Monthly lunch with my fellow colleagues the other day and the person assigned to get lunch ordered from Fresh and had it delivered. My selection was the Chopped Italian salad. The salad consists of mixed greens, salami, smoked turkey, tomato, garbanzo beans and parmesan cheese served with the house vinaigrette. The salad was lacking for me. I think such a salad would be so much better with a few more Italian-esque ingredients in it, perhaps a little more anitpasto like. I know, it's not advertised as antipasto but c'mon....this salad was boring. Throw in a couple of olives, some artichoke hearts, some sliced pepperoncinis. Maybe my tastebuds were having an off day but the salami wasn't very flavorful either. Charge a couple dollars more for a more inventive salad. Please! I do want to give them another chance since so many reviews on here are glowing. Maybe I need to stick with a panini or something but I really do love salads for summer lunches.

I've been here three times now and I've enjoyed everything! The breakfast wrap is awesome. Just make sure to ask for some salsa. If you're in the mood for something tropical, give the Pineapple Express smoothie a try! The views out the north window in the morning are entertaining. We watched funny little ground squirrels play and lizards climb up walls. It was a pleasant way to start off our day!

Stopped today for lunch. I had heard about it but was surprised by the limited menu. I guess I thought it was more of a sandwich place. They have a menu of 3 or 4 salads and the same number of sandwich options. My date had a panini which he thought was okay. I had a chopped salad. It was also ok. I could have used a bit more dressing. I am sure I could have asked for it but honestly, I was just too lazy to go ask. We both had small smoothies and they were yummy. My salad was pre made and package to go. I assume it was made today but I don't know that for a fact. There could have been a little more of the fixings on the salad. My date's sandwich was heated on a grill and took a little longer to make. Price wise, I thought it was a little high for a salad, panini with no side of any kind and 2 smoothies was $28.00. Decor was bright and fun. Wait staff was very nice. Will I go back? It is kind of out of my normal travel route so if I happen by I might stop in.

i am in love with fresh! Its literally, fresh and fabulous. The smoothies are made from fresh fruit (for real), which is hard to find and are worth every penny! The egg sandwich is incredible, on a homemade english muffin, which is unlike any english muffin i have ever had! I love how the egg sandwich is different and unique, with garlic aioli, cured ham, and cream cheese.... mmm... their pastries are phenomenal! their tacos are delectable, spicy, but fabulous. basically you can't go wrong here. my favorite part is the strawberry chicken salad! they are not stingy with the strawberries, and they have a great homemade dressing!!

I've been here at least once a week for about 2 months now - this place is money!! They've remodeled and it's been under new management for a few months now. It's more than just a coffee shop, their food is unbelievable - I've had the breakfast wrap, the club and the panini - all are fantastic. By far my favorite item is the peanut butter protein bar - those things have become legendary. Apparently folks come from all over town and buy them out, so make sure you get there early. Everything is local, organic and healthy (Pumpkin Pie smoothie made with REAL pumpkin and agave...where else are you finding that in Tucson??). The owners know their stuff and run all kinds of cool specials and events. Make sure you hit Taco Tuesdays!! We've sent friends there and they all come back with pretty much the same account: quality food/drink/atmosphere and the most friendly employees you'll come across. 5 stars all around!!

Simple really... start with a small menu of options and do each one really well. How hard is that? According to a few Tucson restaurants, extremely challenging, but Fresh is firing on all cylinders. It doesn't matter if you're getting a salad, a breakfast sandwich or a wrap, every item is so well thought out and every ingredient was carefully chosen, you bite into food at Fresh a taste passion. Their smoothies are incredible as well. Fresh fruit? Yes please. Why did I ever think frozen would taste better? They have a number of blended bevs that don't include dairy if that's your thang, and the flavors are unlike anything you've experienced in Tucson because I'm not certain anywhere else is using fresh strawberries in their strawberry smoothie. Bright, tangy, crisp and clean, those puppies are an explosion of flavor and I wish more spots in town would take note. Simply your menu. Get a few things really REALLY right, and leave it at that. We Tuconans don't want oodles of options, we want amazing food.

Not horrible, but I probably won't be going back. Stopped by Fresh around noon for a quick lunch - the roast beef sandwich tasted good, but the bread was stale and the edge of the bread was soggy... the sandwich was made earlier that day. We have visited FRESH several times now and have had amazing service everytime, The new management is very friendly and makes sure you are well taken care off. We have tried the breakfast wrap and the NEW Cartel Coffee they serve as well as the sandwiches and wrapes my favorite is the chicken avocado wrap and lets not forget unforgetable Protien Bars that are made fresh every morning. The atmosphere is very enjoyable, great patio and clean dining room. We will for sure be back to enjoy the monthly specials.

Love this place! We went with a groupon that was purchased months ago and I was really impressed with the quality of the food. So good. It was yesterday morning, my husband and I brought our 20 month old along to have some breakfast. Other than coffee we didn't get breakfast we actually ordered lunch. The girl working the counter was super friendly and made my husband a caramel macchiato (I'm sure that's spelled wrong) even though it wasn't on the menu. We got a orange cherry scone for the little guy, it was so good, as was the tuna sandwhich my husband ordered. Seasoned so well nothing needed anything extra, perfect! I love eating places that know how to season their food, makes a big difference in flavor. I got the strawberry chicken salad but took it home as I wasn't very hungry after drinking my yummy vanilla latte. The salad was great later that afternoon, crunch almonds nice sweet dressing and fresh strawberries. We will be back! Thanks Fresh!

Best breakfast sandwhich in town!!! Absoluetly delicious and I love that the english muffins are made in house. Try it and also grab a tres leches latte or the nutella latte. Both will put a big smile on your face! Love Fresh, my new favorite coffee house in Tucson!

Had a quick lunch here where I got the special- a roasted red pepper chicken salad pressed sandwich. Long name, but worth it! They made it fresh but were a little skimpy on the chicken salad, but they gave me a whole bunch more as soon as I pointed it out. Also had a smoothie which was good, and very fresh but not anything out of the ordinary. They also had a great little patio outside to sit at and the decor was very fun, I loved the bright green walls!

Such an amazing place! I love their taco Tuesday. What I love the most is, you don't always have to have tacos, you can get them as a salad. I had not been able to go for a couple months, but decided to go today. Everything was great as usual, I was also told they are under new management. The people seemed exited and very enthusiastic of the place. I had a smoothy and it was fresh and amazing as always. So many healthy and fresh items to choose from. This is one place I will never grow tired of. They serve breakfast and lunch, fresh brewed coffee drinks and fresh made smoothies. You can't go wrong with any of this. Stop by and give them a try!!

Really wanted to give this place a better review, but I just can't. First off- got a smoothie and it was good, tasty, albeit a little on the thin side. Next- the espresso. Tragic. Couldn't even drink it...literally. Ordered a latte and the espresso/milk was so burnt and bitter I had to throw it away. Only one worker in at a time so can wait a while at times. But she was super sweet and I felt badly for her and how stressed she seemed with both taking orders and filling them.

One part of my "dining trio" (Gary, my dear husband) and I visited Fresh, on River Rd, east of Campbell and Rio Cancion Apartments (I used to live there back in the 80s when the only thing east of the apartments was an equestrian school!). It was a quiet sunny weekend morning, and the restaurant contained a table of happy diners at that moment. It is located next to a fitness center. Fresh is owned by the same folks who own the restaurant Zona 78. We chose to eat inside, although the umbrellas, tables and chairs outside sure looked inviting and pleasant. The menu is a limited one; they focus on fresh ingredients. I ordered a freshly baked English muffin egg sandwich with a special type of ham in it. Gary ordered a whole wheat egg sandwich, complete with fresh veggies. His came in a clear plastic to-go type box. Mine came on a small ceramic dish. I also ordered a freshly brewed Tres Leches coffee beverage. Very different and enjoyable. I seriously contemplated some wonderful looking freshly baked scones, cookies and other baked goods in the counter display--but on this day, will won over sweet tooth. The two men serving were very pleasant and eager to please, and the ambiance was mellow and peaceful. We enjoyed our tasty little repast!

I was skipping out on work and decided to go here for light breakfast. First, the map on google is a little off from the actual location of this place. It is just a hair further east. Anyway. I got here and ordered the fresh breakfast sandwich and split a yogurt parfait with my friend. The yogurt, berries, and granola were awesome. I have a weakness for granola and this played right into it. The sandwich was fantastic. The egg was cooked perfectly and the went great with the english muffin. I loved everything about my sandwich. On our way out we ordered the PB&J smoothie. Holy crap, it really tastes like PB&J and was delicious. The interior seating and entire set-up is very cool and they do have some outdoor seating. Overall, I was impressed and cannot wait to go back and try some other things.

During my whirlwind of a recent 24 hours in Tucson, Corey D and I had an hour or so to kill between meetings... We were both hungry but wanted to keep it healthy, so we popped into Fresh for some salads and smoothies. Sure, it's a small space and has a limited menu, but everything is indeed fresh and made daily. They've got indoor and outdoor seating, friendly service, and free wifi. I love the green chairs inside and the clean decor as well. I went for the Chopped salad and Corey had the Cobb... or was it the other way around? Either way, we were both happy with our selections. Corey generously shared his PB&J smoothie with me as well... delicious! If you're looking for healthy sandwiches, salads, smoothies, coffee and/or pastries in a fast, casual, clean, and happy environment, Fresh is your place. I'm indeed a fan and would be a regular if I lived closer!

So I had heard of this place, and today we finally got to try it. It's nestled in the corner so it might be hard to find, and the parking is a little claustrophobic. Anyways! They have GREAT coffee. According to the Barista they have the "Ferrari of espresso makers" "There are only two in the state, and we have one of them." Well good coffee makes me go back to places as a return customer. The food well could have been better it's all pre made and refrigerated, and microwaved. But its OK at least the coffee was good. I will have to go back and try the smoothies.

After going there several times going to Fresh I am sad to report my last visit was not up to par. I went with a group of people and the service / product was not how it used to be and the price was outrageous to say the least. I entered and was not greet by the staff and I do understand that the group I was meeting with was taking up most the inside of Fresh, but a little acknowledgement would have went a long way. Also, I ordered the Vienna Latte with an extra shot. It not only was one of the worst espresso based drinks I have ever had, but it was EXPENSIVE $7+ for a coffee?!?! After realizing the price for the drink I was put off by ordering any products. I really love Fresh and obviously from prior posts I do praise their products, but this time it was one of the worst experiences I have had.

My wife and I came here three of the four mornings while visiting from out of town. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the breakfast sandwiches were really good. The protein bar with chocolate is outstanding. We bought one each day for our hike. The staff was very friendly and gave us several suggestions for other restaurants for dinner. We will be back next time in Tucson.

A great place for breakfast or lunch. This new cafe is bright, modern and fresh. The food and drink is delicious and made with exceptional care. From hand crafted espresso and homebaked English muffins to a host of tasty smoothies, this is an excellent choice. Two recommendations: egg sandwich for breakfast and Tuesday/Wednesday chicken taco special are both worth the trip. The added benefit is that the menu has been developed with the folks at the adjoining gym so it's not only fresh and tasty but healthy and comes in reasonable portions.

I am always looking for a good breakfast place, and Fresh became one of my favorite places for breakfast. Fresh has a fairly limited menu, but everything on the menu is excellent. What I love about Fresh is that they make everything fresh daily from scratch. Fresh also provides free WiFi and the service was very attentive. It's a good place to go to start off your morning, and the free WiFi allows you to get some work done as well. There are few things you must try when you go. * The smoothies: Everything on the list is good because they are all made with fresh fruit. The menu lists what fruit is in what smoothie, so which one is best just depends on your personal preference. Juice concentrate??? Don't even think about it. It's not available at Fresh. I had the Fresh Orange Crush and it was super tasty. I especially loved the mango flavor. Love, Love, Love it! * Coffee: I had the Caramel Macchiato. It wasn't on the list, but they made it for me anyway. Especially for me! It was really good with great tasting fresh coffee beans, and I have to say that it's better than the Starbucks coffee that I usually have elsewhere. * Fresh Breakfast Sandwich: They use a freshly-made English muffin that is made in-house every day with egg, Cappicola, tomato, garlic aioli, and caper cream cheese. It blew me away!!!!! This is the best English muffin I have ever had!!!!! While I am writing this review, my stomach started growling for some more food from Fresh, and I'm already looking forward to the next time I get to satisfy the craving.

It's all about the strawberry chicken salad! Totally yummy and full of flavor. The lettuces are all fresh and crisp and the honey balsamic is probably one of my favorite dressings ever. I'm in love with their Orange Crush and Tropical Thunder. Although that may change as I try each smoothie. They satisfy my sweet tooth and you can taste the ripeness of each fruit. I wish I worked closer because I would be there every day! The folks whipping up these amazing concoctions are wonderful, kind and provide excellent service.

In short, Fresh is nothing short of fantastic. Before Isabella J. was famous and had her CM position, she wrote a rather lovely review (compliment sent, of course) for Fresh. I immediately bookmarked the business and looked forward to my visit. I kind of forgot about it for a while, but then I stumbled upon Ana T.'s review. I knew I had to come here ASAP. Fresh doesn't get much more local or (insert synonym for "fresh") than this, folks. From my understanding, the plaza that houses Fresh also contains a gym and a cardiologist's office. The gym owner and cardiologist decided to create this little joint venture..and named it Fresh. I.LOVE.IT.HERE . As hinted before, I never would have come here without all of the great reviews written by my fellow Yelpers-- so, thank you! Finding Fresh was a feat in itself for some reason. I kept driving up and down River and just couldn't find it. TIP: Turn south onto Evening Mist, and it will be on your immediate right. It has light bright green umbrellas outside. Okay, I totally dig the atmosphere and color scheme of this place. It almost reminded me a little bit of a spa's cafe, but I don't mind that! There's about 4 tables inside with a "bar" on the north wall that overlooks River Rd. I spotted around 5 shaded tables outside, too. Fresh offered some of the friendliest employee interaction I've experienced in a very long time. As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed by the duo like I was a life-long loyal customer. They gave me great direction on what is most popular, what they like the most, etc. and I ordered away. I'm glad I took their advice. --Hawaiian Tropic ($5.50): I unknowingly ordered what was the best smoothie. Of my entire life. Strawberries, mangos, pineapple, passion fruit, a dash of coconut milk, and agave nectar. All fresh (not frozen) fruits, of course. I should have gotten the large one. Just get this..you won't be sorry. --Panini ($6.25?): The best panini bread I've had in the States. It was a crispy ciabatta of sorts. Inside was chicken, roasted red peppers, carmelized onions, and a chipotle aioli. I wish that I could have tasted that aioli a little more, but this sandwich was still so, so good. I was a little put off when I saw that their dishes came in these plastic boxes, but this didn't affect my delicious meal one bit. They definitely have the "to-go" type of customer in mind. I can't wait to try this place for breakfast, too! Their menu is simple, but, of course...FRESH.

This place really needs to figure out what it wants to be. I went in looking for a light breakfast. The menu look pretty good so i decided to check Fresh out. When we arrived the grill or whatever they cook on was out of order?!! Ok???? So we ordered a cup of coffee. We ask for milk were just given a carton from the kitchen just thrown on the table.. Not sure why people like this place. The management needs to know what's going on with the business ..

Fresh certainly understands the meaning of the the term Fresh and has successfully embraced and implemented the use of fresh ingredients into all of their menu items. Carefully selecting their fruit for their smoothies, ensuring it is at its peak ripeness and freshness, and working closely with local vendors to bring the best quality into their kitchen, I have no doubt that Fresh will be a top favorite among locals. They may not have the largest menu with complex offerings, but that is exactly what I like about this place. I've had the pleasure of enjoying the Strawberry Chicken Salad, the Chicken Tacos, The Panino with Chicken, roasted Peppers and aioli, and a blissful sip of the smoothie my boyfriend ordered. (p.s. all this food was consumed over 2 visits). Th, the only word that came to mind with every bite was "fresh." It is rare to be wow'd by the intense freshness of ingredients when eating out. The strawberries on the salad were bright red and juicy as can be, the tacos were packed with chipotle flavor yet light, the panino was decadent yet simple, and the smoothie was all tropical, tangy freshness! Simple menu + fresh handpicked ingredients + passion = FRESH= perfection

Great concept. Bad execution. I stopped in there for a quick lunch. I didn't get a smoothie (which may be my mistake) but I did decide to get a sandwich. I got the club sandwich and it was just pathetic. For that much money I could have gotten a better, FRESHER sandwich as Subway! I should have listened to my friend Brenner T. and gotten the panini. My husband chose that and I enjoyed that much better. I agree it could have used more aioli. Heck, my club didn't have any sauce on it either so yeah. I thought that the guy working was slow, but hey he was cute! It took them forever to get the panini ready...I thought that was a little weird considering it was a pre-made sandwich. All and all, hidden little place on River that I won't be back to any time soon. :-/

Oh hey Nutella latte and homemade english muffin breakfast sandwich. I just wanted to say thanks for being such a delicious breakfast combo after Saturday morning runs on the Rillito path. What's up strawberry chicken salad and PB&J smoothie. You two sure know how to make lunch a serious experience. Don't think I forgot about you, chicken tacos. All that spice wrapped up in cabbage and a corn tortilla makes the drive out to the Foothills more than worth it. Hey Fresh, keep being one of the best little nuggets in Tucson. Our love affair grows stronger after every visit.

Fresh is a great way to break the chain with Starbucks Jamba Juice and the like. They take their name very seriously and you can see fruit going directly into your smoothie, and not much else which is fabulous. I had the Tropical Thunder which I would probably not get again- the grape juice threw the flavor off a bit for me, but in fairness to Fresh it was listed as an ingredient. I used to love their breakfast sandwiches but now due to an egg allergy I can't have them. That being said, I still love breakfast and I wish I could know ahead of time if they have Lox available.

The whole wheat chicken avocado wrap and the latte I had were both quite good without being exceptional. The decor was trendy and new without being distinctive. The location is central without being convenient. If I am driving by on River and I am hungry or thirsty, I might stop by Fresh again. I would not drive out of my way to get here, however.

We went to Fresh because we knew it was associated with Zona 78 and Hacienda del Sol (both are favorites of ours.) The food we got (I had a Panini and my wife had a salad - We both had smoothies) was just as advertised - Fresh & flavorful. The portions were more than plentiful. The menu was limited and the prices were a little high for pre-prepared food in a plastic take away box. All that being said: I believe that Fresh has positioned itself well for a symbiotic relationship with its neighbors; a fitness place and a heart clinic. I expect they will get plenty of post-workout business and their offerings are well targeted at those customers. One of the owners happened to be there as we were leaving and he asked us what we thought. I expressed my thoughts on the pricing, but also told him the food was great! The above three star rating reflects my thoughts on this place as a primary lunch destination. I would probably not drive out of my way to go here for a smoothie and a salad/sandwich. If Fit was a place I went to work out or I worked within walking distance of Fresh I think I would probably find myself there quite regularly and it would get higher stars. I do find the owners/management to be very responsive to input which is always a good thing - especially in today's competitive market.

I seem to always crave smoothies. There is something about the sweet, thick drink that reminds me of fun summer days of yore. Fresh has the BEST smoothies in town, in my opinion. I love the PB & J smoothies and the green smoothies. I've never seen Fresh crowded, so service is quick and friendly. The sandwiches, salads, and wraps are all healthy and delicious. It's a great place to hang out and read a book on a nice sunny day under the umbrella with outside seating.

A must go to spot!!!!! Oh my gosh!!!!! I had the pb&j smoothie, a nonfat hazelnut latte and the most delicious panini I've ever had The staff was also really helpful and friendly!!!!

Their breakfast egg sandwiches are very good just small for me, good coffee too. . A new favorite breakfast spot

Delicious chicken panini. The smoothies are sweet and fresh! And the great customer service.

This place is awesome. I have been looking for a spot exactly like this since moving to Tucson. Everything is fresh. I had a cilantro lime chicken salad that was delicious and the coffee there is really good. The staff was so kind. I will soon be back!
