Menchie's Frozen Yogurt in Belmont. Used to go to Burlingame for froyo until I discovered Menchie's which is much closer to where I live. Menchie is in a nice shopping plaza on El Camino, so it's close to freeway (101), and parking was never a problem. Food: 5/5 Menchie's has great selection of flavor, I agree with one of the Yelper said that their flavor tend to be on the creamy side, not really a problem for me though. Beside that, I love their selection on the topping, a lot of choices! Price/Value: 5/5 I honestly never really pay attention and compare prices between froyo places, so I can't review on that. However, their Friday $5 special and their reward program added value for sure. Services: 5/5 Very nice staff, and I love how they put out the tasting cups out so you don't have to keep going back to the staff asking for more! Facility: 5/5 Very nice and clean area, love the outdoor seating area.

I just love this place. Whenever I feel like flaring up the old pancreas, my wife and I swing by Menchie's and go to town. Some of their flavors are a bit strange and unappetizing, but when you find that one special flavor that grabs you by the balls... you will be back for more. For me that flavor was the roasted marshmallow, covered a random assortment of chocolate based candies, topped off with a centimeter thick layer of shell topping. Outside of marshmallow, they have a ton of other flavors that rotate. One nice thing about Menchie's is, if you are on a diet, you can get something here that won't be too horrible for the calorie counter. A fat free, no sugar added froyo with some fruit on it is possible here, but it will take restraint. The people working the counter are always friendly, and the prices are good.

It was my first time in a frozen yogurt. I loved it! This place is clean, there is a lot of flavors, toppings... I love the decorations on the walls and how colorful the store is. Perfect for the kids and families... Thank you to the waitress who helped us figure out how Menchie's works. Thanks for her patience. We will definitely come back!

I Hate to give this low rating, but in a review, everything counts and I have to deduct for the lack of cleanliness during my visit tonight. We all taste with our sight and smell first. Well this sight was not that appetizing. Sadly when I pointed out the situation to the two staff all I got was a dirty look, not even a response . it was not busy so no excuses. Decided to take ours to go. Just not a nice atmosphere for dining in, even if it is only yogurt. (sorry the pictures don't show how bad it actually looked) The frozen yogurt was actually great. They have fantastic flavors.

My wife and I like coming here for $5 Fridays. Came here today. And the guy at the register said $16 and some change for 2 cups. I said what happened to $5 Fridays. He informed us that $5 Fridays is only from 9 to close on Friday now. That's nice to find out after I have filled my cup! For $16 I'll go to Safeway and buy a gallon of ice cream and a jar of hot fudge for half the price. Without the $5 Friday price this place is not worth going to. Save your money and go to Safeway!

Yay for self serve places. Flavor selection was not my thing though :( Too creamy for me (cupcake, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, pineapple, original tart, etc.) Tip: $5 Fridays: all you can get in 1 cup for a flat price of $5? Sweet!

Great selection and variety of flavors every time we visit. The toppings are fresh. The staff is friendly and very attentive to any slight spill or mishap. They allow you enough samples to try all their flavors. Love this place!!

Love Menchies! The staff is so friendly, the place is nice and clean. They have new flavors all the time and a great selection of toppings. Oh and they have a rewards program. Fridays is $5 for a cup doesn't matter the weight!! Go Menchies!

I have been visiting this Menchies since their opening now and felt it was about time they got an extra star too. The staff here are so nice and got to the point that they recognized me every time I came in. Sadly, I moved away from the area so am unable to visit this location as much as I used too but the owners still know who I am (Lol at them knowing exactly who I am from a comment I posted on their Facebook page). I used to be a die hard Yogurtland fanatic but it was this location that converted me to Menchies. I find the flavors are generally better and the texture is a lot more consistent. Well done Menchies Belmont! Oh.. Special thank you to the owner Jimmy who recently contacted me on Facebook after finding the ID I lost on my last visit a few weeks ago.Huge relief! ** BIRTHDAY TIP ** While you're there be sure to also pick up a ''My Smileage'' card. Where for each $1 you spend you get 1 smile and 50 smiles = $5 of free Yogurt. You get 25 bonus smiles just for registering so you're already half way there! You also get $5 added to your card for your Birthday.

I was very excited to try this place after several friends raved about it. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The favors were too off the wall for my taste and everything was overly sweet. Prices were steep and I ended up spending $10 for two cups of yogurt that my daughter and I didn't even want to finish. You know it's sweet when your kid tells you she can't eat it because it's too sweet!

Amazing froyo! I loved the iced coffee flavor. But this time I stuck with the tart, pineapple, and berry flavors. I added a bunch of kiwis, strawberries, and blueberries on top of the mochi. It was only $2.37! What a steal! The service was friendly and I signed up for a Smileage account. Haha how cute!

Great place to get frozen yogurt with plenty of topping options! We love Menchie's! They keep it really clean, great for families and couples. They offer a wide variety of yogurts and toppings. Prices are reasonable and they offer a rewards program for folks who make this spot a regular. Gets busy during the hot summer days, but plenty of seating outdoors.

Nice little froyo place for the kids and adults! They have the cutest merchandise and items for kids, plus the kids get a free balloon on every visit. The employees are also really nice and helpful. New ownership now and you can see the difference.

LOVE! I just moved to San Mateo and was so sad to leave Yogurtland behind. But Menchies is even better! So many good flavors and toppings (which are so clean and organized). Also they have the shell chocolate syrup, Reese's syrup, and whipped cream. YES.

If I had one word to describe this place, it would be fruity - it's super cutesy, colorful and fun. It's like you fell into a rainbow... that sells frozen yogurt. I'm sure they rotate their flavors, but the time I went, they had a lot of fruity and tropical flavors, and any froyo shop that has dole pineapple as one of their flavors always wins a spot in my stomach. There's was only one person working that day and although he managed, the snack/candy bars could have used some filling up. My yogurt was good and I got my usual topping of mochi. The also have $5 Fridays where you can fill up a whole cup for just $5. Pretty sure I will be back for that one day.

Menchie's is my roommate's favorite frozen yogurt place. It is not mine. This doesn't come even close to Pinkberry, so if that's what you're craving, go there instead. There's one in the Stanford Shopping Center. Otherwise, this is your run of the mill froyo. If you're lactose intolerant (like myself) but convince yourself this place is better for your stomach than ice cream...good luck with that later. Unfortunately I can't really delude myself so let's just say it's more ice cream like than Pinkberry, and leave it at that, with me in the corner downing lactaid like it's my job.

I wish this place opens earlier (they open at 11am). They offer a vast selection of frozen yogurt and quite a few out-of-the-ordinary flavors. The place is impeccably clean and organized. The owner is like sunshine. And their spoons are over-the-top cute!

Always a great selection of yogurts and fresh toppings. Plenty of space to grab a table inside or on a nice day outside. Very friendly atmosphere. Very kid friendly. And customer service is always good. We especially make a trip from Foster City to come here.

You may call me crazy, but I have not been caught up in the froyo craze in the past several years it's been around. Until now! Upon entering you are welcomed by a bright colorful room with a green-pink theme and cute decorations. ( yelp.com/biz_photos/menc… ) Staff is very friendly and approachable. The store is open until 11 PM -- this must be due to its LA roots, because nothing in the Peninsula is usually open that late. Cute decor: yelp.com/biz_photos/menc… yelp.com/biz_photos/menc… The main reason I'm a fan? Unlimited samples, baby! But for those who may think that is not a valid reason to be a froyo fan, every flavor I sampled was great! You know that gross old yogurty taste you sometimes come across? None of the flavors I sampled (7 out of 14, or 50%) had that. My favorite flavor was the **Cherry Tart**, so I ended up getting a small portion of that. I was stuffed after dinner and those 7 samples, but I still heaped some maraschino cherries and strawberries on top. The froyo itself was sweet and smooth with just a hint of tartness. ( yelp.com/biz_photos/menc… ) As if this place couldn't get any cuter, they give out sticker prizes with each purchase. ( yelp.com/biz_photos/menc… ) Menchie's really makes you relive the feeling of being a blissful and happy kid. I'll be back! TIP: Did I mention the unlimited samples?!

Menchie's is the lastest froyo tenant here. the entire stretch of shops here mostly foodcentric, parking is difficult even in the afternoon. froyo availablity: -pineapple -honeydew sorbet -"pom" sorbet -mudpie -devil's food cake -tart -banana -chocolate -vanilla snow -irish mint -dulce de leche -butterscotch -"cinna non bun:: not too favorful. pricing: .43@ounce froyo & toppings, 12 wet toppings, 32ish dry toppings of nuts, candies et al. in bins. frodrips: -taylor froyo machies, Apo customized cups. -interesting flavors, froyo is frutose free -lots of good stuff in the ingredients but not loving it.. something is missing. -wacky wabbit wating: 3 stars: "menchie's is for kids". -friendly service, free samples

Normally I love this place but I am a bit frustrated with the inconsistencies I am noticing regarding hours. The corporate website states that this location is open until 10pm on Sundays, the store door says 9pm, and at 9:42pm this evening, the store appeared to be open with lights on and doors unlocked, yet the young male associate stated they were closed. Very frustrating and disappointing :(

This place rocks great flavors tons of toppings. Best place in the area. The only thing I would say is to get a bell on the door do the employees know people are in the store.

About average for froyo. Lots of mediocre flavors but the dulce de leche was a winner. Wouldn't be my go-to yogurt place, but probably better than most in this area. Plenty of toppings to choose from. They seem to have an issue keeping paper goods stocked, TP and napkins were in short supply. Plenty of parking. Yes, dulce de leche is pretty damn good...

Menchie's is like a small piece of Heaven. Seriously. I am not a big fan of yogurt because yogurt places usually are expensive and I would only leave with half a cup of yogurt with limited toppings that would have costed me about $4-5. Yeah, I'm talking to you Mall yogurt places.. And also, my boyfriend isn't a real yogurt person either. Every time I get mango yogurt from Orange Tree at Tanforan, he'll eat one bite and stop altogether. At Menchie's? He got a small sample of the mango & honeydew and immediately went back to fill our cup to the top with it! Lol. Menchie's has definitely won my boyfriend and I over. Yesterday was their grand opening and although I missed their free yogurt, I was still able to sample a piece of their waffle cone as well as any yogurt flavor of my choosing. And let's just say, the staff is EXTREMELY friendly and inviting! As soon as my boyfriend and I went in, we were immediately greeted and offered free samples. One of the workers even took their time to explain how everything works here! And bonus: they offer sauce toppings for your yogurt like caramel or marshmallow! Another thing I like about this place is the fact that each machine comes with 2 different flavors and in between those 2 flavors is a switch that allows you to get a swirl of the 2 flavors present. Mhmmm. You guys need to try the mango and honeydew mixture! It is simply AH-MAY-ZING. And my oh my do they have a ton of toppings you can choose from! Ranging from an assortment of nuts to candy pieces to fruits and my absolutely favorite, mochi of course. ;) Overall I believe they deserve the 5 stars I give them. They're friendly and welcoming and they smile at you, too! Lots of yogurt options to choose from (without getting overwhelmed!) and a lot of toppings so you know there will be something to your liking here! I can't wait to get my boyfriend to take me back here again soon! ^^ Oh, and you should get a Smileage card which is their own version of a rewards card. Register it and you will have 25 points starting plus 10 if you go back with the next week and purchase something! Look at their website for more info if needed.

Oh my goodness, Menchie's is awesome! There are many flavors to choose from, a good selection of toppings, and even Peanut Butter syrup! They also have little cups out so you can sample flavors before making that ever-so-important decision about what flavors you'll be getting. My favorite flavor from my first visit was the Spicy Pumpkin, which tasted just like pumpkin pie! Can't lie -- I'll DEFINITELY be coming back here.

I really really like Menchie's. The prices are reasonable and they have a good number of rotating flavors all the time. Most of the flavors are the sweet, creamy kinds, but they do always have the original tart if that tickles your fancy. They also have dozens of toppings (fruits, nuts, candies, sauces) which I love! Really great so you can maximize the kinds of combos you wish to create. This place hits the spot all the time and I never leave spending more than $4 each time. What a steal!

3.5 stars. I'd never heard of Menchie's until this location popped up in the New Businesses section of the Yelp home page. Admittedly, it looks a LOT like Yogurtland, except it has its own little mascots. Lots to like about Menchie's: it's friendly. It's clean. You have lots of choices. The yogurt is good. And! They list the allergens in each one. Hooray! On this first visit, I tried the peach (yum!), devil's food cake (good), strawberry (good), cake batter mix (nice and creamy), and Purely Tart (see below). I do wish they listed the weekly flavors someplace, like a Facebook page (if they have one -- I'd like to know!). Some of the flavors in the rotation sound REALLY good (Black Cherry Greek Yogurt? YUM - Sign me up!). [Oh, and interestingly? A number of the flavors sound simiilar to what Snowee in San Mateo offers. If the Peach White Tea Eurotart is anything like Snowee's -- it's a must have.] I love the topping bar area. They have a lot of great options! So much so, that I actually got toppings. Turns out, I would've enjoyed the yogurt without them -- so, empty calories. Oh well. A special note about Menchie's Purely Tart: It's soooooooooper tart and is on the lighter (as opposed to creamier) side. It was OK -- not bad, but not my favorite style. Pro Tip: It did not go well with my candy or Oreos -- but it tasted nice with the fruit. On the whole, I really do like it here! Friendly peeps, good yogurt, large space. Given that it's right next to Toto's, it would make for a nice little night out for your family.

Menchie's is pretty much like any other froyo place, with one exception...they have the Dole Soft Serve pineapple flavor. If you have been to Disneyland, walked past that long line near the entrance of Adventureland next to the Indiana Jones ride, did a double take and wondered why there was this random long line in the park, gotten in line to see what all the fuss was about, ordered a Dole Soft Serve piled high in a cup, and eaten it in rapture, then you'll know what I'm talking about. There are a good variety of flavors and they have a rewards card. I don't remember how many cents it is per ounce, but I don't think it's ridiculously pricey, maybe 28 to 30 cents. It's located in a very convenient shopping center in Belmont. I haven't really tried their other flavors, so this review is for the Dole Soft Serve. It blows my mind! And I hope it blows yours too!

I came here last Sunday night (August 24) with my mother. The place was clean and well maintained, and I appreciated that we were allowed samples. My mom was even allowed to sample the hot fudge, and as I know that's unorthodox, I appreciated that as well. Everything went well until it came time to pay. We had our yogurts weighed, and the totals rung up. When my mom went to pick up her yogurt cup, she accidentally dropped it on the floor, as she has a tremor. We offered to clean up the spill, and the cashier (didn't see a nametag, but she had blonde hair and blue eyes) assured us she would do it for us, which we were grateful for. After that, the cashier rung us up again, this time with my normal yogurt and again my mom's yogurt, the one that had fallen on the floor. At no point did the cashier suggest my mom throw away the yogurt she had and remake a new one, despite that her cup and the contents had very clearly touched the ground. My mom was so embarrassed by dropping it to begin with (and didn't want to explain why) that she didn't ask to remake hers. While the store itself is nice and I enjoy the yogurt, the fact that the cashier didn't offer the option to my mother to remake her yogurt cup after it had been on the floor stops me from wanting to return here, or recommending the place to my friends.

Craving pineapple Dole Whip? They have it at Menchie's! Well, at least they have the pineapple frozen yogurt. I came here on a whim on a week night and found Menchie's to be super duper cute. If I had a child, I would definitely take them here since Menchie's seems to be very family oriented - very bright and fun! They had a ton of unique flavors to choose from and the yogurt itself wasn't icy, but rather creamier in texture with enough flavor to keep you guessing which one which. My main complaint was the fruit! Canned pineapple?! That's where they lost me. The prices are very good (half a cup for $3.33) and the employees are very friendly. I would come back!

I absolutely adore this place. The decor is charming, the frozen yogurt is beyond compare, but what makes this place is the abundance of toppings you can use. A great place!

Most friendly yogurt place on the peninsula and a good selection of yogurts. Wish they had carob chips.

This place can get cray cray on the weekends with families and kids, but overall, it's such a great place if you want to get your froyo fix. Plus, unlike some other froyo places, you can sample as much yogurt as you want, which can be a good OR bad thing depending on how many people and kiddos are there. They also have tons of fixins - mostly candy and nuts. The fruit selection is kind of small, actually, which is a bummer, but they make up for it with a wide variety of froyo flavors. Also look on their door - sometimes they have specials like one weight wednesday (did I say that right?) where it's only a set price.

Best froyo place around us! Lots of sweet and tart flavors, friendly service, great quality (they take pride in their yogurt ingredients), and very fresh (since they have good business) Much better than yoppi or yummi yogurt

.44c per ounce of FROYO. The minus 1 star is because 2 of the flavors I wanted to try were not pouring into my empty cup. However they did make up for this by serving the popular Disneyland & Hawaiian Dole Pineapple froyo!!!!!! This is a hot commodity as a tourist and now I can just walk over and eat this whenever I want. How cool! Second like is for the syrup section. I enjoyed squirting hot fudge and marshmallow sauce onto my froyo. There is a fridge that holds prepacked froyo that you can purchase for something like $5+. Great little place and love that it is walking distance from my apartment door.

Great yogurt, superior selection of flavors (cherry tart, wow!), topping selection average and displayed nicely. If you give them your number you get their rewards which is a free yogurt after $50 (from what I could tell), definitely seen better.

Okay I had only given this place a four star rating before but now I give them a five. For awhile now most of the time when I walk in the girls are less than happy to be there. Most of the time I just feel like they hate their lives for working there. But tonight I was helped by Vanessa who was super sweet. She had such a positive and bright smile. It made my experience that much better. Thank you Vanessa. :)

Do you ever have one of those days where all the bosses are out and you get a long lunch but by the time you're done eating, it's only been 30 minutes and you're not ready to go back? Enter this magnificently, magical yogurt shop. Filled with enough whimsy to make you forget all about your work day. After driving around a bit trying to find somewhere to go, I passed by Menchie's and remembered that I had bookmarked them when they were featured under the New Business section. I didn't realize they were so close and the bright colors drew me in like a moth to a fly. I mean flame. As soon as I stepped in, I knew this would be a place where I could just hang for a bit while I got my full hours worth. Everything is a colorful and cheery that you can't help but want to look at everything and just marvel in it's cuteness. Before you even get your yogurt, this place is generous enough to let you try as many flavors as you want without pulling a Larry David. They also have THE cutest cups that I just hate throwing away. I am going to write a book called, "101 Things You Can Do With Your Menchie's Cup." While I don't want to be a fatty about it, I decided to try 2 flavors: Cafe Latte and Peanut Butter. I wasn't particularly impressed with their flavors, because my favorites are grasshoppper mint and chocolate brownie but I am assured that they have new flavors every week so I wasn't too disappointed. Both flavors were very bold and not watery. if it was supposed to taste like peanut butter, it did. Their toppings are very abundant and are constantly replenished. They had offerings like oreo (MY FAVE), WHOLE circus animal cookies, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Nerds, fruits, and 5 different kinds of syrups. Like I said, I got two different cups and it was only $4.38. Very reasonably priced. To top off your yogurt experience, they give you the COOLEST spoons which you can pick from that can be re-used. They are really sturdy. Not the cheapie kind either. I'm keeping mine! If you are in a hurry, you can either get a cute little carrier to go, or just get pre-packed yogurts in your favorite flavors. These guys are GENIUS! You know what makes Disney so special? Their attention to detail and Menchie's is right there with them! They have thought of everything down to the spoons. I really love this place. Dare I say, as much as Yumi Yogurt? What sets this place apart is that you can get your own toppings. You can get as much as you want, of course you pay for it but everything is YOUR choice. Everyone was SO nice and patient. I gave a suggestion to the manager and he was MORE than happy to hear it and even wrote it down. They are just sweet (in every way) and I see them going a long way. They are already doing everything right as it is. This isn't just a yogurt shop, this is a company. With the potential to be very prosperous and maybe go public. Who knows but I am here to stay because this is my new hiding place. My very own wonderland where nothing exists but me, Menchie and a few Oreos.

We all know these self serve frozen Yogurt places.... Here is what makes this one above average: -Staff- I have been here several times... each time it seems I deal with a different staff member and all are notably friendly..... Unusually friendly.... Not creepy or anything... it's just a breath of fresh air. -Selection- They have several different kinds of yogurt to choose from and seem to mix it up every week or so? -Their frequent buyer program doesn't require the annoying "stamp card" like most others... simply give them your cell phone number and they add your purchases to your account. Anyhow, the only reason I give them 4 stars is they are not cheap... Considerably more expensive than Yougrtland in Burlingame.

Lots and lots and lots of options. This is the strong point. The spoons are very high quality. Nice promotions going on - this month for March madness I think everyone gets a free waffle cone, for instance... nice touch to get everyone to try something new. The service was also quite good. You could tell that the franchise business itself invests a lot into not only the physical space and quality of merchandising available, but also training. Great job.

Menchie's is great. Friendly and, often times, hilarious customer service. You can taste as many of their flavors as you want. They are all good. I still can't believe how much like real cake batter one their cake batter tastes! They have seasonal flavors like pumpkin which are super yummy! It's done by weight and you can help yourself to toppings as well. Lots of seating inside and out. Did I mention they have a frequent buyers card? Oh yeah! for every $50 you spend, you get $5 and they give you $25 just for signing up. Good fro yo. Great customer service. Highly recommend!

I haven't had tart flavor froyo in a long time, so it was nice to have some here. It's not the best yogurt, but it's there... When I was paying I noticed a sign that said $5 for all you can fit in your cup. I kinda hate buffets, but a part of me wants to go just for the sake of filling a TON in a cup.

This froyo place was pretty cute and yummy! Although they did not have a huge variety of flavors to choose from, the amount of toppings made up for it. They run a special on Friday where you can fill up your bowl as much as you want and only pay $5. I thought that was pretty cool, especially if you're really in the mood for lots of froyo and extra toppings! Overall, this place wasn't all that bad. I wish they had more of these closer to me, but if i'm ever in the area and am in the mood for frozen yogurt, this is where I will be going. Oh and make sure you get some stickers for your spoons!!

Love this place! Won't go to any other froyo shop! Got to try the creamy peanut butter with their warm hot fudge and brownies, YUM!

meh- its just okay. The other fro yo places in the area are frankly better tasting. To be totally honest, I was so ready for a Golden Spoon to go into this spot. Somehow it never happened. Bummer. Now that is awesome fro yo. (Keep your eyes open for one of those.) I will give points for the nice patio with the heat lamps. But in the end, its the fro yo that you're coming for right?

I love this place. There's not a super large variety but their flavors always are changing and there's tons of toppings. Everything is fresh, clean and very organized. Staff is always very inviting, no matter what time of day it is. It's everything a dessert place should be, full of happy people! Thank you! I used to be walking distance from this cute little place, it's too bad I couldn't take them with me to Pacifica.

Walked in felt very welcomed by friendly staff. First time here so they gave me a breakdown of the pricing, flavors, and toppings I could add to my froyo. Very clean compared to other froyo places! With there were more fruit toppings but they had bursting blueberry bobba which I love. GradeA. Will visit again when I am in the area.

Dole Whip! I'm not a fan of frozen yogurt, but I sure do like pineapple frozen yogurt. It's pretty close to the Dole Whip you get in Hawaii, so it's worth the trip if you can't make it to the islands.

When I wallow in sadness, depression, "I hate my life," "why does the world hate me," "what the hell am I doing" ...type feeling... Whether its because it's it's the day before your thirty-(ahem!) birthday or just generally feel like your soul is being sucked into a vacuum... Menchie's is there for me to get a quick frozen treat without the guilt of that other higher caloric content frozen treat. I can mix and match the flavors then put in some nuts and fruity pebbles, then swirl it all together... I look down at the jumbled mess and realize how much it resembles my life. I then, eat it. I don't know if it makes me feel better but at least I'm being proactive.

Who needs to go to Hawaii when you can get Dole Whip (pineapple) here! When I am eating it, I can close my eyes, ignore all of the small children in the store and pretend that I'm in Hawaii enjoying warm weather and the beach.

This place is next door to Toto's Pizzeria! My two favorite places to go during my lunch hour. :)) After I hit Toto's, I swing by Menchie's Frozen Yogurt. I enjoy their taro yogurt w/o toppings..just pair it w/ a waffle cone & I'm a happy customer. ;). Be careful w/ the toppings, as this will cost you. They weigh your yogurt & toppings. You can taste all the flavors which is fun, & hardest part is deciding which flavor to choose from. Luckily you can always select multiple flavors. And their spoons are cute! ;)

ugh I love toppings, it's why I buy frozen yogurt at all to be completely honest with you. menchies is the only one in town that has brownie bites AND cookie dough AND pound cake AND mochi oh my god it's heaven.

From El Camino, this place looks like it's closed. Only when you walk around to the parking lot do you see it lit up. Came here after the Belmont Off The Grid event. Got a swirl of tart and cherry with some mochi and almonds. Good stuff. They let you sample pretty much whatever you want and are super nice folks.

A great alternative to the typical Froyo chains popping up all over the place. I've had my first experience with this franchise during my trip to Hawaii. I'm glad they've finally made it here to Nor Cal. This is great spot if you're craving froyo. Some of the flavors are unique depending what you're pallet craves. I personally like the Taro flavor and pineapple flavors. Tons of fix ins that you can load up with. Location is clean and welcoming environment. One thing I really like about this location is that you can sit outside even on a cold night. The patio has overhead heat lamps. Huge plus if you want to lounge / chill with your company.

This bright and clean self-service yogurt shop is in the strip mall one parking lot south of the Safeway. They've got about a dozen flavors, many sweet, and the usual toppings including fresh fruit. This location also has a large selection of warmed syrup toppings, including things like peanut butter alongside the more traditional hot fudge. Sample cups are readily available. We found the flavors disappointingly mild in most cases. Where they were not mild, they were often off-puttingly artificial. The tart cherry tasted not much different from the tart peach. Pistachio, though plenty green, lacked any strongly defining flavor. It was difficult to distinguish latte from any of the other vaguely carmely flavors on tap. Melon, an exception, was strongly flavored but disturbing ... and this comes from a melon fan. They were apparently out of cake batter flavor, or it wasn't working for other reasons. Our check-out experience was disorganized, involving cashier's misunderstanding about how discounts should be applied, and it taking some time to convince her that the discounts had not been applied correctly. Overall, there's yogurt there, and it seems to be popular with very young kids. They have a ton of seating out front ( and even heaters! ). But the flavors and checkout experience might be improved.

Greeted with a friendly smile and sample cups were available for tasting. Today, I enjoyed the melon and pineapple dole whip swirl

Cute little shop in Belmont where my daughter enjoyed spending time in. Yogurt + ballons + stickers = kids dream. The yogurt for me was a little bit sweeter that what i go for but the toppings were great and the shop was very well stocked with everything.

My favorite frozen yogurt place ever! Really cute inside and a ton of flavors and toppings. Combinations are endless! My all time favorite will forever be smurfberry. If only they had it all year long! :) the 30-40 minute drive is worth is for menchies yogurt!

We heard good things about this place and decided to go last night, happened to also be $5.00 Friday so I wasn't sure what to expect...chaos maybe...was pleasantly surprised, the selection was great, place was clean, toppings and froyo fresh...better quality than what we've had elsewhere, staff nice, everyone there seem to be enjoying themselves. It was one of the better experiences we've had in comparison to other froyo shops on the peninsula. Will def go back.

Great flavors, and lots of toppings to choose from. The location is also nice because there is indoor and outdoor seating (heat lamps outside!) Look them up on Facebook and watch for all the promotions that are going on. Friendly staff is also a + I will definitely be going back for the Dole Whip!

whenever i wanna treat some broad i surprise them by stopping by this place. super clean and tons of flavors that you are able to sample. priced by weight and not size so you dont get stuck with more than you want. able to mix how ever you want. the irish mint tasted like a shamrock shake but even better because it wasnt too sweet and it was healthy!
(5)

If you're looking for a yogurt that has the same original flavor as pinkberry then go here. It is identical! The original and the pineapple flavor are my favorites. Perfect amt of sweetness and tartness. Also, I love how you can add the toppings yourself.

My kid's favorite hang out spot! Cute decor. Great selection of yogurt and extra goodies to put on. They have $5 fridays too! Spend $50 and get $5. Yes! I didn't know I spent that much on Yogurt! Total Fan.

Great frozen yogurt. They have a great choice of toppings, my favorite being marshmallow. They are self serve machines so you can have control of your own amount.

More than frozen yogurt, I actually really just like the toppings. :-). This place has plenty of them, also you can select a waffle cone instead of a cup. Friendly service, nice outdoor seating, cute spoons.
(4)

They have interesting flavors, but I guess that's typical in fro yo places now. They have all the toppings you need. I just went with pistachio and vanilla with oreo and chocolate chips. It is very clean and a good place to hang out with friends. One cool thing is they have really neat spoons!!!

A friend told me about this place so I when I needed a break from black friday shopping I came to try it. Lots of flavors and toppings where you can choose your own. The staff were nice and told me to try as many of them as I wanted before buying. The peanut butter, chocolate and strawberry flavors are good.

If you stop by the Safeway in Belmont on El Camino there's a new frozen yogurt store called Mencies. It has a fun, inviting atmosphere , self-serve yogurt (so, for instance you could get a bowl full of sprinkes I guess :) ) and the people are very friendly. Imagine if you crossed Yummy Yogurt with Jamba Juice you'd get a place like this. The kids loved it, especially being able to choose whatever toppings they want. It's all by weight.

Great little place. This is my kids favorite yogurt place in Belmont. Good toppings. Good selection. And clean. All in all ok.

(5)Chris S.
(4)Lisa M.
(5)Pamela B.
(2)Dan T.
(1)Kristie C.
Yay for self serve places. Flavor selection was not my thing though :( Too creamy for me (cupcake, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, pineapple, original tart, etc.) Tip: $5 Fridays: all you can get in 1 cup for a flat price of $5? Sweet!
(3)Maria R.
Great selection and variety of flavors every time we visit. The toppings are fresh. The staff is friendly and very attentive to any slight spill or mishap. They allow you enough samples to try all their flavors. Love this place!!
(5)Sayle M.
Love Menchies! The staff is so friendly, the place is nice and clean. They have new flavors all the time and a great selection of toppings. Oh and they have a rewards program. Fridays is $5 for a cup doesn't matter the weight!! Go Menchies!
(5)Emmalouise B.
(5)A B.
(3)Melissa T.
(5)A. L.
(5)G Y.
Nice little froyo place for the kids and adults! They have the cutest merchandise and items for kids, plus the kids get a free balloon on every visit. The employees are also really nice and helpful. New ownership now and you can see the difference.
(5)Desene l.
LOVE! I just moved to San Mateo and was so sad to leave Yogurtland behind. But Menchies is even better! So many good flavors and toppings (which are so clean and organized). Also they have the shell chocolate syrup, Reese's syrup, and whipped cream. YES.
(5)Sophia Y.
(4)Jaime L.
(3)Jennifer L.
I wish this place opens earlier (they open at 11am). They offer a vast selection of frozen yogurt and quite a few out-of-the-ordinary flavors. The place is impeccably clean and organized. The owner is like sunshine. And their spoons are over-the-top cute!
(5)Yana R.
Always a great selection of yogurts and fresh toppings. Plenty of space to grab a table inside or on a nice day outside. Very friendly atmosphere. Very kid friendly. And customer service is always good. We especially make a trip from Foster City to come here.
(5)Denise L.
(4)Victor G.
(4)iris b.
Very frustrating and disappointing :(
(3)Jessica M.
This place rocks great flavors tons of toppings. Best place in the area. The only thing I would say is to get a bell on the door do the employees know people are in the store.
(4)T J.
(3)Venus L.
(5)Mark C.
(4)Veronica S.
(4)Tami S.
(3)Brandy A.

(3)William Y.
I absolutely adore this place. The decor is charming, the frozen yogurt is beyond compare, but what makes this place is the abundance of toppings you can use. A great place!
(5)Bernadette W.
Most friendly yogurt place on the peninsula and a good selection of yogurts. Wish they had carob chips.
(5)Marie S.
(4)Philip L.
Best froyo place around us! Lots of sweet and tart flavors, friendly service, great quality (they take pride in their yogurt ingredients), and very fresh (since they have good business) Much better than yoppi or yummi yogurt
(5)Michelle C.
.44c per ounce of FROYO.
(4)Matthew W.
Great yogurt, superior selection of flavors (cherry tart, wow!), topping selection average and displayed nicely. If you give them your number you get their rewards which is a free yogurt after $50 (from what I could tell), definitely seen better.
(4)Mariah M.

Pumpkin froyo + mud pie froyo + cheesecake bites + brownie bites + mochi + rainbow sprinkles + chocolate chips + magic color-changing spoon + Smileage loyalty card + kick ass service = Suany Fat Pants' dream come true

(4)Jordan F.
Love this place! Won't go to any other froyo shop! Got to try the creamy peanut butter with their warm hot fudge and brownies, YUM!
(5)Steven D.
meh- its just okay.
(2)Kate S.
Yummmmmmmy! I love the variety of flavors, the free cones and the point system. And the people working there are nice....hey, maybe I'll go there for lunch!
(5)Nora M.
(5)Jessica G.

$5 fill fridays! havn't been but planning on going back. went here after a night of food-trucking in belmont. very cute place to hang out and eat your fro yo. great flavors . kinda disappointed that the cashier didnt' ask me if i had a phone number to enter in for points to get deals later on. as i was sitting there eating my fro yo i hear him ask everyone else. when i ask he said it was too late. =( o well ... next time i know...

(5)Ryan G.
Best yogurt spot I've been to! They're extremely fair prices with a crap-load of rotating, awesome flavors and toppings! Get the clear color-changing spoon too!
(5)Rebecca M.
They have good flavors and toppings. The staff is friendly and it's always very clean. You can tell the owner cares about his shop!
(4)Grace L.
Who needs to go to Hawaii when you can get Dole Whip (pineapple) here! When I am eating it, I can close my eyes, ignore all of the small children in the store and pretend that I'm in Hawaii enjoying warm weather and the beach.
(4)Sheila T.
And their spoons are cute! ;)
(5)Olivia C.
ugh I love toppings, it's why I buy frozen yogurt at all to be completely honest with you. menchies is the only one in town that has brownie bites AND cookie dough AND pound cake AND mochi oh my god it's heaven.
(4)Kim N.

(4)Eduardo F.
All great, lots of variaty of flavours. Place is also very clean and great service. Great location too.
(5)Em W.
My favorite frozen yogurt place ever! Really cute inside and a ton of flavors and toppings. Combinations are endless! My all time favorite will forever be smurfberry. If only they had it all year long! :) the 30-40 minute drive is worth is for menchies yogurt!
(5)Wade R.
(5)Andre B.
Great flavors, and lots of toppings to choose from. The location is also nice because there is indoor and outdoor seating (heat lamps outside!) Look them up on Facebook and watch for all the promotions that are going on. Friendly staff is also a + I will definitely be going back for the Dole Whip!
(5)Amy L.
this menchie's has a pineapple flavor that is really yummy. ialso tried the vanilla and coconut which were also really good. i like how they have heaters and tables outside. it's really nice to be able to sit outdoor while enjoying your frozen treat. the service here was great.
(4)Paige V.
Best frozen yogurt place! They always have the best flavors, and fresh fruit. The shop is nice and clean and the staff are pleasant! Love coming here!
(5)FLICK R.
whenever i wanna treat some broad i surprise them by stopping by this place. super clean and tons of flavors that you are able to sample. priced by weight and not size so you dont get stuck with more than you want. able to mix how ever you want. the irish mint tasted like a shamrock shake but even better because it wasnt too sweet and it was healthy!
(5)Sue J.
If you're looking for a yogurt that has the same original flavor as pinkberry then go here. It is identical! The original and the pineapple flavor are my favorites. Perfect amt of sweetness and tartness. Also, I love how you can add the toppings yourself.
(4)Trish L.
My kid's favorite hang out spot! Cute decor. Great selection of yogurt and extra goodies to put on. They have $5 fridays too! Spend $50 and get $5. Yes! I didn't know I spent that much on Yogurt! Total Fan.

(5)Tony T.
Great frozen yogurt. They have a great choice of toppings, my favorite being marshmallow. They are self serve machines so you can have control of your own amount.
(4)Yankee S.
More than frozen yogurt, I actually really just like the toppings. :-). This place has plenty of them, also you can select a waffle cone instead of a cup. Friendly service, nice outdoor seating, cute spoons.
(4)Jeremy T.
They have interesting flavors, but I guess that's typical in fro yo places now. They have all the toppings you need. I just went with pistachio and vanilla with oreo and chocolate chips. It is very clean and a good place to hang out with friends. One cool thing is they have really neat spoons!!!
(4)Rachel B.
A friend told me about this place so I when I needed a break from black friday shopping I came to try it. Lots of flavors and toppings where you can choose your own. The staff were nice and told me to try as many of them as I wanted before buying. The peanut butter, chocolate and strawberry flavors are good.
(4)Courtney A.
Great yogurt and friendly staff! They have a variety of flavors and toppings to satisfy your fro-yo needs. Definitely my new go to fro-yo spot! So glad they opened!
(5)Betsy C.
Great service, flavors and ambiance!!!! Chalk for kids to write on board and stickers/tattoo's for kids too!
(5)Andrew W.
(5)Eartha K.
I love this place! I try a sneak in in between appointments. My daughter thinks its a hit as well.
(5)Rajagopalan R.
Try out the Salted Caramel Flavor! Really Awesme!! .. I think they call it with some weird French name.. (??) .. The Rewards program is also quite decent .. Good thing is .. It s very near 2 my home/office ..
(4)Leo T.
The frozen yogurt at Menchie's is delicious. Plus they have sugar free and low calorie flavors too.
(5)John D.
Great little place. This is my kids favorite yogurt place in Belmont. Good toppings. Good selection. And clean. All in all ok.
