I sat in my car until 7:10am - nobody there, dark on the inside. So, I left. If the business says it is open at 7, the grill should be warmed up and doors open at 7am for its patrons.

I was looking for a quick, low carb, high-protein breakfast & this place hit the spot. Although chicken and eggs weren't on the menu, the guy made it for me anyway. He also was willing to switch the potatoes & toast for tomato slices. The bill was inexpensive - only $7.56. I decided to tip 20%. There wasn't anything innovative or crave able, but predictable & expected. Would go here again for the quick, healthy fix.

Saw all the good reviews so decided to try this place out. The service was good but I thought the food was pretty bad. The bacon was burnt to a crisp and tasted like it had an entire box of salt poured on it. The hash browns were dry and tasted like they came from frozen. The place is definitely cheap but in my opinion not worth it.

Best breakfast in town, make sure you try the potato!Great way to start the day by having breakfast at this place! Great food and great service!

Cute little small cafe! Prices are good and the food is okay. The waiter was really nice. The only down side is that they are only open until 3pm. But if you're in the area come to this place, it's nice and cozy.

After spending two days at Disneyland and eating expensive mediocre to horrible food, we were in need of something delicious and cheap before we hit the road to go back home. This place was just what we were looking for. Great food, and awesome Mexican breakfasts as well. Everyone at our table licked our plates clean. What really made this place great was the service. The guy who served us (I got the sense he was the manager or even the owner) was super friendly, genuine, and fast. We were in and out of that place in 45 min! Full bellies and happy faces. GO HERE!!

Been eyeing this little place for a while. It's Mexican / American fare looked pretty promising. And I was not let down. yelp.com/user_local_phot… I rolled in at 8:30 (Sun.) and was told to sit wherever I wanted. I seated my self in a comfy booth and had a cup of coffee in my hand only a min. or so. Couple of sips of coffee and I popped open the menu and only took a couple of min to decide on breakfast. The host/waiter topped off my coffee as I gave him my order. FOOD ORDERED: Santa Fe Scramble ... Scrambled egg with green chilis & cheese, topped with pico de gallo and avacado slices. Toast and country fried potatoes. yelp.com/user_local_phot… TASTE: Santa Fe Scramble ...a pretty good scramble, could have used a lot more green chili and the pico was kind a bland so I kicked it up a notch with some Tapitio 3.5***Stars Country Fried Potatoes ... So effin good! Cooked crispy with black pepper and some bacon bits, not at all greasy. Didn't even use ketchup. So good I asked for an extra order which they gave me on the house! Tater love! 5*****Stars SERVICE: With a smile, quick and polite. Clean resturant! Great service (free taters!). 5*****Stars I noticed someone having a milk shake with breakfast, what a great idea! I have to try that sometime, but not with menudo like they were. I reccomend this place for some pretty inexpensive comfort food in the morning! I'll be back!

Food was bland and ice tasted funny in the iced tea so I couldn't drink it. I ordered a side of biscuits and gravy and the gravy was tasteless. The biscuits were plain. Service was fine. Yelp reviews let me down this time.

A real find. Down-home cooking at great prices. Delicious and hearty breakfasts, with a large Mexican breakfast section too. If I lived in the area, this would be the perfect hangover breakfast spot, haha! Quick and friendly staff (minus the woman running the cash register; she didn't seem friendly at all). Our waiter was awesome though; super nice and fast. This place isn't much on decor, but who needs it; you're in for some good eating at Country Family Cafe.

Family and I come here everytime we are in the Anaheim area. Breakfast is amazing and value is great. They have special yellow hot sauce that is ssspiccyy. Great stuff.

  • Marie S.

I love all there breakfast dishes. Can't complain about anything here. Love a good mom & pops family restaurant. Although the place is a Lil bit outdated, the service and food makes up for all of it. Prices are totally reasonable too!

  • D K.

Small venue, so come early to get a seat or sit at the counter. Quality of food is great! Prices are reasonable, portions are good (not too big or too small), and friendly staff. 2nd time here and plan to come again^^

  • Brad M.

Chant it with me...Oover raated. You get what you pay for in size, but quality is iffy. Server never greeted nor smiled and made me feel guilty for opting out on coffee. Only eat here out of desparation. Lol

Excellent place! Perfect for a breakfast with kids. Service was quick and friendly. Much better than a chain.

  • Anne W.

Great place for value dining, swift service and gracious staff. We were looking for tasty traditional breakfast fare that was nearby Disneyland but not overpriced. We found it here for sure. Be forewarned - this is a small place and very popular with the locals so you might have a bit of a wait. It's worth it though. Ham 'n eggs were tasty, and their 2-2-2 eggs, bacon, sausage & pancakes special was good too - and only $6! The hashbrowns aren't the greatest and the sausage is a bit greasy but everything else is really good. Loved their pancakes - the batter had a hint of cinnamon and their texture was perfect.

Only three people in place when we walked in. Two were already eating. Two customers arrive 10 minutes after we sat down. Those two customers get served. 25 minutes later we're still waiting. We ask, Pete the owner says the food is being played and will be right up. 10 minutes later we're still waiting. Asked agin and owner says food is on its way. Five minutes later we ask why was everyone being served before us. He says sorry but we accidentally put the other orders before yours. Right. We said we have waited long enough and asked how can eggs and bacon take 35 minutes? He said there was a mix up. We walked out without being served and he was not the slightest bit concerned by this. Place looks nice but no concept of customer service. Never coming back Pete. You lost a future customer and hopefully others read this and do the same. I wish I could give zero stars.

Efficient waitstaff, fast service, and most important...great eats! The chilaquiles plate was a perfect way to start the long drive back home to NorCal. Can't wait to come back and try the picado!!!

Let me just start off by saying this is my favorite breakfast spot so far. I found this place on yelp, and the reviews were pretty good, so i decided to check it out. Boy oh boy i was not disappointed that i checked this place out. Location: This little hole in the wall is in a little plaza on the corner of two main streets, so it hard to miss. Parking is never a problem in the plaza. Service: The staff is very friendly, and it feels like a mom and pop diner. The owner also works with the employees and makes sure that you have the best service that can be offered to you. They make you feel like family, and you start to think that you are at your uncles house for breakfast. Food: Every time i try something new at this location, i am not disappointed. The dish that is my favorite though, is the Chilaquiles. All the dishes are always flavorful, and the portions are gigantic. The price, wow, you will never find a more fulfilling meal for such a low price. Also, i recommend that everyone tries the pancakes here. I'm not sure why, but the pancakes taste magically delicious! Great service, Great food, and always a great time for my stomach.

  • Doa M.

Food was on par with Denny's and they over cooked our pancake and messed up the egg order. They have only three guys total working there to do everything so they seem a little rushed, thus the level of service drops.

I had a super good experience here this morning. I never heard of this place before and I'm super glad my girlfriend found it on yelp. She literally rolled over in bed asked what I wanted to eat and yelped this place hahaha. Well let's get on to the review shall we, first off this place is super cheap. You really get your bang for your buck here and some! You kinda feel like you robbed the place after eating such a delicious meal and paying so little for what you ate haha! I ordered the country fried steak with eggs over easy with a side of hash browns and white toast. My girlfriend got a scramble which I can't recall the name but it had spinach, and mushroom in it and a side of pancakes for us to share. Omg the food was good and our server was super nice. I really liked the ambiance of the place it reminded me of a super old school diner from like the 70's and the people were nice and it just seemed like a real nice cozy place to eat. Like if you want to go somewhere to eat and he just as comfortable as if you were eating at home, this is the place to be. The cons of this place is that it's super small. My girlfriend and I didn't have to wait very long but we did notice other people who came in, waited for about 5 minutes and left so that could be an issue but other than that the service and food were great. I really do think everyone should try this place and bring a friend it's a good place to come to and maybe catch up with someone close. I'm definitely recommending this place to my friends or maybe brining them myself to try the food here, I for one will try to go back in the near future and get me some more of that delicious country fried steak!

Cheap food. Nothing fancy, so don't expect. You want a 4 star breakfast make sure to fork up $$$ elsewhere. Simple food for less. It's ok for the price. Would definitely come back if at Disneyland area.

    (4)
  • Linda Y.

Family friendly, great prices. I had the Florentine Scrambled two days in a row and loved it. Location is perfect for a little out of the way of Disneyland (not walking distance, but a short 5 min drive away) so you don't get the ridiculous crowds and ridiculous prices.

    (5)
  • Sully S.

The reviewers here must have very low expectations. Sure it was cheap, but for good reason. It was mediocre at best. Rubber pancakes, a scramble with no flavor and cheese on top unmelted, right out of the bag. They had weak coffe and poor service. I try mom and pop breakfast spots all over town and this wasnt a good one.

    (2)
  • Jonathan N.

Parking can be difficult since it is a small plaza, but that's the only thing. Food here is well-portioned for what you pay for! Prices range about $4.99 for eggs, bacon, and a side of country potatoes to $9.99 for country fried steak (and that's cheap)! I had the Santa Fe Scramble and it was amazing! An omelette topped with freshly made salsa and whole slices of avocado made this dish really stand out. There was also a side of country potatoes, and it was only $5.99. Service was both fast and friendly. What more could you ask for? If you're looking for a good breakfast that doesn't break the wallet in any way, this is the place to go!

This is my second time coming to this place. For years I've lived super close to this place but I had never thought about coming here or even noticed it until one day I came with a couple friends. I ordered the egg and chorizo.it tasted just like moms home cooking..second time I came I got the same thing and next time I go I'll probably get it again!

Great place for reasonably priced basic breakfast. Good homemade salsa. Good service, lively diner atmosphere.

Delicious, affordable food with friendly, happy service. Our family of five ate breakfast for under $35 with tip. My kids asked to come back tomorrow. I had the chilaquiles with beans, eggs and potatoes. It all was simply seasoned and delicious. My wife had 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon and 2 pancakes for $6. She said it was some of the better pancakes she's ever had. This is what food should be.

  • Harrison M.

Pretty good food. Low prices and somewhat friendly staff. I got the French dip and it had good flavor. Didn't try the Mexican food but it seems like that is what they are known for.

Breakfast was extremely cheap! Busy, busy, busy on Sunday mornings but workers are on top of it. You can tell all the workers are related. :) they provide great service, quick and they all work well together. All so nice. Denver omelette with hash and toast french toast combo (spilt between two kids ages 5 and 4 and it was perfect) All for $ 13 ! Restaurant is definitely outdated...doesnt really have any charm to it. But the food is good and cheap.

Love this place, just good food & good service. We went to Disneyland & stayed the night at the Grand Californian so we needed to catch a break & eat a yummy breakfast on the cheap. Specializing in Mexican breakfast favorites such as huevas rancheros. Coffee was hot & tasty not watered down and the food came out QUICK and flavorful. They have two high chairs and limited seating but they get you fed quickly and leave you full & happy.

Just had breakfast with our family of 7. Great location and great food. Omelet and potatoes were very good.

    (5)
  • Casey W.

The country scramble. Sooo good. Their breakfast burrito is decent too, but might as well get the scramble since it comes with tortillas. Their pico de gallo salsa is wayy hotter than I expected, but ask for it on the side and I'm golden. Can't beat the price either.

  • Gabriel P.

I had the chicken fried steak and it had so much flavor and just the right portion. The meat had a slight marinade and a great batter. My mom had chili verde and eggs and it was delish as well. The shock was how cheap. Under 20 for both with coffee.

    (5)
  • Jake M.

Small place with great food and five star service. This place is a must stop. We had chorizo and eggs, spinach and ham and cheese omelettes, waffles, and French toast. Everything was cooked to order. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will be back here for sure the next time we are in town.

  • Vanessa H.

Great place to eat! Portions are a good size for the price. Friendly service and tasty food. Great place to go to if you are staying near Disneyland and want something beside your IHOP and Denny's!

  • Erica S.

Omg delicious!! Decent prices and everything was good. Me and my family came for Veterans Day breakfast. Their portions are pretty big especially the burritos. I had the chilaquiles with beans and potatoes and they tasted great. Even the beans tasted homemade! We will be back

  • Lani C.

Amazing!! Great food for a great price. They accommodated our group of 13 and worth the little drive. The guys working there were super nice. This is a must go to especially if you are doing Disney.

  • Amanda C.

For a quick breakfast fix before heading to Disneyland, it was good service and good. Typical breakfast foods but because it was ran by a family, it felt more home-y. I had the Monterey Omelette and I enjoyed it. Also had orange juice which was good as well. Second time I came, I had tea which they actually provided with my own hot water to pour and honey! Good touch. The hash browns were admired by many that I brought to the restaurant too.

This place is great and inexpensive in the Disney Area. My husband really loves the chile verde. The food comes out quick and delicious. Great stop before you hit the theme parks.

  • Nevin F.

We came to have breakfast here after we read the reviews about this place. The 2stars r for the staff who tries to work w what they got. Food is below average. My husband had the chicken fried steak but it was black pepper w gravy. 1 cup of water for the both of us and it wasn't refilled. It's small and homie but too small and homie. I watched our waiter clean a table then make a pot of coffee then toast and butter toast all without washing his hands once. He had a bucket of water on the floor and he just dipped his hands in it when he was done w the toast. We won't be back.

  • Matt N.

This restaurant is no frills, but it's fast, good service, and excellently priced for what you get. On a Saturday or Sunday morning, many breakfast eateries have excessive wait times, but the friendly-speedy service at Country Family makes sure that you're seated quickly and served food even faster. The omelets here are a family favorite.

    (4)
  • Tiff P.

Basic breakfast that won't break your wallet. We fed our party of 5 for $28!!! And everyone left full and satisfied. If you're in the Disney area, this is a great breakfast spot. Quick service, but limited seating.

  • Arnold W.

I'm always looking for good breakfast places in Orange County, so if you know any...please do share! Thanks! This place is your standard mom&pop American breakfast place. The food here is quite hearty. You can't really mess up breakfast, but there's nothing way too special about it here. Pretty standard breakfast place. The prices are reasonable and you actually get quite a bit for what you pay for. The waiters are quite honest here. I dropped $200 out of my pocket. I found one on my seat, but thought I lost the other $100 bill and started to really freak out, but then they returned it back to me. That's great.

  • Nicole M.

This place is awesome. They have delicious Mexican breakfast for $5-6 a plate. The chiliqules is flavorful and not mushy like some. It's very family oriented. Give this place a go.

1st time here based on YELP reviews its worth the trip if you home style Mexican American food awesome hidden gem the Chile Verde was the bomb! & Machaca & Eggs were so yummy the $prices are very affordable

  • William N.

The food was fantastic, especially the pancakes. The service was excellent. And the prices are well below average. What a great breakfast find! Note: This is a standard, old school type diner. Not a fancy place. But perfect for standard breakfast and great prices. And the staff are very fast and efficient.

Great place for breakfast and brunch, had the chilaquiles and Carne con Chile verde both very good. Service was good as well.

  • Alex D.

Love this place. Love the local small feel. Came ere looking for a place to have a decent breakfast and ended up discovering a hidden gem. Mexican style breakfast was simple yet well executed. It was so good I went back the next morning. First day I had the Machaca and eggs and have nothing bad to say. Next day I went for the chicken fried steak , and again left very satisfied. It's not fancy but what they do they do well. It's very unassuming so don't judge this book by its cover. Prices were more than affordable almost cheap for what you get. Next time I'm in the area for ether and Angels game or Disneyland we will most certainly be having breakfast here.

Never would have found this place without yelp but am glad I did. Had one of the best breakfast I have ever enjoyed here. The avacodo was so fresh and delicous. Our waiter was extremely friendly and couteous. If I am ever in California again I will defiantly be back.

Who needs hot sauce when this place has the best pico de gallo..had the breakfast burrito and it was great. The coffee was weak sauce but the food killed it.

  • Scott H.

thanks to yelp, we stopped here this morning before going to disneyland. It's old school, bare bones, and has "regulars" that were sitting at the bar area, chatting it up with the staff like they had known each other for years. Service was quick, coffee was good, and so was the food. I had the Santa fe scramble, and I left feeling full. Tasty food, low overhead, and good service. I'll be going back. If you're someone who is all about eating at "TRENDY" spots, don't bother stopping here, but you'll be missing good food.

  • Stephanie G.

I'm so picky when it comes to food and I was kind of nervous coming here for the first time for that reason. I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed with the quality of the service given. There was only one sever for the whole dine (which was busy btw), and we were taken care of very quickly. Our server was very friendly and the food was better than delicious, it was THE BOMB! :) Take it from a hard core food critic ;) Prices are very cheap for the amount you get and the quality of the food. Over all, this place a great place to eat and this will now be one of my new favorite breakfast spots. :)

  • Jason B.

It's a cafe, so understand the meaning of the word before you come here. The food is good, cheap and filling but by all means, it's not fancy. Service was good too. I personally like it and will come back.

Wanted breakfast at a non-chain after a weekend at Disney and before we pulled out of town. Have been to the Pancake House and IHop and always expensive and terrible. Checked yelp and landed here. Sat at counter with 2 friends. Fast and friendly service. It was a Sunday morning and most all tables taken but counter wide open. Best place to sit to have delicious coffee refilled ASAP. Between the 3 of us we had eggs/french toast combo with bacon (only $5.50!!!), spinach omelet, toast and fruit. Food arrived as ordered and fast. This isn't fancy fare; it's down-home cooking but it's inexpensive and who doesn't want to save $ after Disney? Yes, the maple syrup is served in the plastic Aunt Jemima bottle but who cares!? We will make a note to return next visit to Anaheim!

  • Andrina S.

Very nice place and super cheap for the amount of food and proximity to Disneyland. We got: Pork chops and eggs Country fried steak and eggs French toast Coffee and Sprite The portions were big enough. The pork chops came with two, but these are super thin and with a lot of bones to work around. There were some parts of it that were extremely salty and the rest was fine. The country fried steak was a little peppery and pounded thin. So if you are not a fan of a lot of black pepper like my fiancé, then don't get this. The french toast was pretty basic, but you can't go wrong here. Overall, it's a great place to fill up before your day. Very cozy. Super cheap. We come up to Disneyland all the time, so we will be back.

    (4)
  • Natividad T.

Again, we went here for a wonderful breakfast...and again we were very satisfied. I had the 2.2.2 special and my fiancee had two eggs over easy with toast and hash browns. Simple, yet very delicious and very satisfying. We will go back again.

The house omelette is the way to go. We found our new breakfast place whenever we come to Anaheim.

  • Nettie H.

Been in the Disneyland area for the last 3 days... definitely the best breakfast I've eaten. It doesn't taste like restaurant food it taste like it was made at home with love. However, I cannot same the same about the service, one waiter many customers=stressed out waiter. He needs to lighten up but there are just too many things going on for one person to handle. I can ignore the small inconvenience and I would definitely easy here again. Plus the price is right!

    (4)
  • Irene L.

The lady on the phone wasn't the friendliest, and not exactly rude, but didn't really say bye when she hung up just repeated my order back and then *click*. I had the chilaquiles and bf had the avocado shrimp omelette, we both liked our food and it was good-ok, but not amazing. They have a tv playing World Cup on the bar counter, even though we took our food to go the service was very fast and friendly. The parking lot is very very small and it's super close to Kaiser (Garden Grove).

    (3)
  • Gretchen P.

My family and I have been here a few different times and this place is always amazing! Kids love the French toast and pancakes! My husband and I get best Mexican breakfast! Everyone that works there is always friendly and smiling even when they are super busy, which is every time we've been there.

    (5)
  • Clarisse B.

I had there shrimp avocado omelette and it was sooooo... Delicious. It's a hidden gem that I never realized was here until I took my puppy for grooming across the street. The coffee is fresh and the place is very clean. I would definitely recommend eating here and the prices are awesome as well.

  • Liza M.

Best place to have breakfast during a disneyland trip! We came here two mornings in a row because I hate chain restaurants like Denny's for breakfast. I love me some Mexican breakfast. They also have many other options. Great service and awesome prices. Small place, can't accommodate large parties. Get there before 10am to avoid a wait.

    (5)
  • H L.

Amazing deal! Great food, excellent service - and no wait!! They're about 10 minutes from Disneyland, so it's perfectly located far enough away from the downtown traffic but close enough that you don't have to dine and dash. The owners were very friendly and accommodating to our large group of 10, which included two little ones. Food was generous and cooked well, and they came by frequently for coffee refills and to see how the food was. The prices are also spectacular - really low priced for the area, and definitely made our weekend at Disneyland just a bit more affordable. I'm making this my go-to breakfast spot for any Disney vacations.

    (5)
  • Anthony A.

Bomb! We came here for breakfast this morning and were extremely pleased. There was a line out the door, and the people in front of us left. Joke's on them. The waitstaff set up tables outside to accommodate the large parties in front of us and were engaged with us as we waited. We were seated inside after about a 20 minutes and were well taken care of. Our coffee cups stayed full, my scramble and my wife's special were excellent. I had the Santa Fe Scramble and the Pico had a good flavor and kick, and the home fries were amazing. My wife raved about the pancakes and wished she had gotten a full order of the potatoes. By the way, they were slammed and I didn't feel ignored or rushed even once. The bill? $17+tip. Absolutely cannot beat it.

  • Delena T.

Found this small cafe on yelp and I have to say looks can be deceiving. I got the machacca for the first time ever and it was amazing! Such a good first impression I'll definitely be back for more. The machacca made about 6 tacos I couldn't even finish my dish. For $5.99 that's such a great deal. The corn tortillas they make are soo good and unlimited as well. I got some to go too. They make everything on the spot so it'll take a little while to get your dish but it's guaranteed fresh, good, and worth it. My boyfriend got the menudo I couldn't get past the texture of the beef though but the broth was flavorful. Other than that everything was perfect. Two people and the total was $13.49. Perfect breakfast for the best price.

  • Elijah S.

What an awesome place. Girlfriend and I yelped "breakfast" and this place popped up and we were not! Disappointed. Order the pancake combo and the French toast combo, both were amazing! Great deal! Warm welcome and great service. This is our breakfast/lunch place from now on

  • Jennifer F.

If you are looking for a good breakfast, at a reasonable price, this is the place to go. The whole family enjoyed their food. The best part was the friendly and welcoming service. We will definitely come back again if we are in the area!

  • Tyler A.

Delicious. I got the Country Scramble and the Home Omelette. It was super bomb (extremely scrumptious). If your looking for a cheap breakfast that is near Disneyland, this is your spot. The place is small inside but they turn over pretty quickly. Service was good. Overall not disappointed I will return.

  • Brandon M.

This place is no-frills breakfast food at amazing prices. We came twice while visiting Disneyland and it was hands down the best value we got throughout our entire visit. For $5.50 I got Chilaquiles, 2 eggs, beans, country potatoes and 2 slices of toast, and the portions are great. They basically serve typical diner breakfast food along with a section of 'Mexican' breakfasts like 'Huevos ha la mexicana' 'Chilaquiles' etc. It's worth noting that my wife said the Country fried steak was not great at our second visit but it appeared for the most part the food was solid and very cheap. My wife and I both ordered breakfast along with a kids breakfast and 2 coffees and we only spent $19. They do close at 3 because they only do breakfast, keep that in mind. It's basic, no frills, no recipes to call home about, but its solid and its not expensive. Why are there not more restaurants like this?

Good for the price. I had the Chiliquila and it was good - had to ask for sour cream though. Stay away from the waffles - heavy and tasted like cinnamon. Eggs were super fresh and perfectly done. Atmosphere is a bit greasy old diner-ish but they keep it very clean. The service was terrific. I would go back, but I probably won't since I'm from out if state.

Amazing service for a great price ! My boyfriend and I went in for a late breakfast this past Sunday before going into Disneyland. We found this place thru Yelp and had never heard about it, but were looking forward to it as it was very close by and had 4 stars. We entered the establishment and we're greeted immediately. They seemed busy so they gave us the option of sitting at the bar or outside. We opted for the bar. Everyone was really nice and we receive fast service. One gentleman in particular was super nice and funny , we had some good laughs. My boyfriend got the AOMT omelette with the country potatoes and side of sourdough and I got the deluxe scramble with side of wheat toast and two coffees. We were highly satisfied with the food and great price ! The total was about $18 plus tip. We'll definitely be coming back !

Wanted brunch during a long and scorching weekend at Disneyland, stumbled upon this place after reading positive reviews on Yelp. Looked like a nice mom-and-pop place. Upon entering, we were told and motioned to seat ourselves wherever we'd like. As soon as we were seated, more people piled in and we felt lucky that we even got a table. I ordered a country fried steak with eggs and my girlfriend got a chili cheese omelette. It didn't take very long, but they were really busy. Took awhile to get someone's attention to get her water refilled. The food was good, but the dishes were fairly under-seasoned. Even the gravy for the country friend steak barely had any flavor. I can faintly taste the sausage, but then not really. My girlfriend said the chili cheese/beans tasted like it came out of a can. Flavorless at best. We both added some salt to our dishes to salvage whatever was left on our plate. It's a cute place. I definitely wish we have diners like this in our neighborhood in San Diego. I'd give this place another chance.

I'd give this place no stars if I could. Melt dad and I went in for breakfast on a Sunday. This place is grungy and run down. The cook was picking his nose while he was behind the grill. The servers and cooks all look like a bunch of ex convicts with really rude attitude. We got our food very quick and by then We had no appetite. On top of all that the manager told us to move from our table so they could seat a larger group. I found that very rude and we got up and left. Avoid this place at all costs!!

Foods are extremely affordable and delicious. The problem is theres only 1 server which makes some people have to wait on busy day. Anyway good place to have your first meal of the day. I would say that Country Family Cafe is a solid choice for Breakfast.

We went here on our way to Disneyland on a Sunday morning around 11:00 a.m., and I have to say we were unimpressed foot a restaurant with a 4-star Yelp review. The prices seemed reasonable, but once we got the food we found out why pretty quickly. The highlights of our meal included: - Dinty Moore (or equivalent) canned corned beef hash - Continental-breakfast-at-a-crappy-hotel waffles - Burnt bacon - Over-worked hash browns that were closer to the consistency of mashed potatoes Service was slow, but probably because they were so busy. Maybe we just ordered the wrong plates, but I doubt seriously that we'll be back with all the other options in the area.

As many have mentioned, the food here is extremely affordable and definitely delicious. I ordered the Breakfast Chile Verde and I must say, it did not dissappoint. I have to unfortunately comment on the size of the facilities. There seemed to be tons of Yelpers there today as they were packed. The wait wasn't to bad but the disorganization of not being able to tell who has been waiting the longest was noticeable. One couple got passed over twice by people who hadn't been waiting as long. I felt bad but was glad they got served before us as we would've mentioned to the server they were waiting longer. There is only one server and one cook. The server is an awesome person who is super courteous and polite. I will say though because they're isn't very much help that they do make some mistakes in orders etc. The cook is a very very talent chef. His meals are simply put amazing. I think they could handle the growth a bit better as most people are starting to comment the same things, small facilities and single server. The persons commenting on food quality I believe are isolated cases as the family of 6 we had all tried different things and everything was wonderful.

This place was pretty dead when I first came in but the customers came in 1 at a time as the morning proceeded. I really liked their chicken fried steak and their potatoes were so hardy and a cross between hash and regular old breakfast potatoes. The flavor a were all there! This was definitely a morning of comfort food after working the night shift at my job. The waiter and chef were attentive as I watched the fox 11 news on their TV. I really liked the sourdough bread and butter dipped in the yolk of my over easy eggs. This place is a must try if you are looking for a diner-like breakfast bite with no crowds on a weekday morning.

A good breakfast starts the day out right and that is what you'll get here at Country Family Cafe. Another breakfast delivery from the Wifey. I'm always on the lookout for a good breakfast place, so when wifey asked if I wanted breakfast. The answer is always YES!! I even got to choose the place, yay!! Country Family Cafe is a solid choice for Breakfast! Here's the rundown: Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs - The steak was very tender, a touch on the peppery side, Yum!. The gravy was creamy and delicious. The egg was perfect sunny side up. Spinach, Mushroom & Cheese Omelette - What a really good omelette. All the ingredients were a perfect match, making a delicious dish. Yum Yum!! Each order came with Hash Browns. They were okay, nothing special. Price: very reasonable, you might even say cheap. Food quality was very good and add great price to it, we have a Winner here. Try them out for yourself and decide.

Don't let looks deceive you. On the outside, this restaurant doesn't look too appealing and the inside doesn't look much better. It isn't dirty or in bad condition, it is just a bit old and out of the date. Our sever was very nice and paid attention to is even though he was the only server for several tables. We came in for breakfast and ordered omelets and egg scrambles. It took awhile to get our food because they have a small kitchen with only a few chefs. Our food tasted good. It was much better than any eggs we would have had if we ate at Denny's. I would only come back for breakfast and I wouldn't bother coming in if there was already a crowd.

After a solid 30-hours at the Disneyland Resort over the course of two days separated with only 4.5 hours of sleep separating each visit, nothing beats getting some good food at even better prices for the drive back up I-5. We arrived at Country Family Cafe just a little after opening and the restaurant itself was still pretty quiet. The establishment itself was fairly unassuming with a few (obviously, not Disneyland bound) locals having themselves a nice Sunday breakfast. Right off the bat, the gentleman that served us was clearly a morning person. Definitely a welcomed personality considering how tired our group was and the, ahem, 'characters' (pun definitely intended) you come across in Disneyland and CA Adventure. Easily +1 for CFC. Our order came within a reasonable amount of time and were we pleasantly surprised with the taste and quality of the food we received. I ordered the chili verde breakfast item and a coffee and couldn't have been happier considering how affordable it was at the same time. We, our group of four, all came to the agreement that there wasn't anything we ordered that we wouldn't happily order again. Another +1 for CFC. My only con, if I had to provide one about this restaurant, is that I wish it was open a little earlier. My friends and I love to be in the park from open to close and wouldn't mind coming here beforehand. Regardless, this place made for a great breakfast place that we wouldn't mind revisiting.

Nothing special. Good service below average food. Had the chorizo breakfast, refried beans were soupy. Also tried small bowl of menudo which was watered down and lacked flavor. The home fried potatoes were overcooked also lacking flavor and salt. Didn't understand why this place was rated highly and people were pouring in. Definitely would not come back.

If this diner was a Disney movie it would be "Frozen". Everything Olaf brought out to us was cold - that includes the coffee, waffles, and the eggs?! How is it even possible for sunny side up eggs to be cold?? Let it go. Just let it go.

Great breakfast spot not too far from Disneyland. Prices are great, food is good, and service is excellent. One of the cleanest restaurants I have been to as well. Seating is a little limited so not a great place to go with large groups, but for the average family its a great place.

I really don't know where to start. We were expecting so much more after seeing all of the 4 and 5 star reviews. The place was dirty and our food was...meh.

  • A A.

Damn you Yelpers, you did it to me again. Walking into the place, you can tell its rundown not by age but by lack of upkeep. You take a look at the bottles at the end of the table, they've been refilled so many times that their presentation just looks disgusting. And its not the generic bottles, its store bought Aunt Jemima and Heinz ketchup bottles, with their labels so cracked and peeling that you KNOW the contents are not genuine anymore. By the time we sat down, we were already greeted by the server so escape was impossible. In good taste (manners), we went ahead and ordered. The one "Pro" thing about this place: Breakfast for two with two cups of OJ was under $20. But dear God, I would have paid more for some quality. The bad: Toast wasn't toasted...like at all. If you held up the bread to the sun, it would get a better toast job than what they did here. Corned Beef Hash was exactly as someone else described: Dinty Moore fresh from can, and not even cooked long enough on the grill to get rid of the can taste. In fact, some portions of it were still uncooked. Hash browns made from gooey frozen hashbrowns that were left to thaw out and then absorbed all the water from the freezer, hence why it comes out to that "mashed potatoes" consistency. The waiter/cashier picked up my checks from the floor, threw a few pieces of bread into the toaster, then went to the cash register to handle cash. GROSS. Ever heard of CA laws regarding cleanliness in the preparation of FOOD? Obviously not. The people coming to this place is Disneyland tourists who don't know the area better and rely on Yelp, or a few scummy locals who are better suited in a biker bar at Mos Eisleys. Yes, that was a reference to TWO Disney related things, so sue me. I ate everything on my plate, not because I enjoyed it, but because I grew up with the notion that you "don't waste food". However, I am suffering from that ideology, but thankfully, I have Pepto and Charmins on standby. Go here only if you want to be grossed out that you actually ate there.

Loved this cafe! It was small but reminded me of a nice home cooked meal! It was pretty crowded and at first it seems very disorganized as to who's actually seating people. But they are very nice and friendly. I ordered an omelette and had them add avocado. And it was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more off their menu!

The food is amazing here i came with a group of my friends and we each had a little bit of everything on the menu. The salsa here is amazing its fresh and has a nice kick to it. The coffee is also good for what they have. Everything that was served was devoured in minutes. Definitely would come here if you're in town!

This place is the best! It was my second visit here today and I brought my sister along for some breakfast. After looking at numerous reviews, the chilaquiles really stood out and I opted for that. My sister ordered the sausage & eggs combo that also came with hashbrowns and toast. Service was very fast and the waiter was attentive, asking if we were okay and if everything tasted good. I would definitely come back - the service is great, the food is delicious and the prices are super reasonable. Thanks for a great meal, Country Family Cafe!

I picked Country Family Cafe because of all you Yelpers. I was planning to go elsewhere, but I wanted to try something new. Here are the pros: The employees were super nice. The food was really inexpensive. It was less than $22 for three people before tip, including beverages. The potatoes were really tasty. The child portion was large and my kiddo ate everything except for the eggs. The men's bathroom was clean. The cons? Well, the chilaquiles I got were still hard, not soft. It was almost like they just took chips and put sauce on them and did not simmer at all. The beans were watery. My mom's Santiago scramble was "just okay" and did not have a lot of flavor. The women's bathroom was clogged and about to overflow. Now, I would not call this a fault of the restaurant except that as I was walking back to the restroom one of the employees said "I told you so" and then another employee followed me back to the restroom and apologized before I opened the door. He said he would fix it. I opted to use the men's (which, as I mentioned before, was clean). Overall, it was an inexpensive breakfast at a decent place. I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here again because of all the great places in Anaheim, but it was fine.

Wanted to try a different breakfast spot.. looked on yelp of course and found this nearby. There was plenty of parking but I understand how it could be hard to find it if gets busy.. Anyhow was really easy to find. Walked in and greeted right away and everyone working there had a smile on their face which made the atmosphere super welcoming. Positives: clean professional generous portions affordable tasty fresh food tv great service Negatives: None! I will def be going back its such a great hole in the wall spot - for the price you just can't go wrong.

My new eating spot for breakfast. Who would've known this jewel was sitting on Euclid and Katella? The ambiance reminded me of an old fashion diner, 70s-80's decor which I don't mind at all. Though the place was small, the food was superb. Nothing fancy, just some good ole home cooked breakfast. The price is reasonable (cheapest I've ever seen).

Yum. A great alternative to theme park food. Cheap, delicious, and satisfying. We stopped by for breakfast before our trip to Disney. We walk in, and the place wasn't packed, but almost everyone inside was local. Good sign. I had the chili verde, which came with two eggs, tortillas, and home fries. Everything was very tasty, and the portion was perfect. I was able to eat the whole thing and not be sluggishly stuffed -- energized for my day at Disney! The coffee was good, too. Service-wise, the waiter was friendly and attentive. I'm glad I tried this place out!

Good food, friendly staff. I came here because I had read a few good reviews and wanted a good local breakfast cafe to go to regularly, and I've been nothing but impressed. Decor could be freshened up, but who cares when the food is good, right? I've been here a few times now, and have enjoyed every visit. Pretty close to Disneyland for all of you Passholes out there.

Visiting Disneyland, we found ourselves hungry at 11 o'clock and the hotel didn't have breakfast. Apparently there's lines out the door before that but there wasn't when u got there. I followed the yelp reviews and now I am adding to the love! THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. Everything was made to 100% perfection, so much that we all got seconds, even though the portions were huge and we barely broke $50 (four people). We can't wait to go back!!! One thing though. Don't get the waffles; unlike the pancakes, they were frozen and cooked.

This place was nice, fast, and good. I felt the service here was superb as our server was clear and attentive to our needs. I ordered a machaca burrito and everything about it was great BUT it didn't have much meat inside. Like only a few strands here and there. If I were to guess, about half a teaspoon of meat. My buddy ordered a sausage burrito and he loved his too, but again very little meat inside. Parking is wonderful and there seems to be an abundance of spaces available, but this was at 8:30am on a Saturday. Not sure what it's like otherwise. Seating has like 8 or so booths and roughly 8 counter spots. My only other gripe here is that there are no tables. Since we are both over 300lbs though, it was rough sitting but we were able to squeeze in at the counter. Just a little for those a little bigger. Otherwise it's awesome!!! I'd give this place a 5 star rating, but had to drop it to 4 stars because of the lack of meat in the burritos and the tiny seating areas. But the prices are incredible and it's close to Disneyland and the service truly is wonderful.

Small place, cheap food, good service. We went there for breakfast before heading off to Disneyland. We were doing research on places to eat breakfast in the area. Saw this one with 4 stars with a decent amount of reviews so we decided to check it out. I ordered the spinach, mushrooms and cheese omelette with hash browns on the side. The omelette was ok. I LOVE hash browns... But mine was burnt. It was a sad moment. My boyfriend ordered the chilaquiles. He said it was under seasoned and that it was ok. He found the beans very watery. We weren't too happy with what we ordered. Besides the price of the food and the great service, I would pass.

My favorite restaurant of all. Unfortunately, it's not open very late. I go here about 3-4 times a week. Yep, it's THAT delicious. Great service with friendly waiters/cooks. You become family there quickly- they have great memories when you become a 'regular' there which is alwayssss nice. Delicious country deluxe- it's a scramble with eggs, potatoes, bell pepper, onions, cheese, avocado.. I might be missing something. Anyway, it's a MUST TRY! Oh, and their scrumptious pancakes that have a taste of cinnamon. This will be your new favorite restaurant. Give it a try. It's a small, hole in the wall place. It's a family favorite. Oh! And this is rare.. They have cream of wheat. Mmmm :)

Little diner, I'm glad I found this place on yelp or else I would have never noticed it. I had their potatoes with bell peppers onions and mushrooms with eggs and my mother in law had their turkey melt with bacon. I loved my dish she thought hers was very good also. They were both very simple, but very good. I will definitely come here again. Its not very pricey either.

I discovered this place a few months back while driving home from the gym and after looking them up on Yelp I instantly knew I had to give them a try. Fast forward a couple of months and my wife and I finally decided to give them a try. Seeing as the place is quite small in size as far as seating is concerned and the fact that several reviews state that the place fills up with regulars we decided to get here earlier than normal in hopes of avoiding the crowd. It worked as the place only had one other couple when we walked in. We were told from the gentleman working the front counter to take a seat wherever we'd like and quickly snatched up a booth near the door. He quickly took our drink order (iced tea for each of us) as we scanned through the large menus deciding what to order. I ended up with the Santiago Scrambled which consist of 3 large eggs, ground beef, green peppers, onions and cheese with a side of salsa, toast and country potatoes. The scramble itself was very nicely put together, had great flavor and was very filling. For only $6.00 I also though the price point was quite good as well as you will often have a hard time finding even an omelette for this price. The country potatoes were also very flavorful although a few bites had a bit too much salt for my liking but overall were a great addition to the dish. My wife went with the Chilaquiles and she also seemed to really enjoy her dish. The service was friendly and as expected the place was filling up by the time we left with regulars. One group seemed a bit annoyed with the fact that someone was in there regular table as they had to get the comment in near the door before taking their seat near the back of the restaurant. Overall we had a great experience and both left full and satisfied with our meals which is all I can ask. It is not a matter of if we come back for more of their breakfast food but when. I for one hope it is soon as this could quite possible be my go to restaurant for weekend breakfast.

My recommendation is you might as well go to Denny's or IHOP , the biscuits and gravy was sent back because it was so awful and the waiter didn't even ask why. Just a low quality joint.

Skip all the chain breakfast places near Disneyland, because this is the best! Came here because of yelp and it certainly didn't disappoint. I ordered the 2-2-2-2 special. 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes. It also included hash browns for $5.99. The food came quickly and the pancakes were the best I ever had. It was fluffy and slightly sweet, but I can't pinpoint what ingredient they use in the batter. This will now be the go to breakfast place when I go to Disneyland and Wondercon. :)

The food was horrible. Both my husband and I could not eat it. Frozen waffles, and how do you mess up a grilled ham and cheese? But I couldn't eat it. The carpet looks like it had been months since vacuumed. Floaters in the water too. We we'll never go again!

Open for July 4th! Now the words "country family cafe" conjure up images of hills on a prairie and genuine American comfort food. While that is partly the case at Country Family Cafe, I think it mostly refers to Mexican country family comfort food. No problemo.... I ordered the Santa Fe scramble for $5.99 - eggs, cheese, chiles, and avocado with buttered wheat toast and hash browns. They were generous with the avocado and it didn't cost extra! The scramble was scrumptious doused in Tabasco - just how I like it. Most of the eggy dishes were the same price, and the table's consensus was that it was a good deal for decent food. Our waiter was amusing and hilarious - told us not to drink too much but that he would be, and also told us to wake up (assuming we all looked tired)! Decor was not significant...just a restaurant. Overall, decent food at decent prices. They do take credit cards. Could come back again.

Food is okay. Price is decent. Star for effort. Service is good. But they definitely cant make hash brown crispy here... instead it come out burnt. Wouldn't recommend if you want crispy hash brown... for my meal I think the pancake is the best... Omelet is good. Too much fat on the bacon... coffee is okay... scramble egg is okay... Place is clean n neat. Quick service and busy. Open kitchen so you can see cook... big screen tv.

This place has great prices and specials. It is definitely a great place to stop after a quick morning trip to Disneyland. This place has to be doing something right because they are also packed after 10am Sunday morning. Don't worry though, they will setup a table for you in the patio. Food is great for the price and I always leave with a smile.

Let me just say! Don't judge this place by its appearance! It's old looking! A little dusty looking, old school register, etc. Bf and I came here before Disneyland because we all know you pay $13 at Disney for a crappy burger . We wanted to have a large decent bfast that's actualy worth paying for before we actually go in! Luckily, yelp brought me here! This is a family owned business. The workers are super nice and do their job! Now the food is sooooooo good! You know when you're full but it tastes so good you want to keep eating? Yup that's pretty much it. And it was so cheap! We paid $25 for two big plates, a side of waffles, orange juice, and coffee! I will definitely be back If I'm ever in the area :)

Delicious food and a cozy atmosphere! It is what it is. The Country Family Cafe lives up to it's name for being a place with good food, service that treats you like family, and nothing stuffy. All the workers are super nice, the food is really good and they've got a wide variety of breakfast and lunch and sides and salads...even a Mexican breakfast menu. Great place for a quick breakfast if you don't want to wait in line for 45 minutes. Service is fast and friendly and the food is good. I usually order corned beef hash and scrambled eggs with a coffee. Country Family Cafe will not disappoint you. If you want a fancy dining experience with mimosas go to Mimi's. This is the place you go to because you're really hungry and you're in no mood to cook your own breakfast because you have a hangover. I will plan to visit them again and soon.

Love their prices! Small, homey environment. When I went there was only one server, one cook, and another employee not serving and cooking but rather restocking. There was about six tables. Seemed really busy for just her but she was very kind and patient. Prices are really low for breakfast compared to all other breakfast places! Food isn't amazing, but I have yet to try their other items on the menu. Maybe my review will change positively after my next visit.

We are glad we stopped here instead of Dennys or McD. Good food, great hospitality, and prices that won't hurt your wallet. We were greeted and seated right away. I got the House Omlet, my wife got the steak and eggs, and my 2 year old had a side of sausages. Overall, I would give this place a strong A-. The only conplaint would be that the restroom looks a bit sketchy. .. but it's not a big deal. The biggest surpised was the bill. It was CHEAP. We expected the bill to be at least $10 more. Thanks for having us for breakfast. We will definitely stop by next time we visit Anaheim.

Solid locals place with hearty local food. Nothing fancy but breakfast is done right. Staff was friendly and took care of us. Chicken fried steak was done right right, real meat lightly fried and covered in sausage gravy, chased with pair sunny side up, and crunchy browns. The pancakes and waffles were oddly sweet without syrup, nevertheless yummy. Great value away from those crazy Mouse prices nearby. Worth a drive. We'll be back next year.

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast, wanting to try somewhere new. Saw this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. It was a great choice. The servers were quick to get our order. Not long after, our food came out. They have a nice open kitchen so you can see them making the food which is nice. Both of our dishes were very good! We would definitely go back if we lived in this area.

Great Little place to come in and have a good enjoyable breakfast! Their customer service is the best and they are very professional. Their food is amazing! I ordered the house omelette and it was amazing. Every bite was so delicious. This place is also close to Disneyland for all those hungry Disney folks visiting Anaheim, this place is great! It's a great little spot, I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good breakfast!:)

My breakfast was soooo good. I had a Florentino scrambled without the ham and a pancake instead of toast. It was fresh and delicious. I'm not too full. The portions were just right. My husband had the Santiago Scrambled and their salsa doesn't have a lot of tomatoes and was perfect. Anytime I'm around Anaheim I will definitely stop by.

On our way up to Disneyland for Christmas Day, my boyfriend's mom wanted us to pick a place to have breakfast. I called a couple places, and surprisingly, this place was open. Now, don't be fooled by their presentation and ambiance, because their food is pretty darn good! They're set up like an old diner, seriously. But their food is amazing. I had the florentine scramble and it was very flavorful. Even came with a side of toast, but I just couldn't eat it all. Their house potatoes are also, very flavorful! I love old mom and pop joints like this. One thing I'd recommend though, is that you ask for any specials that they have -- because after I ordered, only then did I realize that they had specials written down on their whiteboard, but you probably wouldn't pay it any mind if you were in a rush and down right hangry.

As far as breakfast places go, I love this place! First I love the space and the control that it offers the servers. Second I love the small easy menu, full of the perfect choices Third the food is delicious! I had the chicken fried steak with eggs. The chicken fried steak was pounded very thin and very peppered- amazing, I ate the whole thing before touching anything else. The toast was well buttered, and the eggs and hash browns were tasty as well. Best breakfast I've had in Anaheim YTD.

This place is terrible, everyone here has attitudes. I sat with my menu closed for 10-15 mins and was not addressed. If someone has their menu closed, that should be a sign that they are ready to order. Had a group of 5's order taken before mine and I got there 5 mins before then. Never coming here again and I hope you guys don't either.

These guys are great and conveniently located near Disney. The coffee was good, the service was great, and the food was excellent. We were not waiting any longer than 10 minutes for our food to come out. The staff was very friendly as well. We are from San Jose, but we will be back here next time we are in town

Great food, great prices, and fast friendly service. PERFECT place to eat if you're in the area, especially for Disneyland guests since its right around the corner. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable and delicious dining experience.

Excellent alternative to the chains. Country Family Cafe serves generous, well-prepared breakfasts. Mexican dishes seem to be their specialty--the Santiago Scramble was delicious. Service was very friendly and attentive. Only downside--a non-functioning bathroom.

Great service. No waiting for refills. Price is excellent. Great quality food. Very local place, but we were here for Disneyland. Love that Yelp can help you find a good place off the beaten path. Kids meal was just right and all of the rest of us got omelets with hash browns or potatoes. Would do it again.

Came here for a quick breakfast before catching the train. We came with no big expectations. Got the Mom&Pop Diner feel. The tables were all full but we opted to sit at the bar area, where we can watch the cooks. We ordered the chicken fried steak, a chorizo burrito, and the french toast. The portions are huge if you're looking for a filling breakfast. The burrito looked flat, but was decent. I come from SD, where the burritos are huge and amazing. This was just ok, but not terrible. The French toast were decent. I felt like they needed a touch of cinnamon. They were light and fluffy, but just tasted like egg battered bread. The chicken fried steak was a bit tough and the gravy was a touch too peppery. We had a massive amount of food for about $25 with tip. The food was 3 stars, but the service was 4 stars. I felt at home. Everyone was so friendly and worked fast so I could be at the train station early enough. I would recommend coming here if you want a filling, inexpensive breakfast..maybe before disneyland!

Love this place! Every time we're in Anaheim we come here as much as possible! It's delicious and cheap! They have Mexican breakfast and traditional breakfast! The chilaquiles are my favorite! Family of 4 with a coffee and two milks was 24.50! We're stuffed and couldn't even finish our plates!

Great price for a really great, simple meal. Bill consisted of 2 club sandwiches, 2 side salads, 2 unsweetened teas, and a burger and fries to-go, for just over $26. We had enough leftover of the clubs to create another full sandwich. That was ALSO then turned into 2 more meals for lunches. My mom and I need to learn to split meals when we go on our little breakfast, lunch, or dinner dates.

Inexpensive, fast service. They have a variety of American and Mexican breakfasts and brunch items. I had the chorizo and eggs plate, which was good. It's not the prettiest atmosphere, and I wish they served some alcohol. A mimosa would've made my brunch perfect. Definitely a great value.

We tried this little spot while we were in town this past weekend. My hubby had the chorizo breakfast plate. I had the chile verde breakfast plate and my kiddos split the traditional pancake breakfast. The waiters were quite busy, but they were accurate and fast. My plate was really good. The chile verde was awesome, and the homefries were killer. The hubs enjoyed his good as well, for some reason the kids were not eating their food, so I stole Several bites of a pancake and my husband polished off the rest. The pancakes were freakin awesome, they seamed to be seasoned with cinnamon. My only complaint were the tortillas, they tasted like they were store bought, not tortilleria made. Great prices, tasty food, and fast service!

5 Stars -- As you can see with all of my Yelp check-ins here, my family loves coming here when we're in the mood for a solid Mexican-American breakfast fix and this place never fails to satisfy. Their service is quick, friendly, and they're also inexpensive compared to the other breakfast joints in the surrounding Anaheim vicinity. My husband and I always share a large bowl of Menudo and the Chile Verde plate. As for the kids, they love the 2-2-2 Special with a side stack of the yummiest pancakes. I agree with other reviewers that their coffee could use a change but I'm fine with it since it's a huge caffeine cutback from my love of rich Vietnamese black coffee and I need to be weened.

They place is ok for the price but the quality of the food was eh! After my visit here I'm shocked to see people give this place 5 stars. In comparison to Kaye's Kitchen down the street, it's yuck. The place is old but clean. That's the only good thing it's got going. My chicken fried steak was dry and salty. My daughters waffle was plain and nothing special to it. My sister steak was super chewy and unseasoned. Overall, it's worth to drive a few miles away to go to keys kitchen instead. I visited this place because if it's 4 star rating but personally it doesn't deserve it.

  • Rene C.

This place used to be so much better, before new ownership/name change. The food quality was also much, much better. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good place on a budget but for a few extra bucks, spend the money elsewhere. Their "toast" uses bread so small and thin, it's like mini toast. Their eggs are poor quality. I ordered mine over-medium and they cooked them sunny-side up and so I was able to notice the yolk and runny whites of the eggs that indicate poor quality. I will say the service is very good though so that earns a star, otherwise it would be a one-star review.

OMG - this small hole in the wall is the perfect anti-chain or escape from all of the Disney related businesses around. I had some eggs and potatoes, and chilaquiles. It was like being in Mexico with that home-feel. I left stuffed with goodness and a low bill. This place is awesome!

Love this place! I went here for the first time the other day and it is really inexpensive. It's CHEAPER THAN DENNY'S. They have a great mix of American and Mexican breakfasts. Due to Lauren M.'s rave review, I ordered Chilaquiles and was not disappointed. Delish! I like that this place has a very homey feel with their home made selections and open kitchen area. We got to sit at the counter and watch all the guys make the food, so we felt like we were a part of it. Very comfortable, relaxed restaurant with good food. The best part is the CHECK. My boyfriend ordered a bacon, cheese, and avocado omelette that came with hash browns and a side of a bagel and cream cheese; I ordered chilaquiles, which came with beans, home style potatoes and an extra order of avocado= This came out to only $14 something. Dayyyuuummm! Can't beat that! That's usually the price of a meal for one person. I am one happy customer :)

  • Tiffany B.

Adequate. Nothing super special but absolutely worth checking out. Very cheap, fast, and great service. Kids meal beat my expectations. $2.99 for Pancake, egg, sasuage and bacon. My meal was priced at $4.99 and came with three nicely crispy strips of bacon, toast, potatoes and 2 large eggs. Need extra toast? Only $1 more. Most places charge nearly $3!!!!! If your looking for anything aside from a cheap decent place to eat (perhaps wanting to beat the Disneyland or hotel prices?) this place may not be for you! BUT if your staying near Disneyland and are looking for an adequate place to feed your family before entering the park you've hit the jackpot.

I had the florentino scrambled and it was delicious. I love mushroom and spinach scrambled with the eggs. Their country styled potatoes were seasoned perfectly. My boyfriend had the chile verde plate and wow, it was amazing. I'm not usually a big fan of bean sides or beans in my food but I could eat their beans for a long while! It's soo good. The chile verde is a definite must try. Their sauce is amazing. We will be coming back to try new menu options! Also, service is awesome. They are so courteous, friendly and kind. It's a great mom-pop business that I would support over and over again. It's a cozy restaurant with AMAZING food.

A 4 star review of this restaurant causes me to really question Yelp! This place was gross! The food was completely underwhelming but really cheap and a lot of it! My chorizo looked like burned cat food and tasted just as delicious. The Service was fast and friendly but the place felt dirty and greasy. To be fair, my friends thought the chili verde was'fine" but I wiould never come back, that's for sure!

Once again, yelp has not failed me for finding a place to eat. My man and I were hungry, and after weeks of going to Paul's Place on the weekends for breakfast, we decided to try something new, and we through yelp, I found the Country Family Cafe. We went at around 10:30 or so on a Saturday, and the place was pretty much full, but luckily, there was one booth available for us. I was happy that there was no wait. We were both starving, and eager to order. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and sourdough toast. The hash was standard and came from a can, as expected, but it was very nicely crisped on the outside while still retaining the flavor and texture of the corned beef on the inside. The hash browns needed a lot of salt, pepper, and tabasco, but most do. Their sourdough toast was very dry, I'm thinking they probably used old bread; however, it was lathered up with butter, and it did taste quite good. Overall, I really enjoyed my food and I cleaned my plate. Their tap water tasted off though, and next time I go there, I will definitely be getting some iced tea instead. I can see this becoming a regular breakfast spot for me.

I love this place! Great food and my favorite...cheap! Family of 4 for under $30 for breakfast worth double. Looks family owned and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Its close to Disneyland which is why we went.

We were looking for a simple café for breakfast and found this based on Yelp reviews. Loved it! This is not a fancy café. This is clean, simple, home-style cooking--mostly American and Mexican style dishes. The place is owned by a Hispanic family. The patrons were an equal mix of Hispanics and non-Hispanics, more locals than visitors. I had the chilaquiles with over-easy eggs and beans. So good! Chilaquiles are corn chips or fried and broken corn tortillas, sautéed in a tomato/chile sauce (of varying spiciness), sprinkled with diced onions, and maybe some cheese and eggs. These were served without eggs and some cheese. They were so crisp and moist at the same time. The sauce with onions and cheese were so nice together. They were freshly made. The eggs (over easy) were fresh and cooked to oozing, golden, juicy perfection. The beans were freshly made, and they were creamy and only had a small amount of cheese to accent their creaminess. This was a great choice. My family had the typical American b-fast fare, chicken fried steak and eggs, waffles and eggs with bacon, pancakes, etc. They were each deliciously prepared. One thing I liked was that there were several small veggie and fruit markets down the road. I could see their smaller open-view refrigerator in the main room. It was filled with fresh eggs, freshly made corn tortillas, fresh fruits, fresh cheeses, fresh milk, etc. You could tell they made their stuff from fresh, local produce. My type of place. Great choice. Good prices, relatively prompt, very friendly service.

This place looked so promising, unfortunately it fell very short of what I had hoped. To his credit, our waiter was really nice and friendly. The "orange juice" tasted like a mix between Tang and Sunny D, neither of which is actually orange juice. I had the Chilaquiles, which was basically soggy nachos with a side of beans and eggs. I'm not sure if anyone told them what Chilaquiles actually was or if they just took their own artistic interpretation of the dish, but either way it was awful. My boyfriend had the Santa Fe scramble with sourdough and a side pancake. The scramble was ok, but unfortunately they dumped like a 1/2 cup of pico de gallo on top of it and was too overpowering to eat. The "sourdough" toast was literally white bread; sourdough is NOT just white bread. His pancake looked okay, but the underside was black, like someone forgot about it and then smelled something burning. All in all this place was not good at all and I am curious how it could possibly be rated so highly. Maybe one day I will find a good place to eat in this area, but so far I am 0 for 4.

We came here on a vacation to disney land. we stayed in a hotel but woke up pretty late so the restaurant in the hotel was closed. we drove around looking for breakfast/brunch places and found this place. the food was good there weren't many options, but enough to satisfy me. the thing that bothered me, was that the refrigerator where they keep the eggs and juice etc. was in the middle of the restaurant not in the walk way but it was just there.

We are staying at the Marriott Anaheim and got tired of the hotel food. Saw this place online and tried it. First, they place is super clean and you an see the kitchen is also clean. Sure, it's an older building, but it's in good shape. My husband got the chile verde, I got the chilaquiles and my kids shared the French toast combo...it was all great! The guy working the front was really nice to our family! It seems like a local favorite in an area that has a lot of chains...we were really glad to give it a try!

We went here because it was the closest 4 star breakfast joint to the hotel we were staying. First, let me say the food wasn't bad. However, the service was so bad I started wondering if we were being discriminated against. We ordered our drinks and were brought coffee when we didn't order any. I ordered the huevos rancheros and was asked if I wanted flour or corn tortillas. I asked for corn and he jokingly said, "flour right"? I smiled, but he actually brought me flour. I don't know if this is their thing, but I found a slice of green pepper rolled in with the tortillas. Just weird and felt like a mistake. My friend ordered a waffle and saw that the cook try to make another one because they burnt the first. Then saw the server (could've been owner or manager) tell the cook it was ok and he brought it to our table. The waffle was obviously burnt and he tried to ask us if we wanted a "crispy" waffle. He brought us our check and as we were sitting there he grabbed my plate and asked, "you're done right"? Well, I guess I was since you're already taking my plate away! This experience was so terrible it made me question the validity of the ratings on yelp.

I came here on a brunch date, we kind of just randomly searched for it on Yelp. The entrance/waiting "area" (there really isn't one) is slightly awkward. There isn't any signage asking you to "Wait to Be Seated," so it left me confused as to whether I am supposed to just grab an empty table or seat at the bar? It's also very small! When we went, it was crowded, but not overwhelmingly so. We waited about 3 minutes before a table opened up. I had a veggie omelet with egg whites, a side of fruit, and dry whole wheat toast (yes, very healthy, judge me). The boy had the 2.2.2 special... which was two pieces of sausage, bacon, eggs, and pancakes. We both had coffee. The food was good, but not outrageously so. Similar to past reviews: for the price, it is good. The service was good, and the wait time was good. I hate being so bland with my review, but there just wasn't a whole lot to it. I would eat there again though, it has kind of a diner-esque feeling to it.

This place has great breakfast and the prices are really cheap. My husband and I had a full breakfast each and was out of there for under $20.00. We will totally go back.

It's ok for the price. But the food is average and they need to put more fries with the burgers.

Came again last week, everything was great. no changes to report. This time I had the ham and cheese omelette with cheddar/jack instead of american-I hate american cheese. My omelette was cooked perfectly. My mom had the same ol' chile verde and my daughter had a hot dog and fries. Everything was great and our bill was under $15. It was a good day.

  • Kasey F.

Yes, the prices are great. Aside from that, I think Country Family Cafe is a bit overrated. It's reeeaallllly small inside and if you go on the weekends, be prepared to wait for 15-20 minutes. There isn't a host/hostess and when I went there was some confusion as to which of the other parties got there first. An older lady saw a family leave so she sat down, but then she was told that she wasn't next and had to get back up and wait for 5 more minutes. Not good service guys, it needs to be a lot more clear who is next. Taking names on a clipboard isn't that difficult. When we were finally seated we looked over the large menus and made our decisions. I got an omelette with avocado, cheese, tomato, and onion. It came with hashbrowns and toast, and it was good. My cousin said the chicken fried steak was more like carne asada with gravy on it, and not really breaded, but that it still tasted good. My dad said the biscuits and gravy didn't have enough gravy on them and the biscuits were a little burnt. I tried the french toast and it was similar to what I could make at home. None of the food was BAD, but it was only worth the cheap prices we paid. Conclusion? I would go back during the week if I wanted a decent breakfast made for me on a budget.

This place was exactly what I needed after getting gouged for a few days at Disneyland. The food is fresh, and prepared quickly. But the best part is that it was a great value for the quality food. I had their Chile Verde and Eggs and it was quite delicious.

I went there today with my husband because of the ratings... Not sure if everyone that has rated this place are regulars and are somewhat partial to It but let me say... It was just ok. Service was mediocre and the food wasn't anything to rave about. I ordered the chile verde and eggs. It had a kick of spice which I like but the potatoes were extremely salty and inedible. The pork was tough and chewy. Beans tasted like they came out of a can. My husband ordered the chili cheese omelette and was somewhat disappointed also. The biscuits and gravy are unlike any we have seen before. Although they looked strange- the flavor was there. I would have to say that the biscuits and gravy were the best out of the meal. The coffee tasted burnt and my husband had to wait not only for a straw for his iced tea for several minutes when he finished drinking it for a refill he had to wait forever again. Service can definitely be improved. Needless to say I will not be going back.

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast. It's a mix of Mexican and American style food. It's a small place and usually only has one server but he is efficient and helpful. They have a very hot Habanero sauce that you have to specially ask for and it's amazing! I would highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for quiet, home cooked feel for breakfast.

  • Courtnay L.

Chilaquiles is what to get. Huge plates. Chili verde was good too. These guys make some GOOD down home Mexican food. If you're going to Disneyland you need to stop here for breakfast. We took home some tamales, which were also good but needed salt.

For the price the food was great, $25 + tip for family of 3, good if not counting the price. Short drive from our Disneyland hotel and easy parking. My wife loved the chorizo & eggs. Waiter was nice with prompt service.

This places sux! I spend almost $20 bucks on the worst breakfast I've ever had in my life! Me and my bf went here to try and support local business but it was awful. I got the waffle combo that came with one waffle that was gross...no flavor...2 sausages...and literally the smallest portion of eggs I've ever had in my life. My bf got the omelet which was ok but not impressive or really tasty. NEVER coming back here again...honestly don't understand how they're even open!

  • Ian D.

At the recommendation of the waiter I order chilaquiles. I also ordered coffee, OJ and a side of sausage. Here's the DL..... The chilaquiles were pretty tasty. I added some tapatio to spice it up. For those who don't know what chilaquiles are, think of softened breakfast style nachos with cheese, eggs and beans. The home style potatoes were decent. OJ was not fresh squeezed, but OK. Unfortunately, the sausage was flavorless and the coffee was terrible. Portions were good size and the pricing was really reasonable. I got out of their for $11 including tip. The service was prompt, the food came out quickly and was cooked properly. Atmosphere is not the best, a bit drabby. Based on the exceptional value and the tastiness of the chilaquiles, I was tempted to give this place 4 stars. However, coffee and sausage are two breakfast staples and I just can't do it given how bad they were.

Excellent chorizo burrito! Service was very good, very nice people who work here. The place could use a remodel, cafe looks a little outdated. Considering the options in Anaheim, I was quite surprised and impressed by this place.

The AMOC omelette with potatoes and toast was excellent. My brother got the country fried steak and eggs. The gravy was runny but the steak tasted homemade and yummy. Dad got chorizo and eggs with corn tortilla and beans but couldn't finish it. Hardest working waiter/host/cook but service is fast! Food is so cheap, you'd expect smaller portion sizes but not so! I would visit again.

Really good cheap place to eat. Has a 70s feeling going about it. It looked like they had a couple of regulars. Pretty full when we came in yesterday morning. Have sandwiches/burgers but their all about their breakfast. Mexican/American cuisine. I have the crane. It was delicious. Wasn't as plentiful as I thought but kept my full. Came with carne/pico/tortilla/beans/Spanishrice. If I ever go to disneyland again ill be sure to stop by

The brother of the owner asked politely if he could go help this elderly patron to his car before he took our order. Enough said... Would always recommend and support this place! Oh food is very good as well...

I've been coming to this place for over 5 years.. The owners are really nice and they are really a family owned business. The tasteful food for a great price. Just be prepared to wait during the weekends.

Went for breakfast today...NOT impressed. I had the Sausage, eggs and Hash Browns. The Eggs were bland, the Hash Browns were Mushy and the Sausage was cold and overcooked and the Toast was BARELY Toasted... They weren't busy so I'm not sure why the food was so so. Won't be going there again!!!

I enjoyed their chilaquiles, great mexican-american food joint tucked in Anaheim. Super friendly waiters/owner, they give you huge amount of food here. Be ready to get a food coma.

So I decided to Yelp breakfast to see if I could find a nice mom and pop shop in my area and found Country Family Café. I can honestly say I found my new breakfast place. Slow service, but that can be blamed on the fact that it got really busy moments after we arrived. They went from having a handful of customers to a full restaurant. The place is self seating. Their coffee is ok, nothing special; I was not a fan of that. The food though was fantastic, homemade; pancakes are super light n fluffy. Perfect portions. Cheap. And they are only open for lunch n breakfast. I will definitely be going here again and maybe have the OJ instead of coffee.

This place is small, so it is a hit or miss if you could find a seat. The price is cheap and have a variety of breakfast option. I got the chorizo burrito and my husband got the corn beef hash plate. Great place for breakfast.

Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a shot based on the reviews here. On vacation for Disneyland we were getting a bit tired of typical chain (Denny's, IHOP, Coco's) breakfast food and wanted to try something slightly different and local. Country Family Cafe is stationed in a nondescript strip mall few blocks away from Disney. The ambiance and decor are totally old school and bare bones: there is hardly anything except the paint on the wall. The smell of bacon and coffee will make you forget the lack of any interior design very quickly though as soon as you step in....The menu is very good for breakfast with Mexican style breakfast dishes taking significant space on it. We ordered coffees, some kids meals (pancakes, bacon, eggs), eggs with chorizo, and corned beef hash. Everything came out fast and was delicious and inexpensive. The service was attentive but not obtrusive. I can easily see this place becoming my go-to breakfast joint anytime i am in Anaheim area. Highly recommended.

yelp... you let me down on this one... The food is average at best nothing to sing praises about. I had the huevos rancheros and the sauce was overwhelming too much onion or something. The beans were just ok. My husband had the chicken fried steak and it was boring. The waffle was a bit of a fail too, super dense/thick not light at all. You can definitely find a better breakfast elsewhere...

Oh we're back. After a year and a half hiatus from Disneyland, my wife and I decided to SACRIFICE and purchase 5 passes for 2014. Everyone knows food at Disneyland is "Mickey Mouse". What a gem of a family restaurant we found here. First assisted by the almighty Zora, then yelp and wallah breakfast time! This place reminds me of them old school joints from the 80's. Food and service was great, prices were even better. Forgot what we ordered but sure it was the lick. Headed back this morning hoping its as good as last time. Review coming up. Peace.

Such great food for an amazing price! Food came out super quickly after ordering and had great flavor and a good amount of food. I got the Chilaquiles and eggs which was fantastic. Get a side of their homemade salsa because it is fresh and great. Everything looked delicious, and I bet it was. Servers were nice and attentive and you can't beat the price for the food.

If you are looking for just a small place to get breakfast this place is perfect. Nothing fancy, no fancy decor or menu items, just the regular breakfast menu and friendly family service. Don't let the plain exterior and bland interior steer you away, the food is good, the service is great and the prices are low. Doesn't get too busy, parking lot a bit annoying since you share it with a bar and other convenience area, but again, its just a nice sit down breakfast without the frills!

This is our 2nd time here. My wife and I like it because it's fast, friendly, and the good tastes homemade! The prices are within out budget which also helps us out as well.

Service was very fast, could see kitchen and them cooking from the seating area - very clean. Friendly wait staff, good hot food. We both ordered the heuvos rancheros , which came with beans and tortillas. My eggs were cooked perfectly.

My fiancé and I found this place on yelp & the first thing we tried were the pancake combo which he loved, and I got the country deluxe which is two eggs scrambled w/ country potatoes, diced ham, green peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, avocado & cheese (I got no mushrooms or tomatoes) it was so tasty. The prices are so affordable for such great tasting food. They give you a lot aswell. The waiters are super nice. All and all, we are glad we found this place. Definitely going to keep coming back

Everything you need in a diner breakfast: fast, cheap, and delicious! And as an added bonus, the service is friendly and attentive. They bought the kids' food first (I love it when they do that-- seems the family owned places just know how to keep hungry babies happy!) The eggs and chile verde is excellent! The hash and eggs is good, too. Breakfast for 4 under $25, and in and out in under an hour! We will definitely be back!

Service is good. Heads up- I ordered Huevos Rancheros and they came with a heated tortilla under the eggs, not a tostada- was not too happy about that.

  • Serena S.

Thanks to Yelpers, we found this welcome respite from the 'food' options at Disneyland and hotels. If you're looking for solid food at reasonable prices, just go slightly off the beaten track to this no nonsense, family run diner. The best part is that they have all your standards - pancakes, waffles, omelettes - and also some delicious mexican specialties - chilaquiles, machaca, burritos. The servings are huge - my daughter's 'junior pancake' came with a 5" pancake, 1 scrambled egg and 2 slices of bacon. My chilaquiles came with hash browns and refried beans in addition to 2 eggs. The staff is very friendly - we were offered coffee refills before our mugs even got down below 1/3. Our family of 4 paid $28 in total - pretty much the cost of 1 breakfast at our hotel.

    (4)
  • Denali D.

Everything was just okay. When we got there there was no place to sit so we sat at the bar. Chilaquiles were not the traditional Mexican kind. That was the biggest disappointment.

Great breakfast! Wonderful flavor. Reasonable, most definitely will return when I'm next in Anaheim!

  • Franklin C.

This place was okay. Service was good. Place is small and was packed. I had the huevos rancheros. The layer tortilla wasn't crispy like I'm used to having them. I would go again to try something different as I love breakfast. ..

  • Zak P.

I will start out by saying the food is well worth the price. It was cooked well, served hot and very very reasonable pricing. The service was pretty bad. The location was busy and upon arrival I was not greeted or made aware that it is "seat yourself". The waitress and either the owner/manager saw me a couple of times and finally said oh there's a table in a the back. We sat down and ordered. Service was slow but I expected it being so busy. I had a sausage breakfast burrito and it was very tasty. We were dropped off a check with no thank you , and when we paid no exit greeting. If you don't have high expectations for service and just want to eat good cheap food this is the place to go.

I would've given 5 stars but the interior needs some work. Got the house omelette w with house fries and it was pretty damn tasty...and cheap! Nice diamond in the rough.

Good food at a great value just around the corner from Disneyland. BF and I are annual passholders and like to beat the morning traffic from SD to Anaheim so we leave early and like to grab breakfast outside the tourist trap to avoid mediocre food and high prices. This place was everything we wanted. Good, honest food cooked by nice guys for a really reasonable price. Leaving after breakfast for about $15 including tip with full bellies is a great way to spend a Disney day. Thanks for a great meal.

We ate at this mom & pop diner before a day at Knott's Berry Farm. The food was delicious and filling at very reasonable prices (4 meals with drinks came to about $30). The service was excellent, and despite the small size, we were seated promptly at about 9:30 AM on a Sunday. The chilaquiles and the shredded beef and egg dish were exceptionally good.

This place is small but the food is excellent and so was the service. A must If in the area!

    (5)
  • Ryan C.

Very good food, at a more than reasonable price. Service was satisfactory. The only real downside I saw was the space. It really is a place to have breakfast or lunch for 2. We were a party of 4 and squeezing into the booth left virtually no elbow room, but it wasn't unbearable. Again I must reiterate, the food was very good, and I think everyone ordered a variation of a Mexican breakfast. Will certainly be returning, because you can't find good food at these prices often.

  • Jc G.

Good food. Actually great food. I paid $38 including a $5 tip for three adult meals and two children's meals. Clean place, no wait and friendly staff. Try the deluxe scramble!

  • Vivien T.

I had high hopes for this place since it had 4 stars but the food was whatevers. It's true that everything here, you can just make at home. You have to seat yourselves. I got the ham breakfast burrito and the french toast combo. The french toast wasn't even thick and it was really greasy. The tortilla in the ham burrito was really hard to bite into. My boyfriend's biscuit and gravy was burnt. Overall I wish I went somewhere else to eat because I was still hungry. Only upside was that we had a nice server and the meal was cheap.

    (2)
  • Krystina M.

I frequently order for the child's menu with no problem from most restaurants, This one however said I could absolutely not and the waiter said it very condescendingly, I only ordered a Orange Juice which tasted funny and their cooler that was in the dinning area had tampico! They should really specify if they have tampico instead of orange juice. IT IS NOT THE SAME THING! My boyfriend ordered chicken fired steak and biscuits and gravy. The gravy was extremely watery and there was no breading on the what they called steak. He also got chili verde and the meat was the wrong type and it wasn't cooked in chili, it just have green salsa on top! They should really focus on the very basic breakfast foods like cereal... or oatmeal... cause how can you go wrong with that!

  • Scott S.

Country Family Cafe is far from flashy but they have some good basic breakfast food. The restaurant is located just minutes away from Disney in a small shopping center. This place definitely classifies as a breakfast dive, because of the atmosphere and great prices. Like many small restaurants of its genre, Country Family Cafe is primarily a breakfast place and closes by early afternoon. I recommend this place to anyone who lives close by and to those visiting Disney. You probably won't be wowed but you will get a good meal. And hey, the entire family will eat well for the price of some cotton candy and a drink at Disney.

Visiting Disneyland with teenagers. It goes without saying that they were hungry and the wait at Storyteller's Café at the Grand Californian was too long. We enjoyed a fantastic breakfast with great service for about 40% of what we would have paid at a Disneyland restaurant and we didn't have to valet park the car.

If you're spending time in the Anaheim area and don't want to get gouged for a 5 dollar Mickey bagel. come down to the Country family Cafe. Its about 2 miles for the Disney resort and if you're off -property go and check this place out. They have great American fare as well as their Mexican fare. Bacon and Eggs, Great And the Menudo comes with all the accouterments. Its also cheap and easy and it was under $30 for 3 big breakfasts. Cheapo and Awesome!

  • Melissa L.

No frills - Simply good food, good service and excellent prices! It looked like a small, family-owned diner. The most expensive thing on the breakfast menu was $9.99 steak and eggs! Everything else was around the $5.50 range. We were seated immediately on a Sunday morning at 10:30am, service was very friendly and quick. Highly recommend!

Great food and low prices. Excellent service. Don't think this is just some place serving eggs and pancakes, they have Mexican items on the menu such as machaca and menudo. I've visited twice two days in a row for breakfast and was very happy with Country Family Cafe.

How does anyone give this place 4 or 5 stars!? I was looking for a good whole in the wall kinda place to eat early saturday morning, I didn't want Denny's, Carrows or any other boring, gross restaurants. I seen this spot on yelp which had good reviews, not to many, but I thought it was worth checking out. It smelled good when we walk in, the staff was courteous and inviting. We ordered two waffle combos and one huevos rancheros plate. The waffles were extremely DRY and uneatable, they tasted as if they were sitting out all night and got thrown in the toaster to warm up, I mean they were just plain gross. Very gritty also, I don't know what kind of batter they used but it was terrible. They give you two pieces of bacon, one was burned but I ate it anyway. I asked for my eggs over medium and apparently he didn't know what that meant because that's not how I got them. Sadly the second waffle combo was just as bad. The huevos ranchero plate unfortunately wasn't very good either, the beans were COLD the salsa looked and tasted like Pace, the only descent item on the plate were the potatoes. Since the waffles didn't get eaten they took them off the bill. Over all this place is GROSS and not the great whole in the wall I was hoping to discover on our way to Disneyland. I hate leaving bad reviews but I do NOT want anyone else going into this place expecting a great authentic American/Mexican breakfast, IT IS NOT!! If a restaurant is good, it's good all the time not just on some days.

I love this place!! Been coming here since I was like 10 (I'm 23 now). The servers are so nice and attentive. The cook is also super nice. The food is the bomb too! I always get the country deluxe which comes with country potatoes, avocado, cheese, and eggs. So GOOD! I think I've tried pretty much everything on their menu and it's all been delicious!! However, I haven't tried the menudo, but I will!

  • Lauren M.

This place is the best when it comes to homey comfort food. Whether it's Mexican or American, they do it right. I personally love their Chilaquiles plate. It hits the spot. Not too spicy, not too filling. I come here and leave feeling so satisfied and never spend too much money. The staff is so friendly! I hadn't returned to the restaurant for over a year and the waiter STILL remembered my name. It was shocking, but a reminder of how good they are at what they do.

  • Prudence D.

incredibly reasonable!.. ex: bacon, eggs, toast, hashbrowns..$3.99 had sausage & eggs (3 links), nice portions. country potatoes are small diced potatoes w/onion and diced, crunchy bellpepper, moist and flavorable! didn't need to add salt! if i lived closer, i would be a regular.

My fiance took me here for our second date 6 years ago and we've been coming here ever since. Luis, the waiter is always welcoming and knows us by name. It's small and resembles a hole in the wall, but the food is downright comforting and delicious. I almost always get the chile verde pork breakfast that comes with your choice of flour/corn tortillas, country potatoes, 2 eggs, and beans for 6 bucks! The chilaquiles here are amazing - comes with eggs, beans, and potatoes. Coffee here is excellent - not burned or stale like some diners. The menu offers a variety of different breakfast/lunch fare - all of it very reasonably priced. They also have specials written on a white board by the entrance and on the walls. The place is great for families - and if there are a lot of you, there is outdoor seating. The only thing is they close EARLY - 2pm everyday.

If you are in Anaheim for Disneyland and looking to not pay an outrageous price for breakfast, drive a few miles down Katella to Euclid and check out this place. We fed our whole family a delicious breakfast for about what it cost to order 2 muffins, a banana and coffee at our hotel. This is a small family-run place with both traditional American and traditional Mexican breakfast items on the menu. A kids' meal consisting of one egg, one pancake, one slice of bacon and one sausage link is only $2.99. My husband and I both ordered Mexican breakfasts and were very happy, while the kids did the usual pancake thing. We fed our family of four, including drinks, for $27. The food was good, too. Recommended!

I visit Country Family Cafe on my lunch breaks and I love it! The family that owns it is really nice and they're very friendly. It's a nice family oriented atmosphere and they usually have their children there. I personally love their tuna melt. It is delicious! It is relatively inexpensive and it isn't crowded. I love this place!

Nice little place, was empty but the food was great and cheap. I was very pleased when I went there. I was on vacation and just used yelp to find a nice breakfast place in the area. I was very pleasantly surprised when I went here.

  • Doug R.

Good value for the money is how I'd describe this little hole in the wall. I had the Santa Fe eggs with a side of sausages, and it was good...and good value. It's never going to compete with a 5 star, nor should it. It is what it is...good value.
