Probably the only pizza place I've ever been to that can pull-off putting lettuce on a pizza. They have three or four different pizzas with lettuce on them (my favorite is the chicken caesar) and they are all delicious. Makes the pizza hut taco pizza look like a sad gimmick. Sauce has gourmet pizza for the same price as chains. This place is also really really affordable. Take a date for under $25 and a family of 4 for under $40. Generous portions and low price more than deserve a 5-star rating.

I love Sauce, I usually go here for their salads because they have a very nice selection. I love the whole pay first concept so I don't have to wait on someone to bring the check after my meal I can just go, that was a great idea I wish more places could adapt to. You can order wine, or beer as well as the usual soft drink, tea selections. They do have really good pizza, personally I get the hand tossed crust if ever I do get the pizza because the thin crust really only leaves me feeling not completely satisfied. The one with the mushrooms and shaved Parmesan is my favorite, and I highly recommend it. They're very cool about bringing extra bread with your lunch upon request. In a nutshell, if you want a good lunch that's more casual and laid back this is a great place.

Great pizza and wine! Friendly and fast service especially considering the work required. The hand stretched dough is fantastic and reminiscent of a small rustic pizzeria. Very reasonably priced pizza and bottles of wine. Would be 5 stars, but the wine glasses were dusty. Will definitely be back!

Every Sauce in town, you walk into and you say dang this place is busy. Well there's a reason because it's good quality food you can't go wrong with. The moment your plate arrives in front of you, you're impressed with how well it looks and you just can't wait to dig in. The blend of flavors of every dish I have ever had has been delicious and I finish every single bite. In addition, the staff is friendly, welcoming and best of all quick, to get through the usually massive line that sometimes goes out the door. Thank you for the great service and savory food. Until next time!

There were about 14 of us all at my granddaughters get together. Service was great and fast. I loved my Caesar salad and the prices were great. Positive attitudes of the employee's. A good experience. You may get lucky with the parking but I say, Parking sucks.

Love the whole Sauce vibe. Order up and get it delivered to your table. Everyone working here was very nice. Love that it's pretty much farmers market fresh. I had the turkey and feta salad. Super yum. Very fresh and the flavors really complemented each other. My aunt had the chicken and pine nuts which she says is her usual. My kids split a cheese pizza and some chicken and broccoli pasta which they loved. Hubs had the lasagna and almost licked the plate clean. I also have to recommend the bruschetta. It's always one of my favorite things to get and here it is stellar. Very fresh tasting and flavorful. I liked the artichoke version best...it was unique. Great wine list, good choices for gluten free as well. Good value for the prices. Gets crowded though so go early if you can.

They have the best vegetable salad imaginable! We have it every time we visit Also love the thin crust pizza and the vegetable soup. We are vegetarians and it's not easy to find great vegetarian food like this. Even if you aren't vegetarian you can't help but love this place. Everything is delicious. The ONLY negative is that is tends to be loud inside-sit outdoors when possible. Also tends to be cold, so if u like the a/c set low, this is for you. I'm A little cold blooded, so again I tend to sit outside

I would have given it five stars but they no longer a part of the Fox restaurant chain and do not accept it any longer. Bummer especially to find out after we placed our order they won't take our gift card. Never even an email stating to the fact that they are no longer part of the Fox restaurant chain.

Not just a pizza joint! Although the pizza is great and they have gluten-free no less! There is something for everybody at sauce! Vegans, health-conscious and those watching our waistline there's something for everybody at Sauce. Love the salads especially the summer vegetable salad. Quick, clean, easy and efficient. Great little outside dining area as well. Great prices.

If you have never been to Sauce, it is high time that you go!!! The food is fantastic, always fresh, extremely tasty, and the portions are large! I highly recommend dining at the location on Oracle in Tucson, the staff there are ALWAYS super friendly and purposely professional. When you leave there, they make you feel you're leaving a friends home after a tremendous meal!! My favorite dish is the Chicken and Broccoli Pasta with cheese sauce, but EVERYTHING they offer is over the top deliciousness!!

For my money the mark of a well run restaurant isn't never making a mistake, its how you react when one happens. Manager here went above and beyond to correct an error. The food, service, and atmosphere was as always, great. That's why we keep coming back.

A great diverse menu for everybody in the family. The salads are really fresh and good ingredients are top-notch the pizza is very light and tasty. Staff is always very nice and pleasant and keep the place clean and inviting. They also serve wine and beer which makes the place ideal for light social networking, Business meetings or first dates!

We love this place- been coming for years, every time I come home for a visit, and it is consistently fantastic. :) We literally have to hit this place up at least twice in our less-than-a-week long visit home! I am a big fan of their pizzas, especially since they've added a 'hand-stretched' crust option- we go for the sausage/caramelized onion every time, but the other are good too. We just can't give up that savory-sweet taste combo! To add to it, they have great salads- personal favorite is the chicken & pine nut salad- lots of great flavors, enough cheese and nuts to make it hearty and the roasted chicken is always good. Reasonably priced, consistent, and great staff. :)

Salmon and kale salad? Yep, tried it and now am craving it, again. It was fantastic, the dressing was light but the salmon was very filling. It also made me feel better about indulging in a few slices of their perfect pie. If you haven't tried their thin crust pizza yet, you are missing out!

I so wanted to like Sauce. I did find every single employee I met to have a great attitude and super helpful. Kudos to the management for creating such a great work environment as it shows to the customers. Now the bad part. I ordered a mushroom and artichoke pizza. There was at most **ONE** mushroom sliced thinly on the whole pizza. I am not exaggerating. I am guessing there was 1/4 of an artichoke. Basically it was a cheese pizza with a few veggies dropped on. In fairness, my husband ordered mushroom pizza that had what looked like a salad on the top (similar to a picture someone posted). His had plenty of mushrooms. There is an opportunity for the Sauce team to figure out why the inconsistency and how to catch it before it reaches the customer.

I want to start this review by saying I LOVE SAUCE, and will very soon add reviews of the Campbell and Broadway locations soon. Both of which are FAR superior to this location. The Oracle Rd location is in an area that you'd expect it to be a nice spot for dinner. Instead it is little better than a food cart roadside. The restaurant is filthy inside and out! The patio was covered with debris and trash. Food particles were all over the chairs and tables. It looked like no one had maintained the area in weeks. Adding to the filth was the kitchen and the area leading to the restroom which sadly passes the kitchen. Food, flour, and ingredients everywhere!!! I've never seen such a mess in a kitchen, connecting hallway or anywhere else for that matter. It was stunning how badly the restaurant was run. To top off the mess, the kitchen staff had missed when tossing their latex gloves to the trash, so it looked like a college dorm room after a wild party! Disgusting to say the least! I don't think I'll be stopping here ever again.

I really want to love Sauce - I think the concept is fantastic, but I always leave feeling my experience was lackluster. I've tried the original crust and the hand stretched. I much preferred the original. When I try a pizza place, I like to start simple, so I've tried the mozzarella, fontina, and basil on each crust. The first was the hand stretched and it was so much crust, that's all I remember. The more recent time was the thin - it was better, but SO greasy. Maybe next time I'll try a salad.

I love this place. Especially the gluten free arugula and mushroom pizza. Always great! About to try the new summer veggie salad!

Sauce is perfect for something quick to eat, but still good! My fiancé and I went yesterday, we had both had a very long day and weren't in the mood for cooking anything but didn't want to go to a full blown sit down and be waited on restaurant. We looked up places in our area and Sauce came up! This place was busy! We waited in line for probably about 15 minutes, but we didn't mind because it gave us enough time to thoroughly look through the menu and decide what we want. The staff is really friendly! It didn't take too long for our order to come out. We got the cap rest bruschetta for an appetizer and a pizza (sorry I can't remember what the name of it was) for the entree. We were pretty impressed with how good it was for how short of time it was prepared for. We sat in the outside seating area, which was nice with the mist. Overall, I'd recommend for anyone who wants to get a quick bite to eat somewhere!

A review too many visits in waiting. Where to begin. I could literally just sit on the patio and drink iced tea and enjoy myself. I'm never disappointed with anything. I most recently tried the sausage and caramelized onion pizza and it was up to the standard I've grown accustomed too. Hot and cheesy, with just the right balance of chewy and crunchiness. Like a perfect pizza samba dancing on my plate. The Mac and cheese is always creamy and comforting. Grab an extra roll with your meal, it's like dipping a small handful of clouds into whatever scrumptious bowl of "Sauce" you've chosen to indulge in that day.

I am disappointed in Sauce. I haven't been here in 3 years and had been craving it. As I'm eating my first piece of pizza I feel hair in my mouth. I pull not one but two short strands of hair out of my mouth (mine is long). I let an employee know and she took the plate to who I am assuming wasthe manager. The replacement pizza was burnt to the point I couldn't eat the edges. The manager apologized for the hair but seemed very "whatever" about it. I expected better customer service from them after I found hair in my food.

I have been eating here for over 3 years and I never tire of it. Best salads ever! I recommend the chicken pine nut or the chicken caesar. Creative and amazing pizza! Good value for the prices and not too expensive. Try it!

I love the food and I love how attentive the people who work there are! When placing an order for take-out, I requested a salad with no cheese and the tomato soup with no cheese. The young man taking the order asked if there was a dairy allergy, because there was cream in the soup. Thank goodness he asked! Otherwise I'd have a sick tummy and not know what it was from. Sauce is another great Fox Restaurant Concept.

I called in a take- out order. When I got there, they had messed up my order. Waited 15 minutes for it. However they had brought it out 10 minutes earlier. Finally I asked if it was ready and he turns around to give me my 2 pizzas that had been sitting there for 10 minutes. Customer service not good tonight and cold pizzas worse

If I'm ever in the mood for pizza I'll be sure to come here. Great food friendly service food comes out quickly and it's very cheap, what can get better than that?

  • Marlo M.

Amazing gluten free pizza. The crust was just slightly soggy in the middle of the pizza but some of the best I've had. Very flavorful. We had the mushroom and roasted red pepper. Our salad was also excellent. The mixed green with champagne vinegarette. The wine selection was small but the wine was ok to decent. Service was great. The inside is a bit brightly lit so not an ambient place but the outside was nice. I'd highly recommend trying it.

Truly as good as it gets when it comes to variety on the menu, quality of ingredients, service and pricing. Not to mention a very welcoming and relaxed ambience. For starters I had their roasted protobello and artichoke bruschetta with goat cheese; first thought after bite # 1: "bruschettas can possibly be THIS good??!!" The veggies were roasted just right, the bruschetta base was soft and perfect and the flavor of goat cheese stood out bold and proud. I do not remember having anything with goat cheese in which the cheese flavor has such prominence. 'had their fontina and mozzarella pizza, with some veggie toppings which was good too. As someone who avoids carbs, I noted that on a day i DO feel like having carbs, Sauce is the place to come to. :-D

Great food! Love this place! We order takeout for our office there, and usually get their Chicken Pine Nut Gorgonzola Salads and a Pizza. One time they forgot to include the salad dressing in our take out bag. When we called them, the manager-Josh, brought it to our office with extra dressing! Very nice place and staff!

    (5)
  • K N.

Overall good pizza. I've only gotten take out so I ant speak to the dining in experience. I am disappointed that the few times I've got a pizza the toppings aren't evenly distributed over the pie. There are slices that have not toppings on them.

It is a decent place to grab a light meal. They should offer a little more protein. Even if they offered a better soup, the weekend having only veg soup is a miss. That is a good idea for a guilt Monday offering, when you have been bad all weekend. Clam Chowder or Chili would be nice.... Turkey chili would be extra nice. PS I vote for Coke products.

I like the food and value at Sauce. Terrific thin crust Margarita pizza , great flavor in crust. The pasta bowl for $4 is a terrific buy. But what sets this Sauce apart for other restaurants is a terrific manager, Adam Marsh. If everything isn't perfect talk to Adam and he will do everything possible to make it so. Watching him in action is amazing, it's like a case study on how to run a restaurant.

Let me just say, AWESOME SAUCE! Literally! This place serves some of the best pizza and Mac and Cheese in town. The staff is very friendly and they are more than willing to help you with anything. The two greatest things about the restaurant in my opinion are the speediness of the service and the atmosphere. The most I have waited for my food is like 20 mins and one time they had my group of 8s food out in 5 mins. Just wow! Every single restaurant should strive to gain this level of satisfaction. The atmosphere is perfect for families and you order first and then go sit down so the proceed is sped up and you get more time to actually enjoy your selves instead of worrying about your food. Fox Restaurants, well done. Very well done. Thanks a ton for this amazing addition in Tucson.

Always enjoy coming here. Always get a side of mac and cheese and the meatball sandwich. The mac and cheese is like the creamy Velveeta box one but waaayyyyy better. Food comes out fast and good service. Ill be back again!!

Great food/service. A little loud but they have outside seating that might be quieter.

  • Lauren T.

The atmosphere here is very comfortable and the employees are always super friendly. The cheese pizza had basil and I was so excited to see that it was fresh basil leaves. I love that because it gives it such good flavor. It was a rainy day so my girlfriend and I sat out on the patio watching it rain. We noticed they had a basil plant and we were envious on how the leaves looked better than any grocery stores. The Chicken Pesto pizza is also good and the crust is good. You can choose to get the pizza thin crust or hand stretched and I like them both. As for the salads I tried the Chicken, Spinach, and Apple. It was very good. My friend had the Chicken, Pine Nuts, Tomato & Gorgonzola. It was also good, but I like the one I had better. The price is great, especially since two people could split one pizza and one salad. My friends all like the mac and cheese there, but I am picky when it comes to mac and cheese, so I just stick with the pizza there. Very good! Haven't tried their wines yet, but I plan to next time. When I got home I found this link: foxrc.com/100days So I am wondering when their half price wine nights and happy hour is... Anyone know?

Food here is very fresh and tasty. Most items are made fresh in house, the tomato sauce was excellent. Will be back to try other options. Meatball panini was very good.

We had reservations for 6:30 and were immediately seated upstairs. The wait staff were always on top of refills and our food was speedy. Finally, the food is absolutely delicious. I had the special and my wife had the scallops-both were gone almost immediately (after tasting each other's plates, of course)

In a word: rustic. For a lunch date we didn't go wrong. Weordered at the counter, found a seat after visiting the fountain and within a few minutes a runner brought our food to us. I had a pannini (mozzerella, salami & ham) and my hubby got a pizza (sausage, pepper and mushroom) then we split and shared. It was a lot of food for 2 people. We probably ate more than we should've but, it was tasty. Our baby really liked the chicken soup broth and bread to nosh on while we ate. I could see fresh herbs and chunks of veggies in the soup. The pizza crust is thin and flaky. We saw a lot of business folk and retirees alike.

  • Megan D.

Love this place! Not a ton of options, but haven't had a bad pie yet. We ordered the rosemary potato this round and split a salad. This was the perfect amount for an early summer dinner for two. The food is delivered quick so if you are in a hurry - The waitstaff attentive to please.

  • Maximiliano L.

Very good thin crust pizza. When you enter Sauce, you walk up to the counter and place your order and pay for the meal. The servers will bring out your food pretty quickly. There are several good pizza options as well as some good salads.

  • Maria L.

I liked the self serve concept of this restaurant...but overall experience was meh. I liked that they had an outdoor patio as well. I wish their pizza was better...that was the only aspect that brought this place down...if their pizza was good then I would of given them 5 stars! The pizza is definitly not my style...very thin crust, kind of like a cracker. And the thing that threw me off was that there was no tomato sauce on the pizza.....how can the restaurant be called sauce when there is no sauce!! That definitely threw me for a loop! I also ordered the Mac and cheese...that was tasty, thank goodness. I would probably come here again to try their salads and paninis...I would give their pizza a try again, if I were on a diet or something!

We have been going to Sauce for over 4years now and we love it every time we go. They have a wide variety to choose from as noted in other reviews. Our kids love the 5 Cheese gourmet MacNCheese and it's at a great price of only $4. My husband and I love the pizzas and salads, and I really like their lasagne, it is made with beef and just the right amount of cheese. The pizza comes in two forms now the more traditional normal crust and their original light and airy thin crust. All cooked in the fire pizza stove. Most meals come with fresh baked rolls. We have never had a bad meal here and it's very reasonably priced, well if you share the pizza and a salad. This is the type of place where you walk in and look at the menu on the wall, and then order and pay at posh counter, then grab a table, or if they are super busy they manage the seating for you. You can opt to sit outside on the covered patio with most of it facing the gorgeous mountain scape so close to you, or inside if you prefer. In the winter they have heaters for the outdoor seating and pull down wind/cold shields/blinds. We usually go here around once every two weeks. Plus one cool treat is right next door at Frost Gelato.

    (5)
  • Chris C.

The food was good. I just think it is a bit pricy for what you get. The servings are large though so you could share a "single serving" pizza easily. Service is good. It is an easy place to take the family out but not my favorite.

If you're familiar at all with Fox restaurant concepts, you should already know about Sauce. I'm pretty sure there are Fox's biggest restaurant. They aren't authentic Italian food, but they don't claim to be. What they are is tasty Italian food served quickly in a slightly upscale environment. Like most Fox restaurants, the prices are a bit high, and the staff is all young. Frankly, that works just fine or a casual restaurant like Sauce. The pizzas are flat. They are thin, they are flat. That's great because that means they aren't half as high calorie as regular pizza, so you can still visit Frost next-door for some awesome gelato. On the downside, one pizza probably won't feed two or three kids like you're used to. If you're looking for something light, I recommend trying the chicken Caesar pizza. It's basically a chicken Caesar salad dumped on top of pizza crust. It's actually really good, especially for lunch. The tiramisu for dessert is actually pretty good, even though it's premade. It's not to die for, but compared to tiramisu that a lot of other places serve its good. The lasagna, sandwiches, and regular solids are also pretty good options at Sauce. Overall, definitely give Sauce a shot on a day where some pizza for lunch sounds like a good idea, especially if you're with friends. The nice casual atmosphere should work splendidly.

  • Tyne M.

I absolutely love Sauce! I've yet to try anything I wasn't a huge fan of here. The salads are amazing and the Rosemary Potato pizza is delicious and what's better than a glass of wine to enjoy both with! And that bread... **daydreams**

i was totally pumped for this place...i'm pretty much into any place that serves cheezy pizza awesomeness. i wasn't let down...but i wasn't blown away. and talk about expensive...if my husband knew how much that pizza cost...*sigh* i'd be in deep shit. i got their version of a margarita pizza...except they put fontina on it, which kinda threw me for a loop...oh, and they TOTALLY skimped on my basil. sad monkey. it was decent tho. VERY thin crust, fyi. one of my girlfriends got the artichoke & portabello mushroom pizza which was tasty...i stole a piece. bad ally. moral of the story...decent place if you are up in BFE...i'd go again if someone asked me, but i doubt i'll take my happy lil self there without prodding.

I originally gave Sauce 3 stars but after falling in love with almost all FOX restaurants and giving Sauce another go I am a fan. Sauce's simple menu, modern atmosphere, consistent quality, and friendly service make it a great place for lunch. Make sure you try the Prosciutto and Melon pizza, it is amazing.

  • Claire H.

We keep going back, so it must be good for the price even though I can't think of anything that is outstanding here, but fair fare. Don't go if you're looking for thick-crusted pizza. Do go if you like it thin and crispy without all those carbs. We usually go for a pizza and a salad and split them for a quick lunch. It's a relaxed atmosphere and easy to get in and out in short order.

    (4)
  • Patrick O.

Meh, it's okay.... I haven't had a pizza here so I guess that pretty much makes my review pointless. However I have had a Panini and a Salad here on different occasions and found that both were quite pleasing to my palate. Nice atmosphere and numerous locations are a plus however at the end of the day all Sauce is is just another gourmet quick service restaurant like Paradise Bakery or Chipotle...

  • Chris M.

I was in town for business and some people in my group wanted to check this place out. I'm not a big fan. I thought the prices were a little steep and the food wasn't that great. The caesar salad was average, but what bugged me is how small they cut the lettuce. That's probably my biggest pet peeve about salads, no matter where they come from. The pizza was filling but too greasy for my liking. As someone else mentioned, the crust is thin, so the grease, not the toppings, filled me.

Everything here is good - the salads, pizza, pasta, and soup. Their summer special of pizza, salad, and 2 glasses of wine is a great deal.

  • Leo B.

Been back and have to say I am becoming a fan especially of the Rosemary Potato pizza. I add mushrooms to it. The crust is still lacking but I could eat a whole lot of that Rosemary Potato Pizza. The help is also great at the Broadway restaurant... friendly, attentive and "accommodative."

    (3)
  • Albert H.

Fazoli's with better interior decorating. Well, maybe the food is one notch better, but nonetheless it is rather ordinary Italian fast food without the inflated prices that you'll pay at the big brother restaurant NORTH with the same owner. Service isn't too bad, but it's hard to mess up when you order at the counter and just have expedite staff and bus boys.

This has definetly got to be one of the best pizza places in tuscon! They have amazing thin crust pizza delicious pastas and amazing brudhettas. Their pizzas seem big but rly could only feed 1-2 people because of the very thin crust. I love the pepporoni. I aldo love the caprese brushdtta! It isti die for!

Very good, trendy pizza 'parlor' and unique, above average salads. If you like thin crusts this is your pizza place.

  • L T.

I have been to Sauce about ten times, and I keep coming back. Why? Tasty light pizzas with rustic and creative toppings, zesty salads, good desserts for the price ($4.00) for the tiramisu and cheesecake. The pastas have been a little hit and miss, but overall this restaurant is a keeper. The staff has always been really attentive, and have fixed mistakes. I had a friend who's salad came out at an awkward time and they handled the error and gave her a coupon for a free item the next time she was in. Modern hip atmosphere-- good for date night, or a family. If you want thick new york style pizza- go someplace else, this place is not for you. Good prices, great patio.

  • Robert S.

I was pleased to find this sort of upscale fast food during our brief visit to Tucson. The thin crust pizza used fresh ingredients and good quality cheese. The salad was tasty and macaroni and cheese were good but the grilled cheese was far too bland, skip it.

    (4)
  • Kyle S.

too overpriced for what you get.. the pizza is just so-so. the front counter guy was friendly though, which is the only reason they get two stars instead of one.

    (2)
  • Kristen T.

This is one of my favorite places to eat!! The food is delicious and the restaurant has a good atmosphere. The only downfall is sometimes their salads are lacking, a few times recently their portions have decreased and I have gotten wilted lettuce. I always get the "mix it up" which is a half salad with tomato soup, so good! And their rolls that come with the salads are the best!!

    (5)
  • Victoria K.

A good "no brainer" for dinner. Take your partner, order a salad, a pizza and a couple of glasses of wine and you'll enjoy. Atmosphere is kind of icky, but the food is good and consistant.

Not a fan. I don't like their sauce. And for a place called Sauce you'd think at least the sauce would be good.

This is a great place to sit and eat. They have an awesome menu, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere! not to mention fancy-schmancy bathrooms. Their portions are pretty big, but it's so good, before you know it you will have eaten the whole pizza! at least, I did!

What a wonderful pizza parlor! This place has some very unique flair but offers traditional pizzas if you're not into fun. They even have pizza with fruit on it! I love this place and I love their food!

There is also a Sauce on Broadway and Rosemont (next to Pei Wei, Target, across the street from Barnes and Noble). Both locations are good. I like the Broadway location a bit more just because it has more space. The pizza here is thin crust. I've tried almost every flavor, and have liked them all. I recommend the traditional sausage or pepperoni, but also be sure to try the prociutto and melon or the potato pizzas. The salads are tasty as well.

Yummy and not expensive, chicken ceasar pizza is amazing, a sald on top of a pizza! Other pizzas are good too, beer and wine served.

this is jenifer's alter ego from tucson.... i would like to say that sauce is hardly a pizza parlor.... so dont be mistaken people. the macaroni and cheese is amazing. to say the least it is an orgasm in a pasta shell.

We had the caprese salad and the spaghetti. The food came out really quick and was fresh and delicious. We really appreciated how kind everyone was even though we were those annoying people who came in 20 minutes before closing.

Decent food, but forgettable and a overpriced, especially given the semi-fast food nature of the place. For less money you could have a fantastic, honest to goodness Italian meal at Guiseppe's just down the street.

I visited Sauce during the summer because of their awesome 2 glasses of wine, 1 salad, and 1 pizza for $20. Sauce has definitely improved with their new artisan pizza crust. That being said while it's improved this year, it's not a huge standout in my mind.

Love the ceasar with salmon!!!!!! Great local place for lunch or dinner! The pizza is wonderful and the salads to die for....had the cheesecake for the first time the other day and it is right in line with all the other menu items! A #1 place

Still four stars, but I had to update and say that I have now tried the Caesar salad and the pepperoni pizza and they are just as amazing!! Something that I thought about though was that I think I will get the Caesar Salad pizza next time because it looked great and it has the things I love the most there, the Caesar salad and their pizza!! Still not five stars though because I just cant get over the seating in their. For the prices they charge and they great food they serve I would think the seating would be better.

Difficult to go wrong eating here. Was everything perfect? No. Will that cause me to go elsewhere next time. Nope. My son and I set out for some Italian Food. Destination was Oregano's. This was my son's last night before school started, kinda like the Green Mile thing here.....sad really. Sauce benefited from Oregano's failure. We arrived a bit after 6pm, line was moving fast, we were happy. We ordered a chicky Caesar salad and a pep/shroom pizza to share. Salad was the bomb. We asked (okay, I asked) for the thicker wheat crust. The only weird thing was...the sauce..at sauce...was not up to standards. Had the pizza's there as often as our government reads our emails. It was a bland this time. Never fear though, you ain't losin me as a customer..to many people in my circle want to live there! Your guest service was awesome Sunday night too. Thank your staff for that!

Stopped here for lunch with two of my coworkers. Customer service was great, food was so-so. I got a caprese salad and shared a pizza. Pizza was very greasy/thin crust. Salad was good / roll that came with it was great as well. They have a great dining area inside and out.

I really enjoyed my lunch here. The cheese and basil thin-crust pizza was superb as was the vegetable salad with a nice mix of chopped veggies. Order at the counter, get your drinks, take a comfortable seat, and relax until they bring you your delicious meal.

Love this place. The ambiance is fun, casual and unpretentious. For about $30, we got a pizza, salad, beer and a glass of wine.We went on a Friday night and the place was packed! It's one of those places that you order up front, but they bring your food to you. We had the chicken pesto pizza (not on the thin crust) and the caprese salad. The pizza was phenomenal. Hot, tasty and the aged parmesan just took it to the next level. The caprese salad was not my favorite though since it was quite bland and everything was too chilled, which I think killed the flavor- not what I expected. Service was friendly and food came fast. There is an outside patio area (covered when we were there) which is a nice touch. But, I will definitely go back though and try the other pizzas and other items on their menu.

If I could do a two-and-half star review I would because Sauce is a definitively average pizza place. The only reason I went with two stars rather than 3 is because the place is very over-hyped. Whenever I would ask what the good pizza places in Tucson were, one of the first mentioned would be Sauce. My wife and I would drive by it constantly and we decided to check it out one night. Considering the great places we've found since (Zachary's, Picazzo's), we won't be heading back to Sauce in the near future. I'm not a fan of the layout of the restaurant. It's self-seating which is a big problem since the place is constantly packed, and there's usually a considerable wait to order food. Of course, once you've ordered your food you have to hope that there's a table available to eat. I could get over the whole ordering and self-seating format if the pizza was worth the wait but sadly, it's not. I like thin pizza but this is far too thin for my liking. Others might disagree but considering the price is a little higher than most pizzerias, I think the pizza should be a little thicker. The menu is also extremely limited. But they do serve mac and cheese as a side, which is a plus. It's not the greatest mac and cheese but any opportunity at indulgence is well-noted in my book.

SOLID ZA & Salads! Been eating here for 10 years when I visit the desert. Always solid thin crust personal pizza's and fresh tasting salads. Toppings on specialty pizza's are very fresh tasting and loads of good choices. If you are looking for great food, freshly prepared food, quick service and a great location...try Sauce! Very reasonable on price. Dine inside, outside or grab some take out. They offer beers and wine too.

Had lunch there on a Friday afternoon. Restaurant is informal but with a pleasant vibe. Self seating. Had a Caesar salad that was surprisingly good. As an east coast pizza snob though the bigger surprise was the pizza. A plain cheese pie was absolutely delicious. The crust was crispy with a great dough taste and the cheese itself had a great flavor without being overwhelming in terms of amount. The whole pizza was light and very enjoyable.

Love their chopped salads. Most of their chopped salads come with mixed greens, a bit of turkey or chicken, some other veggies, cheese, and vinaigrette. It's like Chopped except less expensive - most of these lunch salads are $6-8. I tried the prosciutto and melon pizza today. It's a great combination of salty and savory. The toppings mostly just rest of the top of the pizza though - it is drizzled with a bit of olive oil for the perfect touch. It is a thin-crust, fire-baked pizza. I honestly didn't like Sauce at first, but it was at another location and all I had was a pasta dish. The salad or pizza would be a great lighter lunch choice. Also, outside seating is good probably for only 1-5 people.

This place is not much to write home about. Just your standard run of the mill pizza joint in a fast food type environment. They offered a decent lunch special on the day I had lunch there. It was the "summer sampler" $20: 1 pizza, 1 salad, and 2 glasses of wine(although I opted for beer). We ordered a prosciutto and melon pizza. It sounded better than it tasted. I was disappointed with it after a couple bites. Also ordered a sausage pizza which was a little better but the pizzas are rather small and thin and just not much to them. Salad was decent but not memorable enough for me to even remember what kind it was. Not a bad lunch special but with so many other place to choose from I probably wouldn't go back.

The salads and thin crust pizzas are pretty good. My only suggestion to the restaurant would be to try to serve the guests at a table at the same time. I was served my salad within the first 5minutes of sitting down and my hubby got his pizza a little over 10minutes after I was served. The staff seem friendly and happy to be working there too.

This is one of our favorite places for take-out. Usually on our way home from Mt. Lemmon we will call the order in and pick it up as we pass(we live in Marana). We do also sit and eat there. The outdoor seating is great and a little less noisy than the interior. I prefer the chicken, broccoli and cheese pasta. My partner usually gets the portobello artichoke pizza. Both are delicious! The service is always great and the atmosphere is energetic. The prices are decent and worth every penny (Not sure how anyone would feel it is over priced unless you are comparing it to McDonnalds). If you can't find parking in the front there is more around the back side of the building. If you decide to eat there, go next door to Frost for a great desert :)

Eh. I like the concept and the menu isn't bad, but the value just isn't there. Everything is average except the price. There's better pizza Zona 78, 1702, Brooklyn Pizza, Maynards, Time Market and probably a whole bunch of other places for equal or lesser money. The wine and beer selection is small and boring, and the service, well, you are the service since it's serve yourself. I mean, I can't really say anything bad about this place- it's just not special in any way and there are better values in town if you want mediocrity.

This place was recommended to me by someone who has lived in the area for years. Coming from the northwest, I was not impressed. The crust was the best part of the pizza. The sauce was average. Service was good and staff professional

I live in SoCal but was visiting Tucson and decided to let Yelp guide me to some fine pizza tonight. What a great surprise! This was a take-out meal. Please note- 1 large pizza is just enough for one person, yes really. Crust was very thin and cooked to perfection...not a dry cracker and not a soggy flimsy mess. It was soft in the middle and graduated to a crisp cracker crust at the very edges...for me it was just right. I could pick up a piece and it would stand on it's own with only the very end starting to sag saying "bite me fast" Ingredients tasted very fresh and were not overcooked. The sauce complimented the toppings and certainly tasted fresh. You have to know going in, this style of pizza is not loaded with toppings, you can see parts of the crust and sauce around the toppings......it's the "less is more" approach....I loved it! Dont get me wrong, I also love a good thick sloppy over crusted over sauced over cheesed pizza pie but sometimes you want light and simple. The staff was very friendly when I picked up my 2 pizzas. The best part was the price... A large loaded pizza costs 11 bucks! Ok Ok, yes 1 pizza is sized for one person but in SoCal I regularly pay $20+ for the exact same thing. To me, Sauce is a great deal, a delicous pizza, and well worth a visit. I know it's Tucson and not SoCal but geeeez...it was only $11 per high quality pizza! Thanks Sauce!

Always great... granted I haven't been the most adventurous when it comes to the menu. I stick to what I know is good. The chicken and gorgonzola salad for $8 is one of the best deals going and I usually follow it up the either the portabella and artichoke pizza or the truffle and arugula pizza. Their pizza isn't the best in town as far as pizza fanatics go but it's an always consistent thin crust pizza with fresh, quality ingredients (and perfectly counted and portioned per Sam Fox). If you get a couple courses, be ready for them to be dropped on top of each other but no big deal! The service is consistent and needs to be there when necessary. Management almost always checks in and you don't have to get up for refills if you don't want to. Leave a couple bucks on the table and away you go. A great lunch or dinner at a great price! P.S. the mac & cheese side is pretty solid and it doesn't hurt the Frost is next door!

Consistently good food with fresh ingredients and a casual atmosphere; sit outside to get away from the noise. This is one step above fast food and one step below a restaurant. The service is fast and friendly and the fool is made to order. Eating here is not about being trendy, but eating out while trying to lessen the exposure to crap, processed food by big chains. If saving money in lieu of taste is your thing, look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a consistently tasty meal made with fresh ingredients, look no further.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
