Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Good lunch, good service, not crowded. - - - Chicken fettuccine alfredo with fresh veggies. Sauce was a little runny, but pasta and veggies were perfectly cooked - Lasagna was great. - Garlic bread was awesome! Recommend this place anytime.

Overpriced and nothing Italian about this "Italian Restaurant" other than the music playing. Never serve bread with your pasta. They do this because Americans eat a lot of bread but there's nothing Italian about it. Call yourself an American-Italian Restaurant if you're going to serve carrots and ranch dipping sauce a a free appetizer. I only come here for the Gnocchi and even then it's overpriced for the portion they give you. They don't even make their own potato dumpling for the dish so I don't see why it should cost more than $10 Embarrassed to be an Italian.

Italian American restaurant, in need for an update, but perhaps big city folks are not their target demography. Even Olive Garden seemed to have better finished dishes and more contemporary take on Italian American classic. Dishes we tried - Very salty chicken piccata, with pasta forming a gooey paste Edible cheese ravioli Eggplant parmagiana over soaked with tomato sauce. Overall - Meh

The chicken piccata dish (light lemony sauce with moist, lightly breaded chicken seasoned with fresh thyme) and service were fantastic. There was so much food, I had my soup, the garlic bread, and leftover boxed. Now, I've got lunch for tomorrow! Previously had the veal piccata which was equally delicious. Not sure I can order anything else now. Well, maybe the other piccata dishes. : )

Like cafeteria food. Bad. And always seems to take an eternity to get the food once it's ordered. And under staffed. Overall, been twice. Won't go again.

I came here over the weekend with my family for my mom's birthday. There were about 20 people in our party. My brother setup a reservation and when we arrived the area was ready. The waitress that was helping us was named Katie and she was amazing. She was the only one who was taking care of our 20 person party. She got all of our orders correct, brought out all the food by herself, she was super attentive and got us everything we needed and she was super nice. Most of the family was impressed. On top of all of that, the food was awesome. I had the clams over linguine with alfredo sauce it was super tasty. The garlic bread is amazing and tastes homemade. All the food was excellent! Everyone in my party was super satisfied. Would definitely come back.

Tasty and fair priced ... Good service and well kept restrooms busy on Friday and Saturdays

I really wanna give this place a 4.5. Im really picking when it comes to Italian food. The food here was delicious. I ordered the pesto angel hair and the antipasto salad I enjoyed every bite plus it was a really relaxing environment an the service was great

i've been going to Lomeli's for years, so when they shifted gears here, I was worried it would change too much. I do see a difference. The prices are lower, there is a few new items and the recipes are a bit different. I like this new direction. Their scallop and scampi piccata was very good, yet only $15. Yeah, we'll be back. I however thought the eggplant parmigiana was a bit under cooked. Perhaps it was too thick.

We came here for the first time because they were offering 50% off your tab in honor of their anniversary. The line was long and we waited almost an hour but overall I enjoyed myself. The food was mediocre. Not good not bad. I don't understand why everyone raves about the garlic bread and cappuccino ice cream. They were both mediocre at best. The Spumoni ice cream was terrible. I got the fettuccine and lasagna combo and it was good. My lasagna came lukewarm though and I don't like to eat food unless it's hot so I took it to go. The fettuccine was good it didn't taste like Ragu jarred sauce like someone said. It did taste homemade. I asked for the noodles Al dente and they were definitely not al dente but not overcooked so it was okay. Overall decent food and I liked the atmosphere. It's definitely not authentic Italian food but it will please simple eaters.

Amazing. Absolutely can not WAIT to come back to this spot. It was recommended by two of my best friends and I'm so thankful that they told me about it because it's officially one of my favorite restaurants! For a little less than $14 you get SO much food. Immediately upon sitting down there is a small plate of carrots and ranch on your table, a bit different than the normal serving of bread (which comes after you've ordered and gotten your food). I ordered a complete meal which consisted of cheese ravioli with pink sauce, lasagna, AND spaghetti with sausage (you have so many options but this seemed the most fitting for me)! It comes with a small garden salad which was much better than the normal simple salads you get at restaurants. It also came with a small glass of wine- your choice of white, red, or blush. We ended up choosing the blush and it was wonderful. Once we got our food they brought out fresh baked garlic bread, yum! Finally after we had stuffed ourselves more than we should have, we were given ice cream that came with the meal. The cappuccino ice cream, with chocolate covered java chips in it, was absolutely incredible. I ended up packing nearly half of my meal to save for lunch the next day. It was truly such an incredible price for the quality AND quantity of the food. Can't wait to return!

Service started out good, then we had to wait awhile before our order came out. My husband deluxe pizza came out before my pasta order & place was not that crowded for a Sunday afternoon.
(3)Lori B.
I've been going to Fratellinos for many years (they were called Lomeli's back then). The food has remained consistently excellent! My husband usually gets the Lasagna while I get either the Vegetable Lasagna or Eggplant Parmesan. But we have also tried a few other pasta dishes and were equally pleased. We LOVE the carrots with ranch appetizer. We LOVE the wine that is served with the complete dinner and always buy an extra half carafe to enjoy. The salads are phenomenal. They are like a mini antipasto! The only dish we were not thrilled with was the Ravioli but other than that we are in love with this restaurant!! In all these years I have never tried the Pizza but each time I see it I wish I had ordered it. Next time!!! :)
(5)Nora M.
Excellent food! I completely enjoyed the experience at this restaurant. I ordered the chicken marsala which was very good. The prices are good compaired to other local italian restauraunts. The dinner specials include bread, soup or salad and a scoop of ice cream for desert.. Service was good and fast. The decor was cute and nice if you want to have a romantic dinner. Im a big fan of the Olive Garden but I must say I think this may be my new favorite italian place.

Lomeli's... Hmmm hmmm hmmm. An ole fashioned ciba italia that has been here for decades. I have been here numerous times and wrote a review... So i thought! like a traditional italian spot, they offer free small glass of wine. choose: red, rose, or white. full dinner option comes with: salad or minestrone, garlic bread, and ice cream. salad is better than the soup. they add pepperoni slices and cheese. garlic bread is cool. not so salty. ice cream options: spumoni, vanilla, chocolate, and cappachino. cappachino is best!!! now to food. i only get combos. its a duo of lasagna and fettucini. also a trio of lasagna and/ or ravioli and pasta. about $15. lasagna. run of the mill. it has nice sauce to it. pasta. run of the mill. sausage tastes better than meatballs. raviolis. very good. delish. i like these a lot... for hefty appetites. get combos. mother had penne creamy clam. clam sauce was nice. rich. good flavors. service. hosts are great. servers are average. price. about $15 this place can be a decent date place. hard to judge. the booths are more intimate and the tables are more casual. Funny enough... Ive been here only with my mom. If someone can translate this to korean for me. That be great: Pour out some liquor and reminsce, cause through the drama I can always depend on my mama. And when it seems that I'm hopeless, You say the words that can get me back in focus. When I was sick as a little kid, to keep me happy there's no limit to the things you did. All my childhood memories are full of all the sweet things you did for me. And even though I act(ed) craaazy, I gotta thank the Lord that you made me. There are no words that can express how I feel, you never kept a secret, always stayed real. And I appreciate, how you raised me with all the extra love that you gave me. I wish I could take the pain away. If you can make it through the night there's a brighter day! Everything will be alright if ya hold on It's a struggle everyday, gotta roll on. There's no way I can pay you back, but my plan is to show you that I understand. You are appreciated!

Yummy Italian food, and good service. I recommend the combo meals, great price for a lot of food!!!
(5)Jennifer R.
We love this place. We usually get submarine sandwiches to go using the online ordering. Today we got a large order of sandwiches and pizza. We thought we ordered some italian sandwiches and some turkey. When we opened all the sandwiches, they were all turkey (still super yummy - just not what we expected). We called them and they were super apologetic and offered to give us a whole new order which we didn't need at the time. Cesar called us back a few minutes later and apologized and explained that he made a mistake and the computer had the wrong info and he actually charged us for 12 sandwiches, rather than 6 (which we didn't even realize). He told us to come by ASAP and he is giving us a $60 gift card for our trouble. An apology means more than the gift card to us but because we overpaid, it was an extremely nice gesture and makes me love them even more. Pizza is super good - very cheesy, and of course the submarine sandwiches are a staple around our house.

Very good very heavy dinner prices are legit for what u get I got the lasagna meat ball plate comes with soup or salad and ice cream and we also added a small pep pizza very very good service is OK not horrible not the best definitely should check it out if u r into legit Italian food

Love this place! Food is flavorful and fresh. Cant go wrong with their daily specials. This place is always busy.
(4)Angela C.
Solid 4 stars. Good food with decent prices that include carrot stick and ranch appetizers, an entree, small glass of table wine, salad or soup, garlic bread, and ice cream for dessert. Portions on the largish size, especially for the complete dinner price. Although I was not blown away by the food, service was good, prices and portions were of value, waiters/staff were kind.
(4)R G.
My boyfriend and I love going to this place! The food is delicious, family oriented & great service! We usually order the special for 2 cause it perfect to fill both of us. Can't say enough about their pizza...yummy!!! Thank you for taking care of your customers.
(5)Mark D.
WARNING: If you are hungry and come here for lunch, be very wary of ordering one of their lunch specials. Portions are very meager! And, odds are that you will exit this establishment far less than satisfied!!
(3)Lisa M.
Love the ambiance! The combo IV is my absolute favorite! We love taking our family their for a reasonably priced delicious meal. We all look forward to the Spumoni ice cream for dessert!

We're long time loyal customers from when they used to be Lomeli's in Fullerton by Morningside, so we know the furniture that's there now is because some of their other customers complained that they didn't like the new sleek white and wood decor that was in the new Brea location. So the owner replaced the new modern furniture with the old familiar green booths from the old Fullerton location restaurant, lol. One of the reason why Lomeli's, excuse me, Fratellino's, is very popular is because they have good tasting Italian food for very cheap prices in a friendly environment. You can get complete dinners that includes tiny glass of wine, salad or soup, entree (or 3-combo), and desert like spumoni for about $12. Food is consistently good. Eggplant Parma, linguini with clams, spaghetti with meatballs, cannelloni, pizza, etc. Good as in familiar homemade Italian food. Maybe not authentic or original, and maybe not east coast style Italian (east coast italian hard to find in Cali) but definitely good homemade Italian food in a homey family environment. Celebrity angle: James Denton, actor (ABC's Desperate Housewives) got his baseball team's food catered here a few years ago.

The city of Brea offers many different cuisines, and there are so many to choose from. My friend Patricia and I usually go to Fish Grill or Cheesecake Factory for our once a month weekday meetings. But on this day, I suggested we go to this Italian restaurant. The reason? Everytime I drove out of the plaza, I always had to stop to let pedestrians pass into this restaurant!! I noticed how many people have been going in. The best part about this restaurant? You can't beat the price!!! For example, we ordered two lunch specials, Eggplant Parmigiana $6.95 and Fettuccine Alfredo $7.60 w/added mixed vegetables for $1.50. We got carrot sticks and peppercinni w/ranch dipping sauce, basket full of garlic breads, complimentary wine, and our actual entrees. Seriously good value. Lucky we got there before 3 PM. I've never been to a restaurant with complimentary wine at this price!! The eggplant parmigiana has such good flavor and the spaghetti that came with it really just tastes like home. One wouldn't notice it's a meatless entree. the fettuccine Alfredo w/mixed vegetables was pretty decent as well. Their service is prompt and friendly. We love the family atmosphere. Will definitely come back soon to try other entrees. So far, we really love Tuesday's lunch special, Eggplant Parmigiana!!!
(4)Steven B.
Pretty classic Italian American (focus on the American) food at a good price. The chicken piccata's great, and I love their pink sauce on pretty much everything (but don't get it with the scallops, the flavors kind of fuse together and it's not that great). The spumoni is awesome, so grab a pint for home on the way out.

Service has really taken a nosedive recently. The overall value and quality of the food is still pretty good, but the service is seriously lacking. My entree came about 10-15 minutes after the rest of the table's entrees. Once the waitress knew of this devastating error by the kitchen (?) she pretty much knew our table was basically a lost cause to her so she never returned for refills and never returned to give us the napkins we requested. I work in the restaurant industry and I know how some servers basically hide their heads in the ground like ostriches when they know a table's order has gone awry. They get scared and embarrassed and can't deal with the problem and face the music. As a manager I would suggest that you either have another server/busshelp, or a host/hostess at least touch the table to see how everything is going if the server is too upset to return right away. By her not doing this is appears she has basically given up on her table. My table could not wait the 10-15 minutes to eat their meals until mine came because by then theirs would have be cold, and cold pasta and cheese that's no longer gooey melted hot is no bueno. I did not blame them for digging in after about 6 or 7 minutes of them waiting. The waitress during the whole 15 minutes of wait time was avoiding our table like the plague. I would look at the host/hostesses stand and see 4, sometimes 5 employees grouped together behind the counter mingling amongst themselves. If only one of them could fill in for my absentee server all would have been better. I was a bit shocked as well to see one of the hostesses grab a glass of soda from underneath the counter and start slurping on the straw and begin to walk down the aisle, walking nonchalantly, past seated, dining customers as she drank her drink. When the bill arrived I was surely hoping that the waitress would do the one thing that was expected when a diner gets their entree 15 minutes after the rest of the table. To save face for the business, you have to take the hit and comp the table at the very least their drinks or offer some free dessert. That didn't happen however. If I was the manager and knew of the situation, you are darn toot'n the table would at least get a free dessert, if not the entree that was so very late. It's going to be a long while before I go here again. I have been coming here at least once a month for the past 6 years, so they're losing what was once a very reliable customer.
(2)James S.
Great food, excellent service, well worth the wait. The owner is very kind and hooked it up with a free pizza because of the wait to be seated. Great value also. Highly recommended
(5)Devyn T.
The price is cheap and you get a fair amount of food for the price. But the quality is just OK and the service wasn't exceptional.
(2)Pauley C.
I came here with my friends for a friend's birthday luncheon. The interior of the restaurant looked nice for being a mom and pop restaurant. There were a good decent size of tables filled during the lunch rush on a Sunday afternoon. I must say that their lunch menu specials are phenomenal! I ordered the Sunday lunch special which comes with a meatball sandwich (beef or chicken) and a side of spaghetti. In addition, they offer a complimentary 4oz glass of red or white wine for just $7.95!!! $7.95???? What??? That seriously blew me out of the waters! However, the food was ok but it could have been more flavorful. I have had better Italian food from different Italian restaurants. The price justified the food itself. Seriously, where can you get a huge lunch portion with a glass of wine for $7.95? The service was ok but it could have been better. They were kind of under staff and the servers were hustling from one table to another. Overall, Fratellino's is a good place if you want a quick and cheap lunch to eat without breaking the bank.
(3)Regina Q.
I have a new found respect for this restaurant! I lost my drivers license weeks ago and had no idea where I left it.. And you all know how irritating the dmv is so needless to say I've been putting it off. But to my surprise I found my ID in the mail this evening!! Thank you so much Fratellinos!!
(5)P. C.
Formerly Lomeli's. The name may have changed but the food is still the same as before. Their deluxe pizza is what we always order.
(4)Samuel J.
I've been here a few times so far. Dine-in and carry-out. I've gotta say...the service is beyond subpar. They fail big-time when it comes to greeting at the door, service response time, and simply anything that relates to attentiveness. However, their pizza is spectacular. The crust is the perfect combination of charred doughy crusty chewy perfection. The cheese has a whole milk mozzarella goodness that is just soooo pleasing. Their red sauce is truly incredible as well. Their pink sauce is so-so. The ratio of crust:toppings:cheese is exceptional. Honestly, if their service was at least acceptable I would give them 4-5 stars because their pizza is that fantastic. Hopefully the owner reads this review and gets his/her staff in order and service is improved. If that happens I'll be sure to improve their rating. PS I surveyed the entire dining area and have to say that service was poor across the board. Not just for my wife and me. (And the dining area was not full/busy).
(2)Jeff R.
Our favorite place in Brea to grab a quality dinner for the price. So many options to choose from, i like to try something new each time. And a complimentary glass of wine isnt too shabby either
(5)Thomas T.
Very good food. Came here with our church group of 25. They need a few more servers with how busy it was. It took a while to get our drinks and food. Wasn't the servers fault as it was very busy. That's why we were wondering why they had so few servers on the floor. I had to go up and have one of the busers make my Arnold Palmer since they forgot but it was ok. But they were very courteous and friendly. Food was very good. Good pizza. BBQ chicken was amazing. Will def be coming back!
(4)Tammy C.
Came here with some friends for the first time since we wanted to try something new, and was pleasantly surprised-- the reviews did this place justice. Places with huge menus overwhelm me. I'm not exactly the most decisive person, and when I'm presented with such a large variety of selections, I'm not really sure what to do with myself. Luckily, there's this combo that allows you to try the lasagna AND the raviolli. Then you do this incredibly ingenious option of the "complete dinner", where you get soup/salad, ICE-CREAM (a variety of flavors, but get the cappuccino), and WINE (white, red, or rose). YES, you read that correctly! Oh Fratellion's, you knew the way to my heart and I'm holding on fast. Portion sizes were enough for me to enjoy a second meal the next morning, and all the sides and dessert made me a very happy girl. Intimate setting, would be great for families or a date. 20 minute wait for a party of five on a weekday night. Friendly service, great recommendations.
(4)Karen G.
Went today for the first time. Food, service, prices and atmosphere are all top-notch! I have nothing bad to say and will be back soon.

Best pizza hands down in Orange County. The sauce is perfect and ask for extra cheese. You won't be disappointed. So happy I found this place.

If my friends wanted a restaurant where they would feel comfortable in their Saturday casual clothes, want to get a flavorful and generous meal for reasonable money, and enjoy unpretentious, friendly service, then I'd take them to Lomeli's. All the common high-carb Italian standards are here, just about every familiar pasta style and sauce. Add a solid menu of pizzas. Then include plenty of entrees with chicken, beef, shrimp, shellfish, and some veal. Salads and sandwiches are available, plus a few standard desserts. Please don't come here if you require gluten free food or low-carb diets. You can surely get something to eat here - but that's not their strong suit. Can you say freshly made bread, cheese, meats, and pasta? Our price-sensitive family members tend to order the dinners, which includes soup or salad, garlic bread, choice of entree, an optional small glass of wine for adults, and dessert. We always have leftovers - about half the entree - for lunch later on. Our meal choices run $9-ish to $15-ish, though seafood and some other specialties run higher. There is seating at a free tables outdoors, but who wants to listen to parking lot traffic passing by? Indoors is the sound of the crowd and the now-obligatory TV mounted high on one wall. But the tables are large, the seating is comfortable, and the servers are quick to get your order started. If you come at dinner time on Friday or Saturday, you'll have a wait. There is no bar and the waiting area is small. We tend not to come till about 7:00 or 7:30 p.m. We have had reasonable waits - under 15 minute easily. The flavors here are bold and the servings are big. And this isn't the sort of place you'll have sophisticated (small) entrees decoratively plated and presented. Home cooking up several notches. Go and relax, and have a good time.
(4)Melissa D.
Being Italian it's hard to find a good Italian restaurant that I don't compare to home cooking. Well this place is home away from home it has everything I love and it's almost like moms !!! The best part is that they have Pink sauce!!! I'm in heaven!!! Well I defiantly will be coming back and bringing everyone because the price is amazing the service is fantastic and the staff treats you like family! This place in now my little Italy!
(5)Piyush M.
Too expensive for what they have to offer.

Where do I begin.. Let's just start off with the food (where it counts). Being surrounded by some great restaurants it was easy to overlook Lomeli's. This was our first time here (and it will be the last), but given some strong reviews on Yelp I thought it was time to try it. Big mistake :P First instinct: warning sign. Ok that plate of carrots with ranch dressing.. The dressing is cheap store bought, preservative packed, grossness. Now if you can't taste it, you don't know how to detect it.. Stop eating at McDonalds and your pallet will change. My wife is gluten free so we called ahead to check the options. But what came out after a seriously long wait (like 40mins) was horrid. My wife ordered shrimp scampi with GF spaghetti and I ordered Alfredo/chicken with GF penne mixed with broccoli/mushroom/zucchini (I wished I had taken a photo.. The plating was terrible). When asked why it took so long the answer was because it was GF. The spaghetti was mush.. MUSH! I mean it turned into baby food in my mouth. The other pasta wasn't much better.. (So maybe it doesn't need to take that long?). We returned both dishes immediately without tasting them further. 20mins later we received new plates with undercooked pasta (yes an improvement). Once we got past the pasta the real fun began.. My chicken was boiled (and probably microwaved), tasted like _____. And OMG.. The veggies were FROZEN.. Cardinal sin. They were rubbery, hard to eat, packed with water. You know.. Old, frozen, gross. I mean this is food I wouldn't serve to a city-college student. And can you believe the price tag on this dish was going to be about $17! LMAO! I made the waitress (bless her heart) try one of the zucchini from my plate.. Yep, no question about it, frozen awfulness. She literally squeezed the water out of it (in her hands) in front of us, just shameful. (She was great and really accommodating btw). Maybe their specialty is pizza (I don't know)? So I got to ask the restaurant owner.. why put yourself in a vulnerable and embarrassing place (and yes this was an embarrassment for you), serving food you don't care about? Why bother serving gluten free if you buy poor ingredients and don't know how to cook it? Why offer chicken if you don't get out a pan and sear it? And why would you offer vegetables, common in any Italian eatery, if you are just going to pull them from a freezer and microwave or boil them in a bag? Get a clue, it would be better for you to not even offer such items instead of serve them. Unfortunately you did, and now you're getting called out. Clearly this is not our type of restaurant, but IF I wanted microwaved, preservative-packed, bagged-ready-made food, I could have done what you did.. Bought it from the frozen food isle.

Came here based on the reviews online. Seated promptly early on a Friday evening. Service once seated was prompt. Your best food deal is to go with the meals already grouped for you. Had the vegetable lasagna, comes with soup or salad, garlic bread, glass of house wine and a small bowl of ice cream after dinner. The lasagna was just ok, nothing great and kind of plain. Minestrone soup was just a little better than canned. Garlic bread was very oily. Another in our group had the pizza and said it was good. The chicken parmigiana was really heavy on the cheese and just average. With all of the other restaurants in the area I would recommend passing on this one.

I love coming here, I am treated like family. The food is amazing, wonderful ambience, great service - I am always pleased.

My husband and I just moved into the area and wanted to find a local restaurant that would be a nice option for us to eat out at once in a while. We saw this restaurant on yelp and decided to give it a shot. The only good thing about this restaurant was that it was walking distance from our house. Everything else was horrible. The service was slow, even though the place was relatively empty. It took the waiter 10 minutes to come introduce himself to us and take our order. Another 15 minutes to bring us "fresh" store bought salads that I occasionally buy myself from Costco. Our waters weren't refilled and the waiter never came up to ask if we needed anything else. The entrees took another 30 minutes and when they finally came out, my husband and I were both very disappointed. The plates were filthy and the portions were enormous. I ordered Spinach Stuffed Shells and they were drenched in tomato/marinara sauce that did not look or taste fresh. The shells were under cooked, soggy and oily. My husband ordered lasagna and it was as bad as mine. We could not even eat half of our meal even though we were both super hungry. The ice cream that came with the meal was as disappointing as the meal. It tasted like something you'd buy from an ice cream truck, not from an italian restaurant. My husband and I are usually generous when it comes to tips, but we were so bummed out by our overall experience that we didn't even feel bad to leave a really small tip. After some further research, I realized that this place is mostly known for their pizza. Other locals probably already know to not order anything else, except pizza...but unfortunately we learned the hard way. I don't know if we'll give this place another shot for the pizza, but we won't be going there for Italian cuisine, that's for sure.

Great no-frills Italian Food. Reasonable prices and great with the community.
(5)Brian B.
I ordered 5 party trays for a school sports banquet yesterday. The food was excellent, and everything was ready to go at the time promised. They do an excellent job of packaging the food so it stays hot and transports easily. I've never eaten at the restaurant, but I plan to now, but I would highly recommend their party trays. Considering I was on a very limited budget I was able to feed over 80 people with no problem.

Was recommended to go here from friends and reviews. Got my order wrong. Placed an order for a pepperoni and mushroom pizza but received a mushroom only pizza. I love pizza and don't mind spending a little extra but the order was wrong. The pizza tasted okay.
(2)Brendan K.
The peperoni pizza and Alfredo pasta rock. Stay away from seafood dishes as they taste frozen. My only real gripe is the beyond slow service where you could hang yourself before you get a beer from your server or even see them. The garnish lands on your table pretty quick but plan on spending some time there before you order and when your food gets there. They have screwed up the orders several times.I always have to go to the back and ask for another beer. It is my opinion that they are understaffed for such a busy place. I only get food to go from there because of the extremely slow service.

They email you coupons that won't print out and then the manager argues about it and doesn't want to honor it. When this happened before, the hostess was gracious and honored the coupon ... Mr. Manager needs to take a page out of the hostess' book (Speaking of Manager on duty at 6pm on Saturday, July 19). The food is good though.
(3)Nona W.
Love love love this place. Awesome food great service. The garlic bread is the best crusty buttery it's wonderful. The meatballs are huge. The marinara sauce is on point. Last time I was here I had the meat lasagna. It was awesome cheesy, saucy so good.
(5)Tina G.
I came here recently with family. The lasagna was delicious! I think they stayed open about 30-40 mins after closing while we finished our meal cause it took a little long to get the food. The service was very good. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again.
(4)Paul A.
Lomeli's two nights in a row because of a school fundraiser, not because I want to gain 25 lbs! Great vibe tonight and the soup with bread was amazing! I didn't eat my entree, because we were chatting it up with some fellow bob cats
(5)Juan N.
Food quality still good since name changed. But servers are new and are poorly trained and much less attentive than the waitresses who used to be on staff. We were there on a Saturday, which is generally a busy day so we expected a more competent server than the fellow who waited on us.
(2)Jessica B.
Food was great! Super delicious! Took my aunt (who is in her later 60's) here. The service was horrible though. the server was rude. She server was very rude to the elderly, no patience and her fake smile did not help. Gave attitude to the older gentleman who sat behind us when he asked for a diet coke and I could not believe it. Even to my own aunt she gave horrible attitude. Honestly made me not even want to tip her.
(3)Johnnie A.
been eating here since they were in Fullerton then they moved down to the Brea location then changed the name. One thing that hasn't changed is the great food. Love the cannelloni and the lasagna with the best ricotta cheese I have ever had. Start with the good minestrone soup and end with the delicious spumoni

Hot Dinner Trays, great catering choice for poker night and a big group of hungry poker players. My sister host a poker game every other Saturday and she has to feed 20 to 30 people each time. She will usually cook (she's a great cook). But when her schedule prevents it, she gets food here. Catering or Hot Dinner Trays as they call it is very convenient and delicious. We usually have the Antipasto Salad. Iceberg lettuce, black olives, tomato, carrots, onions, pepperoncinis, croutons, provolone cheese, pepperoni, cotto salami, mortadella w/ Italian dressing, what's not to like. Great way to get veggies into your system. Always a crowd favorite. Linguine with clam sauce (white) is another one of our favorites, guaranteed to go first & fast. Linguine is cooked perfectly and that clam sauce is just great. Must order dish here. Chicken cacciatore: Boneless breast of chicken, chicken with sautéed onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and tomato sauce, served over mostaccioli. This was a mix bag, I like it, but not everyone did. Haha, more for me. Lol. The major complain was that the chicken was dry, I did not have that problem. Sauce is on point for me. Hot dinner tray comes with a loaf of Garlic Bread. So so good. I can just eat this by itself. Delicious. Pizza, love the pizza here. We usually get Hawaiian or pepperoni. The crust is just the way I like it, a bit chewy, yum. The mozzarella cheese is melted on top and thickly layered. Just be sure to bite all the way through your pizza or you'll be dragging all the cheese with you. Lol. Hot Dinner Trays are the way to go if you need to get a lot of food fast. Try them out for your next gathering. I'll definitely be back.
(4)Robert R.
Horrible horrible service!!! Took 1hour to get food and got our food cold. They are way to under staffed and can't handle big crowds!! If I could give negative stars it would be negative 3stars
(1)Jenny Y.
First time eating here was a good experience. A family style restaurant and not too noisy inside. The only complaint I would have is how slow the service can be... Food there are delicious!! It's a great place to have a carb over-load festivus! =) There are so many choices on the menu! The garlic bread is THE BEST I ever had!!! It's not too garlic-gy...just the right amount of flavor and garlic. Very very delicious. The lasagna dish is delicious! Very hearty and plenty of sauce. The salads are too plain however. Prices are reasonable.

Very bummed out, I heard a couple good things about this place and was pretty excited to have a taste. I went at lunch and we were seated really quickly. Our salads, appetizers and entrees literally came out all at the same time, then mid way through our meal they gave us complimentary bread. The service was pretty shitty, the waitress didn't even let me finish talking before asking if I wanted soup or salad with my meal. She rambled off some robotic questions rapid fire, and I found it to be a tad rude. Then I had to ask for water every time I wanted a refill, 3 times, not once was she on top of it. The food was super bland, I had gnocchi with pesto and the pesto was not emulsified very well at all and there were large chunks of garlic hanging around in it. My wife plate was the worst though, she had fettuccine with veggies.... How do you mess up fettuccine? I'll tell you how ... Throw frozen vegetable medley into it, the water from the ice in the frozen veggies watered down the already watery sauce so much that it wasn't even thick enough to stay on the noodles. It looked unappetizing, and speaking of appetizer, we had mozzarella sticks ... First off they were also frozen, which is understandable a lot of places use frozen mozzarella sticks, but these actually had freezer damage, they were also baked which is disgusting. Overall I am extremely bummed about this, I thought we were gonna find a new Italian place close to home, I would rather hit up Olive Garden ....
(1)Cori C.
I love this place! Don't be confused by the name change! It's still the same great service, friendly staff and AMAZING food! I craved this italian food with both of my pregnancies, so we ate here a lot! It's a good thing you get such great portions for a great price!!
(5)Brandyn N.
Never go here on weekends, the food takes forever to come. Plus there dinner plate is the basically the same as their lunch. 2 stars because of time and the food size. Taste wise also because its really plain.
(2)Omar R.
A great value. The price is reasonable and food is good along with good service. It's a well run operation and you won't be disappointed. The combos include complimentary wine but I still ordered the cedar brook cabernet Sauvignon which is much better. Good decent Italian food at a reasonable price.
(4)Rebecca S.
I just finished dinning at what is now called Fratellino's. Very happy with my visit today. My server Connie was wonderful. Though the name has change the environment hasn't. I give 5 stars because it's great food and awesome service for a reasonable price.
(5)Sergio R.
Pretty tasty, well-balanced dishes that are usually on the heavier, saltier side at other Italian restaurants. Our table ordered the pesto w mushroom and an order of the chicken piccata. Seasoned great, pesto was light and herby, and the brinyness of the capers did not overwhelm the brightness of the lemon-butter sauce. Very good. Will return for the lasagna and some of their marinara and meatballs. Also - this is a senior citizen hot spot for sure!
(4)Brent W.
Hands down the best family Italian restaurant in So Cal.....!!!!
(5)Stacey T.
This place is a Favorite of ours!! We go weekly. My daughter loves their spaghetti & garlic bread. She gets to choose the table when we arrive:) We love our waitress she knows our order better than us! The entire staff is friendly & great service!!
(4)Nanette M.
This place is so yummy and they have great customer service. Every time I come the waiters do a great job and the food is consistently good! I always get the baked mostaccioli with meat sauce!
(4)Diana T.
Came here today after getting my nails done because my roommate mentioned you get a free glass of wine with your meal, sold instantly. You don't have to tell me twice if free wine is involved. Anyway when we got there I loved the ambiance inside, and we arrived just in time to catch the end of their lunch specials(which end at 3) the deals were awesome! I got a beef meatball sandwich with a side of spaghetti for only $6! Plus the free glass of wine, how can you beat that? My roommate got the ravioli lunch special & it was super tasty as well. Our service was good too, I can't wait to come back whenever I'm finished getting my nails done since it's literally right down the street. I love great finds like this one, you won't be disappointed when you eat here! I'm so excited to try all the other stuff on their menu.
(5)Karen K.
Excellent pizza for take out! Dine in menu is great with lots of variety. Good service. My go to place for pizza.
(5)Trisha M.
I can see why they have won Best of Orange County by the OC Register several years in a row. What a personable place to enjoy a dinner and the value for the complete dinners was great! I will be back for sure.
(5)Jennifer T.
Amazing food, Great place to take your family, The owner Cesar and his wife are awesome, great for catering too: yummy lasagna, gnocchi, antipasta, and garlic bread
(5)Magda B.
Love this place! My family and I come often and have never been disappointed. Pizza and pastas are delicious!
(5)David D.
The #1 special is my favorite. This is a nice, clean family type Italian restaurant and they have food to go.
(4)Al L.
I started going to this restaurant at their old location and followed them to their new location and new name. Same owner (Cesar Lomelli) and same consistently great food. Excellent home-style Italian food in a friendly atmosphere. Easy parking and quick seating. Diverse menu and daily lunch specials that are ample and reasonably priced. Free carrot sticks appetizer. The wait staff is fantastic and friendly, in particular Marcella (sp?) And Felix.
(5)Jennifer S.
Did I eat at the same Lomeli's everyone else is reviewing? Because I don't get all the five star reviews. Yes, the prices were reasonable to good, but that doesn't really matter if the food was subpar. I got a complete dinner special which comes with wine, soup, garlic bread, choice of entree, and ice cream for about $13. Wow, amazing price, right? But the glass of wine was more like a shot of wine (and in a mini-glass), the soup tasted like it was out of a can (purely tomato soup with some noodles thrown in) and the entree I got was bland and flavorless. I ordered the creamy pesto pasta, which is supposed to have a mix of alfredo sauce and pesto. Mmm, my two favorites combined into one dish?! This HAD to be amazing right? But nope, the dish just had absolutely no flavor to the point where I had to add copious amounts of salt, pepper, and parm cheese (conveniently already on the table) just to get it to taste like something. The pasta was also incredibly dry, there just wasn't enough sauce on the dish for me. On the upside, portion size of the entree was reasonably big, so ... there was a lot of it? If that's a plus anyways. On the positive side, the garlic bread was AMAZING! Soft, chewy, and lightly toasted, it was bursting with butter & garlic flavor. SO GOOD. I wish there had been more of that! The ice cream dessert at the end was also really good. Rather than force you to get spumoni ice cream, like a lot of other Italian places do, Lomeli's had a variety of flavors to pick from. I picked cappuccino and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Definitely a good way to end the meal. Decor was dated and it felt like their clientele skewed mostly older, as my friend and I were the only 20-somethings in there. Service was alright, although a bit weird. I think they were training a new server, because a guy was following our main server around and taking notes. It was only weird though, because they didn't mention anything to us and so we were left wondering who this guy was. The area we were sat in, was also very close to the kitchen and server areas and let me tell you, we could hear a lot of what they were saying in there. Chit-chatting and laughing and talking, which isn't a big deal for us, but might be for other people who are looking for a different atmosphere. Overall, was not impressed. While the garlic bread and ice cream were yum, I don't really go to Italian places for that. I go for the main entree and it was definitely lacking. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, who knows. Or maybe, Lomeli's is overhyped.
(1)David C.
If you are looking for Italian food the way your Italian Mother makes it, then don't hesitate to stop by Lomeli's. I have been going to Lomeli's in Brea (Previously in Fullerton) for more than 12 years. My favorite dishes are eggplant parmesan and chicken parmesan. The sauce is sweet just the way my Mother makes it! The ice cream desserts are the perfect way to end your meal. I would suggest the cappuccino ice cream. I used to reserve the banquet room for our Brea Soccer Board meetings when I was on the board. I highly recommend taking your family to Lomeli's for lunch or dinner. You will definitely not be disappointed!
(5)Gail O.
I just love this place. I have used them to provide our office Christmas Luncheon for the past 2 years and the food is always amazing. Thank you, Lomeli's! Cheers
(5)Vivi V.
WOW!! The last time I was at Lomeli's was many years ago when they were in Fullerton off Bastanchury and Brea Blvd. in the Stater Bros. center where Early Bird is now located. I was taken there by family and friends on Sat to celebrate Mothers Day. I ordered "pasta your way" and decided on large shells stuffed with spinach and topped with alfredo sauce. The shells were perfect and the sauce was almost as good as my home made sauce. :0) The garlic bread was nice and crispy and everyone in our group was satisfied with their food. They have lots of choices and we all chose the complete dinner choice which comes with soup or salad, garlic bread your entre and a glass of house wine or soda and ice cream. Average price of about 13.00. I know for sure I will be back to try their lunch specials. FYI They require reservations on parties 6 or more and it's gets really busy at about 5:30. Enjoy!!
(5)Holstang V.
I had Lomeli's cater a baby shower for me, and I couldn't have been happier. While placing my order, the gentleman helping me was very nice, and even offered suggestions. I ordered the meat lasagne based on rave reviews, and the fettuccine alfredo. Both were delicious. Even the garlic bread was amazing! People were eating seconds and thirds! Everyone raved about the food, and the prices couldn't be beat. I will definitely be using them for future parties and events. They will be my go-to from now on!!
(5)C L.
The food is good here...is it something I crave? Not really. You do get a lot of bang for your buck here. You'll get your entrée, bread, vino, and ice cream! This place is pretty busy and the service is consistent. I only question the carrots and ranch they give you. HAHA it's kinda weird.
(3)Ricardo Z.
I'm going to give this place 3 stars for food as it was nothing special-- it was good, just not great. The pesto sauce seemed a little bland. Needed some lemon, maybe some more salt too. The marinara was a little too sweet for my taste-- I like real zesty and peppery sauces. The spinach ravioli was good and the veggies included in the veggie lasagna exceeded my expectations. I did see a table order a pizza which made me rethink my order. I'll have to come back and give it a try sometime. Maybe that'll bump the rating up. The service was excellent! Our server was accommodating to our needs and when she was unsure of any questions we had, she would quickly go get a correct answer for us-- I really can't stand it when a server is too embarrassed to not know an answer and decides to make something up instead of being sure. 5 stars for service! Wait was not long at all, food was fresh, environment was clean and casual-- I'll be back here, just not for the pesto. As I said before, that pizza has my full attention!
(4)Juliet Rachel C.
This cozy restaurant is tucked away in a rather outdated commercial plaza on Brea Blvd., but the surroundings don't do it justice. It seems to draw an older crowd. One great thing about this place is that there's always plenty of parking in the plaza lot. It can get really crowded and busy during prime dinner time, so make reservations (for parties of 6 or more), come earlier, or come after the rush on both weekdays and weekends. Service has always been wonderful & you will not be disappointed. Homestyle, hearty, delicious Italian food! The food here is just so comforting and so good. Unlike any of those typical chain Italian restaurants, the dishes here have a homemade taste and are palate pleasing. I have only been here for dinner. I highly recommend getting a "complete dinner" instead of "a la carte" from the dinner selections because Lomeli's offers great varieties of different entrees and the complete dinners include: Salad or soup, garlic bread, ice cream for dessert, and a glass of wine (for those over 21 years). My friend always orders the Combo 1 complete dinner: Lasagna & ravioli (cheese) with spaghetti and meatballs, and I always get the Chicken Marsala or the Shrimp Scampi & Scallops (pasta dish) complete dinners.
(4)Vladimir T.
I don't like long review sooo.... Not good... Not good at all... They were very busy so my wife and I thought it was a good sign. First time in my life I had return my meal. Scampi and scallop pasta.... Smelled like seafood was just defrosted a microwave. Chewy shrimp and dry smallest scallops. Waitress did not even ask me what was wrong... :)
(1)John B.
Usually when I come here the service is pretty good but today it was slow, I will give them a break because it was during lunch but we did tell the severe we wanted to leave quickly. The food was good as usual, I had the lasagna. Can't beat the lunch special here as there are a lot of choices.
(3)Heather L.
Best pizza in brea hands down! It's the only pizza I crave! They load it with toppings, the sauce is the best everrrrrrrrrrr! The ravioli is good too!!!
(5)Mary-Joy C.
What can I say aside from "I love Lomelis!" From the moment you arrive, the line already extends from the door, which is always a good sign. I always anticipate a long wait, but we are always seated immediately (even with a large group). Ambiance: Traditional Italian with the homey feel. Nothing fancy, people wear casual attire and come in groups of friends or family. It can get loud, but not too loud that you can't hear across the table. Food: OMG! The food is amazing and for an incredible price! I usually go for dinner and you can't beat the large entrée with soup/salad, a glass of wine and a little cup of ice cream for $12-$15. The portions are large and the breadstick is to die for! Seriously, even my health fanatic husband couldn't resist 1 or 4... I always get spaghetti with meatballs and it never fails. The lasagna is also great. Service: Not bad. It's not a 5-star restaurant so don't expect that quality. But they are friendly and accommodating. I would go more often if it were close to me... yep, it's that awesome!
(5)Lin F.
Tasty lasagne, spinach ravioli, & spaghetti combo #2--make all of them dinner style to receive salad, drink, & ice cream too. House wines are included as part of the meal deal. Small (sits 4 tightly) Booths available along the walls. Cozy dim restaurant with small staff, so do not be in a hurry here. 1TV in waiting area--so if the NFL game is on your agenda during "family time" or "date night", this place is not going to scratch your itch. Kid friendly, crayons & coloring sheet, covered cups. Food doesn't look like a large serving, but it IS & can be easily shared with 2-4 y.o. child, so ask for extra plate instead of ordering their own dish. Sauce--I like marinara thick & meaty with not too much "Italliene" sausage flavor & not too much garlic overwhelming the flavors. Too much garlic can cause the dish to taste bitter or it bites back with a sharp aftertaste. Lomeli's achieves a nice medley of flavors in their red sauce. Did not try their white or Alfredo sauce--I'm lactose intolerant. Bread basket--complimentary garlic bread with the dinner deal. Over baked crusty slices, so we ate the insides & left the crust. Nice garlic spread on top. it would Be nice if the basket came with our salads or before the meal. Basket arrived midway through main course. Soup--1 type--minestrone--meh. Dim inside. Casual to low maintenance attire. Parking in a plaza lot, so there's lots of parking. Drove past the plaza, u-turns legal here. Dish "dinner meal deal" prices about 12-15$. Reasonable since it includes drink, salad, garlic bread, & ice cream scoop, My new spaghetti factory--except better food & slower service.
(4)Julia k.
A+. My friends and I went to dinner here last night. Service with a smile and food deeeeelish. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. They have been in business for a long time. Appreciate all you do for the community. Thank you Caesar and Jaemi. What a fun time we had. Food perfect.
(5)Kristin W.
Great prices. Good portion sizes and the food is delicious. Love coming here as often as I can and I'm never disappointed. I can't resist their lasagna.
(5)R.I. S.
Food is decent but the service is always bad. If you are patient and really hard up for Italian food, then this is the place for you.
(2)Gunjan N.
This is the place to go for Italian food, the portions are huge the food is amazing! I ordered the full dinner which includes either a side salad or soup, garlic bread, complimentary wine, your meal, and to top it off dessert! All this for $13-$15. Great selection, super friendly staff, and an overall family owned atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back!
(5)Melanie A.
They have changed there name to Fratellinos! We came in almost at closing time, they were really friendly and we were seated right away. The food was really good and it came out quickly!
(5)George E.
Basic neighborhood eatery. Taste is pretty average but at the price, fantastic. Sauce tends to be watery and missing any real, get your attention flavor. Family friendly, can get noisy, nothing changed in twenty years but the name. Not really diet friendly, healthy is debatable. Nice staff until they get busy then they are rushed, kitchen gets slow, and staff tends to just go through the motions. Stay away on holidays when they are really crowded and have been known to lose reservations and miscalculate waiting time (by 30 to 40 minutes). No return for us, but if you need Italian at a bargin price, go for it!
(2)R M.
Have had numerous items in the menu and nothing is bad. By far the best spaghetti around, and that's coming from an Italian! Ciao!
(5)Omar P.
This place is price reasonably! That's why you see a lot of the older folk here. Came her on a Sat night @ 8:30am. Had to wait 25mins for a seat for two. We had the Lomeli's Special: soup/salad Pizza-six small slices Ravioli-chicken Spaghetti w/meatballs +garlic bread Choice of a glass of red/white/blush wine Scoop of ice cream all for 28 bucks Pizza and the spaghetti were the stars. Ravioli was good, but the chicken was unique. it was like ground chicken mixed with cheese and green onion. Service-exceptional So much food...by the end we had garlic bread and 3 pizza left over. Paid and left, and 1min from home, where is the leftovers? "I forgot it at the restaruant" dammit! I wanted next day pizza. Oh well, what a deal!
(5)Kevin S.
This place has a nice homey vibe working for it. When you walk in, the place isn't too large, but not too small, and it has Italian themed awnings and paint on the walls. We had the Lomeli's combo for $29.99, which included spaghetti with meatballs, beef ravioli, and a small cheese pizza. We ordered the "complete dinner" set, which also included a starter salad, ice cream for dessert, and a glass of wine. Every component of the meal was very average - nothing stood out, but nothing was awful either. For the amount of food we got, the price was also... average. Even service was kinda average. It was courteous, but slow and sporadic. Would come back again if I had a coupon, or if I had a huge craving for Italian and was too lazy to make it myself.
(3)James A.
You gotta be kidding! My wife ordered linguine with white clam sauce. It tasted much like sauce from a Progresso can/jar with the oil and bits pieces of clams!!! I could have simply gone to the grocery store and bought a canned clam sauce and made my own linguine with clam sauce. I ordered a combo with spaghetti and ravioli with sausage. The spaghetti was bland. The sausage however was tasty. The complimentary half glass wine was a nice good-will. The garlic bread was very oily and bland. Service was slow and disorganized. It's going to take more than a coupon to bring us back to this restaurant.
(2)Jack M.
Love this place! The linguini with clams are exceptional, and the spaghetti with meatball is delicious!
(5)Cristina R.
I've been coming here for years. My coworkers introduced me to this place. Thy are really friendly. The service is great. The food is delicious. I love the dinner specials which come with soup/salad, complimentary wine, garlic bread and ice cream. I highly recommend you stop by.
(5)S B.
Had them for lunch, love this place!
(5)Katie M.
We came here after seeing that they were voted the best Italian food in the OC. The place was pretty busy so we took that to be a good sign. The establishment is dated, it does need a spruce and a good dusting. Service is quite slow but everyone who works there was very nice, including our waitress. We got a ton of food for the price so we were happy about that. The quality of the food was average, but "good average" if that makes sense. While my alfredo was good, the sauce tasted just like Ragu alfredo sauce but hey, who am I to turn down Ragu? It's good!
(3)Brenda R.
We actually eat at Lomeli's quite a lot, and have over the years. They make the best pizza around. It may not be the less expensive, but it's really, really good pizza.
(5)Connie Z.
Great place! Good atmosphere. Great, attentive staff, even on busy nights which is every time we've been in. All the favorite Italian dishes here... Reasonable prices for good food...We love to take friends and family out to eat here!
(4)Isaac L.
When my wife and I decide on Italian, it's between Lomeli's and another local spot. Needless to say, Lomeli's usually wins. Excellent food, comfortable atmosphere...you won't be disappointed.
(4)Tammy T.
This was the first time my husband and I visited the restaurant. Our waitress Ashley was amazing. She listened to my dietary restrictions and came back to tell me what was on the salad so that I could make a change. I also had to make a change in my entree and there was no problem doing it. We will definitely be returning.
(5)Andrea V.
For a neighborhood family hang-out joint, this place is pretty decent and you get what you pay for. The prices are very reasonable, but the quality of the food is in line with that price point. (That's my nice way of saying it's not the highest quality out there.) The best part of this place is the price. Depending on your preferences for Italian food, you may love or hate this place, but I would say it would generally satisfy the masses. I think I'd rather pay a dollar more and get a smaller quantity but higher quality. They have a $6.50 lunch special which comes with a glass of wine. Too bad I was there for dinner! For around $13, you can get a full dinner. And I do mean full. It even comes with wine! Dinners come with soup or salad, garlic bread, ice cream for dessert and a glass of house wine. That's a pretty solid deal, considering the salad, dessert and wine could cost $13 alone at a more upscale restaurant. On to the food: Salad- mainly iceberg lettuce, including a big hunk of the yucky white part. uhg but at least it came with croutons (also includes pepperoni and cheese, but you can ask for them to leave it off). (2/5) FYI: Minestrone soup is not vegetarian (beef broth). Garlic Bread: I love bread and this was no exception. Warm and soft, while crunchy on top. (4/5) Wine: House wine; white, red or blush. I wouldn't pay for it by itself, but since it was part of the meal... (3/5) Dessert: Spumoni was full of ice chunks. Large and small ones. I hate that in ice cream and it really ruins the experience of an otherwise okay tasting dessert. (2/5) My Meal: Combo with ravioli, lasagna and spaghetti with pesto sauce (instead of meatballs). I took a nibble of lasagna and it was barely warm. That really grossed me out. I tested the ravioli and they were a little warm, while the spaghetti with pesto sauce was fresh and just right. I am guessing that they made everyone's meals at one time, plating my lasagna at the beginning, ravioli later, then spaghetti at the end. I took two or three bites of the spaghetti and I was done. The waitress offerred to warm it up for me, but I didn't know if it would be put in the microwave, how long it would take....and I don't like sending food back (you never know what kind of secret ingredient you might end up with) if I can help it. (1/5) A plus: We had a handful of vegetarians and the waitress was able to accommodate us (marinara instead of meat sauce, etc.). A minus: After bringing my food home and reheating it for lunch the next day, I think the broccoli or something in the lasagna was bad. Like really bad. I had to throw it away. One of my dining companions who tends to have a less discerning palate shared the same concern and also found it inedible. I'm hoping the experience of my meal was unusual, because the service was A-okay. So 3 stars; A-OK. Do I want to go back? No. Would I go back if someone wanted me to join them? Yeah, but I would stick with just the pesto pasta. Lots of parking and clean restrooms! And did I mention free wine?

The pink sauce is the best here! Just had it again tonight and would highly recommend it to anyone who comes here. Ashley is a great server and attentive to detail. I will definitely be back in the future.

We decided to try this place based on the reviews here on yelp. I am surprised by all the 5 stars as well. We have been looking for a good pizza place near Brea for quite some time. So we ordered their large specialty pizza with all the toppings. As another reviewer said, it was very soggy like their sauce wasn't thick enough. And this caused it to have very little flavor except for the other toppings. All in all the flavors just didn't blend. Maybe the other dishes are better but I don't think pizza is one of their specialities.

We love Lomeli's! They've been around a long time and I really like their new location up near guitar center. A few highlights: The sausage lasagna Ravioli with creamy pesto

I really like the ambiance if this place and the food was great, prices were fair and the service was quick! I would recommend taking anyone here that enjoys a nice quiet dinner out!

First off, how can you not love an Italian restaurant that gives you a glass of free wine !!!i got the chicken Marsala dinner which came with soup, garlic bread and ice cream It was all very wonderful ! Then I got a roast beef sandwich to go and it was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a really long time. My server Cody was so nice and helpful, she really took great care of us. When ever we go back I am always going to ask for her Because I know she will give us excellent service

FOODIE REVIEW. Meh. I've been looking for a local Italian spot, and these guys are close, so twice now I've given them a shot. They are nice enough people, however, for starters the decor is dated and tacky. And apparently they just moved into a new location, so they intentionally made it look like an 80's italian joint that hadn't been fixed up since the 70's. They serve free crudités, but to be honest I wish they would save it and put it in the sauce. The food is bland, and their mix and match menu makes for potentially bad combinations. Which unfortunately I have had. Twice. The patrons seem to be mostly doughy family types who were probably too lazy to open a can of Chef Boy-ar-dee, and thus have no comparison for what proper Italian food should taste like...the place ends up being busy, but I wont be back again. To the owners let me just suggest, bring your look into the 21st century, and add some salt and pepper and herbs to ALL of your sauces, they taste like canned. and please stop serving frozen ravioli.... But hey Im a foodie, I like complex flavors, modern prep, seasonal cooking, fresh ingredients...er eesh if you're going old school, put some love into it. Sorry guys, no love here. p.s. As I read through all the 4 and 5 star reviews I laugh to myself as the comparison is made over and over to Olive Garden as top of the bell curve... To my fellow foodies... I think that says it all...

Popular place, but their sauce can't be the reason.I had the veal parm with a side of spaghetti. Their sauce was flavorless and way too sweet. With had spaghetti with meatballs... meatball was pretty good. The price of the dinner 15.95 includes a salad or soup. I had salad with blue cheese (not homemade).small glass of wine and a scoop of ice cream. I think this is the kind of place that wasps like... low on flavor and authenticity but high on value. You get alot of below average food for a reasonable price. Maybe they should charge a few dollars more and raise their quality. I don't know. Not worth a second try, I think thats the best they can do. Not that it means much but I'm 100% italian and its a sin to add sugar to your sauce.

Lomeli's has been my absolute favorite Italian restaurant for year's! I've been dining here since it opened when it started over on Bastenchury and still find myself dining here once if not more a month, shamelessly stuffing my face with the phenomenal cheese filled ravioli. I've had plenty of entrees here and I could honestly say every single one had been mouth savoring but the cheese filled ravioli is so addicting! The minestrone is still my all time favorite soup and for someone who's not into salads they have a great creamy italian dressing to die for! No one can beat their garlic bread and or the price you pay for the amount of food not to mention the additional free glass of wine, garlic bread and ice cream that's included! They run a great business and I seriously started a yelp account to help make it known. I ordered take out salad and garlic bread for my daughter's birthday party this last Saturday and had several compliments. The best part about it was the amount I paid and the amount of food we received on top of how great it tastes! You can't beat Lomeli's ;-p
(5)Michael D.
An authentic "Italian neighborhood restaurant" experience in Orange county! Great place to bring kids because the food is plenty, the atmosphere is casual and the place is devoid of any expensive, exclusive Italian gourmet Phoofeyness!!! No need to raise your pinkey when sipping the wine.

I love Lomeli's! This is the place to go to for some authentic Italian! Forget Olive Garden & other big chain Italian restaurant, go to Lomeli's and you will not be disappointed! Also, it's pretty cozy for some low key date night with your lovey! Food and service is always consistent, I've never had bad experience with this place. My work orders from them for company party and it is always a hit during company dinner/luncheon! I love their complete dinner, it comes with a soup or salad, bread stick, and a choice of red, white or blush wine and ice cream all for a reasonable price! I always get the baked pasta (Mostaccioli) and their cheese pizza (it's freaking delicious!) Nomz!

Oh did I mention food is freshly prepared and delivery with a smile. If your on a tight time crunch, This place is Fast! Owner Ceaser is very generous.
(5)Eric L.
The owner Caesar is wonderful and helpful. The waitstaff is great. The food is affordable and tasty. The wine list is good too... not just the same stuff you'd get at every restaurant, I try a different wine every time I go. Feels good to support a small business rather than some chain. I would also recommend their catering

Tried this place for date night with the husband. Was kind of expecting a lot more than experienced because of all the great hype my husband made for them. Even he was disappointed with everything. Very hospitable staff but the quality of the waitress we had sucked! We waited pretty much the entire dinner to order another drink from the watered down complimentary wine they serve. When the waitress finally came around so we could ask for the soday she was ready to give us to go boxes. She hadn't even come by to ask how our dinner was. The food was alright. Pretty bland. Environment is was nice and welcoming but the food won't really have you coming back.

I have been going to Lomeli's regularly for about 16 years. First at the Gardena location run by a brother to the owner of this Lomeli, and now this one at two different locations. I find their lunch specials one of the greatest values in LA. You can have a wam Sub, a side of spaghetti, carrots with ranch dressing and a small complimentary glass of wine for about 8 dollars. How could you go wrong? The spaghetti is usually a little too well done and the sauce is just good, not great but what a value. I know much of the rest of the menu is also excellent. Eggplant parmigiana, lasagna, etc. I have a friend who loves their pizza with jalepenos.
(5)Deborah B.
Food is good, service this visit TERRIBLE. We were in for lunch and it was chaotic and loud as they were hosting two private parties and clearly not up to the logistics of this. We waited for 15 minutes to even get water. Eventually our server came and took our order (we ordered a dinner meal that comes with a glass of wine) but walked away never asking which wine we wanted, I flagged down the person who it turned out was the owner to get her back to our table. She wasn't particularly rude, she was just absent. Zero follow up, no asking how our meal was or did we want anything else. The diners at the table behind us said she was the worst sever they have ever encountered at this restaurant. I had to snicker since they were a young couple and they referred to her as "the lamest chick ever." As we were still eating the server dumped two take away boxes, again without a word. We flagged her down AGAIN to order our ice cream. I made a point of speaking to the owner, Caesar and he wasn't too concerned, justifying her behavior as "maybe she was overwhelmed." He also put the responsibility on us to have made him aware DURING our meal. I must say, given this woman's attitude I wouldn't have chanced her doing something to our food, which is why I waited until we were leaving. Dismal customer service, but apparently the owner sets the tone among his staff that quality customer service is not a priority...

Fratellino's, previously Lomeli's, gets 2 stars. FOOD: Their noodle is ALWAYS overcooked. My wife has returned her dish almost every single time we've eaten there and that's after she's asked for al dente each time. They have NEVER cooked their noodles correctly. The last time she returned it again and they brought noodles that wouldn't even bend in a circle. Really? What's descent. Vegi soup, chicken marsala and fantastic ice cream. What's not, the overcooked spaghetti, chicken cacciatore (dry dry and dry) lasagna (too much cheese and not much else). SERVICE: TERRIBLE. They are always so slow and not very friendly. Never apologize for their long wait times or overcooked food. 40 min for food even when there's no one there. Every single time we have to ask a bus boy to get our waitress to ask for our check another 10 min ordeal. BOTTOM LINE: So why do we go? Because there are so few places in Fullerton for italian food. They used to give out coupons but even that's not enough anymore to get us into their place. Save time and frustration and find some other place. Let me know if you know of any other than Roman Cucina.

-- This restaurant has gone downhill. I have been going here for about 7 years and it is not as good as it used to be in the past. - The service is fair to poor. The ambiance is fair. The food is fair. - The sauce does not have any zest. + Prices are good

Arrived at Lomeli's for an early lunch - no one was at the entrance to greet us as we came in which seemed to establish a pattern. We were seated by a young person. An older person (busboy?) came to take our drink order but when we told him we were ready to order, he said that he'd get our waitress. After an uncomfortable wait, we flagged him down and asked for our waitress so he went off again to retrieve her. In the interim we ordered our drinks from him - unflavored tea for me but he delivers me raspberry flavored tea. Our waitress shows up to take our order and at my request she replaces my ice tea. I guess we were hoping for faster delivery of our food (a medium pizza) since there were only 4 other tables occupied in the restaurant at that time. But it probably took about 20+ minutes for it to be delivered. The same busboy offered me a refill and again brought me raspberry ice tea which I pointed out to our waitress when she delivered our food. That being said, the pizza was really tasty. None of the wait staff seemed nasty, just not focused. We'd return for the food.

I had only catered for baby showers through Lomeli's before and I always felt the food was yummy but average and that the garlic bread was soggy, but having eaten here in person now, I think it's a solid Italian eatery and very popular! There's something so fab about this comfort food. I also had their zinfandel and also their not soggy garlic bread that I could not stop eating! I love the energy this place has and the wait staff and patrons all seem very nice and are happy to be there.
(3)Eric W.
I will miss lomelies. I will never eat here again. The service is horrible. No refills and the waitress didn't give us garlic bread. I complained to the owner. All he said was he will talk to them. How cheap can u be. At least a discount or pay for my lunch.
(1)Ann V.
I love this place! The service and the food is amazing. It's affordable and the taste it's delicious. Big plates and the salad is delicious.
(5)Melanie R.
Been a long time occasional diner of Lomeli's, and decided to finally write a review tonight... I went there with the friend who introduced me to this place when I moved to the OC 5 years ago. This place is, for me, comfort food at its finest! The food is always hot, flavorful, and the portions generous. Sure the service can be a little slow at times but I am too busy enjoying the complimentary carrot sticks and ranch dip to notice. The reason I decided to write a review tonight is because of our server, Paul. My friend is undergoing treatment for cancer now and food isn't a high priority. It's not a priority at all really. We were told it would be okay for her to order from the kids menu but we decided to have her share my combo. We could have been charged for a split plate, but weren't. He even brought her her own little bowl of soup as I wanted the salad. We weren't able to finish the meal there as my friend was tiring rapidly, and when I told Paul this he was quick to get us packed up, bring the check and get us out of there. He was attentive, compassionate, and we couldn't have asked for better service.

Lunch Specials start at 11-3 p.m. starting at $6.50 Monday: MEAT BALL SANDWICH WITH A SIDE OF SPAGHETTI Tuesday: EGGPLANT PARMIGIANA WITH SPAGHETTI AND GARLIC BREAD Wednesday: SLICE OF PEPPERONI PIZZA WITH A SIDE OF SPAGHETTI Thursday: TORPEDO WITH MINESTRONE SOUP or SALAD, Choice of Dressing Friday: SPAGHETTI WITH MEAT SAUCE AND GARLIC BREAD Saturday & Sunday: MEAT BALL SANDWICH WITH A SIDE OF SPAGHETTI I went today, Tuesday, and their eggplant parmigiana was super good and filling. It was worth my money, definitely. If you're 21+, you get a small glass of wine: red or white - it was nasty in my opinion. The garlic bread = oh my goooodness, so yummy! There was a slight wait since I went during lunch hour, but it was a 5-10 minutes wait. The service was alright. She was very polite and to quickly ask us if we needed anything. A very cute, small venue. I'd definitely come back!

I'm not a huge fan of Italian food, but this place really hit the spot! I came here for a holiday lunch with my coworkers and when I first stepped in, the interior smelled a bit musty. But aside from that, the interior was really cozy. It looks like a family owned Italian and maybe my new place to go when I crave some authentic pasta. No more Olive Garden for me! I ordered the lunch special: Spinach ravioli ($7.50). It comes with a complimentary glass of house wine. Which I didn't get. I added the minestrone soup to the order. Soup was good. It tasted pretty fresh, not too salty and the soup was packed with vegetables and beans. The spinach ravioli was also really delicious. It was too cheesy and the meat sauce it came with had a good portion of meat. The ravioli came in 6 pieces. Which is more then enough during lunch. The lunch entrees also came with garlic bread! Warm and fresh! For dessert I got the spumoni ice cream. Love the colors and the flavors. One scoop was a nice size and more then enough. Service was good. The waitress was also really knowledge and helpful. Drinks were being refilled and old plates taken away. The prices here are reasonable, portions and generous and the food really tasty. A nice option when you are sick of Olive Garden. :P
(4)Paul W.
Good honest Italian American food. Great value, portions and prices are very good. Simple, clean, well executed flavors. They make a very respectable meatball. Order the ravioli, you'll thank me.
(4)Rho L.
I've never had the pleasure of dining at lomeli's myself, but yearly, when our office votes for which resto caters our holiday luncheon, lomeli's always wins any other option that's put forth. Typically, we get spaghetti with meatballs, fetuccine alfredo, ravioli, and chicken parm. We also throw in salad and garlic bread to further aid the letharic doom that awaits us an hour later. . All the food is good, for lack of a more fitting adjective, but nothing so spectacular that I'd give up olive garden.
(3)Rachel S.
Great service, family style. Good food at good price, always packed though...

Was expecting a good meal but found out it was not. Growing up in a Sicilian neighborhood in Brooklyn, I have seen some really good Italian food. This was not it. The most basic test for me is the veal parm. If you can't do veal parm right, there is nothing more to talk about. Ordered the veal parm dinner. Salad was standard stuff, with two small slices of cheese and a single slice pf pepperoni on top. Veal parm came out. Decent amount of pasta with the veal parm. Veal parm was a total failure. It basically looked like ground beef held together by the cheese. I guess the veal was so thin, it broke into pieces. Probably more breading than veal. I didn't even have to cut the veal since it was already in tiny pieces. This place failed the veal parm test so badly. It was $16 for a dinner set. Salad, garlic bread, house wine, entree, and ice cream. Garlic bread was not really toasted. House red tasted like Chianti but had some weird sugary after taste. Would be a great deal if the entree wasn't so bad. Wait time(45-50 minutes) was a bit longer than they said (20-25 minutes). Not an efficiently run restaurant. You had the owner, one other guy, and the hostess trying to figure out where people should sit while you had two guys trying to clean and set up the tables. At anytime the host booth/cashier/takeout counter had 4 people there. The wait staff took a while to get to you. Overall I don't see what the great reviews are about. Food is not great and service is lacking. It's really only good for a cheap meal without the staff rushing you out.

Lomeli's is the epitome of simple homestyle italian comfort food. The dimly lit restaurant exudes the same ambiance as their old Fullerton location although it is twice the size. D and I were famished so we ordered the Lasagna and Veal Parmigiana entrees as a Complete Dinner - it included a side salad (or soup), garlic bread, a 2oz mini glass of house red (or white, blush) and a scoop of ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, cappuccino or spumoni) for each of us. The veal was tender and flavorful and the lasagna was filled with ricotta, meat and topped with a big helping of mozzarella cheese. The generous portions gave us that satisfying feeling that immediately threw us into a food coma. Lomeli's is average at best and although not the best Italian food we've had, the price is very reasonable (our meal came out to less than $30 for the both of us) so we'll definitely be coming back here.
(4)Margy S.
Awesome food. Great for take out or staying and enjoying a meal. The little glass of wine and dessert make the meal special. Great friendly owners and staff.
(5)David B.
Food is good- not great. Staff are friendly. Prices are fair. There is usually a wait ( no more than five to ten minutes). Intimate feel (lights are not overly bright). As much as I like the restaurant, I dread being seated in the back of the restaurant- feels like we are sitting in a closet... If we are dining with guests, we request (pray for) a table in the main dining area. Just being honest.
(3)Jason L.
OK, here's what I did appreciate about Lomeli's: The decor, general ambiance, and (I'd like to think) menu lends itself to authenticity. I'm not Italian, and often suspect that I take Italian food for granted, and can't sniff out the real thing when comparing with someplace pervasive like, oh, the Olive Garden. However, from what I can gather this place is the real deal. But, even if the food is "authentic" is it good?? Well, I'm glad you asked... Overall, the food was pretty good. I had the "complete meal" cannelloni. The pasta itself was fine, but with the complete meals you also get a pretty great little salad (with slices of mozzarella(?) and pepperoni), a small glass of red, blush or white wine, and a scoop of ice cream. Not bad for 12-ish bucks. If the above positive points had been matched with friendly or comparable service, I would have definitely given 4-stars. However, our waiter seemed distracted, or stressed, or nervous. To be honest, all of the younger servers we interacted with seemed either dismissive or frazzled. Our waiter actually stopped us from just ordering our meals when he came to take our drink order: "I have to itemize, guys" (maybe someone who has worked as a server can explain this to me?). Anyway, I think I'll check out some of the other local Italian before I go back to Lomeli's.
(3)Kathy S.
I like eating pizza. Beef pizza's always my favorite, wonderful taste, clear place .
(4)Travis L.
Lomeli's is a family friendly Itailan Restaurant. They serve amazing food, with decent service, for a reasonable price. Prices: are outstanding for the quality and quantity of food you receive at Lomeli's. It is a place you can afford to take your family too. Service: is OK, you are not walking into a 5 star restaurant. The service is not bad, however you will find your dining experience to be more diner style with servers friendly but not to the extreme. Food: is 5 stars for sure. The portions are large and in most cases big enough to share. You can choose to eat Ala Carte or a Complete Dinner. The Complete Dinner's come with choice of Soup/Salad, Garlic Bread, Entree, Wine, and Ice Cream. The Wine list is lack luster at best but the amazing food out weighs this fact. If you can't live without good wine they have a modest $7 corkage so bring your own. I would have to say they have probably the most amazing Egg Plant Parmesan you will ever sink your teeth into. But everything on the menu is amazing. Interesting side note after speaking with the owner one evening he said the pizza is the best thing on his menu. I would have to agree it is an amazing pie but far from the best item on the menu. Over All: Lomeli's will remain a family favorite in my house hold. If not for the average service and poor wine list it would be a stand alone 5 stars. For all you parents this is an amazing place to dine with children because it has incredible food and you are not constantly looking over your shoulder if your kids are being kids. (not to mention they just received 2nd place for best family restaurant in Orange County.)
(4)sarah b.
The server Cody is the best!! She was on top of everything: making sure we were okay and had our drinks filled. Recommend this place and ask for her. Made our first experience the best.

I came here with friends for a friends birthday on a Friday night. The restaurant is kind of small but when we went, it was packed. There was a lot of people waiting but they didn't have a large section for people to wait. And since it was cold outside, everyone was waiting inside and no one can get in and out of the door. We actually had a hard time going through the crowd to get to our table. I ordered Combo 2 which is the Lasagna, Ravioli with Beef, and Spaghetti and Sausage as a complete dinner which also comes with soup or salad, garlic bread and an ice cream. If you're 21 and over, you can request for their complimentary wine. They also give a plate of vegetables when you are seated. Plate of vegetables (free): It comes with Pepperoncini and Carrots with ranch. It's pretty good and healthy since the rest of the food is heavy and starchy. Minestrone soup with crackers: It tasted more like a tomato soup with pasta, beans, and some vegetables. This was ok. The pasta was a little over cooked. Combo 2: The Lasagna was fine but I couldn't tell if it looked alright or not since it was combined with the Ravioli and Spaghetti. I like more meat than cheese in my Lasagna but it wasn't that bad since it wasn't too cheesy. The Ravioli can come with Cheese, Beef, Spinach or Chicken but I ordered the Beef. The Ravioli comes in 3 pieces but they were large but I liked this one out of the 3. The Spaghetti and Sausage was ok. The pasta was ok and the sauce was ok. The Sausage comes as a large Sausage. It was good but I don't think it was the best. Garlic Bread: It was good. The bread is pretty thick so I only ate one piece and the Combo 2 is on a large dish (just like all the other dishes), it got me full pretty fast. Ice Cream: You can choose from Chocolate, Vanilla, Spumoni, Rainbow Sherbet, or Cappuccino flavors. I had the Cappuccino flavor ice cream which was really good. Wine (you need to request it for a complimentary wine): They offered red, white and some other wine (I forgot). I got the red wine. It was ok. They give a good amount of wine too so if you can any of the other dishes that they offer, you can get a wine. Our waitress was nice. She came by often and got our refills for our drinks. She gave us a box just in case if we needed to take any of the food home but we didn't need to. Overall, pretty nice place to eat with family or friends and they give a lot of food. I would come back here again and try their other dishes.

This restaurant has a lot of common classic Italian dishes. It is not particularly innovative in any way but the food simply tastes good. I've tried a few things and found that the beef ravioli is better than what can be found at a lot of other Italian places. One common issue that comes up when ordering raviolis in a restaurant is the quantity of the food. I think these raviolis are slightly larger and thicker than average, plus the same ravioli can be ordered as a half catering tray for ~$34. This usually ends up feeding four of us with leftovers for 2 extra meals, and it bypasses the potential issue of slow service if you call it in ahead of time. The garlic bread is also very tasty, mainly from butter or oil. Again, nothing innovative, but I like how it comes free with a catering order.
(4)Steph N.
So... this review is based on a "to-go", party tray. So... may be a little low/high as my experience is limited but just keep that in mind. Yelp needs a 3.5 rating LOL 3 feels too low and 4 feels too high... so we got salad.. no carrots in that like on of the pictures that another yelp took but there's like pepperoni, cheese, and peppers + standard - iceberg lettuce/carrots/reddish purplish julienne cabbage. They give you lots of dressing and croutons. Pasta - we had two kinds that were just noodle and sauce (one white, one red) and one red pasta w/ meat... seems like meat just added on top of tray but not really through out.. tasty and filling but seems plain.. they give you a lot of parm too and it's pretty legit. Oh and there were a lot of garlic bread but I can't give you my review as I refrained from that butter loaded-ness. Pasta was penne. Not sure on price but yeah.

Well two friends of my brother has been telling him all about this place for some time. So last night my mom was with us and her birthday was earlier this week . So my bro sad lets go for Italian. Service was wonderful the Ice Cream and sherbet were very GOOD I had Cappuccino chip LOVED IT!!!! The free sip of wine was fun not bad wine!!! All and all a very nice experience!!!

You get more than you spend in this restaurant. Very nice environment, great service, friendly crew. Best of all is price. You have to spend double in any Italian restaurant in this class to get, what you get for your money overall.

Great Italian restaurant in Brea. Service was excellent and prices were great for the complete dinners. (Three courses and a complimentary glass of wine!) Definitely coming back!
(5)Bri S.
My roommate recommended Lomeli's when I was looking for somewhere to take a visiting friend for dinner. GREAT CHOICE! We were seated very promptly, and though the atmosphere was a BIT more "family-style" than we usually go for, it was definitely inviting. We got a kick out of the carrots as appetizers instead of the normal bread or rolls. So yummy! We both ordered complete dinners which included soup/salad, a pasta dish, ice cream & a glass of complimentary wine. Everything was incredibly tasty, and both of us had leftovers to take home... which is saying a lot for my friend-- he's a member of the "Clean Plate Club" !! Best of all- we found it very affordable. Just over $30 for the two of us. Long story short, Lomeli's is a great family restaurant, and a perfect place to grab dinner with a friend. My roommate also recommends their take-out service :)
(4)Lindsay D.
As other reviewers have said, the service is really, really slow. Normally at an Italian place you get bread while you wait for your meal, we were given ranch dressing, cut carrots and jalapenos, quite odd. My boyfriend enjoyed the chicken parmesan and I had delicious stuffed shells, but they were really small. His salad was REALLY plain. I had minestrone soup, tasted like it was from a can, but it was good. For the price it was really good. The meals come with soup or salad, the meal, and a scoop of ice cream. The main reason we went is for a cannoli, they have REAL cannolies. I will return for that again. Went to an Italian place last year, their cannoli tasted like cream cheese! Gross. Lomeli's was perfect. We will be returning, but next time we will allot more time to just sit around and wait for the check.
(3)Catherine U.
Lomeli's is a cute and quaint Italian restaurant. The food was pretty good (I've had better in Fullerton), but the complementary wine and garlic bread was a plus. I had the cheese ravioli, sampled the minestrone soup and had the salad. All of the dishes were excellent, and I would go back to eat at Lomeli's. No complaints here :)
(4)Daniel A.
The Owner here is great and makes sure you come back tomorrow. He says "See you tomorrow" when you leave. I can get full quick here off of a few dollars. I like the lasagna three course meal (lasagna, garlic bread, house salad, cappuccino ice cream, red wine) which leads me to a food coma when I am done. I am a big fan of when they have their 50% off your tab day but make sure to get there early since it gets crowded. Amazing that a place this good could give you even more discounts over favorable meal prices.
(4)Erin J.
We are so lucky to have Lomeli's in Brea. We had 5 star service, food and experience last night. This cozy restaurant is consistently good and last night it was exceptional. Bravo!
(5)Natasha P.
My family and I have counted on Lomeli's to cater our events for many years. We are never disappointed. Great quality and good portion sizes. Not to mention, the garlic bread is superb! Love the family feel of it. Great owner and staff!
(5)Nickole R.
I'm obsessed with this restaurant. Anyone looking for fine Italian cuisine with great atmosphere, and exceptional customer service at an affordable price, will love it here. The food is delicious. It is always fresh and the staff is always kind and gracious. Five stars! My favorite Italian restaurant.
(5)Joel B.
This is a family restaurant with a nice atmosphere and very nice people. I ordered an Alfredo sauce with sausage on fettuccini. That was from an area on the where you can choose your own pasta sauce and stuff on top. That was a mistake because it was really just OK. My wife ordered eggplant parmigiana where the chef puts his own touch to it and it was quite good. Most full dinners are under $15, which is very reasonable and good, the Make-your-own-pasta is a long was from culinary brilliance (not sure what I was thinking), but the eggplant parmigiana is pretty darned good. We waited a little while and asked other folks what they liked and the feticini Alfredo was recommended (wrong), and the pizza isn't great (don't know) but everybody we talked to had been there a lot and were very pleased with the place.

If it wasn't for the slow service, i would have liked to give this restaurant 5 stars. Their complete dinner set is a bargain which not only includes soup or salad and dessert, but even a small glass of complimentary wine, all for a mere $12.70. This place has a very homey feel to it. There were lots of families around in addition to a bunch of cute elderly couples on dates. TIP: don't get anything other than the cappucino ice cream for dessert. The other ice cream flavors are just regular. The cappucino ice cream had these little chocolate coffee chips in it. It was the perfect end to a filling meal.

Lunch specials are really cheap, and I do mean really cheap! They are about $6.50 and come with carrots, fresh garlic bread, entree, and complimentary small glass of red wine, blush, or white wine. My co-worker and I had the spaghetti while my other co-worker had the lasagna. When we first stepped into this restaurant, all I could think of was wow, what a cute little place. It's so adorable and especially at lunch time, there's a lot of seniors eating here. They definately have a following. When the food finally came, it looked so good. One bite into my meatball, I was really loving it. The lasagna looked great as well. I didn't have any, so I can only comment on what my co-worker said. She said it was good. Overall, you can't beat a full lunch for only about $7. I'd recommend this place for those who are on a budget and want just really yummy Italian food in Fullerton.
(4)Matt D.
Solid Italian that you grew up loving. If your not their early, it has a wait. Great specials and large portions. The catering trays are the best for large groups, football parties, etc. The owner is usually at the restaurant and his pride shows through in your experience. The new location has a great back room for large groups.

I can only really review three things at Lomeli's because I have never tried anything else. Everytime I go I get angel hair pasta with pink sauce (baked), extra garlic bread and cappucino ice cream. The pink sauce is amazing and if you get it baked it's even better. Trust me. I love Lomeli's and eat here often. The service is great and I always leave eating way more than I should have.

Awesome Eggplant parm & lasagna. Full of flavor! Service is great and food tasty!

Since we were headed to the Brea Mall today, we decided to swing by here on the way for lunch. I am so glad we did! We were the first to arrive around 11:30 this morning. The waitress told us to sit wherever we wanted, so we chose a booth. She immediately came over with carrot sticks, pepperocinis, and Ranch dipping sauce. We ordered our drinks then started reading the menu. They have a section of lunch specials, all for $6.50, AND they include one complimentary glass of wine - what a steal! I went with the spaghetti & meatball special, which also comes with two pieces of garlic bread. I opted out on the wine...I know it was 5 o'clock somewhere, but it was still a bit early for me. BF got a Torpedo sandwich, and we also got an order of mozzarella sticks. The food was out very quickly. My spaghetti and meatball (one large meatball) were delicious. The garlic bread was super garlicy and awesome. BF enjoyed his Torpedo. Lunch for both of us? $23...not bad at all for the quantity and quality of the food. I will definitely be back for dinner. I also told my parents about it because they advertise that seniors get 15% off between 3-5, and my parents LOVE their senior discounts!
(5)Vincent Z.
This is voted OC's best Italian Restraurant for a reason. Great traditional Italian food at a great price. Can't eat here too often.
(5)Stephanie W.
After living in brea for several years, we finally came here. We were seated right away, since we didn't care to wait for a booth. Carrot sticks, and little peppers came out right away as a snack. Husband ordered the combo - can't remember which one, and I ordered the cannelloni. Both were good, but I think mine was better. And overall good experience, and we would return.
(4)Emily D.
Im still giving it 5 stars despite my boyfriends protest. He was adventurous and tried the shrimp & scallops on linguine. I could smell the fishy-ness from across the table and he said it tasted as bad as it smells. The shrimps were rubbery and the scallops tasted fine but smelled like a fish market at the end of a hot day. Just stick to beef & you wont be disappointed. Also the spumoni is still amazing (& free with your meal!)
(5)Jim C.
Great food, reasonable prices, loud.
(5)Jimmy L.
Don't go there! They ripped off scouts! They told them salad was included w the order when it was phoned in. The scouts got there and the employee said it doesn't and they don't know why their employee said it did. When they asked the manager, they said that they can't do anything about it. But they can sell it to the scouts for extra charge.
(1)Leah S.
Great food and service. Great lunch specials all week!
(5)Wellington C.
In my opinion Lomelis is the opitome of a family style restaurant. The decorations are very plain looking, nothing really stands out but thats ok because i think they do a pretty good job with the food and the pricing. I have never eaten in the restaunt but I have order catering from here before for church functions. WHen your on a really tight budget and you need to feel a lot of people, this is a good place to go. All the trays come with generous servings of the garlic bread. I like the red sauce pasta dishes better than their white sauce. Another good thing about the catered food is that they put the aluminum trays into easy to carry boxes. Makes transporation a lot easier, especially if your trying to avoid getting pasta sauce all over your car.
(4)Aubrey B.
My boyfriend and I have been regulars here for years now. Hands down, our very favorite place to go. We always order the Lomeli's special because it has a little bit of everything. We can't even go to an Olive Garden anymore, not to mention, order a pizza from a chain like pizza hut without thinking "it's just not the same as Lomelis". Service is always outstanding. We love this place! There's nothing else like it.
(5)Kimberly R.
Dinner tonight... Just PERFECT! I had cheese ravioli with light sauce and it was excellent. A half portion would have been perfect! Hubby had spaghetti and meat sauce and cleared his plate! Service was wonderful and prompt!
(5)Debbie J.
The food tastes good, but sometimes the service can be slow. Don't know if it's because they don't have enough staff or that they do a lot of take out orders for parties. The ravioli with pink sauce (marinara mixed with alfredo sauce) is my favorite and their garlic bread is the best when it is hot and fresh.
(4)brian t.
Went in for an early lunch last friday. There was a really large company party going on and I thought it was a mistake to stay as their service is usually not fast when they're not real busy. Well, it was a big, very pleasant surprise when we had ice water on the table as we were seated, had our order taken in about 2 or 3 minutes, got our antepasto about 5 mins later and our piazza about 10 or 15 mins. after that. Food was good, no mistakes, great service, Great Job!

Because I can't rate Lomeli's with 1.5 stars, I am giving them 2. I have read that Lomeli's is rated Best Italian Restaurant in Orange County by the Register. For this reason, I thought I must try this place! Well...I am now convinced that they either: a) paid the register to give them this title or b) are close friends/family with someone who works at the Register. The fresh salad was basically chopped up lettuce on a plate. I tried the spaghetti with meat sauce, and the sauce was nothing to write home about. It was generic tasting. I wouldn't be surprised if it came from a jar. The only good thing I experienced was the garlic bread. I probably won't be coming back. Go to Roman Cucina in Fullerton, or La Bettola in Yorba Linda to experience good Italian food.
(2)Dana S.
This is my favorite place EVER! soooo yummy! I work at olive garden and this place is a million times better, and the portions are gigantic! I love reading the reviews where people call it a "shot" of wine...they need to realize that ,for only TWO dollars more you are getting a salad or soup, wine, bread, and ice cream...can't complain about that!! The servers are slow sometimes, but being one myself I get it, and don't really care that much. oh and i love the carrots and pepperoncinis you get right when you sit down! I always get the combo with ravioli, spaghetti and a meatball, and lasagna. I get the spinach ravioli with alfredo sauce, and it comes on a side plate. It seems like you get way more spaghetti that way!! The dressing on the salad does come heavy, so if you don't like that ask for it on the side..simple as that! Pretty sure people who rate this place low are picky and expect five star service at a small hole in the wall restaurant...all you haters go home!!
(5)Mizah M.
Staff seemed very nice. I did a take-out order, Deluxe Pizza and a Combo 1. Perhaps it was bad because it was take-out, I am not sure, but either way their food should be consistent whether dining in or to-go. Pizza was ok, nothing special, not worth the price. The Combo 1 - "Beef" Ravioli, the meat tasted like taco bell meat. Everything else was overwhelmingly bland. The Spaghetti and Meatball, the meatball was gross, it did not taste like meat, I think they mix it with a lot of fat, and some sort of filler, and still add no seasoning, not even salt. The side of Eggplant was pretty good. Garlic bread was so-so, but you get a lot of it. Will not be going back.
(1)Jennifer O.
One word: Meh. Tonight was the second time we tried this place. Each time was nothing special. Our server really didn't seem to care. He asked us what kind of wine we wanted .... and then forgot to bring it. He brought the bill .... and then didn't come back for 20 minutes and only came back once we stood to leave. I enjoyed the dinner salad. it was fresh and I liked that there was cheese and pepperoni on the top. The entree itself (I had the lasagna) wasn't very good. It might as well have been a Stouffer's frozen meal. We wanted to go to Roman Cucina, which is the best Italian in town IMHO, but the parking in downtown Fullerton on a Friday night coupled with the idiots that are usually in downtown Fullerton weekend nights kept us away. At least at Lomeli's parking is a snap and there aren't drunk people wandering around outside.

The spumoni ice cream alone is worthy of five stars. Absolutely delicious blend of cherry, chocolate and pistachio ice cream. Spinach stuff shells with meat sauce was very yummy! There's something special about the meat sauce, a unique flavor I'm unable to decipher, so odds are of recreating the sauce is not likely. (I don't usually order dishes I know I can make). Very affordable prices. They offer al la carte or dinner option which includes soup/salad, a glass of wine and desert (trust me, you'll want dessert). Their garlic bread is oozing in buttery goodness; well worth the guilt. Very friendly hostess and quick staff. It was crowded the Saturday evening I went but being a party of two we were seated within ten minutes. The murals on the walls are beautiful but it is a very small restaurant; great place to take the family or friends but not really a date place, at least not one where you want to set a particular ambiance.
(4)Todd M.
Short and sweet: Lomeli's is the best Italian food in North OC. Dinners all come with choice of soup or salad, glass of wine, garlic bread, and ice cream. So. Much. Food. Get ready for leftovers,
(5)Diane H.
If you are looking for a great place for catering at a great price... this IS the place. I had a party last night for approx 90 people and ordered 3 of full trays of pasta ( mastaccoili, cheese ravioli and fettuccini alfredo wth chicken and vegetables) Every last bit was eaten! I probably could have done 4 trays... I will know for next time. But, everyone raved at how delicious everything was! We have also dined in quite a few times and the service is great!
(5)Erin H.
Oh no no. Being Italian I know I can be a little biased when it comes to traditional Italian food. You will never catch me enjoying a meal at Olive Garden, I don't prefer to eat frozen re-heated food. But when it came to Lomeli's, they managed to scare me off before I even tried their food. My date and I didn't even bother finishing our meals or sticking around for desert. They served us both a "glass" of wine which was more like a taster of wine really and before we even got our meal, my date was finding termites dropping on his head and shoulders from the wooden contraption above our heads. We got our food, tried a few bites and instantly got to-go boxes, paid for the meal and bailed. Those to-go boxes didn't make it very far, I couldn't even stand having the smell of that food in our car. The service was slow and our waitress was a little on the rude side. I guess I shouldn't have really expected too much from a strip-mall restaurant.
(1)Ana B.
If the spaghetti factory wasn't so shitty - it would be this place. All the meals you can make a combo which comes with garlic bread, a glass of house wine, a salad or soup and ice cream! It's just a dollar or so more, what a deal! I liked that they had combos, for us indecisive people, I got combo 5 Lasagna and Fettucini Alfredo - together at last! The rest of the menu was as to be expected, nothing special really. First we got out salad, the ratio of dressing to lettuce was about 2:1. It was was drenched! It has pepperonis in it which was unexpected. Way to take salad back! The garlic bread was yummy and so was our meal. The food was not mind-blowing or anything, but for the price you really can't beat it.
(4)Patricia M.
i've only been here once but i sooo love this place. i had the veggie lasagna and it was soo good. i got really full eating it with their fresh garlic bread. i also enjoyed the complimentary glass of wine. and also the coffee ice cream, which was a good ending for a great meal. i am definitely going here again next time im in the area and craving for some good italian food :)
(4)Mark S.
Been coming here for ears since the other location. Good food at a good price. I've only ever once been displeased by the service.
(4)Dawn K.
Ruined our special occasions - twice. I guess what they say is true - "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me". Our first experience with Lomeli's was the end of last year. We were having a "re-do" Christmas because half the family was sick for the actual event. We ordered Lomeli's to go (since we don't live near here, my dad picked it up on the way home from work). When he arrived at the indicated time, the order was not ready. They made him wait over 1/2 hour for the pick up. Then when we got the food home, the order was wrong. Greeeaaat. Oh well, we ignored it and went on with our celebration. The food was decent and we were starving. We gave Lomelis another try for my mom's birthday last week. Unfortunately, the experience was WORSE. Again, the order was not ready for pickup time. The staff was rude (my father, who NEVER gets angry/curses said the lady was a b----). The order was WRONG AGAIN when we got home. Pasta order was incorrect, we were shorted one whole pizza, and salad was incorrect. Give me a break. When we called to complain, they stated that it was "their fault" but could not refund the money to our card, rather put a slip at the front desk for credit to our next order!?!?!?!?! What next order?? Why would we patronize your establishment again? We had to order Dominos to make up for the shortfall. Who ever heard of a restaurant not able to refund the money for a messed up order???? Ridiculous. I hope that the owners of this place read this and learn that customers expect basic things - courtesy, correct orders, and refunds when you mess up. I would recommend you avoid this place.

The dinner salad is really fresh. The shrimp ravioli in pink sauce is my favorite item on my menu. The ravioli itself is so soft and filling is creamy & scrumptious. The pink sauce is flavorful, but not too much to overpower the ravioli. It also isn't too thick, so you won't suffer flavor fatigue. And you get ice cream at the end! The price is reasonable/cheap too for everything you get. If you're looking for traditional Italian dishes, then Lomeli's is great! But if you're looking for something for unique, I'd suggest elsewhere. 3.5 Stars!
(4)Hazel V.
We really wanted to love this family-owned restaurant but our past visits have been disappointing. The food was ok, but definitely not special enough for us to come back and put up with the super slow service again. If we ever want food from here, we'll probably just call in for pick-up.
(2)Steve H.
My all-time favorite restaurant! I've been going since they opened in 2000, and have never been dissatisfied. The prices are great for a nice Italian place, the food comes in big portions, and the staff is awesome. At any restaurant, wine is important. Lomeli's has VERY fair priced wine, and even gives you a small glass with your dinner. All of the food is great, but I have a weakness for their alfredo sauce. Chicken parm and their pizzas are also amazing. Only downside, the place gets packed. But if your in a rush, then a nice Italian restaurant may not be your best choice anyway.
(5)Shannon D.
Tried Lomeli's for the first time on Friday night. I went on a double date dinner with my boyfriend and some friends of ours who have been going to this place for years. I must say I was glad they brought us here. It was a little crowded but that's typical for Friday nights anyplace so we didn't mind. I had scallops with shrimp and linguine in Italian style sauce it was VERY good and the meal came with a choice of soup or salad, a small glass of wine, and dessert. All four of us ordered some type of "meal" and it only came out to 60 dollars! Super cheap if you ask me, and the food was very good. I will definitely be back here...and my boyfriend works just around the corner so hell probably be back more ofter too.
(5)Rob S.
I've been living in the area for 13 years and can't believe I hadn't heard of this place until tonight. A nothing-fancy Italian restaurant. No crazy Italian-Japanese fusion dishes or anything like that. Just lasagna, meatballs, ravioli, etc. It tasted great, especially the marinara sauce, which had a distinct sweetness to it. prices are very reasonable and the servers were friendly and attentive. I will be going back. A lot.
(4)Becky L.
Food portions are excellent, but a couple waitresses can be politer when handing customers' take-out orders by at least a "thank you" or "hope to see you soon".....Their customer service skills are NOT quite top-notch, but I'm not complaining because their pricing is very economic, and it's about four doors down from my work, Virtuo Music School and Performing Arts Center at 610 S. Brea Blvd. And by the way, I'd like to repeat the idea that their location IS extremely convenient; u can't miss it---it's in the beginning of this particular plaza (first corner restaurant). Parking is convenient. Please do try it; it's quiet in there too that you can actually hear each other talking! *****These are the following dishes I have tried from their menu so far: 1. Dinner Ravioli with Beef (and Marinara Beef sauce) 2. Spaghetti (from my coworker's order) but I ordered a side of Garlic Bread with it....soooooo yummmie. 3. Side of Garlic Bread....(they're the best in town).... 4. Dinner Spaghetti (the second time I ordered on this take-out).... =p
(4)R. J. D.
Really like this restaurant, We have a retirement group that move all over SOCAL for lunches, we have tried Lomeli's twice, and all 8 of us like this place, everyone seems to get something different and we all like the food and it is really clean.
(4)Karen W.
My husband and I are long time loyal customers to Lomeli's. We have followed them from Fullerton to Brea. That being said, we can not rave more about the food and atmospere for a nice evening out. Tonight I can say the service was very disappointing. Our waiter was Paul. Not only did we have to ask about the usual crudite, wine and bread, but the bill was literally flopped on our table and leisurely picked up without so much of a thank you or please come back. I'm not being unreasonable when I ask that a waiter should at least try to make the evening enjoyable , especially if a tip is expected. It's not the type of service that I would expect from Lomeli's and I hope others could expect more.
(4)Elaine K.
I will give Lomeli's a star because they are a cute family-owned Italian restaurant in Fullerton, but their food is just not good. Yes they give you a "glass" of wine (more like a shot) with your dinner upon request, but that just didn't do it for me. They start you off with carrot sticks (healthy), because let's face it, do we really need endless amounts of bread and carbs? I am a carb-fiend so secretly I was a sad, fat girl when they brought carrots out. It's like they were reading my mind and doing the exact opposite. Accompanied with the dinner came a scoop of your choice of ice cream, the entree, and garlic bread. Let me just tell you, the garlic bread was the best part. Both my boyfriend and I ordered chicken dishes. He ordered the chicken parmesan and I ordered chicken marsala. Last time I checked, chicken marsala was supposed to be made with marsala wine, nope, not this one. Both of the dishes were disappointing. The chicken was so thin and flat, they definitely took a meat pounder to thin it out and make it look bigger. The boy was also disappointed with his chicken parmesan. Well, you live and you learn. I gave Lomeli's a chance and it disappointed.

The other day at Fullerton Hardware, we got to talking to the sales rep. and I mentioned I had attended High School there and the area of fullerton I grew up in. The sales rep. mentioned Lomeli's for Italian and I said I've seen that place but never went in. He said, it's good and he should know. And I said really. He said he's full italian . Well shit howdy! Today, we ordered a large pepperoni, sausage and mushroom. At pickup, the cashier was gracious and courteous. They promptly brought it out. When we opened the box, the smell wafted out and it was Good! My nose smiled :-) Details: The pizza is medium crust with generous amounts of sauce, pepperoni , mushrooms and sausage. They top the pizza with a layer of tastey fresh cheese: so all the other ingredients are underneath. Nice . . Can a pizza be photogenic? yep, it was a beauty and tasted tutto gusto! Def. going back. 3 stars for now.
(3)Matt H.
One of my favorite little local places here in Brea, great for dining or delivery! Great to still get the small glass of wine with dinner, reminds me of my youth and dining with the family. Love the pizza and lasagna the best, they have a great creamy Italian dressing too. Nothing special, just good food you can count on!
(4)helen s.
I'm not a big fan of Italian food but I decided to come here because my little cousin loves pasta. We came here on a Wednesday evening and it was really packed! I ordered a baked pasta while my cousin ordered the angel hair w/ alfredo sauce. He seemed to love it. I thought my dish was Ok, but in all fairness, I'm not the biggest pasta fan. Additional minus star for the mediocre service. Our waitress wasn't really friendly and had a bit of an attitude. Decent place for food though for a reasonable price.
(3)Ben B.
Went for lunch with my mother. We ordered the Margherita Pizza. Service was a bit sparse, hard to get someone to your table if you know what I mean. The pizza came out after about 25 minutes and, in addition to the use of way too much cheese and a crust that was more Chicago than NY (too thick), the pizza was NOT HOT AT ALL, but just merely a bit warm. My mother and I talked it over and decided to give them a chance to fix it. With some difficulty we flagged down our waitress and asked her to send it back to the oven. The pie had clearly been sitting and cooling for several minutes - probably along the order of 10 minutes or so. Astoundingly, the pie returned to our table after several minutes and, though a little warmer, was still NOT HOT!!! We asked to see the owner, he came over and HE PROCEEDED TO ARGUE WITH US THAT THE PIZZA WAS HOT!!!!! We told him we weren't happy and that we wanted to leave. He then BROUGHT US A FULL BILL FOR 19.00!!!! I told him we weren't going to be paying for the pizza we did not eat and that it was unacceptable. He muttered something about calling somebody (did he mean the cops?!?!!) The punch line was when he grabbed a spatula while saying, "if it wasn't hot it wouldn't be melted." He began scraping into the corner of a slice as if to prove his point but then encountered a solid chunk of hardened cold mozzarella cheese!!! I told him he was right, if it WERE hot it WOULD be melted. Which clearly WAS NOT the case. He really shot himself in the foot with that move... we left a tip for our waitress and walked out. What a joke. I still cannot believe he (A) presented an un-reduced bill for food we were so clearly not happy with, and (B) Argued that we were wrong in our assertion that the food was cold! Incredible. He even went so far as to cite his long experience in the business as justification for his position, saying essentially, "I've been in the business for 23 years, therefore I know and you don't!" Never again. WOW... stay away if you know anything about pizza or have standards above those met by a place like Chuck E Cheese, Pizza Hut, or Domino's.
(1)Stephanie D.
I love this place. It has a homey feeling that matches the food they provide. The owner is always so sweet, greeting people by their first name. The garlic bread and the pink sauce... Amazing. I also love the creamy pesto with mushrooms on angel hair. SO GOOD. It's good for big parties, they have a room in the back for that.
(5)Mike M.
The best Italian food in N. OC. Great pizza, pasta and salads.
(5)Stephanie D.
Found this place through Yelp & am glad I did. My boyfriend and I came for an early dinner and ordered: Mozzarella sticks- premade & baked, but still delicious Chicken Marsala- served in a marsala cream sauce. I really liked it, but my boyfriend though it was lacking in flavor. Pizza- we ordered the 3 topping with artichoke, jalapeno, and sausage and had them do an alfredo/pesto sauce. It was SO yummy. Here the complete dinners come with a salad which was pretty good, yummy garlic bread, and a big scoop of spumoni ice cream. It also comes with a glass of wine which we opted not to have. While we sat through dinner we noticed that this place is a senior citizen's dream with their low prices, senior discount, and complete meals. The service and food are both good and I can see how all people- not just the senior crowd could enjoy coming here.

The boy and I felt like Italian the other night, so we looked up nearby Italian places and this one popped up. Looked it up on Yelp, and saw that they had good reviews. It is super close by, so we decided to try it out. Pulled up and there was a wait to get it... Normally this is a bummer, but we weren't in a rush and we just figured, this place MUST be good if there is a wait. The wait was only about 10-15 minutes, not too bad. And honestly, I think the only reason the wait was that long was because there was a large group taking up the entire middle section. So anyways, the restaurant is in a little shopping center, but don't let this fool you, the atmosphere inside is cozy, comfortable, and well, just plain cute. Onto the food... DELICIOUS. The boy and I both got Ravioli ... I got the spinach, he got the shrimp. This place has a GREAT deal for dinner... they call it the "Complete Meal". This includes a salad, main course, garlic bread, complimentary house wine, AND ice cream! *SIDE NOTE: they put a couple slices of salami on their salad, so Veggies, make sure to request no meat! Oh and instead of chips or bread, they serve carrots and ranch to nibble on while waiting for your food, AWESOME. So the food was good, the service was good, the wine was good, and the price was best. $28 for two complete meals that left you full and content, but not overstuffed with pasta oozing out of your ears. Perfect. Can't wait to go back and try some other meals, they have a very good selection of different pasta and sauces!
(4)Jodi K.
Lomeli's is yummy! My husband and I adore this place. The pizza is great, the Italian salad dressing is awesome and I have had pretty good food otherwise. Mr. Lomeli has become our friend, he is superb. The pricing is pretty good. They get very busy, so go at off times!
(4)Suzanne C.
We decided to try Lomeli's for family birthday dinner and we were sorely disappointed. I thought since they have been around for so long that their food must be good, right? Not so much... First of all, the service was super-slow, we got our menus and it was quite awhile before anyone even bothered to take our order. While they have a good selection, the quality of food is very poor. The spaghetti was overcooked, the sauce was too sweet and the bread was very greasy. Also the salad dressing was way too heavy. And, forget about the complimentary wine, it is more of a "shot" of a very bad wine. I gave the restaurant two stars because it is cute, and family owned, but if you are looking for good quality, authentic Italian food, this is not the place to go.
(2)Randy S.
I went there for lunch today. It took them forever to do all aspects of lunch. I ordered the special, meatball sandwich with a side of spaghetti. It took them over 15 min to take my order, 35 min to bring me my food, and the meatball sandwich tasted like bell pepper only. The spaghetti was like watered down tomato past on under cooked pasta noodles. Their house red wine was the worst wine that I have ever had, it tasted like it was old, and left out too long. The Lomeli's Italian Restaurant I went too was on Brea Blvd.
(1)Joe P.
The food is not authentic nor fresh. Our pasta had quite a watery sauce. Piss poor! The service was bland at best. The "ambiance" is on par with the food. The price is not low enough to waste a dinner here.
(1)Mark J.
* I liked the food. Garlic bread, mozzarella sticks and my lunch portion chicken parmigiana were all yum. * Economical Italian food. Big portions. * Gets busy so expect some wait time or get there early. * We were a big group (10) and I think we walked in. So the waitress had a tough time managing our table. Most of us got chicken parmigiana and so they took sometime to get the chicken. In the meantime they served us the pasta in smaller plate and then followed by chicken in another smaller plate. Bad idea. I got mine on the same plate but rest of the group had to juggle food between two plates. * They forgot to provide us plates for the appetizers or it must be an Italian custom! I had no problems with that cuz my appetizers stayed longer in my mouth than my hands. I will definitely go there again. Probably in a smaller group!

Went on a Sunday night with a bogo coupon. Old style family Italian joint. I had the sausage which I liked. Plenty left to take home. Judy had the chicken Marsala which she says is excellent. The mini glass of wine is a nice touch. Tip - on the ice cream, skip the cappuccino and pick the spumoni.

I'm always looking for new Italian places to try. The kind that are relaxed and casual, not all stuffy and fancy. So the other day I was looking through one of the 27 coupon magazines I get in the mail each week and ran across an ad for Lomeli's in Fullerton. I had never heard of the place, but the BOGO coupon seemed like a killer deal for a 'complete Italian dinner'. So we decided to check it out that same night..... I loved this place! This place is tucked in the corner of a Stater Bros shopping center. Family owned since 1978. Very casual atmosphere. All your basics on the menu. The complete dinners include soup or salad, garlic bread, entree, ice cream and a glass of wine. If you can't decide.... they also offer some great combos like Lasagna, Ravioli and Spaghetti & Meatball for right around $13. Food was great! I will definitely be back. I noticed a lot of regular customers and a lot of take out orders. On the way out I grabbed a take-out menu and noticed the prices were cheaper on take-out orders (no wine/ no dessert/ no salad). The same combo above is only $8 for take-out. What a deal. No wonder they do so much take-out business.

I've only eaten here once, and the service was ok. All the other times I ordered to go. One thing for sure, the place is always packed at dinner time on the weekends, so I'm sure the service falls behind sometimes. The reason it's so busy is because it has an excellent value to quality ratio. Is there better italian food out there? Of course, much better. In fact if I did not consider price, I would've given this place 3 stars. However, most the dishes are under $10 dollars and most are good. In fact, they have a couple of standouts like the Pepper and Sausage Linguini. Yeah, standard Italian cuisine, nothing fancy, but consistent. Salads, soups and garlic bread are consistently good too. You would be hard pressed to find better Italian food at this price.

Forget what anyone has said about their favorite Italian restaurant and head on over to Lomeli's. I have been coming here for years, and will continue to do so until the doors close and the lights turn off, not that it will happen any time soon. This restaraunt is vibrant and full of people who get to know you, and once they do its like you become a part of the family. Families who wait to be seated even get to know each other. Don't be surprised at the wait times, its busy, but once you get your table you are in for a treat. Service is exceptional, food is delicious, and the atmosphere is lively. Lunch service you get free wine, if you order a full dinner menu you get soup or salad, bread, and dessert for a reasonable price. So its well worth it.

I have a rather fond memory of this place because, many years ago, I had dinner at Lomeli's with my freshman homecoming group. I remember having a very good time and eating delicious food. I recently visited Lomeli's again for the first time since with my girlfriend. The place has really great vibe and decor. Very warm and cozy. It puts you at ease right away. Each table has lit candles and a single rose in a vase. quite romantic. To kick off the meal, they brought out carrot sticks with ranch! I love it! It's a light and refreshing way to start things off. :) (just like I remember!) I think the carrot sticks might have been left to soak for some time in water with salt and/or some herbs or something because I ate the carrots sticks without ranch yet there was some flavor. (besides the natural carrot flavor if you can say they have one) I didn't care much for the garlic bread, but my girl thought it was, and I quote, "Piping hot and crispy." The house salad was typical and nothing to write home about. The only real negative of the meal was the complementary wine. Besides tasting like a "five-buck-chuck", it was served at room temperature. Come on! Drinking unchilled wine is like drinking warm beer. yuck. However, the main dishes fared much better. I had the vegetable lasagna and my girlfriend had the sample which includes the ravioli, lasagna, and spaghetti with meat balls. I enjoyed the vegetable lasagna. It had plenty of vegetables and the tomato sauce was delish. My girlfriend said her dish was average and enjoyed the meatball. (*snicker snicker*) Did have one complaint that everything seemed drenched in marinara sauce. The sorbet they served for dessert was refreshing and delicious, but thanks to the generous servings, we were both too full to really touch it. XD In summary, a solid but rather ordinary Italian restaurant in terms of food. Great service. Great ambiance. Decent food at good prices. Good place to bring your family, friends, or that special someone. I will most likely be coming back here. I want to try out their pizzas. P.S.: you can sign up to receive coupons by email.

I used to think that this place was by far the best Italian food. Since my last visit at the new location it just is not the same. The food was just par and our waitress totally sucked. Left highly dissapointed ad probably won't be going back anytime soon.

I have been going to Lomeli's since I was a little girl. I LOVE everything Lomeli's has. Lomeli's is hands down THE BEST Italian restraunt in Orange County. I am always very happy with my meals and service. I have NEVER once have had an issue with service or my meals. I am definitely a life long customer!

Saturday night (11/27), and second time here. First time at the new location. The baked eggplant parm was amazingly good! Loads of flavor in the marina red sauce. The minestrone soup was okay. The dinner comes with a side of pasta, which I wasn't in the mood for and asked if they could substitute for a side of spinach or veggies instead. They offered broccoli with garlic, which was tasty. The Mrs. had the lasagna / fettuccine Alfredo, which she said was really good and fresh tasting. Included with each dinner is a complimentary glass of red, white or blush wine. Yes, it is a small glass, but really, why complain if it's free??? They gave us a choice of ice cream for dessert, also included as part of the dinner? Service was stretched thin for a Saturday night. Our server was attentive, however it looked like he was working many tables at a time while trying to keep everyone happy. Priced right for the area and food offered. We'll be back. (ps. if the owner(s) read this, a suggestion for the holiday season would be to add some holiday decorations.

Yah, I'd totally be a Fan of Lomeli's if I lived nearby. Why? Hole-in-the-wall Italian Restaurant. Really good, reasonbly priced "complete" dinners that include soup or salad, garlic bread, ice cream and a glass of house wine!! Yes, all of that!! Good service. Check 'em out.

Went to Lomeli's last night for the first time in a few years. We arrived to a big sign that says they're moving to a new location on Brea Blvd. It is an end of an era on Bastanchury. I was excited to see they are expanding. However, I wasn't so excited about the food. Normally everything is so fresh and flavorful but last night it was bland, runny and not very tasty. I am unwilling to completely trash it because I have such a soft spot in my heart, but it was very disappointing. We started with the minestrone that honestly tasted like Campbell's Soup. It didn't have the depth of flavor it usually does. It was more like a stoup than soup, very thick. Perhaps we got the end of the pot or something. We ordered the meatball casserole and combo 4 (lasagna and fettucini alfredo). The meatballs were of course gigantic but tasted more like bread crumbs than meat and really didn't have much flavor beyond that. The sauce, which I usually love, full of onions and peppers was very tomatoey and runny, not its usually thick version, packed full of flavors that just melt in your mouth. My friend said the fettucini was fine but not spectacular and that she likes lasagna with meat in it, not just in the sauce. So its very heavy on the ricotta, which is fine if you like that. The garlic bread was great, once it finally arrived towards the end of our dinner. It took us nearly 15 minutes to have our payment processed so we could leave (and we were there later in the evening, after 8, so it wasn't crowded). Overall just not up to its usual standards.

I usually like this restaurant but the chicken Marsala is not one of their best items. The goal of pounding the chicken breast is to achieve even thickness, pounding the already thin edges thinner gives the chicken a rubber like texture. Marsala wine is not expensive but you would think so. The same with the mushrooms, you might say "what mushrooms". Lots of pasta not much else going on here. Try something different. JT

So this place was alright....I dont see how it got 5 stars from everyone. It is sort of a homestyle place. The food was just ok.. I had pasta with the bell pepper sauce and I tried some of my friends manicotti. Nothing was amazing but nothing was bad. We went along with other reviewers and got the full dinner, and Im glad I did, I think that the italian dressing was the best part of the meal lol. I dunno I dont live in the area and if I were back there I would probably try somewhere else
(3)Laurel R.
I think the food is great. My favorite dishes are Chicken Parm and the Shrimp and Scallop Fettucini Alfredo. Lunch service can be a little slow even when the restaurant doesn't appear to be busy. In general, this restaurant is very popular and very busy. Since I am on my own, I usually call in to-go order and pick it up so that I can eat at home. The order is always done on time and well packaged with friendly service.
(4)Clint B.
Good pizza, good lasagna, big portions. It's been about six years in between visits for me. Next time I won't wait so long for a return visit.
(3)Mike M.
Love this place! food is great, the price is right and the service is good! They have tons of food to choose from and the dinning area is perfect for a date!
(4)Billy P.
great food and reasonable price. The establishment is clean, nice and cozy. Staff is friendly, food is quality. outstanding local eatery.
(4)Danyel H.
I'm a little surprised by the good reviews I read about this place. When I entered the restaurant I wasn't greeted by anyone even though there was a man standing behind the counter when I walked in. After standing around for a few minutes we finally had to say something to the employees for them to even acknowledge our presence...definitely not a good first impression. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. The food was just okay. There was nothing about this place that would make me want to go back.
(2)Tammy L.
Had lunch here and I thought this place was okay. They have lil booths and played italian music which my friend thought was weird but overall i liked it. They also served a complimentary glass of wine. the lasagna was goood and price is just right for the amount we got. I would go back
(3)Lacy G.
I had the sausage casserole with angel hair pasta. It was way more than I could eat so if you are a big eater this is a good place for you. About 10 bucks for the a la cart. Way better than The Olive Garden but still not excellent Italian food.
(3)Caroline P.
When I go to any Italian restaurant, I want to see huge chunks of bread. It would be a plus if they were smothered in garlic and butter, but any type of bread will do. But right when we sat down, what did I get? CARROTS. Raw, crunchy, and orange. I hate carrots with all of my heart. But because I was so hungry, I just started nibbling and felt for a split second that I was in some vegetarian establishment, which I do NOT support with any ounce of my heart. But no, this was an Italian place and I prayed that the food would be good. I ordered the combo with spaghetti, spinach ravioli and lasagna (which is PERFECT FOR MEEEEEE!!!!), and that came with the garlic bread (finally!) and a glass of wine. Okay, this is all a VERY good deal for a $11-$12 meal, and I approved greatly of the giant portions they gave. I was impressed that a restaurant could actually be this generous. The wine was whatever, the food wasn't EXCEPTIONAL, but I thought it was one of those 'you get what you pay for' type of experiences. I'd definitely like to go back and try some other dishes. But I'll be sure to take a friend who loves carrots. Or maybe a bunny rabbit.
(4)Fred W.
This place serves up a lot of food for the price. It's decent, but not great, italian food. I equate it with olive garden, which I'm not too keen on. Some people really like that type of food, I guess. We had to wait a long time for our food, but they were really busy. So the service wasn't great by virtue of them being slammed, not like they were being lazy or inattentive. And they are very nice.
(3)Timmy S.
Located in a strip mall, it's a small and busy restaurant. A lot of delicious food for cheap. We had a short 5 minute wait at 6pm on a Saturday. Got seated in a comfortable booth. I couldn't decide what to get so got a combo plate dinner. For a little over $12. I got a plate of carrots and jalapenos with dipping sauce before ordering; a good sized fresh salad; small glass of house wine ("okay" at best); a basket of garlic bread; a main course (the combo I chose) of spaghetti and a big meatball, spinach ravioli, and beef lasagne; and a big scoop of chocolate ice cream for dessert. All food was yummy and had a home-cooked feel. Make sure you are really hungry when you go here or be ready to take a doggy bag home.
(4)Cesar R.
Meals are great its a nice place and people are great. I've had better red sauces before but this one if good still and maybe if it was better i would have given a 5 star. I would not discourage you from trying anything on menu.
(4)Marisa H.
Awesome italian food, we just love this place. Their meals are complete with salad, ice cream, main iten, and bread...and each item is perfect. Growing up we always went to Spagetti Factory, but Lomelis makes Spagetti Factory seem like bad cafeteria food. Our favorites are the chicken parmesan, and garden salad with chicken. We actually were not that impressed with the pizza, and prefer the home style tasty pasta dishes. And, the service is great, and apparently a guy sings there too, for tips of course which is cool. Be sure to get on their mailing list and get coupons evey couple months or so.

At the recommendation of my sister-in-law, we went to Lomeli's after my nephew's baseball game at the Fullerton Sports Complex. First off, all I can say is that if this place were in my neighborhood, I would be there several times a week. It's extremely rare to find a place that has QUALITY, QUANTITY and REASONABLE PRICES. This place fits the bill in all three of the aforementioned areas. As a general rule, I just don't believe in spending my money for Italian. Reason being is that it seems that whenever I order pasta, it's not that much better than the stuff I get out of a jar at home. But not at Lomeli's. IMHO, their food tastes very authentic. It's true that I may not be an expert in Italian Cuisine, but I just thought the pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce tasted savory and homemade with the perfect amount and combination of spices. The meatballs were also obviously handmade and had the perfect amount of savoriness and spiciness. Everybody in our party ordered the all inclusive meals, which started with carrot sticks and ranch dressing, then garlic bread, salad (or soup), entree, dessert and a glass wine. All for about $15.00 (or thereabouts in that range). I was impressed at the obvious quality of the ingredients used in the cooking. The ice-cream was clearly of a Premium Grade. I ordered the cappuccino ice cream, which had pieces of goodness in it (I think it was coffee beans or toffee -- not sure what added the crunch, but it was delicious). Since I don't drink wine, I can't comment on the quality. One person in our party was unimpressed with the wine, but what do you expect for a free glass (she wasn't complaining -- just seemed underwhelmed). Our whole meal was like 15 bucks, whereas a single glass of wine elsewhere will run you 7-8 dollars. My only complaint would be that they should let you substitute a soda for the wine, but this was not an option. All in all, I was left fully stuffed, and thoroughly impressed by our dinner at Lomeli's. On one hand, I wish I had a place like this closer to home. But on the other hand, if I did, I would have to spend a few more hours on the treadmill. Oh well, I'll just have to visit Lomeli's when I'm in the North OC. Oh, lastly, the atmosphere was very family oriented. Definitely had a homey feel to it. I sure love to support the Mom and Pop small family businesses whenever I can. To the Lomeli's owners/management, I say "Don't change a thing" (except that drink-substitution thing mentioned earlier).

Great family place the kids really like the bread and ice cream for dessert I really like the complimentary carrots. My husband and I like having a nice family place to go to after Mass. We have never had to wait more then 15 min to be seated and we have never felt rushed to leave even when theres a line to get in, service can be a bit slow but we don't mind our family uses it as an opportunity to catch up on some good old fashioned family card games. great food, great price see you there on Sunday! P.S. My teenage daughter wants me to add that she LOVES the Cheese Ravioli and Fettuccine Alfredo.
(4)Cynthia W.
Ooh yeah, this is the must try place if you enjoy home-style service and food! Great for lunch and dinner.

Lomeli's is A-Ok. BEEN THERE: Once, found just by driving-by, looking for a place to kill some time and eat. AMBIANCE: Nothing fancy, but very nice family-style restaurant ambiance and interior decor. It's larger than it looks from the outside, tables are well spaced, not crowded or difficult to navigate in. Good for groups. MENU: Very typically Italian PRICES: Reasonable. FOOD: Good. There were 4 of us, each ordering different kinds of typical italian pasta dishes, mine was the Bolognese/Meat Sauce, which was no stellar culinary experience, but good!! Everyone else was happy with their meal. SERVICE: Unfortunately, our waiter needs to find another career. Fortunately though, one of the more senior waitresses went out of her way to ask how our experience was, and I definitely let her know. She was apologetic and friendly. Other than that, Lomeli's is alright, I have no problem going back nor recommending to anyone free from overly high expectations.
(3)Minerva N.
My husbands co-worker recommended Lomelis , unfortunately it has been the worst Italian food we've tasted, the minestrone soup tasted like it was straight out of a can, we ordered the spaghetti lunch and only had ONE meatball, and on top of it all the waitress was horrible, she never came to check on us and when she left the check she set it on the table and said let me know if you need anything as she was walking away fom us. I will definitely not go back or recommend this place.
(1)SANDRA D.
Food was good, plentiful & prices were good. Definitely will go back! We got soup, entree (eggplant parmesan & chicken marsala) bread, ice cream & a glass of wine each & only $35 & brought home enough for lunch tomorrow!
(5)Renee A.
My boyfriend and I came here to try a new place and were very disappointed. The food was great, the service was horrible!!! Our server was Mandy, she did not introduce herself (we only found her name by looking on the receipt), and after delivering our food, we never saw her. A busboy refilled our drinks and brought out our boxes. We waited so long we could have walked out on the bill, instead she got a 20 cent tip. We will not be returning.
(1)Will D.
I would have rather gone to Olive Garden. Not only was the food mediocre but instead of bread (like you would expect at an Italian restaurant) we were served carrots and ranch dressing. If I wanted rabbit food I wouldn't have gone out for Italian. The taste of wine was a nice gesture, but I could have done without it. Not a good wine and so little of it that even if it was good I wouldn't have been able to appreciate it. I won't be visiting again.
(1)Darren J.
So here is the thing, Lomeli's is pretty good food at a very good price. The atmosphere is quite nice; the owner, who is usually present, remembers your face and treats you well; and the overall experience is typically quite pleasant. Again, the food is pretty good. That means the pizza is flavorful but not remarkable, the past dishes on the simple side but generally tasty and the salad basic. My favorite is the Eggplant Parmesan which is actually high on the flavor scale. As others have mentioned, if you order the complete dinnner you get your entree, garlic bread, a glass of wine, salad or minestrone soup and ice cream. That's the trick.....all that at real fine prices, and thus.....4 stars.
(4)Britt W.
I completely understand why Lomeli's has a 4-star average. I also kind of figured that I wouldn't rate Lomeli's quite as high after reading the reviews. The girlfriend, J, and I wanted to try a new place that was off the beaten path (at least off our beaten path) so after a day at Disneyland we turned to Yelp for some inspiration. J wanted Italian despite the fact that our lunch was at Redd Rocket's Pizza Port. After an illogical process of elimination we settled for Lomeli's and a 20 minute drive in the opposite direction of home. With the economy in the tank we haven't had to wait at a restaurant for several months so we took the 45 minutes as a good sign. The menu seemed adequate and the prices were great. J asked me how they could serve so much food for such a low price. As soon as our food arrived we figured it out. We have both had worse Italian food and I think it might be a little unfair to call our meal bad. But it definitely wasn't good. We had the perfect scenario set up for a great meal. We were both tired and a little cold. We had worked up a good appetite after walking around Disneyland and California Adventure all day. Plus we both love Italian food so the proverbial table was set. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and J ordered Combo II (lasagna, cheese ravioli & spaghetti with sausage). The starter salad was decent but uninspiring. Iceberg lettuce, a couples of pepperoni, a slice of cheese, a black olive and a pepperocini. The garlic bread wasn't bad but wasn't memorable. My chicken parmigiana was kind of flavorless and my spaghetti side was overcooked and covered in a marinara sauce that resembled canned pureed tomatoes with no seasoning. The pasta was sitting in a pool of water. J described her sausage as "dog meat in a tube". In all fairness J has never actually tasted dog meat so her description might be a little exaggerated. I had a bite of the sausage and agreed it wasn't good. J felt that the sauce was pretty boring and wasn't impressed with the lasagna or the ravioli. The spumoni ice cream tasted like the low grade spumoni they serve at The Old Spaghetti factory. We both wondered if the other ice cream flavors were better. So this is how I would sum up Lomeli's. If you aren't picky about the quality of Italian food (i.e., you think The Olive Garden is the bomb) and you want a lot of bang for your buck then you will love Lomeli's. But, if you a little more critical of Italian food and can still afford to eat at the numerous quality Italian restaurants in Orange County then you should probably skip it.
(2)Isaiah O.
good place to eat. A lot better than going to a place like Olive Garden. Menu is simple but everything is good.
(3)Alex P.
I went here with a friend in the early afternoon on a weekday and was thoroughly impressed. It was fairly full still from the lunch rush, but we were seated within a minute. Everyone that helped/served us was very polite and the interior had a great ambience to it. As far as the food goes, I ordered the fettucini alfredo (plain, no chicken) and while they did give me a good amount, I felt that the sauce was a little on the bland side. During the lunch special, you get a glass of house wine free, which makes it an even better deal. I can't remember what my friend ordered, but he really liked his meal as well. The garlic bread is really delicious too. This place is fantastic and I will definitely be returning. You can easily get away with a good lunch for less than $10 here. One thing: while I wouldn't necessarily call it dressy, I did feel a little awkward when I walked in wearing shorts and a t-shirt while most of the people there were businessmen or retired people wearing nicer clothes. Something to keep in mind.
(4)Eric F.
The pasta dishes were not that great. Pasta was over cooked to where it just becomes mush while you eat it. Soup was good and they serve moretti.
(2)Kaz T.
A great family Italian restaurant. Super owners. Food is very good and plenty of it.
(4)Jake C.
So far most authentic italian restaurant in OC, CA. BTW, they moved to brea blvd. Very fresh tomato sauce, and chicken marsala are not heavy. Big portion.
(5)Lionheart D.
I really like their lunch deals with the complimentary glass of wine. Their new location is pretty cool, I like the layout a little better. The prices are great and the waitstaff is generally good.

If you are looking for a great Italian Restaurant then look no further .. Lomelis has great meals that include wine and ice cream at the end and most of the meals are under 10.00.. I see from previous comments people complained that the wine is like a taster but hey its free and included so enjoy .. They serve carrots and ranch as a starter , which is healthy and yummy... and you get delicious bread with your meal.. The ambiance is always cozy and family oriented which makes your dining experience very relaxing .. The staff is amazing , like a big family .. They are usually really busy with alot of tables but still have a smile .. If you want a cozy restaurant and a great meal for a great price I would def give Lomelis a shot ...=)

I got takeout pizza a few years ago from the old Bastanchury location, and it was good, but Sunday night (Pizza night for us) the place was always to busy to consider going. Tonight I went by only to find that they had were no longer on Bastanchury. "oh well" says I "there's gotta be another Italian place SOMEwhere" and I drive down the road. A couple miles away I do a double take: Hey! It's Lomeli's! Friendly greeting, nice lighting (not too bright, not too dim), quick service, I got a combo meal of lasagna and ravioli with Spaghetti included. It was inexpensive enough that I didn't mind the 2 ravioli on a side dish that came with it. They were delicious, by the way. The lasagna was a little bit of a mess, but tasted good. Tomato savory with a good sweetness from the ricotta. Not amazing food, as has been already pointed out here, but on par with what I would make at home--and I'm no slouch in the kitchen. Will I come back? Yes. Would I recommend to friends? Yes. Will I ask about portion size? Yes.

This place is 5 stars in my book...it was 4 on my first visit but went up to 5 on my second... :-) Yes, it is that good! My honey and I were just driving around the hills of Fullerton when we pulled into this shopping center and found hidden away is this perfect little Italian place. I was a little skeptical at first, but when I saw all the people, I knew I was in for a treat. It is a small place with tables and booths close together, but do not let that stop you from going. It feels like home. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service EXCELLENT! The waitresses are very attentive and take good care of you. Even though they were completely booked with people it felt like we were the only ones. So sweet, so nice. The food is Excellent both in taste and value. You can choose your meal a la carte or full dinner which comes with yummy garlic bread (soft and toasty), salad, ice cream (mmm...) and if you want a glass of wine. (I do not drink wine, but if you do that's cool) I cannot comment on the pizza, but the pasta is great! I got the baked shells and they were so good. Oven baked with hearty meat sauce and cheese throughout...Yum with a capital Y! :-) Husband also had the pasta with meatballs. They are some of the best meatballs I have ever had. So good in fact, I got Meatball casserole my second time here. Again, Thumbs up. Now, it may be a little high... ($10-$14 a dinner) but it is well worth it. I don't think they could do better if they had my own Nonna (grandmother). Enjoy yourself, eat, and come again...Just like every Italian restaurant should be!
(5)Adam I.
Went there with no expectations. Came away highly impressed and more importantly, stuffed! Got the Lomeli's combo for 2 with cheese pizza and spaghetti/ravioli. Delish! Pizza crust was AMAZING! Definitely a place to back to. Again. And again. And again.
(5)Meg W.
$13 for salad, wine, garlic bread, and a huge plate of pasta, ohhh and ice cream! How could u not love this place.
(5)Liz R.
Absolutely love this place. Great food & reasonable prices. My husband & I come about twice a month & the staff always remember us & what we ordered the last time. Nice :-)
(5)Stefanie D.
Great food plus great atmosphere, what can be better??! Delicious tomato sauce, garlic bread, and big portions. I love the combo dinners, which provides variety- choice of 2-3 entrees, plus soup or salad, house wine and ice cream dessert. I'm a fan!
(4)Cody B.
This place is great. There is a nice, dimly lit, italian atmosphere that suits the place perfectly. It is hard to beat their ravioli. It is abundant with flavor. Overall this is a great family place with amazing food. I can't say much more than that you must give it a try. Simply one of my favorites.
(5)Juliana N.
This was a ehh restaurant. i wouldn't come back...actually maybe for the pink sauce! i must say the pink sauce is to die for. I truly think the only reason people come to Lomeli's is for their ice cream . The ice cream is smooth and makes up for everything else, so hats off to them for that.
(3)Roxy A.
I came here on V-day w/ the bf after going to disneyland. =) It was cute cuz they decorated the place for valentine's day w/ lil heart balloons at each table. The restaurant itself isn't like super fancy, but you can tell that this is a spot that locals like to frequent. I love the food here..the complete dinner option is a pretty good deal too considering it comes w/ a glass of wine(red/white/blush), minestrone soup/house salad, fresh garlic bread (taaasty), and a scoop of ice cream after dinner (i heard the spumoni is good, but since im allergic to nuts ive never tried it). Their pasta is delish..their lasagna is soo good, soo cheesy and just the right amount of meat sauce. Their pizza is also pretty tasty. For a bunch of family parties we've had it catered by lomeli's..and they always throw in a fatty bag of garlic bread w/ your order!
(4)Roberto R.
I went here with my professor and other classmates of mine to Lomelis. It was a great experience. I suggest the fettichini alfredo!

1. Make sure you sign up for their e-mail because you get really good deals like buy one get one or a %off, (and they don't bombard you with junk e-mail). 2. It's not worth going unless you get the full dinner: salad or soup (which they make from scratch), entree, a 4oz. glass of wine, and ice-cream. 3. the wait is usually too long during dinner time (there's only about 20 tables) 4. don't bring a large group: there isn't room, and the servers can't really handle it... 5. the service is hit or miss (usually a miss) 6. it's a hit however in the yummy department and.... 7. old people love it (great for parties of 4) 8. the atmosphere is quaint 9. the location is convenient (easy from brea/fullerton/placentia/yorba linda/anaheim hills/la habra) 10. their is a large menu, and the popular stuff is really good (lasagna, pasta, alfred, chicken parmesan, pizza, etc.)

Ok, so there are Italian restaurants and then there's Lomeli's. This is the best kept secret in OC. This is the only Itallian restaurant I know that offers you the option of a "spicey" sauce. Also, they have these great combos in case you can't make up your mind. The combos are great because you get so much for so little. You can order a soup or salad, 3 main courses (pasta, lasagnia, and ravioli for instance), get a free dessert and even a house glass of wine. Ok the wine is not so good but everything else is just spectacular and all for like $12 a person!!!! Wow...unbeatable. Great family restaurant. The only problem is that it's a bit small and lines get quite long. Be prepared.

I have been eating here for about six years now, I suppose I owe them a review. Basically, this is my go-to Italian place. The prices, decent. The portions, generous. The flavor, sublime... Everything they make tastes wonderful, fresh, and made with care. The portions are hu-gantic and you will not leave hungry. You may not even leave with your pants buttoned. I recommend their pizzas especially. The crust tastes perfect and unique. Also, they serve my favorite blend of iced tea, the name of which eludes me. The service is impeccable and the owners are wonderful. In a world where Italian restaurants abound, this is my place. I know I give out a lot of fives it seems like, but this is truly a five-star Italian restaurant that's affordable for all involved.

The food was Awesome as usual. The wife and I love coming here, we can relax and take our time. There's no rush or hurry when your at Lomeli's. The staff is great and the food is even better.

Went to the new location and food was ok this time... location is bigger but not as comforting as the other place..

Initially my boyfriend and I were planning to go to Italian place out in Marina del Rey since he had to go to Gardena to run some errands. But that got canceled so we decided to dine at a local restaurant. I was craving for some good garlic bread, so I searched yelp for some garlic bread and I found here. After reading good reviews, we decided to check this place out. Below are the scores... (2.5/5) Shrimp & Scampi (Italian style) (2.5/5) Shrimp & Scampi (Alfredo style) (3/5) Chicken Tender (3/5) Garlic bread (3/5) Minestrone soup (2.5/5) Salad (3/5) Cappuccino ice cream (3.5/5) Italian ice cream (forgot the name) We got 2 entrees with complete meal. BF got the soup and I got the salad. Salad was normal salad, but slices of cheese on the salad was very delicious. The reason pasta gets 2.5/5 is because it was a bit flavorless. It was good, but I think it was missing something... Also pasta was fully cooked and it was not aldente. Garlic bread was normal as it could be, it was good but not that impressive. All in all, I think it's nice that complete meal comes with salad or soup, complementary wine, and dessert for a reasonable price.

Good italian food, large portions, and a taste of wine and spumoni all for under $12.00? Yes! The new location is a little awkward, but other than that this place is great! The staff is accomodating and the service was fast. My favorite is the pink sauce with angel hair :)

Stumbled upon this little gem on our way to the Brea Improv. Kinda scared us that there was no wait on a Saturday night, but we decided to stay and check it out. Service was excellent and the food was great. Wish we lived closer to this location as we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here.

Great for lunch. Priced rigt and you get a glass of wine with your meal... I'd give it a four star, but any place that gives you free booze with your meal deserves an extra star. Food is actually really good. It's a nice little place in a shopping center.
(5)Courtney A.
I absolutely lovely this place. It's cozy with a great ambience. The servers are very friendly, quick, and competent. Almost immediately after you sit down, someone is bringing you a plate of celery and carrot slices with ranch dressing. The lasagna here is great, as are the pizzas and sausage. I recommend getting a combo if you're hungry, as they come with salad, a generous amount of some delicious garlic bread and a little bowl of ice cream, and you can try out two or three different foods at once. I believe they also come with a complimentary glass of wine, but I don't drink so I don't remember. If you join their email list, they send out some printable coupons on a fairly regular basis and they'll send you a special one for your birthday, as well.

This place was recommended to us by my sister's Italian friend. He was raving how the food is so good and cheap! So I decided to take my family out since it was my mom's birthday. We went on Friday at 7PM and just waited for less than 15 minutes. Food: Pesto 1, Marinara 4, Pink Sauce 4 The thing about this restaurant is that it's the little things that make it special. THE GOOD: The carrots in the beginning, the dinner combo served with a choice of ice cream for dessert (vanilla, chocolate, spumoni, cappuccino), and the complimentary 'house' wine. The Spinach ravioli with either 'Pink sauce' or marinara was quite good. The marinara tasted very fresh and homemade, and there was a zesty kick to it that I can't really pinpoint. THE BAD: However, I wasn't impressed with the pesto. It was too oily and bland. A good Italian place MUST have good pesto. So I was disappointed with my dish which was simply pesto fettuccine. Also the garlic bread was tasteless. Service: 3.5, our server was a pregnant women, she wasn't the friendliest server, but she was polite and timely. Atmosphere 3, it's small and quaint. Nothing spectacular. Price: 4; 4 people, $60 bill. Not bad for a three course meal :-) Overall 3-3.5. I wasn't impressed enough to come back. We'll see.

Great food, fair prices and a great atmosphere. I highly recommended this wonderful Italian restaurant.

People of color beware! You won't receive the same level of service as others. I visited this establishment for the 1st time. I was seated promptly and waited for a Server for at least 15 minutes. I was with my son who has special needs. We received water and a vegetable plate but the server ignored us. Then a Caucasian gentleman was seated. The server promptly appeared. Went straight to him and took his order. I heard him ask for a glass of wine, which was swiftly delivered. The server then ambled over to us and asked if we were ready to order. I asked him why we weren't served 1st. I made a scene. The mgr came and offer a tepid, half hearted apology. He said the other gentleman was a "regular". I made a bigger scene. The Caucasian gentleman intervened and poked me in the chest. I made a bigger scene and left. I wish I could offer a review of the food but I never had an opportunity taste it. DO NOT support this establishment if you expect great customer service or apparently you have to be Caucasian or a "regular" to receive the same level of service.

This is NOT a good Italian restaurant. The food is mediocre (i.e. the salad is cheap head lettuce and soggy from excessive dressing, the pasta is not flavorful and the "meat sauce" is made with meatballs-not ground meat-- with crusty exteriors, which end up in the sauce), the pizza is okay), the waiting staff is inexperienced, and the owner will ignore you on your way out (yes, not so much as a goodbye or thank you, so don't expect him to come around to your table to see how you're enjouying your meal!) Not only that, the prices keep going up. A spaghetti dinner is now $11.50. The owner must think he can keep raising the prices because there is often a wait, but I hope people wisen up about this place, as there is much better food, service, and lower prices out there!!

Though my husband doesn't maintain a Yelp profile, he does use Yelp to find special places like Lomeli's to take me out for din din like a good hubby should! We visited last Saturday night around 7:30pm and had to wait about 15 minutes, which is fine because it looked like everyone seated was thoroughly enjoying their meals. Once we got seated, we went with one of the dinner combos that Michael C. mentions below. I ordered the spaghetti marinara and it was delicious! The portions are huge like any good Italian restaurant should serve. The dish was so huge that I ate the rest of it for lunch and dinner the next day! The salad was fresh and crisp and came with a yummy ranch dressing. The garlic bread was also quite tasty - we ate that up really, really fast. And the red wine (I believe it was some sort of Merlot) was also well paired with the meal. What I especially like about this place is its atmosphere - there are beautiful murals adorning the restaurant's walls and vines wrapped around wooden trellises surrounding the booths. Very cute! Finally, the service was great - quick, efficient, friendly, and on top of things. The prices and the overall wonderful experience will bring us back soon!

This cozy little place in Fullerton is a great place for cheap and tasty Italian food. I love the pizza here and the antipasto. The cheese on the pizza is amazing! Everything is super cheap for both lunch and dinner. As Michael mentioned, the menu offers "complete dinners" which includes: soup or salad, garlic bread, entree, dessert, and a glass of wine for under $15! The minestrone is great and I always crave their Italian house dressing. Pretty much everything is delicious- the spaghetti, lasagna, ravioli . . . I'm sure you'll end up fully satisfied with whatever you order. Oh and leave room for the super yummy spumoni.
(5)Amy F.
Great Italian restaurant in Fullerton! This place is sure busy on a Friday night!!!! I went here to celebrate my graduation with my group of seven. I called an hour earlier to make a reservation for 5:45pm. We arrived late by thirty minutes (oops!) so our table was gone. There was quite a long wait esp. since my group was big. We waited for about 45 minutes until we were seated (yikes!)...but it was okay b/c I wanted to try this place out and heard so many good things about it. The restaurant isn't that big. It's a bit stuffy inside. Everyone was friendly. My friends and I ordered 5 complete dinners (yes, everything included below mentioned, including the delicious spumoni ice cream) and was full at the end. Everything tasted good. The salad, ministrone soup, garlic bread, ravioli, chicken, etc. I don't have anything negative to say about this place. The glass of wine that's included was a nice touch, too. My only suggestion would be to try to go here when it's not too busy...and I don't know when that would be!

This is my favorite local restaurant! Love the garlic bread, pasta, supmoni! Great price and good location.
(5)Staci A.
I love Lomeli's! We've been coming here for years. They are very friendly and the food is great Italian. I love the carrots for appetizers. The pasta melts in your mouth. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic (unless you bring the little ones, and they are very accommodating). They get busy around dinner on the weekend, but worth the wait! Although the place is small, they were able to fit a group of over 20 people for us when we had a wedding celebration. Call in advance for large groups and they can work with you to pre-order the food.
(5)Michael C.
Lomeli's is a small family owned local Italian spot. For $10-13 you can get a complete dinner combo that includes: soup salad garlic bread your entree ice cream and a glass of wine! You can't get all that food for that kind of price anywhere else. The place is small, and can be really busy, but the service is excellent and the food is pretty good. It's a nice place to get some homemade style Italian food for cheap.
(4)Lauren M.
this joint was oooooohhkay, i guess. the GARLIC BREAD is amazing and my meal came with a COMPLIMENTARY GLASS OF WINE!! (but the wine tasted complimentary!) My spinach cheese ravioli tasted like Chef Boyardee too. eh.
(3)Amy M.
I went here for dinner this past weekend and got more of an experience than I bargained for! First off, it was a Fri night so admittedly - it was busy.. BUT from the minute we were sat down at our booth after about a 15 min wait we were literally IGNORED. When the waitress finally came around after much talk about the poor service amongst my party of 4 (including me) she asked what we wanted. I said: "Can we please have some drinks?" We did however, ordered our food along with our drinks because at that rate, who knows if she would have come around again? Our drinks came about 6 min later followed by our food. I got a chicken salad and our party split a large pizza. After getting our food we were each searching arond for something- extra napkins, more water etc. NO WAITRESS! waited.. still nothing.... Soooo I got up, went to the busboy station and helped myself to everything we needed. I know this might seem rude, but it we had past the point of patience.... While I was doing this my friend said the manager saw me and went to talk to our waitress... Well good! BUT did things change? Nope. Finally my entire party went to the front of the restaurant to get our bill, pay and leave. No one ever brought us a check, no one ever checked on us again excpet to get our order and bring us our actual food... Overall one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in years... sad...

This is one of my favorite Italian Restaurants. The food is great and it has a nice Italian atmosphere. The pizza, ravioli and antipasto salad are my favorites. Its a good place for families or for a date. I have also ordered catering from them and everyone was delighted with the food. The catering was affordable and of great quality.
(4)RJ E.
Long time customer of Lomeli's. Their lunch specials are awsome, but I usually get their chicken parmigiana. Everyone is so friendly, especially Felix, he remembered my drink order after only my second visit.
(5)Jackie G.
I really liked this place. I had the sausage and peppers complete meal. It was really good. I also had a half off coupon which made it even better. I liked the ambiance, prices were reasonable and service was good. I'll definitely go back. Enjoy!
(4)Wayne N.
Always good consistently good food. Family run business with a quaint setting. Nice touch to serve the carrot sticks/celery with salad.
(4)Brian B.
We really enjoyed this restaurant, nice intimate setting with good Italian food, good serving size, great prices and pleasant service. It is easy to miss in the Stater Bros strip mall, but worth looking for.
(5)Mar E.
Classic family Sunday dinner spot. The pizza was thick on the cheese and greasy, the pasta was better and would recommend that instead of the pie. Sandwiches looked good, but didn't try one. Maybe next time.
(3)yo b.
Been going to Lomeli's on and off since the place opened. Last night was the first time we had the pepperoni pizza plus we ordered the sausage casserole to go. The sausage casserole was heavier than the pizza - it was awesome! We have tried a lot of pizza places in the Fullerton/Brea area and I've got to say I think it's about as good as a pizza from Cortina's. Nice medium crust. The owners make eye contact, are glad to greet you and make you feel like your old friends. As a bonus we used a 15% off coupon on the pizza. Price wise they are very competitive with the better pizza places.
(4)Jonathan Y.
I ate here with my parents once and the pasta was decent. The food wasn't the most flavorful or memorable, but wasn't terrible. We did not order the pizza, so I can't comment, however the service and ambience was great. This is a nice place for a date and I would come back to try other items.
(3)O C.
Hi! Ok i will get right to it! I took my Sister and my niece here for dinner and it was just awful. I have eaten here once b4 but wanted to chk out there new location and see if there were any changes to the menu or food quality changes...sadly there was not! My niece and I both ordered the Chx Marsala "Dinner" Which includes soup/salad, garlic bread, a shot of wine, your entree and scoop of spamone ice cream. In short, the service was too slow, the garlic bread was burnt, the salad was actually delicious and now to the chicken Marsala....it sucked! The dish had no flavor whatsoever! The portion size of the chicken was terrible, there wasn't enough mushrooms and I didn't taste any butter or anything! The dish shouldn't even be on the menu of any Italian restaurant unless REAL Marsala wine is used and REAL butter and don't be afraid of a little salt! sheeesh! Sorry Lomeli's.....this place may get packed on weekends but i don't know y?? I' ve tasted more flavor in a frozen meal....
(2)Sarah B.
I've been going to Lomeli's for years. I love the atmosphere of the whole restaurant. The walls are painted like a scenic view of Italy. When you first get seated at the table, they bring you carrots with ranch dressing. I was surprised at first, but it's a great touch that's different from other Italian restaurants I've been to. The staff is always kind and provides good service. Every time I go here, I order the pizza. This place has the best pizza I've ever tasted! I definitely recommend it to any fellow pizza lovers. Oh, and I can never leave without having a dish of their cappuccino ice cream. It's dark in color, and has (chocolate covered?) coffee beans in it. Mmmmmmm! So good! All of it!
(5)rene s.
Food was pretty good, with good prices. the atmosphere, is traditional Italian, but not fancy. The hostess was cute, so that was nice. The service was a bit slow when it came to refills and checking if you needed anything else even tho the place was pretty empty. Over all a solid B grade
(4)Richard L.
A small family restaurant with friendly atmosphere; it is laid out with booths the circle the room and a few larger group tables that go down the center. Both my wife and I saw dishes on the menu that we wanted to try and when we spotted the combos down the center of the menu our choices became clear. I went with the lasagna, ravioli and sausage; my wife had fettuchini alfredo and lasagna. As a complete dinner you get soup or salad, garlic bread, ice cream and a glass of wine with the main dish; that's a great deal for about 10-15 bucks a plate. a standout for this restaurant was the plate of carrot sticks and peppers; this was a first for me and I enjoyed chomping on the carrots while waiting for the soup. We both liked our dinners and want to go to this restaurant again. The staff was friendly, we were attended well without the feeling of being hovered.

he pizza is made fresh, cooked to perfection and tastes amazing.

Wow! The kids & my hearts were broken 2 1/2 weeks ago when we went grocery shopping and discovered our favorite comfort-sytle Italian restaurant was closed and gone! Imagine our surprise when we discovered that they hadn't closed at all...only moved down the street. We went the same day that we saw the new site. Hopefully, once they are more settled into their new location the service will improve. Lomeli's isn't for those looking for a 'gourmet' experience. This is plain old Italian-American comfort food. Nothing fancy. It is the place to go to crawl into a bowl of baked pasta and forget about the lousy day you've had moving(like we did that night)The decor is the same as always, and the seating does need a little tweaking. I'm sure that will improve as they find the best configuration for them. Hopefully they'll be able to server alcohol soon too, since the 'free' glass of wine is included in the price of the full dinner ;D and i like to get what I pay for.
(5)S. Marc T.
Great place for an informal lunch, although service can be slow if you show up after noon. The pizzas are great and we order them from here for the office. The pasta dishes are average, nothing to write home about, nothing to turn your nose up to. Take a pizza to go and you cant miss.

Went to visit our friends in Fullerton, the guys were playing PS3 and didnt wanna leave the house for lunch. we ended up order take out. we had the meatball sandwich, torpedo sandwich (cotto salami, provolone, pepperoncini), one cheese pizza, one vegetarian pizza, ravioli with meat sauce, and minestrone. WOW, it was spectacular! I can almost see an Italian grandma in the kitchen cooking her best dishes for a family gathering. Nothing fancy but great food.
(5)Helen W.
Our family has been coming to Lomeli's for years now! My kids love it! We always share combo #2 It comes with Lasagna, Ravioli and Spaghetti w/ meatballs. You also receive a complimentary glass of wine, salad or soup, garlic bread and ice cream dessert. Very flavorful. The ambience is lovely! They have booths and beautiful mural paintings. The owner and servers are always friendly! The pizza is also very delicious
(5)Namtran N.
I ate here during Lent, so no meat for me on that day, which really sucked because I was dying for some lasagna. The scallops and pasta was a bit on the oily side, but it wasn't bad. Everyone else with me thoroughly enjoyed their meals. And I have to say that anywhere that does a three-course meal for $25 or less is good in my book.
(4)Ken P.
Ya know - I like Lomeli's. I've only had lunches there, so I can't review dinner. Usually I order the lunch special of the day, which is often a basic Italian sandwich, spaghetti or simple pasta dish. Those are all very good. The torpedo sandwich is perfect for that kind of lunch when you are hungry but don't want a gut-buster. The salad is simple and uninteresting, but it tastes like an Italian restaurant salad would be expected to taste. My one big complaint is the time my friends and I ordered pizza... it seriously took an hour. The pizza? It was good, not great, and certainly not worth an hour wait. That said, two people can have a very satisfying lunch and be out the door for 20 bucks.
(4)Sunny A.
Worst Italian food ever! It's worse then cafeteria food. Yes, they give you complimentary wine and dessert, but the food here is absolutely horrible! Blah! I can't believe people actually like this place. I thought this place was the most horrible italian restaurant I've been to. I was craving italian and was visiting a friend in fullerton and they suggested this place since it had great reviews on yelp. So, we checked it out and I was surprised by their menu. It was really cheap and had great combos. I ordered the lasagna, ravioli, and the spaghetti with meatballs. Seriously, my elementary school made better spaghetti and so does hometown buffet. Stouffers makes better lasagna and their ravioli was disgusting. I love meatballs! All kinds of meatballs, but theirs tasted like... ??? I've had vegetarian meatballs that were much better then theirs. The sauce was way too sweet and not authentic at all. I was very disappointed.
(1)Marie J.
We went here tonight are first time trying it. First off when we arrived it was not busy at all, they said two min. it took about 10-15 min.We were about to leave. The workers where talking about money and taking orders on the phone.I MEAN SERIOUSLY SEAT THE COSTUMERS THAT ARE THERE FIRST!Then when we sit down they they bring carrots of all things carrots at a Italian restaurant SERIOUSLY. Then I order my beverage (I got water) it tasted like tap water. We order are food (I got lasagna with ravioli) The noodles are hard and disgusting, but not only that the center of the lasagna is freezing COLD! Then it had spaghetti on the plate even though I did not order that. The noodles are hard and under the sauce I find a giant Italian sausage I did not order nor stated on the menu. Later I got the ice cream and was OK it was a big scoop. Overall it was a horrible experience and not planning on being back.

Really like the food. Family owned and very yummy :)
(5)Jairo B.
Price is good, good service, good proportions. I like their garlic bread very fresh. But what i really enjoyed about this place is the complimentary glass of wine that comes with your meal, you dont see that often in many restaurants. The place is located inside a plaza I would never thought that i would find such a cozy little Italian place inside. It's cool
(4)Mel C.
My family loves the food....but the service sucks EVERY time we go even when we go during non-peak hours. If you don't mind feeling invisible while eating decent Italian food, then this is the place for you.
(2)Katie S.
Lomelie's is a nice little mom & pop style Italian restaurant off of Brea Blvd. and Bastanchury in Fullerton. I've been there on many occasions and I all i can say is get the cheese stuffed shells but order them with alfredo instead of meat sauce. It is the most decedent coranary waiting to happen and it always leaves me so happy : ) wash it down with a glass of wine to help cut all of the fatty flavors and you can't go wrong. The only reason i can't give this place 5 stars in good faith is because I can't seem to be able to ever order anything but the shells so i have no idea if any of the other food is good. By the other reviews it looks like it is but i'll stick to my shells : )
(4)Jennifer C.
Large Portions. Cheesy. Greasy. Poor Quality ingredients. Below average service. Not much else to say.
(2)Prudence M.
this place is really good and really affordable. i got the angel hair pasta with pink sauce and my boy friend got garlic and basel pizza. everything was really good. we got a full meal, drinks, and dessert for two... the bill came out and it was like 35.00 dollars! sooo good.
(4)Bridget V.
Aw Lomeli's, you let me down today. I sat through an hour long graduation...after waiting for almost 3 hours...for good Italian food. Boy was I wrong. The menu had the same things on it as every other Italian restaurant. There were 7 of us, and they seated us promptly, it helps to have reservations. Everyone kinda got the same thing, spinach ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccine alfredo, lasagna, garlic bread, wine, salad, and spumoni. The ravioli was frozen, yuck. The sauces weren't great and didn't have any herbs, I had to use a lot of salt, pepper, cheese, and chili flakes to give it some spice. I will say that the garlic bread was really nice. The wine was good too, but not great to drink on a hot day. I also liked the spumoni, cuz it was served in one of those little silver cups, reminded me of being a kid again. So overall, I will not go back here. On the other hand, the food is realllllllllllllly cheap, and the dinner specials include wine, salad or soup, garlic bread, and ice cream.
(2)Drew A.
The food was truly great, but the service was as bad as the food was good. We all only had a single drink refill, and everyone's drink glass was empty for the last half of the meal. We had to wait over 10 minutes for the check. When it arrived, it was wrong. We had asked for folks to be on separate checks. So more waiting... Then it took what seemed to be an eternity to get my card processed. I won't be back.
(2)Jen N.
it's a cute lil' place in fullerton, almost a hole in the wall. very cozy and intimate if you're looking for that sort of thing. *ahem*date*. if you're craving italian, but cant decide on what and want variety come here. they offer combo plate dinners that won't cost you an arm and a leg. their portions are pretty big too..i've never seen a person finish their plate. i haven't tried their pizza so i wouldn't know... but for pastas, try the pasta combos so you get a bit of everything.
(4)
