Hmmm.... mixed feelings here. Positive: the restaurant is very open and the staff is very friendly, the mules are great and the happy hour, if you can make it, is pretty decent since without the happy hour it is pretty pricey Needs Work: the menu is huge and expensive, the cocktails, while yummy, are way to expensive and the staff, while friendly, is really really slow. So I am in the middle here. Not hating it but not loving it.

A+ service and quality eats. Derrick was a great bartender and Matt the manager even came out to greet us and other customers to make sure we were satisfied. Oh and the TV's! Wall to wall HD. Bravo Sasquatch kitchen!

Nailbanger Here Again;Recently this Restaurant offered a online coupon deal I could not pass up. We went during Happy Hour 4-7 and 8 to Close, and they had 1/2 price appetizers, and $3 Drink specials. This place was busy, but we were seated right away. They serve mostly Pub type food. Lots of Burger Choices. Other Reviewer`s commented on Poor Service, that was not our experience at all. We had extremely attentive service in the Bar Area. The Food and Drinks were very Good. Prices were average. I would not recommend the Desserts. They have plenty of well lighted Parking at the Foothills Mall.

Had the Buffalo meatloaf. It was delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants something different but delicious. The staff are very friendly and attentive when you are low on drinks. Customer service is impeccable.

Well this is weird, they are so many poor and mediocre reviews. I almost did not go. I went because my friend is kind of a vegan and they have some nice looking appetizers for her to eat. We went during Happy Hour - they have some rocking prices. Gee I found the food to be really good. The hamburger with sweet potato fries was very hearty and good. Fries were exceptional. We split some french fries that were super tasty - dusted off with some panko breading. Her salad was very tasty with some humus in the center - spicy and good. And garnished with some godawful beets ...... beets taste like farm soil to me no matter how much you drown them in sugar and pack on the spices. I had the house beer which was a good tasting ale. - $8 for burger, fries and beer. Waitress was super nice and checked on us several times. The manager and other waitress popped in for a short check. I am up for a return tasting. Tons of easy parking .... on weekday afternoon.

I have been going to this place since it opened and it seems like the quality dips every time. The first thing I got here was the pretzel burger and it was delicious, however this last visit it was literally a dry burger patty on pretzel buns. The fries were unseasoned and rough, but the service was great. I'll try this place out one more time and see if it's just me. I hope it is because I really did enjoy coming here.

Super upset, the only reason my fiancee and I went to this resturant was because I love dessert and the smore skillit was AMAZING! Now its off the dang menu. My servers have always been really friendly, not very attentive, but certinaly the only reason i can really give this place even a star. The food is ok, its glorified bar food but with a high price. My fiancee got the sasquach burger which was a buger between two grilled sandwiches on texas toast! that was cool, but other than that the food is not worth going. Its very loud since its mainy a bar with a little booth dining room connected so you hear bar goers and the loud tvs the entire meal. Not worth the gas.

Great happy hour specials. Perfect place to watch a game or have dinner with the family. The space is split into bar and restaraunt area. The fish and chips, buffalo chicken sandwich, and pazooki are always great. Best bar/restaurant choice on the NW side.

Awesome happy hour and excellent service! Staff is always friendly and i love the wings! And $3 fireball shots for happy hour is always good!

Great place to go if you sit at the bar. Good service if you're by yourself or with another. Went there tonight with a group of work colleagues. 8 people at 8:00 & we sat in the upper bar. The server was knowledgeable but extremely unattentive. Food was decent all around although the server forgot a dish. Can't say we'll return for dinner again...I'm thinking they'd be better off as a full-on sports bar with a limited menu so those looking for dinner would know not to go there.

The husband and I were going back and forth, asking "what do we want to eat, and where?" He didn't want Asian food, I didn't want Mexican, to-go sandwiches sounded lame AND we had nothing that we could make a meal of in the fridge. So we decided to try the Lodge on a co-worker's suggestion. This is definitely a kitsch place, with the deerheads and log cabin feel throughout the place. Really not my type of thing, but I know it works for some people. It was clean, there were different games on the TV's which was cool, and it was reasonably busy. The husband and I were seated at a low table. Our waitress was nice - she looked like the ideal "Log Cabin" look I think they were going for with her attire and hairstyle.Service was better than I was expecting, which is the most positive thing I can say about the place. The food was not good. Sysco waffle fries, cheap tortilla chips and canned beans on the nachos...just...really not my thing. I can say that I think this would appeal to some people - the food was definitely plentiful, but I look for freshness and innovative dishes when going out. The buffalo chicken sandwich I ordered I was unable to eat because of the massive amount of blue cheese dressing on it - I should have just asked for it on the side, so that's my fault. $45 later and I was still hungry...should have just gone to Chipotle :(

I visited here last night for happy hour. They have discounted draft beer and half price appetizers. I love the fried cheese curds and their lodge brew is pretty good. The burgers are large and delicious, I try something different each time and I've never been disappointed. The service was great and the waitress was attentive even during a busy happy hour. They do a great job pulling off the hunting cabin sports bar feel. TVs everywhere, even a few games to play outside.

I've eaten at both the restaurant part and the bar part and I would recommend happy hour at the bar. The prices are good and the food is good too. Tonight we ate in the restaurant part because I had a Living Social and they do not accept that for happy hour. The food we had tonight was really good. The only thing that I was majorly disappointed about was that I ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich and the waffles were Eggo waffles! Now the same guy who owns May's Counter chicken and waffles owns this place as well. You would think the waffles would be home made right?! But I'm pretty sure they were Eggos. You can look at the picture and judge for yourself, but they were the same size it tasted like Eggos. Not that that was a bad thing because the sandwich was really delicious. I just expected homemade waffles when you go out to a restaurant like this. I have to say that the chicken is seasoned way better at this restaurant and then May's Counter. It is very bland there but this was seasoned well and had the right amount of spice to it. I would order it again. My husband had the border chicken sandwich which came with guacamole and a herb mayonnaise. He said the guac and the mayo was a little overpowering together and that all you would probably need is the guac. But he enjoyed it. Another person in our party tried the chili dog and really liked it. Someone else ordered the mushroom swiss burger and it was huge! I like that they have different kinds of fries you can choose from - shoestring, waffle, sweet potato, or tater tots. According to our waitress they just got a new menu yesterday. Our waitress was very nice.

We decided to go to happy hour. Then found out it was 2 dollar Tuesday and all draft beers were 2 bucks. We ordered the brew, burger, fries deal for 8 bucks. Well the beer we choose was a dollar more. Whatever! Got to say, this one of the worst burgers we have had. No flavor at all! We had to use a bunch of mustard, ketchup, and pepper to make it eatable! The fries were pretty good. We ordered the onion rings. What a mistake that was. All I could taste was the batter that was raw tasting. The waitress was new so the service was good. The place is looking dated and the upholstery in the bar was starting to split. Restrooms were kinda dirty and the mens room had graffiti in the paint. After trying this place 3 different times and 2 have been bad we will not be back unless it is to drink. The beer was ice cold and pretty good. The food sucked

Did I mention how much I love the sangria here? So nice and refreshing. Best time to get it is during happy hour! Only $3, otherwise it's $6. I've come in here during happy hour (many times) and during lunch. I'd have to say the service is super slow during lunch, however, during happy hour, the servers were great! The place gets super busy during happy hour (4-7pm). Lots of good happy hour specials. Great place to wind down after a crazy day at work. For some reason, the service is much better during the busy happy hour times than it is during lunch (super slow). Our server is always attentive and friendly, noticing when our drinks are running low and keeping them filled! =) There are lots of TVs throughout the restaurant and bar area if you're wanting to catch a game or two. Oh, and there are a bunch of fun games to play outside and inside too! Totally fun place to hang out with your friends! The food is actually quite good here too! Burgers are huge and the salads are big! Portions are usually very sizable, enough to share, if you want to...lol. So make sure to come with an appetite!

In the area and stopped in for lunch. Ordered the pretzel burger, medium. It was cooked perfectly and had fantastic flavor....cheddar, caramelized onions, and honey mustard (no lettuce & tomato), with sweet potato fries on the side. It was one of the better burgers I've had in a while, and the fries were awesome. Menu was a tad pricey, but not considering the quality. I would definitely eat here again if back in the area. There were several items on the menu that I would like to try. Server was friendly and attentive.

Happy hour here is awesome! I love their sangria! Plus we have had most of their appetizers and haven't been disappointed. Decent burgers but I have to say I am disappointed in the Sasquatch burger. Giant tower of white bread, huge tomato, decent burger and a little cheese. There was no way to eat it except to take it apart. Wouldn't order that again but will definitely come back for more happy hour apps.

My wife and I visited after I saw the website and we were not disappointed. Five stars for service, quality, flavor, and atmosphere! We started with their fried pickles and pretzels. The breading was very good on the pickles and they were nice and crisp too! I have been to many places where they feel soggy and you lose the pickle flavor, this wasn't the case for me. The pretzels were very good! They came as sticks with beer mustard and some other jalapeño cheese(?) sauce. The mustard was incredible! It was strong and had a great flavor. My wife got the 1/2 Roasted Chicken and I got the Pot Roast. The chicken was very tasty and it had a good amount of food for the price. I thoroughly enjoyed my pot roast. It was with stewed tomatoes so it had a different flavor, and the meat was very tasty. For the price, I had a good amount of food, it wasn't too much or too little. We also had a Backwoods Mule, Cabin Fever, and a Golden Retriever. Their twist on the Moscow Mule was very tasty. The Golden Retriever hardly tasted like alcohol at all, it was pretty much a peach tea with some balls. The Cabin Fever is like a Arnold Palmer mixed with a Mojito, and it is done very well. We were at happy hour so the price was reduced a bit, but for all of that, we walked out paying under $60. What a good deal! I will not be as elusive as the Sasquatch, you will be seeing me again, Lodge!

I have had some great meals at The Lodge. Initially we ate here during the lumberjack games during the summer, which were hosted in the parking lot. We came in and had wings and burgers. They were much better than I was expecting. I have since returned 3 or four times with various friends. The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen most definitely had a big push at happy hour, with drink specials in the bar. There are wall to wall TV's, so you basically are going to see a TV no mater where you are seated. Not a fan of forced TV viewing. They have a good menu selection, with many good things I can recommend. They have a cold veggie platter, with a goat cheese/onion/cream cheese dip that is fantastic! Normally I'm not a veggie tray sort of person. At dinner our friend ordered it and insisted my husband and I try it after his eyes rolled back in his head in delight! It's a great way to start a meal. They have a selection of craft cocktails, and I'm a huge fan of their dark n stormy, served in the copper cup. I've had the Moscow Mule, and it's pretty tasty as well. Of all the entrees I've ordered I've been pleased as their burgers and chicken sandwiches. The stand out so far is their spicy meatloaf which is great! I'd say their weakest point is their desserts; nothing memorable for me. I've tried 2-3 but none so far were worth ordering again.

Do yourself a favor and don't go. The food was under cooked had to be sent back. Our food was thrown away instead of being cooked thoroughly and returned causing a longer wait at one point we got no food no drinks and we had been there an hour. This place has serious management issues when we finally got the food it was actually pretty good but you got a lot a good two hours to eat here.

My husband and I both got the Juicy Lucy, something I wanted to try for a long time. We both agree it was delicious. The flavor was great and the meat was tender. We ordered pasta salad for our daughter. She didn't like it, but we thought it was very good. The reason I give this a four is because the food did take a while to get to us. The service was a tad slow, but they seemed to have just one server, who was nice. The food was also not as warm as it should have been, and the fries were alright. The main dish, though, was fantastic. My husband and I do plan on returning there in the future. They did have lunch specials that looked good, and the Happy Hour menu looked nice. There was a burger, fries and beer deal for $8. If I end up going there during Happy Hour, I'll definitely try that.

Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE games. So I was delighted to see life-size Jenga and tailgate toss/cornhole/beanbags (whatever you prefer to call it) on Lodge's back patio! My boyfriend and I went for happy hour, where we were greeted with great deals. The bar area is a decent size, so it wasn't too hard to find seats. I started with a $3 red sangria (yummy! Erik tried it and said it was too sweet) and we split the Wildcat Fries (even though I'm a Sundevil, I will admit those fries were delectable). Erik also ordered the $6 burger & beer deal. I had planned on splitting the burger with him, but after those fries I was too stuffed to take anymore than a bite of his burger. And it was good! Our server, Raquel, was great! Although she was super busy, she frequently came by to check on us and our drinks were never empty. Even when we went outside for some tailgate toss, she made sure we were taken care of. However THREE times while we were still sitting in the bar, a different server/runner came up to us with various food asking if it was ours. I told Erik if we were less honest (and less full) people we should start saying yes. All jokes aside, I think we found one of our new fave spots in the neighborhood!

This place has gone done from when they first opened. We came here a few nights ago and we were not happy campers leaving. Server was great!! but the food was ehh. We got an order of cheese curds and they used to give you a big basket now its a very small bowl. Friend go fried pickles he ate them but said hooters was better. We then got a burger it seems like now they have frozen patties was not very tasteful and we wanted to get there mac and cheese which used to have jalapeno peppers in it to add some kick... well thats not the case any more. Our other friend got the fired chicken meal came with corn bread and mac and cheese. the corn bread on the inside was fridge cold. Out tab for 2 sodas, 2 orders of cheese curds, burger, pasta, pickles, 1 beer and 1 drink was $66 wayyy to much in my opinion. We wont be coming back any time soon

I don't know why we don't go more often but this place is a breath of fresh air to the northwest side of town. The portions are ample, service is usually very good and friendly" it lacks sometimes when they are uber busy" but that's normal anywhere. One of the best happy hour deals anywhere is their six dollar burger and beer special. Its a delicious burger and a beer how can you beat that?

Okay, never again. I ignored the reviews because I thought it looked like a cool place and there were lots of cars in the lot. This review is about a Friday evening. We were looking for a happy hour spot, so we thought this would be it. AAAh! First of all, the place was full of loud obnoxiously drunk people at 6pm. Not the typical after work happy hour crowd, more the I have been drinking since noon crowd. The language was loud and obnoxious, and the servers were doing a lot of the talking about women's breasts, the "fat old guy" at the bar, and about everyone in general. The service was so slow. The female bartender spent the whole evening flirting with a guy at the bar, and the male bartender spent the night talking about women at the bar. It was bad. It was like a Rugby bar. The food was okay, not great, but seriously, a chef is wasting his time here, this a bar, and not a nice bar. I want to clarify, that I love fine dining, and I love pub food. I really like the food at Rusty's on the west side, and the Tilted Kilt on the east side (and I'm a female) but this place was just over the top a drunks bar.

It's been a while since we've visited, and even though I have written a review about this place before, I had to write another one because last night's food and service was above and beyond. Our server, Stuart, was fun, friendly, engaging and completely on top of things always making sure drinks were filled, dishes were cleared, our food was to our satisfaction, etc. Our meals were fabulous. The onion rings were crispy, sweet and not too greasy. The pot roast, ordered by the three men in our party, was flavorful, plentiful and absolutely delicious. Sandwiches were stock full of meat and were enough for almost two meals. Definitely partake in the sweet potato fries. :) Prices are reasonable and comparable to like restaurants for the amount of food that you are served (which is a lot). Two snaps up!

  • Marni S.

Came here for happy hour after work with about 10 co-workers. You'd think such a big table would have more enthusiastic service from the wait staff, but our server was scarce for much of the evening, and it was like pulling hens' teeth to get her attention for refills or other requests. One in our party ordered a burger & wanted mustard with it. No mustard on any of the tables. Who does that???.. & finally another in our party left the table to hunt down our server to request mustard. We ordered nachos and chicken fingers to share off the appetizer menu. Nachos were meh. Chicken fingers were perfectly flavorless.

The food is expensive for what you get and every time that I've been there the service is poor. Have had the burgers on a couple of occasions, not bad but nothing to go out of your way for. And the service is not very good either, snooty in fact. But like I said the prices are high. I mean a small basket of fried cheese curds for $7.99? That's a rip-off. One time we ordered the "potato skins". I don't know about you, but aren't they supposed to be scooped out potatoes, either baked or fried stuffed with cheese, bacon, green onions & sour cream? Not here, they brought a plate of 5 or 6 potato wedges with some really bland dipping sauce. I asked the bartender if that was correct and she told me that she's never had potato skins before.... Really? Asked for Tabasco sauce and never got it. It was obvious that I'm not the only one that's confused and no wonder that the place is usually empty, won't be going back.

Well at least its not applebees. They had $2 drafts while we were there so thats CHEAP for some hard cider. However the price of the entrées offset some of the savings. The shepherds pie was ok, however it is actually cottage pie and not shepherds pie as there was no lamb in it. I will let you in on their recipe for their lemon poppy seed dressing. Step 1 buy Ranch dressing, lemons and poppy seeds Step 2 mix them all together. the TLTA was interesting although I will NEVER order it again. The avocado is actually guacamole, and there were some peppers on it that were no where listed in the menu. I am glad I tried it but once is enough. Bottom line: I am sure I have had better food in a mall parking lot, and I am just as sure I have had worse in a mall parking lot too.

  • Darrelle R.

Ordered bacon wrapped jalapenos, corn chowder, chili, classic wedge salad and the sasquatch burger. 3 stars based on service and flavors. Jalapeno poppers were good but the cream cheese chilling was thin and light on flavor so it was over powered by the jalapeno and bacon. Corn chowder and chili were both delicious. Corn bread served with chili was under cooked. Classic wedge salad was not a wedge. It had all the ingredients but it was served in a bowl like any other dinner salad. Sasquatch burger is a better concept than reality. Made with Texas toast so there is way to much bread and they use a regular round patty on square bread so in order to enjoy the flavor combination you can only eat the middle. Service was great. Lots of team work. Each course was delivered in a timely manner and we never waited for refills.

This is easily the worst restaurant I've been to in Tucson. The service was slow. The waitress was nice but she kept things. My sweet potato soggy and cold. The Sasquatch burger was ok.

Chose this for a reunion with work friends..it was awful! Ordered the fried pickles, were more like fried rocks, were so hard I could not eat them!! Gave up after 2, was afraid for my teeth! Did break one open by hand, yes, there was a pickle in it..Also..ordered coffee ( I can't drink and drive)...got NO water with it, and one tiny cup..never was offered a refill!! Will NOT be back!

Ate here today for lunch. It's has a great atmosphere, clean, and nice. Our server Emily was awesome. She was informative also very nice. Made us feel welcomed. It's pretty pricey compared to the potions you receive. We had the jalapeño wraps and only came with 4 of those and were very very spicy we couldn't even enjoy the bacon and cream cheese. Emily was nice enough to take those off the bill though. We had fried pickles that were good but again small portion. I had the buffalo chicken tenders. They were ok just kinda mushy and the breading fell off. Most of it was breading also. My partner got the lsk burger and it was awesome she said with baked mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese didn't seem baked though was expecting bread crumbs maybe and toasted cheese on top but just looked like regular Mac n cheese with cheese sprinkled on top. Over all experience was good. Just not a fan of the food or portions. Server was great though! If we go back I'll update my review.

This place has pretty good food, I got the Juicy Lucy burger and it was tender and filled with cheese! The waffle fries are pretty good and we also had the cheese curds which were AMAZING! I'm a ranch lover and the ranch was a little vinegary for my liking but still ok. The service was pretty lousy, I wasn't impressed with the friendliness of ANY of their servers. Our server took forever to bring out extra ranch after he made sure that we knew there was a charge for it. One from our group ordered a cheesecake and it took almost 10 minutes to come out to our table. Overall it wasn't a bad experience but it also didn't stand out in my opinion. I made sure they knew to split the check as we all needed to pay separately and it kinda seemed like it was an inconvenience for the server. The cheesecake wasn't bad but it was pretty frozen in the middle and just didn't taste fresh. One good thing was the music that was playing while we were there. It was nice to try something new but I probably will not be back. I'm sure the servers name was fake but the receipt said Sabrino. All in all the food was average and the service wasn't good.

They have a great happy hour at the Bar area. Apps, Beers, and cocktails usually. It has a great Midwestern cabin feel. Service is good, and a large food selection. Food is above average and prices are fair. They have a lot of TV's, and it is part owned by the NFL's Jarred Allen, and they donate a lot of cash to Wounded Warriors etc so I will give them my money before those who do not help Veterans. They also have Cornhole bags on the patio, and Tourney's on Tuesday nights. Cool find for us, and its a great alternative to som eother sports bars. They are a Vikings and Jets bar FYI.

Been here a couple of times...some of the food is good, some not so good. I feel like it's hit or miss with this place. I really enjoy the decor and vibe so I wouldn't mind returning if invited. I probably wouldn't go there otherwise. The beer selection is decent which I also appreciate. Service is okay, nothing too amazing but not bad either. Definitely a place to try at least once!

The Lodge has a great atmosphere, yummy food, and amazing service! The happy hour specials are very reasonable. I love going there to watch a game of any sort cuz they will have it on one of their MANY TVs. Bartender Chrystal is my favorite but there entire wait staff makes for a great team with superb service.

I love this place!! It has that small town bar vibe and all the employees are very friendly.. The bartenders have excellent customer service and the food has been surprisingly good every time that I come in! They will have a customer for life if they keep everything the way it is!!

I can only speak to the food I had. I tried the fried the fish dinner. I think Mrs. Paul's would have been better. It was probably the worst I have ever experienced. When I got done salvaging the fish from the nasty breading, it was piled up on my plate and looked almost like the same size as the meal when it was served. It was definitely overcooked and maybe old oil. There wasn't much fish inside the breading. I probably should have sent it back, but really didn't think the next batch would be any better. Maybe it was our timing. We were the first ones there when it opened for lunch. I wanted to like the place. The bar area looks like fun, but I don't think I will be back.

Gotta say I love the lodge, more specifically the lodge in sierra vista! Everyone there is soooo friendly and amazing, they make you feel welcome and like your part of the restaurant! Anna and josh are amazing!! Anyway came to the lodge in tucson, complete 180, the staff act like zombies, the food wasn't even close to that of sierra vista and just overall a depressing place!! The people itself made it awesome, the staff sucked!! Go to sv!!!

The people here are great! I love the atmosphere and its kid friendly. Not too many sports bars you can bring your kids too and they have a great time too! The chicken nachos are so delicious! That's my fav!

Terrible. Bland, flavorless food not worth the money. Sirloin was over cooked so we sent it back. Second try; Failed! Same story. Worst cut of beef and completely dry. Manager took the steak off the bill but claimed he couldn't remove the sides from the bill so we paid $6.95 for mac and cheese and fries. Don't waste your time or money on this place. I don't see them being in business very long.

Sad to have to give this place a 2 star, but that's being honest. We really liked this place when it opened. The food was delicious and portion sizes were nice. In the last few months the quality and portions have continually declined. In both the Foothills and Sierra Vista locations favorites like the pretzel burger, meatloaf, ribs, fried chicken and others have all been getting smaller and seems to be lower quality ingredients. Tonight in fact my wife got mac and cheese as a side and they didn't even include cheese sauce in the noodles:-(. Both locations are in previously cursed locations for restaurants. The same fate now appears to be happening to The Lodge. Look for it to be gone by Xmas. Too bad since it was good in the beginning.

  • Mack D.

At the risk of this establishment getting any busier, I give it five stars. The success of this restaurant is owed to Matt, the owner. 2 days before he even opened this place, he graciously donated gift certificates to a fundraiser for my son. Since that time, we have been back to The Lodge, many times. The food is good and reasonably priced, the service has always been excellent and the bar is great for your favorite sporting event! (Chicken wings here are the best in town!) And everything we come here, Matt is busy helping his staff, serving meals, bussing tables or helping the bartenders. His pride of ownership is evident everyday at The Lodge. I am very happy for his success with this business and I look forward to his continued success. Don't pass this place by! Adult AND family friendly. Keep up the great work Matt and all the staff at The Lodge!

The Short: Decent food, too many TVs The Long: I guess I was expecting a rustic feel, not a sports bar. I hear that some people enjoy watching sporting events (ha!) but that's not me. Other than that, the feel of the place is fun! The staff was friendly without being in your face. All the food and drinks were good, but I do have to rave about the Sasquatch Burger. My husband ordered this behemoth - giant burger with grilled cheese sandwiches for buns - and it was awesome! If you are hungry or have someone to share with, get it. Great location and good energy, we'll be back!

We love this place. The staff, food, and decor are awesome. The food is always good, but I wish the prices were a bit lower. I had the grilled cheese with tomato soup and the soup tasted like ketchup, but other dishes I have had are pretty great. Especially their mixed drink selection!

Love this place! Crystal is the BEST bartender!! The other female has NO personality. Was told she is only there because who she is dating!! Food is very good!! New spicy hummus is great.

met with a friend on new years day and she wanted to come here after trying it with her parents. the place seems pretty big and has a lot of TVs for watching different sports. can't say much for what i ordered. wasn't that great, but my friend loved her pot roast. the portions were average, so with a name like sasquatch kitchen i was expecting a little more.

Sat at the bar for Happy Hour and was going to do their "$6 burger and beer" special. Cool! I order my beer, order my burger. Ordered the burger medium rare (it comes out medium well but I'm starving, so... oh well). I ordered one more beer before ends then take my check. To my surprise, my check is $17. What?!?!?! Evidently the burger I ordered isn't the "special" burger that comes with the deal, so I was charged full price. Ummm, miss bartender, why would you tell me about this special and then let me order the wrong thing after I tell you that's what I'm going to order? The place looks really cool, but maybe there's a reason it was basically empty during happy hour while football and baseball was on. I don't know. In any case, the food was mediocre at best. I probably won't return after being tricked into ordering the wrong thing.

Came here after a movie, and I was hungry enough to not want to drive else where for food. My first time here so the interior is new. clean and pleasant enough to make you feel welcome. Although I can imagine this place could be crazy and loud during peak hours. We sat right by the bar and there were many screens around the room to check out your favorite sport event. I thought this might be a place to catch football or b-ball games. I ordered the chicken pot pie because i wanted something warm, as opposed to a sandwich. We also asked the waitress to switch a nearby screen to a b-ball game (it was showing bowling !!!) Drink came, food came, b-ball game never came. My chicken pot pie came in a huge bowl with the pastry top over filling the edge. Looked really great. My mouth went into saliva flooding mode. After a couple of bites, I realized the pie was so salty, I felt like I was drinking ocean water (a bit exaggerating, but not too much), and I kept taking sips from my lemonade to prevent my tongue from being pickled. Sadly, Tucson fell victim to yet another horrible chain restaurant that seems to invest more in ambiance than food. We also ordered the chicken nachos for appetizer and it, too, was salty. I thought it was the cheese they used, but now I know better. Full disclosure: everyone I was with seemed to enjoy their bloody hamburger without complaints. But for me, a 2-star rating is all I can do.

The descriptions of the food are spectacutal!!! However the person who wrote the menu was not the same person who cooked the food. I have eaten there several times to see if the food would get better and that the last time we were there was just an off night. Sadly the food is very consistant and average. The service is good not great, but the food misses the mark.

Decent bacon wrapped jalapenos. Good decor. I liked the large couch to sit on and eat as well as the games to play on the patio with a fireplace (over sized jenga, over sized connect 4 & corn hole). Also no smoking until after 10 on the patio was a nice touch.

My husband and I ate here for the first time a year ago April, and we purchased the LivingSocial deal because we wanted a reason to go back. We both really like Aaron May's restaurants - May's Counter is one of my favorite places to eat. Last night, I ordered the BEC (bacon, egg, cheese) burger and my husband got the fish fry. My burger was fine, but unmemorable. There was nothing on the bun, or any "burger stuff" like tomato, lettuce & onions. It was moist and flavorful, but kind of boring. The tater tots were delicious - super crispy and piping hot. The fish fry, on the other hand, was a major disappointment. As you do when you order fish at a restaurant, you want a big, beer battered plank of fish. I'm pretty sure everyone feels that way. And at $15.99, I figured that was what he would get. Instead, it was a few sad looking frozen fish sticks on a plate with a dish of coleslaw and some waffle fries. You could have made the whole thing for $10.00. He was disappointed, and flagged down our waitress. Samantha was great. She kept our drinks full and recommended other choices on the menu after my husband returned the fish. He ended up with a turkey Reuben instead, which he was really impressed with. It wasn't a terrible experience - we got a terrific waitress, tots were good and my husband liked his sandwich. But I don't see us going out of our way to eat here again any time soon. Pretty sure we'll stick with May's Counter from here on out.

I was really excited to try this place and stuff my face. Unfortunately, this place was ended up being a dud. The positives are that its a nice location and nice building. I went on a Friday evening and thought there might be a waiting time. They have big, flat screens all around the restaurant, I thought they might get some of the sports crowd for the NBA and NHL playoffs. We get there and it was actually pretty empty. Not that that chased us away, but its not all that welcoming, especially with it being such a big place. Now for the bad: the service was very spotty. Our waitress would disappear for long periods. We sat waiting for anyone to take our order for at least 25 minutes. The food took even longer to come out and when it did, it was room temperature as if it had been sitting out for a long while. I went with the sasquatch burger, a burger with two grilled cheese as the buns. It sounds a lot better than it really was. Everything was plain and lacking in flavor. The grill cheese had no taste, I could've made a better one at home. The contents between the grill cheese buns were no better. Nothing was seasoned or had any taste. The tater tots were cold. I went in really hungry and took a few bites of the food and was done. The two other people I went with didn't think much of their meals either. Maybe we went on an "off" night for the kitchen and staff, but I'll pass on coming back.

I don't really understand all of the mixed reviews for The Lodge. We moved into this area of town a few months ago and were looking for a neighborhood hangout close to home. This is IT! We have always receive the best service...love all of the staff and manager! We usually go during happy hour and take advantage of one of their specials, but not always. We always feel like we are getting a great meal and fabulous service anytime we have stopped in. We love that they have a great sound system and tons of TVs. Much better than the competition down the street.,,better food, better service, etc. You should definitely check it out.

I personally thought that the food was great! Yeah, a little on the expensive side, but the food, service, and beer was good! I had the pretzel burger and it was fantastic. My fiancé had the steak salad and he really liked it too. I guess we're just not as nitpicky as some of the other reviewers here! We would most definitely come back!

I frequent the Lodge because I enjoy the atmosphere and most of the people that work there. I'm glad the menu finally changed. I suggest doing that often as it makes people want to come back. The food is very good. I had the Pot roast. It was very tasty but the portion of the meat could be a little bigger. My only complaint is that the hours on the weekend should be 2 am. There has been times I have been in there at 11:30, and they are putting up the chairs when the bar is open another 30 minutes. I really feel like weekend hours should be till 2am like the other bars. Weekdays are understandable. Props to all your bartenders. Glad you put Chrystal back there. She was a great add. She is friendly and talkative. Props to my other barkeeps too. You all are awesome.

Delicious food! Great prices on Sunday! Love the jenga game and cornhole! Big, nice TVs throughout the place. My only complaint is that it's really dark in there. I like to see my food while eating but that's ok. The restaurant is based on a cabin experience, so it's expected to be dark. Definitely looking forward to going back!

Super laid back, very nice patio! We tried 2 different burgers they were both delicious! Server was very nice and brought our food out pretty quickly for how busy it was. At the end when we were leaving our bill took about 20min to come out, only complaint cause I was cold and wayy ready to leave. Recommendation: Just try it

I really like the servers here but jesus are they slow..it takes forever to get a drink here..The food is just okay..nothing to write home about. I'd recommend going early because I tend to go in late nights and that's when they are busy and can't seem to juggle all the customers.

The reviews were pretty mixed but we decided to give the Lodge a try because it was near our house and had a good variety which means that everyone in our party of five was likely to find something. Anyone who claimed their portions were meager must be accustomed to eating a side of beef and a 10 pound sack of potatoes for dinner because no one at our table had any complaints about the quantity (or the quality for that matter). The bowl of soup my mother ordered was the diameter of a Frisbee and several inches deep. This soup could easily have been shared between two people (our waiter did warn her that it was huge). My cousin and I opted for the Buffalo wing appetizer (I had original and she had the bourbon bbq). The menu says it's a full pound of wings; I didn't weigh them but was more than satisfied with the quantity. They were also served with carrot and celery sticks. We also opted for a side of the sweet potato fries to split. If you're a fan of sweet potato fries, you won't be disappointed. My husband ordered the burger that is sandwiched between two grilled cheese sandwiches. He's the sort who will claim a meal "didn't even touch the sides" (of his stomach) but this monster satisfied his beastly appetite. And I don't even think my aunt was able to finish her bbq chicken sandwich. The quality of the food was better than most places that I would categorize as a "sports bar" and the selection of specialty drinks was great. I really enjoyed the "Dark & Stormy". We'll probably go back at happy hour and take advantage of the specials. Our waiter was very attentive. Plates were cleared in a timely manner and he kept our glasses full, bringing out sodas before we could even ask for a refill.. Sure, it's not the sort of place you probably want to take a date for a romantic, quiet evening but it's a great place to hang out with friends and family for a reasonably priced, good quality meal. We'll definitely be back!

The Pretzel Burger was ordered medium-rare and they served it cooked to perfection. The Beef Dip Sandwich was excellent--thin, tender slices of rib roast with a flavorful au jus for dipping. The fries and onion strings were excellent too--not greasy at all.

Wasn't expecting to love this place, not sure why or why not... maybe the name!--LOL--- BUT, I did and I do! It does have a "bar atmosphere" inside, which I'm not a fan of. Would not come on Fri-Sun because of the bar.... But the service was great and our food was delivered on time and correct! We went on a Thursday afternoon, and it was fairly quiet even with all the tables full. The only down side is the menu is a bit small. But we all found something and each of us said we'd get it again! ALSO, MAKE note----COME HUNGARY! You get A LOT of food! Also, I'd suggest to get the sweet potato fries with the new marshmallow dip! YuMMy!!!!! So our family vote is, YEP- we'll go "Squatchin" at the Lodge again! LOL!

I was not impressed by The Lodge after last night's visit. Perhaps I had too high of hopes, but the experience fell quite flat, and even bad at times. The restaurant itself is huge and a little dark. That's ok though, it is a "lodge" afterall. The carpets however, could have seen a vacuum, though. Too much food debris. Meh, no problem. We were immediately seated at a booth that has cushions that squish so low that the table almost hits your chin once you finish descending into the cushion. It was a little weird, but we got used to it. Our waiter was prompt to greet us. It took a few minutes to get the drinks to us, but he was very good with refills after that. He was also very nice. No issues with service at all, which is why I added a star to this review. We started with the cheese curds. To say they were "blah" would be generous. I'm not sure how you get deep fried cheese to taste so bland, but The Lodge accomplished it. Perhaps they shouldn't use cheap cheese. Or they could season their batter. The curds were served with ranch, which was an absolute mistake. Why would you want to dip deep fried cheese, fat on fat, into thick, fatty dressing? You don't. It needs something like a spicy ketchup or something to cut through the fat and change up the flavor. Overall, do not bother with these. I ordered the Chicken Kiev with a twice baked potato and mac and cheese. The chicken was pretty good and the sauce on top was very flavorful. The chicken was tender. The sauce on top had lots of garlic. The side dishes weren't good. The mac and cheese was bland. And why was it dusted in something like crushed Cheetos? That didn't really help. The twice baked potato was also a little bit bland, and where exactly was the cheese that was advertised as being on it? Two little shreds of cheddar is not what I would call a portion of cheese. The potatoes were creamy, though. The outside of the potato was a little bit burned and very dried out and totally not worth eating. My husband's meal was a hot mess. He ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. What he got was a giant bun with two relatively small strips of ICE COLD chicken on it. I have two issues with this. One, our meal came out very quickly, say in about ten minutes. Maybe if they weren't rushing, they could have cooked it to an appropriate temperature. Two, the chicken was cold, but not raw. Can we say, "not fresh"? Because that's what that means. "Fresh frozen" is not fresh. Meh. They brought my husband a new meal, which was hot this time. He actually enjoyed the flavor. I tried the chicken, though, and the breading wasn't crispy like a piece of fried buffalo chicken should be. Maybe we shouldn't be making food quite so far ahead of time. But anyway, at that point, I was done with my meal because it would have gotten cold if I didn't eat it right away, and he was rushing his down his throat because it's awkward to eat alone. The restaurant offered nothing as compensation. I don't need free food, but I would like to walk out of the restaurant feeling appreciated, even after they fucked up our meal. We go to restaurants to enjoy our time together, and we didn't get to do that here, because The Lodge sucks. Even offering a dessert would have helped. We could have enjoyed a course together after dinner was messed up. Truly, the manager, who brought the re-cooked chicken to us, messed up big time. The prices are high for food that's pretty bland and not quite fresh. The management missed an opportunity to make me feel like my meal mattered to them. Overall, I won't be rushing to go back, and I won't be recommending The Lodge to anyone. Meh.

Just like the three-star rating suggests, The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen is okay. If you're going to go there with a couple of friends to watch a game or UFC PPV event, snack on some appetizers, and sit around on the numerous couches or lounge chairs, then this is not a bad option. However, as a place to spend a night out for dinner, it's not recommended. With TVs situated all around the restaurant, it's definitely distracting and often too loud to really converse with anyone at your table. Chances are the people at your table will be looking at their phones all night anyway, so maybe that's not a problem for most people per se. I ordered a Beer Braised Brat and at $6.99, it's the cheapest thing on the menu. Even as a cheap dinner option, the bread that the sausage was served on was somewhat stale and the "spicy" mustard was just dijon (which did not go well with the brat). Yeah, even as I type it out it seems like a snobby complaint, but honestly there's no reason to give something a pass just because it's the cheapest option available. Otherwise you're looking at spending between $9 and $18 per menu item, which might be fine for a single person or even a couple, but a large group would be better off sharing some appetizers and eat dinner elsewhere.

Started off with the Happy hour special "Deer and Beer" Cazadores Tequila and a beer of your choice for only 6 bucks. The beer was good and the tequila was Cazadores. We also ordered an appetizer which didn;t come out until after we finished our mains! I ordered a medium rare Sasquatch Burger which was a hamburger in between two grilled cheese sandwiches, ordered cheddar cheese it came out with swiss and american cheeses and was well done. Being as hungry as I was I ate it anyways. Looking back the hamburger was just a cheeseburger with two extra slices of bread aka the bread to meat ratio was lacking especially for a 16 dollar burger!!. Cliffs notes Good happy hour specials Service/kitchen lacks attention to details Food was expensive considering quantity and quality

I'm giving this place three stars, but only because of its bar. Without the bar to carry this place, The Lodge would get no more than two stars from me. Let me explain. The food is not that good. I went here for the first time on a business lunch and got the Beef Dip with sweet potato fries. And it was just awful. Barely any meat, which was poorly seasoned, and the fries were not exciting at all. Other people had similar reactions at my table. Edible, but nothing special. But, the bar area is so fun! Good beer on tap (Moose Drool, Deschutes Chainbreaker and their own Lodge Brew - a standard Amber beer) and TONS of TVs. If you want to watch a game and drink a cold beer, especially when around the Foothills Mall, this is a solid choice. Mixed drinks are made well here too - strong, but drinkable. I've had a Dark & Stormy and a "Lodge Manhattan," both of which were very good. Yes, I know the Fox and Hound is similar and is just down the street. But this place has its place in the neighborhood. Worth checking out if you're not planning on eating and simply want to have a drink or two.

Holy moly. I don't ever write bad reviews, and I am not the one to put a restaurant on blast as I've worked in one for many years. However, I'm almost positive our server wanted to end her life. She certainly didn't like herjob, and it was apparent that we were just a huge inconvenience to her. I mean...you have to get me pretty good for me to still be upset the next morning and wake up to write a review. During our visit I made sure to always say please and thank you, because I wanted her to know that I appreciated her service. She would barely look at me, and whenever someone in our group ordered something she wouldn't ask anyone else if they'd like anything. It was just a lot of self inflicted running back and forth. Not only was service bad, it was slow. I arrived around 10pm to a pretty empty restaurant. Server didn't come by for about twenty minutes, and took another twenty minutes for my beer to arrive. Bar closes at 2? Not. They close at midnight. Worst part? I know those girls have to pee at some point in their shift. They are obviously ignoring the completly trashed bathroom every time they walk in there to check their cell phones. Come on.....have some pride in where you work. Preposterous.

This place has it all! Great lunch specials Monday through Friday and great happy hour and late night specials and lots of TVs to watch all the big games! My friend and I came in yesterday and couldn't have been happier. We started with the pulled chicken nachos. Plenty of cheese, nicely seasoned chicken, black beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream. The portion was enormous. I had the awesome BBQ pork sandwich. It came served on a brioche bun with crispy onion strings and cole slaw and a choice of 6! different sides. I opted for the tater tots... So so good. My friend had the pretzel burger off of the regular menu. Cooked perfectly and served on a pretzel bun! What a time to be alive! Topped with caramelized onions, honey mustard and cheddar cheese- it was delightful! She had the sweet potato fries on the side which were delicious. The service was prompt and courteous and our drinks were always full. I can't wait to come back for happy hour or to watch a U of A game here!

I was excited to see a new restaurant open up across my work, but when it took 45 minutes to even get my food that excited quickly disappeared. Restaurants that serve lunch need to be efficient, get us in and out, so hopefully as this place settles in, it will get faster. Now onto the good notes... The decor was very charming, like stepping into a log cabin. I loved the faux fireplace and comfy couches, looks like an excellent place for happy hour, very inviting places to sit and stand. The menu had a great selection, with cute but confusing category headings. It really does appeal to the Sasquatch in all of us! I ordered the TLTA, turkey pastrami, a weakness of mine and it didnt disappoint! It was very very tasty served with an ample side of sweet potato fries. My friends ordered the mushroom swiss burger stacked high and the steak salad filled to the brim with blue cheese crumbles, steak and spinach. So I definitely hope this place hangs onto its outpost at the foothill mall. I plan on giving it some more time before I attempt lunch there again, but am looking forward to sipping on a moose drool and chilling on the couch with friends for an upcoming happy hour.

Save your money. This place gives dives a bad name. Service was beyond poor. The chili was awful and did not even come with bread. The food going to other tables looked and smelt awful. My friend ordered the vegi appitizer, they did not even add all the vegis that the menu stated it would have. They even managed to ruin the iced tea. The fumes were so bad from the recent do over that our eyes were watering. They might have aired the place out a little. The menu said home style comfort food. I am so glad my mom did not serve stuff like that. Cheese covered just about everything. The only positive thing I can say about the place is that the portions were huge. But then again would you really want to eat all that greasy food?

  • ULtra. M.

I think this place needs a few more televisions. I counted thirty. You need at least forty to be a contender in the focus-tested, conglomerate owned suburban demographic franchise wars. As such, you could easily trip over a fraternity member here. If you're either pushing fifty years or pulling it, you will be lavishly outnumbered. The saving grace here is the food. I used to think that nachos were one of those dishes that you couldn't ruin if you tried. That is, until I sampled Tucson's offerings. Thankfully, these were the exception. The pico was really flavorful due to it being comprised mostly of herbs. The pulled chicken was moist, and the cheese is supposedly house made. The chips were greasy, but that tells me that they were made fresh, and didn't originate from some industrial fryer 300 miles away. The jalapenos were not pickled, if they were, this dish would have ranked as some of the best nachos I've ever eaten. The chili was solid and had just the right amount of heat. Soft pretzel bun burger done right. I don't need to say any more. Nice, clear graphic design on the menus. Yes, this is important, folks. Overall, a welcome addition to the slim pickin's on this side of town.

Sasquatch Kitchen is a sports bar with Duck Dynasty decor meant to unleash one's inner buck wild child, with trophy heads, carved forest creatures, and rustic wood accents. I suppose Davy Crockett would be pleased with the gigantic Sasquatch burger which, at $16, easily feeds two. The menu itself isn't different from most sports bars - heavy on wings, fried sides, and burgers. In fact, it doesn't live up to its name. I was expecting a unique experience - maybe a buffalo or ostrich burger, instead of the tame, non-bigfoot-like fare served by an attentive wait staff in referee stripes alongside about 30 big-screen TVs. While I appreciate sports bars and we did dine on a busy sports Sunday, the volume from all of the conflicting games was like being joined for dinner by John Madden, Boomer Eiseison, Brent Musberger and Al Michaels all offering simultaneous color commentary. The honey hot wings were sweet but without fire, and the Wildcat fries a bit bland in an overly watery cheese saucy. The caesar was standard. When worn out by a long shopping trip, I guess at least the Lodge is mall-handy.

Another great restaurant from Chef Aaron May!..I am never disappointed when I eat at his restaurants and The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen was no different..The Pulled Chicken Nachos with five cheese sauce, black beans, fresh jalapeños, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream topped on fresh made tortilla chips was fabulous!..The cheese sauce was so awesome I wanted on everything!..I also was impressed with how fresh the ground beef was on my Bacon Blue Burger and seasoned perfectly..and Tots!..I love Tater Tots!..Great with the five cheese sauce..Make sure you have the cheese sauce!

They forgot my chicken on my Cobb salad. I assumed I had read the menu wrong so I ate it without complaining, but checked the menu online and yep, they forgot. Strange. Service was fine. Pretty sure our server doesn't like her job much. I actually tried calling but they dont answer the phone.

It was ok, had stuffed jalapenos as an app, husband needed to use his pocket knife to cut them, $8 was too much. Fried chicken was good, Mac and cheese was a disappointment, I like funky cheese but it tasted like they cooked it in dirty dishwater and it was dry, made me sad. Margarita I ordered was clear, thought she brought me water and it did not taste like any one I ever had before, not good. Might go back but will share something.

This place should be great. The decor is fun and the menu is interesting. On our first visit, we took more than an full NFL quarter to get our food. Mine was not as I ordered it and had to be returned. We gave it a second shot several weeks later. We had a heck of a time getting waited on. After asking the hostess, for help, we were able to order. Food was excellent. Bottom line. If they can manage to provide service at a adequate level, it will be a fun place.

This is my second time here, first time was pretty good and today for lunch was good too! The chicken sandwich was fantastic! The atmosphere here is probably not for everyone since it's more like a sportmans bar but I like it! They have plenty of TVs and always have sports going. The beer selection is like any other place and the prices are about average. I'll be going back.

Are the wife and I becoming regulars here at the Lodge? Possibly but this time we came in during Happy Hour (3-7pm and in the bar area only) and what a great deal they have going on. It was 1/2 price appetizers and $3 domestic draft beers including Blue Moon and the Lodge Brew (a brown ale). It was pretty crowded but we were able to get a booth right away. We had the wings, potato skins, soft pretzels and Wildcat fries. Those four appetizers and a beer cost us $20, which was great. They turned out ok so next time around I will just stick to their burgers, which are delicious.

I ordered the brat sandwich. The roll was fresh and had poppy seeds. The brat was tasty but small, too small, the size of a hot dog. If I didn't have the macaroni salad for a side I would have left hungry. I also ordered the lodge draft beer. It was a hoppy red, again nothing special. While perusing the menu I saw salmon and New York strip for $25 each. Better off at Texas Roadhouse for $15. The service was also prompt and good. The big bummer was fruit flies. Lots of fruit flies. On my beer and food. Not a good sign for cleanliness in the kitchen. Bottom line, typical pub fare, nothing special, the fruit flies will keep me from returning.

Looks like an awesome place to have drinks and apps while watching a game or playing one. The food that I had was pretty bland. I would like to like this restaurant more.

We had a bad experience at this restaurant today. The service was lousy from the moment we walked in we had to wait to be seated because no one was at the entrance to seat us. Th restaurant was not that busy. The waitress when finally showed up was nice but we asked if we could change tables because we wanted to watch something that was on the tv no near our table. The waitress said no problem don't move we can easily change the channel for you. A half hour later we got our food and the channel had not been changed yet. We told her and she said she would take care of it. The food was not that good. Finally the channel was changed. We missed what we had wanted to watch. Then we waited forever for waitress to give us the ill. I had to go find her because we needed to leave. Bottom line poor service and not that good food. We won't becoming back. This place has gone down the drain.

So to begin my party of 5 was moved to a different table within the first 3 minutes and we were not given any explanation. It then took the waiter over 10 minutes to come by to introduce himself and take drink orders. We asked about the happy hour menu which he said was only available if you sat in the bar. Sure i can understand that but find it kind of silly that I would have to sit with alcohol drinkers just to get the happy hour menu. I personally ordered the roast beef sub with au jus and it was a sad looking sandwich. It was a 7-8 inch flat hoagie with about 4 very thin slices of roast beef in each half. The sandwich would have been much better served in smaller size with the beef from both halves. My sister ordered the Sasquatch burger and although we were expecting a nice size burger, it was just so big it was ridiculous and had so much bread that it could have fed a Sasquatch for a week. We also had two Amazon Living Social deals which we announced as soon as we were going to place our orders and i made sure to ask if it was okay to use both since we were paying separately to which the waiter replied, yeah sure! And then only to find out that they wouldn't when he brought us our check. Needless to say, i called Amazon and got my money back for that coupon because Im not going back.

I went with my Best Friend to visit her daughter 6-3-13... We live in Southern California, It was a 8 hour drive.... A big deal was made out of THE LODGE!! We were looking forward to it... The Sasquatch Burger was the main attraction. $15.99 each.. 3 were ordered. What a disappointment.... I think they might have changed ownership or a new cook.... The burgers were very dry. The two grilled cheeses smashed within the Burger was overwhelming. To much bread. The hamburgers were over cooked. I decided that it would be to much food for me so I ordered the Chicken Tortilla soup.... HORRIBLE.. I love salt but the soup was sooooo salty you couldn't taste anything else... And there was no chicken in it.... The appetizers were good, Artichoke dip and potato skins. Small portions though. They also have a place called Smash burger in Tucson. $5.99 or so a burger and it was way better..... Save money and go there!! I would have givin one star but they do have a happy hour deal, Half off apps..... so 2 stars for that!

Two words, don't bother, if you want some North-woods ambiance, then please go check it out but only for drinks. They spent allot of money inside, looks great, kick-back kinda place, but the food is horrible. I had a chicken sandwich with some type of avocado spread, it was, I thought, suppose to be real avocado, very bad and the bread stale. It's a must see, great big family of Sasquatch to greet you outside, great look, but.... it's all about the food, if you don't get it... you will soon be closing your doors..

My "dining trio" (mom, husband Gary, and I) ventured to this new restaurant. It is across the street from my office. So I was eager to try it. It took the place of a Greek restaurant. The outside lot was quite full, so I could see they were enjoying a great turn out! The ambiance is fun and cozy, like a big hunting lodge inside. The new proprietors kept the same structure inside as the Greek restaurant, but changed the wall colors and finishes. It feels like a lodge, with wood finishes, antlered chandelier lighting and timbers for support posts. The bar is the same layout, with a comfy socializing type couch addition in one area. They added many HD TVs (sports). So this is a great place for dates, sports and bar folks to hang out. It was full when we dined there--a major game was playing and it was happy hour. The dining section is separate (or you can eat in the bar area at tables, booths or at the bar). I observed lots of families there as well as all-adult diners. I felt comfortable in the dining area. Service was pleasant and fast; the waiter was eager to please. The menu is not huge, so it's pretty easy to pick and choose. If I had to sum it up, I'd say there's the appetizer/sandwich/burger collection side, which costs in the $10.00 or less general range, and the dinnner choices, which cost in the $17-23 range. We opted for the lower range. They also offer a few salads, soups. Didn't focus on that. Mom and I chose an Ono fish sandwich. She changed out the bread for a brown bread--looked good. I got the usual order and didn't eat the bread (as I'm mnimizing gluten at the moment). The Ono was perfectly prepared and tasty, seemed very fresh, just like they promised. You get a choice of one side: home fries w skin, or sweet potato fries or two other sides. Mom got the sweet potato versions while I got the home fries,so we could try both. The sweet potato ones were delish. My home fries came as normal yellow fries nothing special), so I piped up, asking the status of my promised home fries. Waiter said they didn't have them, which seemed a little odd after he had taken my order for them and played them up quite a bit. I didn't want normal fries (it's an indulgent treat just to get 'em on my diet, so they must be good enough to justify!). He offered the sweet potato ones but I didn't want to take the time to wait. So, just make sure you get the fries you ordered. I'm sure it's a new-restaurant situation as they gauge quantity and consumption, and had run out. Gary enjoyed a large burger (I think they are half pounders) with some goodies on it. He also said the mustard (a Dijon) was also really good. It was pretty silent around Gary--he was busy wolfing it down, enjoying every bite. We enjoyed the food and the ambiance. We'd certainly come back. I'd love to try the chicken and BBQ ribs combo. Just hesitating at $23 for that. Hope they offer "specials." NOTE: the lunch menu is the same as the dinner menu. I asked. And that's the Dining Trio report! Go try it for yourself! Support the independent proprietors!

I've only eaten here once. It was ... fine. The burger was fine, the buffalo chicken sandwich was good. Nothing I'll be craving, but ... fine. The potato salad and mac and cheese were very bland, don't bother. And the tater tots were lukewarm. As other reviewers mentioned, the buns were actually really yummy. Our server was attentive enough, but she clearly did not want to be there. The tables around us all seemed happy, so don't avoid this place if you're in the area. But don't actively seek it out either.

I went for an early dinner tonight, haven't been there before. I like the atmosphere. Service was friendly and pretty good, although we did have a few minutes of empty drinks. Unfortunately, the food just wasn't worth the cost. I got a prime rib dinner ($20) and ordered it rare. It was medium well, dry, and didn't have much flavor. The twice baked potato was nothing to write home about. My husband said the burgers tasted like they were from in n out. So save yourself some mula and go there. If you don't have better choices, just don't expect too much. It wasn't horrible, just not very good.

It's only been open a few days, so maybe it's too soon to really judge, but here goes. I gave this place 3 stars for the beer not the burger. The Lodge Brew is a tasty amber ale that I enjoyed. I ordered the LSH burger. The onion strings were the only flavor on this burger, except for the rare taste of bacon. The burger itself was tasteless. No seasoning, just burger. Nothing to elevate it. McD's has more flavorful burgers. There was also very wet, shredded lettuce that imparted a watery addition to a very bland burger. Hopefully the chef will break out the salt, pepper, and Worcester or whatever. I'm hoping the chef fell asleep and just forgot to season the meat. I'll retry this place in a couple of months and wish for improvement.

Went today for lunch with son and hubby. My son ordered the Pretzel Burger with fries, my husband had the Steak Salad, and I had the Potato Skins. All of us enjoyed and would order again. We all had pomegranate iced tea. Serving size was plenty and wait staff service was great with refills coming for drinks. Will for sure go back. Menu had lots of options for lots of variety. Pricing was about $8.5 a meal.

This review is only for the bar area. Lots of tv, so it is great if you want to watch a game. We had the burger and beer and bird and beer and it was pretty good. My fiancé demolished the burger and said it was good. My chicken fingers were crispy and light and served with honey mustard and ranch. We had three beers altogether and it was less than 20 bucks. All in all it was a pretty good deal, do not expect great service, its a sports bar.

Portions are huge. Appetizers were frozen and not fresh. Wings were good. Sandwiches were good. I will probably go back to watch a game or drink beer. As for the food I would rather eat at Thunder Canyon or Fox and Hound. They do have alot of TV's which makes it a good Sports bar!!

Decided to try the place for lunch/dinner (dunch? Linner? no wonder there's no term for this). Arrived at 4pm on a Thursday. The place was pretty quiet despite it being happy hour (for me, this is a good thing) although as time went on I saw some groups of older folks come in. I will say this, ahead of time. any 'slowness of service' appears to have just been opening pains, because my server was entirely satisfactory about the time taken to get my order, bring my food, and retrieve the check. I was in and out of there in a shave under an hour. It might get a little slower when busy, but then again I had some extra time involved with having two courses. Speaking of courses, on to the food. I had a bowl of their sirloin chili and a pretzel burger. First off, let me say their portions are HUMONGOUS. I made the error (on my end, I admit) of saying 'a bowl of chili' instead of a cup. I don't know how big their 'cups' are, but the 'bowl' would've been plenty for a whole meal. Those giant white bowls some Italian places use for pasta? Yeah, that. Full of chili. Now, chili is one of those things like barbecue, where there's a hundred different regional styles and what one person thinks is the best thing ever, someone else might really dislike. However, for me, they have -amazing- chili, because it's the same style my mom makes. It's 'brothy', with lots of beans (black and kidney), chopped green chiles and onions, and bite-sized pieces of steak, all simmered together and topped with cheese. It was great... the leftovers will undoubtedly be even better tomorrow, because I only got about halfway through it. The pretzel burger was monstrous too. I saw a few other burgers of other sorts going to other patrons and they're all about the same size give or take. It was cooked precisely to my order (medium: pink with no remaining redness), and I swear the patty was an inch thick. They're half pound burgers, but the thing was so big I half feel like that's 'post cooking weight' not pre. It was tasty and juicy. The tomato was pretty pale but it's January and expecting fresh sweet tomatos at this time of year would be pretty silly. It was at least fresh sliced and hadn't been lying around getting limp. It also came with a very healthy helping of fat sweet potato fries, which were also delicious; I like that you can just -have- sweet potato fries with your burger instead of having to pay a 'premium side' fee like most places. Anyway. Overall, it was a LOT of good food for really a very reasonable price. My bill only came out to $18 (plus tip) even given I ordered too big a bowl of chili. Also, they get points for treating a single diner like a valuable customer; too many places will shove single diners off in corners and kind of forget about them because they know they won't get a fat multi-diner table tip from them. This place wasn't like that. I'll definitely be back! EDIT: Okay, it's still good, no I haven't changed my star rating. HOWEVER. They do appear to have a chronic problem with understaffing. Every time I've been at non-peak times (which is about five times now), it's top notch. The one time I showed up on a Saturday at about 7:30pm, my food was cold when it arrived and service was rare and spotty. If that one evening visit had been my first, I probably wouldn'tve been back. Still, though, if you can avoid the dinner rush (and probably the lunch rush), this is definitely great stuff. Also their fried walleye was -superb-.

Weird Happy hour, a little disappointing. The serving sizes are quite large, whether it tastes all that great is up for debate. I would say for the price it's not fully worth it unless you're ordering the "The Sasquatch" burger.

Upscale gastro-pub fare with a nice assortment of non-local crafty type brews on tap. Mooses Drool on tap. Props for that! (...and the 4th star). Soft pretzel for the appetizer, grilled fish sandwich pour moi & BBQ chicken sandwich for her; both with YUMMY sweet potato fries. Focus is on the bar with lots of TVs, Yeah, it's a sports bar. But the food is definitely above par (in fact, way above par). This is the 3rd restaurant at this location. The original was a chain that crashed as a result of the crash in '08, the second was a local Greek restaurant. I hope this place sticks..

This is a very cool new place near the Foothills mall. Nice atmosphere, good food and drinks... An excellent alternative to Applebee's, one of the typical chain restaurants or even Fox & Hound. Plus, its locally owned by the same guys that own May's Counter and The Lodge in Scottsdale from what I understand.

Just ate here last weekend. My husband, and my 2 kids. We were so excited cause heard nothing but great reviews. We had just got our meal(except for my son who had to wait another 10 minutes for his) when my daughter pointed out the line of ants(or maybe termites. So dark I couldn't tell which) crawling along the wood at are booth. I hate ants, so as you know I could not finish eating my meal. I am not talking about 1 or 2, there was a whole colony of them. We will never go back here again, such a shame cause every other place we ate in Tucson was just amazing.

Nice concept but far from open... still smells of paint, the wait staff and kitchen staff needs training and the temperatures of the food are way off. We waited 40 minutes for our food and sent it back. We also hope they print a kids menu soon. I will try again in a few months.... But I would wait until they get their act together.

This is a fantastic addition to the Northwest side! The happy hour offers great pricing on drinks and some food. The atmosphere is laid back and fun and there's always a different mix of people.

I read through the reviews and was surprised at how different the experiences have been. We went while the Cats were playing and had a great time. My son and I played the bean bag game while we waited for our table. The lay out was nice and relaxing, especially outside. The two burgers that we ordered were perfectly cooked, and the grilled chicken sandwich was exceptional. The pico tasted homemade. It had a nice little bite. Our waitress was on point the whole time. Our drinks never went dry. I'm looking forward to checking out a happy hour. I do intend to go back, and only hope my experiences are consistently positive.

Nothing too bad, nothing spectacular going on here. The bads- minimal beer selection, soggy cold fries. The goods- It's walking distance to the mall, where I like to shop off my buzz before I drive. It; has a cozy atmosphere like you;re in Montana, much nicer and quieter, easier to talk than Fox and Hound, and way better food than Thunder Canyon. Other Yelp reviews talk about the huge portions, but my burger and fries were not over the top. We didn't try the appetizers or desserts. Service was just fine. I hope the beer thing was just a fluke, since there were only 3- no Moose Drool like someone else mentioned. I hope things improve because I want to like this place.

I've eaten at the lodge about 4 times now, 3 of which the food was excellent! The one bad experience was a severely over cooked burger. They re-made the burger promptly. The pretzel burger is amazing! The wings are delicious, the pub style pretzel appetizer is also good. I highly recommend the lodge brew beer. It is a honey brown beer and is absolutely delicious. Definitely give the Sasquatch a try.

Very slow service, I would have had a few more drinks if I had been waited on. The server was less than attentive and I tried ordering more but he was in a hurry every time. Tuesday night happy hour and I think he only had 4 tables. Food was good but service was lacking seriously! My Tuesday neighborhood group was looking for something new but this was a disappointment. Same as the other 2 businesses that failed before in the same location. First time there maybe the last.

Yesterday (22 March) at 3:45pm my wife and I decided to come in and have drinks and dinner. The place was very clean and not crowded. We went to the bar and there were only about 7 people and 3 female bartenders. After sitting for about 8 minutes a bartender decided to ask us what we wanted to drink. We got our beers right away. We both wanted dinner so we needed a menu and the 3 bartenders never check on us. I waited 10 minutes and just got up and grabbed a menu. Still no service even after they watched me get the menu. We mulled over the menu for about 5 minutes and decided what we wanted but still no service. Then 2 women came up to the bar and a bartender went right up to them and got them beer. My wife finished her beer and mine was done about 3 minute later. The bartender that got our beers never returned to help us but milled around the bar walking right passed us. Now that our beers were empty about 10 minutes another bartender finally asked me if I wanted another beer but not my wife. I proceeded to tell her our entire experience and she started to apologize and I just said I wanted the check and that they lost out on my business of dinner and more drinks from us. I gave zero for a tip. I am a great tipper when I get good service but not one of the 3 female blonde bartenders deserved a penny. They are hands down the most inattentive bartenders I've seen here in Tucson. I am going to make a point to tell all of my family and friends on the base that have been talking about checking this place out to save their hard earned money. ***UPDATE*** I posted this review on their Facebook page and it was removed within minutes. When I reposted it stayed up about an hour then removed. Now they have blocked me from posting anything. I also sent them an email about this at their website with no response. What does this say about the business when they hide anything negative??

Typical sports bar that caters to young men. Food was decent for sports bar food. Kind of bland, service solid. Could be a fun bar at night with good specials, life size Jenga and cornhole.

The menu at this relatively new restaurant looked inviting so my husband & I decided to give it a try on a Saturday night. When we arrived the decor & ambience were impressive. Sadly, we never experienced the food. There was a 20-minute wait and the hostess asked for our cellphone number so we could be texted when our table was available. When I told the 2 hostesses that we have basic cellphone plans and can't accept texts, their reaction was quite rude. The girls then told us we couldn't sit in the bar area to wait but had to stand in the front lobby since they had no way of reaching us. Seriously? They couldn't come into the bar to call us when our table was ready? They didn't seem to care whether the restaurant had our patronage or not so we walked out. We were hoping to find another local restaurant to add to the list of regulars near our home. Unfortunately this won't be one of them.
