I've been a huge Chipotle fan since it's humble beginnings in Colorado. I still remember my first experience when my Mother took me for my first time and said "You only want to order one burrito. Trust me, they're huge!" Well, this Chipotle is just not up to par. I moved to Sierra Vista from Southern California 6 months ago. When I first brought up Chipotle to my coworkers as a suggestion for lunch the suggestion was met with negative reviews mostly about how small the portions are. I couldn't believe anybody would complain about small portions at a Chipotle. I mean, that's what they're known for! Awesome giant burritos, right!? Well, I've been to this Chipotle a hand full of times since moving here, each time being disappointed. This last time was it. I'm never going back. This burrito was smaller than a 89 cent bean burrito from Taco Bell! When my wife asked why it was so small before it was completely made the girl behind the counter said "Some people add more, some add less." As if that was any sort of answer. She then offered to put more rice, seriously...more rice? Yes, I would like a rice burrito SMH. They rolled it up in foil and passed it on to the lady at the register. I said I'm not paying full price for that burrito. She then just looked at me with disgust. I then said I'll pay half price for the half burrito. She went back to where the Manager (I assume) was and came back to the front line and proceeded to make a new burrito without even saying anything to me. As she was finishing up my burrito, the Manager (again, assumed) came out and said "You caught us on a training day." Well, everyday must be a training day because you have a reputation for tiny portions. No apologies or anything from anyone. At no point did any of the 4 people that touched my burrito say this isn't right, let's correct this. Over the past decade of enjoying Chipotle, I have almost always been happy with my order. Managers and employees were always helpful and corrected any mistakes no questions asked. Many managers have comped burrito's or chips or drinks just for being a loyal customer. It's almost always been a pleasant experience. Not here. I have uploaded a picture of the original burrito along with the remade burrito.

This store isn't up to par with the Tucson stores. Meager portion of chicken in my tacos, just a few scattered pieces; so little I felt like I was eating a lettuce and salsa taco with cheese. My lunch mates' meals were skimpy on the meats as well. All three of us were disappointed. The side of Black Beans, as small as it was, would save the day. Or so I thought. Disappointed again. Bland, not spicy and not brimming with flavor as they are in Tucson. The whole meal was a ripoff. We were still hungry and unfulfilled with much a lighter wallet. So much so that we had to go to Walgreens for nuts and snack bars in order to make it to dinner.

Went into town for a quick visit, and decided to stop and get dinner...great service and atmosphere, but that does NOT excuse the lack of food maintenance, food was cold, beans were practically frozen...why Chipotle didnt we have something special? You, me, and the million of basic white women that love you, WHY...

Favorite "go to" restaurant. Fresh ingredients. Rice can be a hit or miss at times, but overall.... A reliable place. ** Staff is always friendly and fun.

The food compares to other Chipotles, but the service is awful. I'm pregnant and had a display fall on me. The girl behind the counter told me I "needed to be careful" as I grabbed for my jammed fingers in pain. On another attempt, I was snarled at for asking for a little more rice in my burrito. I was getting a veggie and it was quite small, portion-wise.

The food is good...the service here is not great though. Management needs to do a better job in training their staff. It is like Buena kids gone wild behind the counter of Chipotle every time I go there.

It's a high-class, overpriced, Taco Bell with fresh ingredients-but not real Mexican food, are you kidding? We don't put rice in burritos! I paid $9+ for three tacos and a drink. Chipotle has lovely, helpful, hard-working staff though!

Chipotle is a good Americanized Mexican joint that Sierra Vista has needed for a while. Yeah, the prices are high for what looks like a simple burrito- but everything is organically raised, including ALL free range meat. Healthy for fast food, a great alternative to Subway.

My hubby has been drooling over the proposed Chipotle, for over a year, so we've been casing the joint, checking for signs of life... It is located over at the new Charleston Crossing (WalMart) shopping center, it's hard to tell that it's open, since there is a lot of construction still going on in the area. I've gotta say, the parking lot really sucks! Whoever designed it needs a good beating... It is so poorly laid out, twisting & turning, too tightly packed, not enuf of an aisle for two way lanes, etc... So, on to the actual restaurant... I luv the modern feel of the interior design - it's got an Ikea feel, which I personally like, clean & contemporary. I'd never guess I was in a Mexican food joint, but I really dig that! I mean, we're out in the desert & so close to Mexico, decorating with kitschy statues of coyotes, cactus, & the token sombrero wearing Mexican w/ his head down is just so redundant, but I digress... We got two burritos, the Barbacoa & the Carnitas (one was shredded pork & one was shredded beef, but I can only guess at which was which), for $6.35 each. It's set up like a Subway, assembly line fashion, you can choose from what they have to fill Ur burrito. They have that flat, round, tortilla steamer machine that makes it all soft and yummy. We both got their rice w/ cilantro&lime, black beans, the shredded meat, sour cream & cheese, salsa... Their hot "salsa" wasn't spicy enuf for me, but Hubby liked it. I tried each of the burritos and they were yummy, simple, and filling! The only complaint I have is the price... We only got the two burritos and it came to $13.93 w/ tax. That seems kinda high for such a simple meal. It wasn't really special or different, imo. Their slogan is "Tastes good is good.", and that is kinda how it left me... it was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to have it, again. I'm not sure if this good is good enuf to make it in this tough-to-stay-in-business town.

I've been to this particular Chipotle location over 20 times, I've also been to other locations across the country, probably over 100 times. So far the franchise seems to have their stuff together. I've never received bad service or bad food, other than a couple of times the black beans were a tad bit undercooked, but still ok. Otherwise it's been consistently great at every location. The only complaint I really have is the parking lot isn't designed too well. But the store itself is well-run.

Horrible service! The girl behind counter started to rush us as 2 people got in line behind us. There were only 4 other people in the entire store. Been in many chipotles with lines out the door & have never been rushed. She gave very small portions & was rude when asked for more lettuce in my bowl.

For those of you who think Chipotle is overpriced, look at the serving sizes. One burrito (or burrito salad) should be able to fill two adults. My husband and I like totally different things on our burritos, so we each get one for ourselves and have the leftovers as a snack later. This restaurant is great, as long as you go in during lunch hours. We went in one day for dinner and felt like we were putting the staff out by showing up to eat. The lunch staff is great, though! They seem to love to feed hungry people! The food is fresh, flavorful, and relatively inexpensive if you take into account what you'd get for the same price at a burger joint. For those of you who are new to Chipotle, think Subway for Mexican food. There is an assembly line that you're able to choose from for all of your fillings. You can get a burrito, a salad, or a burrito bowl (basically a burrito without the tortilla). They have different levels of spicy for their salsa, and they even have real guac (for an extra charge). If you get an app for your iPhone (I'm sure other phones have them as well), you can place your order when you get off for lunch and they'll have it ready to pick up by the time you get there! I'm getting hungry now, so I'm off to get another burrito!

The closest you can get to real Mexican food! Living in the border, you know what's the real thing for sure, then you go a little north and feel bad for the people who think "Taco Bell" is Mexican, but enough w/that! Chipotle is good and fast food. I wouldn't mind eating there 'once in a day, I mean, while' ..... I recommend it! go!

I highly recommend their catering option for your next event! I ordered the "Two Meat Spread" for an office luncheon of approx. 25 people (it can accommodate 20 to 200) and it was very well received. Chipotle provides the catering racks, tongs, serving spoons, napkins, dishes, cutlery, sterno candles, even matches - everything you need. All packed in handy, reusable, eco-friendly bags that can be returned for future discounts/coupons. The set-up itself was simple, quick, and the end result was just as easy to dive into. Happy-tummied attendees repeatedly complimented me on the food, like I'd made it. And though most went for seconds, if not thirds, we had leftovers for days. Down side: they do not deliver. However, their awesome staff (who only require about 24 hours notice for catering orders) did help me load the goodies in my car, and were overall well-organized and very friendly. I have a feeling this will soon be the delicious makings of a company picnic. A+++++++++

Me and my family have been going to this location for about four years now. The service has always been wonderful, however, the food quality has changed quite a bit this past year. Salsa has taken more of a paste like consistency. The rice is over cooked more so these days. The chicken has also been a bit under seasoned. I love going here for the service, but the food has not been what we are used to from this location for some time.

Giant burritos and burrito bowls are the best things this place has to offer. The tacos are better at some of the local places. I like that they cook everything in front of you and you can see the quality ingredients you are getting. A bit pricey, but good solid meals each time I have been here.

This was my 2nd time visiting Sierra Vista. I don't eat breads, pastas, potatoes or rice so my family and I were looking for a place that could accommodate my healthier eating style. This place was perfect. They offered burritos and bowls on their menu. I was able to pick and choose exactly what I wanted to eat. I ordered a bowl with steak, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and guacamole. Their serving size is huge. I was not able to eat everything in the bowl. And their food was delicious. At first this place seemed pricey but after I got my bowl and saw how much food I got, it was pretty much on par. If I visit this town again, I will definitely be eating there again.

I don't understand what peoples' issue is with this Chipotle. I have never had a problem with my chicken burrito at this location. The service is good and it's nice and clean. This is near an army post, so it really packs out around lunch time. The employees are able to keep up just fine. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is becuase the parking lot is really small and difficult to maneuver in. I recommend getting your burrito fix here nonetheless.

I hardly write reviews unless I'm absolutely compelled to. I had the worst Chipotle experience ever today and had to rant about it. I'm originally from California, and Chipotle back home is part of everyday life. Then I moved to Hawaii and sadly there aren't any on the island because it's too expensive for Chipotle to ship the quality of ingredients they use. So long story short, when I got sent over to Sierra Vista for work, I was stoked to finally get my hands on a Chipotle Barbacoa Burrito. I know how much Chipotle is because the ingredients are exceptional and the size of the burritos are awesome, so I wasn't tripping out when I paid $10 for a burrito and chips and guac. I was however extremely irritated with the blonde girl who made my burrito by shoving all the ingredients onto the tortilla and serving me a bulging, barely sealed mess. She even proceeded to toss my burrito into the to-go bag. I felt like asking her to just make it into a bowl with how awful she wrapped it. Whatevs. I'm complaining because I flew all the way over here dreaming about Chipotle, only to have Sierra Vista do me dirty. Epic fail!

Portions really depend on what time of day you are there. I've gone during lunch time and had to request more rice and more meat. I've gone an hour before closing and gotten a bowl full. Can be a bit annoying for the customer because standards are not being set. Taco Bell has a cantina menu that rivals what this Chipotle is putting out and for half the cost.

2nd time stopping in at this place. Real fast, everyone is nice and smiling inside, very clean. No complaints about this place. Little pricey though compared to going to the local Mexican restaurant with bigger borritos.

Well, you can't really go wrong at most Chipotle's. This place was just like the other ones in the chain. I didn't have any issues. My food was plentiful, tasty, and fast. When I went, there was a continuous stream of business pouring in. Overall, not a bad experience.

This was my first Chipolte I have ever been to, but I must say I like it! I really enjoyed the fresh selection and the burrito and I entree I got both times were more than filling! The price is a bit high, but you do get your money's worth. I also wish there were more menu options. The outside seating area is a nice addition!

Ah, Chipotle...a restaurant with raving reviews and cheering fans, everywhere but in Sierra Vista. When it opened, and everyone was so excited about it, I had no reason to be because well, I'd never even heard of "Chipotle". To me, it's just another Mexican restaurant in this "10 Mexican Restaurant Town". I've been there a handful of times. Yes, about 5 to be exact. Out of those 5 times, I still have yet to raise a finger on how many times I've been impressed. I don't remember all the reasons why this restaurant has forced my hand at giving them such a low score. All I remember from the previous visits was that the food wasn't all that impressive, and getting your food ordered the way you want it seemed very...controlled. All three tacos have to be ordered the same way, blah blah blah. Now, this last time I had their food (today)...I can definitely rate. The taste of the food itself, not too bad. It's just the quantities of each of the components of my triplet steak tacos that I'm annoyed with. 3 x steak tacos: flour tortilla, lettuce, rice, cheese, STEAK. Their version: flour tortilla, a lot of lettuce, a lot of rice, a little bit of cheese and a couple pieces of steak. No, I'm not exaggerating. I think I get more steak at Costco walking around having the free samples. It's almost as if I ordered a vegetarian taco, with just a sprinkle of meat on it. I've emailed the company and told them of my experience with their restaurant. Hopefully someone will get a hold of them and tell them to stop being stingy with the frigging cow chunks. Also, other complaints I've heard is the Sierra Vista one doesn't do any justice to the restaurant chain. The ones in bigger cities is better, which just goes hand in hand with the restaurant curse that runs rampant in Sierra Vista. The positive thing about this restaurant is being able to order online and go pick it up. Can't do that with Taco Bell. :oD

Im not saying it to be funny, but Chipotle, in my opinion, is white people Mexican done right. The tortillas are not hand-made, but rarely are they anywhere. The rice has no resemblance to Mexican rice. But alas, the salsa is more authentic than most Mexican restaurants that cut corners by serving what seems to be a product closer to ketchup. The barbacoa(again, not how it's made in Mexico) is delicious. The carnitas are also great. The service is fast for when you are hungry. It's a little expensive compared to a restaurant that will serve rice and beans on the side, but it's forgivable. My only gripe is the metal top tables. Am I there to eat or to witness some type of surgical procedure? I think the tables are kind of creepy and uncomfortable to eat at. Anyway, this is white Mexican done right. Take THAT Taco Hell!

CHIPOTLE!! I Love Chipotle. I can agree that they are a bit skimp on the meats. I politely ask for more. I hate feeling like it depends on who is making your bowl or taco. SO if it isn't to my liking, I ask for more, they have never said no. I always get a bowl and switch up what meat I get. I love barbacoa, chicken, and steak. They are very fast at this location and that means a lot to me, because my lunch break is only 30mins.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
