Awesome food A must try! Mike & CoCo are the best. You might get lucky and get to listen to some Yanni while eating. They love Yanni!!! Parking does suck- you can get lucky in the front but if not your in the structure around the corner. Still worth the walk.

I gave it another chance, and I've been going back at least once a month and still love the Chicken Shawarma sandwich...and I swear it gets better every of the time. I have him add tabbouleh to it every time and he does it and always goes above and beyond. This is a very friendly establishment...I think its family owned...and they are always very great! I still haven't given anything else a try since my first experience...but why mess with what works!

Food was decent but delivery experience was bad. I only received a third of my order and when I called to complain I was told I was wrong. I had to argue with the woman at the restaurant to convince her I had ordered and paid for what I ordered, when I was looking right at my confirmation email. I ended up saying "ma'am! Ma'am! Ma'am!", talking over her until she stopped and actually listened to me. She finally deigned to look into it and found out the delivery girl gave my food to someone else. She had to go back to the restaurant so they could remake our order. Food was an hour late and we weren't offered anything to make up for it.

Really sweet owners & employees. Everyone is very welcoming and kind when I go pick up my lunch. You can order online for pickup or even have your food delivered. I always get the shawarma sandwiches. I have tried chicken and beef -- the beef is my favorite. There is so much flavor in that sandwich. Parking can be found in front of the restaurant or there is a structure behind.

Fresh and you can see them cook your food. The service and all the people there are really nice and they really cater to you well. The owner is really nice he came to everyone's table and chatted with everyone and made sure everything was ok. Def really good service and food!!! I ordered the lamb fillet that comes with a choice of soup or salad. The lamb was cooked really well. There's only one downside is that their knives weren't sharp enough to cut all the way through.

Employee was very rude, seating area was tight and uncomfortable, not a pleasant place to eat.

  • Linda L.

Their tabulah salad is nasty, it was dry and looked as if it had been sitting out for a long time and their hummus had a bad rotten taste and the manager refused to remove the hummus off my bill..I would recommend not choosing this place if you want authentic Greek food..

My favorite Greek Food in all of LA. Chicken Schwarma plate is the ticket. Have it with rice or french fries but dont forget grilled onions, tomato, and pita with hummus.

Great food. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.

Good food. Good pricing. When I'm craving Armenian food I'll sometimes stop here. But let's get one thing straight....this place is definitely not serving Greek food other than gyro meat. Be proud of being Armenian and call it what it is. Other than that. Keep up the good job and food.

This place is AMAZING! A big, super delicious chicken shawarma pita for $4.75 that fills me up. You can't beat that! Hummus and gyros are delicious too. I come to Burbank to visit family and go here every time I'm in town. So yummy.

  • Jen E.

I absolutely liked my experience in this restaurant! Incredible service as the food came fast, and the service was prompt, polite and accommodating. The food was delicious! We both had the Knight's Dinner combination of chicken, beef and ground beef (louleh?) kabob. For $13, it was very much worth it. The beef, freshly grilled and very tender. My favorite, the ground beef kabob was superb. Fluffy rice and great proportions. I was yummily stuffed! The salad was good but the baklava which I asked to be served as my appetizer dessert was heavenly as usual. Great service, delicious food and good prices! Will come back when around the area!

This place was small and it's weird because they take uncooked food from the back to the front. The food I ordered the lula beef was raw so we told him to cooked it more but it was still red in the inside. I was disappointed especially the wait was long. I won't go back to this place. There's better Greek food out there in Burbank. Just go to Daphne's.

  • Thais C.

I love Knights. The owner (I am assuming) is always very pleasant and accommodating. I get something from here whenever I am craving some Mediterranean food around Burbank. I love their lamb gyro and chicken+beef lule plate. I only opt for the gyro when I am in a rush, as I prefer their combo plates. The portions are sizeable so I always have leftovers for an afternoon snack or a light dinner. Food comes by pretty fast and their lentil soup is preferable to their salad in my opinion. Overall, a great place to get a quick lunch in the area!

My girlfriend and I decided to check this place out because it has great reviews. We went in, looked at the menu for a few minutes and a man came over to take our order. My girlfriend has certain food allergies so she asked for her meal to have no cheese and wanted to substitute the falafel for rice. The waiter then asked her how he was supposed to accomplish that, as if it were the most insane idea he'd ever heard. She apologized and explained her food allergies. The waiter then made fun of her, asked me how I put up with her and argued with us about her requests. Eventually he agreed and asked me what I wanted. I ordered and he asked if I wanted to be as difficult as my girlfriend was. We got up and left.

Absolutely horrific customer service, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. If you're looking to be treated like scum from the moment you walk in the door, then this is the place for you.

I have order many meals from this restaurant and have never been disappointed. Being that I have only ordered delivery, I cannot comment on the restaurant itself, but the food is fantastic. Their beef is seasoned perfectly and the hummus is creamy and delicious. Thanks Knights of amazing food!

AMBIENCE: C- It was awful. Awkward, and we were the only people in there. Bathroom was gross. SERVICE: D It was empty and somehow we had terrible service. We asked for some yogurt sauce for the bread and he brought a giant bowl and then charged us $4.29 for it! I don't think anyone really spoke English. FOOD: C+ John got the Chicken Shwarma and Kate had the Chicken Kabab Plate. The food was alright. For some reason, they had no hot sauce in the place, no sriracha. There's a lot better greek food. Price was normal and we had a lot of free pita. Portion sizes were good. Chicken was fine. The pita bread was warm but seemed a little stale. Glad it was free though. FINAL GRADE: 2 Stars We can't believe they didn't tell us they'd charge almost $5 for a thing of "yogurt salad". Food wasn't awful but it wasn't that great. Service was horrible for not being busy.

This is one of the cheaper delivery places in Downtown Burbank. They deliver fairly quickly and their portions are really filling. I always order way too much, but it makes for great leftovers. It's keeping a spot in my regular Eat24 rotation.

  • Ara S.

Been here several time. Love the food and love the cappuccino All the desserts are amazing too. Shawarma is good. Some people like the chicken more but I love the red meat. Ask for chicken kabob made with chicken thigh. Their regular chicken kabob is with breast but I had the thigh once and oh my foot. Was great. The owner told me he baught a 18 grand machine for making the specialty coffee drinks. Works like a charm. Order something from the specialty list. It's a steal at the price he sells it for. Good stuff. Also. Don't forget to try the baklava. Some old Greek lady makes it for them special. So bomb. Above everything. I love the owners. Husband and wife combo lol. Nicest two people with great hearts.

  • Michael J.

They went above and beyond. Delivery was super fast. I always get the shawarma and I am always pleased. They even accommodated a special order. Great spot for lunch!

My daughter wouldn't eat anything out of the norm when she was young so this was her first experience with mid eastern food. It is now her and my favorite food for this price range. I have been going now since they opened up at least 50 times and still am impressed by great service and top notch value for reasonable food. great hummus too

    (5)
  • Valentine K.

Not too bad, we ordered the half rotisserie chicken, the hummus, French fries and the cucumber/ yogurt dip. The chicken was moist and full of flavor. The hummus was a bit watered down The fries were fresh. The cucumber yogurt was perfect. Takes about 45 minutes for delivery.

So I'm in town on business and had a craving for a Gyro. My buddy and I drove around searching on our phone for the right place and then fate stepped in. The moment I walked in, the authentic flavor was in the air. I must say, one of the best I ever had. Every bite was packed with lamb. Worth the drive and I will go back next time I'm in town. Best of all, the service was excellent. #5Star

Seeking a lunch spot in "The Village" can be a task with so many choices. The lunch special sign brought me into Knight Restaurant. This Armenian gem served foods similar to Greece and the Middle East, however, there was just something a touch different about the place. Maybe, it was the caramelized onions or grilled tomato. Maybe, it was the music videos playing in the background. Or just maybe, was the sincere friendliness of the staff. Nah, it's a combination everything. If you're seeking a pita sandwich or good Mediterranean meal (priced between $5 to $15 per person), Knight Restaurant is the place to go for lunch or dinner. You'll love it. I did!

My family and I were walking down San Fernando Blvd and were in the mood for some Greek food. We saw this place and was somewhat skeptical based on the exterior. Their sign had Restaurant spelled incorrectly ("Restuarant"), but regardless we decided to check it out. It completely exceeded our expectations. The food and service were excellent. I ordered the Chicken Schwarma. The portion was huge! The chicken was made with awesome spices and a great sauce. Such a good deal. I tried a bite of the falafel plate, and the falafels were delicious and tasted freshly made. They gave us a plate of hummus on the house and that tasted great with the pita bread, and I put a little in my Schwarma too. The service was AWESOME. The guy was hilarious and so friendly. He cracked jokes with us and made us feel very welcome. They made sure we got exactly what we asked for and checked in to make sure we were enjoying everything. The plate of hummus on the house was also an added bonus. I would absolutely come back here. The price of everything is SUCH a good deal for the huge portions you get and the staff is so friendly and welcoming.

WHAT A GREAT LUNCH SPOT! My BFF took me out for lunch for my birthday. We took some leave in order to take a 1 hr lunch. She ordered the shish kabob plate which came with her choice of lentil soup or a Greek salad. I ordered a lamb kabob sandwich. The BFF really enjoyed her meal and brought her leftovers home to her husband and son (they loved it too). My lamb kabob sandwich was only $4.95 and filled me up! A real Burbankian delight :)

  • Cheryl H.

Fabulous food. Fun host. Funky atmosphere. Love it. Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is a blast... At least when the owner is around. The eggplant caviar is divine. The lamb chops scrumptious and the chicken kebob moist and flavorful. I will so be back, and enjoy the option of home delivery as well. A down home delight. !!!

Five stars for online ordering and fast delivery! Sometimes you just need some yogurt sauce.

  • Amanda P.

Fresh ingredients, fair prices, and generous portions of delicious food. For about $5, you can get a pretty big kebab plate. For $10 they offer entrees that come with 2 sides. The tabouli is really good. The restaurant offers free food specials when you order through GrubHub.

    (4)
  • Marie G.

Food was pretty good, I ordered a veg meze, lentil soup, and some desserts. The meze was good, pita average. The tabbouli was nicely seasoned as was the hummus and dolma, and I liked the dressing on the salad - it was spiced with harissa maybe? Both of the desserts looked not-homemade, which was a surprise (one was in a plastic wrap like a little debbie snack). The delivery was $7.

I wish I could give this place more stars, but honestly the food was just ok. The service was good and the prices good too, but it just did not stand out to me. Maybe I will skip the wraps next time and try something different :)

It's not fancy but if you are looking for a place with amazing authentic Mediterranean food, a friendly owner (who cooks and waits tables himself), and a little bit of ethnic flare then this is the place for you! Everything I've ever had here is great! Most recently We had Greek coffee, salma, lamb chop platter, and baklava! Everything was perfect! I don't know what they do to their rice but it is the best I've ever had!

Ahh never posted this review from a few months ago... Just moved to Burbank/Glendale, let's see how many Greek/Armenian/Lebanese restaurants I can review in one day... Knights definitely impressed in terms of price, delicious food, service. We got a vegetarian plate (hummus, baba ganoush, tabouleh), a falafel plate, and a side of Persian salad (cucumbers & other stuff & dressing), for about $32. Good price. Almost enough for 2 people/2 days, but not quite. Only criticisms: interior of restaurant could use some remodeling--it's a bit dark/uninviting, but maybe that's their chic. And the tabouleh was made with huge hunks of parsley that were not too fresh. Could use more attention to food prep and freshness. Other than that, loved it and will be back many times in the future.

Super disappointed. This place has gone down hill. What happened to the good lamb? It use to be tender. The service was terrible and food took a while. Not a happy camper.

A nice surprise in downtown Burbank. I was craving a some Mediterranean, not to mention wanting to explore more of the Burbank area so I decided to give Knight Restaurant a try. It was definitely a good choice. THE ORDER Chicken and Beef Luleh Kabob - 4 out of 5 - The chicken kabab and beef luleh kabob were both really well done. The chicken was super moist and very very flavorful as was the beef luleh. The rice was fluffy and perfectly cooked. The meal came with a greek salad, which was just ok. The dressing on it was a touch overpowering. s3-media1.ak.yelpcdn.com… OVERALL Good option for the area. You can't go wrong.

I've been looking for a great Greek place in LA, my search continues. I got the gyro lunch special with salad. The salad was drowned in dressing, and varied between wilted and passably fresh. I could barely tell that the sandwich contained lamb, although the pita was decent and the hummus spread was okay. The iced tea was way too strong, probably the end of the brew which is a little surprising at 1pm. The ice needed to melt before it was drinkable. The service was even less mentionable than the food. I've been spoken to once, and am currently writing this while waiting for the check. There are more employees than customers at the moment. Sorry, but there are too many good places to eat on this street to come back here again.

KNIGHTS is my favorite Greek spot for food. If you are on the San fernando blvd. strip mall area I highly recommend eating there... The owners are always welcoming and the food is amazing... Priced well and quick if you want to just get it and go... I have been going to Knights for over 12 years and not once have I ever been dissapointed

A solid, friendly meal and at a good price too! We stopped in on the way out of town after a visit to Universal Studios. Knight Restaurant serves a good tasting gyro and the staff there is really friendly, which made for a pleasant experience. We ordered our gyros with hummus and that was tasty also! Street parking seemed a task to find, but we made it happen a few blocks away. Good food, good service, what more do you need to make a decision on where to eat? Happy Yelping!

  • Ellen C.

The service was great, but the food was just ok. I was looking forward to this place because of all the amazing reviews, but the food fell short. The beef lule lacked flavor and was a little dry + chicken shish kebab was ok but was tender. Tzatziki- lacked flavor but good portion for a good price. Hummus-ok. Eggplant caviar-pretty good. Pita-plentiful. Rice-lacked flavor. Salad-good. Lentil soup-meh.

We just ordered catering for 10 from Knights for lunch. Ordering was easy and the owner made good suggestions. We had the chicken breast kabob, rice, greek salad, hummus and mutabal. All of the food was amazing and everyone was very happy. The hummus has a nice smoky flavor and the mutabal also had that nice grilled flavor of the eggplant. The chicken was seasoned well and even the rice was good! Delivery was right on time and they don't even charge for delivery. I will definitely be ordering from this restaurant again. I wish I lived closer.

One of the best little known spots in Los Angeles. I've been going here for 15 years and have NEVER been disappointed. I love the lamb and chicken but I have brought large groups here and we have had nearly everything on the menu and everyone went home happy and stuffed. The price is wonderful for the amount of food you get. Best part, besides the amazing food, is that this joint is family owned!

  • Elle A.

This is my go-to stop to pick up kufta or chicken kabobs for dinner! Rice is soft and fluffy, tabouli and salad are fresh! Great service and they prepare call in orders in 10 min. My fav take out in Burbank.

    (5)
  • John G.

Outstanding lamb gyro and stuffed grape leaves. Moussaka was over seasoned with cinnamon, and I found the dressing on the greek salad to be overly assertive. Portions were large, and the price was relatively low yielding good value. I would definitely go back for the gyro! Service was friendly and prompt, clearly a family owned and operated establishment.

  • Kelvin P.

The food here is usually well seasoned. Each item is made to order so a slight wait can be anticipated. However, the wait time was longer than I would like. The Lentil Soup was watery & lacked flavor which was disappointing. Definitely go with the salad instead. Pork chops were tasty but one was under cooked and raw around the bone. I left the restaurant concerned about food poisoning/salmonella or some other food borne illness. The location is small with tables close together. It is the heart of the Burbank Media District (Downtown Burbank) so parking is shared among all businesses downtown. As with any business in this area, expect to park in a garage or parking structure a few blocks away. Street parking is available out front but it is typically full so do not count on that. The lamb, shawerma (beef & chicken) are excellent. They served the dishes with a large portion of rice, roast tomato, & a pickled pepper. I prefer roast green Chili peppers served by most Middle Eastern restaurants in the area. This makes them different but not in a good way. There are roughly 2 outdoor table in an attempt to offer patio dining but it is not effective. It is really in the entrance walkway to the restaurant which is narrow. I have eaten here multiple times so I am forgiving on the pork chop preparation. I am not discouraged from trying it again because I have had pleasant experiences here in the past. The food is usually good cooked appropriately. I will give them an opportunity to redeem themselves in a couple of months.

I ordered the lamb gyro (sandwich) with fries and the greek salad through the Eat 24 app. I also requested delivery to the hotel I'm staying at. Overall, the food was good and the delivery service was fast. The delivery charge is slightly high ($6.00), but I suppose its reasonable considering L.A. traffic.

Great lule kebab! Juicy, tender, secret house recipe. Lol. Great service too. Also, I'm a big fan of the salad. Very acidic and fresh. Been here several times. Next time, I'm gonna try the moussaka.

Very good food and service! We had a party of 25 and it was more than enough food. The food came out fast and hot very delicious. the place its self was very clean. the only thing was parking was difficult to find. I would definitely visit this place again.

My favorite Burbank restaurant. We have this place deliver food to us twice a month and they are amazing. The food is always warm and the salad is delicious. Make sure to try the fish because it is so tender and well prepared. This is must try place.

This place has great reviews and their food is not terrible. I actually feel a little bad giving them three stars but this is not my favorite Mediterranean food. Maybe it's because I lived in Hollywood for so many years and every time we ordered Mediterranean it was either from Ro Ros or from Al Wazir. Those two places are by far the best in my opinion. Knights I didn't care for, for a couple reasons. 1. I ordered the chicken schwarma and it was unlike any schwarma I have ever had. This was big huge chunks of chicken with a reddish colored seasoning and a large grilled tomato on top and a couple onions. Not on a bed of rice but on a bed of lettuce. The schwarma from Ro Ros & Al Wazir is just so different and soooo much better. 2. They do not serve garlic sauce with any of their plates. Most places automatically give you a side of this with your entree but Knights does not. Make sure you ask if they even have it. 3. Grape Leaves were very hard like they were a couple days old and the flavor was especially tart. I like lemon on my grapeleaves but this was a bit much for me. In conclusion, their food was not bad & I definitely think you should try it. But then go dine at Ro Ros or Al Wazir and only form your opinion then. I probably will not order from here again. Now that I am living in Burbank I will just have to go out of my way for my old Hollywood spots.

This is located on San Fernando by the Burbank mall. It's a quaint restaurant with very reasonable pricing. The staff was very accommodating and personable. My boyfriend and I ordered the gyro, which was a bit dry. The fries were crispy and fresh.

  • David X.

This place is solid and consistently delivers tasty food in large portions at a good price. My favorite is the salmon kabob. The rice even has just the right amount of spices to give it a kick. I'm making this a regular spot.

AWESOME FOOD. One of my favorite places to order from. VERY fast delivery, too! My housemate and I usually get the Beef Shawarma Plate (Gyros). Haven't actually had anything else yet, but I'm sure it's just as delicious. The fries and baklava are great too. The portions are great deals for what you pay! 8.75 for what usually lasts me two meals, not bad at all! I highly suggest checking this place out, you won't be sorry! :)

  • Nicole B.

I am in Burbank, quite often and let me tell you. This is one of my regular places, I like to dine. I need to stop ordering the lamb, and try something different. I had ordered the gyro once, by mistake. I wasn't a fan. But anything lamb is golden. Knight restaurant is easy on the wallet, and delicious. The people that work there are really friendly and welcoming. My usual to go to lunch/dinners are the lamb kebob sandwich and the lamb chops. I usually get people from work to come here, to spread the knowledge of tasty Mediterranean treats. Next time. I will try something different!

Delicious and affordable Greek food, with a friendly and colorful staff. I had the combination chicken and ground beef plate. The chicken was flavorful/ tender and the beef was delish as well. The staff seemed a little out-of-sorts the day my friends and I came in, in that one person took our order, then another served us (maybe there was a shift change?). The second waiter tried to take our order for the second time, then didn't have a clue who ordered what. This wasn't a huge deal, as clearly he was trying his best; but he kept coming back and apologizing unnecessarily. This situation was mildly amusing, rather than problematic. Overall, we had a great experience. The next time I'm in Burbank, I would definitely come here again.

Only one take-out experience with Knight Restaurant, but it certainly didn't live up to the 4-star reputation. We ordered online, so we could pick up our food on the way to the Hollywood Bowl. When we arrived, the food had been packed, but there was some confusion as to what food we were owed. (The guy almost shorted us a falafel order, and he did miss that we had bought a fourth drink... we caught the mistake.) All in all, service was strange, a little slow, and not very friendly. The kicker is that their printouts for online orders show the customers' entire credit card numbers. Thaaat's not secure. As for the food, the falafels were tasty. The beef shawarma was dry but otherwise good. We liked the roasted tomato that comes with each combo plate. However, our friend's chicken kabob was unbearably salty. (Too salty has got to be a new way to mess up chicken, right?) Note also that the beverage selection on the online order form doesn't match the online menu's. food: 2.25 stars value: 3 stars service: 2 stars overall: 2.25 stars

I really enjoyed my Chicken Schwarma Gyro. I take note of whats different visually on the plate from other places, but the biggest thing for me is how I enjoy the flavors overall. I felt like the Chicken was very tender and popping with great flavor. I normally don't care for the texture that onions have, but I didn't mind it in this Gyro. Job well Done! I have yet to dine here, I usually am on the go and order take out. So I cant comment on the dining experience. Fish Fried plate is great as well, great portions and need I say again, great flavors. Try it for yourself.

The Shish Kabob & chicken Kabob is fantastic. What I like best about this place is that is feel like a home cooked meal....obviously something I don't get often lol. Very authentic and the staff is super friendly. Btw Greek Beer is smooth. Hope this helps you.

Seen this place a million times, finally stopped in. The food is good - I got the Knight combo (I think it was called) - basically a meat kabob and a lula kabob. The rice was average (as were the prices), the meat was good, and the pita bread and hummus were very good. Will definitely come back again.

My new favorite restaurant! The staff was so friendly, I want to go again NOW and I still have delicious leftovers in the fridge! Check them out; you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic service, fantastic food. Everything is super moist and flavourful. I'm usually disappointed by the rice at restaurants because it's the one thing my mama taught me how to cook to perfection, but I gotta take my hat off to the chef at this place.

Nice little place in burbank on San Fernando road. I've passed by here countless times but finally decided to stop in when I saw their gyro special. Lamb gyro and salad for under 6 bucks. Super small place but nice staff and a few tables outside. The gyro was awesome and the salad was fresh. Great food for a great price. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

My friend and I only came for some desserts. We ordered the vanilla ice cream filled puff pastry, the three tier pistachio, strawberry and chocolate sorbet/gelato, and the pistachio and saffron gelato on top of a wafer. I thought the puff pastry was too dry, thank goodness the ice cream was there to make it a little soggier but it still wasn't enough. The pistachio, strawberry and chocolate sorbet/gelato was really pretty with three different colors and was a pretty big flavor blast when it hit your mouth, but I felt like the flavor combo wasn't quite right. It looks better than it tastes. The pistachio and saffron gelato had just a tad too much saffron and not enough pistachio flavor. The saffron overpowered the ice cream and I really didn't like the taste of it. Overall, I felt like the desserts looked better than it tasted. I think I would come back to this place, but for the appetizers and entrees and not the desserts!

The food is delicious. I have never been to the restaurant because I always have it delivered. It's hit or miss on the delivery time; it usually takes longer during peak operating times like Saturday nights but otherwise is pretty quick. The portions are big and we usually have more than enough for leftovers the next day. The chicken schwarma (gyros) platter is my boyfriend's favorite. I love their chicken kabobs. The hummus is also a favorite of ours. Everything I have had from here has been good. Use EAT24 for easy ordering.

Aside from everything else I love about this place... I recently ordered the Sawarma, they tossed it on the grill for a couple of minutes. My life was never the same again.

Seriously...I hate myself for not ever noticing this place. I've passed it plenty of times while in my car. So, when on foot trying to find a place to eat with some friends, I happened upon this place. OMG! Why did I never come here before?!?! This is why it's good to explore because I was always stuck on the usual places. Anyways, they have a really great menu and the prices are really fabulous. A great price and great food makes smiles all around. LOL :) I had the chicken gyro with fries. OMG! A little over $6 and VERY filling. Chicken was moist and so flavorful. YUM! Plus, we ordered hummus and eggplant dip (I forget the name, but it wasn't the spicy eggplant dip) to share in our little group. Sooo good with pita bread! Oh, yah! Pass me the carbs! LOL Fine, there was only 3 of us. Can you say, "MOOOO"?!?! Because we felt like heifers after. The server we had was very nice, helpful, and very patient because we couldn't decided what to get. He gave us great suggestions too. They have a pretty decent size menu that you'll be wondering what to get too. it was awesome too because they have great deal on alcohol too. (I need to come for this next time.) :) I realize maybe the reason why I never noticed this place is because the store front doesn't really pop out at you, but once you're inside it's actually quite nice. I can't wait to come back. maybe the next time I'll be the one tipsy unlike one of my friends. LOL Woohoo!

Here I was thinking that I found a new spot and I was shocked when the waiter told me that they were there for 17 years!! Great food and the atmosphere is very nice. I like the decor. Its warm and inviting. Mike was our server and he was great. Ordered the kabobs to try them out and I was nicely surprised. Just enough food and priced right so that you don't feel the pinch for a lunch meal. Love this place and places like it!

Good food nice restaurant and cool peeps serving you up. Negative spot: One of the employees let some nasty bum come in and drop a deuce in the bathroom. Keep those bums in the streets where they belong!!!

I love this place! You won't get a better deal anywhere else with the portions they serve. I usually get the lule kebab plate and it's really good! It's a cozy atmosphere with a friendly waiter! If you are ever in Burbank please check this place out, you won't regret it!

Chicken Breast Kabob meal under $9. Came here with my BF to celebrate Diana O's birthday. The restaurant is in the nice part of San Fernando Blvd. The street is tree lined and full of people. Parking is an issue though we found free parking a block and a half away. There are places to park in front of Knight Restaurant but were all taken. Outside of the restaurant we were greeted warmly by one of the guys that works here. The restaurant is clean. We were the only customers when we got there. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant which I thought wasn't too cool. I ordered the Chicken Breast Kabob meal. The kabob was juicy but too salty and the condiments were off. The basmati rice was a bit overcooked. The lentil soup that came with it was very tasty. Their hummus is also very good. The pita bread was warm. I also had a stuffed grape leaf thingy which was OK. I tried my BF's ground beef kabob and it was OK. His Greek Salad was a bit too vinegary but it looked beautiful. They use nice green pieces of lettuce. The portions here are not too big and the price is not too high but the food is average to meh. Service here is exceptional. Our waitress was very nice and the man that greeted us earlier is very, very nice and attentive. He wished Diana a Happy Birthday a couple of times. He actually was not stingy with the alcohol on her margarita haha! We were having a really good time so we stayed a little bit after they had closed. They didn't kick us out.

I came here for lunch just from being in the area and searching Yelp reviews. The restaurant is small and pretty cheesy looking but the food looked good. We got hummus and grape leaves to start. It came with pita that was hot and fresh. We got the chicken shwarma sandwich and a Greek salad. It was all so good! The dressing on the salad was delicious, the chicken was so flavorful. And the portions are pretty good sized. My friend got a Greek beer that she loved and it was only $3! Grape leaves and hummus were $3.80 each. The waiter was super friendly and cool. I will definitely go back when I'm in the area.

I love Knights. I don't know how "Greek" it is, but the food is excellent. I am very picky about my falafel, and theirs is excellent; I appreciate vegan / vegetarian options. Everyone who I bring here loves it. They love the fired fish, the beef shwarma, their version of tzatziki (i forget what it's called), etc. They have less expensive pita options for lunch in case you don't have the budget or desire for a whole plate. And the staff is always very polite. Oh, and they deliver!!!!

One of the best Greek Restaurants in town. The food here is really good with both Armenian and Greek options. The staff are really nice and do a good job explaining things on the menu. My girlfriend and I ordered the Chicken/Beef Shwarma plate even though it was technically not on the menu. The shwarma is one of the best I've ever had. Juicy, salty and delicious. The entrees come with either a soup or salad, which I love! The special sauce on the house salad was also delicious. The lentil soup was also worth getting. We also ordered the Moussaka, which was cooked to perfection and washed it down with some Armenian beer. The portions were excellent and overall really great service. If I am ever in Burbank this is the greek place to be.

My favorite place to eat in Burbank. Great for vegans and vegetarians, too. Ingredients are always fresh, the food smells and looks as great as it tastes, and everyone there is warm and inviting. I spoke with the owner yesterday and he told me they've been there for something like 17 years. There is an obvious result of care and pride in each dish. I had the lentil soup and the greek salad with a basket of warm pita and a large greek beer, finished with a couple of armenian coffees. It came out to $13. The servings were generous and every bite was delicious.

I LOVE this place! I've had food delivered from here several times, and it's always amazing! My boyfriend and I just ate inside the restaurant for the first time, and we both loved it (and he's an extremely picky eater). The atmosphere is intimate, and the food is delicious! The hummus is to die for! The drinks are VERY reasonably priced, and everyone here is welcoming! This is one of my favorite restaurants!!!!! I highly recommend this place for a romantic night out, or even just something more casual.

This is a nice hole in the wall restaurant offering yummy food. I would give it 4 stars, but I gave it 3 because the gyro that I got was a bit too greasy. I could not eat the gyro with my hand so I ate it with my utensils. After eating all the insides and moving onto the peta bread, the bottom was soaked with grease. YUCK! So I had the chicken gyro which was pretty good. I also had a side salad which was only $1.75 extra. The salad was a bit too drenched with dressing. I do want to come back here though to try different stuff. The service is great. People are nice. The small restaurant is cute. I will be back again when I am back in Burbank! :)

Awesome lamb chops with awesome rice with colored stuff on top. The falafel appetizer was just okay as I found them kinda dry but they tasted fine. The owner and worker guys were super friendly and I felt very welcome there. They also grilled a tomato and it was really tasty even blackened from their grill. The salad was good and fresh. I hope to come back here when I am killing time waiting to drop off someone at the Burbank airport.

Knights Restaurant: an interesting name for a Greek/Armenian restaurant hehe Decided to give this place a try for lunch with the BF and it was okay. I've had better Greek food (Papa Cristo's) but there were a few good things about Knights. The Greek salad that we each ordered as a side to our sandwiches was very tasty, especially the dressing! I would recommend ordering this, since they give you a decent serving with cucumbers, tomatoes and feta cheese and top it with some delicious, tangy, kind of spicy dressing. For the main I had the chicken shawarma sandwich and my BF had the beef shawarma. The sandwiches don't come with fries, it's just the pita but it was a lot of food so I wasn't concerned. However, some of my chicken pieces were pink so I was worried they were undercooked... I had to pick a few chunks out of my sandwich. The flavor was pretty good but I really wanted some tzatziki sauce to lighten up the flavor. They put hummus inside which made the sandwich feel really heavy... and since I'm an onion lover I felt like they skimped on the onions!! I had a taste of my BF's beef pita and the flavor was better than the chicken. In the end Knights was an okay experience but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

As it states .... Mediterranean and Greek. Talking to the owner I leaned that this place has been here 19 or so years. When it was first on this stretch of street there were perhaps a dozen or restaurants. These days in a few short blocks there are over 85 restaurants. In any event, these folks have been here a long time so they must be doing something right. Judging from the packed house it I may be correct. The place is clean and organized. One of us had the Beef Shawarma Plate (Gyros) combo. Two of us had the combination plate - Chicken Kabob and Luleh Kabob Plate which was served with rice and grilled tomato. This entry also came with a salad and some fresh and warm pita bread. Side note on the salad.... Fresh, nice size, ample portion of feta cheese and terrific house dressing which was a mix of lemon juice, olive oil and spices. Value for the dollar was quite nice. Portions looked like what one might expect but there was more on the plate than is seemed visually. I am still stuffed as I write this review a few hours after lunch. I posted a few shots of the salad and the sandwich and one of the two plates. Very tasty, great service, nice value, comfortable decor and atmosphere. I will return in the future.

So good!! Went yesterday for lunch/dinner. Got chicken/luleh combo. Salad dressing was a lil salty but everything else was to my taste and superb friendly service staff. Would definitely go again. Temperature inside was a lil warm for me but who cares, everything else makes up for it.

WARNING: Be sure to wear some stretchy pants prior to meal... you'll wanna eat alot! *buuuuuuuuuuuurp* Wow. Okay. Where should I start? My bf and I first came here 2 years ago after partying for 5 days at Coachella. Due to that, we built up a huuuuge appetite. I have been CRAVING this place for sooooooo long and always thought they were closed on Sundays (that's what yelp said). WELL IT IS NOW!!!!! Last week we were down in east LA visiting family and hit up the Nordstrom Rack in Pasadena. Thankfully, my bf reminded me this mouthwatering restaurant was only 20 minutes away....... and it was 'bout that time to eat... We stroll in around 2:30.... and we get.... +++Persian salad (dressing sooo delicious) $4.75 +++Djadjek (yum, crisp, fresh, YUM!) $3.80 +++2 plates of hummus (I have never found hummus ANYWHERE better than I make it... Well.. maybe I should say "better" but I havent found a restaurant yet that has made me want the recipe/ingredients) $3.80 +++5 falafel (perfectly crispy, shaped, NOT DRY!) $4.95 +++Greek salad (mmmmm more feta cheese please!) $4.75 +++Chicken and beef luleh plate (salty, bbq flavor, succulent. Also came with a side salad!) $9.25 +++ $3 beers Sounds like alot of food right? Yup, definitely right... we were STUFFED. But damn was it "Good Eats" as Alton Brown would say. Someone's past review said: "Don't expect the guy who prepares the food to follow any special instructions even if anyone acknowledges it will happen. I always ask for no tomato on my order and almost every time I find tomato everywhere" ----My take on that... you are absolutely insane to not like tomato. Thats the majority of every freakin' Mediterranean dish. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Don't blame the dude that prepares it... it's on the waiter that screws it up. DUH. Even then, the owner has always served us and never has any flaws. I haven't been served by any other servers.... but honestly..... no tomato??? psh, weirdo... We left restaurant full, satisfied, and waddling to our car at 3:45. (Had to sit a while to make sure we could stand and walk.. haha) Conclusion: Dear lord... come here. I almost wish I didn't eat so much only to be able to try a dessert. I REALLLLLY wish we could have. I will DEF be back and make another attempt... and try to not get so full. Can't help it, flavor so food, couldn't stop!

I harass this place regularly with my $30+ take-out orders. I recommend the beef Shawarma, and the Falafel. SUPER GOOD! Also, the hummus isn't bad; kind of has a kick to it. I prefer this place over Zankou, or any other Burbank Mediterranean food spots, any day, every day..

SO. GOOD. I loved their chicken shawarma sandwich! They're falafels were pretty good, a little on the dry side, but still really good with the dip. Ended it with the mint chocolate ice cream. SO PRETTY...and delicious. The staff here is so sweet! I'm definitely going back soon!

I LOVE This place! First of all the best part of this place is the $4-$4.50 cocktails. They are not made with real hard liquor but a wine supplement that is still 20%! They are insanely YUMMY! Second of all their food is AMAZING! I have loved everything I have gotten there! Their pork chops are amazing! I also love their pizza and other meals. Also their pita bread always tastes super fresh and warm! The only thing you need to watch out for is the olives. They have pits! I'm not going to lie... I've chomped down on a pit a few times. OW! I also love their silly decor and awesome music videos that play while you eat. So good!

This review is simply for the gyro and service. I usually have to drive to No/Ho for my gyro fix and they close early so I have not had one in months. I was craving one bad today and I have tried almost every Mediterranean place in Burbank/Glendale since I moved here a year ago. I have enjoyed none of them. Knights was on my "to try" bookmark but I was so jaded I held off. Tonight I was desperate. I ordered my lamb gyro and went to pick it up. There was NO parking! I drove around, every lot was full, every open spot was handicap. I parked in the red zone and called them to tell them I could not find parking. They walked it out to me! I was so happy! I tried to tip them but they refused. I got an awesome gyro and amazing service for $5! I will definitely be back... often!

I have been loving to eat Greek food for 45 years. I've never had a bad Greek meal, that is until I ate at this restaurant. I ordered the vegetable plate. I was so shocked at what I found. How can anyone ever make bad tabouli. The falafels were small as quarters and didn't have any real taste. The salad didn't have any taste either. The hummus was good. I just don't understand how anyone can make Greek food taste so bad. I went to inform the manager. Perhaps it was a bad evening, maybe the cook was ill, or something like that. I shared my experience with him as a productive critique, and of course he got all bent out of shape instead of taking it as a customer service moment. Fairly certain I won't ever visit this establishment again.

Craving for something different, I found this amazing restaurant. Thanks to Yelp! Where do I start? Hmm... Both the Lamb and Shish Kabob were perfectly cooked. So were the Grilled Shrimp. The dressing for the salad was on point. Some places serve their dressing way too sour for me. Their stuffed grape leaves were also good. Had some leftovers to snack on in the middle of the night too. I have posted pictures for everyone to enjoy :) We had our food delivered and the delivery guy came within 30mins. We live two blocks away from Ikea, but our house is very hard to find. If it wasn't for our location I bet our food would've been delivered within 15mins. Anyway, our food was still fresh and warm when we opened our to-go boxes. Big plus! Thank you, Knight Restaurant, for a delicious and filling dinner!

Knight restaurant is pretty good. I love whatever they put on the hummus...I want to say cummin? The pita bread came out kind of burned, but I'm sure thats a fluke. I ordered the chicken and luleh plate. This came with a salad starter, which had an interesting dressing on it. It was kind of an overwelming flavor, but I like it. With the main dish I got a grilled roma tomato and rice. The luleh was pretty bland and dry, but the chicken was super tender and tasty. Next time I will probably try the beef. I think the kitchen is right in the front of the place behind the register which I think it weird and the food preparer woman has to walk across the dining area with all the raw meats to the front. It gets pretty hot in there and I'm assuming its so they can save money on air conditioning? God I hope the food is kept in a super refridgerated place. The menu is pretty extensive so I will definitely try something else another day!

This place offers very good food at great prices. I think that this is the perfect family restaurant as you get an amply quantity of good food and it won't hurt your wallet. You can also get a discount off of Restaurant.com . They do not carry all of the traditional Greek offerings that you would expect from a Greek restaurant, although they do carry a few. This is really a standard Kabob joint. What's interesting and unique about this place is that they do all of their cooking in the front of the restaurant in full view. At times you hear the staff arguing with each other in Armenian which makes for some good entertainment, even though I don't understand what they are saying. It is not a large restaurant, but is nicely decorated and has a nice layout with seating outside and on their second floor. It is well worth a try if you are in the area and the above is what you are looking for.

I'd give it a 4.5 and it's the best Greek place I've been too so far. Seems kinda family owned. Parking: -Burbank the parking is pretty easy as there are 2 large parking structures on orange grove. Food: -Hummus was great -Falaful was great (I don't even like Falafle normally and I don't know how to spell it :P) -Chicken Sulvoki was great (Moist and juicy/delicious) -Beef Sulvoki was really good (Very delicious) -Peta bread was pretty good -Rice was good/decent -Lamb chops were not worth it (kinda dry and not cooked right) -Salad was nothing special. -Soup (lentil) I didn't try but all my friends said it was ok and needed some salt and pepper for flavor. Environment: -They were playing seline deon the whole time we were there, music and performances on a small tv. -Little cramped, with not too much space for a big group. I would say it probably can seat about 20 people total. -Workers we all pretty nice, but a little slow. But good service over all. I will go back and I recommend it.

we've been going to Knight for years and its always a good meal. I usually get the falafel plate and my boyfriend gets various meat dishes. Service can be a little slow at times, but the salad is amazing and the food is always hot and fresh. It might not be the most authentic Greek food (its not) but its cheap and there's lots it and its got great flavour. almost forgot... you better like Yanni or armenian music videos, because that's the entertainment offered

  • Ursula G.

I ordered the Chicken Kabob plate and Persian Salad which are alright. I've had much better. I also had this delivered but the guy took much longer than what they quoted me AND I gave specific instructions. I also ordered a drink which I didn't end up receiving. When I called them back they claim I wasn't charged for it but that's complete bullshit cause I ordered enough to make their steep $15 minimum. Anyways...won't be ordering here again.

  • Nancy T.

Knight has great food, tasty gyros in particular. Unfortunately, do not expect them to deliver anything. Out of around 5 attempts, I had my food delivered smoothly once. Another time, it took over an hour, with the driver calling me several times because he was lost (despite the fact that we live near a major intersection and shopping center in Burbank.) As for the other three times, twice we were told they weren't delivering that day, and a third time they took our order, then called back 10 minutes later to say they were unable to deliver, again. Moral of the story? Great food, sub par customer service.

  • L. A.

I've ordered take out from this place a number of times...I'm basically working my way through their entire menu! Their lamb gyros is really tasty as is their shish kebab. The food is well prepared and tastes fresh and homemade. If you order take-out in person, you'll see them put the meat on the grill right in front of you, so it's cooked to order and not sitting around in a warming tray. Also, when you order on the phone, the guy is always friendly and gets the order right, "my brother!" If you want some solid Greek food, you gotta try Knight.

Knights Restaurant....... to sum it up........ GREAT!!!!! excellent food, exceptional portions, great service, and to top it off, if i don't want to leave the house, they deliver. everything I've tried has been as fresh as could be. some of my favorites: lule Kabob, great cuts of T- bone steak and rib eye, one of the only place's i like the rice and hands down, best hummus. ...reminds me of my moms cooking back home....

Yes! This place is yes. I wish I could have it right now. I get some sort of spicy luleh kabob plate when I sit down there. It's so good, way better than a cheeseburger and comes with a perfect greek salad. I hope they still serve this next time I'm in town or else I'll have another tragedy on my hands like when taco tree changed into a japanese... bla... whatever. Hammos is on point and I'll get this alone with pita to go sometimes. Gyro if you want it to walk down the strip. The main guy is as cool as can be. Yes.

This place is my favorite lunch spot! My sister and I go here alll the time. We usually share a combo kabob (chicken and steak) plate with luleh, an extra small salad, order of hummus, endless pita bread and two drinks all for under $30. The portions here are VERYY generous and everything is always fresh! YUM-O! The people who own this place are always super nice and welcoming!

  • Ayelet I.

I am really beginning to hate the pill. Every 28 days or so I start crying over nothing and become the most irrational moody gal you've never been so happy is not your girlfriend. But it's not ME, I swear. I was famished and after seeing that nothing desirable was in the kitchen came here because what could make me happy like falafel could, and I needed a reason to be happy in the wake of my now dreaded monthly visitor (don't get all TMI on me, half the population gets it, it's not that freaky). I was all ready to be satisfied. Then I got to the place and the moodiness kicked in. 'Fried garbanzos in bread, Ayelet? Enough carbs to make that period bloat a happy memory,' said my pill-addled brain. Fine, I'll have the chicken shwarma, I like chicken. Big ass mistake. The people working there were very friendly and eager to help me decide, it took about 2 minutes to make my food and it was seriously cheap at less than $5 but once I got it home and opened it up I was totally disappointed. It was all dark meat. There were, I counted, 2 pieces of white meat. I do not eat dark meat. Call me spoiled, bratty, picky, difficult, etc., you won't be the first. But I can't stand the taste and texture. So other than a few nibbles at the pita, which was delish all toasty with the sauce from the sandwich, I will give them that, I was totally out a dinner and in a bad mood. I will try it again because hell if I know another place in Burbank for Middle Eastern food, but next time I will stick to the falafel. I know that right now I am of a less sane mind and body than usual but as an ardent white meat lover, I wouldn't be able to give the place a higher rating for my experience than I have. ........................................................................................................................................ Edit: 3/30/08 I went back for the falafel sandwich tonight and while the falafel was flavorful it was also quite dry and without enough sauce (expect for one part of the sammie that was all sauce...). I liked the lettuce and the bread was top notch, it was dense and filling and cheap, so it will do in a pinch but there's better falafel to be found outside Burbank, that's for sure.

4 stars for the food and an extra star for the friendly owner&employees! I remembered when I used to work at a japanese restaurant nearby last year, i ventured down san fernando during my lunch break. I wanted something healthy and I already love greek food so when i saw Knight, I immediately sat down. At that time I tried the chicken gyro and their vegetable soup? The gyro was fresh and delicious and the soup was my favorite part of the meal! It was soooo unbelievably flavorful, fresh, and delicious! That's why after my workout today, I came back to Knight because I remembered their delicious soup. Today I got the chicken KABOB gyro which was even more delicious! Since I tried the vegetable soup last time, I ordered the lentil soup. My bf ordered the rib eye with salad&rice and omyyy was that salad sooooo gooood!! We scoffed down the salad then moved onto our entrees. Everything was so fresh and delicious but most importantly you can tell the authenticity of the food. Love it here! The owner always makes conversation and the employees always ask how everything was, definitely my favorite greek/mediterranean food joint! FRESH, AUTHENTIC, and DELICIOUS i mean what more can you ask for (:

I don't know how the hell they do it, but this place pumps out great Greek food out of a kitchen the size of a bath mat. The kitchen is in the front of the restaurant surrounded by glass with the usual vertical rotisseires stacked with layers of beef and chicken. The owner / manager/ waiter is a blur of activity and still manages to be chatty and personal. The food is inexpensive and well prepared. The Shawarma plate is under $10 and is loaded with salad, meat, perfectly moist and seasoned rice, humus, and pita bread. Nicely lit dining room (romantic) and big clean bathrooms. Music would be better if they served hard liquor or had a belly dancer. The sandwiches (Gyros) are big, tastey, and cheap as well. $6 Call ahead for pick-up and double the time they say it will be ready! Great value for a neighborhood spot stuck in the fast lane of "the strip" in Burbank.

For some reason I ignored this place for years. When I finally went, I regretted having been so stubborn. I've now been there at least a dozen times and enjoyed every one of them. These guys make very good Mediterranean style food. As Rob R.'s review states, the kitchen is a tiny area tucked behind the cash register where one guy works -- at a seemingy relaxed pace -- to deliver plate after plate of great food. The waiters are attentive and make you feel very welcome. If you want outdoor dining, I'm pretty sure there are only one or two tables. Forget the Zankou on the other side of the mall. For practically the same price, Knight's food is much better and you get table service.

Soo ya.. am I the only one that doesn't like this place? Bleck, I thought the food was pretty nasty. I had the chicken shawerma, which made me want to vomit, literally. My dining partner had some kabob, which was okay, but being Armenian, I know that it wasn't great or even pretty good. The owners are Armenian, but they didn't know I was Armenian, and they said a comment (not about me personally, but about serving me my food), that really, really turned me off.. It wasn't anything gross, just something rude. So.. as nice as they are, I guess it's pretty much an act sometimes, though probably not all the time. Anyway, they WERE nice regardless of whether it's an act or not, so I give them that.. they went out of their way for an item on the menu for me, so I appreciate that. But the 1 star review comes mostly for the food, and partly for the comment they said. The location is good to the theater, but I'd much rather go to Hawaiian BBQ on the corner, or try some other kaboby places around (there are some within walking distance). Atmosphere was okay, but.. the food just didn't cut it for my (real Armenian) taste buds. And no, I'm not asking for too much.. I know what I like, and this just isn't what I like. It's not very good, to be honest! So, sorry Knight, although we said we'll be back.. that was a big, fat, juicy lie just like the oddly fantastic reviews of your place.

The night we dines there were only 4 tables, and the service was very fast efficient. Food was good but not exceptional in my experience of Greek, but the quality/price was fine. FWIW they are open until 9pm on weekdays vs. the 8:39 shown on Yelp.

Yummy, a hidden gem. East of AMC theaters & Burbank Mall hoopla. You just gotta walk a block or 2 to get there. Upfront street parking available if your lucky. Lookout for mom & pop restaurant with red neon, knight theme colors of gold & red chair covers & swords on wall. Friendly service. Food is abundant & tasty. 1/2 grill chicken dinner was amazingly juicy, tender, seasoned just right. But really, we come for the falafel, its magical. Its seasoned just right & w/ a fluffy interior. They have desserts but we're too full to try any. Come when your really hungry though, this place will hit the spot.

I order from here on a monthly basis. Their chicken is delish and the customer service is GREAT. I've had the food delivered and before they arrive they call to confirm where I live, once they arrive they greet me with a smile and quick conversation. I will remain a customer and definitely recommend them!

Small, unpretentious Greek/Armenian restaurant, family owned and operated. Very friendly, and the food is very good and very, very reasonably priced. Don't miss the excellent appetizers and homestyle lentil soup.

This place is cheap, extremely friendly, they deliver and ITS DELICIOUS! I order it at least once a week...it's best hummus I've ever had, and their chicken salad has an amazing marinade. The grape leaves are fantastic as well!

  • greg b.

Yeah, decor is a bit kitschy. The food is very good, especially for the price. I had the hummus (excellent), the whole roast chicken (very good and only $7.95!), Armenian beer (recommended). Service was fine. I would definitely return.

  • David S.

Very good Lebanese/Armenian fare, with some Greek dishes. Excellent baba ghannouj. Try the lentil soup. Very friendly owner/maitre d', who will get to know you if you return. Atmosphere is simple, with some medieval stuff that must have been left over from a previous incarnation as something else, but the prices are very, very reasonable and the food is good. Since most of the reasonably priced places in Burbank ...er... suck... it is a big plus that this place is good and reasonably priced.

I saw the great reviews and decided to try this place for lunch. I thought it was good and the reviews were accurate: The server/manager? was friendly and made us feel welcome and appreciated. The food was good - tasted good and looked appealing. The prices were good - not a steal, but a bit less than at comparable restaurants. I like that it's not TOO cheap - which always makes me suspicious ("um...is this really BEEF?") The kitchen is strangely small, but you can watch them cooking your food. The kitchen is split with the cold prep area in the back and the cooking area in the front, so a lady has to bring all the cookable raw meat items through the dining area to be cooked up front. Hey, it's what you do with what you've got, right?

A wonderful eating experience. Went here because it was one of the closest places with good reviews to the LA zoo, and was more than presently surprised at the great taste and the great price as we pigged out on great mediterranean eats.

Went to Knight last night for the first time. I got the chicken breast kabob and it was very good. Even better are the prices! For $9, I had a full plate of chicken kabob with rice as well as a side salad. The owner is very hospitable and welcoming.

The gyro here is simple and amazing! While the ambiance and service isn't ideal, the food is the best greek in downtown Burbank.

  • Cynthia Q.

All I can say is "Yum, yum give me some!" This is hands down my favorite Greek restaurant in the LA area. The service is incredible, the food is delicious, and the prices can't be beat. I love the linen table cloths and the fact that it feels as if you're eating in a much more expensive restaurant, yet the price is right! This is definitely one of my fav restaurants and is in my constant rotation!

  • Julia S.

In many ways the Knight restaurant is just another hole-in-the-wall Mediterranean restaurant on San Fernando, but the host is a delight and the food is a great value. I have never had a bad experience there. I particularly like to eat there when I have some time to kill before a movie and want something better than a slice of pizza. Good value and great service. They do not have their own parking lot, but there are several public parking garages (free) in Downtown Burbank.

Wonderful!!! I LOVE this place. The food is always good and the owner and staff are friendly (The cook does look a little scary at times lol). Now I must admit that I've only gotten the chicken and I cant vouch for anything else. I've been coming here for at least 8 years. Damn...now I'm getting hungry...

I Love, Love this place. The manager is such a great guy. My girlfriend and I have been here many times, but I just never got around to writing a review. The food is always awesome and priced VERY cheap compared to other similar places.. I basically only eat the kabob plates. The service is outstanding. I am never left with an empty cup or for that matter an empty plate. They always have these cheesy greek/mid eastern music videos playing on the TV which amuses me to no end. It's not only the food that keeps us coming back, it's mostly the social environment .

Easily, one of the best places in Burbank for dinner. The food is always really very good, well portioned (even large portioned), and the owner/manager guy is friendly and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable, including their beer and wine prices. And if you can keep yourself from the Baklava, step next door to Yogurtier's for some amazingly cheap and tasty frozen yogurt. mmmmm but that's a different review. I love to see my favorite places get a lot of traffic- for selfish reasons, of course, it helps them stay open. So, if you like Mediteranean food, please do yourself a big favor and make the trip to Knight. You will not be sorry.

Great portions for the price! Taste great. I really like the salad dressing. Hummus was ok. I don't see how another reviewer saw Celine Dion on tv, I always watch Yanni concerts on their tv. Service is great! Although this place doesn't look great from the outside, it's worth a try!

i've been eyeing this place for the last few weeks and i finally got the chance to sit down and grub. my school friends are kinda picky so it's hard to get them to venture out of their comfort zone. me... i'll eat anything or at least try anything. my love for mediterranean food has grown. i love dipping the pita bread into the hummus. i love chicken kebabs. i love the beef kebabs. i love the garlic dip thing. i love the rice. i just love it all. the service here was pretty great. my friend kept telling them that we were on a tight schedule so they were able to accommodate us pretty fast since i had to get back to class. it got pretty packed in here at lunch time so try to avoid the wait.

We had lunch here the other day. We all loved it. The side salad was excellent, and so were the gyros. The atmosphere was warm, and the prices were good. Also, the people who waited on us were really nice. I'll definitely return.

This is 1 of the restaurants that make Burbank such a great place to live. The food is really good. I've never ordered anything that isn't edible. I've tried their lamb racks, armenian pizza, kabob, and many more ... they're all really delicious. The portion is pretty big for me, so I can usually share 1 plate + hummus and pita with a friend. Price is very reasonable. Service is GREAT! what more can you ask for?

    (5)
  • Courtney M.

Their food is great. They put a lot of attention into the detail. I usually get the 1/2 chicken rotisserie plate and they give very large helpings. They have a great side salad and the rice is good too. The seasoning on the chicken is great and isn't too greasy.

  • selina v.

You have to try the Lamb ribs- it's my favorite item there! It's juicy and tasty and a decent meal for under $8. (It's not on the menu- just on the board on the sidewalk.)The eggplant thingie is also really good- I can't remember what's it called but it's like hummus. The owner is also really friendly and we make a point to go there once a week. My husband loves the chicken kebabs and we always leave there ahppy!

OMG get the Gyros! It was amazing! Plus when the server forgot to bring my diet coke she felt horrible and brought out free salads and pita bread. I'll def be back :)

Everything I've ever had here is excellent, but I love Gyros so much that I can't ever resist ordering them. The times I've gotten it to go, when I got home it was still so hot that I couldn't eat it right away. Incredible. And I'm convinced they put crack in the Mutabal.

I absolutely love the food here. For the most part, all the employees are very friendly. They recently added a very cool indoor balcony to make the restaurant interior look like a castle courtyard.

  • Michael N.

I thought this place was delicious. The prices were affordable, and the service was very nice. I was able to get tomatoes and cucumbers for a salad. The meal was also very affordable. What really made the meal for me was the baklava and turkish coffee for dessert. This was the best.

  • Arica T.

I had been going to the Golden Chicken until recently because I got sick of their horrible service and way of treating customers. We decided to try Knight, which I didn't know about until very recently because it is a bit hard to spot, seeing as it is a very hole-in-the-wall type of joint. But the food was excellent and the service was very friendly, you actually felt welcome at the establishment. I had the chicken kabob and I can't tell you how good it was. My boyfriend had the salmon kabob and the fish was so tender and juicy. Traditional basmati rice with seasoning, tomato, and pita bread which was delightfully fluffy. Comes with soup or a salad, and the salad was amazing, too. Very big portions for a smaller price, and healthy considering. I will never go back to Golden Chicken again, they treated us so dreadfully and the food was more expensive. Knight is definitely my new favorite Mediterranean restaurant, and I plan on recommending it to others.

This is a GREAT place to get a fabulous meal for a VERY reasonable price. We decided to eat here before going to a play at the Colony theater. Get this; we had the cucumber appetizer, pita bread, chicken shwarma plate with rice, a dinner salad and split a beer all for $17, yeah $17 dollars. The meal was so goooooood. We would eat here again in a heartbeat. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.

The only thing I've had here is a chicken Gyro pita, or whatever you would call it. It was so dang good, wow. It looks more like a sit down restaurant, so I almost kept walking, but I could see through the window the different meats on the rotisserie and I had stop. I'm glad I did, because it was tasty, the marinated chicken was carved right off the rotisserie, crispy on the outside, totally juicy, and well seasoned. I can't speak to dining in, or delivery, or any of that. Just ordered a gyro to go, and it was only $4.50.

The food here is delicious! That's the first good thing, the second good thing, in this world of too good for you servers is the service. Mike is one hell of a host. When he is there it's like you are royalty. The chef is awesome and always enjoys a compliment on his cooking, and you WILL compliment him. The Hummous is devine, but please don't stop there, and don't let any of the exotic names for things put you off. The Mutabaal (eggplant) is sublime - the tabouli fresh and tangy. Every dinner and lunch plate comes with your choice of home made lentil soup, (REAL home made taste!) or their fresh salad covered in a tangy oil and vinegar dressing which is light and flavorful. Their veggie plate comes with all the favorites, and is served with a generous basket of warm pita bread. They also have a nice selection of Armenian and Greek beers which are enourmous and tasty - especially with their food. The falafel plate comes with a heaping serving of the most delicious rice this side of my aunt's kitchen. It's light, slightly olive oily and comes with the most delicious grilled onions and tomatoes! This place has it all, and for under $30 inclucing tip and a coupld of beers, you can have it all too! They do have limited outdoor seating, and downtown Burbank is one of the only places that now bans cigarrette smoking, so your meal won't be all cancerously gross (unless you like that sort of thing) if you do score one of the tables outside.

The service was friendly and timely. The price was descent. The food was okay. The decour was a tad overdone, but it's about the food. I'd go there again and try something else on the menu.

Knight Greek & Mediterranean Cuisine is one of my favorite restaurants. Salmon, shish, chicken kabob plates are my favorite dishes. Hummus was delicious with a right texture and it's not very sour, perfectly matched with some warm pitas. Greek salad is part of the Kabob plate, wow, the dressing and some feta cheese made this salad so yummy. The Kabob plate came with a skewer of each meat, the meat was tender and flavorful; taste was not too strong like what I got from somewhere else. The place is small, but it is very well kept and comfortable. We got very friendly and attentive service.

  • Zeinoon M.

Very rude delivery guy!!! This guy shows up with my food and demands to be tipped. I told him you guys charged $5 as a delivery fee. He says that's what Grub Hub charges and not the restaurant. He lied about that ( i later checked with Grub Hub). I tipped him and he didn't like what he got so he told me not to order from there again. Like i was gonna order from them again. Very rude driver, and the food was so so at best.

  • Dave G.

Really enjoyed the food here. You wouldn't think lentil soup would be a big deal - but their's was fantastic. The humus was homemade and delicious, and the chicken, meat and rice were pretty much perfect. Will go there again - and bring some friends next time. A tad understaffed - but the waiter (owner?) was friendly, and made us feel welcome...

Every time I go to Ikea in Burbank, I always try to head over to Knight Restaurant for lunch. I've never been disappointed by the Chicken Gyros Sandwich and Lule Kabobs. They also serve a delicious mutabbal that is one of the best I have ever had. Come here on a nice afternoon and enjoy a delicious lunch outside. The service can be a bit slow if they are busy, but the wait staff is very nice and the food doesn't take long.

  • Risa G.

I love greek food, and have given this place 2 chances...I'm sorry to say it is just not up to par. The hummus and fallafal and chicken kabob were not bad but not great. We need some better greek in Burbank! But for the time being, I would pass on this place.

The food is beyond excellent. I love that it is family owned and I see a familiar face every time I dine there. I first discovered it with my boyfriend in September and I've been back 3 times since! I resisted the urge to go back a few days ago the food is just too good! You must be patient with the service, since all the meals are made fresh and to order it takes some time to receive the main course.

  • Amy P.

Service is great! Nice family-owned business. The owner is very friendly and hospitable! The food came out very quickly and was hot and tasty. The housemade hummus was excellent! Interior: very warm and inviting with the mix of reds and golds. More on the quiet side-which I actually prefer. Food: I ordered the Combination Plate of Shish, Lule, and Chicken. I'm not a fan of any kind of ground beef,(lule) so I asked to substitute the lule for more chicken and shish. Both the chicken and the beef were so tender! Melt-in-your-mouth goodness. I had told the owner that it was my first time there, and came because I saw the good ratings on Yelp. He was so delighted, he gave me a free side of their hummus! I am definitely coming back to Knight Restaurant for my Mediterranean fix as well as a nice welcome back from the owner!

Kitchy. Hole in the wall. Authentic. 5 stars for the great food and cool vibe. Family restaurant serving authentic Mediterranean food. Fantastic service, felt as if they were all family / owners. Very attentive and proud of their food. I felt like they were old friends, as if we'd been there 100 times before and they were glad to see us again. I had to giggle at the prices, very inexpensive. I saw a bottle of "French Champagne" on the menu and I blurted out "we have to order that!" Come on, $17.00??? It was actually a real french Champagne, Veuv du Vernat Brut. - perfect with the food. We ordered the garlic chicken (a whole chicken, cooked perfectly). Hummus, Persian Salad, Greek Salad, Eggplant dip (2 types) and Falafels. Everything was fantastic, but it's just a cool hole in the wall family owned neighborhood joint. Loved it.

Granted I've only been here once, but I had such a healthy, satisfying meal I wanted to add my review to the bunch. I was staying close by, and wanted something quick, and delicious. I easily found the restaurant in downtown Burbank, and looked at the menu posted outside. While I was looking, the owner came out to greet me and invite me in. If I hadn't already been fairly sure this would be where I was dining I might have been put off, and ventured down the street. After a couple of questions, I settled on the salmon gyro with 1/2 Greek salad at $5.95 posted as one of their their specials. They had a couple of meats roasting on the spit, I'm assuming lamb and beef. The decor isn't fancy, and a little loud perhaps. It's definitely family style, which was fine since I wasn't looking for fine dining. The staff and owner were very friendly and personable. The salad arrived soon after I ordered. Classic romaine, cucumber, tomato, and red wine vinaigrette with herbs, as well as feta. The dressing was light, and tasted home made. Soon after, my massive salmon gyro was delivered. The pita was soft and warm, the salmon fresh, moist, and not fishy, and the romaine and tomatoes fresh. The tzatziki could had used a little more garlic, but it was delicious. If there had been a little red onion it would have been perfect. My only regret is not ordering some hummus to go for tomorrow. To sum it up, they offer healthy, fresh food at affordable prices. Fine dining it is not. I can see myself making a return visit when I'm staying in the area. The delivery option is a huge bonus. They require a $15 minimum, but that wouldn't be difficult for two or more people. Having leftovers wouldn't be a bad idea either.

This restaurant is about a block away from the AMC theatre. When I walked in, there was nobody in the restaurant. And it kind of looked more like a fast food joint then a place with waiter service. Here are some of the items that we ordered. Kings' Combo - Shish, Chicken & Lule $12.95 Whole Chicken with garlic sauce $10.95 Pork Chop Eggplant Caviar Hummus The Kings combo was very good. Everything was juicy and tender with the right amount of seasoning. The shish kabob was real quality meat. The whole chicken was tender and juicy and it was a pretty big size chicken. Nothing like Zankou chicken. Zankou's is on the dry side with very little meat and the chicken is so small. Not to mention how pricey it is. The pork chop had good flavor and tender. I did think that it was a little on the salty side. The eggplant caviar had good flavor with the roasted peppers. The hummus was one o the best I've had. It's not the best, but pretty close. One thing I have to mention is the owner. He was very friendly and courteous. Although he didn't refill any of our drinks, I still think that he enhanced the experience for sure.

We tried Knights one day when we were looking for kebob delivered, and so glad we did cause they're food didn't disappoint :) Their chicken was so juicy and flavorful and the beef luleh was soft & seasoned well. Loved their rice too! My hubby got the falafel plate, and it was a little drier than he preferred, but the hummus that came with it made up for it. I'm glad we tried Knights, cause we now know where to get tasty kebob when we're around San Fernando rd. or @ home!

This place is awesome! I never had Armenian food before and so glad this was my first! The inside is clean and the staff is very friendly. What we ordered: # 11. Stuffed Kufta (3 pcs) Ground beef sauteed with onions, seasoned with exotic spices and stuff with buglar. 5.95 # 28. Chicken Breast Kabob Specially marinated chunks of filet skewed tomatoes (BBQ) 9.25 # 20. Combination Kabob (Chicken, Beef, & Luleh) 12.95 Dessert: Trio Spumoni 4.50 Side salads came with our mean and a thin long grained rice was also on the plate with some sort of spice on top of the rice. Even though we were only in the area for a few hours from out of town I would want to stop here again if we were ever in the area. The Dessert was not so great but the entrees were yummy so I have to deduct one star for the dessert not being fresh.

In the mood for a "YEE-row" and this place delivered. I've had good ones and really bad ones. This place was tops. And older gentlemen, I"m guessing the owner, invited us in and set up our table immediately. While ordering he recommended the humus as the best. I would agree, the spices and extra oil added to it made it amazing. I would definetely come back to this restaurant when I visit Burbank again.

As the first Greek restaurant we've been to since coming back from Greece, this restaurant had a lot to live up to. While the food doesn't even come close to anything we had in Greece, it's pretty decent when compared to other American Greek restaurants. Our only quip was that the Tzatziki was way to watery...the yogurt being used should be thick!

i took my boyfriend to celebrate his bday. it was 11 people in total we all like Mediterranean food especially the humus. Let me tell you the prices are cheap, and the food is to die for seriously!!!!! the salad is soo good and the humus what can i say delicious. Everybody loved it, best food and humus than any other place. The place doesnt look too eye catching from the outside, but when you walk in, it looks very fancy. the staff is super friendly and funny.

A friend of mine took me to this place about a week ago and i am thankful that he did so. The service is pretty friendly and the food is pretty good. I had the falafel plate, the humus, the chicken shawarma plate and the lahmajun and everything was excellent.. I know some of you might think that the restaurant doesn't "look" that appealing as it have outdated furniture but once you pass that and taste the food you just want to come back again .

Knights is delicious! Customer service here is superior. You walk in and really feel like a part of the family. All the food is fresh and yummy... I've tried all the kababs and none have let me down. My boyfriend is a die-hard for their Salmon Kabab. The prices are very reasonable and the food quality is excellent! I recommend coming here anytime you have a craving for kababs, Persian, or Mediterranean food. *****

Best hummus in town! They should change their name to "Hummin Hummus" as I don't get the Knight thing at all. They have some swords stuck on the wall... is that supposed to mean something to me? Is there a famous Armenian knight whom I should be aware of? Sir LanceAsad perhaps? Lunch is good. I always get the lule kabob/ chicken kabob combo. Comes on a big bed of basmati rice, accompanied by a fresh greek salad with the delicious extra-tart and zesty lemon/herb dressing. Face-shriveling good! Friendly service to go with your tasty hummus and pita in one of my favorite mediterranean places in the Burbank area. Don't forget the hummus!

Gosh darnit ! I really like this place. Although my frequency does not reflect my appreciation for Knight, I must say that each time I've come here, I've sampled a different dish and have yet to be disappointed. The kabobs are made just right, somehow juicy all through the skewer and they have a great spicy sauce to accommodate. On the next hand, you can't go wrong with their rice. Call me Asian, but their rice isn't of the skimpy rice pilaf/ uncle ben's variety, no sir, it's fluffy. Especially when the kabobs are laid on top, the rice sucks in the juices and makes for a mean sidekick. On the other end, there's the service. This place is like a mom and pop. Sure, they want to sell their goods and there's a hint of a "car salesman" feel to it, but it doesn't matter. They're friendly, and would more than love to talk to you about their plates, making sure you are satisfied. They're willing to throw out true recommendations and won't let you leave disappointed. Please come here. You will liiiike.

There are not enough stars for this total find of a restaurant. I had a client take me there on a whim a couple of weeks ago for lunch and it's hands down the best Greek food I've ever had and the staff is really great. They're funny, gave us a complimentary dessert, and are easy to chat with. Go there now.

Great food, good service (especially if you're a regular, they remember you), through a bit forgetful (once you've been served, they don't often ask how you're doing). I'm never disappointed.

I think Yelp probably shows I am a regular, and there is a reason. The food is delicious. I get the same thing every time - Lula Kabob plate. rice. meat. salad. yup. They deliver, too, which is a huge bonus. There is a reason why this place is one of the highest rated restaurants on Yelp for the area. Give it a try. PS Their hummus is spectacular - get a side of hummus to go. I was eating it with a spoon after I ran out of pita bread.

I had a bunch of free certificates to use and decided to take out my lovely friend Amy to go eat here. When we got in, I thought it was a palace as if i was Aladdin, lol. Lovely small place! The owner greeted us to our table. He's a cool guy, friendly, and funny too, thought i was in some sitcom show, lol. He is always there to make sure we are good with our food. Food: For our appetizers, we order Hummus and some pita breads. Tasty Hummus! Scrumptious! For the main course, I've ordered the Lamb chops (Amy told me lamb is baby sheeps =/ lol) and I think Amy ordered the shis and luleh (Beef Sausage and Choice ground beef mixed with special spices, tomatoes then barbecued.. Both came with Greek salad, but you can change salad if you want though. I like the Greek salad, it's great. I have to say, the amount of food they give you is generous, very large portion. We didn't even finish our hummus. Finished like 10 percent of it, we had so much left! Yum Yum I let amy take the hummus home, lol and oh yea we got some Baklava! not that sweet, but good enough. Conclusion: Good portion of food, Cool Guy that work that or owner that make you feel you're welcome, Food was great. The price is not that bad, even without a certificate. So I would recommend everyone to come try it out, Go take out a nice girl or guy to eat!

HOLY CRAP this place is amazing. My GF turned me onto it and had been ranting about this place for a few years now. So this past weekend we finally got the opportunity to check it out and WOW, it was everything she promised and more. We decided to get lunch with some friends and once we arrived we were greeted warmly by the staff. We ordered and the food came out quickly and Mike (possibly the owner) was there to check on us and make sure everything was great. GF ordered the lamb chops. She will never order anything else when she is there. She loves it that much and once we all tasted it, we can see why. So flavorful, juicy, and cooked to perfection. It was so good that she made sure everyone got a piece of the chops to taste a bit of heaven. If you know my GF then you know that this is an extraordinary measure since she NEVER shares her food. lol. I got the Lule kabob and chicken kabob combo. Now I love kabob but having a Israeli stepfather has given me a bit of a high standard for kabob. The Lule at Knight did not disappoint. It was spiced just right and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it 4 days later. I can't recall what everyone else ordered as I was in a full state of awe as soon as i started eating. I do know that our friends really enjoyed their meals as well. So to sum it up, Knight has incredible middle eastern food and the lamb chops and lule kabob are highly recommended. Oh and the Hummus is great too. Oh and did I mention how great the prices are? And finally, they have beer on tap and you can get pitchers. AWESOME!

I ate here about a month ago, and keep thinking about it. We met friends here for lunch. Because the tables downstairs all seated 4, and we had a party of 5, they took us upstairs to their banquet room. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We got falafel, hummus and pita as an appetizer. The hummus was a tad bland for my taste, but the texture was lovely. Between our group, we got kebabs and lulah, lamb and beef shwarma, and a gyro combo. We all traded bites and everything was fantastic. Staff members kept checking on us, talking about how they cooked and prepared the food, and made us feel like family. The baklava was wonderful, but a tad too sweet (swimming in honey). They comped this amazing frozen mango dessert for my daughter, and it was so delicious! As we paid, all the staff talked with our group at the register, and after about 15 minutes of conversation, they all seemed sad that we were leaving. I'm not out in Burbank very often, but this will be a must eat whenever I'm in the area.

Ive only had the gyro from here. i ordered to go and it took them about 5 minutes to knock it out. So fast and cheap! It was delicious and filling. Nothing special though. The service was great. the owner and i chatted while i waited for my sandwich. I will be back to try a full entree soon!

If you're from the Burbank area, you know that there is an abundance of Mediterranean restaurants around. There's something about Knight though that I haven't found anywhere else. It's a small restaurant with limited seating but they deliver and offer pickup as well. Their chicken kabob and beef lula are both amazing. They are seasoned perfectly and juicy! I have a friend that swears by their lamb chops also. The owners and staff are all incredibly nice and go out of their way to make you feel at home. If you're looking for some amazing kabob, you should definitely check this place out!

Per my friend Alex's suggestion, we went to Knight Restaurant on our first full day in Cali. It's this small, almost hole in the wall (at least it appears so, from the street) place where the delicious and familiar smells of Greek food welcome you as soon as you step in. I ordered the chicken kabobs, which came with a bed of rice and a small side of Greek salad. The chicken was tender and packed with flavor and complemented the rice quite well. I'm picky about my Greek/Persian/Etc. rice, but this restaurant nailed it. It was fluffy without being dry and had the perfect amount of taste, without it overpowering the chicken. The portions are big, so I was able to eat twice, and it's reasonably priced. There's metered parking in front, but if that's full, just park at the mall and walk. It's probably a five minute walk and you'll want a bit of exercise so you can stuff your face without feeling guilty. And as a note, the guys working there were really nice and attentive. Great customer service!

I read a lot of the reviews before I decided to try this place out. I knew mostly what to expect before I arrived and was not surprised nor disappointed. One more note this is probably more of a 3.5 than a true 4 rating, but I felt it would be good to round up. This is what I would call an upscale hole in the wall restaurant, exactly the kind of local non-chain place I love to patronize. It looks for all intents and purposes to be family run, though I am not 100% sure of that. Upon arrival I was seated promptly while I waited for my companion to arrive. She arrived about 10-15min later because this is downtown Burbank and parking can be a challenge on a Sat night. I had already ordered a couple of ice waters and the hummus appetizer which arrived at the table just before she did. The hummus was delicious and creamy smooth along with the yummy warm pitta bread that was refiled for us as well. I ordered the combination dinner because I could not decide which protein to go with. My favorite ended up being the chicken, then the filet followed by the lulu. All were good, but the chicken was best overall. Flavorful, tender and moist. The filet was tasty, tender and cooked appropriately, but one of the pieces was a bit grissely, the only reason it came in second. The lulu was very well seasoned and probably some of the best I have had, but just a tad bit dry, maybe a minute less cooking time would have been better. The restaurant had groups come and go while we were there, never quite full but consistently busy. My companion and I were enjoying our time chatting so there was no hurry. The service was good, friendly and always attentive but not overbearing. While it did take us about two and a half hours to have dinner, that was not at all the fault the the restaurant, that was our choice to share that much time with one another there. We surely could have got in and out more quickly as some of there groups did. And of course if all the tables were full we would not have camped out so long. Some things I can see others may have not liked that did not bother me. The gentleman/waiter/cook/owner that helped us does get a bit familiar with the guests, even first time guests, chatting and touching me on the shoulder. It did not bother me at all, but might some others. He can be a little difficult to communicate with along with his wife I assume is the other server. But nothing a simple request to repeat something cannot work out. The decor is interesting, but that is part of going to a hole in the wall to experience something different, right? Overall, the food is good, the people running the place are nice and easy to get along with. Go and enjoy, just know what you are getting yourself into and rate them accordingly.

I discovered this place back in 2003 when I worked in Burbank. Ever since then it became a regular spot to dine. Their combo (chicken kebab & beef lule) is off the hook! Hummus is delicious! Their lebni is bomb!

I'd give it infinte starts if I could!!! Knight is my favorite restaurant! From day one, Mike and Coco made me feel like family (and still do). They have also become like family to me, as we always manage to keep each other updated on life events when I come in. I am always greeted with hugs and made feel at home. The food is beyond amazing, as are the quantities and prices of every dish. Must haves: - Sarma/Grapes leaves (ask for them grilled)- Mike always does this for me, even when I don't order them. It gives it such a wonferful taste. A definite must! - Hummus (homemade taste, rich in flavor and addictive)- don't get full before your plate arrives. Trust me, it happens. - Egglplant Caviar (the roasted red pepper gives it such good taste) - Greek Salad (the homemade dressing is beyond amazing. I even ask for a side of it to pour on my rice). - Lule Kabob (seasoned to perfection and so juicy and tasty). - Chicken Breast kabob (tasty, flavorful and juicy) - Salmon Kabob (fresh and seasoned enough without being overpowering) - Lamb (my husband's favorite) - Coffee (small, strong, and delicious) Prepared Armenian style. - Baklava (best Baklava I've ever had) Every time I come in, I end up staying for 2 plus hours. There's no one else like Mike in the restaurant business. He is always on top of everything and remembers everyone's order after your first time there. He doesn't even need to write it down on most occasions. He is friendly, funny, and so charismatic. The restaurant is cozy and nicely decorated and you will always find "regulars" there. They also offer catering and delivery, both services I am extremely pleased with! I can go on and on about the greatness of this place. I honestly miss it dearly, now that I have moved. I used to come in at least 3 times a month before moving. Now, I make it a point to eat here EVERY time I am in the Valley. I love love love Knight and it's staff members. Thanks for always providing great service and having the best Greek/Armenian food EVER!!!!

the owner knows what he's doing. i realized i ordered an a la carte instead of the combo when i went to pick up my to-go. he said, no worries, rice is on the house. woowhooo! and he did not skimp on the portion either. the owner obviously cares about his business and customers. delicious meal and reasonable price, i am sad that this place in burbank and too far, otherwise, i'd go three times week if i could. p.s. i recommend lamb kabob.

Is this a Greek or Armenian restaurant? The owners seem to be Armenian, and I'm not Greek, but the food didn't taste like Greek to me. 1. Location: easy parking, right on San Fernando 2. Food: okay, but didn't taste Greek to me 3. Service: excellent

We were previous regulars here, but only go now when we are in Burbank. They have perfect gyros and the eggplant dip is a total must have! Ask for your gyro "Mike style" and it comes with feta cheese.

This establishment lives up to and exceeds their 4-star reputation. I'm not too sure about the credibility of some of the negative reviews because my fiancé and I had a wonderful experience here. The food was delicious, especially when putting into perspective the amount of time it took for us to order and receive our food. We actually felt as if we were at home vs. the traditional restaurant experience you get elsewhere. This is by all means a 'hole in the wall' family run restaurant that strives to keep their customers happy. Just wish we had found this place a lot sooner. 19-years of not knowing about this place (they've been open for +- 16 years) is just too damn long...

So far I've dinned here twice and both times I've ordered the Vegetarian Plate. The hummus is delicious, the sarma are delightful, the falafel are crispy and tasty. and who can go wrong with a Greek salad. Another point to mention is that I am NOT a big fan of tabuleh but apparently I have had bad tabuleh in the past because I LOVE it here. Things I don't like: The waitress who is an owner or relative is blah...no personality and when you ask questions she doesn't really answer them...I think there is a language barrier. I asked for iced tea and received a Snapple fruit punch, I asked again for tea and received a Snapple Mango drink...... The other thing I didn't like is that the Veg Plate is supposed to come with Mutabal and it never made it to the plate. Something I love (other than the tabuleh) when we went to pay the bill the owner asked "how was your meal?" I told him it was better the first time, there was no mutabal on the plate. I also mentioned that I loved hummus but it was a very small portion compared to the tabuleh that encompassed half the plate. In addition I complimented him on the tabuleh and told him it was the best I have ever had. He intern apologized and sent us home with a free to go order of hummus and pita bread. He genuinely cared about his customer and made a good attempt to send us home happy.... that's good business.

What I like most is the complimentary salad that comes with my combo plates. It is zesty, sour, with crumbled feta (?) and some kind of oil. I know I didn't make it sound good but it is. Let's talk about the (read: bad) service. I think the owner or manager waited on us. Almost everyday I go to lunch with my coworker who, objectively speaking, is scorching hot. Usually guys who take our order flirt and move on. THIS guy asked us 3 times in the same 1 minute what we wanted to drink and GOT IT WRONG ALL 3 FLIPPIN TIMES. He apologized and said to my coworker, "It's just that your eyes are so beautiful." I expressed twice that I wanted lentil soup (needed something for my sore throat)... AND A SALAD CAME. Ok so I like the salad but it wasn't what I ordered. Then he blamed it on the poor kid who brought us water even though he wasn't the one who took the orders. Then the guy came back out 5 times to apologize, etc., etc. but it took him 2 return visits to remember to get our utensils to eat our salads. Wtf? Why pay for a hairy guy to do a bad/redundant standup routine and get your order wrong hella times? I can just go to a nearby McDonald's and they'll only get my order wrong half the time.

  • Rachel S.

This is a restaurant that even if they mess up an order, you still can't be mad at them because the food is consistently amazing. We almost always order the same thing - the combination plate with hummus, extra rice and pita bread. The hummus is really good, and I love the rice. My favorite on the combination plate is the beef, it is always cooked perfectly and is so flavorful. We've done takeout, delivery, dine-in, and the food is always good. Even if they mess up our order (like they did last night, we got salad instead of hummus), we call and complain, they are always very apologetic, and we can't stay that mad at them because the food is still so good. Love love love the people here, very friendly, and the Aris beer is good as well. You get a lot for your money.

Solid option for a combo mediterranean plate. I've ordered delivery from here a couple of times and while it won't blow your mind, the food is good quality, tasty, fast and the delivery guy was friendly during our brief interaction. Plus, I love that I can order my deliveries online to avoid any miscommunication over the phone, and unlike some places they still respect that order the same as if it was a phone order.

Really some of the best mediterranean food you can get in the Valley. The owner is always there, and he waits on you hand and foot. You really do feel like you're eating in the dining room of somebody's Greek seaside home. I have had the chicken as well as the beef and lamb shwarma. It is wonderful. The plates are absolutely filling and you will take some food home. Highly recommend!

4 stars because " Yay I'm a fan". Yes, THIS PLACE HAS DELICIOUS FOOD! The hummus, (spelled Hammos on the menu, obvious typo) (cute) IS THE BEST I HAVE EVER TASTED hands down. Mike is super friendly. The food is very tasty, VERY FRESH!. atmosphere is a little bit like a foreigner decorated it. (oh wait, they ARE Foreign!) ;-) Prices/ portions are great AND THE BEER IS ice cold and CHEAP! $3.50 for Pyramid Heff, $11.95 for a pitcher!! (since when have you heard/seen a bar in L.A. charge the SAME PRICE for imported as domestic?!) and the Armenian and Greek beers they have in bottles are fantastic (also $3.50) Kilikya, Erebuni and Aris. MUCH tastier than American beers. Complaint: the chocolate mousse dessert WAS FROZEN just like another Yelper said. "Hey, Knight owners, Mousse is served cold not frozen like ice cream". next time i should say something.

Best in Burbank! I'm always on the look out for amazing (and cheap) mom and pop style ethnic foods. The $4.50 sandwiches caught my eye and now I have a new favorite spot! The lule is absolutely amazing and the service is great! They aren't the fastest on their feet, but who's in a rush when there's good food and friendly people? I'm guessing I know who the owner is because he's there every time and he always comes by the table to say hello. I had ordered a salad and was waiting for my sandwich so I could eat them together, he saw that I wasn't eating and stopped to ask if everything was ok. I told him it's great, but he was very persistent in making sure because he thought I might not have liked it. (and I did, the salads are delicious!) I'm grateful to have found such a great spot near my new home!

The hummus was ABSOLUTELY delicious! They serve it with warm pita bread. We ordered a lot this night because we had a Restaurant.com deal for $25 off so we had to order a minimum of $35. We ordered the Shish & Lule Plate and the Lamb Chops Fillet Plate and the Lamb Gyro Sandwich. It game with 2 greek salads. The salad was amazing. We loved the Shish and Lule Plate and also the lamb gyro was just perfect! Even the fries were perfectly salted! We were a bit disappointed in the lamb chop fillet plate. The meat was a little too tough for us to chew. So we had difficulty eating it. But other than that, we still had a great experience here all in all. The service was pretty good. The server was very informative and very friendly.

i noticed someone elses posts about the hours and yes, as of the day we were there, Yelp had the wrong hours. My boyfriend LOVES this place, so we went. He was SO proud to take me. I was impressed that the owner remembered him. My b/f hasn't been there in a very long time b/cof work but he still remembered him (i love that!). The food was good. But we got there early for dinner seating on a weekday so i think that my meat was cut off earlier and so it was a little dry. And our waitress left after we got there. There was no "turnover" to a new server or anything so I felt a little "abandoned". But it was still good. Three stars is "A-OK" by yelp. We were definitely "in between" their general serving times for a weekday, so it felt a bit awkward. I'd definitely try it again. Not sure this was helpful at all! lol! ps - their iced tea was GREAT and i'm VERY particular about that! *Ü*

Food - 3 stars, Service - 5 stars, total - 4 stars! Went here for lunch today while making a visit to Burbank for work. I'm a big fan of Mediterranean food and this place had some good reviews so I thought I'd check it out. Not too bad! The food was tasty (I had the Lule/Shish combo plate), not AMAZING, but definitely good. The service was awesome! The guys that work there are great - very kind and helpful. The type of Mediterranean was mostly Greek with some Lebanese influence. They had Persian entrees as well, but you can always tell by the bread which was closed, fresh baked Pita Bread. The decor was a little tacky, but I think it's cause of the space they're in. It's a little dive kind of space, but they tried to do fancy Greek inside, yet they have an order counter with a window as you walk in. It doesn't quite match... but fine none the less. If you're in the mood for some Greek/Lebanese style Mediterranean and in Burbank, this place isn't half bad!

The food here is amazing. I haven't tried everything on the menu, but the things that I have tried were delicious (tabuleh, house salad, lule, roasted chicken, shish kabob, lamb chops, hummus & beef shawarma). The amazing thing is that the price is very reasonable. The service is wonderful as well. They treat their customers very well. They're very attentive, accommodating and friendly towards the customers. The owner spends a few minutes and chats with us every time I dine here. He does it with most of the diners and he remembers his repeat customers. This is definitely one of my favorite establishments because of the quality of their food and service!

The tasty: The salad. WOW. The dressing was fantastic. No really, delicious. The rice was also pretty damned good...along with my husband's laule kabob. Tender and juicy, it was the highlight of the meats. The eh: I ordered chicken schwarma. It didn't look anything like I'd expect from schwarma, but I wasn't about to not try it. Honestly, it wasn't my favorite. My husband thought it was ok and he took a couple bites. The fantabulous: The service. These guys were awesome. Super friendly and kind. 5 stars for service. I'd recommend this place for someone journeying to Burbank.

My husband and I were walking around looking for a place to eat. Found this greek restaurant and I am a big fan of Greek and Armenian food. I have to admit that the humus was the best we have ever eaten. I love this little place. The rice was not overpowering in that they do not serve a hugh amount but very adequate portion. The chicken kabob was very good. My husband had the lamb and he said it was the best he has had also. The owner came over and chit chatted with us and I would definitely go back.

I ordered off the eat 24 app. This was my second time ordering from this restaurant...i ordered the extra pita bread (6 pieces), and when they delivered it, I received one cold loose pita in a brown paper bag, and then a store bought 5 pack of pita bread. The food was all thrown together and not as tasty as the first time I ordered...don't think I will be coming back.

Food was pretty average and ambiance was a little foreign, which is good depending on your mood. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back here. Unfortunately, Greek food is too similar to Armenian and Persian food from my perspective, and there are a lot more options besides this place

Great food and outstanding service. Went out if my comfort zone and tried dishes I've never had before. All were good. Thanks Yelp reviewers for recommending this restaurant.

After going to Knight for years I finally tried the Salmon Kabob. It was delicious :-)!! The seasoning was perfect and it was cooked just enough so that is wasn't dry. Most places over cook the salmon, not Knight. Also, the waitress gave me a free piece of Baklava because I never tried it there. It was just divine.

Review based Solely on delivery I have had food delivered twice and have had Lamb gyro- was ok I might order it again Hummus - is tasty one of my favorites that's why I was upset that they forgot to put it in my order the second time Beef kabob-- was ok the meat is tender but lacks flavor it's a bit bland And the Falafel- deliciousness some of the best I've had these alone earned this spot an extra star so final evaluation if ur close enough for delivery and craveing some greek or don't feel like leaving home give them a call (make sure they have ur order correct oh and and try the falafel:) but its definitely not a put on ur list must try place

I ordered here for delivery using the eat 24 ap and live in north Hollywood. I didn't realize this was located in Burbank but the ap prompted me order and I didn't think to check the location. The driver was very rude first asking me to come meet him at the building front door which I told him he would have to wait a minute because I was in a robe and pjs to which he kept asking how long I would take (I was very sick with a fever hence delivery for lunch on a weekday) he finally said he'd come up, then when I handed him cash for the food and tip he complained that he drove from Burbank and what I gave him wouldn't even cover his gas. t's not my fault the site let me order there! I hadnt budgeted cash for a bigger tip since I didnt know where they were located. i wouldnt have ordered from them had i known but regardless of that they should change their search critirea on the site or charge a delivery fee if its an issue. Or they could have called to tell me I was out of their delivery area if I was. NOT demand more money from the customer and make them feel shitty for having them drive. It was obviously a mistake i was able to order from them and it was unprofessional the way they handled it and I will definitely not order from them again even if I live in Burbank based on the attitude I received.

Tasteless! Dried meat! Wasted $45! The ratings here seem to fluctuate, so I strongly recommend that you ORDER FROM A PLACE THAT'S MORE OF A SURE THING! There are too many other places who will, at least, serve you mediocre food. Try another restaurant and save your money - and have a good meal. Warning: any business that refers to new customers as "bro", just may not be type of place that's interested in superb service nor exceptional food.

Extra nice service which is always a plus, The food is really tasty. Love their stuffed grape leaves and chicken Kabob. Everything here is yummy tasting!! Can't wait to go back.

Perfectly inviting, no-pressure table service by the apparent owner. Good-to-great kabobs. The chicken better than the ground beef.

Great deal for a quick lunch under $5. The Chicken Shawarma Sandwich (Gyros) was a bit on the small side, but plenty of food for me. Some people might find the portion a bit small and might still be hungry afterwards. There were yummy pieces of chicken mixed with some kinda addictive sauce. The only downside was that there was way too much sauce that my pita was soggy 7,8 minutes later when I ate it.

Was so happy about my falafel sandwich that got a lamb gyro sandwich the next day. Although they put a lot of lamb inside, 3 pcs, the pieces were the size of ping pong balls. When tried to bite it in half of a piece of meat while it was in the sandwich, it easily fell apart. Would definitely tell them to cut the lamb pieces smaller for me next time

They do actually deserve a 4 star. Their food is excellent and big in portion. Even the $6 sandwich was almost too much food for lunch. Definitely one of the more affordable, yet delicious places on San Fernando.

  • Fernando H.

The food here was the bomb, service was great and the prices were just right and not only that you got a lot of food, and I mean a lot! I tried the falafel last time I came here with some hummus and tzatziki sauce, damn! I was expecting these small little punnie side sides of hummus and tzatziki sauce, but damn was I wrong we were brought a plateful of it! The falafel was great as was the rice and delicious salad that came along side it. My only problem is the food was a bit salty, "/ but overall great little find on San Fernando Rd in Burbank.

This place hasn't let me down yet! :) I especially like ordering the Vegetarian Appetizer Platter... I'm not even a vegetarian, but I really enjoy the food they put in it. Their BB! is very good as well. If you're in the area, check it out!

I am Greek, so I know good Greek food. This is the best Greek food in miles! The lamb is always perfectly seasoned and cut perfectly. The Greek salad dressing is not what I grew up with, but it's delicious and right on just the same. And the Hummus!! I have never had Hummus this good before! The falafels are nice and big, again perfectly seasoned. And the baklava is so good I wouldn't be surprised if they hand make it themselves. They are so nice and polite and even offered to deliver to me even though I'm outside their usual delivery area. I have tried lots of Greek in the area, and nothing compares to this place! Best kept secret in the Burbank/Glendale area!

A friend and i were wandering around trying to decide what to eat when we stumbled upon this place. Sure, it looks a little silly and odd at first glance... HOWEVER, the service and the food is really good. I was quite impressed. Granted ive only had the Lamb Gyro Sandwich Combo and the Hummus so far... but it was hands down, fantastic! Not only that, but its a lot of food for the price... very filling! I highly recommend stopping in if you are in the area. Its quite a fun little place! Oh and the Free Parking garages are great in Burbank, so just park in one around the theatre there, and walk on up. :)

  • Iren A.

This place sucked. The rice was bland, the Greek salad was manly lettuce. The tabuleh was ehh. I don't like lamb so I specifically chose the beef gyro but I could taste the lamb so either they gave me the wring meat or their beef gyro has lamb mix and my husband didn't like their luleh kabob. If you want good Mediterranean go to the original kabob factory now that's some good meat and yummy sides.

I made a friend make a special trip out there and then I started to worry because it was kind of empty when we went in and it is far more of a hole-in-the wall place than some other greek places nearby. But they didn't disappoint. I ordered a half order of the greek salad and then the side/appetizer of chicken with hummus. It was far from a tiny side order of chicken and hummus. The plate was covered in tasty hummus and chicken. I couldn't finish it. Though I would have liked more salad. I saw a woman eating a huge greek salad with chicken on top when I left so next time I'll just order that and a side of hummus. My friend liked everything on her vegetarian plate but the tabouli which overwhelmed her. It took up half her plate and she felt it was a lot of parsley. Though she admitted parsley's a main ingredient and she's just not a parsley fan. They were very thoughtful. Because I got the half order greek salad they brought her the greek salad portion of her meal at the same time (which we think is why she ended up with half a plate of tabouli.) They didn't push us to have drinks and brought us huge waters. Finally, they have a coatrack in the women's bathroom for you to hang your purse. Ingenious. If you're in the area you should definitely check it out. It's across from the Fantasia billards. Keep your eyes peeled or you'll miss it and that would be a shame.

Overall, it was a very good meal, great price and great service. For two large meals (with leftovers) and one drink the bill was under $20. It is very easy to miss on San Fernando. We've walked by it many times and never even realized it had a second level in the back. When we were there a small party was upstairs. We will definitely go back!

Pros: Yummy!!! Best Greek food ever. Can't stop thinking craving the juicy, succulent chicken kebobs! Online ordering available. Cons: Comparing to other Greek restaurants, they don't give you a lot of what you ordered. So the quantity lacks a bit. If you're extremely hungry and can eat a lot at that point, this isn't your place. You don't get a lot of the meat at all. Maybe a few pieces. For take-outs, parking (if you're lucky) or loading zones aren't available in front of the restaurant so there's no way you can just walk in, grab your food and get out.

My favorite Mediterranean food in Burbank to date. Friendly owner, Greek Music TV playing in the background and a real dinner like setting. Yet one of the thriftiest meals you can get in the area! I will be a regular here.

We went here and had great food and service. The place is a little odd looking, feels like a restaurant in Greece, but the service and food were solid. We had a variety of small plates and they were all good. Found it on Yelp.

Amazing, authentic food. I have looked for a gyro like this for a long time, but I have finally found a place that serves it! A definite "must try!!" Delicious lamb, and they give you so much; I was stuffed!

My friend and I were trying to pick a place to eat while walking around the area. I had this great idea to yelp this place since we were passing by. I told my friend "if this place has a rating of 4 stars or more we shall eat here". He took out his handy iphone and yelped Knights. Sure enough it got a 4 start rating from about 23 ppl. We walked in and was surprised by the elegant chair covering...reminds me of the seat covers at weddings. We were promptly seated. The waiter suggested the combo plate for my friend and I ordered the shish and luleh dish. The salad was decent. My lemonade was watered down and the luleh was meh at best. It was dry, old and tasted funky. The shish was a lot better, but still very tough. The rice seemed stale as well.... Ya I was disappointed.

***GREAT, personable staff, wonderful food & VERY friendly bill!*** I decided to meet my bf in the area after he was done with work, and we were looking around like crazy for restaurants, consulting reviews and ratings on the Internet, and we came across this place that was in the area where we were, and with high ratings. So we went in! The guy at the counter asks: "Are you having it to go? Because we're closing in 5 minutes." It must've been that I made a really heart-breaking face, because he said, "Ok, look at the menu, order, and I'll tell the chef it's to go..." :-D Yaaaay! So we order immediately before he changes his mind, and tells us to grab a table. Starting off with the right foot! Breaking rules involving food on a school night! :-D And so our plates arrive. We had: *1 hummus with pita bread for sharing. *1 beef kabob with salad and rice. *1 baked felafel with salad and rice. *2 Diet Cokes. The hummus was very good. The salads were very fresh and tasty. My bf's felafel was amazing -- freshly baked, hard on the outside, soft inside. My beef kabob was very tender and juicy, just perfect. Both plates came with white rice that had orange little seasonings (?) on top, so the presentation is very colorful. The total bill with tax included was $26.34. Nice! Service is GREAT -- the guy at the counter not only went out of his way, but also joked that he could not bear to see us starve (great, warm personality). Our waitress was very nice. The place is cute. The bill was friendly. And the food was great! A definitive keeper!

Great bbq meats for a very very reasonable price. Always well seasoned and juicy especially if you specify medium/medium rare. The owner Mike is funny sarcastic guy and will keep you entertained. Excellent local restaurant!

You couldn't tell how nice this place was from its exterior because of their down-to-earth signs that depict their lunch specials of the day; complete with photos and prices. It almost seemed like a regular old greasy gyros place from NYC where you stand to eat your food on a make-shift counter. However, Knight is an adorable little Greek-Armenian joint on the main strip of shops and restaurants on San Fernando (by the mall). We stumbled upon this little gem the other day while wandering about downtown Burbank and were pleasantly surprised by the crisp and clean decor (modern-classic hybrid of tapestries, and draped chairs and tables) as well as their expansive space (it looks tiny from the outside and then you walk into a spacious dining area with a second floor loft with more seating). My boyfriend and I both ordered the gyros special: a gyro with fries and a coke along with a falafel appetizer. While the falafel felt stone-hard on the outside, biting into it, I was surprised at the moist and crumbly textures of it. Taste-wise, it was a good falafel, but I have definitely had much better. When our specials arrived, I was impressed by the portions that we were served. They did not skimp on the lamb, nor with the French fries. The hummus in the gyro was not so much to my liking, but the lettuce and tomatoes were crisp, clean, and fresh. The gyro meat was tender, but definitely too salty. It was a good deal, an okay meal, but I probably wouldn't recommend it to *real* Mediterranean food lovers. Quick, satisfying lunch downtown? Most definitely.

How is it that the delivery guy NEVER has change? Next time i get $16 worth of food and he can't give me $2 back after tip, I will just have to send the order back. AND TELL THAT RUDE S.O.B. TO STAY THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE while waiting to get paid. Would you want some stranger just walking into your house and hanging out in your living room while you're looking for money? Yeah that's the most comforting thing I can think of. This is the second time in a row all this behavior has happened. Seriously knight restaurant, if you are reading this then fire that rude, tattooed and useless delivery guy. He has just caused you the loss of my business. Who knows how many other people won't order from you any longer because of him. Seriously, look at some of the reviews below. I called to speak to the manager and guess what? They said there was no manager there. No wonder this place sucks. There's no there to run it.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience eating here. Our waiter was great and went above and beyond to give us a great experience. The food is very good and authentic. We had the gyro meat with rice plate and the Knight combination plate with steak, ground beef and chicken. The hummus is one of the best I've ever tasted, and the pita bread and tabouli are all delicious. Our waiter was so sweet, he put some extra goodies in our to-go boxes that we got to take our meals home, which we thought was a nice added touch. Best of all was the baklava that we got for dessert. It was literally the best I have ever had, it was delicious!!!! I can't wait to go back and have it again!

The food is pretty good, I've tried shawarma plates and wraps. The side salad with the shawarma wrap was worth the extra $1 or so. I get the feeling they use some sort of strong orange food coloring on the chicken shawarma and rice as it was a very strong fluorescent orange color. Don't expect the guy who prepares the food to follow any special instructions even if anyone acknowledges it will happen. I always ask for no tomato on my order and almost every time I find tomato everywhere. I saw the guy at the register blatantly tell him no tomato on my order. The same happened with an online order where I explicitly noted this. I'm not sure what's up. Online ordering works well but they require that you register which means entering your address, name, etc regardless of whether you're getting delivery.

When I worked in Burbank back in 2007, a co-worker got me hooked on Knight Restaurant. Ever since I have moved away, any chance I get to stop in and grab something to eat there i do!! When I go, I get the chicken/beef combination. I just love it!! I love the salad, I love the hummus. The family that runs the place is so nice, and willing to go out of their way to make you feel at home. Next time I am back in town, I will be stopping by!!!

Living in Los Angeles, you get to not only have a wide array of international foods, but actually compare the flavors within each region. This place is more Armenian than Greek. That being said the service was decent, but the food is nothing spectacular. I tried the combo and the vegetarian mezza. As the stars say, "Meh, I've experienced better."

    (2)
  • Guy D.

This place is great. The food is so good, shwarma, armenian coffee... it gets 5 stars, because the lady even told us where to buy armenian coffee and taught us how to make it when we told her that we were into it! They also had this killer Yanni Live concert video happening! I also really liked the grape leaves and hummus. Almost gets four stars as the salads were a bit overdressed and the mint icecream dessert wasn't so hot... but the service makes up for that. Will be back to eat more boiled tomatoes and armenian coffee soon!

came here because of the high reviews. I had a lamb kabob sand, 2 of 3 kabobs were mostly grisal with some gemrease. I wish I had sent it back. friend had chicken kabob diner, thought it to be ok, nothing special. will definitely not return.

Well I'm almost embarassed to say how many times I've passed this place up without giving it a second glance. What's worse, I'm a born & raised in Burbank girl & when some friends said "We ate at Knight restaurant yesterday, it was really good!" I said "Knight? Where the heck is that?!" I mean really... I'm familiar with most every street, business, hole in the wall & even which celebrities live where & yet... someone that loves Greek food as much as I do doesn't know there's a delicious place to get it right on the MAIN STRIP in downtown Burbank??? Okay, I'm over it. And the reason I'm over it is because today I made myself happy by feeding my mouth & tummy lots of yummy food! The same friends who told us about it invited us along for lunch. I hated judging the book by it's outside cover but I found myself doing it when we arrived. It has that look of " this place is so tiny you're gonna be crammed inside & it may very well be dirty in there too." Well that was just STUPID of me. While there are only like 2-3 outside tables in a very tiny area, once you go inside it is actually quite roomy & nicely decorated! I felt at home immediately as they quickly ushered us to a table & began pulling the chairs out welcoming us. Everyone was so nice. Now to the food. My friend recommended I try the chicken shawarma plate & since it's what I like to get at other Greek restaurants I decided on that. It came with soup or salad so I tried their lentil soup. That came before the meal along with some A-MA-ZING hummus we proceeded to devour before asking for a SECOND dish of!!! Seriously, some of the best hummus ever... period! The lentil soup was good but before I could really get into it our meals were already ready. That plate of chicken shawarma deserves it's OWN paragraph. Why? Because it was SO DAMN GOOD. I fell in love with the chicken. Yes serious, love. I could have married it. I may have, I'm not sure. I was out of my mind in yummy heaven! Perfectly seasoned, tender & moist. The rice was great, the roasted tomato awesome and oh, did I mention that second plate of hummus that makes me want to go there right now, at nearly midnight while I'm writing you from bed? Okay fine, I'll wait to go get some tomorrow. Party poopers. Really though I can't wait to go back. Great service, good prices & delicious food. I liked it there so much I considered maybe breaking a plate to show my ardent appreciation. But then again, maybe that wouldn't make them so thrilled with me & I do want them to love me like I love them :)

Whoever said this place is great has not tasted real authentic "greek" or "mediterranean" food because this place makes me want to hate my ethnicity. First off it is disgusting. The employees scare you because the cook looks like an angry man who hates his job. The food has no flavor whatsoever. BE careful of their soup it is so watered down, you might throw up because it tastes like sink water. My friend ordered lamb chops, they were so red inside you would think it is still alive. And when we complained she said "Vat do you want me to do?" Not charge you? She's like sorry the boss isnt' here I Cant' do that. Making us feel guilty!! what the hell is wrong with her. I had the salad which was trenched in olive oil I forgot there was lettuce in it. Bad Experience all around!! come on guys!!! this place is not worth 5 starsS!!! Jenna...I just want to know what's authentic about it.

This is one of the best Greek/mediterranean restaurants I have been to in a long time. The quality of meat here is amazing, tender, succulent, juicy, and generous portions. I got the combination plate for 12.95. Came with chicken kebab, beef kebab and the owner let me substitue lamb for the beef mignon, as i was not a big fan of the latter. Let me tell u, the lamb was excellent, medium rare, tender and juicy.. Chicken kabab had lots of flavor, and beef kebab was pretty decent. Warning this is lot of meet that comes with the combo plate. the owner is a very friendly man. Will be back for sure.

I was going here for a while and for the most part the food was really good, however my last time I went here wasn't a great experience, I order takeout and go to pick it up. Despite the fact that the owner ignores me for a good 30 seconds while he looks at me and then turns away to put the dishes/glasses away and then finally gets back to me. Tells me $10 and without hesitation I give him $10, it was only afterwords that I find out my meal was actually less and he overcharged me. I know it'd be less than a dollar but still do you like getting overcharged? Then I go home and the salad is drenched in dressing almost uneatable, the olive still has the pit inside it and I nearly crack my teeth open, and there is no hummus sauce to dip the pita bread in. Despite that it was still good so I ate the rest, just wasn't the best experience I've had.

The best chicken breast (white meat) kabob in town. I have tried so many other places, but for the price, this is the best. Must try!

Meh. I guess that I should have ordered some sort of meat after reading everyone else's reviews of this place. I ordered the Vegetarian Mezza plate because those tend to be my favorite Greek foods. The hummus was good but had a bit too much tahini for my taste. My plate was missing the egglpant dip, the tabouleh was almost entirely parsley, and only ONE falafel. I really wanted to like this place. It was cheap and close to the office, but I think that I will just suck it up and eat at Zankou.

They do everyting right here. I was enthusastically greeted at the door. Directed to a table. My order was taken promptly. My salad came quickly, it was quite good, with a red spice I did not recognize, and then the gyro came promptly and piping hot. The waiter checked with me as to whether everything was good and gave me a soda refill. The check arrived right when I was done, and my credit card was run promptly. Upscale decor inside compared to most Greek places that I have been to. Will have to bring the wife here. It was just $5.99 for any sandwich and a salad.

Great food, great service and great prices! Wow, the spouse and I tried this restaurant for the first time last night because we happened to be in the area. Small place that has a warm feel to it. Appears to be family owned. We loved it! The food was wonderful. We tried two different soups, hummus, peppers, chicken and beef kabobs. Very happy with everything. We will be back and willing to drive the 22 miles from our home.

Went there last night after reading some of the positive reviews on yelp. I love Greek food, so I was excited for this! The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. They treated us (and everyone else in the restaurant) like super special guests. The service was absolutely fantastic!!! I got the Lula Kabob dinner. The meat was savory and delicious! The rice was seasoned beautifully. The roasted tomato was amazing too! The greek salad was gorgeous and tasted way better than the average greek salad you get at other places. Everything was extremely fresh and presented well. My sister got the falafel dinner, which was crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. It was also extremely delicious! My dad got the half chicken, which he devoured (always a good sign). We got a side of hummus and pita bread too. It was probably the best hummus I've ever had, and the pita bread was warm and soft. Mmmm perfection! My dad ended the evening with a piece of baklava, which he said was the best he's ever had outside of Greece. (Even though it was extremely close to the best he's ever had-it melted in his mouth!) Overall, I wish I didn't live so far away, otherwise I'd always be going there! OPA!!!

Great traditional Greek and Armenian food. It really reminded me of my trip to Greece. All meats are high quality and the sides (Hummus, grape leaves) are all fantastic. The waiter was extremely friendly--it definitely had a strong family run vibe, which was great. Highly reccomended.

This place was really good for the price and the experience. They have limited outdoor seating that's a bit cramped, but the inside is much more roomier. The service staff is really friendly and relaxed. You won't find people bothering you every five minutes or trying to rush you out the door. The food is good, big, and cheap. It's one of the better places I've been to for Med food. Parking is the usual for the area - find a structure (they're free) or park in one of the spots in front. Give this place a try. It's a nice place for a meal.

I had a good experience at Knight Restaurant. It's in the main part of downtown Burbank. I sat indoors, there are high ceilings and colorful chairs. Greek Family environment inside. I had the Tabouleh salad, hummus, and Lamb Kabob sandwich. All 3 items were excellent. I could NOT believe that the kabob sandwiches are only $4.50. Fodd was served quickly, but service to get the check took awhile. There was also some sort of upstairs, and a couple of outdoor tables as well. I will definitely be back.

Stopped in for some Aria Greek Beer and Hummus. All DELICIOUS. Service friendly, and the owner- as always - makes a personal appearance to greet you. This is a very "different" type of Greek restaurant... having been to Greece...I know they are not known for their outstanding hospitality... Knights is a wonderful experience.
