Ehhh..*shakes hand* It's OK. The sanitation at this place looks a little questionable, but I did see an employee sweep around. The pizza was good, but the portion seemed tiny for a "large" All the machines were working and my kid still had a fun time though. So I guess it was OK :)

OThis place has completely gone down the tubes! First impression.... walked into a DISGUSTING stench of old dirty musky carpets! OMG! This carpet hasn't been cleaned in years! Stains cover the once colorful floors. Dirt and grime on every wall, entry way and door! We ordered 2 large pizzas, buffalo chicken breadsticks and 5 sodas... $78 WITH COUPONS! Holy crud! We could've got a feast at Peter Piper Pizza! Oh and the pizza.....it's awful! Frozen pizza blows this place out of the water! I'm waiting for my dad to regurgitate his salad from the salad bar. It's definitely been sitting out all day, all the toppings are mixed together and everything is shriveled up and dried out. This location is building a new location directly across the street. I really hope that it will come with a new manager and new cleaning crew! What a terrible experience for my daughter on her birthday! The only good thing about this place is the staff! They take pride in their work. VERY friendly and upbeat!

Do NOT go here! There is a giant RAT that comes out ever so often and the employees and customers seem to just think it's okay! The rat goes in and out of the kitchen and people just laugh and laugh and even go up to it and take pictures. Why you would let your child touch a rat is beyond me. Just kidding. Great experience.

I grew up with Chuck E. Cheese, so when I walked into the Tucson location and saw the stage, presenting the 6 ft. (7 ft.?) tall animatronic mouse and his bandmates, I was immediately transported back to being a five year old girl, leaning at their feet, gazing up in rapt adoration, watching the same group of animals (and one random Super Mario Bros. looking dude) rock out. Besides the usual arcade staples, the other very cool thing was the twisty, windy, maze of a crawl tube suspended from the ceiling that spanned a third of the space. Any place that makes me wish I were a child again, or at least remember how fun it was to be one, deserves a giant gold star and a cookie. I also really liked the layout of this CEC, which distinctly separates the little kid games from the bigger kid ones. And even though we went on a quiet Thursday afternoon, and it was nothing near the madhouse it must be on weekends, I would seriously consider hosting one of my kiddo's birthday parties here. Downside? The food is overpriced and only bordering on decent - but that's as standard as a skee ball machine for a business like this. The staff was extra sweet and, echoing the sentiment of other Yelpers, it was the cleanest Chuck E. Cheese's I've ever stepped a mommy-germ-conscious foot in. Remarkably booger-free! And yes, Chuck E., you may use "Remarkably booger-free!" as your new slogan - with my blessing.

Whether you are taking your kids out for just a fun dinner or having their b-day party there, do it during the week. If you want to torture yourself by going Friday - Sunday, so be it. The pizza is on par with Peter Piper, maybe slightly better. There's a lot of games, some understandably a bit worn out, but the kids love it. Down - they don't serve beer. Up - You can just hang out and let your kids go do whatever because they are very observant about not letting kids leave without their parent/s. Everyone in the family gets stamped with a number. Last, the bathroom is like a urine scented sauna. Awful.

At first we were very unhappy and were never going to return. But the amazing GM, Game Tech, and Staff did all they possibly could, with great enthusiasm to correct our visit and make it a wonderful visit!! We will definitely be going back!!!!

This location has moved across the street. A brand new building staffed by cheerful and accommodating youthful workers. We did an impromptu birthday dinner here for one of our kids and everyone had a good time. I always get the salad bar at CEC and, no matter the location, I never quite feel confident it is clean. I have never gotten sick or whatever, but they always need more tending. Wipe down and restocking. I know its a pizza place, but if you're going to do a salad bar and charge me $5.99 for one trip through, at least do it right. I will still get it anyway next time. The workers here were so patient and good to us. One person cleaned our plates away and engaged us (a rarity at pizza/arcades). The ticket counter, though lure pandemonium, was actually enjoyable thanks to the accommodating nature of the attendant. She even spotted us a few tickets to help our daughter get the toy she was a few shy on. The new parent oriented menu was a bold move. There was a family assortment plate that came with wings, cheesy bread and fries. There were some wraps/sandwich options but we didn't get them. Overall, CEC has stiff competition in town from Peter Pipers. But I felt it was still a good option for our little gala event. For a big party or small family dinner, CEC fits most.

Had to be here for a family B-day party. Upside? I was able to test how long it takes for Aleve to actually kick in. The thinnest, drive-in (for those Yelpers old enough to remember what a drive-in was) cheap pizza is fed in a feeble attempt to neutralize the sugar-psychotic kids running rampant. I think I unconsciously ate 27 pieces and still could barely tell I consumed anything. I expressed my sincere gratitude to their Rat demigod Chuck for the executive decision to scrap the ball pit from the available entertainment. Thanks to this decision the place smelled slightly less like sour feet. From the value of the tokens, tickets and prizes to the birthday extras, this place is a huge rip off. But so are kids and this will be the least of your child related suffering. Good luck.

We had taken our family here last night. I had been on a business trip and promised my toddler we would go. We arrived at 7:45pm Ordered a large wings platter to snack on. Wings arrived at our table at 8:20pm and were ordered at 7:52pm Purchased 80 tokens for $20. The place was in good working order. My 2 year olds birthday is this week , so although I was hoping for Chuck E Cheese, I knew there might be a chance that we didn't get to see him. At 8:25pm they announced that Chuck E would be out in 5 minutes. I was thrilled. Kids gathered around the place where he dances waiting for him. He never came. The place had quite a few kids who would have really enjoyed the Chuck E dance. Not sure why they wouldn't bring him out as scheduled.

i give 3 star's nothing special it newer in side across the street from the old location all the games are 1 token so you get a bang for your buck there the pizza is less than desirable but the kids will eat it was there for a bday and they moved the party before the time was up for the party time slot would only go back if i was not paying

Going into the old Chuck E. Cheese on Speedway evoked indelible childhood memories: eating my very first piece of pepperoni pizza, sugar-fueled birthday parties with friends, and lots of Ms. Pacman. Those same awkwardly creepy, soda-drenched, matted fur animatronic characters still performed for the birthday partiers. Other than transitioning from '60s songs to '90s music, not much had changed in the last thirty years. I guess it was time for an update, right across the street. The good stuff: The "sticky" factor is gone, since the tables, carpet and paint on the walls are brand new. The well-lit dining area is rectangular with no tube running along the top, which makes it a lot easier to keep track of the kids. Some new attractions have been added, including an elevated, life-size rocking-horse. Flat screen TVs have replaced Chuck E and the gang. The "meh" stuff: The only tables that seat more than four people are in the reserved area. Unlike before, our group of 6 had to sit at separate tables. The games are right next to the tables, so we had to shout to be heard over the clamor. Chaos reigned on this Saturday afternoon, leaving my nerves jangling. By the time we left, I had a raging headache...vowing never to return. (I will.) I forgot to see if the new location has beer or not. What the hell was I thinking? That might have turned this into a four star review. Without the nostalgia factor, Chuck E Cheese becomes pretty average for an adult. The kids loved it (hence the two extra stars), but I'd much rather go to Peter Piper Pizza.

Unfortunately they keep cutting out quality to make more money. Tokens more expensive, food more expensive, seating is scattered and doesn't accommodate large groups unless you have a birthday party, machines give little to no tickets, service not that great.

Not as glorious as I remember! And those tickets you win don't go as far as they used to...75 tickets for a Fun Dip candy?! Granted, the last time I went to a Chuck E Cheese was probably about 20-25 years ago! ^__^ The singing mice robots probably haven't been update since my last visit. Everything seems a bit dated. They do have some modern games such as Deal or No Deal. There are also the staples from when u was a kid such as Ski Ball, air hockey, and shooting water in the clowns mouth (although that one was broken when we went). Didn't eat the pizza or cake on this visit, but it looked and smelled just as it did in my youth, tho somehow less speaking now! Hahaha I like how now they have matching hand stamps for the kids and gaurdians, and they check it when you leave to weed out the creepers and make sure you are taking a child that really belongs to you! :) All in all, the kids still have fun, and that's all that really matters, right? :)

Ok, I have to start out by saying I NEVER thought I'd be writing a 5 star review for Chuck E. Cheese. However, I had my son's 5th birthday party there this weekend and we couldn't have been happier. We have been avid Peter Piper-goers for years and have had several bday parties there. My son saw a commercial for Chuck E. Cheese a couple months ago and became obsessed with the idea of having his party there. After trying everything I could think of to talk him out of it, I gave in. I scheduled the party online, which was a cinch. We also got an extra 20 tokens for scheduling online and an extra 100 for having the party on a Sunday. Our host was Xavier and he was GREAT! Always available, checking in on us and totally on top of everything. They make a big show for the kids celebrating their birthdays: an awesome blow-up crown, air guitar with Chuck E., ticket blaster machine. My boy definitely felt the love. Now, it's not cheap and the food is what you'd expect. We paid about $250 for a party of 15 kids and 10 adults. And we brought our own cake and party favors. But, in my experience, that's equivalent to how much you'll pay for most other kids' party places. Plus, their games take a lot less tokens than PPP and they have the huge tube that runs across the play room and that's FREE! And the kids just love that thing! I found that the kids played so much longer without coming back to ask for more tokens than they do at PPP. Finally, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the awesome security. It's so comforting knowing there's no way a kiddo is getting out the door wihout his or her parent. They really do a great job at our Chuck E. Cheese and we will definitely be back!!

First of all, we've never eaten the food, just attempted to play the games. The last 2 experiences were a joke. Half the machines were broken with no signs to even let you know they were out of service. The "ticket munchers", or whatever they're called, consisted of 1 working with the others broken. Again, no signs. I found myself running around, saving kids from wasting tokens in broken machines. Yes, everything was broken, in that the machines ate your tokens. I notified a person who worked there who literally shrugged and said, "This whole place is fallin' apart." As for parental supervision in this place, it's nonexistent. Call me a helicopter mom if you want, but I watch my kids. This used to be a cool place for parents and kids to play games, but not anymore. I highly advise looking elsewhere for pizza and games.

What can I say... my 3 & 1 year old daughters love this place. My 3 year old says, mommy can you take me to cha cha cheese!! And they love their pizza!! The place is always clean and they are very friendly. And the machines only take one token which is great!! It has an area for private parties and it looks big! I also like that there is not a lot of people there, so I can be comfortable if my daughters run off. Great place.

We do not typically go to Chuck E Cheese's, but for the second year in a row, my son (now age 5) requested it for his birthday party. We had a poor experience during his last birthday party, but we decided to give it another try. Well, it was another poor experience. We had our reservations, which were confirmed when we arrived. The "party coordinator" really wasn't sure which table was ours, and our son's name was not written anywhere. I noticed that they did not designate any party's tables that day. As other people have said, the animatronic Chuck E. Cheese characters look like they are on their last leg. Our party coordinator was completely unorganized and had trouble answering questions. They had the number of guests wrong, even though I confirmed the day before and again at arrival. We tried to keep to the party schedule, and ordered pizzas for the children and adults. They brought pizza for adults and told us that they completely forgot the order for the kids. The kids had no pizza, but had to sit down for the birthday show. The party coordinator told us that we needed to eat cake and sing happy birthday. We told him, "The kids STILL have no pizza!" We had to keep to time constraints, in spite of the mistake, so it was like, "Here kids, quick! Chug down that pizza! Light the candles! Shove down your cake! Get out!" When it came time for the ticket blaster, our party coordinator could not find the key. At the end of it all, management asked us how our experience was, and when we told them, they offered us tokens. I thought that was ridiculous, considering I had already paid for hundreds of tokens, and, um, tokens are not an actual form of currency. Our daughter, on the other hand, has had 3 wonderful, well-planned parties at Peter Piper on Broadway. They do a great job. Time to yelp about them...

My husband and I braved Chucks for our niece and nephew hang out date we have just about every weekend. We were going to go to PPP, however, the kiddos saw Chucks so we turned in. Pros: I am so thankful for the security measures that Chucks does. For one, they black light stamp us with matching numbers (ours was 459). My husband was stamped, my niece as stamped, nephew and myself - which meant, the kids could not be taken by anyone unless their numbers match. This made me feel safer, cause you know - nieces and nephews are loaner kids, the last thing i want is to lose them. Another good thing is all the games are one token. This allows the tokens to go a lot further and allows younger kids to interact with the games because, requiring them to count out tokens is like, expecting them to perform algebra! My last pro is the food combos. I appreciate that tokens are available for purchase with the food. There is not a need to have cash to change into tokens, they have really put thought into it. Cons: Dirty....whoo lord was it a mess. There was pizza everywhere, the salad bar looked like a germ factory (it was at the children's level and....they were running up and playing with it), there was sticky stuff everywhere. It was literally like a dirty daycare at the end of the day - we went around 7pm. Loud. Unlike PPP, Chucks has an open concept, its one big loud room, and they have tables set up in the game room, there is no buffering or separation. So it was a bit overwhelming in the noise department for me. All in all i did have a lot of fun with my loaner-kids at Chucks, the food was good, and they enjoyed it (which is really all that matters).

First this review is mostly about the experience for kids. If you have kids between 2-3 this is an iffy bet. The games are definitely aimed at older children, the few games that are aimed at this age span are old and lame and the prizes that are able to be collected for redeemed points at a level that a 2-3 year old would accumulate are not really suitable for this age span. The other issue is the overhead tunnel, if your child is an adventurer you most certainly do not want them up there. Extracting them once they got up there, got lost or disoriented or just didn't want to come down would be stressful for you and the child and time consuming. If your child is under 2 just avoid this place like it is the plague, because it most certainly will be a vector for your child to get some variety of a kiddy kennel cough. If your kid is over the age of 3 then they may enjoy what is to be offered but the majority of the games are not video games like the chuck e cheeses of lore but more like casino games where you put tokens in to try and get a bunch of tokens to fall out, or you set up a race of lights, etc. I watched many a kid, put in their token watch it fall shrug their shoulders then move on to the next "game" to try it again. Of the actual games: the skeeball was rickety and impossible. The ramps were loose causing the ball to fly wildly and very few of them actually worked and as I mentioned before the younger games, like whack a mole were old and lame. The robot musicians have definitely seen better days and it is more like a zombie band with erratic arm movements, dead eyes and unsynced singling. Finally the food: they have a sign that says "New Pizza Recipe" or something which makes me wonder what the old pizza was like because this new recipe is akin to a piece of cardboard with some toppings on it. The tomato sauce is bland, the cheese is rubbery and the price is high. It took almost 40 minutes for our pizza to arrive on a night when it wasn't very busy. Best bet: wait until your kids are old enough to go with an unsuspecting adult, drop them off, sneak out to Beyond Bread, enjoy a delicious meal, then return later to pick them up, sterilize their hands and faces, and clothes etc. then go home happy and content. Oh and drop the poor adult that went with them at the local insane asylum.

Cleanest kids play place in town, and best maintained (have not looked at the bathrooms). The tech guy there, Adam, seems to do a lot of work to keep it up. For all it offers for the price and quality, other placesin Tucson can't beat it.

As far as Chuck E Cheese's go this one is the best one I have ever been to. First off the pizza is awesome!!! The staff were all very friendly, a little short staffed but if you needed anything or lost tokens in machines all you had to do was ask and the staff quickly helped out. For a kids place it was pretty clean and there were a decent amount of machines for the kids to play on. When did Chuck E Cheese's games only take 1 token?? This was a huge thing because I was expecting to have to feed tokens in to machines all day long. The ticket machines hand out a fair amount of tickets on certain ones and both of my kids made out like bandits when it came time to get toys from the little toy shop. And if that wasn't enough if you showed your military ID when you got food you got 20 tokens for free which when you combine that with a coupon deal you get a ton of tokens for not a lot of money.
