Please don't interrupt me while I'm ordering, then be condescending and tell me to repeat my order. We had to wait for the check while watching the three servers stuff their faces with food while serving and doing side work all while someone's food sat in the window waiting to be run. We used to come to this jerry bobs 3 times a week at least and loved it. Something seriously changed. The food is so inconsistent and the two main servers have run out anyone fresh. Their "I'm irreplaceable" attitude is unappetizing. We've waited as long as 45 minutes for our breakfast.

Wait staff should concentrate on getting orders delived to tables when they're ready instead of prolonged periods under heat lamp. We went to Thornydale location Wednesday about 8 am. Restaurant was not that busy but steady and did not appear understaffed. Breakfast of eggs, pancakes, toast all served cold to not even warm. Apparently we weren't the only ones as we witnessed fresh orders being returned and dumped in trash. I have visited a couple other Jerry Bobs and noticed similar pattern of food orders complete but just sit waiting for waitress. There never any one in charge, just a bunch of waitresses running around bumping into each other bickering etc. My wife refuses to eat there I will not return either.

This place is definitely A-OK. I do not agree that this place is life changing or that it is the best breakfast in town. Jerry Bob's serves the right type of food in the right environment at the right price. You get exactly what you came for: a cheap and satisfying breakfast with no frills. The service here has been adequate, my coffee always full, and I have always enjoyed my food because I order what I know I will like. The atmosphere is really low key and somewhat dingy, so if your looking to be impressed this is not the place to go.

This is the best breakfast place ever! I would not go anywhere else for breakfast and this has to be one of the only places I am okay waiting in a line to eat at. They have so many things on the menu to choose from and everything I have ever had was great and made to order! Everything seems to be from scratch (especially their huge and I mean HUGE chicken fried steak). They have had the same staff working there for as long as I can remember (10 years?) and they are super nice! It is a great little place to have breakfast. This specific Jerry Bobs is the one I speak of because I have been to others and this is the top one!

I used to hate breakfast food, until this place changed my mind. It looks like a hole in the wall, and that's because it is. I like that the waitresses know my name. They're always busy in the morning but some how the service is always ridiculously quick (I order and the food is at my table in 2.5 minutes) . Monday - Friday they have a special where you can get 4 items for $5.29. The portions at this place are very generous. I get coffee, biscuits and gravy, hash browns and toast, and eggs. The hash browns and biscuits and gravy are my personal favorite. I'm usually exhausted when I come in because work 10 hour shifts at night and have class an hour after that. In between the break, I stop in here for a quick meal, and they have no problem keeping my mug refilled with hot coffee. I love this place.

Right after we sat down, one of the waitresses (turns out not the one servicing us) rushed over and grabbed our coffee mugs and moved them to an empty table next us, without saying why. This is before we placed our drink orders. Good thing we didn't order coffee. Service was extremely slow. There were only three tables in the restaurant and the other two had already received their food when we ordered. Even then, it took more than 20 minutes to get our food. Once we got our food, we didn't hear from our waitress anymore......not even to drop off the check or ask how everything was! Throughout our meal, most of the waitresses were congregating at the counter chatting and eating. Suggest the owner should pop in unannounced from time to time to see how the restaurant is being run. Definitely NOT going back.

My favorite breakfast place. Great Burritos, but they charge you extra for Sour Cream! ;( they also offer a great fixed price (less than)$5.00 breakfast from open thru lunch! Really good omelets, French toast, etc. Going again and again!

Jerry Bob's doesn't look like much on the outside--okay, or the inside--but what it lacks in eye-catching decor it more than makes up for in value. Everything on the menu is $6.99 or less and choices range from breakfast to burgers. I only had a simple BLT when I was there but it was perfectly suffice and arrived at my table in about five minutes. It's hard to complain about good food that arrives before you even have a chance to remember what it was you ordered.

I've had to revise my eating habits for health reasons so I have switched to egg white omelettes. I now eat the Spinach Mushroom Omelet without cheese. Good egg white omelets are surprisingly hard to find. Most at limp and lifeless. J Bob's makes the best egg white omelette that I have found in Tucson after months of trying a host of places. Actually it makes the best one in the State. After spending a couple weeks traveling AZ, the only one that comes close is one prepared at the Buttes Resort. J Bobs uses only fresh baby spinach and fresh mushrooms and the egg is fluffy and slightly browned to perfection. The flavor of the spinach and mushrooms really shine through. I now prefer this omelet to one made with yolks.

I would rate JB 5 stars, but I have to knock it down for the help. It is not ok for servers to be standing around talking for 5 minutes and more while food is up on the shelf, there are dirty tables, people waiting to check out & people to be seated. We have eaten here many times & love the food..but it really seems the employees forget they are paid to work & serve & not dance & chit chat.

I used to come here all the time with my parents on Sundays when I was in high school and later with friends/boyfriends for lunch. Back then the service was fast and good (usually). The last couple times I've been to this location, it didn't have the same feel to it. Even my sister feels the same. She said that when she's been there with a friend or two, the staff is rude and forgetful. I have to agree. Perhaps, now that I have been to another Jerry Bobs to compare it to, I can honestly say I've experienced better. The Jerry Bobs on Oracle by the Walmart Neighborhood Market is 10 times better.

didn't go here much, even though i live about 600 steps away from it, but i was on a diet and this place is a caloric nightmare, but the breakfast was awesome. Pancake very fluffy, service was good, but going here everyday would kill me. Litterally!

Ate at Jerry Bob's twice last week. First time I went in, the place was packed. It looked like a regular "breakfast" crowd was congregated on three tables they had put together. Poor waitress was the only one there and looked flustered. I grabbed a table at random and, from the time I walked in the door to the time I had my coffee was less than five minutes and in another five minutes I had my order. Because the waitress was busy the cook walked out and gave it to be. To those who complain about the service, your head must be jammed up a very dark place. Kudos to Jerry Bob's for great service.

LOVED IT!! My first time in Tucson Arizona, and family members suggested breakfast at Jerry Bob's. Was among the best breakfast meals I have had in a long long time. In addition to their menu, look at the whiteboard in the back of the restaurant. On that board, I found the "create your own omelette". I got that with pancakes. It was super cheesy, super yummy!! And it was only around $8.00!!!!! That is an absolute steal for breakfast this delicious. If I lived in Tucson Arizona, I would eat at this place a lot!!

Breakfast review here: Call me crazy-- I like this place!! ha! I typically don't support strip mall restaurants and chains, but this place is an exception. Take it for what it's worth: THE LOCAL DINER. Jerry Bob's serves up the best breakfast in Oro Valley.... with a smile too! The waitresses are very friendly and even called me Darlin' That was cute ;) My coffee cup was always full and my meal came out in a jiffy (and a smile). The portions are generous and the prices are small My Midwestern parents are meat-and-potato-down-home-meal eaters and I can't wait to take them here.

I kept hearing about their chicken fried steak here, so I thought I'd have to try it... here's my Yelp-put: PROS: - Wait staff here is all very attentive and extremely friendly. They were sweet and never let our drinks get more then halfway empty. All of our orders, even the more complicated and picky eaters of our group, were all satisfied and there were no mishaps. - Professional eaters only! You will leave here full. Portions were large. The CFS was VERY large and heavily battered. - The omelette wasn't greasy or overly buttered. - They allow fruit and side substitutes in place of potatoes or toast. CONS: - Nothing was a stand-out, and although it was good food, I felt I could've done the same or better at home. - Even with a wait, there were quite a few people sitting at their tables even after having finished their meals, just reading papers. It would be nice to be seated when people are waiting. - The menu options are lacking a little luster. - There is another JB's not too far away that offers coupons in the local papers, that are not honored at this restaurant. This can be a little frustrating for some patrons as I watched 2 different tables try and present these without success.

I frequent this Jerry Bob's & the one on Oro Valley. This one used to be by favorite...until yesterday. Don't get me wrong, the service was great, she was attentive, & kept our drinks filled. What changed everything for me was the chicken fried steak. I've eaten it dozens of times & it's normally delicious. I could barely cut the steak. It was mostly breaking, & it kept falling off. The steak was gristly, & fatty. I could only eat a few bites before I gave up. I don't know what happened, it used to be great. I'll definitely give them another try considering their track record, just not sure if I'd order the chicken fried steak again.

This place is a great place to get cheap, classic American breakfasts. During the week they have $1.99 and specials. My favorite is the chicken fried steak and eggs. You get a huge chicken fried steak, 2 eggs, hashbrowns and toast. This is a ton of great quality food for really cheap. The square meal is another good choice. Well worth trying out for breakfast. The waitresses have been there for years and they take great care of you.
