Food: 1) Tortilla soup: good flavor and taste! 2) Cobb salad: Really BIG portions of the salad here! They also give you a lot of cheese so it is very filling! 3) Squaw bread: so before this place, I really had no idea what squaw bread was, so I decided to just try it here. It's SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD here! This is exactly the type of bread I like to eat! It's soft but also dense and it has a hint of sweetness! It's DELICIOUS! My favorite thing here! Service: Friendly, down to earth, genuine waitresses here. Ambiance: All the seating I have seen are booths, so you get a more private setting to sit and chat with friends. It's a typical American place, not run down or too fancy. The walls are filled pictures of Yuma History, it's interesting to look at. Price: Very reasonable. Overall: I've already eaten here twice, so that automatically means I like it enough to go back multiple times.

We have been coming to the crossing bar and Grill for many years now and we can safely say that it's a great place to eat at a decent price, so long as you say to the two item or three item combo's on the back of the menu... my personal recommendation is to go with one of their salads, order their tortilla soup and an order of their bone-in sweet-inferno wings. Their samplers are also great... Even though you may walk out with a bit of a carb hangover, it's mouthwatering comfort food. ... Now if only we could get them to offer their squaw bread for free again!

LOCATION & PARKING: Private parking in the front & rear of the restaurant. FOOD: We decided to start off with the bottled Stella Artois, it was nice and cold and tasted fresh, they even offered us a chilled glass. We continued with 12 teriyaki ( bone-in) wings that were at a reduced price today/Tuesday. The size, taste, and tenderness of the wings were surprisingly good! Other places tend to over cook them or they are tiny, but not here. We also ordered an appetizer (deep fried mushrooms), because we thought we would like to try them, based off of another customers plate, but the portion was so large, we hesitated. Well we were told we could purchase 1/2 an order, that was really nice to know! HAPPY HOUR: We decided to our the Tuesday Happy Hour, which is buy one (any) bottled beer get one free. SERVICE: The hostess met us at the door immediately. Even tho I decided to sit in the bar, she still offered me menus! The bartender, Josh Aguilar, was very friendly, attentive, and simply pleasant to around. Josh was on top of his game, he attended to our every need! ATMOSPHERE: There were several other customers in the area we were sitting at. All of the employees made us feel welcome. The areas of the restaurant were fairly well lit, everything looked well kept and up to date. CONCLUSION: We will definitely come back again, to try another item on the menu, as we were close to the kitchen, every plate that came out of the kitchen looked freshly made, with nice presentation and perhaps delicious.

Came in from our of town and it looked good. I had the Philly cheese steak and it was really great! My daughter had the boneless chicken wings that looked like chicken nuggets but she said they were good. Good prices but the service could of been a little better. They were not that busy but didn't seem very attentive. I would go back.

Happy hour= woohoo!! Service so far so good. Drinks are good as well. Same with food. The vibe here is great, something I wasn't so sure about at first. But I would definitely put this on my list of places to come back to.

Terrible service. Mostly on the kitchen's end. There are no more than 8 tables of people here and the kitchen struggled to get us food in a timely manner. Food was decent but the wait time was horrid

Ordered the turkey melt and my companion ordered the fish sandwich. Both were old and re cooked crap. Very fishy smelling fried fish is a very bad sign and it like if they got turkey sandwich meat from Walmart warmed it up in the microwave, let it sit for a day then waited for me to come in to reheat it for my order. The zucchini appetizer was the only reason I gave it even 2 stars. It was good, but not good enough to save dinner. This place has potential if the had a smaller menu and concentrated on simple dishes. They obviously are scared of wasting food so they reheat everything they don't use the day before.

My husband went here for Veteran's Day. This was the first time I had been there in YEARS and he had never been there. We were honestly not expecting any good since other local places have let us down. He ordered the steak and I had the tilapia. We were blown away by how good it was! His steak was cooked perfectly and my fish tasted like it was caught about an hour prior to our arrival. It was such a delicious meal! The service was also wonderful. Our waitress had the perfect balance of being attentive without being annoying. Since were are both veterans, we also got a discount on our bill which I really appreciated since not many local restaurants do that. We will be coming back because the food and service are excellent!

the service here is what won us over, our waitress andrea was just a delight, she was warm genuinine, and we actually looked forward to the chatting with her my husband even wrote a thank you on the reciept RARE MOMENT. the food was alright but their bar tender has some skills, she modified a drink to my allergies and it was amazing, i wish i could have had a couple more but my allergy medicine held me back. happy hour be warned is only on the bar side but no big deal the potatoe skins were AMAZING that was my meal i filled up on those and the house made ranch perfect and they were generous with portions there is decent parking and you can tell they have regulars which is a good sign if i am ever in yuma we will come back

Meh. Tortilla soup was served barely warm and the squaw bread had been microwaved so it was rubbery. Soup not warm enough to melt the cheese or sour cream. Also first tine I've ever had tortilla soup without chicken in it -- just broth with some tortilla strips in it. Squaw bread was inedible. Very disappointing.

My food came in a timely manner and the service was good. The waitress said the burgers were never frozen made fresh on the spot, don't know if that's true but my avocado burger was delicious. Their menu has a lot to choose from, it was almost hard to decide what to eat. I will have to go back again and try a few other things. Overall my experience was good and I'd recommend you give this place a try.

I would like to amend a recent review that I made. I want to let people know that after my recent visit that went downhill I recieved an email quite quickly from the owner of The Crossing. His attention to this matter sure makes a difference. I know that there are not many businesses that pay that sort of attention to their reviews nor do they make it a point to make the necessary changes to right the wrong. He was very adament on making sure he knew what needed to be fixed and did not make excuses for the incedent. This is obviously a restaurant that will go on my #1 Go To places in Yuma. Thanks again to the Management of The Crossing Restaurant in Yuma! See you soon for dinner. :)

One of my college roommates was from Yuma, and she introduced me to this place a long time ago. I mean, a LONG time ago. When I moved to Yuma later in life, I frequented it often for lunch. My favorite things were the iced tea and lemonade, the fried zucchini, and the turkey and cheese melty sandwich. I thought the service was ok back then, but maybe it's changed? Nevertheless, it's a nice non-chain option a town that is getting more and more chains. I kinda miss it.

The BEST place in town!!! No doubt everything is delicious but I would recommend there chicken wings, & the tortilla soup! Simply the best!;) BEST FOOD EVER!!! Great Costumer Service Always!

I don't think this place is anything special. On a Saturday night, it was absolutely dead - and, despite the decent exterior, the interior has a very outdated feel. The prices are reasonable though and the wings are good (special prices are listed on their website for Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). If I had to choose between Buffalo Wild Wings & the Crossing Restaurant for wing specials, BWW's would be an easy choice as the ambiance (TV's, people, etc) is MUCH better.

Great service, food, and catering! They catered our wedding at the last minute because our prevous caterer backed out. They did a great job, on time, professional and provided good fresh food! We went into the restaurant to try their food before hand, and had a great experience. The staff was wonderful, and the food we ate was fantastic! The pricing for catering was very reasonable. Definitely consider them for your next party or event!

I go to Yuma once a week. The crossing is quickly becoming one of my favorite places. Two for one beers will do that I guess. To me its simalar to an Applebees or Chilis but since its locally owned and not a franchise way better. Great atmosphere is alot of what adds to the place. The first visit I had the blue cheese burger. Perfectly cooked and came at the recomendation of the bartender that also provided great service by the way. My second visit I got the wings because they where on special. They where good but not great. It was really busy that night and the service was a little slow but not bad.

Just had them cater my wedding, which was in an oddball location way out in the desert. Management was very helpful, they had good customer service, and the food was enjoyed by all. (Their lasagna was amazing!! Not on the regular menu, but I definitely recommend it for catered meals!) They arrived on time and set everything up to look very nice. My only complaint was that gratuity was included in the price that I paid ($1.92/person to the tune of $175 total)... however, when my maid of honor let them know they could take off, she re-confirmed with them that the tip was included, & they told her they were only being compensated their hourly wage, which resulted in her rushing around to scrounge up $40 of her own money to give them. Not cool. They were either not telling the truth, or they aren't being paid the auto-grad that was collected. Either way, it left a bit of a sour taste after an otherwise completely pleasant experience. Tried to mention it to the manager after the fact, but he either missed what I was saying, or didn't really care. Update: manager called back immediately after reading the review. Apologized & admitted that he hadn't completely heard what I'd said. Like I said, the customer service we've received from management has been pretty spot on. He did explain that the auto-grad that you pay does not translate into tips for the servers, it goes towards their hourly wage, which is better than most for the service industry. I'm appreciative of the explanation, but still feel that "gratuity" is misleading if it's not actually that. I wouldn't ordinarily tip on top of an auto-grad, and their wording almost resulted in us stiffing a couple of kids who hauled our wedding food 30 miles out of town!

Visited based on reviews n a local lady at our hotel validaded the place so we were excited to check it out.Bad choice!Service was slow & there were only 3 other tables w/ people.Ordered the mushroom appetizer, Philly cheese-steak ( it was bland), hot wings which were dry & cold.Asked for a new batch that after 20 min of waiting, never made it to our table :( Visited wed nite at 830p, not sure why our experience was not pleasant. I will try it 1 more time, but from this experience, I wouldn't recommend it.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how this restaurant is still in business. It had been quite awhile since we had been here so we gave it another shot. While the decor was very nice the food was terrible and the service slow. Every sound in the room carried and made our dinning experience terrible. We had to send the chicken strips and the chicken alfredo back as it had no taste. What happened to the free Squaw bread?? I guess our waitress was too unattentive to realize she never brought us any. I will never go back here again. I think this is the place people go when they do not want to clean up and eat at a real restuarant. Sorry.

Amazing food have been here a number of times and never had anything that wasn't amazing. The atmosphere is usually calmer than most bars in Yuma and is more of a adult atmosphere (no drunks in the bushes). The food is about the same price as chili's but is always of a higher quality. The meals come with squaw bread which is a dark grain bread served with a very thick butter spread (very tasty). Drinks flow cheap and plentiful and they have happy hour every day. All around good place to go and very good for the Yuma area.
