With a friend visiting from Tucson, and all the Sedona restaurants overbooked, Belle Vita was an attractive option. Newly opened, they were able to reserve for us a table at the preferred time. Quickly delivered, light and crispy calamari, rich and brothy spinach soup and surprising large specialty salads, accompanied with glasses of merlot, were the perfect light fare for us that night. The rich fragrance of a real Italian cucina wafted throughout the warm amber-lit dining room, enhancing our senses; and the food- though simple-was flavor-packed and wonderful. We will happily return to try some of the tempting entrees very soon. Thank you, Belle Vita, you make a wonderful new addition to Sedona dining! Service was excellent, prices reasonable, and the gracious, warmth of owner and master epicurean, Andrea DiLucca, remarkable--as always! -Lane Badger/Sedona

We ate at Bella Vita twice during our stay in Sedona. The food and the ambiance are great. The staff was friendly and when one order was not done properly, they promptly comped us with additional items while we waited for the dish we ordered. We enjoyed both visits and know they will develop to be the best in Sedona!

I was really excited to learn Andrea DiLuca was back in town from Italy and opening a new restaurant. I wanted something special for my birthday so I made a reservation for 8 of us for a Sunday evening. The day before (I think?) my reservation, someone called me to confirm. When we arrived, we were sat at a big table in the dining room and our server, Courtney and her crew were right on it, getting us water and taking our drink orders. We had two amazing focaccias as appetizers, along with other bread and olive oil with spices for dipping. My friend's Pappardelle Funghi was rich, yet delicate; my Pollo Limone tender, creamy with the perfect slight bite of the lemon and capers; my partner's Filet di Manzo cooked a perfect medium. Everything was flavorful and fresh. Did I mention they make all their pastas and breads fresh in house? I don't know of any other restaurants in the area that makes all of their pasta fresh. Every one of the 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals from appetizers through desserts - that's unusual. Usually at least one of a party of 8 would have a complaint about at least one thing about their meal, but all of us were completely happy. Chef Beto came out to visit with us to make sure everyone was enjoying our meals. It is obvious he loves what he does! Just want to thank Chef Beto, Pastry Chef Jeffrey, Courtney, and the rest of the crew for making my birthday dinner so special! They're tucked away in the Sedona Pines Resort and I heard they will be putting in an outdoor patio soon which will make it one of the few places in town that has outdoor seating that isn't right next to the road. I also appreciated the fact that there is no TV - it seems even the upscale restaurants are all putting TVs in their dining rooms which ruins the ambiance for me.

Awesome food. Great service and atmosphere. We really were surprised about how amazing it was.

Great dinner with old world decor, Andrea Diluca The Chef / owner stopped by our table very nice touch , our server Alan was spot on. The calamari was the best I have ever had, and then we had the special home made spinach pasta with very large shrimp and crab meat in a champagne sauce then finished up with a flourless chocolate Cake so rich ! Once again great dinner !

Amazing!!! Sat down immediately, service was great (thanks Gail!), food was beautiful and delicious. Great desert too! I had the Saffron seafood pasta special and my husband had the Bisteca (steak I think it was a ribeye) then we had the flourless chocolate cake and NY Cheesecake for desert. Abbiance was great!

For people used to Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill, Bella Vita is a step up. But the food lacks distinction, both in preparation --it lacks the second and third tastes that a mouthful should provide -- and in presentation, looking more Buca Di Beppo's "servings by volume" approach. The lack of acoustics increase the noise noticeably and transform fine dining into fast food (three tables that arrived after we did left 10-15 minutes before us). Little things like a bowl for mussels shells and shrimp tails were missing, the server never offered to pour or refill the wine, and an inability to pronounce Italian words all seemed to make the place seem like a good idea poorly executed..

We are staying at the resort and decided to give it a try after a local recommended it to us. The food was excellent. Had the filet and the prawns which were cooked perfectly. The filet was so tender and all if it rated subtle and flavorful. The Cesar was home made dressing and I found 2 real anchovies that I have never had. The owner came over and was do nice snd genuine. I loved it and will come back.

Really good food! Great ambiance. Exceptionally pleasant and attentive wait staff. Nice location off Sedona's well-worn tourist path. The Early Bird Special from 4 pm to 5 pm is an awesome deal at a price that seems low by any standard, but is rare for an upscale restaurant like Bella Vita. This is a wonderful new addition to Sedona and a place where we and our friends will be enjoying many a meal in the future.

Last night three of us local residents decided to check out Bella Vita Ristorante: ambiance was lovely, servers were most efficient, and tasting each scrumptious bite - from 5 menu items - brought back our best memories from our many trips to Italy. The calamari and capellini, both with (not too) spicy marinara were my favorites, could not be improved upon...ENJOY!

  • Rachel G.

What a great dining experience. The decor is elegant and gave a peaceful relaxed feeling. We were seated immediately and told about the specials for the evening. I had the beefsteak off the dinner menu while other members of the table ordered scallops and pasta dishes. Everything looked delicious and everyone said their food was sublime. Our orders were brought out quickly especially considered that the restaurant had a number of other parties. The owner even stopped by our table to ask how everything was. It really was the perfect evening out.

We were referred to this spot by the barkeep at Vino de Sedona (also good place to visit). We were not disappointed. Our pasta dishes were amazing! Pasta is made fresh on site and was excellent. The bartender also makes a very good martini! We wish we had discovered this place earlier in our trip - we would have gone back for sure! Will definitely visit again on our next Sedona visit.

The food was great, and not super-high priced. They were able to accommodate our gluten allergy, but had no specific gluten-free menu or menu items. The staff was very friendly and professional, and the chef and manager came out to greet us. The staff was very knowledgeable about Celiac's disease, and quickly suggested adjustments to our menu choice to avoid gluten. We'll definitely be back!

The restaurant has only been open a few weeks so there was expectedly a few hiccups but they definitely have the ingredients for a great restaurant. Food was delicious and fresh. Decor is lovely - warm and inviting. We will definitely return.

Excellent calamari!!! I totally recommend this restaurant if you want authentic Italian food while visiting Sedona. The restaurant is off the beaten path, but it is so worth the drive. The wait staff is very friendly and quite attentive. The owner is very friendly and he visits and talks with each table. A must if you live in Sedona or if you are visiting Sedona.

This place is Awesome, food is wonderful and they have early bird special for $10.95 and it's plenty. They make good drinks too. You won't be disappointed .

  • Rich J.

The food was excellent and we thought overpriced. Service leaves much to be desired and that's because they have only been open 4 weeks. We would give them another chance to prove themselves.

This isn't just the best Italian restaurants in Sedona, this is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to anywhere across the country. The PAPPARDELLE FUNGHI which is a pasta with assorted wild mushrooms in a light champagne, truffle, shallot cream sauce is unbelievably good. Uniquely good. Special. It's the kind of food that you'll remember and look forward to eating again and again. The staff is great, the wine list has something for everyone, and the prices are very reasonable. If you're visiting Sedona don't miss Bella Vita.

  • Lynn S.

Amazing . It's delicious. My pappardelle was made in-house. Excellent wine and cocktails. Fresh , fresh, fresh food. Did I mention it's fresh? You will NOT be disappointed. Unbelievable. And the ambiance is exceptional.

  • Jenni G.

Delicious food. Location is worth seeking out. We had the Cesar salad, pappardelle fungi and pollo limone. All fresh and tasty. Both pasta and focaccia made in house. Kids enjoyed their meals and were adult size portions of real food! We are locals in Sedona amidst a lot of terrible tourist driven restaurants. Hoping this place survives. Well worth the high price point and going 5 minutes away from Sedona. Too bad they don't offer local discount! It would enable us to come more often.

  • David M.

Very impressed. Only open 2 weeks and our Saturday meal was flawless. Probably the best Italian food in Sedona. Look forward to going back many times. David M. Sedona

We visited this Italian restaurant last night. We had the early bird specials, which were reasonably priced. The food was great, as well as the service and decor. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here, and plan on returning soon. If you love Italian food, you will love this restaurant.

    (5)
  • Thomas S.

Well, I will say that our food was excellent. However, the staff does not quite have it together, yet. They try hard, but they are not versed in Italian food. And the price is the same as high end places in Sedona. So, I would not call it classy. It has a ways to go to catch up with Dahl and Di Luca.

    (3)
  • Judy B.

Great food in a pleasant environment. Three of us enjoyed Caesar Salad, Linguine Carbonara, Pappardelle Funghi and Vitella con Capperi. Each was well prepared and delicious. We were served the incorrect entree twice which resulted in quite a delay in getting our dinner. We waited patiently and didn't express annoyance. But in retrospect, we are disappointed that there was no effort to compensate by offering a free glass of wine or dessert. Our waiter did apologize, but with so many other terrific restaurants in Sedona, this restaurant needs to improve customer service and service recovery if it intends to compete with the rest.

  • Mel S.

A hidden gem with real good Italian food just next to Sedona Pines and 6 miles away fron the busy Sedona Town. This place is for sure a foodie needs to discover and enjoy. It is very cozy to take your date, family or friends to enjoy a great Italian cuisine. Prices are reasonable but every single of penny is woth it. During our visit, we were seated right away and Daniel was our server. He has an amazing customer service and very attentive to customer,s needs. Everything served on our table were excellent. We started off with their free bread with olive oil basil dip. While waiting for our tortillini and linguini we were given a complimentary bruchetta. The pasta sauce are just perfect not too salty or too creamy. The linguini had tons of freash not canned clams. We finished off with an excellent dessert too, cheese cake and cannoli! It Anyone who visit Bella Vita should try their own version of desserts. I have never tried cannoli perfectly made and sugar is not overpowering. Best partner with a free coffee in the end. Bella Vita has more to offer. We wished we discovered the place the first night we were in Sedona as for sure we will return to try more food on the menu. A plus they also have a bar offering different wine, matinis and many to mention. Bella Vita will definitely be one of our top list for a date night next time we visit Sedona!

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
