was pretty fast and friendly. always smiling and polite. the place started to get packed and i was surprised. i thought to myself, maybe this is the ONLY japanese restaurant in the area? possibly. this is not a place i could go if i just felt like eating some japanese food. i would rather make something myself. not recommended. i was personally surprised by all the good ratings on this place on yelp. i mean it wasnt horrible tasting, just not that good. and i definitely wouldnt say this is the best thing in town. but thats just me, being japanese... *shrugs

Momotaro's sushi is usually pretty tasty, but there are times when the quality seems noticeably lower. The prices are very good. Service is slow, but the cozy atmosphere makes me not mind the wait. I haven't had anything but sushi there so I can't comment on the teriyaki and other cooked dishes. It's not the best sushi I've had, but it's a friendly little place and I would definitely go back if I were in the area and needed a quick sushi fix.

I absolutely LOVE this place and have been coming here for about two years now. The prices are very reasonable and the food is fresh and delicious. The staff are all very friendly and I definitely agree with other people that have commented that you are treated like family at Momotaro :) My boyfriend loves the Mexican and Ninja rolls! I love the misobi salad!! This is definitely a place to try if you haven't been already. Great prices, great food, and great service....what more can you ask for these days? Oh and you have to try the banana tempura for dessert...it's to die for!

Love love love this place! I have been coming here for over 6 years and they are like family to me :) If I ask for a roll that's not on the list they always go out of their way and make it for me. Everyone is so friendly and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They have a great selection on the menu so it's a restaurant for everyone. The prices are great compared to other sushi restaurants. Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Nice-ass staff, reasonable prices, and money-in-the-bank Lobster and TCR rolls...easy parking in the adjacent lot as well. Shit, you gotta love it when reviews come this damn easy.

Just recently visited this restaurant and had a great time. The sushi was the best I've had and the service was prompt and very polite. The menu was fully loaded and the prices were low. Great place to take a date or a few good friends. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

OH WOW MOMOTARO is absolutely delightful~ I went there last night with few of my girlfriends and we had such a great time~ the waitstaff are so friendly and helpful, they are very attentive but what was the best part was of course the food! i had the dragon roll this time and it was amazingg and delicious, if you're a fan of eel and avocado go with this one~~! once again, i was reminded why momotaro is my favorite sushi restaurant~ SEE YOU SOON MOMOTARO !!

We come here a lot, mostly because it's not that expensive and the quality is sufficient. Everything is pretty delicious, and the wait staff is extremely polite and friendly. A couple of times there has been something wrong on the check- like a beer on our check when we weren't drinking. So check your bill. But I forgive easily when they apologize so nicely! We usually go on an off time like before 6 or after 8- and there's never a crowd at those times. I wouldn't bring a date here if you wanted to impress her, but a few friends on a lazy afternoon is a perfect time to come. Final note: My loyalty is dependent on their prices staying the same.

Grumpy old man approved! I have been to lots of Sushi resturants and always seem to come back to Momotaros! Kabukis as comparison so much money with not as much as food. My friend grumpy old man never complains about this place and he is the pickiest of them all. I cannot say anything bad of the Jay roll, crunch calimari rolls, terriaki chicken or any sushi rolls. A great time is certain if you come here....

Good sushi joint up in Burbank. I was very impressed by the sashimi and nigiri, notably the white tuna and albacore; both were very tender and fresh. Not a huge fan of the maki rolls here, although they had a large variety and original concepts. many of them used fake crab or cream cheese as the staple. Most of the other ones were very good! Would return here.. Strawberry mochi for dessert was the perfect finisher (although I barely fit it in!)

Great place! The staff is friendly, the food is great, and there's even parking!! I'm usually not brave at trying new things, but the menu has a lot of variety and it's all good. The prices are reasonable, too. Take a friend and share a few plates-- you'll love it!

3 stars because there are variety of japanese food to choose from! but the food are only a OK! umm there is a better sushi place out there in that area like Niko Niko on san fernando! but yeah momotaro is closer to my house so i go there sometimes :D....I like the waiters and waitresses too! they are pretty friendly!

Been here several times with my boyfriend. The prices are very good for a sushi restaurant, and everything is fresh. We now go here before Kabuki or Wokcano down the street. The menu is large, and the service is great. Very good find!

My boyfriend and i love this place! Volcano scallops are the best! If your a regular they offer you a point card. When you get up to 200 points, you get %5 off. Which is not much but its something especially for regulars like me. Service is good, everyone knows us there so it makes it better.

a low-key place with reasonable prices and decent sushi. the servers are really nice and attentive and i think it's family owned so i'm always down to support establishments like this. can be a bit generic, but if you want something quick, simple and good and you're in burbank, then come eat here and avoid the high school kids hangin' out on san fernando.

Really, really good sushi! I've eaten there before a couple of times but lately the food has been great! Our favorite rolls are the Burbank Roll, the Salmon Tempura Roll, and the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna (there's cream cheese inside and it's surprisingly good! I definitely recommend it but I wish they had booths...much more comfy than tables.

This used to be my ultimate hot spot but not anymore..the sushi boat was ok..comes with awesome salad with ginger sauce quite on the tangy side but sweet..rice(if you love your carbs)..miso soup..okay..Last night ordered the dinner combination with choice of two items..had the spicy tuna..kinda mushy...and the terriyaki chicken..rubbery..should've just ate the rice with terriyaki sauce and I would've been straight.. but the watermeon was sweet..orange..sour...pasta..bland...they used to serve these combination meals in a dainty cute japanese square tray appetizing to the eye now they brought it in a mongo huge white plate..it could've fed three people...kinda got discouraged with my appetite...only thing I liked was the free edamame they give you before you order...was busy on a Thursday night...odd usually there's never a crowd...manager very friendly...asked how everything was doing...,only needed more napkins...he also offered wet towels to wipe off sticky fingers...cool.oh yeah not that great in using chopsticks for some reason..so I used a trainer one which they have prepared hidden in the back only if you ask for one..too full..not a good feeling...want a just right feeling...fiance had mango ice cream and I had green tea both delish..almost left home without it because they forgot to bring it and I was getting antzy...

I have to disagree with all the previous reviews and because of the bad experience I had at this place (not just once, twice!), I actually went to the length of registering on Yelp just so I can speak. My friend heard good things about Momo so we ventured out there one day and we were delighted with their menu, and was especially impressed with the picture of the Sushi Bridge, but then the Sushi we ordered arrived. OMG, I had never seen a tuna fish so dark and tasted so not fresh, but we had a okay white fish and yellowtail. The service was horrible and the resturant was half empty! We went back there the 2nd time just to see if our experience was just a one time odd chance, but the same kind of bad fish showed up on the Sushi Bridge we ordered and when we confronted the manager about how bad the fish tasted he was like, oh I can't recall which day we ordered the fish, but it should be fresh. BUT facts speak for itself!

momotaro is a pretty standard sushi place. the prices are what you'd expect them to be for japanese food. the alaskan roll and lobster roll were both satisfactory. i was there on a friday night and didn't have to wait so that was a plus. recommended if you happen to be in the area but not a place that i'd drive waay outta the way for. trey estrellas!

I have been to a lot of sushi places all over the U.S. and this place is by far the best sushi Ive ever had. More specifically, the Acapulco Roll is heaven. I could eat it forever. We happened across this place by chance and I am so thankful we did. :)

This is the best sushi place in Burbank. We schlep from North Hollywood time and again because the food is amazing and the service is fast. The fact that they give you edamame and sunumono as you arrive is a great first impression. We may name our next child Momotaro.

Love this place! We have been coming here for many years and have never been disappointed. The staff makes you feel right at home and the service is prompt and friendly. The food is fresh, flavorful and delicious. Our favorite is the crunch roll, spicy tuna hand roll, salmon, yellow tail and tuna belly. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

My family and have been coming to Momotaro on Glenoaks for over 10 years now. The food and staff have never let us down. Its like home away from home. The owners treat everyone with the highest level of respect. Hands down best sushi in burbank. We drive across town from Glendale just to come here. The atmosphere is great and cozy too. Always ample parking with quick seating. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The portions are big and the pricing is competitive. Its a must try if you are in the area and want to try a roll of sushi heaven.

My parents and I have been going to Momotaro for almost 10 years now and it is by far the best sushi/sashimi restaurant in Burbank! The owners are extremely sweet and servers are friendly and prompt. The fish is VERY VERY fresh and delicious. As a Japanese family, we're extremely pleased and happy with the taste, presentation, quality, and everything about Momotaro. Can't wait to go back!

We went for the first time today. We tried the J something roll, baked lobster and the Acapulco roll. My boyfriend loved the Acapulco roll. I personally loved the j something roll. It was with soy paper tasted weightless and very fresh. We took our little brats and the service there was awesome. They gave my little one some green tea ice cream and pieces of fruit to entertain them. We will definitely be back. All the picture of the rolls looked good. I can't wait to try some different rolls.

Live and learn. We tried this place for the second time after being away from it for a couple of years. We stayed away so long because we weren't impressed the first time. We decided to give it another try, what a mistake. First of all, my wife got her order a full 10 minutes before I received mine. I tried to get her to start her meal, but she chose to wait until mine came. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and my wife had sushi. My chicken was rubbery and I let the waiter know about it. He said that he'd tell the chef and returned a few minutes later and said simply "sorry about that." I rarely complain at any restaurant and on the few occasions that I have, the manager has always tried to make things right. Apperently this place doesn't care as much about their patrons' opinions as other the places we've dined, and we certainly will not be making this mistake again.

Decent sushi. The owner is very sweet lady . Often they give dessert on the house. For the price and amount of food they serve the place should be a lot busier. I've been coming here few times in the past years. The first time I came was probably 5 years ago and pretty much nothing has changed. Probably a little renovation won't be bad. There are little kinks on the service staff that they should work on. Try the Samurai roll. It's huge and has a lot of stuff inside.

My go-to sushi spot in the Glendale/Burbank area. It's casual, clean and the food is consistently good. I haven't tried anything I don't like. My one critique is that the rolls are made pretty large, which makes it difficult for single feminine bites -- but the upside to that, are generous portions. You don't need 2 rolls per person to fill up! The desserts are INSANELY GOOD too! This spot is informal and family friendly. One of the servers even recommended that I add rice to the miso soup for my kids since they are little and not sushi fans yet, and they LOVED IT! Great recommendation! Always good service. See you again soon!

This place is convenient and has decent sushi. However, their service needs a little revamping and more smiles. The waitress that I always get always seems unhappy and moody. I almost feel bad for receiving refills or requesting add-ons to our orders. Their other entrees lack quality. This is definitely one of those sushi restaurants that do not specialize in anything else but sushi yet they add on other menu options for a sense of versatility. I will continue frequenting this place and hope that the servers will seem more welcoming in the future.

I haven't been here because I was too busy with work and lot of things changed, in a good way! Lot of their prices have gone down and when I asked the server, she said they're actually in the process of updating their menu with cheaper prices. So I walk in and saw that drinks are cheaper too! Beers, sakes and even sodas. But the best part was their happy hour drink prices! Small hot sake was only $1.50!!! My husband said he's definitely coming back during happy hour. Food was good as always. Loved their new banana kick dessert menu (better than their original banana tempura) And of course, the servers were awesome. I always search for new sushi places but haven't found anything better than here. Prices, services, food all above average. Oh and the sign says now they open at 11am Mon-Fri.

Always delicious, yet service was fantastic tonight. Happy hour specials are awesome and so inexpensive! Love that there are unusual items not found at other restaurants. Perfect for small or large party, work lunch or romantic dinner.

Pretty good. They have a good happy hour...good points are free edamae and a good selection of deserts. Check in on yelp and get a free soda.

I love Momotaro. I eat here with friends regularly. I am not a big sushi fanatic, but this is one of my favourite places when someone says, "I want sushi! Let's go!," because they have so much more than just raw fish. I like their edamame appetizer, and their miso soup, and their unagi! The location is nice. The building is all by itself, and it's surrounded by parking spots. Never had a problem finding parking. The restaurant itself is cute inside, and comfortable. You are greeted upon entering with the usual, "Irrashaimase!" and I've always had attentive service. They have a nice happy hour between 3-6pm on weekdays. I've been here at all times of the day and it has never been too crazy busy.
(5)
Vivian R.
The food is okay. There are far better sushi places in the area for the same price. I had the dinner plate with bulgogi and the quality/taste wasn't that great. Their rolls are mediocre.

Christine G.
We have been going here regularly for two years now and the food never disappoints. We get the Walt Disney roll and fire roll. Add the banana tempura for your desert and you have made the perfect meal. Make sure to sit at the bar and you will receive the best service! Don't forget they also have a rewards card and discounts!! I highly recommend making this your new spot! Also, we love our regular waiter, Hugo!

Best sushi joint in Burbank! My boyfriend and I are here at least twice a week. Great environment, great service, fresh sushi. This is probably the only sushi place I would trust 100% with the quality and freshness of their fish. This is definitely your go to place for sushi. Recommend it to everyone!

I've been here a few times, as I would drive by it everyday on my way to work when I was working in Burbank. I always had the curiosity of going in here to take the itch off my back. I went in the fist time, LOVED IT! I can't seem to get anything else but the following; Teriyaki chicken California rolls (BOMB!) Deep fried Calamari (BOMB! With the teriyaki sauce on the side) Miso soup before your meal(BOMB!) and of course, SAKE! The prices are OK. Just don't come if your meal budget it $10.00. The decor is very traditional (As most Japanese restaurants). Bathrooms are neat (As should be) Customer service is pleasant & on point. I love how your plate is served as if it were ordered for someone ROYAL! Def one of my favs.

I"ve been coming to this family run place for lunch for quite some time. Although the portions have decreased quite a bit since the economic downturn, their prices are extremely reasonable considering they have their daily "Buy 3 rolls Get 4th for $0.99." I also get an additional 10% for showing my work ID. This place has great, friendly service, ample parking and most importantly delicious rolls at a bargain. When I'm around the Burbank/Glendale area & want Japanese, I think of Momotaro!! In addition to the edaname served, attached are fotos of what the 5 of us had during today's lunch. All were our favorite. They have good bento boxes & super yummy seaweed salad!! Enjoy! Rosemary

Randomly stopped by here by myself for lunch and sat at the bar. The service was exceptional, friendly but not too talkative (it was too early to be spilling my guts out to the sushi chef, and I wasn't drinking). Large selection of rolls but more than usual had crab which was a problem for someone allergic like me. The spicy tuna had a decent kick and the hungry roll smelled nice but was more greasy than I'd like. Would have liked more combo options, I like my sushi with teriyaki personally, but this could've gone so much worse for seriously walking inside the first place I saw driving down the street.

Pretty good place with extremely friendly staff. Fresh fish prepared nicely. Seaweed a bit soft and chewy not to my liking because I like to feel the crunch when I bite into a hand roll. Sushi looked different than on the photos on the menu. I normally don't mind that but when the portion size looks bigger in the photo than in actuality, then it bothers me. All an all, I liked the place and will definitely revisit.
(3)
Jon N.
Always consistent with a friendly and attentive staff. This is not the greatest sushi, but it's very good to sometimes excellent and the rolls are creative. Ordering off the menu, the portions are enormous and enough to share. BTW, for those that are complaining about the rolls being too big, I don't understand how that is a problem?? Especially if you are with friends and can share. PLUS, they are completely open to giving you a to-go box for what you can't finish. Good value, good service and good food - Momotaro ("Peach Boy") is peachy.

What I like about this place is that it is convenient. They have their own parking lot, even when it's busy I haven't had to wait too long to be seated, the food is okay and the service is okay. That is all.

Great food, reasonable prices, and easy parking make this one of the better restaurants in Burbank. I am a long time patron of Momotaro (anyone remember back when they had all-you-can-eat lunch and dinner?) and have never experienced any of the horror stories that you'll read in other posts. Maybe I'm just lucky. The food is always delicious. I suggest the Hungry Roll (spicy tuna roll given the tempura treatment) and Jay Tempura Roll (with soy paper wrapping), but other options are still very tasty. Service was excellent in the past, but it seems like I see a new server every time I go these days. Although sometimes the service isn't PERFECT, it's never been BAD. I've noticed that you seem to get your food much faster if you sit at the sushi bar.

Be careful with credit cards here. When I checked my credit card statement with my receipt, they charged me two dollars extra. It's not about the two dollars, but how shady the workers are here. As far as food goes, it's your standard Japanese fare. Not bad, but also nothing to rave about.

LOVE IT HERE! Service is really good, servers are nice The sushi is decently priced, and I always get the buy 3 get the 4th roll for 1.99. Took my visiting Okinawan friend to this place and they very much approved of the sushi and food. (he is a picky eater) This is my favorite Japanese restaurant! I enjoy the Ninja roll, Omikase roll I would recommend this place to anyone. Quiet atmosphere, I never have to wait long to eat

(5)Arnold B.
(1)Michael Anthony H.
(5)mary t.
(4)Iris H.
(2)Chuck S.
(5)Derek T.
(3)Jennifer P.
The best sushi ever! Awesome environment. Fresh and yummy !! The staff is so friendly and accommodating! Check it out !!
(5)Michael D.
(4)Arlene F.
(4)Edward Z.
Great place for sushi!! I've been a regular here for years. The food quality has been consistent and amazing every time we come. Service is great and staff is very friendly. Hands down best sushi spot in Burbank.
(5)Stan K.
(5)Marcelino R.
(5)Hratch O.
Amazing place amazing people I love it... J-DO is an amazing chef the waiters are amazing...the bill was amazing I don't know how many times I said amazing but this place is AMAZING

(3)Christian S.
Been here several times now. The tempura was the first thing to win me over. Then the sushi. And most recently, the MOMO BALL. So delicious. The udon and the salmon salad are also stand outs. The more I come here, the more I fall in love! I would definitely recommend this place.
(5)Sol C.
Ordered the sushi and sashimi lunch combo. The sashimi and cali roll were average. The side salad with ginger dressing was delicious. The decor is nice and spacious. Will come back to try something different.
(3)Hripsime V.
Great sushi, decent prices, good environment. Keeps me coming back!
(4)Kevin T.
(3)Electric E.
Came here for a business meal. Got 6 rolls. Most of them were ok, good, not great. The 2 that stood out was calamari roll and Garlic roll. We sat at a table vs. sushi bar and only got rolls so your experience might vary.
(3)Jemil J.
Went yesterday and was surprised to see all new waiters and a different menu. A little mix up with my order but still a great place for sushi and rolls. Hope there is not any big changes coming, you can't mess with a good thing.
(4)Emily K.
(5)Claire K.
(2)Ingå B.
(3)Joe K.
Love this place!! Food and service is fantastic. Love the burbank roll and Walt Disney roll
(5)James A.
(5)Kelly W.
We love Momotaro. It is our favorite go to sushi place. They are always accommodating to our toddler, nice, service is fast and food is great. I love the combo with the ginger chicken and the sushi is really good.
(4)Rachel K.
Always fresh sashimi and sushi, great services and friendly staff. Momotatro is my favorite Japanese restaurant in town.
(5)Nick O.
Food was not good. There were fruit flies flying around everywhere. The waitress was very attentive but then again she should have been as I was swatting flies away from my raw fish the entire time. In all, I wouldn't recommend this place.
(2)Gypsy M.
Great and friendly service, loved it before i ate. They give you edamame while you wait. Great sushi and the house salad with ginger sauce was really good, i wanted more.
(5)Jessica D.
(5)Mary K.
Okay, so my review might be a little biased because I came here for a friend's birthday and it was a great experience! Private dining room with friendly service and endless sushi. Everything was delicious!
(4)Nairi P.
(4)Edith G.
I've been coming here for over ten years... The service is always great and the Bloody Mary Roll had never failed me! Love this place, love the food, love that there's parking!! A+++
(5)Andrew W.
Awesome place for dinner, they have great sushi options at a decent price with a welcoming atmosphere. Try the Chilean sea bass if you can!
(5)Mario C.
Great place for amazing sushi. Recommend mackerel and blue fin tuna! Great friendly service. Definitely coming back.
(5)Steve T.
We love this restaurant. Great sushi and a friendly staff. Try the Momo Burrito it is our favorite. Their rolls are amazing, and their sushi is top notch.
(5)Annette P.
(2)Garrett L.
I had the vegetable bibimbab and it was very good. The service was fantastic and friendly.
(5)Sean W.
The best sushi restaurant in the neighborhood! ! Rolls are very delicious especially the 'blood mary roll' in one of my favorites. The kitchen menus are good too. I would recommend this place to everyone. Great food and great environment and great service!! =)
(5)Bird B.
Cozy sushi resturant. Best green mussels and best soft shel crab I've ever tried. Very fresh
(5)Christy G.
(3)Sharon K.
(4)Cherry B.
Best sushi place in town. Las Vegas roll never failed me and the freshness is really awesome! Must try this fresh and famous sushi place. Servers and sushi chefs are all nice and fun. Love this place!!
(5)Allie P.
Over-priced for average sushi. I also didn't enjoy smelling ammonia while eating when we were sitting near the kitchen and they were cleaning the kitchen floors. Unappetizing.
(3)A R.
The scallop volcano roll and the salmon sushi bomba!! Service is excellent! A definite Burbank hotspot :-)
(5)Vanessa S.

(2)Rebekah S.
(3)Christian G.
This one is very good for the get off of work go somewhere to get some dinner crowd. I wasn't disappointed with the portions they give here. I find myself thinking with my stomach too much. Seating is never a problem and I love that. I have no problem going here with co workers.
(4)Carlos P.
Good sushi but an even better happy hour if you go from 4-6 you can get decent sushi for cheap and beer as well, I also like this place cause I could walk to this location in 10 minutes :)
(4)Cobe H.
Came in for the first time the food and the service was amazing!! I'll be back with friends for sure !
(5)Greta G.
(1)Eric L.
(5)Laura D.
(4)Armygirl F.
If you have not been to this hidden gem, you are missing out on some really Fresh sushi. the service is so awesome. the waiting staff is always so welcoming and friendly!! The have a good selection of Saki and beer. Ask for the special, I am not telling what it is, you just have to come check them out.
(5)Matt R.
Good sushi. Try to get here for happy hour and take advantage of half off rolls and sake. Excellent miso soup. There is something slightly different about it. Super friendly staff and even though this is a Japanese sushi place run by Koreans it beats most places in Burbank that are true Japanese sushi restaurants.
(4)Chris T.
(1)Paul G.
Just came from here and met with the guys. Japanese dark beer was great. The four of us chose quite a variety off the paper Menu. Order came quickly enough and they added a simple desert. We will be going again.
(4)Samantha H.
Deliciously fresh sushi and great service! My family and I go there for almost every birthday dinner we have and always order 2 boats and 1 bridge. Plus, the points card allows us to save money!
(5)Chris Y.
Pretty good sushi at reasonable prices. Happy hour is awesome. Rarely have to wait, even at peak times.
(4)Lianne O.
(5)Erika E.
(3)Andrew R.
First time here, great food, all the staff very friendly and efficient! Happy hour deals are great too. Definitely coming back!
(5)Marlene W.
(2)Tina E.
(2)Steve X.
(2)Eve D.
Great and friendly staff. We have been going there quite some time. Their Crazy Spicy Tuna rolls and Glenoaks rolls are awesome!
(4)Jasmine G.
Tonight was the perfect Sunday I came in at around 7 service was amazing and I had the most amazing crunch roll dragon spider and Philadelphia ooh not to mention the green tea Icecream all I have to say is you should've been there
(4)Glen C.
Love the food here. Feel like the atmosphere is very authentic and great service. My favorite sushi place to go by far. Always look for JD chef. Truly genuine chef and love the worker Shannon. Always welcoming with a smile. Strongly recommend!
(5)Anazarry D.
This place has great service and delicious food. They are quick and efficient too.
(4)Jo F.
My roommate and I come here for sushi pretty frequently. The food is fresh, the service is excellent and the menu is pretty extensive. The parking is plentiful, which is a big plus when most of the parking downtown is always full.
(4)Yadhira L.
(5)shannon l.
(5)M G.
My favorite sushi place ever. I cannot go anywhere else. Customer service is good, price is right and it's in my hometown.
(5)Paul T.
DO NOT GO!
(1)Duke K.
(5)Pet N.
I like Japanese food and I thought I have tried them all. This place has a very unique twist to their dish, which I am very much enjoying. Very friendly environment and helpful staff. One of my favorite restaurants in Burbank.
(5)Mark W.
(4)Antonio A.
Enjoy!
(3)Yvette H.
1. Great Service. 2. Never a wait to be seated 3. Addicted to the sashimi salad
(4)Kelly C.
One of the decent place to get some sushi in glendale. Way Better than wakano or kabuki. Their sushi is Good and they use pretty good quality fish. Not a place to do sake bomb or for sashimi but rather some sushi and rolls!!
(3)Bea B.
Great
(5)Rasien I.
Eeekkkk... the quality of this place has really gone down over the past few years.
(2)Obei M.
(4)Maye O.
It's lazy.
(1)David M.
(2)Nick H.
i've been dining at momotaro for a while and its always been great good food & great service and reasonable pricing
(5)Lale p.
Came here after I was told it would take 40 minutes at Zono Sushi for a sashimi salad TO GO! I found Momatoro and called in my order went in 10 minutes later and it was ready. Really friendly staff and yummy salad! Thanks guys will be back for more!
(5)Robert M.
(3)CM T.
We love love love our neighborhood sushi bar. Servers are fun and attentive. All rolls are delish. Try the Bloody Mary Roll!! Or sexy roll is also a fave.
(5)Clayton W.

(5)Jenn K.
Decent Japanese food, friendly servers and atmosphere was ok. The sashimi salad has spicy dressing so beware if you don't want your sinuses to burn :)
(4)Eddie W.
I love this place, it's been my go-to sushi place since 2006! I admit, I live walking distance from it so that factors in. I've probably been here over 50 times. The sushi is awesome and the people are friendly, what more can you ask for?
(5)George J.
Pretty good. We go here when we're meeting friends in Burbank because they like it. Seems a bit pricey for what you get. Service and atmosphere are good though.
(4)Larae H.
(3)Natalie H.
I loved this place! Their sushi is legit and so is their miso soup. It is perfect, not to salty. We spent about $35 a person for dinner; we got 5 rolls, miso soup, salad and two drinks. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Love it!!!
(5)Cassi P.
(4)D S.
I love their sushi. Good place to order from, fast, very friendly, and the sushi is yummy. I love stopping here for a quick sushi bite it is however a little crowed at night so I prefer to order and pick up instead. Either way the service is great. :)
(4)Debi D.
Yum. We got the spicy tuna and spicy scallop handrolls...both were really yummy and fresh. The loster roll was delish! The albacore sushi was really good to, but didn't seem to have any garlicky sauce on it like some other sushi places have. Loved it, will go again.
(5)Kai H.
I used to come here frequently when I lived across the street. Great food and great service. This is the place I recommend for Sushi in Burbank. Some items are expensive, but overall worth it. I have to say, try all the stuff on the menu. It's well worth it.
(5)Ailyne H.
Thanks for nothing Momotaro :(
(1)Aylin M.
I love this place been going there for years and the best tasting sushi in the area and great prices will always be back great service will see you guys soon !!!!!
(5)Mary A.
(4)Mindi F.
(4)Marjorie F.
(5)Erica B.
Free edamame :) if u love salmon get the Walt Disney roll!!!!!! So bomb!!! AND great service. Def coming back!
(5)B A.
Barring just one off-night, I can say that the other 100 times we have been to this place have been excellent. It's the best sushi in the neighborhood. I would recommend anything on the menu - there are no misses and I've tried them all.
(5)Kevin L.
(1)Christine A.
Good sushi
(4)Renshi Robert T.
I come here all the time and love it. The sushi is soo good. I just wish their happy hour was longer
(5)Ccc D.
The service was horrible, of the girl that wears a pony tail. Too bad, feel like disgusted by her lack of professionism and manner. Never go back again, neither will my friends.
(1)Graham N.
Awesome just awesome. Im a frequent flyer here. Great service, great sushi, great service, wonderful people ! Hanna and sarah are the sweetest !!
(5)Meow V.
I was told this is better than Octopus. I say: No. Thank you.
(2)Jessie M.
Nope. Not worth it at all. This is the kind of place where you are FORCED to add eel sauce and spicy mayo to even attempt to make the fish taste good. It's hard to go wrong with a spicy tuna roll but ... yuck.
(1)Tonya L.
(4)Dave F.
(3)Tommy L.
(3)Richards D.
(4)Mark S.
Great sushi for a pretty reasonable price. They've got great happy hour deals as well. I often need to get a few different rolls because places can sometimes make them a little small, but one of the specialty rolls here definitely filled me up. They even had a Yelp special if you checked in!
(4)E T.
Yummy, Sashimi Combo!! Fish were fresh and tasty!! Service was exactly and professional. Miso soup was actually served temperature hot vs. other are generally room temp. Big portion... excellent price. Wouldn't mind going back there again.
(4)Brittany P.
Really Creative Chef's rolls! Knowledgable servers, and quick service.
(4)Christopher H.
(2)Alex S.
I have been coming here since it opened and it one of the best sushi restaurants I've eaten at. The staff is friendly and Steve is the best, he will pound beers with you on happening Fridays.
(5)Ann S.
(2)Kim P.
(4)Michael G.
(5)Chris S.
Above average sushi in a really comfortable restaurant
(4)Denise C.
We were greeted with friendly service at this casual sit-down restaurant and were pleased with the great sushi options. Our party of 7 ordered a variety of sushi and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Our crowd favorites included the crazy spicy tuna roll and the Glenoaks roll.
(4)Peat B.
(2)K E.
(5)Harry D.
My wife and I decided to give momotaro another chance and we were very disappointed. Food tasted bad and was way to expensive for what it was. Better off going to Sushi Joint.
(1)Ms I.
This place is the shit! The staff is friendly, the food rocks and it's so my new sushi joint! What an amazing find!
(5)Carl F.
This place has a great happy hour. Half off beers and certain rolls. We go here often. If you go with a large group you can get 3 specialty rolld and the 4th is a dollar. Id say its more fun for a family than when meeting up with friends if you go at dinner.
(4)Ethan S.
(3)Michelle A.
(2)Sara C.
(4)Joe G.
(2)L M.
It's the best sushi joint in the area. The beef domburi is good too, it's our go to japanese restaurant. Fire roll and garlic & albacore roll are very delicious and fresh.
(4)Jessica C.
(4)Eric F.
(4)Kerilyn K.
(3)Moto M.
(1)Omo A.
(4)Guy F.
Awesome.
(5)Mimi P.
Omg i love momotaro!! I come here to eat almost every week! Food is awesome n service is soooo freakin good! Everyone is soo friendly n welcoming! If u want some real good sushi. Momotaro is the place to go!
(5)tonia h.
(4)imelda h.
(4)Kaitlin J.
(5)Levon G.
One of my favorite places :) besides everything chicken teriyaki roll is very goooood :)
(5)Matt W.
(2)Kevin G.
Bad service. Took forever to get our check. Sushi was warm. Lobster roll was really good though.
(2)Rina C.
they have changed the menu a bit since the last time I went. but most importantly the quality of the unagi has gone down. very fatty skin, doesn't taste good. they have many attractive looking rolls on the menu though.
(3)Mike F.
great place to eat sushi fresh and service is great
(4)Maggie A.
(2)Flora D.
(4)Jay C.
OMG, the first thing i noticed walking in there was this funky ass fishy, garbage kind of smell that lingered throughout the whole time i was just eating there today. their place seems chill, nice space, clean, friendly staff, but food's mediocre.
(2)Ashkon K.
(1)Cookie K.
Ok I had to update my review. I have been to Momotaro at least 7 times since my review and it only gets better. I LOVE the sushi chefs and the service. I am happy every time I go there!
(5)Louie F.
(4)Elizabeth W.
I liked this place. My boyfriend and I are both vegetarian, so we were both happy to see vegetarian sushi and other options on the menu. We had fried tofu, and a meal of sushi and veggie tempura. Our meal was under 20.00 and the service was quick and friendly.
(5)Raffi S.
Got here and found out they have happy hour.. The food was alright, but i wish he would tell me that the happy hour menu portions are kids size. STAY AWAY FROM THE SCALLOP ROLL. It tasted WAY too fishy for my taste bud's comfort.
(3)Edwin C.

(4)Em K.
Great sushi, even better prices. My girlfriend and I go here all the time and absolutely love it. Friendly staff as well.
(5)M K.
(2)Marly H.
(2)Jack G.
Fresh and Delicious. I come here very frequently and have been a customer since day one. If you want, decent, fresh and affordable sushi then this place is for you.
(4)Hannah B.
(4)Linda L.
I've gone to this place for lunch and everyone enjoys their rolls. The specialty rolls are really big and it's always fun to share lots of different kinds.
(4)Ian T.
Good sushi for the price. The sushi might not blow you away, but you won't leave hungry and you won't dent your wallet too much. Good for groups, and especially families.
(3)Hortencia B.
Went last night for dinner. We were a large group 9. Service was great. The Boat dinner was terrific. Plenty of food. My daughter shared the Bridge dinner and said it was great. Definetely will be going back.

(5)Jason L.
It's alright. I think their prices went up a little and lunch isn't as affordable as it used to be.
(3)Cyndi H.
(4)mike l.
(3)Ap N.
The rolls are too big here, and just a little sloppy for me. I can't speak on the rest of the sushi, as all I had were the rolls, but just not my taste.
(2)Elisha C.
(5)Dieu P.
This is my favorite spot for sushi - the rolls are gigantic, the price is reasonable and the deserts are amazing.
(5)Ben A.
I ordered the Sukiyaki and was not happy. I even let the other people i was with taste it and my brother even said it tasted like warm coca cola with beef, which totally describes it. Pretty nasty stuff. MOMOTARO IS SUCKATARO. stay away!
(1)Ross H.
(2)Tim J.
Gave this place a second chance. Not a place I think of when it comes to sushi. If you're looking for a deal based on how much you want to save, then this place might be worth it. Not a place for me.
(2)K K.
The TCR = yum yum yum. i like this place good sushi.
(4)Dee K.
My family and I have been going to momotaro since they opened! The food is great and the owners are wonderful. Very family friendly which in not usually the cause in a sushi restaurant I find. Also there prices are pretty reasonable especially if you go during the day.
(5)Mel D.
Score!
(3)Duffy D.
(2)Mike S.
(2)aurea p.
(3)S. S.
(3)Ryan M.
(5)Myriah N.
I've never had a spicy tuna roll that I've actually liked but here I cant seem to get enough of it... yum
(4)Sally S.
(1)ck l.
(1)Joalena O.
(4)Christy S.
(4)Daisy D.
(5)Ken D.
(1)Cathy G.
(4)Tom H.

(3)Chris M.
(4)Erin C.
ehh... pretty mediocre sushi place IMO.
(2)Cweb C.
(4)E B.
My family loves this place and we frequent it about twice a month. My favorite thing on the menu is the Hungry Roll - yum.
(5)debbie k.
(2)Sarah V.
(5)Michael L.
this is a good day-in, day-out sushi joint. Nice atmosphere, friendly, and good quality for a reasonable price. It's not a wow-factor place, just good food for everyday eating.
(4)Stephen M.
(4)Lina O.
my parents and i drove past momotaro a few times and last night they wanted to try it out. i didnt expect much out of it and good thing... i drove into the parking lot and was a little surprised that it looked full. went inside and was nicely greeted with some "irashai"s that sounded japanese. we were quickly seated and then we took a look at the menu. *shrugs
(1)Alexandra B.
(3)Angelica S.
all over i like this place.the only cons they somethimes a little bit slow.,even if they not busy...food is good....price is ok.
(4)Danielle J.
(5)N G.
(5)T J.
Descent food for the price. Very friendly servers
(4)Ramon T.
Nice-ass staff, reasonable prices, and money-in-the-bank Lobster and TCR rolls...easy parking in the adjacent lot as well. Shit, you gotta love it when reviews come this damn easy.
(4)Ramon C.
Just recently visited this restaurant and had a great time. The sushi was the best I've had and the service was prompt and very polite. The menu was fully loaded and the prices were low. Great place to take a date or a few good friends. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
(5)sharon k.
(5)Scott G.
(4)v n.
(5)Ryan C.
(4)D K.
Great place! The staff is friendly, the food is great, and there's even parking!! I'm usually not brave at trying new things, but the menu has a lot of variety and it's all good. The prices are reasonable, too. Take a friend and share a few plates-- you'll love it!

(5)Evan W.
This is the best sushi place in Burbank. We schlep from North Hollywood time and again because the food is amazing and the service is fast. The fact that they give you edamame and sunumono as you arrive is a great first impression. We may name our next child Momotaro.
(5)Mike C.
(5)Steven A.
Excellent service, very fresh fish, friendly staff, and clean place! You should definitely check this place out if your in Burbank!

Came to lunch today with my friend & really enjoyed Momotaro! Delicious rolls and great service!
(5)Gina A.

(5)Anne-Marie P.
Sushis were fresh and tasty. Tempura were really good as well. The staff was friendly. Highly recommend
(4)Aimee L.
Always delicious, yet service was fantastic tonight. Happy hour specials are awesome and so inexpensive! Love that there are unusual items not found at other restaurants. Perfect for small or large party, work lunch or romantic dinner.
(5)Lori A.

(5)Vivian R.
The food is okay. There are far better sushi places in the area for the same price. I had the dinner plate with bulgogi and the quality/taste wasn't that great. Their rolls are mediocre.
(3)Christine G.
(5)Arman A.
Great place!
(5)Katie S.
Absolutely LOVE this place! Never did I think I'd walk into this place but after I did, I have repeatedly gone back! LOVE their sushi rolls, Samurai and Fire are perfection! One of my new favorite sushi spots!
(5)Elizabeth F.
Love this place!! I highly recommend the sexy roll & Sashimi salad for a hot summer night meal. The service is so attentive and they treat you like family. this is the place to go for some yummy Sushi!!
(5)Alina D.
Best sushi joint in Burbank! My boyfriend and I are here at least twice a week. Great environment, great service, fresh sushi. This is probably the only sushi place I would trust 100% with the quality and freshness of their fish. This is definitely your go to place for sushi. Recommend it to everyone!
(5)Diana V.

(4)Ed A.
(3)Jon N.
(4)Ani B.
The food was amazing! Just amazing!
(5)Isabel M.
What I like about this place is that it is convenient. They have their own parking lot, even when it's busy I haven't had to wait too long to be seated, the food is okay and the service is okay. That is all.
(4)Eliana C.
Happy hour is great! Chefs are awesome and prices reasonable.
(4)David O.
(4)D L.
Be careful with credit cards here. When I checked my credit card statement with my receipt, they charged me two dollars extra. It's not about the two dollars, but how shady the workers are here. As far as food goes, it's your standard Japanese fare. Not bad, but also nothing to rave about.
(2)Brenda S.
Good food, casual atmosphere, good service
(4)kortney s.
