Food was ok. Our server didn't write our order down (I hate that) and was left with beans on my plate when I said NO BEANS!!! This was the second time we ate here. The 'house' margaritas were horrible. They were so incredibly sweet, we are pretty sure there was NO alcohol in them AT ALL! This is really leaving us debating going back.

The "most interesting man in the world" was welcomed us into the restaurant. Though they're understaffed, the people that work at Macayo's work hard. It took a long time for someone to come to seat us, and a ridiculously long time for the food to come out. Unfortunately, the food was very spicy and the corn tortillas were too chewy. Even the soda was flat. The manager came by to check on us, but I didn't care enough to issue a complaint about the food, because I figure I'll eat again and there's much more in life to complain about than food that was just sort of "meh". Plus I just wanted to get the heck out of the restaurant because we were there for so long. Maybe I'll return for drinks one day, but I'm not sold on the food there.

Macayo's served excellent food. I ordered the shredded beef chimichangas and they were delicious. Great customer service - very friendly and always checking up on our table. The restaurant and bathrooms were very well kept and clean. Highly recommend going to Macayo's if you're looking for good mexican food and a friendly environment.

Good food at a good price, but the margarita was a bit weak. Service was good even though we got here an hour before closing.

This place has gone super downhill. Sat in the bar area, we were not greeted until 10 minutes of sitting down. I ordered a side of salsa and Baja sauce, watched the bartender walk away and she apparently forgot to bring the side. Upon asking for it again she walked away before I was done talking on only brought 1 out of the two items I ordered. She didn't even apologize. She then proceeded to take the order from a table who literally just sat down versus helping our party who had been there for over 15 minutes. Food was mediocre. Chips were stale and entrees were nothing special. Surprised this place has managed to stay in business especially with terrible service and blah food. Would waste my time or money coming to this place again.

Excellent chips and salsa. Light crispy chips. Salsa was mild with a hint of spice. Ordered enchilada sampler - three different ones each with different sauce. Above average! Would definitely order again. Service was ok to average. Waiter didn't come back and check during meal and stopped refilling water half way though meal. He wasn't horrible. But wasn't good either.

I hadn't been to Macayo's in years, but it was just what we were looking for on that day. Our waiter, Martin, greeted us in Spanish and was very friendly. They offer small lunch plates, as small as one main dish and one side, which is perfect for me. I ordered an enchilada with a side of beans and it was just what I wanted in perfect portion size. My gf had the steak fajitas, which she enjoyed. They were having a few margarita specials, which cost more than my meal. I tried one of the featured ones, the 65th Anniv. It was average; I should have gone with my instincts and gotten the classic. They have so many types of margaritas I spend several minutes on that alone. Nice clean place, friendly waiter and good food at a nice price for lunch. Nothing I'd drive over to the other side of town for, but good.

We have tried this restaurant 3 times. Each times we waited over 30 minutes for our meal to arrive. Once, it was over an hour. Each time, everyone at the table was pretty disappointed with their meal. Tonight we tried one last time. I ordered spinach enchiladas. The plate arrived with 2 enchiladas. One contained corn, peppers and squash but no spinach. The second did have a small amount of spinach rolled into a dry tortilla. No enchilada sauce on either although there was a fair amount of green chilies (not requested or described on the menu). The other meal was suppose to contain Carne Asada. Unfortunately, there was very little "carne" contained in the dish. The waitress tried to make amends by asking the "chef" to make 2 new entrees and the manager picked up the tab for the meal (which he should have done). By that time, however, the meal was ruined and my appetite gone. We won't go back again.

Excellent Margarita's, Nacho's platter. My wife loves the Chimichangas while I like the Nacho's platter and the Burros.

Went here for a family Sunday lunch. The server was young and kind of inexperienced, but certainly friendly and able. The food was standard chain-restaurant Mexican and good quality at that. My girlfriend loves their fajitas, though I don't think they're much different than the ones at Chili's (not that that's necessarily a bad thing). I must admit to a certain heresy: I really liked their Chicken Poblano, which is a chicken-stuffed poblano pepper, breaded and deep fried, and served with cheese and enchilada sauce. It is obviously a pre-made thing that gets shipped to the stores frozen and fried up, and it strikes me as sort of a gigantic jalapeno popper. The heresy is that I couldn't help thinking while I was eating it that it was way better than any Chili Rellenos dish I have ever had. If they could make that pepper spicy it would be the ideal polygamist marriage of Chili Rellenos, Jalapeno Poppers, and Chicken Enchiladas. As it stands, I would say it is the must-try dish at this place.

Arrived at 12:00, sat until 12:10 before we were even waited on. I actually had to get up to go find a waiter. This normally wouldn't bother me but lunch time is limited and the luxury of sitting around for 10 minutes isn't there. The food was about the quality of frozen food section Mexican food from the grocery store. I was charged $1.99 for a blob of dried up re-fried beans. The staff was very friendly, the food and service was poor.

We have been going to Macayos for a couple of years now. Good place, good food, good service, and its clean. If you have an issue with cilantro( like me), make sure you tell them, because they put it in everything.

I'm a returning customer, and will continue to be. The margaritas are likely the best in the area, and the food was good and plentiful. Great place to bring out of towners. Remember to pick up a senior card (over 55) as it's worth 20% off your cost. On most recent visit, during the dinner hour, there was a 25 min wait announced, but they called us in about half that time. We had already taken an available table in the bar and were served promptly by the bartender. Many smiles here. These folks know how to run a business, and as my good friend Arny say's "I'll be back".

Above average. Enjoyed the tacos, the margaritas were SUPER great and big. Reasonable prices. Honestly, I'm resisting the urge to give them 5 stars. Should be reserved for THE best of the best, but I want to give points solely on the appearence of our waiter, Mario. Seriously, that was his name. And best of all, he had "the" Mario mustache and only had one eye. It just made our experience so great, and I hate to enjoy someone else's obvious misfortune, but as far as characters go....he just looked "authentic". Felt like I was in Mexico. Then again, might have been the fish bowl sized marg, I don't know.

We've eaten at Macayo's a number of times. When we first moved to Tucson a few years ago we came here regularly and the food was quite good. It was never the best Mexican we've ever had, but it was adequate and the atmosphere was nice. The desserts were also great. It's been several months since we've been to Macayo's and our last experience left us deflated. We went during the late afternoon and the restaurant was nearly deserted. I'd never seen that before. Our food was mediocre at best. My husband had a full meal since he was quite hungry and he said it was "OK" but not great. I ordered just some fries and a drink since I wasn't hungry. They charged nearly $3 for an order of fries that consisted of 12 (yes I counted) fries on a plate! The soft drinks we ordered were horrible. I ordered a Sierra Mist and it tasted like someone had just dumped some seltzer in a glass of ice water. My husband's drink was not much better. We'll probably be skipping Macayo's from now on. La Botana has much better food and better prices. I was so disappointed to see Macayo's going downhill like this.

My daughter and I each had a raving sweet tooth, so we stopped by for the best dessert ever! The Chocolate Mini Chimis! We have been coming to Oro Valley for over 12 years now, and the trip is not complete without a visit to Macayo's-usually for dinner, but sometimes just dessert.

I love the margaritas. I prefer the bar seating over the restaurant. The cheese crisp is awesome. They are very good at keeping the chips and salsa filled. This is a great place to meet for drinks.

How often does one wish to bash a place because of the busboy? This shoula been a 3 star review. Really good food, even better than I remember. The too expensive "anniversary" margarita was rather light on the tequila, thus overly sour. I took advantage of the best deal on the lunch menu-- the kindly priced 2 items and 2 sides, knowing I'd eat half out of a to go box, later for dinner at home. The server was absoulutely tip-top, yet ... I was dining with a handicapped friend, who I had to physically help into the car afterwards. I went back in-- to not find the to go box I'd anticipated collecting. When I spyed the overly-active BB, I asked him if he had stashed it, and he looked down at his tub where my 2 lb box of food was vertically stacked, comprised of a whole chicken burrito,chips/salsa and full order of beans. Understandable mistakes are made, what pissed me off was that he hopefully looked at me like I might pluck it out and go about my way. Too nasty for even George Costanza. Either this young man is too bright to be a BB, or he is to stupid to be a BB. The latter is a scary possibility. Sorry this got lengthy.CB

I've been here before and it was a 4-5 star place. This time, mini chimi plate was so-so. They were all slightly overdone, so a little dry and lacking sauce to slide them down. Everyone else seemed pleased with their salads, burritos and peppers, so I would definately give this place another go, hoping to get something that could slide down without several glasses of water.

After moving to Tucson from Michigan, I've been looking for a great fine dining styled Mexican restaurant. So last night a friend invited me to Macayos. The food was good, service was fairly prompt. But not as much attention as I would have expected for as slow as it was. So a solid choice for Mexican food but not the dining experience I have been seeking.

Although service isn't always consistent and they can be a bit pricey, I do enjoy this restaurant. I have aways found the food to be consistent and good, it does have a bit of the chain restaurant feel, I would highly recommend.

I like to go here when visiting my sister and her family in Oro Valley. I would expect more of a mexican food kid menu instead of a cheese sandwich or chicken strips. Location is close to the Tucson Mall and prices are really good for all the food you get. They do have a lite menu and the chicken enchilada's where just the right amount after having plenty of tasty chips and salsa. I've been here only three times and ordered the tacos and a burrito, have like all of them. Margaritas are really good and you get a good amount in each glass. Even though this place could be considered a chain now, they have a good history in the southwest. Read the menu for a good story.

I stopped here while on vacation in Tucson one night and I'm glad we did. So much so that we stopped in another night when we were too tired to look for a new place to eat. I ate in the bar both nights. The bartender was our waiter as well and the service was very good. He was quick with the drinks, friendly and kept checking back to see if we needed anything. The food was very good, about what you'd expect from a family Mexican restaurant. Very good enchiladas, chimichangas and fajitas. And the Margarita's were great! I have a decently high tolerance, but after having one of their Patron margarita's my wife had to drive back to the hotel. If you're looking for a good meal, a stiff drink and good service you can't go wrong at Macayo's.

We went here with a friend and his parents and girlfriend. The trick seems to be to get the vegetarian options. I ordered a California burrito which was one of the better vegetarian options I have found at a Mexican restaurant. Our friend's girlfriend ordered vegetarian fajitas, which usually consist of merely peppers and onions; not at this place. Here it consists of zucchini as well, which added a nice flavor, according to her. All in all, if I'm down on that side of town and looking for a quick bite, I will go here; however, I will not travel across town to go there.

we should have listened to the other yelp reviews!! my husband and i were in oro valley and he recommended this place because his family used to come here when visiting his aunt when he was younger. apparently, things have changed. we walked in and were seated right away. there weren't many patrons in the restaurant. it was around 2:45PM so we might have missed the lunch rush. we ordered chimichangas. can't really go wrong, right? wronggggg!! i took a bite of the rice that it came with and immediately, i knew something was off. i asked my husband to take a bite, and he said the chimis had that taste, too. we should have walked out at that point. the server, keiko, insisted that everything was made fresh--that morning-- (ummmmm fresh? that morning? hello? it's already THREE IN THE AFTERNOON!) she went away for a while then came back. she told us that maybe it's a spice that we were tasting that we didn't like. she mentioned white pepper. does white pepper taste like rotten? errrrgh. heed the warnings, yelpers! steer clear.

it's good food. but the real draw for us is the quiet area, with large tables that fit the whole extended family for special occasions. we just had a birthday party and the staff was most understanding as we sat and talked for an hour after finishing our meal. it is that courtesy that keeps us going there for anniversaries and special out of town guests. thanks!

When I walked in I had to wait about 7 minutes before anyone came to seat me. The service was not that great, after our party was seated the waiter didn't come for awhile. I ordered a chimichanga, it was pretty good. It wasn't amazing, I would try something if I went again. I gave it a three mainly because of the service. No one in our party was disappointed by the food but it didn't blow us away either.

My oh my. Second attempt at good Mexican food in 2 day's. It was not meant to be I guess. The server was good. Not great. Not bad. He did have numerous table's with no bussing help. He re filled my ice tea and kept the salsa and chips coming. That was the best part of the meal. My meal was tasteless. I basically ate chip's, that were light and crispy, the entire meal. My mother was my dining companion for lunch today. She was curious as to why they didn't replace the missing chunks of plaster on the wall where we were seated. Hmmmm, I wonder too. The entry arch into the seating area we were at had dried food encrusted on the lower half. Now, I do enjoy a good chip and some salsa with a slight zing. This was good stuff. However, I would like to have decent food when I am paying for it. I had the gumption to try dessert because I was craving something anything with flavor. We both ordered flan. Noooooooooooo! It was covered, I mean covered, in some kind of almond sticky sauce. It just made me sad to see it swimming in this sauce. Neither of us finished our desserts. That never happens. I will not return nor will I recommended.
Disappointed. In Tucson visiting family and we knew we had to have Mexican one night! Mexican is prob my favorite cuisine and being in the South west I figured this would be great. Mediocre at best. Nothing remarkable, have had much better in rural Pennsylvania. Service was slow, drinks went empty, food was bleh. The salsa was too watery and couldn't even stay on the chip. I had the Tres Rellenos, peppers were hard and not cooked enough, the shredded beef was tasty but that was about it. Had to ask for someone to find our server so we could cash out and go.

I ate here back in 2004, long before I Yelped. And I decided to stop in for lunch since my ride back to Oregon was in for repair for the 4th day in a row. I remembered we had good food here back then and was hoping it was still the same. I had the grilled tacos with the Baja Avocado sauce off the lunch menu. Wow, were they ever good! I love the street style taco and would definitely recommend these if you love the same as well. The server waiting on me was well on top of things and was tipped well for great service. Even though he told me the sauce was tip secret! My visit here was very short but very pleasant. I will probably not be back again for a long time, but wanted to post a positive review for my brief encounter.

First time in Tucson, and took 5 guests here on a Cops recommendation. A big place which got us set up easily. One waiter. .. Six different orders. . No problemo All agreed this was a good choice. NOTHING was microwaved !!! Everything very fresh, well cooked and seasoned. If I ever have to go to Tucson again I'll return here for round two.

Been coming to this place since I moved to Arizona and I have to say the food is always really good. The wife and I have the margarita mugs and it's always nice to get an awesome margarita for such a cheap price. By the way the margaritas are the best here! We normally get the pick two combinations with the cheese crisp appetizer. All of the food we get is pretty tasty and the service is where this place doesn't excel. Not to say it's bad, but at times getting food and refills is slow, again not extremely slow, but not like other places I have eaten at. I would definitely recommend this place.

I stop into Macayo's for lunch from time to time. There are two reasons why I go for lunch instead of dinner. The first reason is that during the week, Macayo's has a daily lunch special. For $6.99 you can get a plate which usually runs around $10.00. The special changes every day of the week, and you get a fair portion of food for that price. The reason I never go for dinner is that the service is always struggling to handle the small lunch crowds they get. If they can't keep up when the place is a quarter full, I would hate to go there when they are packed. The food is pretty standard for most of the Mexican style chain restaurants throughout the southwest. They are a chain for a reason. They have worked out a way to produce consistently good food for not that much money; however, the service at this location is completely lacking. I can't comment for how they do things at other Macayo's but this one doesn't understand the service model very well. From the very start you can tell something is amiss with the service. It generally takes a long time to get your drinks when you first arrive. It always seems as if our server has to go find another employee to help them bring the chips, salsa, and drinks before any of it can be brought to our table. Food orders are wrong a lot. (I have noticed this at other tables as well.) They are always quick to rectify the situation, but it would be more efficient to just get it correct the first time around. The staff is nice; however, a lot of them try too hard to build a rapport with their customers. I do not like it when people sit at my table uninvited, and I especially don't like it when waiters touch and pat me without warning. Despite seeming to have plenty of staff during the lunch hours, they always seem to be struggling to keep up with their guest. I've seen them bring out my food while my waiter was busy at another table. Instead of delivering the food to my table, they sat it next to the waiter while he was busy with another table. He delivered it once he was finished with that table, almost five minutes later. Strangely they always have time for the staff to stop what they are doing and sing Happy Birthday to a guest. And don't expect anymore service after you've paid the bill, because once you pay they seem to lose all interest in you as a customer. If they could get the problems worked out of the service area, I believe Macayo's could be a great place to dine. Until then, I wouldn't recommend anything more than their inexpensive lunch specials.

Was seated immediately upon arriving. The waiter was attentive. Salsa could have been spicier, but the guacamole was really good. I ordered fajitas which were great. Husband ordered a chimichanga but got a burrito. A little pricey, but overall good. We might be back.

I would've given this place 5 stars two years ago. I don't know what has happened but the food is bland and doesn't always seem fresh. The margaritas are some of the best in Tucson and the chocolate chimichangas are mouth watering but the food and atmosphere needs improvement. They even ran out of Chocolate chimis one time- a total disappointment. Live mariachi music would spice up the place. And spices would spice up the food.
It's just ok.....nothing special at all. I had the chilli relleno and it was only ok....I HATE it when the chilli still has the seeds and this one did....it takes 2 seconds to clean them out so come on guys step it up! If you need a quick dinner then it won't be awful but it won't be the best!

I came here with co-workers for lunch and for it being lunch time it was pretty dead, then again we got there right when it opened so that could have been the case. After walking in the place is pretty spacious, you can go either left or right to two big rooms with tables and chairs. The server was pretty good. He sat us immediately and attended to us in a timely manner. I had some dirty silverware that weren't thoroughly washed, but he quickly exchanged them for clean ones. I was kind of hoping he would have grabbed some clean ones from the kitchen but instead he just grabbed some off another table (which I could have done that myself). Other than that the food portion were pretty big considering it was lunch entrees. The cheese crisp appetizer was like the size of a 8" pizza and was pretty tasteful. The cheese was thoroughly melted and the tortilla had a good crisp to it. There was also chips n dip served in the beginning which was good, can't go wrong with that. As for my main entree I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga enchilada style and wow that plate was huge too! I was only able to eat half and save the other half for another time, but the taste was great. Overall, aside from the dirty silverware which stopped me from giving the place a 4 star since I'm a clean freak, this place is pretty good. Considering the entree sizes and for a good price, you can't beat that!

If this review was solely based on the margarita's, it would have a better score. It is the drinks and the enchiladas that have made it a 3 star. The burrito's are okay, but was really lacking on the cheese. The chicken taco's could have been a lot of better. The prices are somewhat good, and the service is average. While this place is not the best in Tucson, it certainly is not the worst either.

In last weeks Caliente section of our newspaper there was a coupon for a buy one get one free dinner. We haven't been to a Macayo's for years. Too many other smaller places have opened that we really prefer. However, being a real Gringo at the time many years ago. We thought that Macayo's was great. For starters lets go to the chips and salsa. Chips were OK very thin and crispy. The sauce was tart and too salty. I ordered what I ordered so many years ago the Chicken Poblano. It was just fair as well as the beans and rice. Very ordinary. My other half ordered the carnita taco, with BBQ sauce and pineapple. Sounded kind of trendy and different. He liked it. I tasted it and it was fair. To be fair about that is that I am not a lover of BBQ sauce especially on carnitas. The tortillas were pretty bad. Like soft cardboard to try to describe them. The place is so dark you can barely read the menu. The wait staff is great. Believe it or not, I remember the waiter we had from over at least 15 years since our last visit. I am afraid I will have to wait to go back again. It was just very ordinary. They were very crowded mostly with retirees who probably think the food was perfect. It well may be. But we'll keep exploring.

Mediocre meal with somewhat friendly service. It definitely one of the meals I wish I didn't eat. I know that sounds awful but the experience was just mediocre. The hostess were nice but I think our server was just tired from his shift. The meal started with chips and salsa. The regular salsa lacked any kind of heat. Ask for the hot one. The gucamole was missing jalpenos. The faijitas were sizzling hot but that one is pretty hard to mess up. The steak cortez was just saucy and the meat was overcooked. Imagine american cheese mixed with spinach and mushroom over steak. I know...what was I thinking?!?!

I don't come to Macayo's often but when I do I'm never disappointed, just satisfied. I really enjoy their food. The chips are spectacular and the salsa is so-so. Not bad, I think it's just individual salsa tastes. I particularly enjoy roasted chile salsas. I find it interesting that everyone loves on their margaritas because I'm not impressed, but I'm never impressed with margaritas made with a pre-made mix. Not a fan. Too bitter! Our waiter was absolutely adorable. A chunky, older hispanic guy that kept speaking Spanish to us. Very bubbly and warm. He really helped add to the visit. I'm a bit miffed though...kind of wondering how this place survives because every time I come in, it's dead. Either way I'll be back. Probably not for another year. But I'll be back.
We were visiting for a wedding and the pre-wedding luncheon was held there. I'm allergic to cumin/cuminos and was willing just to have water or drinks and not eat. Of course there was salsa and chips on the table when we arrived. We asked the server if where was cumin in the salsa and he checked. The owner came over and told us that they don't use cumin in their food...I was ecstatic. Hadn't had authentic Mexican food from a restaurant in over 20 years....was dying for enchiladas. Had lunch but ate sparingly, just in case. We did return another afternoon for lunch and I finally had the enchiladas I've been craving for years and they were outstanding. Sure wish we had this restaurant here in NH because the restaurants here use cumin.....wish they could freeze and ship overnight, I'd be in 7th heaven. If we come back to Tucson another time, I know where I'll be eating. The place was clean and cool....hotter than blazes outside and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. A+ restaurant.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(3)David D.
(4)Lori E.
Really good, really consistent Sonoran Mexican food. The carnitas are my favvorite.
(3)jason c.

(2)susanne b.
(5)Boba J.
Friendly service and pretty good food. Great salsa!
(3)Lisa D.

The Broadway location seems to be a bit challenged when it comes to service. So far the Oracle location, and we have been there twice, seems to do well. The food is quite tasty.
(3)Jay M.
Had dinner here while on vacation. Salsa was nothing special. Our dinners were very good and the service was good. I would say if you're looking for a safe, standard Mexican place it's a good choice
(3)Claire H.

(3)J T.
Although service isn't always consistent and they can be a bit pricey, I do enjoy this restaurant. I have aways found the food to be consistent and good, it does have a bit of the chain restaurant feel, I would highly recommend.
(4)Stephen W.
(4)Sean D.

Awful service. Waited an hour for our food an when it came out it was ice cold all of our plates. Never got refills on our drinks. None of our orders were correct.
(1)richard w.
it's good food. but the real draw for us is the quiet area, with large tables that fit the whole extended family for special occasions. we just had a birthday party and the staff was most understanding as we sat and talked for an hour after finishing our meal. it is that courtesy that keeps us going there for anniversaries and special out of town guests. thanks!
(4)Taylor B.

(2)Brian H.
Went there for first time and they didn't even have blue ciroque for the blue margarita that's promo in the menu. My fiancé got a sangria that was strong enough to melt your face off..undrinkable. so one more try the patron Margarita. .we basically should have just ordered shots it was so bad. Food wasn't special we both got the tour DE macayo and we're not impressed. We hope the food could have saved the horrible drinks but a fail on both ends. We will not be returning.

(2)Jerry M.
(4)Brent Y.
Great food, service was awesome and would be a good choice for Mexican food I'm sure anytime
(5)Judy R.
We usually get decent service but tonite is ridiculous, very disorganized little to no service waiting forever for our food and it's not that busy and it's Tuesday.....
(3)DaveD W.
(4)Gilbert T.
(5)Zander L.
Pretty good I go here with my family every few weeks and they always have room.
(3)Joshua B.
(2)Patti B.
Was seated immediately upon arriving. The waiter was attentive. Salsa could have been spicier, but the guacamole was really good. I ordered fajitas which were great. Husband ordered a chimichanga but got a burrito. A little pricey, but overall good. We might be back.
(3)Scott P.
Food is always good, service is equally good, nice and quiet atmosphere. The Patron Margaritas are killer! Probably the best place to eat in the area.
(5)Anna T.
(3)Danielle B.
I always enjoy Macayos. We have never had to wait very long to be seated and our waiter is always prompt. My fiancé loves the chimichangas and I like the tacos. Definitely recommend the Patron margarita
(5)Karol B.
It's just ok.....nothing special at all. I had the chilli relleno and it was only ok....I HATE it when the chilli still has the seeds and this one did....it takes 2 seconds to clean them out so come on guys step it up! If you need a quick dinner then it won't be awful but it won't be the best!
(2)Roger T.
(3)Adam F.
(3)Amanda P.
Never got seated. People were very rude and would not look at you when you walked in. Waited to put name on list for fifteen minutes. Never got day

(2)Eve C.
(2)Sean O.
Off the hook great Sonoran Mexican food! Everything was perfect and the service was great.
(5)Cheryl M.
(3)Michael H.
The meal always starts with a complimentary bowl of chips and salsa. The chips were missing a key ingredient - salt! The house salsa is not great at all. It reminds me very much of a bottled salsa. It tastes like it is made with a tomato paste base. For dinner my wife and I shared the carne asada grilled tacos and the chicken poblano. The tacos (2) come with two corn tortillas per taco. The carne asada was prepared with a pico de gallo. The tacos came with an avocado sauce which was delicious. The entrée came with black beans (with cheese) and their Mexican rice. The rice tasted too salty and the beans were ok. The chicken poblano was simply delicious! They take a poblano pepper that is stuffed with a shredded chicken. It is then breaded and then cooked. We had ours with no enchilada sauce (no desire to ruin the taste of the pepper). It is served with their baja sauce (very tasty) and cheese and tomatoes on the side. The entrée is accompanied with refried beans and rice. We did not care for either of these (rice was salty and the beans were on the dry side). The service was very good. Our waiter refilled drinks frequently.
