Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I thought this was going to be more of a restaurant atmosphere, it is more like a bar. There isn't much seating so if your go on a Friday night like we did you might have difficulty finding a table. When you walk in you order your food at the bar and they bring it to your table after it is done. The pizzas are a good size for the price. My husband and I weren't feeling that hungry and so we ordered one pizza and weren't able to eat it all. We got the traditional, which was good.

I really wanted to be impressed by this place... and in regards to their caprese salad, I was satisfied. Unfortunately, their margherita pizza was bland and quite disappointing. Now, I will say, I'm never too impressed by thin crust pizza... so it might not be totally on them. Even though I was thoroughly nonplussed by the food, the place was perfect for a huge group of people. They also had wonderful service and a lovely selection of beer. In short, if you like thin crust - give this place a try... if you're with a group and don't like thin crust - go for one of their salads.

clean and inviting when you walk in. They make it clear that it's an "order at the counter" kind of place, which is fine. side salads are great - more than just one slice of tomato and cuke like some places do. pizzas are fun to watch cooking in the pizza oven which faces the main dining room. they are definitely the main attraction on the menu. we tried the perogies and weren't super impressed. a little bland and a bit overcooked, so I'd stick with their pizza. a few different outdoor patios offer options to sit outside which is very nice.

Took a little detour while the car was in the "shop" (AKA Walmart Automotive Center) and decided to get dinner with the Mrs. We arrived an hour before they closed, and although it was late and slow, that didnt hinder performance and certainly not attitude, greeted by a great cast of employees, after placing our order at the window, just a classic ceasar and a very classic Pepperoni pizza, we sat down at a, for lack of a better word, cozy table with the Yin-Yang sign on it. Food arrived VERY shortly, given there was only two other tables in the restaurant at the time. The Ceasar salad is still to this day the best Ceasar Salad I have ever had, and the pizza was superb a little on the greasy side but its the prize to pay when everything is made fresh in house, to even the Parmesan cheese in the shakers. Will come back in the future!

I really wish I could say the same thing as a lot of reviews on Dry River. I have to be honest though and say that I have never really been impressed with their pizza. I am also not a fan of having to order at the counter. It just seems like a weird setup having to leave them your card and go up to the counter every time you want to order another drink. They do have a full bar but their wine selection is pretty limited. They do also have a few beers on tap. Sorry to say that I just think there are so many places in town that are so much better.
(2)Michelle F.
This is based on one dessert alone... Primarily because I called ahead to ask whether their tiramisu was really, really good, and worth driving out to get it. It was not. Definitely not even close to "really, really good." Really, really weird tiramisu, yes. If you seek authentic, this is not it. The taste isn't so bad, but not varied nor depths, and WAY overly custardly (they seem to have forgotten the many layers of cake part of it...). Half of it went in the trash, and if it weren't so late that I couldn't get some other dessert somewhere, the whole thing would have gone in the round file. :/ Two stars on execution. Lost a star for not being honest about the shitty tiramisu.

I have been here a few times, I love the salad with apples and nuts, it's delicious. The pizza is also very good, when cooked enough. The first time it was amazing but the second time it was a little undercooked and floppy. I would recommend trying this place.

We kind of figured mediocrity would be the word of the day when we went to Dry River before the cheap theater. I guess that's kind of the theme of the clump of businesses over there: blah. Functional to whet a whistle, though my beer's keg was temporarily blown just like a dry river; functional pirogies, though they were out of the one I wanted and mine are much better; functional servers though shy of kind. I didn't try the pizza because it seemed like a dry waste of calories. The balsamic dressing for my salad was good and the side salad itself was large. Just eat beforehand or do what my friend had suggested in the first place: meet for drinks.
(2)Vickie S.
The pizza is really darn good and the people are really darn friendly. Crusts are thin and they're crispy/crunchy at the edges. A pie is 13 inches in diameter, which is a good size for sharing if you're not all that hungry. I've split two pies for two people twice here and there's somewhere between 25% and 50% of a pizza left to take home. I have not tried their cookies yet but they are made in-house and they are big and golden brown. Okay, so I was led to believe this was a good selection of beers and wines. It's better than, say, 7-11, but it's a rotating list of a few, not a ton. There is a draught selection and it's not all the same style of beers. Points for local beer. There is also a cocktail list with a supremely smoky Old-Fashioned. Not for the faint of heart.
(4)Chloe O.
Although I'm not the biggest fan of thin crust pizza, the pizza here was pretty good. I had the cheese pizza and my friend had the mushroom and red pepper pizza. This place is pretty small, but is cute and has a nice outdoor patio. The walls were decorated with old school beer signs. I had the pizza and a beer and my bill came to $12. So everything is relatively cheap. The lady who served us was nice, but never came out to offer us more drinks. I had to go to the bar to get water. The best part? The old school PAC Man machine. :)
(4)Heather L.
We ate here the other night for our daughter's birthday. We ordered a lot of food, and there were no complaints, not even from my mother in law, who passionately hates everything that isn't Casa Molina or Mama Louisa's. That's saying a lot- she even managed to hate Zona 78. But I digress. My friend and I shared the antipasto app, and it was very good. Could've used a bit more meat than the 4 slices it came out with, though. We also ordered the white pie. It was very good, and the was surprisingly great for a Tucson pie. The beer selection is nice, I appreciated the upfront explanation about the standards for pie size (1 size fits all- 13"). What impressed me most though, was the service. Especially for an "order at the counter" joint. The bartender (I've forgotten her name) was friendly, prompt, and cordial. She expedited our food efficiently and was very helpful.

Updating my review.... I spent a majority of the day after eating this pizza on the toilet. Seeing as how this was the only thing I ate that day, I know where the issues arose from. I will not be going back. Working a contract gig out in Tucson. First time I've been out to try the local food. I give these guys a solid 3 stars. Toppings were over the top. Plenty of pepperoni and the mushrooms were either purchased sliced, or they use the vegetable slicer attachment on their dough mixer. Either way, there were so many on there that the aroma was making me hungry the whole way home. That's where the accolades stop. Sauce was not impressive, neither was the dough. Sorry, but dough shouldn't leave an aftertaste in your mouth, it should compliment the pie. So, had I ordered a straight up cheese pizza, this probably would have been a 2 star review or lower. As a former pizza shop owner, I know how hard this business is so I'm not criticizing to be a critic but to try and help them improve. Either way, this review, as all my others thus far after converting from "reviewed" to "reviewer" will be banished by Yelp anyways so I don't know why I'm bothering to write it.
(1)Scott K.
Pizza and salad are good but nothing to write home about. Interior was fun and funky but the walk up ordering felt a bit awkward. Looks like it would be a good neighborhood joint but a little further from my house than I'd make the trip for again. Ended up spending $50 for two people ( pizza salad two drinks + tip) and felt a little over spent despite the polite service and clean dining area.
(3)Lachlan G.
I genuinely dig the vibe of this place. I've enjoyed their pizzas, antipasto, and Italian sandwich and they were all great. Cool bar, quiet, and comfy. Nice neighborhood spot.
(4)Lary G.
Good place to go when your hungry and want a nice homemade style pizza served to you at your table. The only thing that I did not like was that the pizza was too greasy, And did not go too with my stomach very well. Other than that would go back if I went to go see a movie at the theater nearby and came out hungry.
(3)Walter T.
Worst service. Walked in and asked for recommendations and he couldn't give any saying everything is good. Never had been here before so I asked him to surprise us and get us what he thought was good. He said he wouldn't do that very rudely. I confirmed that he couldn't recommend anything or order us something and he said no. We told him we were going somewhere else and he said fine like he didn't care. Too bad pizza looked good but the service was so bad that we left before ordering.
(1)Eva R.
This is my go to place for really good pizza..Love everything about this place. Friendly staff, good beer cant ask for anything more. My happy place....
(5)Jaycie H.
I wish I could give this place 6 stars! Great customer service, amazzzzing pizza made with quality ingredients. Not to mention, where else can 2 people get a appetizer of garlic bread (amazing BTW) two side salads, a pizza and a dessert for only $20? I'm pretty sure only at this place! I will definitely be back! And telling all of my friends !
(5)Kat S.
I am a thin-crust pizza fan and wanted to like the place, but doubt I will be back. The pizza was okay. We were able to get one without cheese due to a milk allergy, but neither of us could really get the pizza we wanted due to the lack of ability to build your own and the limited selection they offer. The crust came out crispy, w hich was nice, but by the time we left, it was soggy just from sitting on the plate. The sauce was a little too tart for me. Overall, the pizza was okay, and if I had to eat here again it would be okay, but I wouldn't go out of my way. We are new to Tucson and relying on places like Yelp for help finding restaurants. Based on reviews and location, we tried this place for dinner. Myself, my husand and our two-year-old went at just before six p.m. on a Friday. There was no service; you ordered at the bar, and they did bring up the pizzas but that was absolutely the only time we saw any kind of service. We took a tiny table upstairs, and were lucky to find anything at all as the place was already really crowded. AFter dragging the highchair up while one of us carried the toddler, one of us went down to order. Then we squinted the whole time since the sun was glaring through the uncovered window at an uncomfortable angle until it went down. At that point it was too dark upstairs until sometime later they decided to turn on the lights. In short, the prices were decent, the atmosphere was average, and the service was non-existent. If i have a pizza craving, I will head to Tucson Mall for the CPK.
(3)Melissa K.
Seriously the best pizza in town! Everytime I go here I order the prosciutto pizza and am always delighted! The place is so low key, you order at the counter and then you sit down and enjoy a no nonsense slice. No frills here, or uber hip decor. Just sports on the television, an occasional live rock band and great beer. My only complaint is that its location is on the east side while I spend most of time downtown or central.. maybe they should open another location!
(5)Jessica S.
Every time I've come here I've had something different and have never been disappointed. For a true "taste of Tucson" try the Tomatillo Pizza ($10).
(5)Nick R.
This was our first time to eat at DRy River but it definitely won't be the last. My wife had the Caprese salad, one person in our group had Chicken Parmesan, and three of us had pizza. It was all beyond delicious. The pizza is thin crust and made from quality ingredients, then cooked in a brick oven. Service is fast and friendly. Oh yeah, we'll be back!
(5)Christopher R.
By far one of the best pizza places around. While all the other pizza parlors add fattening and greasy toppings Dry River keeps things simple and delicious. Along with a great selection of pizza, pasta and salads they have some very satisfying selection of micro brews for your choosing. Dry River is definitely worth a try and most likely will leave you coming back again and again.

We wandered into Dry River on a Saturday evening after seeing a movie at the Century Theatre next door. We didn't have a reservation (not sure they even take them) but they were able to seat our party of seven right away. Comfortable, casual atmosphere - the interior has a slightly industrial look with open vaulted ceilings and concrete floors, which they warmed up with burgundy walls, lots of windows, and some cozy loft seating. We sat next to the pizza making area, where you can watch the cooks throw pizzas and bake them in their wood fired oven. Watching the cooks toss the dough was entertaining, and the wood fired ovens gave off a delicious smoky smell which wafted throughout the restaurant. Our group ordered salads, pizza, and Italian sodas. The salads were okay. The romaine in our Caesar salad was really bitter, and despite there being a lot of dressing, it didn't cover up the bitter taste of the greens. The fruit and walnut salad was okay as well, but the combination of sweetened cranberries with a fairly sweet vinaigrette dressing made for an overwhelmingly sweet salad. The pizza, however, was excellent - we had the marguerite pizza, and the thin crust was perfectly crisp and held up well to the deliciously simple toppings of sauce, cheese, and finely chopped basil. The Italian sodas were also a hit - our group tried the blood orange, raspberry cream, and vanilla, and all were quite yummy. The pizza and Italian sodas more than made up for the subpar salads. Service was friendly and efficient. Business was steady when we arrived and picked up shortly after, but the kitchen got our food out quickly despite the rush. They had a decent selection of beers, including a couple of local brews on tap (Dragoon and Borderlands) and a few wines as well. I don't know that I would drive out of my way specifically to eat at Dry River, but would definitely return again if we are in the neighborhood. Overall good food, good service, and a pleasant experience - recommend!
(4)Nathan A.
Salads are over dressed Pasta sauce is bland, meatballs are horrible. Pizza (which is supposed to be their specialty) is unimpressive- limp, bland, and uninspired. Person taking orders was quite inaccurate, and several wrong dishes arrived to the table. Too bad, I wanted to like this place.
(2)Katie P.
This place has been in my bookmarks list for quite a while, and I'm really glad I went! The atmosphere was a little different than I was expecting - order at a counter and then get waited on; but that makes it appropriate for families, friend-gatherings, dates or just grabbing some food solo. They had an impressive selection of local brews, as well as a homemade sangria. For dinner, I split a caprese salad, which had gorgeous mozzarella and rich Wilcox tomatoes, and a mushroom pizza. The mushroom pizza was different than your typical mushroom pizza, and the crust was thin and crunchy. The crust was also really flavorful and great quality! Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience, and as pizza lovers, we were thoroughly impressed with the quality! The service was pleasant, and like any good pizza joint, you can watch the guy make the pizza in the woodfire oven! I'll be back!
(4)Daniel S.
Best kept secret in Tucson. Great pizza, decent taps, friendly staff. Not a bad pie in the place, vegan friendly, and dollar theater adjacent. My favorite place on the east side.
(5)Amanda N.
I was pretty disappointed with my dinner tonight. I ordered the pepperoni pizza and the caesar salad which are my two regular dishes. The lettuce was so water logged that I had to sent it back. The pizza was way more oily than usual; I'm not sure if it was the pepperoni or not. I have been wanting to trying one of the homemade pasta dishes so I finally went ahead and ordered the chicken parmesan. The noodles were way too hard and the tomato sauce tasted super generic. The chicken itself had no seasoning and not enough mozzarella. I like this restaurant for their pizzas but everything else is uninspired and generic.
(3)Rachelle M.
We've driven by this local pizza place several times located next to our favorite Mexican restaurant and finally decided to give it a try, I'm glad we did! Upon entering, this place is smaller than I was expecting and you order your good before sitting which can create quite the traffic jam near the front door. The place is small and a little rough around the edges, but it does gives it a certain charm. The staff is really nice but extremely busy, you can tell they work hard. We ordered the Chicken Alfredo pizza and it was AMAZING! Seriously, the best pizza I've had in a really long time. We'll definitely be back!
(4)Samantha L.
The pesto pizza was amazing! We also tried the east side pie and I am not a fan of sausage so it wasn't my favorite. The ravioli was really good with the marinara sauce. Good beer selection too. The price is fair as well.
(4)Keith B.
A quick roasted garlic and Brie cheese. Very good and simple. It comes with a cranberry chutney and toasted breed. Needs a few more pieces of toast though. This along with a lost coast tangerine wheat was a great snack before a long day of grocery shopping.
(4)A P.
We stopped here based on the great online reviews. But this place doesn't live up to what others are saying about it. The pizza was mediocre at best. It was bland and reminded me of cafeteria food or frozen pizza I've bought before. Freshly made pizza shouldn't taste like that... And actually the frozen pizza I bought from the store tastes better than the pizza we ate here. The customer service was terrible! The "waitress" didn't even smile at us once, and she didn't seem to notice that I existed, or if she did, she pretended like I didn't exist. She acted like she didn't want us there. I saw her joking around with her co-workers so I know she's capable of a smile, but there was none of that towards us, the *paying* customers. The only positive was that the pizza came out really fast. I doubt we will be returning. If you are going to serve mediocre bland tasteless food, at least have great customer service to make up for it! This place had neither.
(2)Marc B.
Been into Dry River a few times and have had good experiences each time. This time around me and my daughter went out for a Friday evening dinner. We were greeted as we entered and ordering at the counter was a breeze. We sat upstairs (cause that's what kids like to do) and the staff came up to check on us and made sure the temperature was OK. It does get a little warm up there when it is 90+ outside and the sun is blazing in the west facing windows. We had the antipasto plate and a traditional pizza, which arrived quickly. The antipasto plate was a wonderful blend of sweet and hot peppers, brie and mozzarella, olives, cured meats and crusty bread. The pizza was good even though I'm undecided on the banana peppers. There is more to try and we will be back soon.
(4)Paul G.
Love this place, brick oven pizza is my favorite. Best tiramisu in town, a must try. Place is clean and service is good, hardly any wait for the pizza to be served. We will be back!!!
(5)Mendy M.
Excellent pizza & Caesar salad. I highly recommend checking this place. It's a Big Bang for your buck!
(4)Jim M.
Good pizza and nice atmosphere. They only make certain pizzas and you can't build your own as you can in many other places. The pizza i had was wonderful with a nice thin crust. Because they are fire cooked, there is a slight smoke flavour added. Nice selection of beers including a couple of locals.
(3)J. G.
Service: Always excellent. They understand to take care of the customer, and are constantly checking on you. Also the staff knows the menu, and take pride in the quality of their ingredients. Food: Absolutely delicious. Home made mozzarella, pastas, and dough. I have had many things on the menu and have never had a bad bite. They also have high quality draft beer. It usually revolves with local beers and craft beers. Ambiance: Live music. Sometimes this is great, but if I go with my kids we are usually trying to keep it a bit more family friendly environment. Great restaurant in Northeast Tucson. Go check it out!
(4)Atrina N.
If you like a thin crisp crust, this is worth a try. Ordered the margherita pizza, very good and I don't think you can go wrong for the price. They have a reasonable happy hour with pizza's only $8 and the mood in the restaurant is appropriate for an after work meet up. Pictures are true to what you get. Give em' a try! Though I've only had one experience here, I'll be back when my next pizza craving sets in.
(4)Tim L.
Seriously why haven't you eaten here??? Pasta AMAZING! !! Support local business!! This place is one of tucson's great little unknowns! !!!
(5)Erinne L.
This is my joint. I come here almost every week. Pizza is fabulous. One pizza is usually good for two people with always one slice left. I've tried just about every one on the menu and all of them are great. The Fettuccine Alfredo and Caprese Salad are awesome. People complain that you have to go up to the counter to order, but is it really that big of a deal?? If this is a problem just sit at the bar. I have never had a bad time or a bad meal. Great atmosphere and music mix. Love the staff--very friendly and efficient. I have never had to wait for a drink. Full bar. Beer and wine on tap as well as various bottled beers. Live music some weekends. Great place to hang out with friends or bring your family. Support this local business!
(5)Heather M.
Going for the star upgrade - the pizza these last couple of times around has been great. This last visit I feasted on the prosciutto pie. I subbed out the tomato sauce for just a little olive oil on the crust. Stellar. Give it a try.
(4)Christian M.
Good pizza, OK service, family friendly--great spot to eat before seeing a movie at the cheap theaters! AMBIENCE: 3 stars. It is a bit odd to advertise yourself as a pizza and coffee place... That said, it is comfy inside and we were able to sit at the bar right away on a busy Friday night. SERVICE: 2.5 stars. It was about 10 minutes before we were acknowledged at the bar (to be fair, they were quite busy and it seems like the bartenders take the orders for the whole restaurant--so there was a queue about 10 people long at the register. Once we had our drink orders taken things went a bit better. FOOD: 3.5 stars. Lots of pizza, pasta, etc, on the menu. Some good salad choices--we had the mozzarella/tomato salad and it was quite fresh and well-prepared. We got the spicy pizza and it was definitely spicy--a bit too reliant on crushed red chili pepper for me--but it was good. The crust is tasty, but the pizza dough itself needed a bit more support in the middle as the meat on this particular pizza did ooze a bit of greasy deliciousness, and that caused the dough to become a bit spongy. ALCOHOL: 3.5 stars. I had the Amazon Cosmo (yes, I am that guy; no, I do not watch "The Carrie Diaries")--it was pretty good! FAMILY: 4 stars. Lots of kids around, and the servers and staff seemed very attentive to the families. OVERALL: 3 stars. Would definitely eat there again.
(3)Linda B.
We went there last weekend with our two boys and our dog for lunch. They we're so friendly to us all! We had their homemade lemonade and it was so delicious! We then ordered two pizzas. A Pepperoni for the kids and the Tomatillo for ourselves. That Tomatillo pizza was MIND BLOWING! The chicken, the sauce, the onions, and the cheese! Altogether make such a great combination! The pepperoni pizza was also very yummy, but my husband and I would go back over and over again just for the Tomatillo Pizza.
(5)Christopher G.
Good food, very reasonably priced. Not so great an atmosphere, although we were there on a Sunday at 1 in the afternoon., but I'm sure it's different when there are more people I'm the place. (We were the only two). Definitely will be back.
(3)Taylor M.
Over the years, Dry River has become my go to place for when I am craving pasta and don't want to travel far. The fettuccine alfredo is some of the best I have ever had. You can tell the pasta is homemade and the sauce is always perfect. I always get it with chicken and the chicken is always cooked well. The pizza is pretty darn good too. I love thin crust pizza so this is right up my alley. I haven't had a pizza from them that I haven't enjoyed. The bar has a large variety too! One of the best parts about this place is the staff. They are always friendly and contribute to the cool, laid-back atmosphere of the place.
(5)Lily B.
Great pizza, friendly service, and good beer selection. The price can be a little steep, but they have specials that make it worthwhile. I really like the east side pie and the tomatillo pizza. The setup is nice too, with a bar and upstairs seating for a more intimate conversation. When I've been here, dry river is rarely busy, perhaps due to off hours, or perhaps due to the location - not really in a big area for restaurants, aside from the now burned Guadalajara.
(4)Susan P.
Had pasta with pesto tonight- our first visit there. Caprese salad was good, but tomatoes were not quite ripe. Great food and great service. Will definitely go back again!
(4)Jacque H.
I had no idea what to expect going in, and I was definitely surprised when I walked in. It's not really the traditional restaurant. It's like a classier, better quality, fast food pizza joint. When you order you have to go up to the bar, I found it annoying, I think I would have found it more annoying if I was sitting at the bar trying to relax. Maybe that's just me?? Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for this time of scene. Oh, and it's seat yourself, but no sign to tell you, so I felt a little like a lost puppy until someone that worked there said something. The menu is small, but that's fine. I imagine everyone can find something they like there. I got the Greek salad, and it was very nice, and pretty large (I'd say you could share it with one other person as a side salad). I got the traditional pizza... Thin crust with pepperoni, sausage, banana peppers, and cheese. I don't like having to say it, but I really didn't like it. The sausage tasted strange, I guess it was just the type of sausage, and I thought the sauce was too spicy. It just wasn't my type of pizza. My husband on the other hand, LOVED it. He is from CT and said it was the most similar type of pizza to what he is used to that he's had in the southwest. Coming from him that's big. This man knows, and likes his pizza. Since my husband loved it I'm giving the place 4 stars, but if it went off my opinion alone it would be 3. To each his own, right? And let me tell you by 6PM on Friday evening, this place really started to get packed and the line to order at the bar was looong! So my husband must not be the only one that loves it.
(4)Jess D.
Tomatillo pizza is delicious. Happy Hour: 4:30-5:30PM Tuesday-Thursday 2:30-5:30PM Friday -$5 wines -$1 off beer and cocktails
(5)Sunshine R.
So, the best part of our meal was the beer and the service. The commentary at the end of the bar that the owners were having,( I'm assuming they were the owners, they kept going behind the bar) along with the shots they were doing was unimpressive. A little professionalism would do them a lot of good. The food was mediocre at best, no flavor to speak of, maybe they should stop doing shots so they can taste the food.
(2)Will T.
Awesome food the pizza's are great, Shrimp scampi is out of this world, and I love their beer they always change it up, the staff are vary nice.

Dry River makes one of the best crusts in town. Thin, with a hot crust that is sweet and chewy both, I've never had a bad pizza here. My 13-year-old partner in pizza wants ONLY Dry River pizza. Her pickiness is legendary, but I call it nascent culinary acumen. Ten inches for $10 is a deal. Bruschetta is fresh and delicious, and we always get garlic bread which comes with a huge dollop of tangy marinara. Dry River keeps odd hours, so it's a good idea to call ahead and make sure they are open. These pizzas are worth some effort.

Love coming here because of the fresh pasta and wood stove pizzas! I really really REALLY love the roasted garlic appetizer that comes with crustinis and Brie and a cranberry pear compote. I have noticed that the roasted garlic portions are getting smaller and smaller everytime I order it. I don't know if it's just not garlic season or they are selling smaller portions. The small back patio is dog friendly and a great place to stop after coming back from mount Lemmon with the pups. They have a good seasonal beer selection with rotating draughts. The service attentive, but you have to go to the counter to order and pay. BONUS: I checked in and got 10% off!

Great pizza, weird atmosphere. Don't know what it is, but I never feel welcome at this place. It's not the staff, it felt the same when it was a coffee place before this. I think it's the layout and feel of the building that is the problem. It always feels like walking in to hostile territory. Very strange feeling that I never have gotten in any other place. The food is good and priced right. The pizza is excellent, great choice of toppings and fantastic crust. Their warm sandwiches are great for lunch. I wish they had a better beer selection. If you don't get that weird feeling that I get from this building, you'll probably enjoy this place.

Enjoy going here so far. Haven't tried the beer or wine due to being on duty. but f
(4)Ron B.
One of my favorite places in Tucson. Consistently the best pizza and service of any Pizza place in town. The bonus is some great beers on tap. You need to try this place.
(5)Jason N.
Food was ok but not great. Garlic bread was the best part of the meal. Pizza was pretty much identical to what you get at Sauce. Tried the perogies and they were good, but not great. I enjoyed the live music. There was a band there playing classic / indie / psychedelic rock, which fit the atmosphere well. They have a nice bar with a decent selection, but my wife ordered a soda and it came in a can, not from the tap which meant no refills and that is a little bit of a turn-off. I will go back again, but only because I live close by. The food isn't bad, but it isn't as good as some of these reviews make it out to be.
(3)Cody K.
Delicious wood-fired pizza! Superb Service! I always get the Brie appetizer, its too darn good to pass up.
(5)Anthony B.
If you like doughy pizza with no flavor, marginal side dishes and mediocre service then you Will HATE Dry River Pizza This place is amazing some of the best pizza i have ever had along with the chicken parmesan that Kicks A$$. The employees really know their business the keep it clean and fresh every time. Hand made fresh pasta yes hand made. PLease do yourself a favor and try this amazing establishment. local and awesome easily 5 stars *****

we had a family night out and my husband mentioned he saw this place while driving by a couple days ago and was wondering what it was. of course we looked it up on yelp and as soon as i saw several of my fellow elites review with sufficient stars i was down to try it out. when we walked in, it wasn't super apparent that we needed to seat ourself. one of the waitresses finally clued us in on what to do. 1. order at the counter 2. sit down 3. they'll deliver your food my husband and i shared a caesar salad. he had the shroom pizza and i had the white. the crust was thin and the taste was pretty good. the shroom pizza could stand to have more mushroom on it. the white pizza was good but whenever i get a white pie it always comes out too oily. i would definitely go back, if someone suggests it!

It's been a year now since Dry River opened, and my wife and I are still big fans of the place. A bit has changed in the operation - they now open at 11 am on the weekdays, and 11:30 am on the weekends, so no more breakfast sandwiches or great scones. Almost no desserts, either. At this point, it's all about the pizza, which is simply fantastic. The ownership and staff remain stable and super friendly. Live music is now being scheduled on some weekends - check their Facebook page for details. I want to so badly give them five stars, but I'm saving that for when some finishing touches are completed (like some art on the walls), and some desserts return to the menu (if for only the great blueberry cheesecake that had been occasionally available). None of these things keep me away - I just think they would make Dry River an outstanding destination.

Dry River is one of my least favorite places to eat in town, and in fact, I won't go there anymore. The pizza is amateur. It tastes just like something made in a kitchen of someone practicing how to cook. The crust has been way, way too salty. The one time we managed to get a non-salty one, it has just been ok tasting, nothing special. The appetizers are just ingredients dumped on a plate. Absolutely nothing special about a block of cheese and a clove of roasted garlic. The last time we were here, they didn't even have soda fountains, which is very weird for a pizza place. I don't want to pay you 2x-3x the cost of a can of soda. I'd rather pay for soda with refills, to go with my pizza. I would eat more and stay longer if I always had a drink available, as well. The desserts are laughable. When we've been there, they've only had cupcakes, that they clearly bought from the local cupcake store and marked up in price. And they say they make fresh food? No, I don't think so. Resold it, maybe. Overall, pizza and coffee is a weird, trying-too-hard-to-be-trendy idea, and they are missing obvious restaurant things in favor of the illusion of trendy. I would NOT recommend Dry River to anyone looking for good pizza.

For our first visit, my fiance and I tried the special. It was a 4 course meal for two. We started out and ended well (cheesy bread app and tiramisu dessert were good), but everything in the middle was gross (house salad and a prosciutto and arugula pizza). And I mean gross. The balsamic dressing was atrocious. The pizza had no flavor but was still a greasy, sloppy mess. How can arugula and/or prosciutto be tasteless? How do you mess these things up? They should be ashamed. But since we got the special, we didn't complain. The service was decent and it's a cute place, but we will not return. So disappointing.

We have driven by this place a million times and never ventured in. Until late Friday evening when the hubs and I were hungry and in the mood for a drink. First off, we pull up and there is plenty of parking, we walk in and see two different groups of friends who we learn LOVE this place! and come every Friday night to listen to the live band. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, the garlic and brie appetizer and the bruschetta. The pizza is ulta thin, but the sauce is awesome! Grimaldi's is one of my favorite pizza places and this is a close second. The sauce is not to sweet, not a hint of bitterness, but packed full of flavor. The mozzarella is perfection both melted and fresh. The bruschetta is hands down the best I have ever had and to my husband's dismay the brie and garlic appetizer is a fav or mine. WARNING: no kissing after consuming. This place is definitely on my list of places to visit, especially on a Friday night. And for you coffee lovers, they serve awesome coffee and espresso. :)
(4)Corinna P.
YUMMY YUMMY!! I love a good wood-fired thin crust pizza and this place has it! We ordered the Italian, which was just the right amount of spicy and the Prosciutto and Arugula pizza, which was fresh and tasty. The Brie and Roasted Garlic appetizer is delish! They have a great little cocktail menu and some good beers. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I really like this place and will definitely go back for more!
(5)Sarah W.
We love the food! The friendly service and the laid back atmosphere is awesome!

This review is based on the pizza & service only. Two things that I fail to understand - Why so many positive reviews & how this place manages to stay open? I've been there 4 times now and I have never walked away happy or full. The pizzas are on the smaller side, though not expensive, but then you don't get much. Very, very thin crust, very skimpy on the sauce, cheese, toppings and quite bland flavor. Also the staff has always been rathef unfriendly, as if they didn't want to be there. Well maybe they're just human, so OK let's try it for a fourth time and give them another shot, right? This time my pizza didn't arrive as ordered, I told my server and he just said "Oh well". I really want to like this place, especially because it's a local business. And I failed to mention that they have Pabst Blue Ribbon on tap! So what can be better than the simple pleasure of a hot, crispy thin pizza and an ice cold draft Pabst, right? But they just can't seem to get it together as far as I'm concerned, so after 4 strikes they're out.
(1)Bob C.
I took my son here for pizza. We loved it. Very tasty pizza and friendly staff. A tad pricier than some of their competitors, but worth it. We'll definitely come back. Oh, and the atmosphere is nice too.
(5)Brian H.
My son and I shared a pizza. 1/2 sausage, 1/2 veggie. The crust was excellently thin and crispy, but flavorless. My veggie slices were bland and boring and had to be loaded with parm and peps to give it some flavor. I almost went for a salt shaker, but toughed it out. I tried a few bites of his sausage pizza to see if some usually salty sausage made a difference in the overall taste. Nope. Great atmosphere, boring pizza. Are you sure this is wood-fired? Maybe I'll come back again and try the other stuff on the menu, but the pizza was a let down.
(2)Gabe M.
Great pizza, pasta and salads, in fact everything on the menu is good. They make it like I would at home with quality ingredients. You can taste the love in the food and you can't beat the prices. Fast service and you won't be disappointed.
(5)Jane R.
This place was a pleasant surprise. Friendly staff, good food and AWESOME drinks. Female bartenders rule. They're missing a star because they were having a bad air (conditioning) day and some of the tables were quite crummy, even though we were there at a slow time. These can easily be overcome! Get the tiramisu.

I was just about to sit down and write an awesome review of this restaurant when I see on my FB page they won the Tucson Foodie Award. Everything I have had and every friend I have brought there has had fabulous food. Service is excellent...wonderful attitude...just remember they close for a brief period of time in the afternoon (European Tradition). You can even get gluten free dough for your pizza, can work around most food allergies. Pressure them to bring back the brownie cheesecake combo-superb. The cheesecake alone hails back to what a real cheesecake should taste like. Comfortable selection of beer, seasonal change overs on some. It even gets better..they are right in front of the cheap theater, so catch a flick afterword's.

Gourmet pizza has finally found its way to east Tucson. Dry River is a sleek and laid back little pizza joint. A brick oven stares you in the eye from the center of the restaurant as soon as you walk in the front door. A couple of televisions are in the bar, basketball is the sport of choice. And a can of Four Loko peeks out from the top liquor shelf? The tap list is short but tasteful. Don't miss out on the Isolation Ale from O'Dell while they still have it. It's my favorite winter seasonal brew. To begin, I chomped down some of the potato, bacon and cheddar pierogi. The little buttery, tender dumplings were served with caramelized onions, topped with sea salt and fresh-a pepper. This Polish dish is out of place on the menu, but I won't object to having these addictive comfort food niblets available. I ordered the tomatillo pizza with chicken, caramelized onions, cheddar and jack cheese. The pizzas here are made Neapolitan style, so they have a thin crisp crust. The tangy tomatillo sauce balanced out the rich cheeses, while the sweetness of the onions rounded it out. The restaurant uses counter service, but the staff is both professional and hospitable. Young ladies keep an eye on your plates. Guys in the bar that would fit Archer's visual description of an anthropology student are always there to answer your questions. Willcox tomatoes on the menu and occasional music events show some conscious local involvement.

On the East side of Tucson, this is my favorite pizza, plus home made pasta is fabulous! Service is great, every time that we eat there is a nice experience, the creative pizzas of Dry River is nice, with a thin crust. Its not a fancy place, but its delicious, its a place where you can go any day, without any special attire, and you will go back for more delicious pizza!
(5)Justin G.
Yummmmmmmyyyyyy

Excellent pizza! I got the margarita pizza, and it was everything I could hope for and more. (Margarita pizza is my go-to, I love the subtle brilliance of the simplicity of the ingredients -- so I can't speak to the other more complicated/meat-covered pizzas!) Great crust, great sauce, great cheese (both in quality and distribution around pizza). I only wish the location were better -- it is quite a drive to the east side. (Ever thought of a midtown location??) However, it is well worth the trip, and I am very happy to have found this place!
(5)Cristy B.
We ordered a pizza and asked for a thick crust and we got a pizza with the thinnest crust that when we picked it up our thumb went right through the slice...and the pizza was not good
(1)Mike F.
Absolutely the best place to eat! The food is amazing!
(5)Roger H.
My second visit was just as great as my first. Dry River Company has friendly and efficient service and really good pizza. I like thin crust (got to keep those carbs down) and Dry River delivers. Had the Tomatillo pizza which was well baked and delicious. Also had the Greek salad which had all fresh ingredients and really tasted good. Dry River Company is a great place to eat before or after a movie at the Century 12 Theater, just across the parking lot. dryriverco.com

I've eaten here five or six times now, and only now got off my duff to espouse the virtues of Dry River. I'm a big fan of their Napoli-style wood-fired pizzas, the primary reason why I continue to come back once a month or so. The Italian with soppressata and red chile flakes has a nice kick that has kept me from exploring the rest of the menu. I also dig the the beer selection - nowhere near the biggest in town, but they have some good barley sodas on hand (Ska Brewing Modus Hoperandi on tap!) that hit the spot. If you live, work, or just happen to find yourself on the east side and craving a bit of Pizza of the non-chain variety, check it out.

The on thing that impressed me about Dry River before I even stepped foot inside was their amazing presence on Social Media. Just that made me a big fan...and I've been dying to try them out. My better half surprised me with date night and, when he asked where I wanted to go, Dry River got the thumbs up. Plus it was close to the mini-golf place :) We ordered the Margherita pizza and the garlic bread, then headed outside to enjoy the evening - perfect night for the patio! Dinner came and it was pretty good! The pizza definitely had that wonderful wood fired pizza oven taste/feel to it and there's just NO beating home made mozzarella!! A couple of downs for me - first, no make your own/design your own pizza. With the great ingredients they have, I would love to be able to play a little bit with designing my own pie. I was a little surprised that our Cokes were in cans - I figured that, with a full bar, they'd had the soda gun set up but no biggie. I know that they have Italian sodas but didn't see a list or menu with them. I would have loved to try them! I know I'll head back but maybe I'll wait til the weekend. I have a feeling that's when the 'joint is jumpin'. I'm also reading that there's a bakery there as well. I had no clue so that means I'll have to check that out as well. I've never met a scone I didn't like. All in all - nice evening. Dry River Company has a TON of potential. Here's hoping that they tap into it!!
(4)Sean B.
Tasty food. Counter service and the general ambiance is a little like a cafeteria.
(3)OMARA G.
Stopped in for lunch and had the Margherita Pizza...the crust was fired to perfection...the total slice experience was pretty good... the sauce could have had more flavor I felt it was a bit flat but I really liked how fresh the ingredients were. I also was impressed with the variety of italian sodas. The guys were friendly and helpful and brought my pizza-to-go directly to me table side when it was ready and even opened the door. 4**** for treating me like a lady :) I'll be back! Would like to try other pizza varieties
(3)Laura F.
Probably the best pizza I've had in Tucson. They really take great care with their food and you can tell they use quality ingredients. I haven't had their coffee or baked goods, but I will definitely be back.
(4)Ming-Min L.
this place was really hit or miss when they first opened up but i wanted to write a review to reflect a recent visit here. i don't know if management changed or something, but the pizzas are larger and tastier than i remembered, and the hand-made pasta was scrumptious! these guys are on kolb south of walmart, in front of the cheap theater, and beside the east side guadalajara grill. i think they suffer a bit from location woes because, though they have a decent beer selection and the food was thoroughly enjoyable, it's never bustling when we go. the atmosphere here is relaxed and you can watch them prepare your pizza and cook it in the hardwood fueled oven. if they were located say, near campus, i'm betting you would see quite a few more folks noshing it up. i like these guys and encourage anyone to give them a shot.
(4)Stephanie S.
I love wood-fired pizza, so I was happy to hear about this locally owned pizza joint. I really enjoyed their bruschetta and their Traditional pizza pie (pepperoni, sausage, banana peppers, mozzarella, and tomato paste). The place also carries a good selection of beers, featuring some of the local brews (Hello Borderlands!). The ambience of the place is different from other wood-fired joints. I like seeing an exposed brick oven, but this one was encased in metal. Next time I'm on the east-side and wanting a slice, I'll be sure to drop in.
(4)Joseph L.
If anyone ever bother read my reviews...you know I am kind of a pizza snob... (Will~~ maybe not, at least I know what I like) Tried their traditional pizza and asked them add extra garlic...bingo!! I had the best pizza since I moved here in Tucson.
(4)Brettenie S.
when i walked into this place for the first time, i instantly smelled the wonderful sent the wood burning oven gave off, not overwhelming just enough to calm you. i sat at the bar for this was a single dining adventure. the interior is simple but nice, all of the staff i had interaction with were very pleasant and relaxed. this is definitely a place to go and just unwind over great food and a wonderful beer selection. i first ordered a beer while i looked over the menu. the bartender was very kind and attentive, i was quite surprised when i asked if the sausage had fennel in it and she immediately went to ask. when i received my pizza it looked and smelled great. the crust was perfectly cooked and not soggy at all. it had a wonderful slightly smokey flavor you would expect from a wood fire oven. the tomato sauce was simple yet tasty with a fresh flavor. all of the toppings were wonderful and blended perfectly with the pizza. i cant believe that i lived within a mile of this place for over a year and didnt go in sooner!! for sure a must try on the east side!!! i will be coming back to this delight regularly.
(5)Ursula K.
We've been here twice now. Both times the food and service were terrific. The pizzas are flavorful and crispy, there's a nice selection of draft beers. We had the white pizza with sausage and the margarita pizza both times (so yummy we wanted them again the second time - oh and we finished them both times).
(5)Julie N.
I have had two recent visits, one for lunch, one for drinks and live music. The food was well made, presented well and tasted great! The service was fast, but honestly, there simply were not many there when we were. I'll admit, we went for an early lunch, so maybe more people go later. I had the Caprese Sandwich with a nice slab of Mozzarella, Willcox tomato, arugula, roasted red pepper, and pesto sauce. Menu price is $6 and you can (I did!) add prosciutto for just $2. It came on a nice bread and I had a choice of sides, I went for the cannelini bean salad which was really good! I really enjoyed my lunch! My co-workers enjoyed their choices too! One had the meatball sandwich which looked amazing! Two had the Southwest Turkey sandwich and they both were a bit overwhelmed by the chilis, though they aren't big chili eaters anyway. One said the bread was excellent. I don't remember what the other had, but I know he liked it too! Two who chose hummus as their side commented that it was excellent; it was served with celery sticks. One had the pasta salad and she enjoyed it. We were in and out in a leisurely hour having enjoyed ourselves very much. A few nights later was the one year anniversary of the place and they had live music with Crosscut Saw, a local blues/rock band who I like very much. My hubby and I went after dinner and the place was packed to the rafters! We had a couple of beers (Fat Tire) each and an order of bruschetta to nibble on. The bruschetta were yummy topped with the same basic things as my Caprese sandwich at lunch. For a while it seemed like the kitchen/bar staff were a bit overwhelmed with the size of the crowd. Our order was a bit messed up; they forgot to bring the beers with the bruschetta and I had to go back downstairs to request them, but I don't really fault them for it... there were a lot of people, the music was wonderfully loud and rockin' and I could understand a detail being missed. I'll definitely go back again and try a pizza next time.
(4)Gillian N.
I'm reviewing the take-out pizza because we've never actually ate there and we've never eaten anything else, but the pizza is AMAZING. thin, perfect crust, great sauces (the white or the red are equally amazing) and fresh flavorful topping combos. I drove by this place all the time until we decided to try it one day. I was turned off initially by the fact that it offered "pizza and coffee" and figured if you are doing both of those things you probably don't do either one really well, but boy was i wrong. When picking up the pizza the restaurant itself looks clean and like a nice place to dine-in as well. The girl at the counter was so helpful to bring the pizza out to my car for me when she saw i had my toddler with me. Also, i do consider myself somewhat of a tucson pizza expert, i've tried lots of places and this is my current favorite for a thin crust. If you want a classic NY style crust and toppings we really like Upper Crust Pizza

I'm giving 2 stars to the bakery, 4 stars for the pizza. I stopped by this morning hoping for a muffin or scone. The cashier said he had scones but they had just come out of the oven. I opted for a pecan scone. He came back with a bag, then charged me for the scone. I got to work only to find a burnt scone in the bag. Burnt on the bottom & on the edges and a little on top. Who in their right mind would sell a burnt scone? I could barely taste what the scone was meant to taste like - so someone needs a little practice in the scone department. I would have much rather the cashier said "I'm sorry, we've burnt our scones today, here's a rain check, continue your journey to Beyond Bread where the pastries are always delicious - and please come back when we've gotten it right." I stopped for pizza a few weeks back. The pizza was very good, and we didn't have to wait too long for it at lunch time. -C

My husband and I go to Dry River often. We love thin crust and wood-fired pizza, and we live nearby. It has become a go-to place for us. Location is not great as it's not facing the street (Kolb) and is set back a little next to Guadalajara Grill's eastside restaurant which is very visible. Too bad some of their customers don't try Dry River. I think they would be pleasantly surprised. Dry River's pizza is great.
(4)Katie R.
I went here with some work people on friday during our lunch hour since it opened up right next door to our office. The pizza was delicious and the pastries are made on site. their wood burning oven is pretty amazing, gave the pizza a great crispy crust. We spoke to the owner who indicated they were still working out some kinks with their bread (someone in my group had said it was a little too hard for her) but its impressive that they are making bread in a pizza oven. thats hard work! The owner seems very interested in everyone's experience and asks around for feed back. its really impressive! I was told by someone in our group that they use all local ingredients but i didnt ask the owner so im not sure about that. it would be really cool if they did! Only marking off one star because, unlike the former occupant of that space, they dont give a discount to the nearby employees. We used to get 10% off if we showed our badge. Just a recommendation to the owners: there are lots of us in that big office across the street and we almost always forget our lunches!
(4)Tom O.
Great, great, great pizza & happy hour specials!
(5)Liz G.
We just had lunch here, and were not dissapointed. The pizza was very good, specifically the Traditional. They have a large selection of beer, and seem to specialize in microbrews. I wouldn't have minded more tv's, and would have prefered that the volume on them be turned up, rather than have music playing, but we went at lunch time, and this may change later in the evening. We will be going back.
(4)Z M.
Really good thin crust pizza. Always tastes so fresh and their happy hour is pretty damn good! U can't beat $5 pizzas.
(4)sybil c.
Really good food at really reasonable prices, nice beer and wine selection (and again with the reasonable prices!), plus friendly, helpful service. I'm so glad we were starving after a movie and decided to go no farther than across a (really big) parking lot!
(5)Kimberly W.
I was in Tucson on business so I stopped by for lunch. Since Dry River had a brick oven I ordered a pizza and shared it with a friend. I also ordered the Caprese salad after reading it had homemade mozzarella and locally grown tomatoes. The Caprese salad was excellent. Fresh, homemade mozzarella with the sweetest tomatoes and just the right amount of basil. A drizzling of balsamic reduction completed the dish. The Shrooms pizza was topped with crimini mushrooms on a perfectly thin crust pizza. Just the right amount of cheese and tomato sauce. I usually skip the edge of a pizza, but not this time. The crusty edge was addictive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to the locals and plan to stop by again the next time I'm in town.
(4)Damian H.
I personally think their pizza is great. Tucson needs more independent places like this - especially on the east side. They've also got some good bands playing there on Fri and Sat night - a nice place to have dinner, a drink and see some local live music!
(5)Becki G.
Dry River Company is in the neighborhood. Three of their wonderful pizzas are only $5 each during happy hour. They've got two small patios and a relaxing vibe. They're located in the same parking lot as Century Gateway 12, so it's a great place to grab dinner and a beer before a movie.
(4)Kate D.
Best. Caprese. Sandwich. EVER. (I think it's only available at lunch, so PLEASE change this!!) Good pizza too! I've been 5 or 6 times for lunch and once for dinner. This place is never busy when I go, which makes me sad, because it's really very good. Fresh ingredients and friendly service, and a great value for lunch!
(4)Cincity C.
I went in thinking that this place was going to be great, well, I was wrong. I ordered a Caprese salad, ravioli, and a glass of Moscato. The best part of the meal was the salad. I can say for certain that the Caprese salad is pretty good. If I ever went back it would be because of it,that is why I gave it two stars. The ravioli was horrible, it seem like they where just figuring out how to make ravioli, like they just took a guess on how to make it. They put three pieces on the plate and threw some sauce on there and it was done. I was highly disappointed by this. Customer service was pretty good. I would not say they set the bar, but they where nice.
(2)Frank G.
Ill give four stars for the pizza and the TWO STARS for price...OUCH!!! I make a lot of money, but those prices are a little ridiculous. Also, they need to get rid of that silly yuppie wine collection and get a freaking soda fountain. Theres a pizza joint in west chester, pa where I used to live that has a 18 inch pizza with one topping for 14.00 after taxes. They could make the pizza a little bigger here.
(2)Eric G.
This place wasn't bad at all for a pizza place. Yeah, it isn't all decked out with fancy decorations like say, Oregano's, but whatever. Being a New Yorker, I'm used to a place that gives you your pizza, your beer, and a couple tv's to see the game. And that's what this place does. Wood-fired oven makes for a good crust. I tried the white pizza and the "shrooms". I liked both but think the mushroom one was better. Pizzas are $10 for a 10" pie. I could eat one by myself, so expect to order more than one if your not flying solo. Decent beer selection. They cover the gambit from Pabst to Stouts (Santan IPA on tap kept me hoppy). But my pints were $5 a piece. This makes me believe there isn't Happy Hour everyday as advertised. There are tables, but all ordering is done at the bar. The tender I dealt with was a little slow and seemed distracted. Seating extends to the outdoors, with an area at one end where you can smoke with your food and drink. Another enclosed outside seating area is on the other side. Not sure but I expect that one is non-smoking. The bakery aspect admittedly confused me a little. Same with the advertised "cafe". Not sure if the owner just likes pizzas and beer followed by cakes and coffee. Regardless, I didn't try any of the desert offerings. One last plus is that they pull their own mozzarella and use as many local-grown ingredients as possible (eg tomatoes from Willcox). Bottom line--good food, decent setting, but kind of steep prices.
(3)Scott W.
Fantastic food and friendly people! All the pizza's a great but you have to try the prosciutto and arugula or the shroom! Ravioli's are also fantastic. Casual eatery that is kid friendly and has the game on. Perfect place to meet some friends after work or bring the kids for a pepperoni pizza. Highly recommend
(5)Melissa G.
This is the best pizza in town. I love their Italian pizza with sopprasetta and red pepper flakes and fresh mozzarella. Nice atmosphere. You could bring a laptop and study here or just hang out alone or with friends or family. Kid friendly but more fun without them!
(5)Leo B.
Went for a third time for their breakfast. Still addicted to their cold brewed coffee... in fact I am now making them at home. Good egg sandwiches.
(4)Raynie H.
Love this place! The caprese salad is so yummy. The balsamic glaze is simply the best. Banana peppers on the traditional pizza really pop! The eastside pie is also very good. Friendly service and relaxed atmoshpere! Give this place a try.

I'm very picky about pizza. I like thin crust Italian style (margarita), without much grease or cheese. They do a really nice job here with that style. The ambiance here isn't anything special; but the food and beer are very good. A nice place for date night.

LOVED IT! We went with friends and took our 2-year-olds. We ate outside in the shade, drank great wine, ate AMAZING pizza and truly enjoyed ourselves. I ordered the BBQ pizza, my wife had the White Pizza, and one of our friends had the Mushroom Pizza. All were excellent and very affordable. Can't wait to eat there again - we will frequent this place many more times! Highly recommended.
