I am surprised to see a few negative reviews. Each time we come to Sedona we eat at the Junipine. We love the patio setting, weather permitting. What's not to love about Oak Creek Canyon. This time we had a turkey sandwich on homemade cranberry/nut bread with cranberry relish/sauce. It was delicious. And the corn chowder was one of the best I have had. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. It was nearing 2PM so it wasn't busy.

Food was very mediocre. Service was almost non existent, and it was pretty slow the afternoon we were there. Very pricey for the quality of the food. Won't be rushing back, too many other nice places to eat at in the area.

This cafe was next to our rental so we traded it for breakfast our first morning; we are glad that we did! It was excellent. The bacon was fabulous! We all had a different dusk and all were delighted! I have two picky kids! Now, we went out and about in Sedona for the day and came back tired. It started to rain so we decided to have dinner there as well. It was a but crowed as I think everyone else had the same idea. It is a small cafe with limited staff so we expected it to take awhile and it did take awhile but it was so worth the wait! I had a burger as did my husband and both agreed it was excellent. My son had pulled pork sliders and raved about them! Now, miss pricey herself my daughter ordered the smothered chicken and garlic mashed potatoes: it was the hit of the night! She loved the dish and we all had a taste and agreed it was great! If you expect fast food, don't dine here; if you want freshly prepared scrumptious food, eat here when in the area! The service was friendly and they all were hustling and doing the best they could do with a small kitchen and staff. Only open Wednesday through Saturday! Beware of the hours.

Came in yesterday and had a seat at the bar, order a Bloody Mary which was probably one of the best I've had in a while and it came with bacon but not just any bacon... This was a thick cut maple bacon and is to die for!!! *drool* Definitely will be stopping by every time I'm in town and highly recommend to everyone!

What happened to the old menu?! My Husband and I have been coming here for over seven years. I know that they have gone through different owners and changes but this is so disappointing! We brought our children with us this last time we came and went to dinner. We were all disappointed in the food selection. What's the deal with the kids menu? The choices were so few and not healthy. Why would you add Mahi Mahi. It was clearly frozen, not fresh. It had a bad taste and the texture proved it to be frozen. My Husband went to order his usual, the blackened salmon, and they didn't have it anymore. Can you please bring back some old items and have more salads and vegetarian dishes? We love the Junipine and there is no where else to eat around there. I don't want to have to cook on vacation. So frustrating!

We stopped at the Junipine Cafe on our way from Flagstaff to Sedona. We have stayed there in previous years and eaten at the cafe. The location is convenient and the parking is good. We asked for a table on the patio, as it was a lovely day and only a few tables were taken. Shortly after our arrival, three 'regulars' came in and were seated at the table near us. The head waitress, who was not so excited about seeing/serving us (retirees), was rather enthusiastic about the regulars. They were loud and vulgar with a vocabulary stuck on the 'f' word. I couldn't believe it! What a shame! As you may know, the room rates are high at Junipine. It would be nice, if one could relax instead of having to listen to trash talk. I hope the owners read this.

The food is okay, but the service was terrible. I was pretty much ignored by the server the whole time. The bartender ended up getting me drinks and asking if I needed anything. There were two other occupied tables and me that day. The server seemed to have given his undivided attention to the other two tables but was too busy to help a table for one? I'd give them a one star review but the bartender was nice and saw what was happening. Needless to say I gave the bartender a tip and not the server.

Recently renamed The Table, this long-time favorite has updated decor and a varied menu that will suit every preference. Outdoor seating is shady and scenic, and the indoor dining room has a see-through floor-to-ceiling fireplace. Lovely. The staff, managed by Steve, is friendly and professional. Our fish dinner included perfectly cooked fresh trout with rice and veggie sides. We started with the hummus platter, which was nicely spiced, and regretted that we were too full for dessert. Neighboring tables had moist chocolate cake topped with ice cream and whipped cream. Next time.

One of our favorite places to eat in Sedona because of its up canyon location and casual vibe. Been going there for 15+ years and, frankly, it was getting a little threadbare. Recently renovated to very good effect. The menu has been upgraded as well. Still limited but nothing disappoints. The side salads were especially good - fresh, nicely garnished and well presented. Wife's prawns were first rate. My rib eye steak was average. Good wine list, good deserts, great meal!

Great location, but cafe service stinks! There ARE good servers that work here, and I don't mean to denigrate them. However, if you get a heavy set female server - RUN AWAY! She is the most WORTHLESS employee ever! Obviously does not care one bit about serving customers. We sat there and watched while she conversed with a friend for a good half hour while people stacked up, waiting to be seated, waiting for drinks....WAITING!!! Several got disgusted and left - all because of this woman. Can you blame them? I expect exemplary service in a place like Sedona. You sure WON'T get it from Ms. Heavyset! RUN AWAY!!!

Today my friends and I branched out from having the usual lunch in the more touristy part of Sedona by stopping by the Junipine after our hike in nearby West Fork Oak Creek. We were so glad we did, and I'm sure we'll be back there next time we're out that way. The Junipine is a super cute cabin-like resort off the highway. It has fairly big patio that's surrounded by trees. Today was a particularly nice, breezy day in Sedona, so we very much enjoyed soaking in more of the great weather and atmosphere on the patio. The menu is pretty basic, with the typical burger and sandwich staples, and a few other dishes like grilled trout and fish tacos. We ordered some burgers and chicken sandwiches, which all came out pretty fast and looked and tasted good. The food was nothing out of the ordinary, but what we liked about the place was that it was reasonably priced, and that the atmosphere was chill. It's nothing like trying to grab a bite to eat in the heart of the touristy part of Sedona, where I've yet to have a good meal in all these years of going there. Overall, if you're in the area and want a bite to eat after having some fun in West Fork or Slide Rock, there's no better place to sit back and enjoy have a chill afternoon.

We spent the weekend at the Junipine Resort (which is awesome!) and we were a little apprehensive about eating at the cafe after reading yelp reviews prior to our stay. We had breakfast on their patio on Sunday morning before we departed, and we were pleasantly surprised - it was wonderful! The service was great and the food was delicious, plus it was a beautiful morning to eat on a patio! A really nice experience, and we'll definitely be back if we're ever in the area again. Give it a try. Although our service was quick, don't be impatient if they're a bit busy and they don't get to you as quickly as you might expect in a big city (herd 'em in and herd 'em out) restaurant. It's a mountain getaway, after all. Slow down and smell the roses....or the beautiful mountain air, as it were.

Everything was very good. My wife's breakfast was really good, as was mine. I would rank their pancakes at the Cracker Barrel level, which is decent. I saw the reviews about poor service though and I can agree with them. Although we were seated without any problems, even with the restaurant not being busy, it took 45 minutes just to get our breakfast. I did overhear a waitress mentioning that the cooks were cooking room service calls. I think this is probably why the service and the cooks are so slow. They are simply over extended. This must be especially true during the summer months (which is the time we went). I would give them a 3.5 stars because of the slow service but I rounded up. IN SUMMARY: The scenery is fantastic. If you have time for a slow morning and want a good breakfast in Sedona, I would recommend you to go here.

Soulless cafe surrounded by beautiful forest. It might be worth it to have a drink on their patio, but there are much better food choices in Sedona.

Had dinner here. They served my dinner partner a fresh trout with almonds that was very good and the burger I had was fine. We were disappointed when they had fresh smoked trout on the menu but none available. The service was competent and the food arrived quickly.

Stopped by for lunch. Waited several minutes to be seated as the line behind us grew. They seemed to only have two very overworked servers. They were out of two lunch specials, out of pretzel rolls for the ham sandwich and out of knives. Pretty place though and attached to a really outstanding resort.

After hiking around Bell Rock in Sedona the Junipine Cafe on HWY 89 hit the spot for lunch on the patio with a cold Oak Creek Amber Ale. Instead of my usual (smoked trout appetizer w capers ) I opted for the catch of the day - fresh Mahi-mahi with a crisp salad. No special sauces on the Mahi to spoil the flavor - just simply grilled. The portion size was adequate for lunch and was high quality & very flavorful with a small amount of fresh tartar sauce. The salad was excellent and I licked the platter clean (see before photo on Junipine site). The patio faces HWY 89 so one can see and hear the occasional car / bus every so often. The attractive forest setting with plantings help plus one can ignore the cars with a second amber brew. If only the view overlooked the nearby creek... I have never stayed at the Junipine Resort but it looks and feels very attractive next to Oak Creek with the coolness of the trees and sounds of the creek. Maybe sometime in the not too distant future?

Whoa - I wish I could give this place a negative star - I'm not sure that I've ever had a worse experience. My mother, a woman over 65 with arthritis of the spine, and I arrived here for lunch around 1:30pm. There were ample available tables on the, admittedly, lovely patio yet we stood . . . and we stood whilst three servers bustled about taking no notice of us. I grew weary of this and approached one of the servers to ask if we might seat ourselves in one of the many open tables. He curtly replied, "Annette is the hostess. She'll seat you." I was ready to leave but my mother was tired and hungry so we stood . . and we stood. At long last! eureka, we're saved . . Annette approached us . . "I'll seat you in a moment". She walked away. She, and two other servers, proceeded to clean off two more tables while we looked on - parched and fatigued travelers in the desert. This was too much. I was ready to leave. But my mother wished to speak to a manager. Alas . . Annette approached and let us know that she was the manager. She then nearly threatened my mother by announcing that, "This is not the day to set me off!". I wanted to leave and so did my mother so we did. Seriously, I've had poor service once or twice but this was traumatic.

Outstanding service. Had Sunday breakfast on the patio and it was truly special. Between the two of us we sampled almost everything--coffee, waffles, eggs, bacon, hash browns and french toast. Everything was excellent.

Good breakfast after a long hike! As far as eggs and toast go, it was kinda pricey, but everything was good, and the service was awesome. They make their hashbrowns FRESH, and they were the best thing my family and I ordered. Cute little place worth it if you don't mind paying ten bucks.
