Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I love olive garden in most places. This one is by far the worst I've ever seen. The hostes started an argument with my mother in law when she asked how much longer our wait would be. I and many other couldn't believe our eyes. All we got was an apology from the waitress. Are you kidding me!! Where was the manager or someone to take the girl down a peg or two. I will never visit this location again. By the way I hate writing bad reviews.

This is certainly not my first visit to an Olive Garden, but it was the first to this store. I am not Italian and don't know a lot about Italian food, so I know that true believers probably think I'm nuts for rating a huge chain with five stars. I do know what I like, and I liked this store. The interior is laid out a little differently from others I have been in, a little more divided into more intimate areas. We had six for dinner during snowbird season but were quickly seated. Our server Christine was one of the friendliest, efficient and attentive servers we have encountered in recent memory. She did spend a lot of time at the beginning pushing the wine, but that is house rules and I understand why they do it. In fairness, the table did end up finishing a large bottle of red wine. The menu is standard, corporate Olive Garden, but pretty comprehensive. I had the lobster cannelloni and it was excellent. Lots of real lobster, the chunks were big enough to actually identify, and a rich cheese and cream sauce. The dish also had a handful of bay shrimp which were also surprisingly good and not overcooked like most small shrimp are. Several people had soup and raved about the taste. I stuck with the house salad and yummy bread sticks. Big chain, cookie cutter food, but excellent cookie cutter food served by nice people in a nice atmosphere. I am not enough of a food snob to not appreciate the meal, even if it's not "authentic."

January 18,2013 We went to OG and sat in the bar area we were served by an out standing server Sheena. The food was out standing and good in every way . We celebrated a birthday and enjoyed the service and the food.

Pretty consistent with their customer service. Probably the best chain restaurant for a date here in Yuma.

Thanks Sergio and your team. We had our work Christmas party there. The food and service were great .

We wanted to go to a decent restaurant for our wedding-dinner...! =) First of all I need to mention that the staff was really friendly and they seemed to enjoy their work at the Olive Garden. The waitress was also really nice and even brought us some champagne to celebrate out BIG DAY!! After the dinner the restaurant manager came to our table to make sure we enjoyed the dinner and he also gave us his best wishes - which was really nice! I would definitely recommend this place! The food was delicious, the staff was nice and the atmosphere was also really enjoyable! The prices are somewhat higher than other restaurants in Yuma, but the service is sure worth the extra dime!!! Looooooooove Olive Garden Yuma!!!!!

Not bad. Had to sit at the bar since it was so busy. Food came out hot and my drink stayed topped off.

I love Olive Garden. I have yet to have a single bad experience at any Olive Garden I've ever been to...and believe me, I've been to more than my fair share of Olive Gardens. We went there this past Saturday (April 21) and every staff member we encountered was professional and friendly. Our server was Mishelle, and she was outstanding. We knew, of course, that the food was going to be good, but this particular Olive Garden has set itself apart by its standards of service alone. The restaurant was very busy, yet we never had to wait for anything. If our server was assisting another table, one of her coworkers would come to our table to clear plates or touch up our drinks. All in all, this was a fantastic experience, and I can't say enough positive things about this location.

I'm a fan of Olive Garden, so I liked this restuarant. The service was excellent, as our waiter Alfredo was on top of his game. Would definately go back.

Olive Garden!! Home of all-you-can-eat salad and breaksticks!! Nice restaurant, good service, great food. Well sort of. We got seated right away, good. From there it was somewhere between okay and good. The server was really nice ! Just forgetful. Remember the good old days of O.G. where everyone got salad & breadsticks included with the meal? Not anymore, only high end meals come with it. Fine. We paid extra so everyone could have it. We got 1/2 bowl of salad for 4 people and 1 breadstick each instead of a full bowl and a basket of breadsticks. Disappointing. We polished off the first bowl right away but the server didn't come around for awhile. Still hadn't seen the wine we ordered. When we finally got salad/bread refill, dinner came 3 minutes later. Sigh. I had the 'pick 3' entree thing; mushrooms were awesome, calimari was good, and the baked ravioli (dipping sauce on the side) were dry and chewy). I'll more than likely return (sometime) but I'll stick to their yummy pastas cooked in some kind of sauce. Hopefully it'll come with salad.

I am OBSESSED with Olive Garden!!! I love their all you can eat soup and salad lunch special. The pasta fagoili (no idea how to spell this) soup and the cold cold salad are my favorite. And the bread sticks...OMG. I was just visiting Yuma when I went to this location...and our waitress Nuri was so sweet. She told us about local places to go and even gave us directions. Not only was the service great, but she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome not only in the restaurant, but in the town. Thats rare if you ask me. At the end of the day, I was full of soup, salad, and bread sticks and really happy about having another wonderful experience at an Olive Garden location.

After being to this Olive Garden several times now, I can affirm that it is just as good as any branch. I like Olive Garden even more after I got a tip from Victoria's review that you can order off the lunch menu at dinner. You pay less, still get the soup or salad & breadsticks, and don't have to over-eat! I've also always loved their all-you-can eat soup & salad for lunch!

What???? 4 stars from a foodie??? Yes. And I'll tell you why..... First of all Yuma has no decent restaurants if you have even a bit of a sophisticated palate, this is really the only game in town. Believe me - I know...I Yelped til I was blue in the face and cross-eyed. But for Yuma - here is why I gave the Olive Garden 5 stars. Wine list- decent and inexpensive, however pours are small so I think a bottle may be a better way to go. Fresh and crisp salad - as much as you want. Good selection of typical Italian fare at a reasonable price. Excellent service from an experienced waitress. Gluten free selections. And- this is big for me - whole wheat pasta that you can substitute for any type of pasta. So, while it's not a 5 star SF Italian spot- for what it is it deserves the 5 stars.

This was my first time visiting an Olive Garden. I'll preface my review by stating that I've spent several years in the New York/New Jersey area so I'm very familiar with quality Italian food and have a strong bias to quality. First, the service and the establishment were in fine order, no problems there. I had some fu-fu drink which was good. I then had the sausage and potato soup which was very good. I then had the chicken parm sandwhich and boy was that awful. I mean it was the worst chicken parm I've ever had. Burger King's chicken parm is far better (actually quite good). The other people in my group had the calzones which looked really cheap. All of the entrees just appeared cheap. I don't know any other word to describe it. If you think this is good Italian, you'd never want to leave New Jersey. I'll never return to Olive Garden unless if was for the soup and salad only.

Was in Yuma to watch the Yuma Scorpions play baseball in the Arizona Winter League. Had dinner at Olive Garden in the Yuma Palms Shopping area. Which was right by our Hotel (Hampton Inn). Parking lot by Olive Garden was full, but we found a stall in about 10 minutes. Place was packed around 6:00 PM and we waited 45 minutes for our table. Sample were offered while we waited, I thought that was very nice of them. Food server offered a sample of wine, very interesting. Wine was awful. Food was great. There were 5 of us and every one enjoyed their food. The service was not so good. We had to ask for things like water and soda refills. On leaving the restaurant around 8:45 PM noticed still had a crowd of people waiting. Wow, Business is good in Yuma. Another no-no was that when we left after dinner as we walked out of the restaurant there was no Host or Hostess up front to tell us thank you for dinning at Olive Garden. I always expect a host or manager to thank me when I am a guest at their establishment, I am old fashioned on this point. Being busy or even smashed is no excuse to not say thank you for your business and come back again... Great Food, not so good service.

Been here several times and have always been happy with the service & food.

LOCATION & PARKING: East of Interstate, at the Yuma Palms Mall. Left (North) on 16th Street, through the main entrance. A quick right, than another quick right. Start looking for a parking spot it gets filled up quick, even the handicapped spots. They also have 'pick up/take home food parking. SERVICE: Over all good. Above average to excellent, depends on your server. Best server I have had experience with and still works there, Tracy (pleasant, down to earth, accommodating, fresh, sweet and smart)....Tracy left to Phoenix...now my favorite is Darla!! TIME: Don't be in a hurry, this is leisure dining. Fine with children, better with ages of, oh say 4+. I only say this, because I know they get bored from sitting there coloring, I did!!! when my mom dragged me to restaurants and I had to sit there and they would... yap, yap, yap, blah, blah, blah (Ooops, I hope my Mom doesn't read this). Otherwise, sit back, enjoy wine or dessert. If "no", have a few wine tastings, "free", the magic word, I love it!! They don't mind. One of the ways you might leave sooner is if you go at lunch (in a group), call your orders in, tell them you are on a time restraint, all you have to do is "ask". (-: ACCOMODATIONS: Good for the value. Obviously everyone likes it, standing room only every weekend. Very nice restrooms, updated and clean, good job guys. FOOD: Quality and taste, for the price, good!! If you have an issue with "anything" they are willing to fix it, "all you have to do is ask". They always fix it, just need to be willing to ASK. *Note: For those of us that have traveled to Italy have friends that have cooked authentic Italiano, come on you guys, give them a chance, it might be hit or miss for you, but it depends on what you order and the cook "does" take special requests, for your specials likes. All you have to do is "ask". CONCLUSION: Olive Garden, you have a great thing going. Let's get your staff to pass along your perks.... 1) When you are waiting for a table, have a drink from the bar and they can transfer it to your dinner ticket and you do "NOT" have to tip twice, yay! 2) You can order off the lunch menu, ANYTIME, yay! 3) You can have up to three wine tastings and "not" obligated to buy the wine, we all know you are going to have one "sooner or later", yay! 4) Made to order. Order it the way you like it, even the smallest things. For example, I order my salad with "everything on the side", including the dressing. The servers don't mind, because I tell her/them I will make it worth it for them in the tip. PERK: You can order off the "lunch menu", any time (ssshh it's less expensive, & a slightly smaller portion) Better on the pocket book and on the waistline. WIN- WIN, woo hoo!!.. All you have to do is "ask", see what I'm getting at (= Signed: "Vic the Yelper" that wants a bang for her buck!!

what more can you ask for at an olive garden. cheap food, large portions, unlimited soup and salad, fair service. I got the lunch time fettuccine and it came with unlimited soup. Chicken Gnocchi soup was delicious. Nice friendly service. The girl was new but was fun and helpful in helping us decide what we wanted.
(4)Lety L.
This is like all other Olive Gardens. The food is good & the ambience is great if you don't have to wait in line forever. It tends to get crowded in the Winter time here so you just need to plan ahead.
(3)Steve C.
Great service. Dylan S was very attentive and professional. Probably best service i have ever had.
(5)Monica V.
They didnt make us feel welcome to the Restaurant... The hostess ( latin girl with a pony tale, black hair) was so mean... I wont come back to this restaurant......
(1)Reina P.
Outstanding service. My server Ericka was so awesome! She was always smiling and good with refills, seriously as soon as my glass was half empty she would fill it with fresh peach Bellini. I had my favorite, lasagna frita and smoked mozzarella chicken on fettucini. It was made perfectly. I was impressed with this olive garden, especially Ericka, she made the OG experience great. The atmosphere was lovely.
(5)Paul J.
If you are going here you already know it's a chain. That's good because it's consistent and bad because it may not taste as authentic as you think. We started with calamari. It is served with a red marinara and a white sweet cream sauce. It wasn't chewy but not exciting either. I ordered the shrimp and chicken carbonara and it exceeded my expectations. It was smokey and loaded with chunks of pork along with portions of shrimp and chicken. The chicken parmigiana was a fresh but safe tasting version. The chicken Marsala was creamy and the mushrooms were not soggy; so it made for a nice dish.

Truly the best customer service in Arizona! They should send all the managers and new employees to this restaurant for training ,great service and excellent food. Thank you do much for accommodation of 20 guest at the last minute and being very enthusiastic on doing so. I will always recommend your restaurant to others. Keep up the great work! I hope other restaurants learn from you.
(5)Nancy R.
One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever tried! The food is delicious. I have tried a variety of appetizers, entrees, and drinks, and all of them have been great so far. Furthermore, I love that you have the option of choosing between a salad or a soup while you are waiting for your food. By the way, I love their Italian dressing. The waiter brings you bread sticks every time you desire, as well. The first time someone decides to try this restaurant I recommend her/him to order the "Tour of Italy," since this plate lets you try three of their main entrees: Lasagna, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Chicken Parmesan. The service is amazing. I have never experienced any negative attitudes from any of the waiters, nor any other members from the staff. They are definitely aware of their customers' necessities and try to go even beyond to provide you the best experience while you are at the restaurant. The restaurant is always clean. I like how it looks from inside and out. Restrooms tend to be clean most of the time. There was one time I did encounter an issue, but it was minimal. There may be times where you may have to wait in line for service at the entrance, but it is worth it. So far, so good.

Great Meal and consistent with Olive Garden which is what I want in a brand. Staff were helpful to more than helpful. Thanks Monica
(5)Petina P.
I am writing this to commend the customer service at this location. Christie was excellent , she even called me right after I placed my online order to see if I wanted to pick up earlier then what was promised when I placed my order. It's hard nowadays to find great customer service, thank you Christie!
(5)Timothy R.
Came here for happy hour and soup. The service was fine with Luis as the server. We came here early so parking was fine. The soups are great as usual. The drinks are on happy hour prices so all the better!

Best food I've had at an Olive Garden. The chili wasn't old, the bread was great, and my pasta entree actually looked like the picture lol My server David was also great and quick. Happy I gave Olive Garden another chance.

I love Olive Garden so I am sad that we had such a poor experience at this one, it is because Of the manager on duty at this time that they are even getting two stars. Some friends and I were on our way to a wedding in Phoenix and had to leave late Friday night due to work, so once in Yuma we were starving. We saw Olive Garden on Yelp and decided we couldn't go wrong with that choice. Once seated one of the for of us went to the restroom and while he was in there our waitress offered us a sample of wine. When he returned she did not offer any to him. My boyfriend was raving about the smoked mozzarella chicken pasta so three of us ordered it. They literally forgot to add the sauce in with the pasta so it was just boiled noodles and baked chicken. When we informed the waitress she made some excuse about the sauce evaporating and stated it happened last week as well. Finally the manager came over and one glance at our food she knew it wasn't right. She comped all three of our meals and offered us free dessert. She was very nice about it and we all appreciated that she did all in her power to fix the mistake. This normally would have been enough to bump them up to even 4 stars, but then we sat and sat and SAT waiting for our bill for the fourth meal. We ended up at this restaurant for two hours when it was boarder line empty which made our trip 7 hours!

A notable disappointment from the usual decent Italian food. I got the Venetian Chicken in hopes of getting some awesome asparagus, which is currently in season. No no. The asparagus was cooked well and crunchy but otherwise had no discernible flavor. A combination of poor product and no seasoning. Broccoli was better, and the chicken breasts were tough to cut. The Zuppa Toscana and salad and breadsticks were up to their expected tastiness.
(2)mike r.
It's Olive Garden. You probably know what to expect. The service here is usually ok. There's almost always a huge line to be seated. I once got a whole drink accidently spilled on me here but I think the waitress felt worse about it than I did. Food is ok I guess. I'm sure there are better places to get italian, even in Yuma.
(2)Matt G.
I wish I could have given this restaurant a higher review but based on the situation I can't. I stopped here on Friday night while driving with friends from San Diego to Phoenix to grab dinner. We were in a hurry and hoping to order quick, eat fast, and get back on the road. I've been to various olive gardens many times and my favorite dish is the smoked mozzarella chicken pasta. I convinced nearly everyone at the table to order it based on my glowing review. They immediately brought out the salad and breadsticks but then took over an hour to bring out the entrees. When we received the meal I could immediately tell something wasn't right. We all tried to eat the pasta but it was VERY dry and had no flavor - my girlfriend said it tasted like she was eating glue. I'm not one to complain but it was so bad we just had to ask the waitress why it tasted so odd and she went back to get a manager. The manager took one look at the food and immediately told us the cook must have forgotten to put any sauce on the pasta! She took all the meals off the bill and offered us a free dessert. The manager was very friendly and helpful and because of the way she treated us and made up for the mistake, I would be willing to stop by again on my next trip through town. I wish I could give this place 5 stars based on her actions alone but when you leave a restaurant after being there for almost 2 hrs and are still hungry, that isn't a 5 star experience.
(3)L Michelle F.
I'm not a fan of chain restaurants, but my friends drag me here every so often. The gluten-free menu is a joke. If you order gluten-free, avoid the pasta; it's never good. I like the salad, though. When we walked in Monday, there was a spelling error on the specials menu. That's never a good sign!
(2)Joseph M.
Got to love the italian food! I wasnt a big fan until my wife took me to eat there once and now we go eat at least once a month. Good customer service and very friendly
(5)John E.
I'm pleasantly surprised. I had the $9.99 dinner and it was good. Chicken & Gnocchi soup was really good. Our waitress Olivia was a real help and provided great service! :-)
(4)Richard S.
An old reliable - the soup and salad combo is always good; some of the other entrees are good. Appetizers are good, but pricey. This is not inexpensive Italian-inspired food.
(3)Alysia W.
This was my first time ever dining at an Olive Garden so I was pretty excited! I love their atmosphere, it's a very rustic dim-lit romantic type feel without being overly formal. They are always packed so i suggest arriving a little early so that you can be seated as soon as you're hunger kicks in. I sat by the bar in a booth so service was much better since there were fewer tables to cater to on that side. I wish I could've seen the main dining area but oh well. We had their fresh breadsticks with marinara as an appetizer and I couldn't stop eating them! I'm not usually the type to eat bread before my meal so this is big news haha. For dinner I had their chicken caesar salad and it was quite disappointing. The dressing was watery not thick and creamy and this pretty much ruined it for me. On the other hand, I absolutely LOVE their raspberry peach iced tea. It isn't too sweet and you can actually taste the tea! They throw in a few slices of peach so that adds extra yumminess to it, plus it's endless refills! I must've had three cups of that and I took some to-go haha. My significant other had the cheese ravioli with meat sauce and that was good as well. You can taste the deep sausage flavor in the meat sauce so you know it's the good stuff. The raviolis are huge and you get lots of them! I would come here again [:
