Just spent the weekend here and want to pass on my thoughts. The room (blacksmith room) was large with a giant bathroom since it is handicapped accessible. Furnishings were sparse but functional. The only problem is that any movement or running water (showers and toilets) in the rooms above on the second floor sounded as if they were in the same room, very loud and disruptive to any relaxation. The highlight of our stay was the wonderful service and personal attention with a smile given by Alyssa, and one of the best dinners I have ever had at a restaurant, anywhere. The food was very well prepared with complex flavors and textures that made my taste buds do cartwheels. It was so good that I will never go Big Bear again with out eating at the Mansion at least once.

Great little place. Some rooms might be a bit noisy depending on who's your neighbor that night, but I always travel with earplugs. We go during the week and have the place to ourselves. Their meals can be very good as well.

We didn't stay here but we did have dinner on Saturday night at the Bistro at the Mansion. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was cozy. If you're looking for a great meal up in Big Bear you should make a point to check this place out. Friday nights are for comfort food which sounded kinda good, too. We looked at one of the rooms and it seemed nice as well, so it's certainly worth considering an overnight stay here!
