Mimi's Turkey plate is probably the best dinner on the planet! I am just getting over Thanksgiving, and I could still go and eat Mimi's Turkey plate right now! The rest of the food is great also. I love their Quiche, Muffins, Omelets, and just about everything else! (One Caveat: DO NOT order their Turkey dinner go. It is $25 for basically two $9 Turkey dinners.)

Very good food and service is excellent. Fantastic bread sticks and the carrot cake is as good as ever. Husband was happy with his hamburger and I had the French dip. We both had the baked French Onion Soup and it was to die for.

This is a great place to eat for a chain restaurant! I ordered a salmon and I thought it was really OK because I could taste that it was NOT fresh.. Oh of course, it is NOT near the ocean. I expected that but I'm overall satisifed with their food and the price was a little bit pricey. Worth it in my opinion!

My wife & I met another couple here for breakfast on Thursday. When we arrived, the door was opened for us and we were greeted by a very friendly host. We were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and attentative throughout our stay. Our drinks were kept full and the food was good. I had the cinnamon brioche, and would reccomend it. I went to the restroom and almost got sick, it smelled really bad!! The urinal was filthy, it had food in it and other debris. The restroom looked like it had not been cleaned in a while.

I work nights so the weeks I have off my wife and I like to go to breakfast in the mornings. Mimi's is open early and always has a great selection for breakfast. The staff is always so helpful and very polite and attentive to our needs. I would suggest this place to anyone who wants a fast and good place to eat!

The service was good from the hostesses to the wait staff. The food was pretty good. Nothing that jumps out as fantastic. I had a good chicken pot pie and my partner had the hummus plate, which we both enjoyed our food. I would see this a great for breakfast more than lunch or dinner. Pro's- Food is not expensive and is pretty good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Con- it is a chain so the food is nothing to write home about.

I enjoy the Wedge salad with Blue Cheese dressing, crisp lettuce, never any wilted leaves. Also, the soups are very good, Onion and Corn Chowder. This is definitely a comfort food with an upgrade flavor. I really like that they bring the breads and sweet baked breads to the table before the meal with butter. Never have I had room for dessert, especially with one of the huge muffins are served.

If you don't have taste buds or like generic, middle-American bland, go here. 4 of us went for dinner and had a variety of dishes (chicken, seafood, beef and pasta) and they were all so-so. The soups were terrible but, the desserts were decent. I've been to one in LA which was better and the chef did know what seasonings and spices are. This location's food is sub-par for the chain.

I do try to stay away from reviewing chain restaurants (ignore that Olive Garden review a while back) but I felt I needed to review Mimi's. Years ago, I lived in Mesa and my apartment was within walking distance of a Mimi's location. It was the first place I ate at when I moved there and I was hooked. I had no idea back then that it was a chain because I've never seen one before. Maybe it was because I was super hungry from apartment hunting that day, or something but I LOVED the food. I've loved it since. Their soups are to die for. French onion. Yum. Corn Chowder. Yum. I was so excited when I moved to Tucson and saw that there was a Mimi's here too! Two Mimi's! I've heard their comfort food is quite tasty as well. My mom goes there when she is in town and ALWAYS orders the pot roast. Their kids menus have a bigger selection than the usual places and come with a dessert. Good place for breakfast and/or lunch.

Wish we had found this place before we ate at another breakfast place all week...good food, decent (not great) prices. It's a chain, which I'm not big on, but had a great selection.

Good food, consistant and price right. For a chain, breakfast is the only thing they have a good grip on.
We went to Mimi's when it first opened quite a few years ago. Just weren't impressed and didn't go back. But, we recently gave it another try and we're glad we did. This place really tries. Creative breakfast dishes, well-cooked and carefully presented. Actually, they try so hard you can guess that corporate types designed everything including the extensive menu. Hey, but if it works?! Their breakfast potatoes are especially delicious. While the decor is a bit over-done, the booths are big and not close together. We've always been well-served by pleasant, attentive and eager-to-please wait-staff. If you're looking for an upscale breakfast place, Mimi's will do. We recommend it.

This place is not as busy with all the new eateries Tucson Mall has to offer, but I am still a fan. The corn chowder is very creamy and goes great as a side to a salad or sandwich. Recently I tried the roasted turkey sandwich that comes on a wheat croissant. I have to say that it was very tasty. The bread was soft and fluffy and did not have a powerful wheat taste to it. Servers will bring mini baguettes and carrot raisin bread. The baguettes can be a little on the tough side, but the carrot raisin bread is so moist and delicious. Service is always good at this location and food comes out in a reasonable amount of time.

It is almost a family tradition that we must stop at Mimi's Cafe whenever we see one. I have not found a thing I don't like from the menu. The muffin, croissant, coffee, juice, omelette, french toast, hamburger -- everything tastes fresh, homemade, and wonderful. During my inlaws' trip to AZ, we ate at Mimi's twice in 3 days. And did I mention my brother-in-law headed to a Mimi's Cafe after he got married? It is where my family and I can always count on for a luxurious, happy meal.

Love coming here. Everything is usually tasteful and served quickly. I wish they could be more consistent with the potatoes during breakfast. It's somewhat hit or miss kinda thing. Great value and a clean place.

Had Breakfast/Brunch here while out car was being serviced at the Auto Mall. Mimi's is definitely on the better side of chain restaurants. Friendly staff and Quick Service. The hollandaise sauce lacked flavor, and the fresh fruit side lacked variety, but the breakfast potatoes were great. The $7.5 mimosa was a great deal!

The food was delicious and worth the price.Hats off to the Chef! For $10.99 I got 3 large Lemon Poppy pancakes with Rhubarb butter (best pancakes EVER!!) 3 eggs scrambled, one large sausage link, 2 pieces of bacon, and a bowl of grapes and orange slices. Service was just ok. First cup of coffee had "floaters", second cup had lipstick on it. Third cup was brought with the comment that third times a charm and they were really busy but the server checked it this time. WRONG ANSWER!! First cup should have been checked by the server. Should not have taken 3 cups to get it right. I restrained myself of telling the server that I was a restaurant manager for 15 years. I just made sure to adjust her tip. This was my first time here and looking forward to returning real soon!

I like this place, but I walked in and there were 3 groups of people waiting and tons of empty tables. I was told a 20 minute wait on a Thursday at 7:30 pm. When I inquired why a 20 minute wait when there is so many empty tables I was told they only had 2 servers. I asked about sitting in the bar area and I was told no servers. Everybody moving like snails and didn't seem like anyone cared. Walked out and went to Cheesecake Factory and out party of 2 was seated in 2 minutes.

I've been here twice in the last month and had a bad experience. The first time, they were out of what I ordered. This wasn't the waiter's fault, and he was able to tell me right away. Service was slow, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. It wasn't but but not great either. I didn't really have any problems with this experience, but I wasn't keen on going back. Both my grandfather and I had mediocre food that wasn't really worth the money. This last night was terrible. I ordered a gin and tonic. After 15 minutes, the waiter told me they were out of tonic and offered club soda. I stupidly said yes, as club soda is more different from tonic than I suspected, especially mixing an unsweetened mixer with a bitter spirit. We had been at the restaurant for 45 minutes when I actually received my drink. The waiter brought me a large shot-style glass with about an ounce of gin and two ounces of club soda. The club soda was flat. Even better, the drink wasn't on ice, and the club soda and gin were both room temperature. I don't know why I thought it would be garnished with a lime. At this time, the waiter brought my mom's drink, which had been ordered at the same time as mine. So we were in the restaurant for 50 minutes when the waiter told us that they were out of what my grandmother and I had ordered, which would have meant a new order after waiting that long. The waiter had also brought us bread without any plates. People who had ordered after us were getting food before us, but I don't know what they were doing during the 30 minutes after we had ordered food. The manager apologized and gave us cards wort $10 to come back later

Out on a shopping expedition at Tucson Mall this is a great choice for lunch! Crowds on weekends but its because it's a great place to eat! We loved our lunch and we'll be back! Our waitress did not tell us about the fresh breads that should have come with our meal like she did with the next table otherwise I would have given it a 5.

On easter, 2 adults, 11:15 in the late morning, slight wait for a table, then had a table on the patio. Great Bloody Mary, one French Pot Roast, a bowl of comfort food, other meal was the ham special. All food served hot. Service was friendly and professional. Portions were larger than expected. Cant say a bad thing about the total food experience, especially for a busy holiday lunch time. A good value.

Awesome service and good for the entire family. I love that even though they changed the menu if they have all the stuff, they will make your favorite from previous menus and/or sub the items they no longer have with great recommendations. Friendly staff and always busy but hardly ever have to wait...

Great place for breakfast. Had steel cut oats with fruit plus eggs and potatoes that was delicious. The service by Jody was excellent.
I came here with a large group of co-workers. What impressed me most about Mimi's wasn't the food or the prices, none of which really would make me want to come back, but the service and efficiency was very good. Considering such a large group came in early in the morning, they got us together quiet well and seem prepared. Service was whipped through, water brought out, coffee refilled, and food arrived correctly to each person with almost no confusion. They seem very well prepared. I've seen some wait staff get confused with just me eating by myself at other eateries. However I did find the prices a little too high. I know this is at the mall, but the cheapest meal was what I got- two big eggs, with toast and red potatoes. It was good, not outstanding, and cost about $6.50. Most meals cost around $8-10. And would I want to pay about $7 for a bowl of oatmeal with fruit in it? Umm.. My co-worker next to me shared some of his fresh baked bran muffin with me. It was good. The food was fine, but I can't say I am doing backflips over it. I have had larger portions at greasy spoons for the same cost or less. I could easily name so many other places I would go. It's almost like what you get at a Dennys or a Village Inn. The bill was all handled fast and expertly. This place gets you in and welcome and out the door with zero hassle. However this experience was very good and warrants a four star.

My family and I went there this past Saturday and the service was amazing. We were immediately seated and our waitress got our orders right away. The food was delicious. I ordered the quiche lorraine and that came with a salad and a muffin. I can't find anything wrong with the food. Overall, fantastic restaurant.

There was a time, long ago, when I enjoyed going to Mimi's. Those days are long past. Mimi's is now so overpriced, and the quality is so lackluster it's astounding that they're even still open. Wife had the meatloaf, which was really just 'mushloaf'. So mushy and flavorless...Come to think of it, I can't even remember what I had, it was so bland and unremarkable. I do remember getting the bill and thinking WTF? For what?

I visited this restaurant for a casual breakfast get-together. It was the first time I'd ever been here. The strawberry muffins will definitely force me to return! Ohhhhhh, such goodness! Great customer service, reasonable prices and they are willing to make substitutions as needed. A little nickel and diming that wasn't too cool ($.40 extra for cheese, $.10 extra for the special strawberry muffin), but the food was tasty enough to definitely make up for that! I'll be back!

Gotta say, this was not my favorite. I had a chicken crepe, my mom a shrimp salad, and my step dad the fish and chips. Positive: the fish and chips were enough to feed two people, the atmosphere was great Negative: the salad was expensive and it was like they gave her their house Caesar salad and threw some shrimp on (it was boring and small), the crepes tasted very weird and I couldnt put my finger on why, they waitress was so rude... she made it very obvious that she did not want to wait on us, we ordered a pot pie at first and then they came out with all our food except the pot pie and told us they ran out and that my step dad needed to order something else (which if they were out why didn't they say something before they brought out the other food so that we could all eat together). Over all not the best place I have eaten EVER, but I gave two stars because the fish and chips were pretty good.

Three of our family had dinner at this Mimis Cafe while traveling, the first time ever at one of these chains. Two hostesses welcomed us at the door and made us feel really welcome. The waitress also was very friendly and answered all of our questions with a smile, asking if this was our first visit. We tried the grilled chicken, traditional turkey and grilled meatloaf plates. The dinners were brought out soon, and we each thought everything served was very good. The hostess and manager came around to see us to get to know us better and how we were doing. We really enjoyed the European atmosphere and the extremely attentive and friendly service. Before we left the manager brought us a take out box with four different varieties of their muffins. It's not often that your're able to enjoy the ambiance, food and superior service to the extent that we experienced that day. We will return to this restaurant at the first available opportunity and thank the staff there for making our dining experience so pleasurable.

Good news Bad news Good news Bad news, what's next? When we lived in California we drove at least 30 minutes one way often once a week. We were a family of five, so it was a bit pricey, but it was worth it. Upon arriving in Tucson we quickly learned that Mimi's was not the same. I wrote it off and forgot about it. One day we were at the Tucson Mall, it had been a while since we had been to Mimi's so we stopped in. It was ok. My daughter was celebrating a birthday so I gave her the option of going to Mimi's or the Olive Garden for her birthday meal. She chose Mimi's. Our server was pleasant, the breakfast progressed nicely. My eggs were not cooked exactly the way I like them, but it was not worth sending them back, waiting...the hassle. The server was so concerned. She got the manager. I have not had a manager behave as this young man has in a long, long time. He was appropriately apologetic; he gave my daughter a free birthday breakfast AND gave her a dessert. His concern along with his desire to make a birthday great and the meal enjoyable were remarkable. His actions garnered so much good will. I thought that Mimi's had changed. Silly me. A month later I went to celebrate my birthday thinking that a birthday breakfast was company policy. First, the waitress, who drug herself over to our table, she clearly wanted to be elsewhere, argued with me. Then she went and got the manager, who also argued with me; but conceded that, while I was wrong, she would buy me a birthday breakfast. By now, I was not so interested in a birthday breakfast at Mimi's. We waited, and waited and waited. When our waitress finally re appeared she was taking the order of another four top, then she went to check on a six top and refresh their coffee. By now I was wondering if serving us was going to be too much of an imposition on her. When she finally arrived at our table and I asked her if this was the case, her facial expression changed, her body got rigid and she immediately shot back with a tone of disgust, "Well you can get another waitress if you want." I said that I would, once again she disappeared. We waited and waited. No waitress appeared. Finally, my stomach was in knots, happy birthday to me, we alerted the hostess that we were done. We wanted to speak to a manager; the not so pleasant manager reappeared, after a while. She was all about vindicating her behavior, "Well I offered to buy your breakfast." The attitude was, it's not on me, you are out of line with your request. She apologized for the server's behavior. So I said that I wanted to speak to her boss. It took her FOREVER to get me her boss' phone number. We finally walked out. She emerged from the building as we were getting in the car. Once again, she was justifying her behavior, "I offered to buy your breakfast." Remember, the offer came after she argued her point and conceded begrudgingly. Again, happy birthday to me, what a way to start your birthday. I'm pretty much done with Mimi's Cafe. I have communication open with the regional manager...I'll keep you posted.

I agree with others that for a chain, this place is pretty good. I have eaten here many times for brunch with my grandmother as well as with other family and friends, and have always enjoyed my experience. The eggs are always cooked correctly, the coffee is good, the muffins are delicious, and no one I've ever eaten here with has been disappointed with their meal. Today I ordered the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict and it was delicious. The hollandaise sauce here is not my favorite, however it is by no means unfavorable. It came with two delicious, and very large, meaty crab cakes instead of English Muffins, so I ordered them in place of the potatoes. Not because the potatoes were bad, but simply because I prefer fruit or bread. Two of my friends ordered a Bloody Mary and they enjoyed them, although they mentioned that they were thicker than usual. Our server, Rene, was everything a server should be. She was friendly, accommodating, and was always around when we needed her, but never overbearing. 4 stars for good food, consistency, friendly atmosphere, and great service.

So my first experience at Mimi's was a bust because of service--food quality was good. Today however, was exceptional!! Had the corn beef hash with eggs, potatoes and a pumpkin muffin. I walked out stuffed--food was hot, the corn beef hash was grilled to perfection--just crisp and the pumpkin muffin was delicious!! So here's the cool thing, waitress said, hey, we have gift cards for sale--I said, oh, tell me the deal, 30.00 dollars of food for 25.00. I said can I buy one right now and use for this breakfast? Sure, she charged me for the gift card, applied to the bill and saved me 5 bucks--will I go back? Yup, today was exceptional in every way!! Thanks Mimi's!!

I take my sales team here for breakfast meetings from time to time since it is close to work. My people find the food is not very consistent. Sometimes they love it or other times they ask to go somewhere else next time. I order the quiche Loraine and it is good every time. Their home fries come out a little under cooked for me. I just ask for them well done and they are perfect. I have never had another meal other than breakfast. I will update when I get here for lunch or dinner.

Went to Mimi's for breakfast this morning. We both had the cinnamon brioche french toast. It was good, although a bit soggy. The restaurant was very noisy, lots of folks talking very loudly and many children. Kids and talking don't bother me, but it was so loud that my husband and I could barely carry on a conversation. The service was okay but not great. One server came over after we had been there about five to seven minutes and asked if anyone had been helping us. When we said "no", she said "okay I'll get you something to drink and find out whose table this is....maybe it's mine." (It wasn't).

I eat her from time to time, and came with my husband Gary today. I enjoyed their turkey dinner for lunch, while he chose a cheeseburger. I also added on a chicken gumbo, which was outstanding and had more chicken breast pieces in it than I ever expected. I am cautious about ordering restaurant soups because they are either too creamy (fattening) and/or salty. Not this time! That cup of soup could've been my lunch, it was so perfect! The turkey was nicely prepared (REAL turkey), with dressing, gravy and I substitued broccoli/carrots for the mashed potatoes. And the veggies were fresh and perfectly prepped (YUM!). They give you delicious fresh sour dough bread and some sweet dessert breads (like banana, zucchini), which really add value to the meal. Gary's burger was perfectly prepared and worth the money. Happy experience all around, nice ambiance and they have a fun menu with something for everyone!

This is your classic kind of chain place food. The service is very down home and excellent though. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast kind of coming at an in between time, but that was a shame because it looks like breakfast is what they are good at. I had a sandwich and salad for lunch and it was all good, but nothing to write home about with the Bacon and Bleu Cheese being the star compared to the Roasted Turkey Club. I think if I were to return for lunch I would try their Roasted Turkey and Brie Melt or Spinach Artichoke Dip. Hopefully that will all be as good as it sounds. For breakfast I will have mad respect for them if they can do their Eggs Bene or Crepes right! My girlfriend enjoyed her chicken and waffles. Oh and their wines are $5 all the time! I didn't partake this time, but that is a great deal!

I'm going to give Mimi's 3 stars but only because of the waitress. Went here for late lunch on Friday afternoon and it was not really busy. Just a handful of guests in the whole place. Ordered a side salad, meatloaf platter and chicken Parmesan. The food was ok but I had to send it back 3 times. After clarifying no onions on salad it came with onions, after ordering no gravy on potatoes it came covered in gravy. When we sent it back the chef took the potatoes off and didn't change the plate. Sent it back again since there was still gravy all over the plate and other food. Then after clarifying there were no onions in food the meatloaf came cooked in onions. Waitress was friendly and tried to fix it but really pushy about dessert.

All 5 sets of silverware on my table were dirty. Flies and lots of dust. Freshly squeezed orange juice tastes like boxed ones, employees arguing on the back. Deviled eggs were delicious! Raising bread is supper! Kids crape not bad. Family went nuts over the mussels!

Just went here for a group meeting-hadn't been here in awhile. It's a casual coffee-shop kind of atmosphere and comfortable. At our meeting, we had a choice of three items and I opted for the quiche that came with a salad. The salad was soaked in dressing so next time, I'd request dressing on the side. The quiche was pretty good and the service was excellent. In the past have had breakfast there and loved their muffins. It's located on the northeast corner of Wetmore and Oracle, just outside of the Tucson Mall. There is restaurant parking around the building. It's a place I'd go again for breakfast or lunch

I ordered catering (breakfast) from here. I was pleasantly surprised how much food we received and it was prepared and ready for my requested time. It was hot and tasty as well. All staff very friendly. I enjoyed talking to Jodie. She assisted me in carrying items to my car. Both Managers I dealt with were smiling and very helpful. I highly recommend Mimi's to help you with catering options. We will order again when the need arises.

I haven't eaten at Mimi's in a long while but since we got the coupon we thought we would give it a try. They have really pushed the French feel of their restaurant into their cuisine which was nice! My fiancé and I both ordered steak ny strip med rare she had spinach and I had corn on the cob. The steak was prepared more toward medium but had lovely flavor and texture! Not terribly expensive either. Server Laura was very friendly and attentive. Would go back for maybe brunch to try the menu!

Great food and service. Will go back again as much as I can. You gotta try the Creme Brulee Cheesecake !!!

Service was great, nice casual atmosphere. Food was delicious. We were lucky and got right in at the lunch counter even on Mother's Day.

Great place for breakfast. Had steel cut oats with fruit plus eggs and potatoes that was delicious. The service by Jody was excellent.

I would give this place no stars if it was an option. We came here for lunch today (a very rainy and cold day in Tucson) because we were by the mall and I've been to some great Mimi's Cafes. Well I wish we hadn't even thought of it. We waited for the hostess to seat us for awhile because there was nobody standing at the stand when we walked in. Then, she led us to our table and there was a huge piece of food in the seat that my fiancé had to pick off himself. She just laughed and said sorry. Our waitress was very bland and not personable. We ordered the deviled eggs as an appetizer... They were terrible. No seasoning, small eggs, and one of them was served to us broken and on its side. I ordered the corn chowder with a house salad and fruit. The soup had zero taste to it. I've never put so much salt and pepper into a little bowl of soup before just so I could have some sort of flavor. My salad was covered in dressing that tasted sour. I didn't even touch my fruit - it looked like it had been sitting out for at least an hour. My fiancé ordered the tuna melt and he said it was terrible and his salad dressing didn't taste like anything. To make things worse, the window sill we were sitting by looks like it had never EVER been dusted. Oh, and it had tons of ants crawling around on it. YES I SAID ANTS. I honestly feel dirty after eating here. I will never come back. You could offer me money to eat here and I still wouldn't return.

My husband and I travel from Safford to eat here! Everything tastes home made and authentic. It's always nice to eat at a bistro in Arizona. Service is great.

Great service food is a little slow coming out. Everything has been great thus far. Comfortable atmosphere.

(3)Erika J.
(3)Betsy B.
(3)Karin P.

What can I say. This is my wife's favorite place. She's here enough that she seems to know all the staff who are all very friendly. Great place for breakfast, though the burgers are really good. Of course the muffins, oh that blueberry muffin!
(4)Alan B.
As good as it gets. I love Mimi's chain - every one I go to whenever I'm in a new town (I move a lot) gets my love. The food is always consistently excellent, and the service is great! This one in Tucson is NO exception! Thank you Mimi's for creating a winning formula!
