Thought we would give Joe's a try because our friends highly recommended them. Ordered our food which we got real fast which is good to bad pancakes were ice cold, eggs luke warm. My wife had to use the restroom big mistake it was not clean had to go outside to get to. We will not be returning, we will drive the extra five miles to our favorite breakfast spot.

The food here was nothing to write home about, especially for the price. $7 for two eggs hash browns and sausage is what you would expect to pay at an IHOP or Denny's. If you go to a hole in the wall, ma and pop place like this, you expect to either have good prices or really good food and friendly servers. Joes lacks in two of three of these areas. Our waitress was nice, however she passed us up twice on the coffee refills. We were seated at a large table in which we were asked to share with another couple, which we agreed to. Our orders were taken at the same time and the other couples food came out immediately and ours took in upwards of 30 mins to come out. The other couple had eaten, paid and left by the time we got our food. As I stated already I got the two eggs, hash browns and sausage meal and asked fro the eggs over medium, my girlfriend got the recommended "best" french toast. Both of our meals were cold and/or under cooked. If you are looking for a good local restaurant to support I recommend Bread and Butter. Much better food, prices and service.

Nothing special. Family-oriented and good service. I loved it. It was simple but nice. The coffee isn't the best. I'd meet you here for breakfast anytime.

Love their full stack of buttermilk pancakes, their sourdough bread and home fries (browned potatoes with the skin on) Stay away from the item with cheese. I have gotten take out the past 3 Sundays, it is becoming a habit.

Wow! As former Tucsonans we regret not finding this place when we actually lived there! The coffee was good and always full. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Jackie was not only very attentive but also hilarious! We will back whenever we are in town.

Pretty decent breakfast if you're looking for nothing fancy, reminds me of growing up in my aunts/ Grammas kitchen on weekend mornings! I've had the pancakes and eggs, etc. Typically pretty busy, but worth a short wait :)

It's Sunday morning, 8:20 AM and I have 40 minutes until I meet the seller, inspect the goods and make the purchase (Shhhh!). I've been driving around checking out the area and I see Joe's. I prefer going to a local business rather then a nationwide chain if I can and this fit the bill perfectly. DECORE & SERVICE: It's not fancy and is a bit older, but it's clean and has a lot of character! The service was friendly, efficient and FAST, even after ordering. Three different servers tried to give me coffee, but I don't drink coffee. My server checked on me a few times, which I appreciate. Restrooms are on the back side of the kitchen, but you can't go through the kitchen, so you have to go out the door, to the right about 20 feet and in that door. FOOD: I ordered the Chorizo and egg scramble with hash browns "well done". My food arrived VERY quickly after ordering (maybe 6 minutes?) and they did such a good job of scrambling, I was wondered where the eggs were! LOL The chorizo had a really good flavor and was NOT greasy (my biggest complaint about most chorizo). The hash browns, while good, weren't as "well done" as I think they could be or should be, but then I'm picky about my hash browns. OVERALL: It's a really great, friendly, LOCAL place with good food where they'll make you feel like a good friend.

Eew! Pancakes were horrible. It was like someone grabbed flour and just added water. My husband couldn't even eat them. The scrambled eggs were like hotel water made buffet taste.... Seriously.. Eew. Sorry Joe, but you need new cooks.

Don't be deceived by the outside appearance of Joes. This breakfast spot has that "eatin' at home feeling". The service is great and the food is well priced. go during the week and you can get the specials: so much GOOD food for cheap!

What it lacks in glitz and glam it makes up for in heart and soul! Located in a languishing ex-Walgreen's shopping center, it advertises steak sandwiches and inexpensive breakfasts. The rough shod interior looks like a set from Rhoda but, it was clean and the service was fast. I ordered a Greek Salad and hubby had Chicken Fried Steak. Baby had a side of fries. My salad was fresh and came with a homemade Greek vinaigrette. The salad had a lot of Greek olives, pickles, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta and carrots. Notably-it was topped with Sumaki (Sumac)-a peppery looking coarse powder. The fries were the kind I like-not steak fries, not shoestrings but in-between. Soft and browned and crispy. We sat below an autograph by George Clooney. Apparently the owners were in Three Kings and met him. There are newspaper clippings and photos from the movie, too. Great neighborhood diner. We'll be back to sit in Carrie's section with the kids next time.

The food was good but the service was awesome. Met hubs for breakfast here today and wasn't disappointed. Our server was everything that I love when eating out...and she was super busy. Impressive. I had one of the incredibly cheap breakfast specials ($3.95 for eggs, bacon and french toast, woo hoo!) and hubs had steak and eggs. I am definitely NOT a breakfast steak person so I thought that his looked overly greasy and unappetizing, much like all breakfast steak looks to me. I loved my breakfast though. They do sprinkle powdered sugar on top of their French Toast though and I think that I will ask them to leave that out next time. There will definitely be a next time.

Great local breakfast spot, it has a hometown feel. The french toast is my favorite, I don't care for their pancakes. But fast friendly service

Well for the brief time I was there, I can tell you this: - Eggs over medium were perfect - The toast is high quality bread and comes well buttered, which I like - Home fries could use a little more seasoning but were cooked fine - The place was PACKED - Service was fast and polite - Silverware and cups were clean I will be back for sure - worth experiencing for breakfast for sure.

My fiancé and I visited Joes today. I ate there about a year ago and the food was good then, and good now. We usually go to Denney's, but honestly, Denny's isn't that great, the pancakes taste like plastic. Joe's is one of my favorite places to eat in Tucson! I get the biscuits and gravy, eggs, and hash browns. More than enough to fill me up and keep me happy. It taste like my mom makes. The staff is fast and friendly, and we only paid 24$ for two drinks, two orders of biscuits and gravy, an omelette that was stuffed with sausage and cheese, a hearty side of house potatoes, a side of hash browns, and scrambled eggs. We had left overs of course. That would have run us 30$ plus anywhere else for more processed food. I love this place, and I love the feel it gives me when I go inside. It reminds me of the diners of my childhood. They don't need romantic lighting, a red carpet, and servers with super powers like so many people expect. They are perfect how they are. I will keep going back for a breakfast that blows Denny's out of the water.

Used to come here all the time as a kid, great memories. Recently went back and ordered pecan pancakes. The pancakes were heavy and simply had STALE pecans thrown on top, none in the battery also was not brought any syrup, I had to go grab some from another table . my glass of Apple juice was $3.50,the stale pecans? $2.50 extra.

Joe's is great! I've been eating here a LONG time! Used to get breakfast with my dad, so that goes way back. And have always enjoyed it. They're serving Eggs Benedict as a weekend special. You get this and a side. The eggs are poached perfectly. Runny, golden yolks when you put your fork in them. The Hollandaise sauce is creamy and lemony. Both are the perfect topping to the Canadian bacon and English muffin. I get mine with grits. I love grits and Joe's is one of the few places I've found that serve grits. January 22 is National Eggs Benedict day and they said they'd be serving them even though it's a Wednesday. Actually, they serve Eggs Benedict every day, you just need to ask. But 1/22 is my birthday, so I know where I'm having breakfast! ;-) The service is friendly, attentive and if you come often they get to know you and your preferences. Food comes quickly and ours has always been served hot. This is our Sunday after Mass breakfast spot and will continue to be. Yummy!

My home fries were rejected by my mouth, so next time I'll try the hash browns, because there will be a next time. I had an English muffin egg sandwich. But this guys huevos rancheros looked really good.

Friendly service, food was prepared fast and was pretty good.

The second star is for the service, because the food at this place has nothing to recommend it. I ordered a veggie/cheese omelet with pancakes and fruit cocktail and split it with my kids. The omelet was easily the greasiest one I've ever eaten, and the only options for veggies were onions, peppers, tomatoes, and canned mushrooms, no spinach or broccoli. The pancakes, while containing real buttermilk, were loaded with imitation vanilla. They also contained too much baking powder and were probably made with batter that had sat around and been stirred too many times, because they tasted cottony and tough. The fruit cocktail was from a can. Allie, our waitress, deserves to work at a better place. Allie, you're awesome. Go work somewhere with better food, and I'll come visit and leave you a nice tip.

My kids go every Friday to Joes and then we often go again on Sundays as a family. It's in the neighborhood, cheap for breakfast and VERY good! The wait staff is always friendly, it's ALWAYS busy, the coffee is fabulous. Seriously the best Hash browns I've ever had.

I was craving blueberry pancakes and thought a "pancake house" would be the best place. I've been coming here for years and it's always been good. This time I was very disappointed. I thought blueberry pancakes meant they either mixed the berries in the mix or sprinkled them on top. Boy was I surprised when I get a cup of warm blueberry pie filling. YUCK!! My boyfriend's hash browns tasted old/freezer burned. Never going back.

Joe's one notable quality is that it's open for a few hours on New Year's Day. Nothing cures New Year's Eve overindulgence like eggs and hot coffee that someone else made. Otherwise, a typical greasy spoon on the east side. I order the Joe's muffin, an egg and cheese sandwich, and always, the diner coffee.

Fast, tasty, easy-going and inexpensive; what more can you ask for? The food is served hot, the waitresses are cheerful, the place is clean and bright and the prices are low. The coffee's excellent too. Fancy? No. Worth what you pay? Easily. I'll take it over IHOP or any of those other breakfast chains in a heartbeat.

alright, let me say this much...i love this place! sure it is probably not decorated pretty like some other places but wowsers on how great the food is here. i have yet to find pancakes as delicious as this place and the weird thing is they have great menudo on the weekends. (who would've thought) the tacos aren't bad either. the prices are exceptional and what makes this place a favorite is the service! the ladies here are amazing and make your day that much better in a world where people don't often smile or have time for a hello! these ladies are awesome great job jackie, lisa, pat & stacey! for those wondering i have been coming here since before i had my baby and through my very difficult pregnancy. (she is now three!) they give you that homey warm feeling and i love this place. they even have a picture of my baby on their wall! the food is great! the service is great! and the smiles are free!

A steady, diner-style joint that never disappoints. Basic breakfast and lunch menu that doesn't change (and hopefully never does). The only place in town where you can get a full breakfast for $1.95 on the weekdays. No kidding. Eggs, potatoes, and a breakfast meat, or pancakes, potatoes, and a breakfast meat. Killer deal. Their omelettes are the best. Always ask for the "cheese inside" or else their default is to top it with cheese. I like mine inside. This place has never seen a weak cup of coffee, either. It's not a Denny's with all the various "skillets" and such, and definitely not IHOP with the chocolate sundae pancakes and whatever. This is serious diner fare for serious breakfast eaters. If you want pancakes topped with jelly beans, go to IHOP.

Kinda a small mom and pap place very nice with fast friendly service. The food was pretty good and very reasonably priced.
(4)Kris M.
Nice people, and good service in my experience. Definitely a typical greasy spoon diner. Food is consistent and the service is fast. The place is small but it's all booths, which is nice. Breakfast dishes come with some good sides and your coffee stays refilled without having to find someone to ask. Plus: If you like menudo, you can ask for it on weekends even though it's not really on the menu.

YAY! I am totally a fan of Joe's Pancake House! I had a really good experience sitting at the counter! Jackie was very welcoming! I had Oatmeal, Wheat Toast, a Fruit Cup and Coffee. My total was $10.22.
