Sat in the bar, excellent service, very freindly. Food was great, ribs and their chilli...great combination.

This place is pretty good, although it definitely has more of a chain feel than what I am used to. Yuma seems to have a serious drought of BBQ places aside from the chains (which this one is), so out of the options this one is probably the best in town,

I love Famous Daves! There's so much on their menu, I usually need 10 minutes to figure out what I want to eat. When it's my husband and I, we usually order the feast for two....it's a variety of chicken, ribs, brisket or pulled pork, corn on the cob, cornbread, and 2 sides for about 32 dollars!!! We usually take home food too! There's so much different sauces as well. The pecan pie is to die for! They also have sweet tea! The service is always quick and awesome!!!! Definitely give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Was so very diappointed in the food. Place itself is nice. Food very dried out and cold when we were served. I did not like it at all. Famous Dave's in Wisconsin however was Great but not this one....far from being on my list to go back again. I would have to pass!

Food might be good but service terrible. No hostess for several minutes. After i finally got a table and sat for several minutes no one has approached for service. In fact I never saw wait staff in the dining room at all. Left and drove to Chili's and had my drink order at the table within two minutes.

First tried Famous Dave's in Lancaster,Ca a few years ago. It was great. Have given our Yuma location 4 chances to come up in food quality and they have not. Tonight my baked potatoe Was lukewarm as was broccoli. The beef brisket was fatty and cold. That's the last chance for me.

We stopped here while visiting in Yuma. We enjoy a Famous Dave's near Phoenix and they tend to be reliable for good food. That was our experience here. We visited on President's Day at lunch and the service was slow but okay. We enjoyed the burnt tips appetizer. My husband ordered the two-meat platter and was especially pleased with the sausage. My dad had the burnt tips sandwich and enjoyed it. My mom and I had slight variations on the BBQ salad--her with pork, me with the brisket. This was my first time getting a salad at a Famous Dave's--come on, it really needs a remake. The meat is awesome but the salad itself is bland and forgettable. Basic lettuce, shredded cheddar. Considering how this is the one healthy offering here (the whole low cal menu is gone), can't you at least do mixed greens and add some oomph?

We came here about 9pm on a Saturday night. The food was fresh, and the service was great. We have been here several times before and we are never disappointed. Good family restaurant. A little pricey, but worth it.

Possibly the worst BBQ I've ever had. the meat was especially dry, just like the customer service. I don't think I could eat in this establishment (or any Famous Dave's) ever again.

Stopped by on our way to San Diego. Corn bread and chili were good. Not thrilled with the Texas brisket - it was very dry and tasted strange. Service was overall great - our drinks were refilled constantly.

First visit with my family today and was pleased. The cornbread was yummy. The waitress was nice. I had the beef brisket it was really good!! And I love how they have a variety of BBQ sauces on the table! Only down part was the pricing. Overall though good food!

Came here for dinner with four people on a Wednesday night. Although they were busy we were seated and served quickly. I had the rack of pork ribs which was a little pricey, but very good. Some of the best Memphis style ribs I have tasted. They have a great selection of sauces, although most tend on the sweet side rather than vinegar. The beans and the Mac and Cheese were both very spicy, but tasty. Not an inexpensive option if you want a full dinner with drinks, but at least you feel you got your money's worth. Ate half the rack and took the other half home for lunch.

Is the food good? Yes. However, it's expensive and the portions are really tiny. That's pretty much my complaint about this place and why I no longer go there. With that out of the way, I like the fact that they have a variety of bbq sauces on the table for you to try. Some of my favorites, the tea and the cornbread.

OK, I don't normally do chain restaurants, but I was hungry, this was right in front of me, and I succumbed to the growling in the stomach. Pretty darn good! Friendly service, food arrived quickly, and it was good. Ribs were cooked properly, and a plethora of sauces were available. Garlic mashed potatos were very good. Corn on the cob was over done, but that's normal unless they're cooked to order. Good value for lunch, but the dinner prices looked a bit pricey. Big plate of good food for a reasonable price.
(4)
Alysia W.
I had the beef brisket with one of their many bbq sauce selections tableside, and I was not disappointed at all! Mine was nice, juicy, and tender piled atop a slice of bread. It came with corn on the cob and a side of cinnamon apples. Extremely delicious bbq hidden in the city of Yuma.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Ordered the baby backs and man there was a lot of meat on those bones. And the sauces were excellent! The beans, corn bread muffin and mac n cheese sides were not bad either. If I were ever to come back to Yuma (kinda doubtful) I would come back to this place.

Dave's, Phillip's, Brett's, Phil's, Joey's, Mo's.... how's a bbq layperson to keep it straight? I'm going to remember Famous Dave's because our server was so experienced and friendly, I couldn't resist the perfect sweet tea that kept me up all night, and we got a photo speeding ticket right outside Yuma (discrimination against Californians!). The meats are seasoned, but served without excess sauce so you can experiment with the six (?) squeeze bottles on the table - the original is the best. The beans are delicious and meaty, but I'd prefer them less sweet and the corn muffin to be cornbread. I have to declare Phil's the sauce winner, but I liked how Dave's offered a petite dinner that still included plenty of sides and almost left room for the mini-dessert. I took the phone survey advertised on my receipt, so I can get the dessert free next time I need me some tasty pork (writing this way for your benefit). Turns out there's one ten miles from my house - I thought that pig looked familiar!

Famous Dave's has fantastic burgers. The combination of ground beef with ground smoked brisket is delicious. I crave these burgers! They have an excellent selection of BBQ sauces from a KC, to Old Miss, to Texas, and beyond. I like to make a BBQ sauce lake of a few of the sauces with a bit of the Devil's Spit sauce to dip my french fries. Service is fast and friendly, Exit 2 in Phoenix off of 8. Come hungry, leave ready to drive the rest of the day!

MMMMM BBQ! We stopped in on our way to San Diego for quick lunch! We all had a pork Georgia Chopped sandwich each one was very good. Tangy sauce nice amount of meat to bun. Good temp attire to all the food. We opted for fries instead of chips. Tasty!!

Famous Daves. they are famous for their ribs. but nah i think there famous for their Texas Beef Brisket. that is some yummy meat. especially getting some cup cake corn bread. OMG! the best. i like the service is very quick and people are generous. the only reason i dont give the 5 stars is because prices are not that great. they are actually too expensive. but is good if u go once in a couple of months.

Ordered a bloody mary at the bar and the Texas Brisket Sandwich. The bloody mary was good but the brisket sandwich fell a little short. The meat was chewy and had a lot of fat on it. I don't think I'll order this again if I go back. Maybe I'll try the ribs next time.

Came here after we discovered that Outback Steakhouse had closed. I got a Cesar salad which was good. The people I was with got beef brisket(which was very tough and not too good... 1/10) and the Devils Spit burger which was also not too great(4/10). Drinks were good and the corn bread was the best thing we got. Waitress never asked if we wanted a second round of drinks or dessert, just got handed the check. Sadly, probably won't be returning when we come back again.

Travel to Yuma every couple of weeks and stay in the 16th Street area. As such, have dined at this restaurant a few times. I don't know if this is a franchise or company store, but it just misses the mark compared to other FD's (Chandler,AZ). The service is best described as a little surly and not at all like you feel welcome. Waitress seemed more interested in chatting it up with co workers than serving customers. I had the "Beef it up Wednesday" special - Brisket Platter. The meat was dry, fatty and became bigger the more I chewed it. Tried to explain to server, but she rationalized that it was an "end" piece. Okay, so that explains everything?? Bottom line: not as pristine as other Famous Dave's.

Try the new Brisket Burgers!!! Very yummy!!!!! Have been there last night and really enjoyed the new Brisket Burgers and the new homemade cheese-chips!!! The cheese-chips kinda reminded me of the Classic-Nachos from Chili's, but not as good as the Chili's ones. Service was good, not amazing, but still very friendly! This is a the place in Yuma, if you want some good BBQ and a couple of drinks. Great place for a friends-night-out but definitely not the place to take "HER" on the first date! =) For sure one of the places real "Yumans" would come back to...

We've eaten here three times in about as many years. It's been worse each time, culminating last night when we stopped on our way through Yuma. The place was dirty, with the men's restroom especially grubby and greasy. And for some reason, the litter on the dining area floor was mainly straw wrappers. Lots and lots of straw wrappers. Weird. The help was friendly but clearly un-enthused. And the burgers we each had seemed to have been cooked long before, and just warmed a bit before tossing them on a bun with some stale sides. Long story short, this is the worst Famous Dave's we've been to. But it's still probably one of the better places we've eaten at in Yuma. So i guess the take home lesson is ... avoid Yuma at mealtime? Or maybe just avoid Yuma.

Really really good service .... First off...LOVED the cornbread. =) ... light and toasty... not overly sweet. I found the mac n cheese (w/ jalapenos) lacking - limp and not very cheesy. The naked ribs (o-la-la!) that I ordered were okay...not mouth watering / slide off the bone tender, but not bad. A few places were charred badly but I worked around them. Broccoli was limp. What's neat is that they have 4 or 5 kinds of bbq sauces so I mixed and matched until I found a yummy dip (sweet + zeasty plus the devil's sauce). PLENTY of PARKING!

Super-friendly, the waitress called me "sweetie," which made me laugh and reminded me that I wasn't in uptight CA! I had the Georgia Chopped Pork Sandwich; totally hit the spot and satisfied my craving for BBQ without overdoing it. It was at least 105 degrees outside, so I was grateful that my lemonade was constantly replenished and the bar seating area was extra cool.

We asked several people whether the ribs were better here or at Texas Roadhouse and all of them said they were better here. So, we went. And, were sorely disappointed. First off, they don't have baby-back ribs, only St. Louis-style (which is okay, if that's what you're looking for). They were okay, but nothing special. Their BBQ sauce was really, really good (I didn't go for any of the hotter ones, just the 'normal'). I also had the mac n cheese and it was lukewarm. Also, it had little chilies in it, which was okay, but it also had corn. Not to my taste, I'm a purist where mac n cheese is concerned, I guess. My other side was mashed potatoes and they were also nothing more than lukewarm. Pretty bad considering that we were nearly the only people in the place. Skip this and go over to Texas Roadhouse; I know we will from now on.

This is the second Famous Dave's I have been to that serves food that seems to have been sitting out for a while. My mac n cheese had a hard film over the top of it and my broccoli was cold. It was obvious the brisket had been sitting out since the sauce was dried to the meat. The only thing decent was the beer... I think I'm writing this chain off as a good place to get average BBQ
