The rudest bar tenders in Tucson Mark is a giant stress mess every time I've been in and can't keep track of orders or paid tabs. JOJO is a real I can't even say the word on here..... After serving me an appetizer with uncooked bacon decided to pay to try something else tried to order sliders without the burger and she said " does this look like fucking Burger King?" I will never come back here worst staff of any establishment I have ever been to.....

Meth head hang-out!!! I travelled from River and Craycroft to have some adult beverages, dine-in, watch football and gamble on some greyhound dog races. I was distracted by people pacing from table to table, picking their skin in the mirrors, and styling their hair in the mirrors. Gross! Gross! Gross! The bartender is the server. The cook is a chronic cigarette smoker, who makes time to reheat food when he is not sucking down a nicotine stick. I don't know if he washed his hands in between smoking and reheating food. Many of the menu options are pre-cooked and refrigerated. Upon ordering, the food is usually microwaved and refried again. Case in point... I ordered Hot wings and Fries. The hot wings were cold and the fries were burned... LITERALLY! The bartender returned the food and had the cook reheat a new batch of wings and fries. I paid the bill and left the food sitting on the bar. The leftover meal was the bartenders tip!!! Sorry Jo-Jo... The service is sub-standard and the food is not fit for human consumption.

Alright... I will start off and say that I may be biased on this one, so I will add the caveat that my review is for anyone who is a lover of Green Bay Packer football. This whole review is written from the perspective of a crazed fan who was in search of a place to watch Packer's football on Sunday. When I first moved to the Old Pueblo from Costa Rica, I was very excited at the prospect of joining other fans on Sundays and cheering on the team that I have loved since I understood what football was. Part of the fun of the game is enjoying it with others who share the same passion. I tried other local Packers bars, but none really delivered. They were either not dedicated to our team, or they were but the atmosphere was more exciting sitting on my couch at home. I was tipped about the Famous Sam's on Pima and Alvernon and heard that it was a great Packer bar. I was a skeptic because I didn't think that a local chain could actually be a bar for people who are fans of a team that plays 1,814 miles away. I was dead wrong! From eight to 88 years old, young and old people come from all over town on Sunday to watch the game together. It's truly a very large, very dedicated family. They have about 20 TV's's, two projectors and a great sound. They crank it up and you can catch the Packers on several different TV's. It's the best experience I've had, outside of Lambeau Field of course. The food is not gourmet bistro fare, but it is fantastic pub fare. Hamburgers are really juicy, fries and chips are home cut and crispy, and they offer a is host of fried food that is a standard for any good old fashioned bar. Try the Sriracha chicken bites, they're amazing! Finally, I have to mention the great service. The owner Gary is a very approachable and truly cares about his patrons experience. He is always happy to listen to a request and do his best to accommodate. Jenny is quite possibly my favorite waitress in Tucson. She has our table set-up for us every week, keeps her eyes on us at all times, and does everything with a beautiful smile! They focus on the Packers, but they also play every other game on the other TV's. A fantastic place to enjoy football, food and friends Sunday or any day of the week!

CHEESEHEADS UNITE! This particular Famous Sam's isn't all that different from other Famous Sam's in Tucson, it's your standard dark and somewhat divey sports bar. What sets this Famous Sam's apart, for me at least, is that it is where many Green Bay Packer fans congregate to watch the game and root on their beloved team. I went to this Famous Sam's on a Sunday with my mother and some friends to have some breakfast and catch the game. At 9 am the place was already about half full (game was at 10), definitely do not wait until game-time to show up and expect to get a seat. The breakfast menu consisted of exactly 3 items. Well, I guess technically you could count the side of hashbrowns as a 4th item. I ended up ordering an egg, cheese and sausage breakfast sandwich. It was served on a sesame seed bun and was as greasy as you'd expect from a place like this, but damn tasty. Service on gameday was a little spotty, our waitress was a sweetheart and it was clear she was working hard... Perhaps management needs to have additional staff working during the game? As a sports bar, this Famous Sam's is nothing special. As a bar for Green Bay Packer fans, it's alright but it could be better. There are no shot specials or giveaways during halftime, which are things I have seen other team-specific bars do during games. Despite this, when I am in Tucson on Sundays during the NFL season, this is where I will watch the Packers play!

Yes, a dive with terrible karaoke singers on the weekends and an atmosphere that's perfect for Sunday football and cold beer. I ordered the ultimate nachos, typical bar food, make sure you ask for real shredded cheese otherwise you'll end up with the imitation stuff served at 7-11. Over cooked chili served over tortilla chips with sour cream, jalapenos and a tasteless salsa basically describes this menu item. It is what it is...just a local neighborhood bar/restaurant serving typical bar food and average drinks.

Ohhh Sam-Sam-Sam, whatever it was that made you famous, it wasn't your wings. Being a connoisseur of wings, and liking them HOT, I asked how hot they make'm. Nuclear was the reply. So I got them. Got home, opened the lid, and I see all wings, no drumsticks. That's weak sauce in itself. The weakest sauce came when I bit into the first wing. Nuclear is mild. And it's definitely not because I can eat them hot either, they're just weak. I'd say they were pretty greasy as well. They do seem to have some good drink specials if you're on a budget. And you can bet on horses or dogs as they have races on overhead when you walk in, that could be your cup of tea. As for the atmosphere: If you wear overalls, worked in the mill in Pittsburgh, smoke 2 packs a day, on your third marriage, wear outdated T-Shirts, or just simply down and out on your luck, this may be the place for you. Not saying any of the above is bad, but it is who goes there.

If you have a hankering to hang out at a sports bar, consider the Famous Sam's at Pima and Alvernon. Buzztime Trivia, Pool, Off-Track Betting, more TV's than most war rooms, a varied clientele like their menu, a great staff, and did I mention you can do your laundry next door while you play? A great place!
