Brueggers is my favorite bagel joint in all of Tucson! You can't beat those freshly baked bagels! They have this perfect crunch on the outside that I haven't had many other places. They have a good selection of spreads, and an even better selection of bagels - flavors and varieties I haven't seen elsewhere! My favorite is the Rosemary Olive Oil, and my guy likes the green chile asiago. I like their flavored coffee, and they usually have hazelnut & vanilla. They had pumpkin for a while and it was really good! I also like the overall flow - you work with one person, generally, from start to finish. They take your (or your group's) order, make the sandwich/bagel and then ring you up. They always have tons of employees (more at the other store up North, though), and I've always had pleasant encounters. The manager at this store is really on top of it, and always provides excellent customer service. Once, I saw her offer to fresh make someone one specialty bagel in the middle of the afternoon (store was dead) just to not lose the sale! Who wouldn't love a hot fresh bagel specially made for you?! Not a perfect score because I haven't had a lot of luck ordering lox at this location. One time, the employee had no idea what I was talking about and it took us 2 minutes and another employee for him to truly understand that I wanted sliced smoked salmon. A second time, either though I ordered flavored cream cheese on my bagel and then ordered lox, I was asked if I meant the lox cream cheese. It's silly, but it's such a common thing (in my mind) to order at a bagel joint! Also, I realized recently that I have been grossly overcharged for lox in the past - something I should be more wary of in the future! All in all, good location and the tastiest bagels in town!

I am giving them 3 stars due to being hit & miss. Today, I bought a iced latte that was basically all milk can you can't even taste the coffee and hazelnut flavoring. Very disappointing. I have never receive a iced coffee or late that was made correctly at this location. I split with my husband 1 breakfast bagel & one cream cheese bagel. The breakfast bagel was fine. Nothing amazing but not terrible either. Just did a plain bacon, egg & cheese. Can't really mess up this classic too much. The cream cheese bagel was burnt. I didn't even bother eating it. My husband forced it down. I would keep a eye on them while they make your food just in case. Servers are normally nice. Hate had any problems in the past with customer service. Nothing amazing. Food it's hit & miss. At least the service is good. May return again for a bagel. Will watch them to make sure it isn't burnt. However, I'll never order coffee again..

I have gone down a star from my previous review over two years ago. Why, you ask? I'm getting there. Why do you keep going back to this one if you think it's so wretched, you ask? Well, that's because it's just on the other side of Broadway from me, and Lord knows when you need a bagel (yes...need...bagels are a necessity in my life), you need a Bruegger's Bagel. As mentioned previously, bagels are my most favorite food in this world. These people somehow manage to screw them up. I'm not unreasonably demanding with my bagel order, at least I don't think I am, but this Bruegger's somehow manages to get my order wrong or messed up every. Single. Time. The other Bruegger's in Tucson do not do this. It is only this location. The staff typically have dead looks in their eyes, and just get through making the bagel. No effort or thought is put in to this process. The bagels are usually cut unevenly (a tiny sliver cut off of the top and then most of the bagel makes up the bottom half), which is not really conducive to eating a bagel with cream cheese. The top has WAY too much while the bottom feels lacking. The veggies are also put on unevenly. All of my onions go on one side, my peppers go on the other...it's just a little frustrating. It's not an even sandwich. The employees here don't seem to care about that, though. As long as they are getting through the day with as few thoughts as possible, they seem content to make a very sloppy sandwich. Today, though, we went in, and the girl making our sandwiches didn't have her hair up. While making my husband's sandwich, she bent over his lettuce, nicely dragging her hair through this veggies. Had it been my bagel, I would have said something. I told my husband, and I am sure he was just fed up and didn't care anymore after trying to order, because he did not say a thing. I was horrified, he was horrified, but the desire to leave outweighed his desire to have a hairless sandwich. So, look, Bruegger's still has a delicious bagel. It's not the bagel itself that is funky here, they are cooked well, and this is the only reason they have two stars instead of one from me. If we were going based on the build of the sandwich, they would have a solid one star. The sandwiches here are a nightmare of eatability, since they are cut and then built so sloppily the guts of your sandwich slip and slide. You have to be on your toes to eat something made here. Will I continue to eat here? Probably. I will have to continue to watch them like a hawk when they make my sandwich to make sure everything makes it's way on there. Just know this: you take your lunch into your own hands if you chose to be a person like me, who lives on the wild side of the bagel.

What can I say, I'm a sucker for Bruegger's. I used to live right down the street from this location and used to hit it up quite regularly. It's always been quite busy. Service is typically good and the bagels always seem to be pretty fresh. Recently returned when I was in this area of town and found that it appeared to be exactly as I remembered it. Yeah, there's better places to get bagels in town, but like I said, I'm a sucker for Bruegger's, and this one is nicely located in the middle of this sprawlish city we call home.

This is where you should go if you want a bagel sandwich compiled in the most haphazard and stupid way possible. You would think that with as many people out there looking for a job, they could find at least 3-4 employees with IQ's higher than their age, but apparently not. It's unfortunate that I live so close to this location because in general I really like Bruegger's, but this location has had a lot of staffing problems for years. At the time of writing this, I am "the duke" of this location. Mostly because it is so close, and if you're only buying bagels and cream cheese, they can seem to manage that. Yes, picking a bagel out of a basket and putting it into a bag and counting to 13 is a task they can SOMETIMES accomplish without asking you to repeat 3 times that you want 6 everything before going to grab 5 garlic. Jesus Christ it can be a test of patience greater than dealing with 20 three-year-olds for several hours. Never ask them to slice your bagels if you're planning on bringing them home. They will smash them sideways and then cut them not down the middle, but almost always in some strange diagonal pattern that leaves one side a millimeter thick and the other side over an inch. God help you if you order a sandwich. The funny thing is they think they can handle it, but they clearly can not. After you order, they will say something like "Bitchy McDoesntCareAboutHerJob at the register can ring you up while I finish!" Hah! Fat chance. I know better than to trust you morons to make my sandwich with any vague resemblance of common sense. Today I ordered a Turkistrami on Pumpernickel Bagel, which at other locations I have found to be delicious. Firstly, and least relevantly, they recently changed their honey mustard and I liked the original better. Secondly, again my bagel was cut in the aforementioned moron-manner. Third, at other locations they have stacked turkey on one side, pastrami on the other, then placed a piece of cheddar on each side before toasting. Here they didn't put the correct amount of turkey, then stacked everything on one side, placed two slices of cheese over that side, then toasted. this left my hot sandwich cold in the middle and my cheese melted only on the edges. Fourth, the tiniest fart of arugula was placed on my sandwich and only covering about an 8th of it, and before placing it on my sandwich my server dragged her hair through it. If I hadn't been so hungry, and if I had any feeling whatsoever that starting over might result in a better sandwich, I would have had her start over or just left the building entirely. Bottom line: This location is the worst in Tucson. If you can afford the time, go to the location on campbell where people have at least average intelligence and put the smallest amount of care into your order. If you are just buying bagels and cream cheese, this location will suffice but watch them closely. They can not be trusted.

All night long I craved a bagel with salmon. I researched my mission and decided on Bruegger's near my house. First impression - TERRIBLE layout for customers and workers. Second impression - server was nice and made recommendations which I followed for additions to my salmon bagel sandwich. Third impression - wah wah wah ... the roasted tomato spread overpowered the taste of the salmon - if indeed it had any taste because I didn't taste the onions or capers either. By the time I paid for the bagel, a half-filled, watered-down OJ and a bottle of water - I was over $10. I could have had a robust breakfast in a sit-down restaurant for that much money.
I've always enjoyed these bagels but last week I went in for a breakfast sandwich and it was very good! I used to frequent The Bagelry back when it was around on Campbell and since it died I just haven't been close to a bagel place for breakfast. Nice interior, quick service, great selection of bagels and cream cheese, and lots of seating. I really recommend you double check your order before you leave. We ordered two bagels to go and both ended up being sub par to anything we could have done at home. We should have double checked before we left. One of the bagels was cold (we didn't ask for that) and very very rubbery (like a car tire) so it took forever to chew and eat (maybe it was old?) The other bagel had little to no butter on it (we asked for plenty of butter). We bought a brownie too and it tasted funny like as if meat (fish - salmon cream cheese???) was added. Both my husband and I could taste it (ICHK!) I have been to other locations that were much better so Brugger's is still on our go-to list. However this location is not. I've always enjoyed Bruegger's bagels, especially their sun dried tomato paste, but my experience at this location compelled me to complain. Note that this review is for this location, not for Bruegger's in general. This location insisted on charging me a 1.50 to put a tiny, melon ball scoop of the yummy tomato spread on my bagel and cream cheese. The very slow staff seemed more interested in goofing off than helping customers. Even though there were seven workers and only a few customers, it took ten minutes to make my three bagels. Finally, the place was filthy...seriously filthy. My shoes stuck to a sticky, dried soda spill on the floor. There was food and trash all over the floor as well, and dirty tables. In order to boost the spiciness of the jalapeño bagels, I order mine toasted and "buttered". The grease brings out the heat and makes it almost too spicy to eat alongside coffee. Which is how I like it. Today my bagel was "buttered" on a counter bookended by two piles of greyish wiping rags. The corners of the wrapping paper touched one pile of rags. In my peripheral vision, I caught a glimpse of the manager encouraging a smile from the girl fixing my bagel. This made me think of Office Space and pieces of flair. I felt bad for the girl. The manager noticed her facial expression but not those two nasty piles of rags.

The only time I ever really go to this place is in the mornings just before I go to work, so I always have to get my coffee fix. I know this place isn't a coffee joint, but their coffee is surprisingly really good. They even allow you the option of soy milk as the base for a latte without any extra charge. The staff always seems to be friendly and the service is pretty quick. Their bagels are a hit or miss. Sometimes I may get a burnt bagel. I'm surprised that this would even happen considering they are bagel place. So I typically eye them to see which one they give me. Other than that they have a good selection of freshly baked bagels. My favorite is the cinnamon raisin. Their bagel breakfast sandwiches are pretty good especially the huevos rancheros. It comes with egg(egg white or regular), sausage(regular or turkey), jalapeño cream cheese(you can opt to not get this or get a different one such as the light herb garlic or onion and chive), cheese, and salsa. Depending on my mood, I will ask for extra jalapeños. My fiancé gets the egg white and turkey sausage with cheese and likes it, but he puts a lot of Tabasco on it. Sometimes I try to go a little lighter and get a skinny where they take out maybe a 1/4" from the center of the bagel. Or I will just get a skinny bagel with butter to make it a little less fattening since I'm not getting it with cream cheese. Sometimes I'll grab an herby turkey to save for lunch since it's so good. No matter how you look at a bagel it is never healthy, but you only live once, right? So go for it!

This is my first time writing a review for Bruegger's, when I have been to this location tons of times. The staff is friendly and fast, at least in my experience. The Roma Roast beef sandwich is tasty. The bagels are decent. Nice selection of Naked drinks too.
