I saw the Greek food sign and made the mistake of eating here. I ordered the special...not special at all. The spinach pie tasted like stale Stouffer's. It came with rice and gyro meat. $20! Good grief. I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth, so we had to get a pack of gum to wolf down along with silent prayers that I wouldn't get food poisoning. Hubby and daughter had fish fry. They said it was bland. $16.95! And, my daughter saw someone spit out their food! How dare they charge such prices for horrible "food"? Bathroom not the cleanest either. Don't waste your time unless you're a fan of bad frozen meals and the Sizzler. Sad.

Just had the worst breakfast of my 4 week trip across the country. The bacon was so hard I was afraid of cracking my teeth. They didn't have jalapeños, which is fine, though they said "everyone always asks for that but we don't have them". Wouldn't that be an indicator that you should start carrying them? My eggs were so coated in oil they were so shiny they looked fake. The only thing that was decent was the coffee. Don't eat here. Or Jessica, really up your cooking game, for those prices I could be eating gourmet breakfast.

Like many others, we stopped here on my way back from the Grand Canyon. I was craving Gyro for some reason and this is the closest place I found. Since it was on Route 66 I was expecting higher prices, which turned out to be true. The atmosphere was not my favorite and the bathrooms need improvement, for sure. The poor reviews didn't help at first, but the Gyro craving was overpowering it. The best parts were the service and the food. The gyro salad was delicious & authentic, equally authentic as the faded Greek food promotional posters. My server was the part that really stood out to me from this whole experience. She was one of the best servers I've ever had and one of the most sincere, authentic people I have ever encountered. I don't think she was the/an owner so there wasn't a feeling of forced service, just genuine caring and concern that we were happy while we were there. That was the best part. Based on the atmosphere, this place in no way deserves 4 stars but the yummy Gyro salad (4) and the most fabulous server ever (5), totally bring the rating up.

I have no idea why the previous reviews were negative! The food was WONDERFUL!!! Homemade, seasoned perfectly, and the service warm and friendly!!! It's a Greek restaurant with great ambience! If your hungry and want comfort food, this is the place to visit!!! Follow up to this glowing review. Members of our party who consumed an egg dish are now all ill with abdominal issues from a possible food related issue. I'm so disappointed! I too must now recommend passing on this establishment.

We had excellent meals two nights in a row. Whoever may be bashing them is likely the competition. They were genuine and kind and we loved the service.

If you came to read about Jessica's, run as far as you can from this restaurant! It's really 0 stars! In short, just recovered from a rude shock of $43 for two veg sandwiches! Default 20% gratuity applied for 3 people - all of this without prior notice! Long: Called for two grilled cheese sandwiches ($7.99 each) with tomatoes, onions and lettuce - literally got them when once slice of each and the final price of the sandwich jacked up to 14.99 without even informing us that the toppings would attract $2.5 per PIECE of vegetable! And $6 gratuity for 3 people. I don't mind paying whatever the restaurant deems as fair as long as we are informed or it was agreed upon when placing the order! If you have a choice to eat elsewhere in Williams or Flagstaff, run as far as you can from this place before they rip you off your remaining $! The good folks at Jessica's need a lesson in propriety, honesty and customer service! Merry Christmas!

I agree with most of the negative reviews. We had a decent breakfast.Hash browns were undercooked and it is hard to mess up eggs.It was.way overpriced.I asked for some.salsa to put on eggs and.they charged me three dollars for.two spoonfuls.There.are better options in Williams keep looking

  • Connie D.

Food was just ok. The pasta was overcooked and mushy. When I asked for some additional marinara sauce for my pasta dish (the pasta on the bottom had no sauce), I was very surprised that additional sauce added $5 to my already high lunch bill. Two pasta dishes for lunch was $44. Won't go back.

    (2)
  • Tina C.

Not recommended. Food was okay but very over priced. $15 for a Greek salad with no meat. Service was also horrible and I guess that's why they added a service fee for a party of 3. Or else they probably never get tipped.

  • Michele T.

Why, oh why, didn't I consult you people before we went here?? So caught up in the Route 66 nostalgia, and enjoying our vacation, thay I screwwd up! Whatever you do, do NOT eat here!! The people are very nice but the food is pretty awful.

I was quite disappointed in this restaurant. We stopped in to have dessert; out of all of the options on their menu all they had was vanilla ice cream and baklava. We ordered coffee and the baklava. Neither was very good. The coffee was old and not very hot. The baklava was alright. The staff did not seem to be happy to be there. They did not make an effort to be friendly, nor were they terribly polite. When we received the bill, shortly after being served, we were told that it would be totalled and the tax added to it at the register. I would not return to this restaurant, nor would I recommend it.

Family restaurant is definitely the atmosphere you get when you arrive in this restaurant. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. I'm so happy to have met such wonderful people. I posted a pic of the beef liver plate and gyro platter. Best vegetable soup I've ever had.

  • Ron B.

It was alright, nothing exciting. I think places just don't put in too much effort when they know exactly that tourists don't really have much of an option. The people there however were very friendly and we liked them a lot. But the food was greasy and not high grade. Given the choice I wouldn't go back here again. It's too bad because the waitress and cook were fun to talk to.

We were very disappointed at this restaurant! Would not recommend it at all. We went for breakfast and the pancakes were good but they were also $9 for a short stack of pancakes. We felt over all it was very pricy for breakfast, we had to get up and get the waitress on two different occasions and then the tip was added to our party of 5 (2 adults and 3 children). Overall the atmosphere is very retro and not updated at all and not worth $100.00 for breakfast for a family of 5.

  • Miles F.

Chicken parm was gross. The pasta was over cooked and a little soggy, and the chicken was very dry. The soup and the garlic bread that came with the order was also disgusting; the soup tasted like it was straight from the can and the garlic bread was just a toasted bun with no traces of garlic. All for a total of $14. To top it off, the service was sub-par, as waitress kept forgetting what we had ordered. Bathroom floor was sticky... At least they gave you nasty ice cream at the end? Would give it 0 (zero) stars if possible...

Expensive average food was expected in a small tourist town but the owner was openly RUDE and degrading to his ELDERLY employee. Witnessing that made me lose my appetite. I just wanted to get out of there! Do not be fooled by his fake charm. He is a mean man.

  • Nova G.

Will never forget to check yelp first again. We paid high prices for terrible food. Bathrooms were gross, waitress was not all there. Sorry to give a bad review, but yuck. I felt ripped off. My husband and niece both ordered the chicken parmesan. His was about 4 ozs, hers was more like 8 ozs. No breading on the chicken, melted slice of mozzarella, over cooked. Garlic bread wasn't even good. How do you mess up garlic bread? I ordered the open face turkey sandwich thinking it would be safe. It was smothered with bad gravy and complimented with a scoop of powdered mashed potatoes. Fries were stale or old, burger meat was a funny light color. Can't believe this place is still in operation. In the words off my 9 year old daughter; I am glad we live far away!

    (1)
  • Cornelis T.

Yep, the place looks like shit! The owner is a weird dude! But this is more genuine route 66 than most places in williams! This was truly an experience! We ate some good greek food, the owner told us A LOT of stories and even joined us for diner! I must say, this is not for everyone but we loved it!

  • Nathan W.

I wish I could give this place negative stars. The food was atrocious. The side of bacon for $4.95 was old bacon from the refrigerator. You could clearly tell. The French toast as well as the regular toast was made with stale bread. I was a cook for 4 years so I know when food is not prepared properly. My kids had the kids pancakes with strawberries and they charged $5.95 for the pancakes and an additional $4.95 for the fruit topping. For a simple 4 person breakfast, I was shoked when I got the $65 bill for probably the worst breakfast I have ever not eaten as I could only stomach about 5 bites. Also the check was not finalized and was told they would do it at the register where the lady had to use a magnifying glass to read it. So many red flags silly me. If you like to taste your food I definitely would avoid this place. Just left a horrible taste in my mouth figuratively and literally.

I gave one star because there's nothing lower. Poor food, dirty bathroom and high prices.

Went to Williams for the Polar Express Train. Sunday morning we decided to go to Jessica's for breakfast. Food was great, prices were a little high but its small town rural so I expected that. I thought the food was great and the owner was very nice. What I wasen't expecting was later in the day at about 3:30 pm I ended up with horrible food poisoning. I was so sick that I actually had to stay back and miss the the Polar Express Train with my family. Out of the 6 of us that ate there, 4 got sick....me of course the worst case. Thankfully the kids didn't have eggs and we're spared. That was the only thing that we had eaten all day so we cannot attribute it to anything else. I don't like giving bad reviews, especially to family owned businesses, but when you give people food poisoning and wreck their vacation you leave me no choice!

  • Germain L.

Well how do I start this....The food was disgusting this is my first 1 Star I've ever given in all my ratings! Food tasted like it had been frozen for a while, I try giving them the chance because I thought it was going to taste home cook since we were really far from home...Well the employees working there are super nice and really fun people but the food NOT SO GOOD me my wife and daughter got ILL from eating here. The owner gave us free pastry to try for free....it was a bad choice to eat it, felt frozen and microwaved still cold in the inside!!! Sorry if it sounds harsh but I bring it to you how it is. NOT WORTH IT KEEP DRIVING there is plenty to choose from ahead of the road.

    (1)
  • Apurva D.

Wish I could give zero stars to this place!! Ordered a 8$ grilled cheese sandwich and told the waitress to add some veggie toppings! Later the bill came out to 15$, 7$ for vegetable toppings!! Where on earth will someone charge you 7$ for an onion straw and that too without telling..Awful experience!! Hate the place..

  • Leila L.

A normal place with average food - I actually don't get why it gets so many angry reviews here. I got an omelette with gyro, and hubby got blueberry pancake. They were both fine and tasty, though the pancake is a little bit too soft. Our waitress is nice. Other people working there were also very nice. The food is not overpriced at all - at least for breakfast.

    (3)
  • Sherry C.

Stopped in for lunch. Food was horrible! Hubby ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. If there were any meat in the sauce, it was disguised as a red onion. Dish as served was a plate of pre cooked pasta with a minimal topping of tomato paste, onions, bell peppers and a dusting of cheese. I ordered the chicken gyro. Sandwich was good if soggy, but the fries were the cheapest frozen fries available. These two dishes and two sodas came to over $35! There was only one other table in use while we were there, and it was directly in back of me. I was "entertained" during dinner by the cook/owner flirting with two young women as he interviewed them for a job. I really don't think that is something a customer should see or hear. In summary, this restaurant is overpriced and under quality, run away!

  • Aly D.

I really hate leaving bad reviews but I honestly do not know how this place is still open. The waitress was nice however she stuck her thumb in my food. I got the biscuits and gravy with hashbrowns that had no flavor what so ever even after I pour half the salt and pepper shaker on them. My boyfriend got the blueberry pancakes and he didn't even finish them. The pancakes tasted like they were frozen at one point. My daughter was the only happy camper with the chocolate chip pancakes ($9.99 for two of them and no sides) until she saw one of the waitresses not wash her hands after using the bathroom. The waitress saw that we left all our food on the plate and didn't ask if we wanted a refund or replacement. Worst $43 I have ever spent in my entire life. I love giving local businesses a chance but I will never return.

  • Claudia L.

Run! Go ANYWHERE else! The food was awful! The place is dirty and smells rancid & stale. And the turd waiting for me in the toilet was just another thing to add to the list of things that went wrong. There was a ditzy waitress who had no idea what she was doing! We were the only diners dumb enough to eat there that morning and she kept forgetting about us and didn't know the menu, she would stare at it suspiciously like we were trying pull a fast one on her then with hesitation write the order down. Then challenged us when we asked for the toast that came with our meal. Yeah I'm running a scam where I try to swindle unsuspecting waiters out of a piece of bread. You caught me! I'm SO busted! Then a $74 bill for 3 adults and 3 kids which might seem reasonable but this food was worse than Mcdonalds and I hate Mcdonalds. Go anywhere else. ANYWHERE else.

  • Oliver K.

It's still so pitiful. No one seems to ever eat here, yet the owner's SUV is always parked out front. The sad, old woman who works here looks like a strong gust of wind would blow her away as she walks home after her shift. Why does she still work here? I want to give her a Safeway gift card. I want to warn others. Stay. Away. For. God's sake.

Good food, worth a try if your in the area. But still high priced because of the area so price to value are questionable. .

  • TC L.

Food was so stinkin expensive and waitress was clueless and hostess was rude. Not worth it.

    (1)
  • Bruce B.

Don't expect the food to look like the pictures. I had ham and cheese omelet and hash browns. Danny ' s puts this place to shame with quality price. Coffee diluted weak and Luke warm. And if you use your smartphone they get irritated . Definitely not comming back. I thought off the main drag it would have to be good. Wrong.

Went here for breakfast while visiting the Grand Canyon. The food was delicious, exactly what you should expect from a breakfast menu. The owner was very friendly and fun to talk to, as was the waitress who was very sweet.

Our first time in Williams and we ventured out and tried this place and the food was not good at all. Not recommended at all.

  • Bob C.

The owner and waitress are very likable, friendly and attentive, but unfortunately the food is terrible. We ordered the special which was a Chicken Souvlakia Gyro plate that came with some fries. The chicken was hard and dry; the sauce had a bad flavor and the pita bread was stale and small. We also ordered another special which was a baked pasta dish. It was pretty tasteless and came with a very small simple salad. Even if the food was good, the prices seemed high. The small gyro was $9.99 and the pasta dish, which was also small, was $12.99. We won't be going back.

My parents wanted to give Mom's and Pop's restaurant a chance and gave this restaurant a try...never did my dad who won't leave leftover on a plate stop chewing until every single bit dissapear and my twin brother and myself have so much leftovers on our plate too. There is no sense of .... nothing in this restaurant says 'I'm proud' of my place and the food I serve.... the owner is not friendly at all and very rude to his employees, calling names to them in front of customers and kids! We ordered omelettes .... it consisted of barely two eggs dry as paper with hints of ingredients which was not fresh at all, hash brown was so old it was like trying to chew rubber band, toast came swimming in old margarine and all this bad cocktail will cost you almost ten bucks. Hot chocolate milk? Made out of packet topped with old sour whipped cream which gave my twin brother very bad stomachache....nothing here is worth your business but we did have good service from the waitresses. Owner needs to rethink, re~do his acts a.s.a.p.

Opened for thanksgiving 2012. I had the ham and cheese omelette and have no complaints. My friend had the spaghetti and sausage which was decent. Run by two senior citizens who, though aren't energetic, done everything right. Refills, good service, friendly. No complaints overall and enjoyed a quiet meal before we leave for Vegas. Total for the two plate and a coffee $27.00 Why were we in this little town?

Stopped for lunch with wife. should have known better than to stay, as we were treated rudely to start.. Waitress did not speak English and back up staff was very rude. Food was not delivered as ordered and we were told too bad it cant be corrected. Food was terrible, prices were way out of line. Then at check out no compensation was given and waitress said the server was down and they will only accept cash. What a filthy dump, the food and service are even worse. Go any where else!!!!

Avoid at any cost.. we got in here thinking to try some Greek food.. first of all it is not air conditioned.. the fans are placed were people do not sit.. the food is not good and expensive.. I would rather pay the same amount and eat in another restaurant in williams.. they say the gyros are good and we ordered them.. it was dry. the soup is totally bad... we were a group of 6 and none of us liked the food or the ambience over there...

    (1)
  • Keith G.

If your reference is camping food, then you might be pleasantly surprised. People who worked there seemed genuinely nice. Kids pizza was average, tuna melt was just a tuna sandwich (no cheese) and not hot, pasta of the day had some flavor and was okay but pricey. Large portions. The Greek cook there can do a decent job from basic grocery store ingredients. Don't expect gourmet at this Route 66 locale.

Service was a little slow but friendly. Food was decent.

  • Todd R.

The other reviewer says it perfectly. From the beginning, we got a strange vibe from the subdued nature of the servers. Prices seemed rather high for a small town establishment and we were the only people there eating at 9am on a Sunday morning for breakfast. We ordered omelets and had one without ham and one substituting mushrooms for ham. When asking for salsa we saw on another table, we were told that was the staff's (or boss') private stash and couldn't have it. Coffee was incredibly weak. My friend had four cups of coffee but needed to go to buy coffee at Starbucks afterwards just to get some caffeine. When we got the bill, we noticed one omelet was priced a $1 higher than the menu. I asked the server and he explained he just does what the boss tells him to. We went up to pay and despite credit card logos emblazoned on the door and a hanging in front of the restaurant, we were told the credit card machine was "broken." However, there was an ATM machine conveniently next to the counter. Not wanting to give the boss any more money, my friend went to the grocery store and got cash back. With the extra time, I started to dispute the price and the waitstaff suggested talking to the boss, who was loudly talking on a phone in one of the booths. I stood by him for several minutes with no acknowledgement. Finally, I signaled I wanted to talk to him and he abruptly pointed his finger at the waitstaff. I tried again and got the finger point again. One of the waitstaff approached him and it was determined that the mushrooms were more expensive...hence the $1 charge. Meanwhile, there was no deduction for having the other omelet without ham. As the other reviewers have said, tip the servers well (and hope the boss doesn't steal their tips). Really, just don't go here except maybe to drop off money for the people who have to deal with this a$@hole on a daily basis. The only redeeming thing about going was that I now have a good story to tell...much like when I got my wallet stolen in Las Vegas the day before. Oh yeah, and the bathroom was disgusting. Sticky floors and crap on the toilet.

I recently stopped by the Grand Canyon and was looking for a good ol' American diner, so I stopped here. Upon eating my delicious cheeseburger and fries (did I mention it was delicious) the owner's father sat and talked with me for a bit. He was super friendly and just wanted to strike conversation since I was traveling alone. Turns out, we were from similar areas of the midwest so the conversation continued. When I went to pay, the old man refused my money and sent me on my way with a smile. I couldn't believe it. I don't think all bills will be waived by good conversation but it was definitely a good gesture of kindness. Did I mention the cheeseburger and fries were friggin' delicious? This is the kind of small town diner I was hoping to experience; quaint, kind, tasty and full of heart.

From reading prior reviews we didn't have very high expectations...I think they have improved in service and food quality recently. Food was pretty good...not amazing but good average breakfast food. Service was pretty good too.

If you are going to order Greek, it will probably be ok. My wife had the gyro plate. Although it was WAY overpriced, she liked the platter. However, I ordered veal parmigiana, and it was basically inedible. It came with spaghetti and it was the absolute worst I have ever tried. I was only able to take a few bites from the plate. It was expensive to boot. We mentioned it was not good, but the staff did not offer any refund. My daughter and mother in law also had the spaghetti and found it inpalatable. In summary, I would avoid this place unless you want a decent gyros platter.

We stopped in Williams AZ for the night on our way to Vegas (please see review for Budget Host Inn!!!!). We ate at Jessica's because it was right across the street from our hotel and the weather was terrible. The owner and waitress were REALLY nice. The food was back and forth on taste so I will just list it: Chesse Sticks - terrible...they were burnt Onion rings - over cooked but not horrible veggie soup - good gyro plate - pretty good...the best part of our meal except the fries were a little blaa compared to the meal. The main shocker was when our check came out. We knew that the gyros were expensive but we were not expecting a $77 check for 2 adults and 1 child.

I stayed in Williams because it was an hour from the Grand Canyon. Jessica's staff were friendly but I felt ripped off. A lamb/beef gyro $9.95 and a chicken souvlaki $11.95 + a take out "packaging fee" $2.00 + tax $2.93 = $26.83 for a tasteless gyro and souvlaki. I consider this pricey for what I got. Tourist Trap is an accurate description. I would never go back.

Overview - We stopped here for breakfast twice. Breakfast is affordable but they only take cash, but have an ATM right there at the register. Need a place for a decent breakfast, then this is the right place for you. Food - I had the biscuits and gravy and me GF had pancakes. We were quite happy with the food. Service - Service was slow and the decor needs help. But the place provides a decent breakfast for a suitable price. The lady would show up rarely at times, but then pester you to death other times. She is also a bit hard to understand. If you are not a native English speaker, you may have trouble with her. Cost - I think the cost was fairly good. About $26 for three people, 2 OJ's and a coffee for breakfast is not bad at all. Decor - This place is obviously really old. Not surprising considering its a Route 66 joint. However the insides are confused. They have some little flags all over, then quite a few posters of Gyros. It looks a bit run down, but we did not come here for ambiance.

i drove around williams on christmas day hoping to find something open so we could eat. our hotel was there, even the grocery store was closed! happily, we came across jessica's family restaurant. i ordered a veggie omelet, and my friend ordered a spinach pie. both were pretty good. i'd say it was definitely overpriced, but what can you do? the servers were very nice and friendly, and didn't seem at all bummed to be working on the holiday. if it wasn't for jessica's, we'd have had a gas station food xmas.

I stopped at Jessica's for breakfast around 8am before heading to the Grand Canyon. As soon as we sat down and began looking at the menu the owner started screaming at the waitress, a grandmotherly old woman, because we were not ordering the specials. He wasn't talking harshly, he was screaming. I was utterly shocked and nearly walked out but I was starving after driving all night. My boyfriend and I quickly ordered the specials. He continued to scream about various things throughout our meal. At first I thought she was his wife, but it became apparent she was just an employee. He treated her like trash though. We ate a quick , uncomfortable and incredibly overpriced meal, tipped well, and bolted. The food was edible but not tasty, I would have enjoyed Denny's food more. We spent about 20 bucks for 2 people to eat breakfast.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Greek Cuisine

Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.

Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.

For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food.
