Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Wow was the dinner great! We had our 4th of July dinner here and we were glad we did. All the meals were perfect, great prices and nice atmosphere. The desert options were awesome! The prices were very reasonable. Service was nice. We look forward to going back! Their summer menu of dinner for 2 for $25 was a nice option. Yum!

Worst Italian food in Tucson and the staff is rude and very slow. Will never be back ! Over priced and gross

Quality has gone down. Some waiters are pretty unfriendly. Food seems pre-prepped. Meatballs were really dry. Chicken was flavorless. Probably won't be going back.

Don't waste your time at this place. Today was our first time trying this restaurant and we will not be back. To start, the waiter was not personable at all and seemed like he had better things to do; didn't want to be at work at all, like we were an inconvenience to him for being there. Our "salad" was old lettuce that was browning, our bread cold. When I asked if the bread was supposed to be warm, our server said yes and I asked for warm bread. He brought more and said well, you're not gonna get hot bread. And... it wasn't. The food was just okay. Nothing impressive for the prices. The Lasagna tasted like canned sauce, and my THIRTY DOLLAR pasta wasn't that good either. Sort of bland. I could have gone to Olive Garden and gotten better food for cheaper and been happier.

There is a nice ambiance in the restaurant and the server was very professional and polite. I got the fettuccine salmone and it had a good creamy tomato Alfredo sauce. The soup that came with the dish tasted like standard minestrone and the sesame bread was tasty with butter. Overall a good experience if you want a nice dinner.

We went for the two-for-$20 special and understood why the dishes were on special - they are not made to order. They tasted like dishes prepared the day before and microwaved, and with too little seasoning. We were literally the only customers there except for a couple of barflies. It wasn't terrible, but I would not go back.

Great local corner spot if you like to feel like family environment. Not cheap. They have customized my orders. I say try them.

Today I had a very positive experience at Verona. The service was appropriately attentive, and not overbearing. The description of four very interesting specials was detailed flawlessly by the waiter. The wine list was reasonable and appropriate but not pretentious. I ordered the seafood special, which featured scallops, fish, shrimp, calamari, mussels, and small clams in a scampi-based sauce over al dente linguine. My dish was expensive, but properly priced. The seafood was fresh, well prepared, tastefully presented, and the serving was rather large. The owner was available and checked in with the customers, interested in our satisfaction. The atmosphere is family-style rather than romantic or trendy. Let's just say that hipsters don't hang out here.

Bad. Bad. Bad. The service was really bad. Team that up with the insanely high prices for mediocre food and you've got this place. 140 for 3 people. Yes, 1 glass of wine each, 1 entree that comes with a soup or salad (both awful), and 3 desserts (mediocre at best). Our server was awful and unfriendly, overly annoying and yet still managed to not honor our wishes for "special" orders. Of course, our server got very friendly near the end of our visit, likely expecting a large gratuity. Be warned!

Service was very good. Food was excellent. Specials were a bit pricey. We came in spite of reviews below, and question whether they are deserved. I have only good things to say.

We have read the reviews on this restaurant but can't figure out why they are so poor. We have ate here several times and have been impressed with both the service and the authenicó Italian. I lived in Italy for 2 years and this place always brings me back! The service is a little slow and the prices a little high, but give it a shot.

Veron-not! Very pricey for food that was AWFUL. I ordered Lasagna, and a pork dish I forget the name of. The lasagna tasted like a Weight Watcher's frozen meal. The Pork dish's sauce was like canned gravy that tasted slightly off. The Parmesan potatoes were overcooked and dry and did not taste like Parmesan. The garlic bread had no discernible garlic taste and was also dry. It was about 60 bucks out the door. Can't believe it's still open and it makes me sad that such a cute restaurant space with such potential was such a disappointment. Like, in the worst way. Seriously, for that kind of money, we could have gone to Gavi's and had amazing leftovers to boot.

Like Charles G says it's in a strip mall so easily missed. Unlike Maggie T, I've been here about 5x, including 1x for a large birthday party, and it's been great each time. Only once could I have complained: warm beer - but hey - stuff happens. I've always found the owners/staff to be uber friendly and have never had a bad meal. It's not the most inexpensive, but nor is it the most expensive. Prices seem on par with the quality of the food and the portions are enormous. It's roomy, not too loud, has nice linens, decor, and a wonderful patio. Given it's location in a strip mall, I feel they've done a great job, even if it initially seems "off". Moreover, the food is worth it. All homemade, fresh, hot and cooked to perfection. They are not Italian - from the middle east - but their food is quite Italian and (to me) very tasty. This is a true "mom and pop"; you will see the owners on site every day. It's not hopping like Olive Garden, etc., but for a nice dinner where you can actually hear your conversation, it's a great pick. And, they also have entertainment a few nights per week, which is nice sometimes. I wouldn't recommend it for small children - but that's just because some children have a hard time being "adults" in an atmosphere like this and it's not fair to expect that of them. It's not swanky or posh, but it's a nice sit-down type of place. Great for a couples dinner, groups, parties, drinks and apps on the patio, or a late dinner on the spur of the moment.

Quaint little family owned restaurant with a friendly vibe and classic set-up. Ordered the chicken marsalla w/angel hair pasta and potatoes. Came out quickly and was great along with the service. Food quality and portions reflect the price, which was fair and affordable.

Great food, great service!

Poor service complemented by poor quality meals really provides a caption for Verona. Prices and traffic belie the reality, poor prep, low quality ingredients and a red sauce my grandmother would be embarassed to serve on leftover night. As an Italian food devotee, I would not return even if the meal were free.
