We were driving north on US Route 180 towards Petrified Forest National Park and we searched on Yelp for dining recommendations in Eagar or Springerville. Yelp directed us to Goob's Pizza, which turned out to be a good place with great service. The owner is very friendly and he is a great ambassador for this part of the U.S. The pizza was good. I would recommend this place without hesitation.

En route to the Grand Canyon, I stumbled upon Goobs, where I enjoyed a tasty veggie pizza. Bonus: the owner is a very pleasant guy who can tell you all about the area. Definitely recommended. Thanks, Goobs!

Stopped here last month on a road trip and we were amazed by how delicious it was. Probably the best pizza we've had since leaving the east coast. Crust was crisp on the bottom and almost creamy where it joined the sauce and toppings. The pepperoni did that beautiful thing where the edges crisp up just a tiny bit. Heavenly. What really stood out, though, was the incredible service. So friendly, personable, polite, and kind. In the process of chatting, we explained that we'd been married earlier that day and we were enjoying our honeymoon on the road. They insisted on giving us our full order on the house. A total gem you don't find every day. Wish we lived in the area.

"Won't go there again". We visited Goob's on a Friday of the 4th of July weekend, and there was only 1 other family in there, so we figured the wait wasn't going to be too bad. Bought 2 pizzas, 4 drinks, and 2 salads for $59, which is kind of steep for 5 people, but thought "maybe the pizza and service is worth it"...WRONG! We were not quoted a wait time by the brunette that took our order, but could hear a more mature blonde quote call-in customers a minimum of 1 hr wait time for delivery orders. We found a seat, self served the sodas and salads, and within about 20 min got the first pizza, and was told the second pizza was on the way. We finished the pizza (average tasting, skimpy toppings), and waited for the 2nd pizza, and waited, and waited, and waited.....so I got up and went to the counter to simply ask if they forgot our other pizza. In response, the mature blonde barked back at me "I told you there would be a 1 hr wait!". ???? She had never talked to me before, and didn't take our order, but I guess in her mind she had, and appeared to be under a lot of stress due to an overwhelming number of call in orders and a rather large crowd of about 20 that came in after we placed our order. Bewildered by her response, and confused why they would cook one pizza and not the other, I sat back down, and watched the other customers begin to be served, including several that complained about getting an incorrect order. Which led me to believe that our 2nd pizza more than likely got delivered or served to another customer, and they now had to cook another for us. We waited several minutes, and decided to let them know that we will take the 2nd pizza to go. The pizza later showed up, and instead of the mature blonde (who we assumed to be the mgr or owner) bring it out to us, along with an explanation or apology, another employee brought it, and when asked what was the reason for the delay she said "Well, I have two bosses, a husband and a wife...the husband says to do one thing, and the wife says to do the other"....??? Sounds to me like we unfortunately visited Goob's on a bad, busy day, and that the management needs to figure out how to better direct their help, and understand how to adequately prepare and staff for the increased business on a holiday weekend. But I seriously doubt I will ever be in there again to see if they get it right. IMO- What they need is some competition to put them on their toes, and give them an incentive to improve their service and pricing...as they seem to be the only pizza place in town.

Pizza comes in many forms: deep dish, personal, calzone, bagel bites, thin crust, traditional, Chicago, pizza rolls, pizza stromboli, pizza cupcakes...you name it and someone has created it in pizza form. But the only two kinds of pizza that matter to us lay folk is good and bad. Goobs has, hands down, the BEST pizza you can find in The White Mountains and--dare I say--all of Arizona. The menu has an awesome range from the traditional to the adventurous. If you're in for some wings riding sidecar to your pizza pie, Goobs has a collection of taste bud-worthy rubs and sauces that will knock your boots off. And for you healthy types, the fresh and crisp salad bar will truly clear your conscious after mowing down a few heavenly slices and gooey, chewy, crispy, saucy pizza. Fluffy crust, tangy sauce, quality cheese and fresh toppings are all necessary ingredients for a delicious Italian prize dish. However, the make up of a Goobs' pizza starts with fresh homemade ingredients then they spread on the killer customer service and sprinkle it with a welcoming environment where they don't judge you when you have sauce all over your face.

Upon entering Goobs my wife and I immediately felt welcomed - Holly is amazing and her people skills are a true asset to the business. The first bite of my pizza (pepperoni and pineapple) told me that this was a restaurant that knows how to make pizza!! The crust was delicious! I could tell immediately that it was fresh and homemade. Above that the pizza sauce was simply amazing (and homemade too)! This was by far the best restaurant pizza I have had! Goobs pizza is the gem of the White Mountain! This is the restaurant we will seek out each year we visit the White Mountains (and will recommend to all of our friends who are White Mountains bound!) *next time I am up here I will have to try the Italian Sausage - Holly (one of the owners) said they even make that themselves too!

When visiting the area for a BBQ competition, we were finally tired of eating BBQ and were craving a pizza. Goob's did not disappoint...the pizza and wings both hit the spot. The owners were friendly and very much on top of it. The dining room is inviting and a great place to relax and watch a game. If you're in the area, I'd definitely check them out!

I frequently travel the world for business and pleasure (about 9 months out of the year). No matter where I go, I make an effort to try the local pizza. Goob's was a very pleasant surprize. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and treated us like family. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. And the pizza was wonderful!!!!! Goobs has made my "Best Pizza in the World" list. Sforno - Roma (Rome) Da Remo - Roma (Rome) Da Michele - Napoli (Naples) Di Matteo - Naploi (Naples) Di Fara - Brooklyn (New York City) Spacca Naploi - Chicago Flour + Water - San Francisco Caffe Italiano - Firenze (Florence) and now.... Goobs Pizza - Springerville (Arizona) World Class Pizza in the White Mountains of Arizona? Goobs has made it so. This was my first trip to this area of Arizona but I have a fealing it will not be my last. My only wish is that they offered red wine to go with the great pizza. Maybe a nice Chianti or Zinfandel?

I found this place through Yelp! Trying to do a little web research, their website (for the menu) doesn't exist any more. But when I called they answered and I asked a few questions and ordered off their recommendation. Tucked away in the corner of a small strip mall you wouldn't necessarily spot this unless you were really looking. It's a small family restaurant, emphasis on family. And they prepare the types of pizza that families like, from kids to adults. No fancy toppings like kale, eggplant or shiitake mushrooms, or anything else your kids would turn up their nose at. Just good pie with familiar toppings.

We have a cabin up in Eagar/Springerville and are well acquainted with the local businesses. We stopped in today to eat here with the kids and were blown away by the quality of the food. Small towns like this tend to be light on good cuisine, but the pizza was excellent, fresh tasting, crispy crust, yummy sauce. The owner stopped by our table and chatted with us and is very friendly and helpful. There is also an arcade for the kids, which kept them busy while we waited for our food, which wasn't long. We are so excited to have a great place to take the family when we come here several times a year. One suggestion to the owner, get a big flat screen for the wall so we can watch March Madness properly! :)

Can't say enough good things about the pizza my wife and I had at Goobs Pizza. We had the homemade sausage and extra cheese pizza. It was delicious. Tracey, one of the owners, was as friendly as could be. He even brought out the pizza to our table and both he and the waitress check on us during the meal to make sure we were happy with our food. We live about 50 miles from the restaurant but we will be going back again soon. The restaurant was clean, the restrooms were clean, great all around eating experience. Will try the wings and pizza next time we go.

While traveling through Springerville, AZ, we were tired, hungry and looking for a nice, relaxing place to grab a bite to eat. We found Goob's Pizza in the corner of the shopping plaza by Safeway. This wasn't your run of the mill pizza joint. Along with all of the classics, they also had a great selection of specialty pizzas. We had the "Lamont", which had a white sauce base, green chilies, pepperoni and pineapple, it was absolutely delicious! We also had the traditional hot wings that had great flavor and a nice heat to them. Besides the good food, Goob's offers plenty of seating (for family & friends), a relaxing dining atmosphere, and an arcade room. The owners, Tracy and Holly were extremely friendly, easy going and personable. If you are driving through Springerville, make sure to stop by Goob's Pizza!

Excellent food. Besides pizza the wings of great variety are delicious. The prices are very competitive. Employees, owners are very personable. Located in the same shopping plaza of Safeway grocery store. Since we live in the Phoenix area, this is our mandatory stop every time we are up in the area and have referred many people.

Some of the best pizza and wings we have had in awhile. We were just visiting the white mountains and are so glad we stopped here. The owners are really great also.

When visiting Sunrise Ski Resort, we stopped here for dinner. Four of us shared a special, a one topping large pizza and 12 wings. The wings came out and were the best I've had in a long, long time. They were crispy on the outside and super juicy inside. The pizza came out a few minutes later and the owner had already asked the kitchen to make us another as she belived it was overdone. Actually, it was delicious and just the way I like it. She brought us the new pizza to go because we had no problem with the first. She was so sweet and said "well now you have breakfast." The don't have beer, but other than that...two thumbs up.

Yummy! I ordered their supreme pizza and it is one of my favorites. The sausage tastes homemade with bits of rosemary or sage in it. They also did an outstanding job with the grilled red onions. I wish they delivered to California!
