I'm surprised at some of the not-so-good reviews. We loved it. Went there on a Thursday night for drinks and loved the atmosphere in the bar. Modern and clean and not all Southwesty. Good drinks and service. Went back on Friday for dinner and enjoyed it even more. Shared the hummus platter and it was more than enough for the 2 of us. Then had the fish sliders and they were very tasty. And they had a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc which was wonderful. Will definitely go there again.

Breakfast was ok portions were really small. Ok so that was the good part...we them decided to give it a try for dinner.... Service was bland!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would give them an "F" for personality. The dinner pear salad was bad, sour and missing ingredients. But even before we got the meal the manager was eating out of a bag of potato chips at the bar...I know to some this may not sound so bad but it was the end of the bag and he was shoveling the last of the broken bottom of the bag chips into his mouth.... Not cool and so not professional! Will not be going back!

Came here for breakfast. Prices are super low and the food was really good. The portions were great (not too big, not too small). Staff was attentive and very friendly.

we were looking for a place to have a good cheeseburger and some stranger recommended this place so we decided to try it out. when we first walked in, it was a relief to see that there was a contemporary place in the middle of rustic cowboy touristy type of town. I enjoy this type of atmosphere: modern, contemporary, artsy. and I like red! we sat at the bar for lunch, it was quiet... monday. the bar was metal.. and felt little too cold against my arm on hot 1st of september weather.. so i guess I shouldn't get too comfortable. I can see if that was to keep my beer cold, but didn't really realize the difference. I had rosemary grilled chicken with sweet potato fries. my friend, the cheeseburger with wedge potatoes. my rosemary chix sandwich was interesting. topped with roasted bell peppers and spinach... little bit of red onion. (am I missing something?) chicken was nice and moist.. I thought it needed something else.. maybe some other flavor other than the marinade? my sweet potato fries were great. I enjoyed them.. I almost want to be a little thicker but... won't make that call until I taste it like that. the cheeseburger medium done was alright. it's cheeseburger.. nothing special. better than mcdonalds. we've spoken with couple of staff members. maybe because it was an off night, but boy, can I see some character please? they were court, but lacked personal character. but than again, perhaps it's working at the tourist spot that makes you not get close to customers... or show some personality. who knows.

Great staff, good live music, nice wine selection....the appetizers that we tried were not marvelous, but good none the less. I would definitely go visit Reds Restaurant when in Sedona again.

Ate here for a late lunch with the wife. We both ordered the ham cheese sandwich with tomato on sourdough bread - very tasty. A couple of things stood out that were odd however... For such a nice place the wait staff seemed a bit confused about the menu, service was kind of slow and our waiter did not know which wines were available or how much they cost. I ended up going over to the bar to check out the bottles so that I could order a glass of wine - strange. We dropped in during our stay on Friday night as well for a night cap and they had this weird band playing extremely loud awful music. I like music and loud is OK however this was really annoying.

Great food for the price. My wife and I stayed at the Sedona Rouge Hotel where this restaurant is located. The breakfast and lunch menu was utilitarian but the food was consistently well-prepared and fresh. Nice, classy decor. Waitstaff was average, but the quality of the meal and nice decor made this an enjoyable experience for my wife and I.

We went here for Valentines Day dinner. We didn't have a reservation, but from what I heard many people couldn't even get a reservation days before either. We ended up sitting at the High Top Table by the bar. I dont ever mind sitting at a bar area to eat, but these tables dont give you the option to have more of an intimate setting because we ended up facing another couple. Anyway, the food was great, I had lobster raviolli. Service was pretty good, but they were definitely busy. I liked that the chef came out to ask everyone how the meal was, I've never had that happen in any restaurant I've been too.

I sat at the bar and it had a nice atmosphere. Ate carne asada quesadilla with side of guacamole and chips. Very good but was disappointed I could not get guacamole w/o chips--charged for appetizer size. Would go back again.

This food was tasty, the ingredients were fresh, and the staff members were attentive. The bill was moderate. This is a good place to visit for lunch; when I dined there, it looked like several tables had locals enjoying their meals and the relaxed atmosphere.

We're local - I like this place...as a quiet, quality, good service place for Breakfast. Still 'undiscovered' or un-frequented place by locals... Greeter (red haired woman) is sweet, awesome, attentive... Staff in general attentive - a little more 'yes we can do that'...and flexibility is always helpful.

Location: the restaurant is part of the Sedona Rouge Hotel And Spa hotel. The lounge area is very well decorated with a relaxing atmosphere. There was a band playing while people were enjoying small bites and a glass of wine. Dining area is spacious and elegant. Overall, the restaurant is extremely relaxing and welcoming. Service: besides the waitress who was assigned to our table, there was also another person coming around to refill your water, drinks or whatever you might need. Our waitress is super friendly and attentive. I cannot ask for more. Food: if you stay with the same hotel, they will give you vouchers for free appetizers. We ordered two appetizers including "made it yourself" flat bread and dip to start with. It was very delicious. I ordered the sea bass for dinner and the fish is very fresh. I highly recommend it. I also ordered hot tea and they gave me 9 different types to choose from. What more can you ask for? Rating: this restaurant has excellent service and the food is delicious/fresh. I will definitely recommend this restaurant especially if you are staying at this hotel.

My wife and I have eaten at Reds twice in the last week. We live in Sedona and have our usual haunts but decided to try Reds because some friends spoke highly of it. It is surprisingly informal for being a part of a luxury spa hotel. The menu is diverse and there is both a bar menu and a restaurant menu but you can order from either no matter where you are seated. I had the Chinese pork ribs and a Quinoa vegetable dish on the first visit and beef ribs and a salad on the second. Both meals were excellent. My wife had seared Ahi salad on both visits. She was very pleased. The service is cordial and efficient. They have both waitstaff and assistants. The assistants make sure the water is filled and bread is available and will attend to anything else. We sat in the dining room where there were few customers on both visits. The bar scene is quite lively and is enhanced by long high tables where many groups can sit elbow to elbow to encourage interaction. People seemed to be having a good time. There is live music in the bar. We are surprised that this restaurant is not more popular. We will be returning regularly.

This is becoming my go to place (for breakfast/brunch) when I am in Sedona. The food is always quite good and the ice tea is NOT Lipton. The service has always been great and the food fresh. The restaurant itself is located within a hotel, but you really don't notice it unless you need to use their restroom facilities (which has always been clean).. Some of the best onion rings I have ever had.

The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and the service was outstanding. The Mac n cheese appetizer was beyond decadent and the braised ribs melted in your mouth! My bf and I split the short ribs and the portion was huge! Definitely would recommend and would definitely come back!

I have to give 5 stars for one reason, SERVICE. Stopped in for an appetizer and glass of wine, had a great cheese plate, but they did not have gluten free crackers. The sous chef went to the store and bought gluten free crackers within about 5 minutes. That type of service does not happen folks...kudos to Shawn and Diana our bartender for GREAT service and attitudes, finally a restaurant and staff that get it. We are coming back for dinner tomorrow!

First time in Reds today for lunch. A few tables taken (noon) but only 1/4 full. My wife ordered the Albacore tuna wrap. She asked for a lettuce wrap, since she's allergic to glutens. The waitress had a gluten allergy but failed to convey our desires well, so my wife had a tuna salad. I ordered the Spicy Burger with Sweet Potato Fries and a Dr. Pepper. My drink arrived and was utterly flat. As our server brought our food, I requested a redo on the soda. As she delivered the next one, she said "There's a few bubbles in this one anyway". Oh well. The burger was excellent. Juicy, big and good flavor. I recommend that burger to anyone. The entire bill was $25.15 plus tip. A big bill for a salad and burger but not in Sedona, where you should expect to pay +33% more for anything.

Deceiving staff!!!! Service is slow.., they are way understaff The one free small plate and $5 house wine is given from 4-6pm. The waitress Tiffany tried to say the happy hour was ended when it was 5:50... MINUS the fact we we arrived at 5:30 and was waiting for 20 minutes already... Very deceiving... To top it off she tried to charge me $10 for the small plate!!! Watch out for her everyone!!!! Food was okay... Nothing spectacular... Standard ambiance... Live music

Food was just 'eh. I ordered clam chowder and Caesar salad. Soup was like a hot milky broth with a couple potatoes and few clams. The salad was soaked in dressing which was salty but otherwise lacked much of a flavor profile. I hardly ate any of it and server didn't bother to ask if it was ok or not. My husband ordered the tofu and mushroom cioppino, which also lacked any sort of flavor profile. Overpriced for the taste, but average for the area. Wouldn't bother coming here.

My boyfriend and I decided to have a little getaway in Sedona and chose Reds for our special thanksgiving dinner. Saw the reviews on yelp and also on a Sedona tourist site. Reds website said they were offering a nice three course thanksgiving meal for just $39 a person. We had reservations at 5:30 and when we arrived we found it to be a very intimate beautiful restaurant. There was a musician playing jazz on the keyboards when you come in. The tables were elegantly decorated and candles everywhere. Tony was our server and he was excellent. We started out with some really good rolls and a red wine blend, maybe it was a meritage I don't recall - boyfriend picked it out. We were given the choice of a field greens salad or seafood chowder so I ordered salad and bf the soup (so we could try both). They were really good. Next we had a choice of traditional turkey, roast beef or sea bass. The main reason I chose this place was because they offered sea bass - I am a pescatarian and many thanksgivings I usually end up eating side dishes or salad. Finally a decent main course!! Boyfriend had the turkey which came with mashed potatoes gravy and I think vegetables. My sea bass was herb Parmesan encrusted and simply beautiful. A generous piece of moist baked fish in some sort of a yummy creamy sauce. Sooo good. Also came with mashed potatoes and some crunchy carrots mm mm. See my pix. Dessert you had a choice of Apple pie pumpkin pie or pumpkin cheesecake. Bf got pallet which was very rich but tasty. I had pumpkin pie and it was so good, it had just enough sweetness with a drizzle of white cream and fresh berries. Overall excellent dining experience. I would definitely come back when in town again.

Great overall experience at Reds tonight. Our server Paula was very helpful. Our merlot and entrees were generous and tasty. Scallops and Meatloaf both came out piping hot from the kitchen. The guitar player heard from the lounge was pleasant and entertaining. We'll definitely return next time we're in Sedona. The restaurant layout is very open so you can see all the chefs in the kitchen working their magic. There was a chef in a white coat (executive chef?) expediting tonight and it was fascinating to watch him keep everything flowing smoothly... communicating, wiping plates, actually running plates to tables himself when necessary. Impressive! The restaurant manager was on the scene as well and checked in with us once to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I only write reviews for restaurants I'm very pleased with, and Reds certainly qualifies. Thanks for giving us our $100 worth tonight!

Reds is a nice high-casual dining option in Sedona. I came here for breakfast and ordered their three egg-omelette. I found the quality of the food to be very good; the omelettes were well-prepared and tasty. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is on the modern-chic side and quite pleasant. Also, I found the prices to be reasonable for the value. Overall, I thought Reds was a real nice place. I would definitely visit again the next time I'm in Sedona.

Reds is a place you go to to for the atmosphere and wonderful service. Once you get that straight, then you're good. I read a few reviews here ahead of time that simply irritated me in their negativity. The thing is, if you want hipster high class epicurean cuisine, then you do your proper research and venture out and look for those things. Reds is simply a good restaurant, with great service, great atmosphere and good food. The service was beyond amazing. We came in at 9:30 pm (they close at 10 pm) and our waitress did not rush us at all. She was sweet and accommodating. The artist singing that night was really good, and added to that chill vibe. After a day of traveling and driving this was what I needed. Just a comfortable atmosphere with a good glass of red wine and some small bites to share with my folks. Overall I would recommend this place if you're looking for a good atmosphere and are just tired from traveling and want to go somewhere steps away from your hotel room with a nice atmosphere and good food. Like I said, it's not a high epicurean experience so if you're looking for that then do your research and seek that out. However, I really enjoyed my experience here and recommend it.

We continue to visit Red's mostly for cocktails and items from their bar menu. Consistent, tasty and reasonably priced (for Sedona). We find that some of the live entertainment is too loud or not particularly pleasant listening but otherwise tolerable.

We just finished dinner at Reds and the meal was average at best. Every dish had a heavy sauce that was overpowering. The scallop tacos could have been excellent but the heavy red chili sauce covered the taste of everything. The "classic" (heavy quotes) shrimp scampi came with a heavy cream sauce that was more fitting to an alfredo pasta than any light scampi dish. The angle hair pasta, not a good choice for such a heavy sauce in the first place, was overcooked. Finally the roasted sea bass, the best of the three, came with a pepper coulis that was fine but it too could have used a lighter touch. Service was fine, and prices a bit high considering the quality. There are many very good restaurants in the area. We would try somewhere else.

Service was despicable. As soon as the waiter saw we were using an appetizer coupon(which came with our room) he lost interest and was very slow in service. We had to get another waiter to waive him down in order to get our food. Too bad, because the food was not bad but they don't know how to treat their clients. I wish there was a zero star option. Never going back!

I've eaten at Reds several times but this was the first time I was disappointed. If you've never been here, it would be 'ok'. The food has changed recently and it appears to be more pre-made and frozen. The beef sliders were dry, the ribs appeared to be over cooked, and the chicken tenders appeared to be of the frozen version that was just fried and plated. I feel like the little touches that made the food a stand out have been neglected. The Sedona Eggs Benedict used to be my favorite but several things seem off. The hard tortillas have changed and seem to be thinner, less crispy, and less substantial. The eggs were not softly runny but hard boiled. The chorizo mix was not seasoned well and it was the first time ever that I had to put salt on a meal. I will say that the service is pretty good and the desserts are still amazing. I would come here for dessert and a drink. Its fun to sit in the lounge and listen to the live music. I miss the Reds from a few years ago where the food was top notch.

The plus: our server did everything within his capacity to salvage our dining experience. Thank you for your attentive service efforts! The minus: little could have been done to salvage our dining experience. Came here with 3 friends as part of a Grand Canyon / Sedona trip and ordered drinks, apps, salads, and main courses. Regarding the speciality libations, should your palate skew heavily/syruped sweetened, you're in luck, otherwise would recommend steering clear and ordering either beers/wine. The lump crab dip seemed heavily Aramark/Sysco inspired, salads were over dressed, though the piece de resistance was the inedible, over salted, desiccated chicken reminiscent of the dry creek beds we had hiked earlier in the day. Graciously, the staff had offered to replace the entrees though after sampling the over cooked scallops and other chicken, I had little remaining desire to further tempt fate. The meatloaf, however, was nicely moist with some good flavor. I would hesitate to return to or recommend this establishment, but would like to think this was perhaps an off night for the kitchen.

Hotel restaurants can be hit or miss. This one however is a dead on bullseye hit. Breakfast is more than solid, with creative twists to the classics. For example, how about Corn Flake crusted French toast? Sounds weird, but it's freaking tasty! Good coffee to help kick off a long day of hiking the trails in and around beautiful Sedona. Dinner is just as good and even has live entrainment in the bar area. Did someone mention the bar? Oh yeah, the drinks here are top notch solid. The bartender can (and will) make you anything you wish. They are also helpful with the dinner with the menu and can help steer you in the right direction for a satisfying dinner. I loved the beef sliders three ways! Even if you are not staying in the hotel, Reds should be on your dining radar. Come hungry, come thirsty you will not be disappointed.

Service was great and friendly. Food quality was average to overpriced for the what you got. One of us had the surf and turf and i would give 2 stars my beef a 3 star. The dinning room was more like a Denny's dining experience as opposed to a nice hotel experience.

We stayed at the hotel and decided to go downstairs to the restaurant as it was close and the menu appeared to have good options. We ordered the ny strip and the salmon, which were both pretty tasty. While the food was up to par based on the prices, the service was absolutely horrible. Our waitress, Paula p. was the worst! She came to our table to give us the specials and take our drink orders. After she brought our glasses of wine and took our dinner orders, she did not come over again until she brought our meals. She did not come to check on us for the rest of the time we were there; not even to make sure our meals were prepared to our liking. Another waitress brought us our bill and a to go container only when we flagged her down. The restaurant was not filled to capacity and had plenty of wait staff to service the number of patrons dining; though most of the other tables seemed to be ignored as well. While we normally may have returned for the food, we will not any more because of the lack of service provided.

The ambiance was the most romantic setting I have seen in many years. My romantic date started with a with a warm greeting from the hostess. To an unexpected intro to our Sous Chef Andrew. Our Bartender was Val filled with smiles and very informative. Then Javier was attentive & humble. Did not rush our order which is refreshing. He suggested the special which was a huge 10oz Prime Rib served with a perfectly prepared Baked Potato accompanied with fresh veggies. Let us not forget that the artistic Salad that tasted as great as it looks. Then our main courses came. WOW. Not only was the food sensational looking but the Chef brought it to us personally. The scallops were seared to perfection. The prime rib was tender. I almost did not need to chew because it melted in mouth. Then to close out our dinner, my date & I decided to order the Expresso Creme Brûlée. It was perfectly tasty that I forgot to take a picture because it went down my belly before I realized that I had no picture. So we had to order another. We were thanked by all the floor staff and set the beginning to an even more romantic night. REDS is the ultimate Romantic Destination. Eat exotic gourmet foods that are below the expected price.

Stayed in the hotel. Went for a nosh and drink after checking in. Live music and a nice happy hour crowd. Looked like a lot of locals. Nice selection of good wines and local brews. The next day, we ordered appetizers and drinks from poolside. Service was prompt. Went to breakfast on get away day. Nice varied menu, attentive, friendly staff. All in all, a pleasant experience. Well done you guys.

This is the for the breakfast only. Breakfast was good in a "can't mess up breakfast" kind of way. If you're a hotel guest, sure, it's convenient and pretty reasonable (food and prices). The omelette and Eggs Benedict were good. There were a lot of locals (good sign). As Jimmy W. writes, "The food is competent, though nothing spectacular."

We dined at Red's during our stay at the Rouge. They had given us certificates for one free "small plate" appetizer on each night of our stay so that drew us in, along with the fact that they have a full bar. The food was pretty good, service was just... OK. The people who actually came to our room from the restaurant when we ordered room service were a million times friendlier than the servers and bartenders we came across in the restaurant. I felt the the employees were just going through the motions, which to me says the restaurant may not have the best management. Because we were in Sedona for our elopement we decided to make reservations at Red's for our "reception dinner" so that way everybody could celebrate with a glass of something (or two, or three) and not have to worry about driving back to the hotel after the wedding. That was the one mistake we made when planning our wedding day out, but how were we to know? In hindsight I would have made reservations somewhere else and then paid for a taxi or limo. We were given Javier as our server and the man had the personality of a brick. We were never offered a congratulations, his attitude was more like "what do you want?" But we decided to make the best of it and have a good time anyway, which we did, but that was on no part due to the restaurant. When I ordered the food I asked for two appetizer plates for my husband and explained that they would be his meal. Instead, they came out about ten minutes before the rest of the food did and they had been prepared incorrectly. But my mother and I were starving so we ate them and ordered another two plates and asked that they be brought out with the entrees, which they did, except they came out totally overcooked. My husband brought this to the attention of the manager and she took the plates from him, but she didn't tell Javier so when he came back to check on us my husband told him everything was fine but his food was overcooked so he went ahead and sent the items back. Javier just looked at us and said "OK" but never took the items off of the bill. Dealing with all of this was just a lot to go through when we were trying to celebrate our marriage, it's kind of funny though when you think about it because we definitely won't forget the meal we had after our wedding. Also, we had our wedding cake with us and they never offered us service for it, which I found rather surprising. I myself work for a hotel and we would never dream of NOT offering cutting service to a bride. However, other than the overcooked appetizer plates, the food was quite delicious that night and the other nights we went. We would have gone to Red's more during our stay but I have to admit the service deterred us from wanting to spend too much time there.

We ended up here after our relaxing rest from the Enchantment resort in the Sedona Mountains. My wife and I were craving for some burgers, so we decided to check this place out. Nice looking clean place. Staff is very nice. There was a loud group of people once we got in. I heard one guy saying loudly to someone in his group "... McDonald's is down the street..." I should have taken that as a warning. Food is like the $6 burger I get from the cafeteria I work... and I work at a hospital! So... yah. I think that says a lot. When you pay for a $14+ burger and it is COMPARABLE to the $6 burger I get from a cafeteria, that is not good.. I think Reds need to step up their game if I am comparing their gourmet burger to our hospital cafeteria burger. Mac and cheese is their specialty? Really? I could have just had those $1 Kraft Mac and Cheese. Nothing Special. I'm glad I do not live in Sedona, AZ to see this place as one of my options when I feel like a hamburger. Pricey because it is NOT WORTH IT. Skip this place if you are hiking in the Sedona trails.

Bad food and Bad service! Never asked one time "How is or was your food" My steak was a SELECT grade at best! tough and horrible! My daughters pizza was so bad she took one bite and said I am done. I called for a manager the next day to tell them how bad the food was and he basically blew me off! This was one of our favorite places in Sedona to eat 2 years ago but has rapidly went down hill.

So after reading some of the reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I've eaten at many places in Sedona (family here), and many have overpriced mediocre food. While Reds is not cheap, what I got for the price was very good. I also got a stiff drink (happy!). My dish was very well prepared, the service was good (I had the blond bartender--surprise! you smile, she smiles back! she was lovely) and the ambiance was sophisticated for Sedona. If you're in Sedona and you've had enough of cowboy boots and statues of stallions, come to Reds.

A bad experience. The food was pricey (but good overall). The service was mediocre (waiter disappeared for long stretches of time) and the singer who warbled pop hits from the 70s while playing an electric piano was annoying. The worse part was that they triple charged my Visa, which took several days get cleared up and limited my spending during the trip. There are better options in Sedona.

Arrived at Red's for a wedding reception was told they informed me if I used the parking lot they would tow my car. A third class operation. I was told to costs the street and park in the Safeway grocery parking. The reason is that the Phoenix Coyotes hockey team will have priority over a wedding reception. Again a third rate operation. Never drop a dime in this low rent establishment. Sedona has many more places that will accept your money and deliver a first class experience

I was a little suspicious of this outing for a couple reasons, not the least that hotel-attached restaurants can change overnight when a manager or chef tells somebody to CRAM it. AND we were with a large group of twenty plus it wasn't a restaurant that we had picked or planned on eating at. But we were pleasantly surprised, our Yoga group leader was smart enough to know that they had a bar small plate menu and we asked and got enough to pass around. Surprisingly varied choices and we went with a really good small Asian glazed rib plate and Butternut Squash Ravioli that was very flavorful and enough for us with a large mixed veggie salad. Interesting better than average by the glass wine choices and the tall draft beers looked fantastic. They did a great job of serving our large group as well as keeping track of couple's separate checks. Stick with the bar menu and have a drink. Big open kitchen, warmly REDish decorated and could maybe become romantic with another drink. Try it.

I went to the fall festival event in Camp Verde and it was time to eat. 3 kids, 5 and under and my daughter and myself are vegetarians. It began to look like we were going to be leaving to go eat and then we came upon the REDS booth. The menu had meat and we sadly were about to continue on our search when the chef Ron, offered to make us bean and cheese burritos. Saved. The rice was delicious and the burritos were great too. I recommend the food, esp since it would probably even be better when they had their kitchen and their customer service. I really appreciate the extra mile. They could have just let us walk away and the day would have been shot. (We drove up from Phoenix). but they stepped up and made the food we needed. Thanks REDS team! Our whole group appreciated it! Next I'm in Sedona I will be stopping here!

We ended up here for New Years Eve as our restaurant of choice was closed due to inclement weather. We had to sit in the bar area because the hostess informed us that they were totally booked up for the evening. Even though we were there early and no one was sitting in the dining room, we made our way to a community table and settled in. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and we really didn't mind not sitting in the dining room. Our waitress was very friendly and tried to be as attentive as possible, but it was difficult for her as she had a bar full of other diners to care for. We ordered two chicken dishes, Parmesan Crusted and Mushroom & Spinach stuffed chicken breasts. The food was average at best. Very disappointing as the prices were not cheap. When we left, the dining room still was not full and we left wondering why the hostess, who was not at all friendly when we arrived, could not have sat us in there. We also thought it would have made sense to move a waiter from the dining room to the bar area to help out as the bar area was much busier than the dining room. We don't plan to eat here again and would not recommend it based on the poor quality of the food, the high prices, and the rudeness of the hostess.

We had dinner here and sat in the bar and everything was delicious as well as we got to listen to live music!

Unfortunately we thought the food here was really poor quality for the price. My Sliders were frozen burger and basic buns from a package. NOT Good. Our meal was $150 (including 1 bottle of wine) and we were beyond disappointed. I say find a different place to spend that kind of money.

For me is 90% about the food, 10% service, ambiance, price etc. I had the seared Ahi tuna and it was amazing! Probably the best ahi tuna I've had. My girlfriend got the scallops and they were also delicious. I can't remember what the sides/ "fixins" were with the meals but they were very good. This place also had good atmosphere, good service, and reasonable prices. There's a lot to choose from in Sedona but this one is worth a visit.

Had a delightful meal this evening. Very pleasant decor Greeted warmly and seated promptly. Wonderful wine selection by the glass (except the AZ red). Paula served us with professionalism and appropriate charm. Described specials and listed prices. We ordered a shared arugula and spinach salad. Perfecto. Whole wheat warm rolls served with olive oil & pepper dressing. Entrees were trio seafood and scallops. Both dishes were prepared and presented in a perfect way. Portion sizes were perfect but we had no room for desserts. Overall very satisfactory experience. Paula made the event special with attentive well timed serving. Great value for what we enjoyed. One negative- some one had a dog with them in restaurant. Love animals but please not in a restaurant. We may visit again before we leave Sedona.

We stayed at the Sedona Rouge, so came here a few times. It really was not very good. All nine of us came down and had breakfast, and the items sounded good, but they didn't taste very good. Service was not great, either. The hostess who sat us seemed completely dazed and confused. They took our drink orders, but then never brought the drinks. I ended up getting my own tea from the self-serve dispenser. Tried some small plates in the afternoon, and again, the food was just ok (humous, sliders, etc). The best was probably the ahi, which came on a nice slaw. If you're staying here, it's convenient, but I think they need to work on quality and service.

Attached to the Sedona Rouge, this place had an unexpected charm and goodness I wasn't expecting. The Reds doubles as a restaurant by day and lounge/bar with entertainment by night. I have to say, I was impressed. The staff and the drinks were very well made and generous portions and for a hotel, quite moderately priced. The food during the day (we got breakfast and lunch) wasn't bad either. Breakfast, I got the french toast and quite honestly some of the best french toast ever. My bf got a regular breakfast with eggs and hashbrowns, and while nothing to write home about, it wasn't bad either. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, it's worth it due to convenience and less steep Sedona prices, especially for a quicky. ;)

AVOID!! That is unless you're into small overpriced portions and slooooow service from blond haired bartender that would rather slit her own wrists than be behind the bar at your service....and worst part was my wife and I paid to stay in a spa suite at the hotel! :(

NOT impressed. We stayed at the hotel and thought it would be a decent meal. WRONG. The dishes that were at the table were dirty. the cream we got for our coffee had floaters in it and the fruit bowl was old and gross. Don't waste your money, go somewhere else!

Second time dining at Reds in a couple years and it was fantastic! Reds house salad is really nice ... lots of nice chunks of feta and a good size, too. The mushroom bruschetta is out of this world good. The scallop tacos ... delicious. This is definitely one of our favorite Sedona dining spots now.

This is a review on REDS as caterers... REDS catered my wedding and everyone was truly impressed. I was told over and over that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding and to top it all off they catered off site at a park. The Fillet Mignon was cooked perfectly and the fish was perfectly seasoned. Further more the service was top notch. I greatly appreciate the job they did and would highly recommend them as caterers for any event where you want to impress your guests.

This restaurant was located in the hotel we were staying in. In short, this place rocks! I'd only recommend it for breakfast and lunch if you're watching your wallet, but either way the food is great! The service is awesome too! As a side-note, the drinks are a little on the expensive side anytime of day. My brother got a jonnywalker on the rocks, and yada yada(I don't know drinks too well), and it was $13. So, I'd just recommend it for the food and service! Highly recommended! By the way, the restaurant looks great inside and out and is very well kept and clean.

Was here for a Sedona Pride Thursday evening get together and had a fabUlous time. The salmon appy (recommended by the waiter) was moist and flavorful. The live music was perfectly unobtrusive background music. Thanks for a wonderful time!

We stayed at the Sedona Rouge and received a voucher for one small plate. We opted for dinner here one night. We sat at the high tables close to the bar to enjoy the 'lounge area'. The live music was great. The food and drinks were okay and the atmosphere was slim to none. My cucumber cooler wasn't my favorite, but my husband's dark and stormy was just fine. If you're staying at the hotel, I'd recommend this for pre/post dinner drinks only.

Our experience for 3 days - Amazing food at an amazing price. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Reds at different times over the 3 day stay and were never disappointed. We were further amazed how Reds can put forth such quality, superb flavors and great wine at such an amazing price. Highly recommend it to anyone in Sedona looking for a hearty and well prepared meal. Oh and did I mention the generous poors?

Dined at Reds last summer while staying in Sedona for the night. It felt a little "diner"-ish and definitely felt like a hotel restaurant. The food was 4 stars, service 3, and atmosphere a solid 3. It was a Saturday night and we felt like we were being rushed out of there..and it was only 9-something. I guess Sedona shuts down early. I would dine at Reds again, even if just for drinks and appetizers.

I'm not so sure how to really rate this place, but I came here with my friends because we had vouchers for Sedona Rouge, Spa Resort which included a $20 certificate to Reds. We dined in during lunch on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. The service was good, but the food was just...well...ordinary. The presentation was lovely, but it almost seems like a tease. The Mac n Cheese had a bright red chili on the side, but the flavor wasn't anything thrilling. The Raspberry Chipotle Chicken Strips seemed like pieces of chicken that was covered in sauce. The Grilled Rosemary Chicken Breast which sounds so good, was missing the "pow-wow" flavor in their spice; however, the toasted bread with the sandwich was absolutely flavorful. Other than that...I wouldn't really recommend it. Sorry.

Stopped here driving through Sedona for a quick bite to eat, the place has a cozy ambiance with a enjoyable 2 piece jazz band playing some live music. Ate at the bar off the small plates menu, our food was prepared well and came out quickly. Had the artichoke crab dip, which although lacking in crab was quite tasty. The scallops were cooked to perfection as well as the pan seared tuna.

Food pretty decent (small plates) and nice wines by the glass. However, service was slow and not very attentive. They seemed way understaffed. I think the restaurant is more up-scale casual than fine-dining. I also found it odd that only the bar and not the restaurant was open on a weekend evening.

I've been here for Breakfast 3x and Drinks once - fan of the bfast - drinks - ehh...too much organic, not enough decent pour for me - so let's focus on the happy of bfast! Simple menu with great basics with twists - the boytoy loved the Eggs Benedict with black beans and this gringa can't spell - chilakilas? - I had the usual eggs, and toast and sliced tomatos - with a side of pancakes - with REAL Maple syrup - yummm I already heart the Sedona Rouge - so Reds kinda gets a spot by default -

Red's is a great place to go for dinner in the restaurant or the bar. We especially love the bar menu. My husband likes the hamburger and the quesadilla. I love the Red's salad with either chicken or salmon and the salmon on whipped potatoes but get vegis in place of the potatoes. They have THE most amazing onion rings that are not on the menu but they will make them for you if you ask. Dyanna and Val are THE BEST bar tenders and Chef Ron and Chef Andrew are great too. They have good music on Wednesdays and Friday and Saturday nights. Red's is our local FAVORITE!!!!

Went to Red's for a Christmas dinner after arriving earlier in the afternoon. Sedona is breathtaking but Red took my breath away -- and not in a good way. We ordered off of the Christmas menu. The menus looked fantastic. I ordered the a green salad, mahi-mahi and a poached pear desert. My husband ordered a soup, smoked prime rib, and also the poached pear desert. Here's how menu fared: The bread was tasteless and mealy. -My salad was okay. -My mahi-mahi was average, served on a bed of pineapple risotto - so-so. -The poached pear dessert was sad. The pear was not poached. Not close. I was given a spoon but could not use it-- except as a fork along with a knife I found on the table. The pear was still raw, and stuffed with tasteless mascarpone cheese. My husband's choices were worse: - The clam chowder was fair, but not really a chowder - just a cream soup with some small chunks of tasteless somethings. - The "smoked" prime rib had a lot of gristle and was very tough. The cut of meat may have been prime rib but the meat was so bad, my husband ended up boxing the prime rib for our dog-- who has less discretion and larger teeth. - The prime rib was served with a mashed and fried potato thing. The underside was burnt. It appeared the potatoes were cooked in advance then slapped onto a griddle. I tasted it - the potatoes were very gummy -- from over-beating no doubt. - The poached pear dessert, well the same as mine. The lack of poaching was no accident. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. The place has a nice ambiance but service was rushed and perfunctory, as if the bus boys were given the job of waiting on customers. Drinks arrived after the soup/salad course. My husband received no sugar with his coffee. Reds has no business selling a Christmas dinner unless they can assemble the team able to cook it on Christmas day, which apparently they cannot. Four thumbs down.

We dined here because we had $30 breakfast certificates as part of a hotel promotion. For 2 people, $30 for breakfast really goes a long way. One day we ordered enough that we took one of the orders to go and had it for lunch. The food is competent, though nothing spectacular. Among the things we tried were the omelets, the lox and bagel, fruit plate, and tofu scramble. All were decent. It's not a place to go out of your way to eat at, but their breakfast is decent and not expensive for a hotel (most entrees were $7 to $10) which I found quite inexpensive for a boutique spa hotel.

We came here for their New Year's Eve dinner and 'party'. There weren't a lot of choices in Sedona for that night, so this seemed like the best option considering. It wasn't a super happening event, but we didn't expect it to be since Sedona is a pretty sleepy town at night. So I'll stick to just the food/service review: The food was fair to average at best. - the bread that they brought to the table was essentially a stale hamburger bun. (I'm not joking it looked and tasted like a hamburger bun) - the mushroom soup was unremarkable - the fish (bass) was nicely prepared and enjoyable, but my girlfriend's meal was dry - the desserts were mediocre at best, favoring just using lots of sugar over any real flavor - the presentation seemed like it was a student learning how to plate And for the service: our server was very friendly, but seemed clueless and inexperienced. And forgive me if this seems like too critical of a review, but Reds seems to bill itself as 'fine dining', which it definitely is not. If it lowered it's prices and called itself a casual restaurant, it would better match it's food and service.

Spent a week in Sedona. Absolutely gorgeous there. Saw Reds Restaurant on Yelp, decided to stop on the spur of the moment for dinner as we drove by in the pouring rain. Wish we wouldn't have. Service and food are both just so-so (some of it downright bad). For a party of three we could have done much better with $100+ (no drinks). Menu is also misleading. Since it was so cold and rainy, two in our party wanted to start dinner with a hot bowl of chili listed as an appetizer on their menu. It isn't chili. It's tortilla soup. And when you ask about it, they tell you it's chili. Trust me, it's not chili. And the Mushroom Bruschetta. In a word -- GROSS!!!!!!! It looks like some kind of diseased internal organ and tastes even worse than it looks. Oh, and if it's cold and rainy...beware when going to the restroom. It looks like you are opening a door leading to the restrooms, but you are actually GOING OUTSIDE to get to the restrooms! And the piano bar...if you want to call it that...a guy playing a keyboard! Sigh...don't waste your time and money.

I had dinner here with my Dad. It was not very crowded, and I got a reservation easily on OpenTable.com . One thing that stood out to me was the menu. They not only offered a full dinner menu, but also a bar menu which was more like tapas. These small plates are perfect to order a few. The wine menu was extensive and reasonably priced. I ordered the small plate of Salmon, which came with homemade mashed potatoes. I also ordered a Caesar salad which was good, but it is really hard to mess one of those up. I complimented my meal with a nice glass of wine. They had a small jazz band playing, and sports on the television in the bar. This was a good restaurant, I won't call it great. Not quite special, ya know?

Breakfast at Reds is wonderful. A great selection at very reasonable prices and the coffee is the best ever! My husband had the Bagel and Lox breakfast and is still raving about it. He had such a generous portion of lox and lots of capers and cream cheese. The best he's ever eaten. I opted for the Jalepeno French Toast just to be different. It was very unusual and tasty and very Arizona. The morning prior we both had the All America breakfast and you can't get that kind of breakfast anywhere for that price. Definitely the best breakfast place in Sedona. The wait staff is very attentive also.

What a great restaurant! We ate bkfst, lunch and dinner here. Every meal was 5 stars and DELICIOUS!! the executive Chef, Ron Moler got around and talked to everyone. The food was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful! I had the special, Escolar on a bed of butternut squash risotto...it was AWESOME! Can't wait to stay the resort again and eat at REDS!!

Stopped for lunch, place was empty should have been our first clue. Reds is connected to the Sedona Rouge Hotel, atmosphere is nice and the service is quick. The food is very average, nothing spectacular, not worth the resort prices.

We went to Reds for dinner and breakfast during our stay at the Rouge. For dinner we had macadamia nut crusted Halibut with tempura vegetables. The fish was seriously the best fish we've ever had. It was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. Breakfast wasn't as good as dinner, but it was still good. The service and atmosphere were also nice. We'll definitely be back!

We're usually too cheap to pay $30 for an entree (but not, apparently, $300 a night), so we only had breakfast there. The omelet was pretty good, and how can you go wrong with Belgian waffles? Service was great both times we ate there: attentive without being hovering. Maybe because it was super early, and we were the only ones there besides the servers and cooks. Yet, 9 p.m. is way too early to close!! Even for people who are still on EST and had breakfast at 6 that morning. . .

I would give 3.5 - great deals if you are staying at Sedona Rouge (free app and $5 wine 4-6p should not be missed). Mussel and chorizo small plate was delicious! My husband had shrimp scampi - it was cooked well but had no flavor at all. Literally bland. I had the braised pork ribs with risotto and I thought it was delicious. Staff was friendly and gave us a free dessert for our anniversary that was tasty. Tomorrow night we'll sit at bar and get a bunch of small plates.

This restaurant is in the hotel "Sedona Rouge" where we stayed at. While the hotel is very nice, the REDS restaurant is so so. The decor is pretty, but the food is average and it's overpriced. I had a carmalized scallop which was pretty good, although one of the scallop tasted fishy and overcooked. My husband however, had a pan seared salmon that they cooked only half way (that's the way they cook it). He did not like it and felt the salmon was very fishy. We also ordered a scallop taco appetizer, it was ok, a bit on the salty side. We certainly won't eat here again. If you are in Sedona, should also check out Dahl & DiLuca Restorante Italiano, it's one of the best italian restaurants we've been too, great service too!
