Nox is a beautiful space that hits the perfect vibe of upscale and energetic. They also have Fernet on tap, a move generally only seen in craft bars in large cities. If you see someone on the bar trying to hug the Fernet tap, that's likely me. The interior is eclectic and chic without feeling like it's trying too hard to be posh. The patio seating is plush and cozy while the booths inside are supple and high-backed, a trend starting to become more common in Tucson restaurants. You'll find a mixture of clean lines and quirky accents. Go for the drinks, stay for the food. The cocktails on their superb list are expertly crafted. There's plenty of bar seating and TVs if you want to watch the game or meet some friends. The menu has their spin on favorites such as fish, short rib, and a burger. Truffle fries and duck confit fries are available for your guilty fry pleasures. My one gripe: the portions here are bordering on the very conservative side of "bistro size." A salmon entree came out sized at roughly half a hand and was gone within a few bites. You'll definitely want to get a side and possibly even split an appetizer. Nox folks, consider adding a starch or otherwise filling out some of your smaller dishes. At least one hostess will greet you (two greeted me) and start you on your way. The atmosphere, service, and offerings will take you away. You'll have a lovely time here. Brandon and the gang nailed it on this one. Rich's recommendation: Fernet, duck confit fries, any of the entrees and cocktails.

My wife and I went out on an early date last night. We live very close by Nox and decided to try it out at happy hour. We arrived right at 5pm on Friday, Aug 8, and it wasn't crowded at all so we were promptly seated inside. The waiter came and greeted us and we ordered a couple of drinks -- a Cheech for me and Moscow Mule for my wife. The waiter then asked to see our IDs. I thought he was being funny. I'm over 48 and the Mrs. is over 40. We do look good for our age but not THAT good! I had my ID but she didn't. He insisted on seeing IDs. I pressed the waiter "like you gotta be kidding me." Nope. He said it is state law. Wife said it was Ok and just had water. After thinking about it for a few seconds we decided that it was completely absurd and got up. We told the waiter we had really come out for drinks and since he wouldn't serve us we would go somewhere else. We walked out of Nox and right over to Fleming's where we had a drink and appetizers and a great time. We haven't been carded at a restaurant or bar in 20 years. If the staff at Nox can't discern between underage drinkers and some 40 year olds then this place won't be open very long. They lost our business last night... And guess what? We won't be going back.

I was invited by my friend Chris Cohen to try this place, which doesn't officially open to the public until today and doesn't have any sort of grand opening event for a few weeks. Despite few wrinkles they are quickly ironing out, I could see this developing into a locale where foothills residents can assemble for happy hour, sporting events, dinner, socialize, drink, etc. The atmosphere they are attempting to create is certainly unique to the Tucson area. The attire the employees sport is derived from the late 1800's / early 1900's type of feel (forgive me if I misfired with that analogy, but I that's what comes to mind). Button-up shirts with suspenders and bow ties for the male bartender. Females wear respectable outfits that resemble that era, but I have no idea how to articulate their style. Either way, it assists the unique feel that will definitely attract people to return here. Chris advised that I try a shot of this liquor, the name of which I cannot quite recall, but it tasted like mouthwash and when I swallowed it I could feel it journeying down my esophagus. It's certainly an acquired taste and I was told that most people either love it or hate it; very few fall in between. I supposed I am one of those few. Not sure I would order it again, but it certainly did the trick. I also consumed an order of Duck Fries which were absolutely fantastic and made the trip to the Foothills worthwhile. I admit, I had a drink over at Fleming's before coming to this event, and being a bit of a lightweight, I was already buzzed when I arrived at Nox. Then I had the 200 proof alcohol, so I my recollection of this may not be 100% correct, but I swear on those fries there was Parmesan cheese. The duck was cooked perfectly. It was a not-so-surprising combination that exceeded expectations. I also had some pork sliders and, to be honest, they were a little dry. The meat was a little overcooked. When I was able to locate a piece of pork that wasn't dry, it actually tasted perfect. So, it was obvious they are still ironing out some kinks with the food, which is fine for a young restaurant. Would I suggest this place to friends? Absolutely. Aside from the small issue with the pork sliders, everything about Nox surpassed what I foresaw going in. The service was professional and entertaining, yet slightly dignified. The environment was inordinately appealing (I dug the type of music they played; I don't expect to find eclectic electronic and / or downtempo music in a region like the foothills, but that's what I heard as the night progressed. There are also so many flat-screens in that place I couldn't even count. It's a nifty indoor / outdoor restaurant where dwellers of the foothills can watch Arizona basketball, NFL Football and various other events. Oh, and there are the duck fries. Did I mention those? Oh I did? Ok, well I mentioned them again. They were ridiculous (in a positive way).

Holy awesomeness! This place not only had great food and service, but a super cool atmosphere as well. Their custom-made drinks were magnificent. Little things like that make a huge difference to me. The food was equally as impressive. The salad was bursting with flavor, as was the ahi tuna appetizer (I ordered as a meal). My guest ordered the salmon dish, which was also cooked to perfection. Five BIG stars for this hip place located in the Catalina Foothills. Will certainly be back during my next visit to Tucson. Go try this place, people!

Oh, Nox... I love thee so much. Let me count the ways.... Went here for a late dinner on Thursday night around 9pm. The place was lively and the service was on point. We both ordered the Salmon entree which Roy recommend cooked at medium. It was such a splendid decision. It was perfect!! We both commented on how the brussel sprouts were still vibrant green and they weren't the usual bland or the typical "brussel sprouts with bacon" path. They had a hint of wassabi and were paired with butternut squash. It was so warm, spicy and inviting. I'm a small eater and usually end up with a box to go but this time I licked this plate clean. We ran into friends there and pushed tables together. The staff was very accommodating and remembered our names even when we first walked in. Amazing service. Will be back... probably weekly at this rate. Roy + Matt and everyone are awesome! Sunday Funday here I come.... mezcal + tamarindo candy is due for trying still.....

We had lunch here on a random stop to CVS nearby. We weren't expecting much due to the 3.5 stars on Yelp. But we were very happy with our mean and service, I give it a 5. We had the crispy cauliflowers for app and it was delicious. We then had different tacos. The most memorable was the chili oil that came with it, definitively the highlight of the meal.

Came here for happy hour and didn't even get to the menu! We sat as a group and had appetizers. The cauliflower is to die for btw. Our service was great and the food was great. Clean environment as well. I recommend it

We literally tried to order everything! We had to pull in another table! We will be returning to cover what's left on the menu. Cocktails were spot. The atmosphere was good and they have generous outside seating.

Went for Happy Hour tonight! Nice selection .... Between 3 of us - one not drinking we spent $100 gratuity not included. We sampled every item on the happy hour menu minus the salmon cakes, as they were out and misters the roasted corn dish that I had had before. The calamari and rock shrimp were both very good - fresh tasting but a little rich and heavy for 100 degree weather just because of the nature of both dishes - deep fried. The wings were not your typical chicken wings and very good - cooked nicely, meaty and spiced deliciously. My favorite items: the calabacitas tacos and short rib tacos ... Hello yum! The Ahi looked good but sometimes I'm not into the raw-cooked thing in a taco and tonight was one of those nights. I drank margaritas all night and uh they were as potent as they were tasty! Excited to go back! We sat in the patio which was really lovely with the misters considering the time of day and heat.

My husband and I ordered the carrot soup and the calamari. Both were tasty, but the portions for the price were very tiny. The soup bowl was more like a cup of soup. We didn't feel the food was worth the money.

The place looks nice but the food is really bad and I got sick right after eating there. I ordered the "old fashioned" and my eggs were cold and rubbery. I got it with two tiny pieces of bacon. My boyfriend ordered the French toast and it was different from what the way it was described on the menu. When we asked the waitress she said the food had been changed but they still didn't have new menus. Then she proceeded to say that if we wanted the food the way it was on the menu then we should have told her. Well, how could we have guessed that the menu didn't reflect the actual food??? Nevertheless me and my boyfriend couldn't eat together and his food came after I was already done with mine. Definitely DO NOT spend your money here.

I ordered pork short ribs and I got beef short ribs. The manager may not be from St. Louis.

Ehh.. it was ok.. nothing to write home about.. We went just after they opened a little while ago... It wouldnt hurt the chef to use some salt.. and the service was ok.. The girl was training, so I get it.. The people watching was fun.. but I'm not rushing back.

AWESOME. I went here for brunch on a Sunday it was the best ever. The drinks, food, and service was spot on, and the patio view was great. I definitely recommend this place for brunch, and now I want to go back and try their other meals during the day.

I have some favorites at Nox that keep me coming back, but now that I've been 3 or 4 times, I can see why it's not a 5 star place. The service is not great in a few different ways. I've waited up to 20 minutes for my wine, which seems about 18 minutes too long and the last time I went, I waited for the 4 available servers/bartenders to stop talking with one another for 15 minutes before they came to me to take my order. Why do I keep going back?? The appetizers are amazing. I can sit and chat with my friends and hear everything they say, even though there are tv's on and music playing. The food is consistently good and the happy hour menu is satisfying. I'll keep giving it a try, simply for the artichoke appetizer!

I went to Nox on a Friday night with a group of 4 friends. We were looking for drinks and some light bites. Between the group, we ordered 6 of the cocktails. I really enjoyed the Mexican Fire Drill, a spicy tequila drink. The waiter reccomended anything with the short ribs, so I ordered the short rib tacos. You get 2 street (small) tacos, but I have to say, they were well worth it. I am excited to return for a dinner where I eat more!

After hearing so many great things about Nox, we decided to try it out. My husband made a reservation for four of us and when we arrived the hostess had no record of said reservation. Instead of saying, "I'm so sorry, I'm not sure what happened..." she and the other woman working the hostess stand made it seemed like we lied about ever making one. Luckily, it wasn't busy. In fact, I was surprised at how dead it was. We ordered the calamari, fried and chef's board for appetizers - all were delicious. Our drinks were also good, but I can only comment on the Ranch 32 Cab which I enjoyed. I think everyone enjoyed their main courses as well. I was the only disappointed one. I ordered the braised short rib and the meat was wonderful but the "yukon golds" came diced and were covered in some sort of white sauce. The menu didn't mention this at all and they were incredibly bland. Our server was sub-par but the man who cleared our plates was awesome (wish I could remember his name!!) and on the way out, the hostess was incredibly cold. Didn't say, "thank you" or anything. It seems like the staff needs to take a course in service. Don't work in the service industry if you don't know how to be polite! We wanted another drink but decided to head somewhere a little friendlier. It wasn't the worst experience but there are many more restaurants in Tucson that we'd rather give our business to!

We have been here a couple times for happy hour and several times for dinner. So we're on our way to being "regulars." The food quality is excellent, and prices are good -- good value for the money. (Roasted cauliflower and lamb chop appetizers are very good, salmon and short ribs entrees are tops.) Service has been WONDERFUL. We ate here one night with a friend who had suffered a stroke. The restaurant was very busy, and our friend insisted on trying to order himself, despite a great deal of difficulty in making himself understood. Roy, our waiter, was SO PATIENT, caring and compassionate -- he was just the best. Tonight we were back and he waited on us again (without our friend with mobility and speech impairments) and again, Roy has got to be the best server in Tucson: he's knowledgeable, honest, competent, efficient, and friendly without being obsequious or stuffy. Nox is not a fancy, "white table cloth" kind of place, but for a friendly, cozy, fun place in the neighborhood, it doesn't get better than this.

Ahi Tuna Poke appetizer. Thats all you need to know. This dish alone will bring me back to Nox time and time again. Ahi Tuna set on top a creamy avocado sauce (think the fluffiest guacamole possible) with delicate chips to dip. The signature cocktails were delicious as well, and the decor is super fun. Its definitely the new kid on the block and it can hold its own. The only thing that I wasn't a super fan of was all the entrees seemed to be overdone. I felt like I had seen everything before..except the ahi :)

The atmosphere is great. Nice outdoor patio and fireplace. The food is good. I wish the Ramon noodles was still on the menu. :). The staff is very friendly and helpful with suggestions. We will definitely be coming back.

Six of us stopped by there last night, great food and drink. Duck fries, Fish tacos, Duck tacos, salads and their signature NOX burger, all raved they were great!...Good tap beer and bottle wine selections.

Came here this past Saturday for a relaxing early dinner with my bf and of course my puppy Cotton. I called in advance to see if dogs were allowed on their gorgeous patio and they said that they were definitely allowed. The service was great.. everything we ordered came out in a timely fashion, and water was refilled quickly as well. We shared an order of the chorizo mussels, and the duck fries as appetizers, and then we each got an order of the ramen..... let me say that the chorizo mussels in their lobster broth was divine.. it came with some Parmesan bread or whatnot.. and it was perfect to mop up the extra broth... the duck fries were delicious as well. I was almost expecting them to be fried in duck fat but they weren't.. they were more like shoe string fries w/ some duck meat sprinkled generously over them. The ramen they served was personally not my favorite, I didn't even finish my order... If I were to rate the ramen it would get a solid 2 stars out of 5... and although the pork that was put on top of the ramen was amazing in terms of tenderness... it was oversalted, which seemed to be the general problem overall. Tbhe little broth (very little very little broth) they gave me just tasted like salt water... and the bamboo that came w/ my noodles was soaked in soy sauce.... Noodles were also sparse as well. I think Ikkyu serves much better ramen than Nox... and furthermore it's cheaper there too... so I think I'll have to stick to Ikkyu's ramen.. Other than that I think I will definitely come back... just not for the ramen.

Nox fills an important niche in the plaza on the southeast corner of Campbell & Swan: finally, a worthy patio. The sliders are jam-packed, sweet little sandwiches chockablock with julienne veggies and thick slices of either pork belly or short ribs. Even the house salad pops with a refreshing, light vinaigrette and creamy balls of fried goat cheese. The pedigree of the owners and staff is truly impressive, and all are attentive and detail-oriented. I was a little sad that they don't have Patron, my partner's favorite. He had to settle for Siete Lenguas (seven tongues?). The Moscow mule is a featured cocktail here as well as at Union, the busy older Nox twin. The interior is "grandfather's library chic" with polished concrete floors which challenge stiletto-lovers like me. Accessing the restrooms requires a behind-the-scenes journey that is going to lead to a disastrous collision at some point unless the floor plan is re-worked. Fox and company are apparently staging a north side restaurant coup. I am on board!

I am highly disappointed at my experience here today. After visiting Nox last week, I had such a great experience that I changed a reservation from Tavolino to here, because I think it would be a more contemporary type of dining experience. I regret having changed locations, and wished this whole experience could've been avoided. *management reached out within a day in good gesture to make things right and I appreciate that.

  • Duy N.

update: management did reach out to me, which is appreciated. i'll give it another shot sometime So I came here for happy hour last week. The drinks were pretty good (I like boozy drinks). I got the improved chelsea, which was good (gin, maraschino, absinthe, bitters). Didn't expect pink, but whatever. Next I got a Brooklyn, which is twist on a Manhattan, also good. Last I ordered fernet on the rocks, very interesting, but you can get this at any cocktail bar. Ok on to the service and food. The lead server was pretty good, knew the menu well and knew his drinks well. I ordered the pork belly and short rib tacos. 3/5 stars at best. The tortillas were simply not up to par to what they have in south Tucson. The short rib meat was tender and pretty well marinated. The pork belly wasn't that crispy or that savory. Each order is 2 tacos and I was able to finish 4 without much problem. I ordered a side of mushrooms and those were nicely sauteed. The Brussel sprouts were decent, though they could have been crispier. The artichoke hearts were also pretty good. The ambiance is nice and lively, typical of any trendy new restaurant. Similar to the feel in La Encantada. So the reason for the 3 stars. We ordered for dessert the Burnt Caramel Creme. Awful... Since it's not a creme brulee there was no burnt caramel on top. Rather it was like a pudding that tasted like overburned caramel. It was all one uniform flavor and texture. There was an strange aftertaste that made it worse. We immediately told the server this was inedible and actually had him taste it. For all his good work in serving us up to that point, he initially tried to analyze the flavor and texture, which I give to some credit, but when something is bad, it's bad. And I don't bash on things like this, check out my reviews. He should have taken it off the bill, but he didn't, so that's the minus one for service. For trying to be a new trendy restaurant, this was a poor way to end the experience. I'll give it another shot when I get the chance. Also, on another note, I'm trying to sort out this place's identity. The menu ranges from modern american, to tacos to ramen. Looking at other review the ramen is lacking and in my experience the taco was lacking. I think this place needs to focus more. To some degree, this place is like The Abbey Eat and Drink, and 47 Scott. Some people like it, but I find it a common trend that these places in Tucson don't follow through. These places try to be something that they are not. As in, this wouldn't cut it in California or DC. There's definitely room for improvement and the menu needs some revision. DON'T GET THE BURNT CARAMEL CREME.

Experienced NOX for the first time the other day and can't say I was thrilled with the service or food served. We started with the rock shrimp which were pretty tasty maybe a little undercooked and not as crunchy and satisfying as I'd hoped. My mom started with the vegetable soup of the day and was greeted with the cup half full and luke warm. The tacos were tiny and nondescript and the highlight of the meal was the delicious chicken parpadelle pasta, my only complaint is that it had more chicken, lastly was the chicken sandwich my sister ordered which she enjoyed. Pretty mediocre meal for the price and expectation the only thing I would return for is the pasta and wouldn't expect any sort of special service as the waitstaff seemed very out of it and unfriendly. This place has a lot of potential and can hopefully work out some of these flaws.

Nox so great... This is the second time that I have eaten here. First experience wasn't anything to write home about, but it okay for a newly opened restaurant. Now fast forward almost a year, and things have definitely gone south. When we came in, there was a friendly hostess that seated us quickly and the wait staff was friendly too. However, to be frank, the food SUCKED! let me rephrase, the small portion that was given to us SUCKED! I got the Ahi tacos ($10) which was basically a gold fish covered in lettuce and sauce. My friend and I were still hungry after our $30+ meal. Expensive restaurants in the Foothills like Nox are held to high standards and this restaurant does not meet even the lowest standards.

Visited Nox for the first time on the recommendation of a friend for their newly implemented Sunday Brunch. Upscale casual decor with a nice patio and lots of TV screens. A Hemmingway theme to the decor and menu; not quite sure what the tie-in between Hemmingway and Nox... Brunch is order off the menu with an option for bottomless Mimosas. Nothing says brunch like bottomless Mimosas. Food choice and quality? Good and good. They advertise local sourcing. Another plus. Price? Not the lowest, not the highest. The price range is such that this place will be an occasional visit as opposed to a regular weekly stop. Overall, well executed. Good job Nox!

  • Linda D.

I can't write a review of the food, since I didn't try any. What I will review was the lack of service. I was seated on the patio immediately. It was towards the end of Happy Hour. I chose NOX, since I was staying at a nearby resort for a short stay cation, and wanted to try their food. Well, I sat and sat. In 10 minutes, a server whizzed past me no less than 3 times, never acknowledged me at all. Too many times, I have been ignored as a single woman dining out. I got up and left. Guess my money was not good enough for them. Their loss and Zinburger's gain. I will never return and will let my friends know about their shabby treatment.

Great Happy hour for drinks. I have not tried the food yet but people that were sitting next to us at the bar were ordering food and it did look good. We will definitely go back for sure to try the food. We went on a Sunday because it was all day happy hour. Cant wait to be back.

Nice looking restaurant, but everything else was mediocre. The service was blah, they went through the motions, but lacked passion. The female waitresses actually seemed to have their act together but the male host and chef may have been one off... The food was good, but expensive and the portions were just too small. The best thing I tasted was the Ahi Salad.

  • Tommy T.

ALMOST A HIT! Great decor, location, and service. Went there last night for the first time and ordered the daily soup (roasteded corn) WHICH THE WAITRESS SAID WAS A BUTTER BASED SOUP? WOW THE WORLD IS MOVING SO FAST! I've never head of such a thing, is it me? It seemed to be a valoute based soup ( flour, milk, and butter) the soup was good, but no much of it! ($6.) Then I had the roasted beet salad, again nice ( maybe missing something?) but not much of it! ($8) I also never got any bread or crackers with either item. I heard the table next to us ask for some bread and waitress said it would be extra$$. My wife ordered the ramin soup with pork, noodles, and egg, NICE WITH EXCELLENT FLAVOR, but not $15 dollar nice! They did an excellent job on designing the place and the ambience inside and out. This is a great place for late night. They knock two dollars off their regular prices on food for happy hour. ($11. Burger becomes $9.) Flemings has a $6 happy hour burger that will be hard to beat! (M-F) With a few small adjustments this place would be great. Sometimes you need to give a little to get a little. Let's hope they see this ideology and make the changes to jockey into top place.

A new restaurant like this had me excited to try it out. The inside of the place is so neatly designed. The waitress was very good. The good was where I was a little disappointed. We tried the asparagus and I was a little disappointed. The asparagus was cooked well but bland. My girlfriend has the mahi mahi tacos and those were pretty good. I got the chicken pasta dish and it was good. Everything was cooked well but it was all missing something... SALT. The pasta needed to be salted and same with the asparagus.

This is my first review and I really felt it was needed. I love to cook but also love eating out . It's very exciting to see all the new restaurants opening up around town and I really want them all to succeed. I've been to Nox many times now. I have to say it's been so inconsistent last night being the Worst!!! Waitstaff were inexperienced, appetizers came out with the dinners and only one was hot. Had to send two out of the three dinners back for various reasons. As you know Restaurants seem to come and go around here so please guys pay attention and remember you're only as good as your staff. Sincerely

Super clean. Nice atmosphere. The staff is extremely nice and the food was very good. Would definitely come again and I would recommend it. And just so you know, the yelp coupon expired: "like... last march or something, so yeah, it doesn't apply anymore. We just haven't taken it down."

My husband and I tried Nox for the first time tonight for our date night. Cons: They did not have our reservation on the list, but they did seat us very quickly. Our ice tea sat empty for a bit, but it was very good And when the bill came our card was charged for the wrong amount, but we noticed and they did fix it right away Pros: Nice atmosphere Friendly staff And DELISIOUS food We had the salad greens with tomatoes, pistachios, balsamic and goat cheese balls. It was so very good! My husband ordered the flat iron steak with Chimichurri sauce it was delicious! I had the braised short ribs with potatoes and carrots. It was like a new spin on old comfort food. We really enjoyed our dinner and will be back!

First visit since it was Jasper's. Very much improved ambiance. The courtyard is extremely inviting. Tried the calamari which were fine but a bit over breaded. My guest and I both ordered the fish and chips. Nox needs to either fix the dish or take it off the menu. Mushy fish, and coating both heavy and exceedingly oily. Attentive service and good drink pours.

Went to Nox for brunch. Ordered the mahi mahi tacos and the chilaquiles. The tacos were fantastic and the chilaquiles were good as well, but could have a bit more flavor. Also ordered some Mamosas, which were also tasty. My wife and I will definitely be visiting Nox again. Happy hour is definitely worth your time.

Five stars for the atmosphere, lost one for a waiter that was at best - inattentive and minus one more star because it wasn't OBVIOUSLY apparent on their website that many of their items on the weekly menu are NOT available on the Sunday menu. What was available was what I would call limited. I came wanting the Seared Tuna Sandwich, what I ordered was the Brunch breakfast sandwich and it was disappointing. In all fairness my guest did like the Hash plate. Beware of the Brunch menu on Sundays. I might come back during the week..

Went last night with a group of girlfriends after work. Like others have reviewed, the service was sketchy and the food was not up to par. We ordered the artichoke hearts, cauliflower and cheese board as appetizers. With the exception of the cauliflower, which was delicious, the appetizers were disappointing. The cheese board was extremely over priced and came with nothing to eat the cheese with. The artichoke was too oily and undercooked. We asked for extra bread for the cheese board and received it after we had finished our main dishes, as in we were ready for the check. And we were still charged an extra $2 for it. I split the burger with a friend and the pretzel bun was delicious. Our server blamed the kitchen for bringing the bread out late and blamed another server for stealing one of our drinks before she could bring it to the table, 10 minutes after the other drinks were delivered to the table we finally received the skinny hound. Not worth the time or money, unfortunately none of us plan to go back.

Great service, short menus, definitely attempting to be trendy. I like food experiments and seeing what does/doesn't go together, but after tasting and asking friends for feedback, I WILL adjust the recipe. The soup was...orange and really bland. Nice texture, warm enough, but....meh. Calimari. . too heavily breaded and the sauce, hmmm, was it made from that orange soup? Tacos were ok. In general, the food seemed more about the write up of the ingredients than actual execution. Like others, our food came out 1 or 2 plates at a time, with long spaces in between, so some people watched as others FINISHED their meals before they even got a plate. And some random people( yes random, like the chick in the brown sweater and black slacks with long blonde hair she kept futzing with-she wasn't the hostess, she wasn't the expediter, what WAS she doing?) brought food to the table. Let me say the best dish we had was the flourless chocolate cake - that was delish. Our waiter was amazingly good. His advice was always spot-on, his service was respectful, helpful, and sweet. They don't serve tea or "fancy" coffees because Starbucks is nearby and threw a legal net over other establishments' beverages and deserts; but our waiter offered to go over there just to get hot tea for us. That's Service! What's with the stuffed animal heads? And those tacky non-matching dollar store vases with candles? I guess if I add up the stuffed animal heads with the dark colors, and the TVs, I realize . . . it's a place for dudes! No wonder I didn't feel comfortable! No wonder it was only guys out on the patio! Ok, I'll take my $$ elsewhere.

The Nox Lox was perfect. Salmon was chilled at good temperature and had a good smoked flavor. The bread slices were soft. Combined with the greens it gave a good and nice flavor. Service was great, and the server was attentive.

I have to update my review because I have become a big fan of Nox. Service can still be slow (unless you sit at the bar) but the Ahi Tuna Poke, Spicy Rock Shrimp AND Ahi tacos are really good. They keep us coming back. And they have good beer choices which is a big plus.

Just had Sunday brunch at Nox. First time for AM meal- have eaten there before for dinner or appetizers. Sat at the outside bar which was so pleasant with great weather and enjoyed watching sports on all 4 TV's. Had a delicious meal- the ginger blueberry pancakes are wonderful. The short ribs benedict was delicious and the banana bread tasty. I would definitely go back for Sunday brunch.

Wow! Looooooooonnnnnnngggggggggg overdue in the Foothills. I read about this place a couple of weeks ago and anticipated it's opening during the reno. Last night, as I approached, the patio blew me away. I can't wait for it to warm up a bit so that I can sit outside. I am huge wimp and heaters or not, fireplace or not, too cold for me. But it looks so fun! The hostess was attentive, greeted us immediately and I took in the décor as I was seated. Cool. No other words.....just plain cool. The bar is great - long, lots of chairs, encompasses the patio as well as the restaurant and has a big screen for those nights I beat the crew for drinks. The booths are inviting, plush and raised. Wall color and art - perfect. The lighting, on the dark side, like a restaurant should be! And now for the most exciting thing on my list - the music was amazing!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't listen to the Foothills grey beards and change, alter or turn the music down. I can't remember the last time a dining experience in Tucson was peppered with the perfect mix of music. Alright, the ambience is a hit. The staff, attentive, pleasing to the eye, good at their jobs. The food, wait for it................very tasty! I had the cream of mushroom soup. It's homemade. Not from a can. Homemade and so good. Creamy, full of that raw, musty mushroom flavor. The salmon followed. A chili aioli was drizzled on the plate. I asked for more. They brought it and I poured it on my food. It was so good!!!!!! Ingredients fresh, food seasoned, "different" flavors without being so out there I am afraid to try them. The verdict - Foothills FINALLY has a cool little spot with great music, good food and service. SHOCKING! But true. And now I am afraid they will get so busy I won't get in. And I definitely plan on making this a favorite spot.

Really don't like being the first to give Nox there first 2 star :-( We had reservation, made them because of all the buzz we heard about Nox, knew it would be crowded, at it was fairly busy. We walked in, informed the hostess we had reservations, provided her with the name and was asked how many people? Someone else had the menus and continued to have a conversation with each other while we stood there waiting to be seated. Lots of open seats. Toke us to a place on patio we sat down, only to be told they had made a mistake :-( moved to another table or booth. Sat there ordered drinks... Table seated next to us, after us got drinks and apps before us and received a lot more attention then we did. We waited to order, waited for drinks, and for our food. We ordered calamari, grilled veggies and the burger, along with mussels. Preparation was outstanding ... 8 mussels for 15 dollars? The place it nicely decorated. We will not be back. We felt like 2nd class, all the tables our server had received special attention , we didn't Especially the table next to us :-(

I have only been there for lunch so far but will be back no question. Service was terrific! I had the NoxBox lunch with delicious squash soup, duck tacos, and incredible bacon brussel sprouts. Even if you dont prefer sprouts you'll love these. Service was very attentive and prompt and decor will inspire you to look in ever corner. My only regret was that they wont honer a Jaspers gift card that was bought shortly before they suddenly "closed for remodeling." It would have been gracious to at least offer a portion. The outdoor eating area is also expansive and comfortable looking. Can't wait to try a happy hour and sample some of their craft beers. Welcome to the neighborhood Nox!

There were good points and bad points. I think they are having a little bit of an identity crisis. I went for happy hour/dinner last week. We sat on the terrace and the atmosphere was great. The server was attentive though perhaps a little too so. He was knowledgeable on the menu. My drink was way too strong, really tasted nothing but the alcohol. The waiter offered to water it down for me. Would have rather he offered to add something other than water but whatever. The starters were amazing. My friend talked me into the poke though I was skeptical because I'm not usually a fan of tuna. It was amazing. Would highly recommend this. The rock shrimp was also excellent. A perfect crispiness that was a pleasant surprise. If I come back it would be for starters only. For my main course I had the short rib tacos. The flour tortilla was flavorless, thick, and chewy. Not something I would expect to find in Tucson. The filling was good but difficult to enjoy with that tortilla. I didn't see much else on the entree menu that I would like except one or two of the fish dishes. So for now I would recommend go for happy hour and starters.

First impressions of NOX were, wow they made a lot of nice changes to the old Jasper's. We were greeted warmly and sat down in the new very comfortable outdoor seating. The waiter was not enthusiastic at all. My friend asked for a wine recommendation and the waiter says I don't like wine do I have no idea. We worked our way around that misstep and ordered the duck confit fries. Awesome! They ran out of pork belly for the tacos. I really wanted to try them. I settled for the fish tacos. They were tasty but the tortilla wasn't soft like it should have been. The balance of the dinner was good. I attribute most of this to a new staff and will give NOX another shot. I hope the waiter finds his personality by then.

I came here twice during my stay at the embassy next door(which was also great). The ambience is perfect with great sounds. The beer menu is that of a gastropub. The food is amazing. The crowd is typically young and well dressed. Duck fries are actually served with pulled duck, and the bacon pretzel burger is perfect. On top of that, for an upscale restaurant, the prices are much cheaper than the competition. I payed 48 for a burger, duck fries, and four 9% microbrews (if you have to say that is expensive then you don't deserve this place anyways). I highly recommend.

Met some girlfriends for happy hour. $4.00 "draft" wine which was good. Pork belly tacos, mahi mahi tacos, and beef tacos. All delicious. But our favorite was the popcorn shrimp, juicy and succulent. My friend took three girlfriends there a couple of days later, and they all loved it. The service was very good. I also bought a gift card for a friend's birthday. We will definitely go back again.

With a party of 15 people the waiter didn't try very hard to work for his gratuity. We found a bug swimming on our food, the orders were wrong, waiter mixed up our plates, and the food was plain. Of course he couldn't control how the food tasted, but the waiter didn't even apologize for mixing up our orders. He put an order of tomato basal soup on our table and we all looked at each other trying to figure out who it belonged to.... No one ordered it and all he said was, "Well, it's yours now!" (That was the most he said to us the whole time aside from taking our orders) Then when we told him about the fly in one of the dishes he just picked it up without a word and left. When he came back he threw a new plate in front of us and only said, "No bug in this," before quickly leaving again. He never even told us his name.... It really shows that good customer service really does make or break the experience.

Nice lively atmosphere, excellent service by Armando, food vey bland. Since I go to a restaurant for the food, I would not return. The pork belly slider was not crisp, tasted like coleslaw rather than pork and the bread was undercooked. Better value elsewhere.

It's frustrating when new restaurants open without first training their staff in guest service. Had a reservation but told we would have to wait one hour unless we could sit outside (it was very windy that evening). After asking to speak to the manager, they found a table inside. Drink order was wrong... finally spoke with manager, who seemed inexperienced and not interested. It's a great location, I hope they find better staff.

The salmon is excellent! I like my salmon cooked, not raw or even medium in the center. Even though it was completely cooked, it was still moist and tasty. Will definitely eat here again.

There is nothing better than a great setting outdoors on the patio shared with friends and family, while eating healthy comfort food. My favorites to date is the rock shrimp, the sae bass, short rib anything, and flour less chocolate cake dessert. The kale salad is always a great lunch option and the Nox Box is a fun way to try new things. A great place to spend quality time. Always a hit.

Let me start out by saying that I frequently dine out, as well as have worked in many upscale restaurants. I decided to go to Nox with my dinner and young son. Upon walking in, I could tell that this restaurant was definitely not kid friendly, but decided to stay anyways since my son is normally well behaved and we just planned to grab a quick bite. The restaurant is small, but has a very nice/ trendy decor that reminds me of a Brooklyn restaurant (where I used to live). When we sat it took over 5 minutes for anyone to even come to our table. A server had told us our server would be over soon, and then finally came over and said that she would actually be our server, I don't know her name since she didn't introduce herself. We decided to order a salad and 2 orders of tacos (The calabacitas and mahi mahi), thinking this would be enough food. I asked if we could get bread to tide my son over, and she said they could bring some for a charge, which I declined since I figured our food would be out soon. WRONG. We waited about 25-30 minutes before any food came out, and our server never even checked in with us. In my experience, at an upscale restaurant you would be expected to wait about 25-30 minutes for a well done steak, so I have no idea how our salad and tacos took so long, or why our salad didn't come out first, but if the food is going to take so long then you should really offer bread service or at least check in with your table. By the time our food finally came (about 45 minutes after arriving, after all the waiting we had done), my son was antsy to leave (I think we all were), so we just boxed it up to go. When we got home, we discovered the "salad" was basically just lettuce with one ball of crispy goat cheese and a couple pieces of dried fruit, and almost no dressing. The tacos were basically tortillas that were hardly filled. My mom said her mahi mahi tacos were good, even though the pieces of mahi were smaller than my pinky finger. I enjoyed my calabacita tacos, although they were extremely oily. After eating our "dinner" (which was $35) we were still hungry, so I made a nice dinner at home, since what we got from Nox was really more of an appetizer. Note to our server- you should really warn your guests of the plate sizes so they can order more, and check back with your table (especially if you have so much time to stand around and chat). I won't be returning, it just doesn't make any sense to waste money there since there are so many excellent restaurants just across the street.

Disappointing! Can't really stress this enough. Bad service from start to finish. Food is fine but there are plenty of choices with fine food and much better staff. The price is fair for the area. The patio is terrific. I live close enough to walk and love an early evening stroll for some drinks and apps in the patio. But no way am I putting up with paying for their rude and slow wait staff. Hopefully this will improve. I would like to see restaurants do well in this area. The decor is ok...busy. They claim it is Hemingway inspired...ok. I prefer the classy looks of Union and Tavolinos, or the modern, chic feel of Proper and Hub.

Went to dinner with expectations of good food and good service. Unfortunately, neither occurred. I knew the menu was limited, but it looked interesting on their web site. We were given the "old" wine list. They haven't been open very long. How can they have an old wine list? Wine is extremely over priced and very limited in choice. Our server was frazzled from the start. She didn't know what they had at the bar and what they didn't. They don't have two very common scotches. Finally, our friend found a scotch they did have. The bartender didn't know how to serve it. Despite asking for the scotch over ice, with a splash of water and lemon twist, it came straight up in a very small glass. When asked to correct the order, it came back in the same small glass with one ice cube. It took a third time to get it right. The one drink was $10! We ordered the grilled beet salad (again, not cheap). We had two very thin slices of beets, four grape tomato halves, no goat cheese (as described in the menu) and the rest lettuce. My Mahi Mahi tacos had 2 very small pieces of very over cooked fish. I could go on and on, but I'm sure you get the idea. All of this took 2 hours. Also, this was a Wed. night and there was no parking. I would save your money.

Went there on a Saturday recently at 6:30 PM. We were the first to be seated indoors on a hot night. Comfortable banquettes for four facing the bar. If you get one of the banquettes, it sure is cozy! Try the Shishito peppers, amazing! Had these in LaJolla last week and NOX does them best! I can't begin to tell you how good the Cilanto Black Rice is! Served with the tacos, you can't help but wonder why you haven't had black rice before! Short ribs, great, Brick chicken, great! Cant wait to go back! This place has a hip vibe, which is what the Foothills needs! I wish it was a larger space......

I've always had good experiences here. The food is creative and tasty and the house wines are decent. Their cocktails are well made but small. I've never had a problem with service but also haven't been here during a super busy time. The patio is a great spot to hang out with friends.

First time here and we were totally impressed. We started with an appetizer of the short ribs and were blown away! The Nox Brick chicken was delicious. I had the mahi and it was perfect if you are a fish lover. But the roasted vegetables were just superb. We will for sure be back. Service was exceptional and friendly. If you are in the neighborhood its worth a try. And if they have it please do yourself a favor and order the Blondie brownie.... It's pure heaven !

Went in with a coupon which wasn't honored. Ordered drinks and never saw our server again. We don't need to know that you are having a feud with yelp and therefore not honoring their promotions. The manager was def a help.

Bottomless mimosas Sundays for $16. Roasted street corn delicious!!! Spicy rock shrimp so good, perfect amount of spice. And tacos for $3 can't be beat!! We tried Short rib and mahi mahi. All were amazing and the cocktails were also delicious.

We came here for a celebratory dinner and had a great time. They have a nice outdoor patio in the front with string lighting- somewhat romantic except they also show games on the TVs screens. They have a good variety of beer and cocktails. We started off with the Beet Salad which was great with the goat cheese and beautifully plated. Then we had the Grilled Corn which was amazingly cheesy/creamy and come with a few tortilla chips. We had their Burger for the main entree which was perfectly juicy and I loved that it comes in a fresh soft pretzel bun. The thin truffle fries that it comes with were overly addictive. Service was good.

Love the patio and the decor! Nox has a hip, vintage vibe that is unique to the La Encantada area. I've come for both dinner and happy hour, in which I sampled the Chef's Board and the Short Rib tacos, and I was not disappointed by either. For cocktails I've stuck to the Floradorita, which is a champagne twist on my all-time favorite cocktail, the Flora Dora, and the Sol Elixir. Both are super refreshing and great for summer!

I will definitely go back and explore the menu more and hopefully can then move to a 4* where it probably should be. The bar was set very high as I heard lots of great buzz about Nox but on this visit it missed just a little for me. The service was best part of the night, top notch staff, server was very professional, responsive and on his game. The staffs attire, friendliness, demeanor, etc. all are a perfect compliment to the concept and enhance the experience. We started with the poblano soup and although it had a great flavor it wasn't at the appropriate serving temperature, it came out tepid, lukewarm. And the soup was served fast so its not like it was sitting around waiting to be served. Miss. For entrees the wife got the salmon and I had the burger. I wasn't totally in the mood for a burger but In my opinion when a burger is on the menu at a place like this you expect it to be amazing but it fell flat for me. It was overcooked, (ordered medium rare) and it was almost well done. It had good flavors and I am sure it would have been better had it came out medium-medium rare. Bacon and cheese were nothing special and the pretzel bun was too dry and I tossed it after a couple bites. I also can't eat much, bun and all, so that is probably on me as burger probably eats better with the bun on every bite. The fries were good but nothing special. Had to ask for an aioli to fun it up and the chipotle aioli was tasty. The wife's salmon was tasty, loved the chili flavors and brussel sprouts, different enough from the usual salmon dish so that one scored big. Was a little overcooked though. Was too full for desert but maybe next time. A suggestion on a way they could improve upon the experience is making better use of the space and decor in the back. The place has a great ambiance when you walk in but it loses everything in the back where we were seated. I would like to see better decor in the back and you have to do something with that big empty space in the middle. I know its a weird shape back there but need to get some fung shway going. Our table was against the wall and then next to us a huge empty space with visibility into all the server areas. And a big plant that the servers bumped into every time they went back there. There is also a a very awkward 2 top in the corner along the bench seating. I am picturing consolidating the server stations to one in the very back and putting in two big butchers block tables and seat family style. And/or wrap the bar around and create some fun seating out of that like a breakfast bar/nook with just one butcher block. I think the decision makers could get some great ideas from this place holeman-finch.com it reminded me of what Nox could be. Same deal they are in a strip mall with a weird shaped space. It would seriously be worth a quick trip to Atlanta to check it out and have a great dining experience while there. With a few tweaks like holeman and finch Nox could be a home run.

Great dinning experience. Looking for a nice spot for a quiet meal that would be enjoyable and this hit the spot. Had the burger, bacon, grilled onions, and tilmok cheese....and brioche bun and fries. The staff was friendly and on point to check to make sure all was going well. The décor and lighting were relaxing and eclectic. Nice spot. Seems popular for the alcohol and cocktails, didn't partake but had some nice flavored iced tea which was tasty. Nice spot. Would visit again.

My friends and I went here to watch an NFL football game. We had great seats and a great TV, but I kind of like to pig out when watching a game but this is more a place for small eats and a couple drinks. Otherwise, you just spend way to much. I had the calabacitas tacos. The waiter sold me on putting some cheese on them and I seriously think that the tacos would have been perfect without the very small amount of cheese they put on them (the cheese was kinda burnt) and oh yeah they charged me like $3 bucks for that cheese! A little steep knowing the tacos were only $7. The Nox Burger and Fries weren't all that bad. One of my friend substituted for truffle fries but there was not enough truffle oil because I felt it didn't differ in taste that much. I didn't venture into any mixed drinks and instead went the wine route after the messed up my friends simple order of a draft beer bringing him a bottle... Yeah. Maybe an off night for the waiter, but otherwise he was friendly. I think they are slightly overpriced and could use a slight bit more organization, but gosh do I love the layout and ambiance. I do agree with other yelpers that they need to work on the back, but the front and bar area are beautiful!

It was my first time at Nox, even though we live within driving distance. I had heard good things and suggested to my husband that we try it. My experience was pretty disappointing based on my expectations (and the prices at this restaurant). Here's what I have to say: this restaurant is extremely disorganized and does not function like a upper-end cocktail bar if that's what you're looking for, to the point of absurdity. Here is what I mean: - My husband and I received our drinks at different times, even though we both had beers on tap. - Our appetizer took 10-15 minutes. Not usually that big of a deal except... - They brought an entree out less than one minute (I happened to check the time) after our apps. Whaaaaat?! In a restaurant that is around $20 a plate I expect time to enjoy each course. One minute? And it was the bartender who brought our entrees out. Why was he serving our table? Our server had a look of surprise on her face but didn't say anything, which shocked me a little. Anyways, that was really disappointing. We wanted to enjoy the apps before we started on dinner. Like in a normal setting. - Which brings me to this: our entrees were served several minutes apart. Dude, this isn't a family barbecue, you can't just bring plates out whenever is convenient for you! This is a nice restaurant. People are served at the same time unless you can't carry all the plates out at once and have to go back for more. That was not the case. So my food sat there and got cold while my husband waited for his for no discernible reason. Seriously? Onto the food. I had the short rib tacos. They use corn tortillas which completely overwhelmed the flavor of the short rib. I would recommend they switch to flour. They served fries on the side which honestly tasted like Ore Ida or some frozen brand. My husband had the fish and chips. They were the most bland fish and chips I've ever tasted. I don't think there was even salt on them, let alone any type of seasoning. He ate one fish and I could tell he was still hungry afterwards. The only reason I feel compelled to give this restaurant an extra star is because their cocktails are good, they have a great beer selection, and they have the best music of any restaurant/bar in Tucson. However, that's not going to be enough to sustain them in the future. My advice to Nox: train your kitchen on when it is appropriate to fire dishes, and train your servers to know how long it typically takes a person to enjoy each course. Give people adequate time because you are pricey and you can't rush people out like a McDonalds. And keep your bartender behind the bar instead of having him run out everywhere. Figure out your food situation. Your menu is a bizarre conglomeration of random dishes. Every successful restaurant does something extremely well. Looking at your menu, nothing jumps out at me as "THE Nox dish" that I would tell my friends about. Your food leaves a LOT to be desired and it doesn't have much of a theme at all. Develop that theme and do it well. Be a little more generous with the food, or simply make the food better. Most restaurants in your price range either have some sort of small bread plate to start while people wait for appetizers, or at least a side included with their mains. These small things make a world of difference when people are hungry or just feel like getting their money's worth. As it stands now, I would say with vehemence that I would not order another entree. This is because, unfortunately, your entrees don't stand up to quality on their own. You need to either improve the taste of your dishes or provide more for the price your customers are expected to pay. Sorry to give a negative review of a restaurant in our area as I know it's competitive. I hope Nox works towards improvement, or at the very least, scratches dinner altogether and just becomes a great cocktail bar with a few appetizers to serve. I think even just that would be an improvement for this restaurant.

Nox is definitely the new cool kid in town. By far some of my favorite interiors in Tucson. Masculine touches such as hunting paraphernalia and Hemingway quotes on the menu are perfectly balanced by the feminine, for example, the wall of pretty mismatched frames. Wish this wall would magically transport itself to my house. The food is great. Very impressed by the tacos. I highly recommend the pork belly ones. They are essentially pork carnita tacos complete with a great authentic yellow corn tortilla. The sauces come in cute little grass jars and are delicious and taste freshly made. Color this Mexican satisfied. The ramen, though good, is not my favorite menu item. But how cool is it that you can eat ramen and tacos in one sitting? The pasta is also really good, and a good portion. The flat iron steak is good and is accompanied with a really flavorful chimichurri sauce. I was lucky enough to try a couple of the appetizers at a Yelp Elite event- a lot of winners there as well. Huge (HUGE) kudos to the music that plays at Nox. It sounds like my personalized Pandora/Spotify music feed and it made me so happy to eat such yummy food with music I enjoy. During my Valentine's Day dinner, I got to get my nom on while listening to Lykke Li and Empire of the Sun. How awesome is that?!? Totally smitten. Looking forward to spending some more time here.

We tried Nox for the first time during Happy Hour. They had a fairly expansive HH menu, great for those looking for a quick bite and some cocktails. The specialty cocktails are delicious and don't skip out on the Tacos, all 4 kinds are amazing. The downside to Nox (both times we've visited) is the service. SLOW! Especially on the drinks. The second time we went we both ordered two drinks right when we sat down. It still took them 15 minutes to bring them out and it wasn't even that busy. After both drinks were gone we sat around waiting for the server to ask whether we needed anything else. Same experience the first time. The food is delicious, convinient location, and great atmosphere, I just hope they can get the staff together on the service.

Great new find! Went with a friend for brunch/lunch on Sunday. Decided to sit inside since it was ridiculously hot. Interior decor was very neat! Sort of like a gentleman's library at an old manor house, but not at all stuffy. One wall was covered in different framed photos and pictures, another wall had large glass cabinet/shelves filled with interesting chotskys. Taxidermied animal heads, but not creepy, very dignified. Anyway, I thought it was a cool vibe. Dining room is pretty small though! Service was very prompt, very attentive, and very friendly. We took our time, about 2 hours, and never felt rushed or like the waitress was resentful about our lingering. Lots of delicious things on the menu. Really wanted to try the short rib benedict, but healthier choices won out. Shared the chicken and feta salad, short rib tacos, and street corn appetizer. Salad was well-balanced, creamy feta but refreshing vinaigrette. The tacos were a bit of a letdown, however. Tortilla was nicely charred and about medium sized, but there was only a tiny, tiny bit of filling. Proportions way off, needed more meat and slaw or a much smaller tortilla. Left us feeling a little jipped, especially for $3 per taco. Street corn was delicious though, very generous portion, we even took some home. Overall, I was very pleased, and plan to return again with my husband.

This is a great space inside and chic looking patio outside. We were greeted immediately and seated at a table for Happy Hour. They have a small but well curated wine list. We opted for 2 glasses of red wine that paired very well with the short rib tacos and calabacitas tacos. Both were delicious as was the spicy rock shrimp. Don't miss the roasted cauliflower. It was outstanding. The service we received from the staff was excellent. We passed on dessert but will definitely be back soon!

It was my second time here and definitely less favorable than the first. C and I got off work early (woohoo!) And decided to hit a happy hour, which we never get to do! It is New Years Day, so our first option, Zona 78 (our fav!) Was closed so we chose Nox. My hubby hasn't been here yet so I was excited to show it to him. I liked or okay the first time so with my very best friend I was bound to love it, right? Incorrect. It was ultra mellow inside. Which is fine, except the whole staff was standing around chatting, to the point of sacrificing our experience. We sat at the bar with Ashley, excited for some food and drinks and were underwhelmed. Ordering off happy hour, I got calabacita tacos and C got short rib tacos, wings and calamari. Our food was small portions as anticipated, which is fine! It came out quick as well. My tacos were fine and the hubs thought his food was pretty salty and not exciting. The tacos were pretty bad for him. He expected a kick of flavor and was disappointed with small amounts of short ribs and no flavor. Bummer! The cook was standing on the line on his phone, blantly checking Facebook. Maybe if he took his eyes off his phone he would have looked at our meals for adequate portions and ingredients. I guess the part that killed it for me was the bartender telling a buddy that 'the struggle was real and just couldn't be social today' Really? I have been in the industry. People pay for a smile whether or not you fake it. Three stars is generous. Where is a manager?

Love this place! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Beautiful indoor and outdoor space. The sol elixir cocktail... Super good. Crispy calamari salad was light and very tasteful! Highly recommend this spot!!!

I came here for happy hour with a group of friends and wasn't very impressed with the service or menu. I ordered the pork belly tacos and felt they were quite bland. I asked the server what was on them and she couldn't give me a description, she simply replied they were really good. The service was less than spectacular, in fact it was subpar. It took is about 10 minutes to even get a glass of water let alone our beverages. The soda I got was flat and when I informed our server she said she would be back with another. This happens and there is nothing you can do about it but try again, but she simply didn't return with another soda our entire visit. I just let it go but it's frustrating as a former server because I would have never let this happen. I will probably check out Nox again since I visited soon after it opened but so far I am not impressed. Maybe with time they have worked out the kinks!

There are very few restaurants in Tucson that I would want to revisit more than once. This is one of them.! Excellent staff excellent food and excellent atmosphere. You have to try the Nox chicken it's absolutely one of the best dishes I have ever ate. Make sure and check out this place very soon I know you will be pleased.
