This place is excellent. The owners are very accommodating. We've eaten here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All the food we've eaten has been very yummy to the tummy. Try it you'll like it. We will definitely eat here again.

This place is good! Kids hamburger was on a gorgeous torta and wonderfully seasoned, our pear salad was yum, drinks were great, service was awesome despite our server was taking care of the entire place! Spruce it up a bit, get patio seating, good drink and app specials and this pace should take off. Wouldn't think about going here but we stayed at the resort and were somewhat captive being far from town. Totally worth it!!!

Holy moly! What a great restaurant in a totally unassuming location! A friend and I stayed at the Sedona Pines resort for a week. We were tired our first night there, so decided to try the Bistro out. It's nothing special from the outside, and the interior is rather curious. Past customers have written comments about their meals on the wall with marker, and I thought that was a little strange. However, as I sat there and read, every comment was recent-ish and very complementary. We had the trout with prickly pear butter and the pot roast. The main dishes were fantastic, particularly the pot roast. No knife needed, and heartbreakingly good. The stars, however, were the side dishes. The parmesan scalloped potatoes were insanely good, as were the different grilled vegetables. Everything was done to PERFECTION. The chef really knows what he's doing. I'm glad I don't live in Sedona, because I'd eat here all the time and eventually go broke. We ate at the Bistro about six times during our stay, including the times we did take-out.

First time here and what a welcome from the owner...she had a table by the fireplace for us. I read reviews before coming and Im a foodie...very clean and quaint, true it feels very hometown but my Ribeye was *****! Five stars and the mash potatoes were fabulous. My husband had pot roast...yes pot roast and it was just what we wanted it to be...Very Good! Salad was beautiful but did jot care for their dressing. It was a house dressing and had an odd syrup taste....Dessert was so very good. Back tomorrow night ;) Owners care and it shows....well dinner two my steak very good...amount of corn tiny and my husband's meatloaf returned..overcooked and covered in ketchup. ..askwd to order pot roast and she said also over done!!!! THREE STARS

We had dinner and breakfast at the Bristol and both times were delicious. Really recommend it.

First of all, the not so good: Atmosphere & decor was pretty bland, more cafe or diner than bistro. Prices seemed relatively high (beer & wine in the $5-9 range, appetizers & salads in the $8-10 range, entrees in the $23-38 range) and the menu was limited. The tables had no tablecloths and paper napkins were used rather than linen, which to me was incongruent with their prices. That being said, our meals were delicious and very nicely presented. We ordered & shared a Caesar salad, and had a chicken piccata and a rib eye steak for our entrees. Both meals were delicious, full of flavor, tender and generous portions. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. The bistro has been operated by several different owners over the past few years and it really is "the only game in town" if you want restaurant dining on the resort property. I believe this may be why the prices are so high - paying for the convenience of not having to drive anywhere else to dine. I think it's unfortunate, but they may be pricing themselves out of business. Even though the food was excellent, I probably won't return unless it becomes more affordable, or until the overall experience is upgraded to be in line with what a fine dining restaurant should offer.

We were staying at Sedona Pines and decided to eat at the Bistro one night. Incidentally, the restaurant isn't owned by the resort. The dinner menu is fairly small but with enough variety that it'll satisfy almost anyone. The dining room is actually split into two sections with the bar in the middle. Our table was closest to the bar. I was expecting it to be loud but it really wasn't. When we checked-in at the resort, we were given two tickets for free margaritas so we ordered those right away. They were actually pretty good and I appreciated that they asked us beforehand if we wanted it with or without salt. I ordered the meatloaf and my husband ordered the trout. We received a starter of bread and butter. Our meals came within about 15 mins of our order. My meatloaf was tender and moist but the recipe had a barbecue sauce/ketchup topping which I don't really like on a meatloaf. If you like your meatloaf with a barbecue sauce flavor, then you'll love this. I really couldn't finish it. I did eat the au gratin potatoes which were delicious and I wish I had gotten more of and the sauteed veggies, which were done exactly to a tender-crisp. My husband's trout was coated with panko-crushed almonds and finished with amaretto and pan sauteed. Fortunately for me, he had eaten before dinner and couldn't finish his fish so I was able to eat most of it. It was so good I was able to get the recipe from the chef. Portions were large enough. I saw quite a number of people leaving with leftovers. Our service was great. The waitress was quite attentive and could answer any question we had about the menu. The atmosphere is pretty casual and at times the dining room echoed due to the tile floors and lack of partitions. Thankfully, they didn't have loud music playing. I felt the dinner prices were a high for what you get. The meatloaf was $20 for a ground beef dinner! I doubt I'd come here again because there are so many other places to try in Sedona. The best thing about this restaurant is the convenient location if you happen to be staying at the resort.

Breakfast is plentiful. The fried squash in the breakfast plate was good. Sausage parties mild but tasty.

We went to this bistro for lunch and while the food was okay (Philly cheese steak and fries), the service was bad. We stood around for a while waiting to be seated. I asked the bartender, Brenda, who happens to also be the waitress if we should seat ourselves, and she said she'd be right with us. She was busy with two customers at the bar and there was no one else in the restaurant. She was short and rude, never even greeted us. We sat, ordered, and tried to stay under $25 since we had a gift certificate. I calculated a total of $18 plus $4 for one drink. She brought the check but quickly snatched it away when I showed her the certificate, and she walked away mumbling upset and shaking her head. Our balance was $5.11. I assumed this included gratuity but we still left her a tip. I understand she may have been having a bad day, but that's no reason to treat customers so rudely. The price difference would not have been so suspicious either if she had been a personable, friendly waitress, as all for that job should be. Never going there again!

This place in not on the beaten path but well worth the effort to get there. The food and folks are great. The owners, Dena and Greg, are warm and accommodating people and they really care about their customers. We will be sampling more of the menu later in the week and will report back. But our first several visits have been great. bb
