I travel a lot for business solo - and I rate a restaurant on three things - how welcome I feel, how good the food is and overall atmosphere. If I'd written this in November of 2014 when I first dined at Breeze, this would be a 5 star review. Alas, it's March 2015, and it's not. One - maybe the seating staff is told to say "what can I help you with?" when someone walks in, but if they are - that's not welcoming. I didn't walk in asking for directions - I walked in to be seated to eat. Don't treat me like I'm lost! Two - last time I was here, I got hooked on the carne asada quesadillas mentioned in another review - pure heaven. Ordered again. They came out quick, but tasted off. I told myself it was just a slightly fishy taste from the grill as I was hungry and I wasn't going to complain as I already didn't feel welcome. As I'm writing this soon after dinner, let's all hope that was the reason! Three - well that goes with one this time - just didn't feel like my solo self was wanted there despite the fact that it wasn't busy. Too bad as I came back to the Radisson for Breeze - but there are other hotels with restaurants to explore in Tucson. Loved it once, not so happy the second time - and not really willing to make the third time be a charm.

Stayed at the Radisson for about 10days, and had the pleasure of going to the Breeze after work. It's great because you can order your food and drinks and get it delivered to you poolside. I loved the spinach dip and the quesadillas! They were quite tasty, and they serve local beer that compliment the meals so well. The service was alright and the atmosphere looked good but felt dull. Except for that, I will definitely be back if I am ever at The Radisson.

We arrived on our anniversary night at the BREEZE to hear a favorite Blues Band. As we walked in we noticed all the tables were full outside on the patio where the band was playing. We asked if we could be seated outside. A young woman server with short dark hair behind the bar immediately snapped and told us, "oh, you have to have a reservation and this event was booked two months ago." REALLY? A bar in a hotel has to be booked two months prior? My husband said we are not with any group that's already out there. We just need a couple of chairs so we can listen to the music and order a couple of drinks. Immediately another woman server with shoulder length blonde hair came over and said, "let me see what I can do." She said, "follow me." She grabbed two chairs and found a space where we could sit and asked if we would like a drink or see the menu. We had already eaten so just wanted a couple of drinks. Within 5 minutes a male server arrived and took our order. As he turned around to leave, the blonde server and another server delivered a small table with a tablecloth on it. We were impressed that she was trying to accommodate us. We decided to order dessert to celebrate our anniversary. While the server was filling the order the woman server came back to our table and I thanked her and said, we really appreciate you accommodating us. It's our anniversary tonight and we are from Tombstone, AZ and this band plays in our town and we just wanted to hear them play and enjoy a warm evening on your patio. The BREEZE did not charge us for the dessert and one of the drinks!!! We were blown away with the service. Needless to say, we left a hefty tip. Management if you are reading this, that young girl behind the bar needs to learn a thing or two about Customer Service. The blonde woman server and our male server went out of their way with providing excellent customer service! Thank you to them for making our evening special. PS the puff pastry apple dessert with ice cream was delicious as well as the blended margarita's.

My meal was the grilled salmon salad. In short, it was a let down. I was served a smaller than average portion of fish w/merely lettuce. I guess I should have not been surprised, for the description off the menu was honest. To me a salad simply consists of mere more than just lettuce. I will not be back to eat. I might use this place a meeting spot over drinks.

I'm actually giving 4 stars to a hotel restaurant. Service was efficient, attentive and friendly. Server patiently answered all our questions. We had the fish special (Parmesan crusted roughy in a lemon caper cream sauce), a burger (oh yeah!), the short ribs (I was expecting them to be better but spouse really enjoyed them! Also, I'd say the same about the gratin potatoes that came with them), and the kids hot dog which was huge! And they let her sub a potato for the other kid sides. Dessert was the tarte tatin (not a true tatin- This was puff pastry with some (a little over) carmelized apples and ice cream. The dessert was huge and plenty for our group of four to share. Large (10 or so taps) selection of a wide variety of beer and a decent selection of by the glass wines. The only down side was that the first glass of wine had lipstick on the rim. (Not my shade!!! but they replaced it speedily.). Kids got lidded cups without being asked and the menu had enough variety for everyone. It was a little pricey so we were glad to have a groupon, but it was a nice evening.
