Loved this place! The rooms really are as lovely as they appear on the website, and even though the place was full the weekend we visited, we felt like we were the only ones there. The view from our patio was spectacular and we spent both early evenings there on the patio, taking in the view with a bottle of wine. Breakfast is served from 830-10 am and shouldn't be missed.

my stay here was my graduation gift from high school and it was fantastic. The owners are soooo nice and the place is beautiful. The pool overlooks the mountain, the rooms are cozy, and it is located near everything. I have been wanting to come back every year since! Oh and the breakfast was really good. When I was there they had a chef preparing the breakfast entree of the day or if the option doesnt suit your fancy you can always have the standard continental stuff that is provided. If you stay here you must try the pizano's pizzaria that is near by, MMMmmmm so yummy!

My mother and I are on a trip to the Grand Canyon and wanted to stop in Sedona to break up the drive. I found A Sunset Chateau online. They are not cheap but I wanted a good experience for my Mom. They were efficient and friendly with the reservation and again when I called to extend by a day. The experience continued when we arrived with a warm greeting and lots of helpful info. I was slightly worried that their website over-stated things - but it doesn't! Lovely first-class rooms, well landscaped with beautiful views, fun art and decor throughout the property, conveniently located, and providing a DELICIOUS breakfast. It is not cheap but it is a great place to stay if you can afford it.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION: 04/22/15-? Don't plan on being here 7am-4:45pm because the noise is unreal. With only 23 Rooms and Rooms 22 & 23 being completely renovated DO NOT STAY HERE until it's completed. Besides that, I Love everything about this place and can't wait to return when it's quieter

Way too expensive for the room or service. It was Valentine weekend and we should have booked ahead but I was trying to surprise my bf with a last minute trip to Sedona (he had never been). When booking I inquired if they give any discounts for AAA or Military veterans.. They gave us 7% off so the base rate was $279, (which is still the most I have ever spent on a hotel room). Last year alone (2014) I have stayed 30 plus days in Sedona and never paid that much or been treated so poorly. Real Bummer. When we checked in (no one was there for 5 mins), the gentlemen arrived spoke to my bf not me which was odd since it was my booking and I was paying. He told him while I was using the restroom that we should have called? Why should we have called? The room was ok, the electric fireplace is really tacky. Scratches on the wall and the outdoor lounge chairs looked like someone just got out of them complete with nice dirty butt prints. My biggest issue is that they are constructing 2 more suites right adjacent to our suite and the construction began before 9 am so we couldnt even relax in for a bit. I would NOT have booked the room had I known that fact. (the grounds are obstructed by the construction too, so you cannot enjoy them as well either) Breakfast was crap. A small bowl of fruit with melon, orange juice from concentrate? I can get better at the Days Inn. We asked the kitchen if I could just have a piece of fruit or something since I am allergic to melon and they said no that it was premixed. The "gourmet" breakfast was cold french toast with mushy thawed frozen fruit on it. I am not going to eat that. I asked again about any other alternatives and we were told sorry. The female proprietor came around to several of the tables but not ours and I made mention of that to my bf. Upon check-out, I conveyed my dissatisfaction and was confronted with an extremely poor defensive attitude of "what time did you wake up", "I wasn't in the dining room, I was busy booking plane tickets." She said the construction was not supposed to start till 9:30 am and that she would have fixed me something. Ya that's bull and I saw the nice organic whole grain muffins she was chomping on at the desk, not the slop she was feeding her clients. It makes me sad, that people do not care about customer satisfaction in such a high dollar tourist area.

My wife and I booked this through a travel broker online as we were looking for a spontaneous weekend trip to Sedona. The room was great and the staff were very nice. Very nice location; we saw a Gambel's Quail family right in front of our doorway and hear coyotes at night. The gardens on the property are very scenic and full of wildlife. Bring some binoculars for bird viewing. This property is also on the outskirts of town and some decent star gazing can be done from it.

Phil and Janet, the owners, run a great Bed and Breakfast. Their establishment literally transforms you to seclusion to enjoy the views. They serve a to die for breakfast made by their son and Phil is a seasoned chef as we dined on eggs florentine today. We unfortunately had a flat tire. Not only did Phil hear out my problem, he drove me personally to his friends auto shop to get a compressor to bring back because it was a holiday weekend and all the tire shops were closed. He made breakfast for the mechanic for helping me out. This was on a Sunday mind you during Labor Day. The accommodations for their rooms were unbelievable. They were open, yet had their privacy. This isn't a put together by budget room, couch or bed. It had furniture in there you'd want in your home. Customer service is a lost art, but not by these owners. I will be writing a positive review for the mechanic that helped me out as well. Thanks for making us look forward to our next vacation here, we will be loyal to the Chateaux!

I really hate rating this B&B so high, because it will make it harder for us to get in the next time. If you want beautiful and calm, close, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, this is it! Tucked up in the hills of Sedona, this gem is a beautiful facility. Our room, Bella Vista 21, had gorgeous views, as well as lovely furnishings. Look at their web site, rooms are described, pictures provided (and they are accurate) as well as the prices are listed. Many rooms have a jetted tub, which ours did, which was great after miles of hiking trails. The B&B provides EO Products for shampoo, conditioner, soaps. and skin lotion. They also provide a EO facial soap bar. Look up EO products, good stuff! We had never used them and are looking into buying their products If you're looking for the uniformity of a Hilton (where we normally stay) this isn't it. Each room is distinctly and beautifully decorated. You are close enough to stores, but far enough away. Breakfast is served from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, so, if you're like me and rise early (normally 5:00 AM), there's an excellent bagel store 1.5 miles away, NY Bagels and Deli. Opens at 5 AM in summer months, 6 AM in other months. Excellent bagels and pastry! Some days I would go there and just get coffee and read the paper in the morning so my wife could sleep a little later; I'm pretty noisy. If you have kids with you they have nice donuts at NY Bagel as well; not that I sampled them! :) Loved the bagels. Breakfasts at A Sunset Chateau always has a special entree, but you can always get eggs, etc. All meals were very good. You can eat inside, in a well decorated dining room, or outside on a beautiful patio. This is where you most likely will run into the owner, Philippe Buillet, where he is always present, asking questions. Then again, you might run into him fixing a sprinkler line leak! When you leave you feel like you have known him for years! Super nice guy, as is all of the staff! Beautiful manicured gardens. Salt water pool and Jacuzzi. We left it two days ago and are already looking at next year's trip, but for more days (we were there 4 days)! "Uptown" (what they call it) is 3 miles away, which is basically the tourist location, with hotels, stores, and lots of traffic! Take a 1/2 hour trip to Jerome, but be warned, lots of hills, and a mountain ride! . It may not be good for kids or older people, although I am 65 and did fine. Get a burger at The Haunted Burger! Excellent! Read about Jerome, cool history. Again, we loved A Sunset Chateau and can't wait to go back!

We had front row access to the most beautiful views of Sedona from the inn, which truly can't be beat! When we got there at check in time, front desk was closed (to run errands as there was a house emergency) so we patiently waited outside. It was cold and I wanted to get settled in. Twenty minutes later, we were in our room! Don't get me wrong - the room was cute, southwestern, and very quaint! However, throughout my stay, there were things about the room that just didn't make me feel comfortable. For example, there was a lack of light in the living room, bathroom and bedroom. There were a few lights, but even when you turn them all on (Which by the way, you have to turn on one by one. There isn't one light switch that turns on two or three lights), it was so dim! I felt like I had to take a shower and get ready in practically the dark. We tried our best to watch tv and lounge on the couch, but the couch wasn't very comfy. Even the bed looked pretty comfy at first, but the two nights I was there, I kept tossing and turning. I don't want to seem like I'm complaining too much - hence, the three star rating. The room was cute, the views are outstanding, you have access to hiking trails and it is a very small distance from restaurants, and the breakfast was restaurant quality! The first morning, we had breakfast burritos which were delicious and the second morning, we had french toast. However, when you pay $280/night, being comfortable should not be compromised. So I'm not sure if I would stay here again if I visit Sedona.

We loved our stay here! The room was immaculate. The breakfast was great. Friendly and accommodating staff. I would recommend it. There was a breathtaking view from every angle.

Stayed here in March for a girls trip with my mom. This place was amazing!! The owners and staff were highly accommadating and super friendly. The place was very zen and peaceful and everywhere you looked you can tell they took careful consideration to the decor and peacefulness. It's off the main road and super quiet, with stores only a couple of blocks away. The rooms were very spacious and decorated with thought. Even the towels were high quality. We had a patio outside our room facing the beautiful courtyard in front of the man made waterfall/stream. So we were able to hear the water as we sat and relaxed. The pool and spa area is all inclosed around landscape and trees and there is even a nice fire place to sit and enjoy under the stars. Across the street is one of the trails that lead straight to one of the Sedona vortexes. Very convenient. And if you climb to the top can see 360 degrees of the beautiful mountains. They also have hammocks to relax in and benches under trees, so relaxing somewhere isn't a problem. We stayed for four nights and every breakfast we had was amazing! If you didn't like what was being served just ask and they will make whatever you like! Only downside for me was they didn't start serving until 8am and have a very small kitchen staff. So the meal took longer to get than I would have liked, especially if you want to go out and explore or hike for the day. I like to get an early start! During breakfast you will always see the owners walking around and talking to people and helping them make their time there the best they can. They are very helpful and anything you need ask. They can give advise on the top places and where not to go! I will defiantly be coming back! PS... you pay for what you get!! ( regarding some of the reviews that said too pricey)

After reading multiple reviews and scouring multiple travel sites for the perfect hotel, I decided on this place for our weekend trip to Sedona. The hotel sits near the end of a very dark street off the main drag in lower Sedona. The outside is rustic and charming, with redwood gates in front of each room. The lobby is jammed packed with local artists creations, all for sale. It looks a little cluttered, but there were some beautiful works of art. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady who offered suggestions of things to do in Sedona while handing us our keys. The rooms are more like miniature cottages, yet attached by adjoining walls. In front of each room is a set of chairs and a small table, along with some decorations to make it look homey. There is also a beautiful garden with a walking path behind the hotel. Our suite was beautifully furnished and each suite has its own theme. We selected the romantica suite. A small kitchenette, a sitting room with a comfy leather couch, a breakfast nook dining area and a canopy bed are just a few of the accoutrements. The room was clean and neat, but had that smell that is synonymous with hotel rooms (travelers know what I'm talking about). A nice jacuzzi bath and stone-tiled shower were also present. A few things that prevent a five star rating: I found spider webs in the corner of the ceiling in the bath room. I also found some bright red stains on the canopy drape of the bed, and one of the chairs at the dining table had a bad crack in the arm. We only made it to breakfast on our last day there, but it was well prepared and tasty; a delicious bowl of fresh fruit and a savory breakfast burrito with tangy salsa. Overall, the hotel was peaceful, clean and met all of our needs. And the view from the rooms is nothing short of breathtaking. Should we visit Sedona again, we will certainly stay at A Sunset Chateau again.

Stayed in June 2015. I loved this place! Super clean, beautiful rooms, great service. Delicious breakfast. Feels very cozy. Beautiful property. Convenient location to restaurants, food shopping, trails, vortexes. No complaints.

This place is Amazing!!! We had awesome views from our private little suite. The service was awesome. They knew about all the best places to hike and a list of things to see. We had a hit tub in our room with a large shower. The kitchen was great and fully furnished with pots and pans along with all the dishes you will need. The gas fire place was so nice. We already booked our second weekend in February. Many more visits to come.

Booked the Bella vista room a month ahead of time. This unit is located up the hill behind the check lobby and the views are amazing. The room is very spacious and tastefully decorated. Oversized tub for two was a godsend after a day of shopping and hiking. There was complimentary breakfast every morning but we didn't take advantage. Overall a very we'll kept property with a good amount of privacy, a nice pool and spa and several private chill areas with chairs, hammocks and lounges. Great location right off the main road close to everything. Loved waking up to a view of the red rocks every morning. Would recommend for couples or groups.

Sunset Chateau is the REAL deal in elegant classy southwestern art experience on the grounds and our room was SO beautiful and relaxing and the decor set the mood for sweet heavenly bliss! We stayed in the Room #1 which had an excellent view of the Sedona Rocks....BEAUTIFUL! Well worth every penny!!! The owners are a Family and hands on, very personable, nice, helpful and this owner family was on site every single day @ breakfast. And the breakfast was home made chef level cuisine, simply delicious!!! The pictures of the B&B property are the REAL deal, what you see on the internet is what you see and get when you get to Sunset Chateau. Sunset Chateau was very conveniently located on the top hill in a secluded area but had access to various hiking trails, park, tennis, basketball, walking distance to shopping. The mornings were cool and crisp perfect for morning walks!!! Our getaway dream come true was the BEST! There are other B&Bs to stay at in Sedona, but if you are looking for quiet, elegant, artiistic, fun and convenience for walking trails and quick trips to town....Sunset Chateau fits the bill!!! We would Highly recommend this B&B, when we return we will stay here again!!!

I planned a last minute destination wedding that was on the property at this quaint amazing hotel. We stayed the weekend with friends and family. It was intimate, easy-going, beautifully landscaped and romantic. The views were amazing. I rented out the dining hall for an unbelievable price, hosted a reception for two hours with the assistance of a local chef. The price was unbelievable and the hosts did everything to accommodate our party. Now, -- guess how much that cost? Nothing. If you want a romantic weekend or a special reunion, event. PLEASE consider this place. It's utterly perfect. Oh,yes, it has all the normal stuff that hotels/resorts have, free gourmet breakfast, spa, jacuzzi tub, views to die for and its right in the middle of Sedona, but utterly peaceful and quiet. My only complaint? I don't have a reason to get married again there!
(5)Raymond H.
Stayed here last week, and had a beautiful time. Stayed in the Bella Vista #20 room, and the views were spectacular. It was a treat waking up and seeing the mountains first thing in the morning. Breakfast could use some help (too salty sometimes), but it was extremely convenient when you want to get your day started. The staff was super helpful and accommodating, and our room was always cleaned. couldn't have asked for more.
(4)Araceli A.
This bed and breakfast is clean and has a great view. Love the hammocks outside. Breakfast includes an omelette with ham veggies etc., instant oatmeal, cereal, orange juice, tea and coffee. The breakfast dining hall also has a great view of the red rocks. Love this place except my only advice if you don't like firm beds it might not be the place for you.
(4)Wayne S.
I highly recommend this place. The view from the rooms are spectacular. Lots of fun, centrally located. The Proprietors are very accommodating. The wife and I had a couples massage in our room. Very nice I might add. Breakfast is a real treat. Can't wait to come back. Love Sedona Thanks

Found this B&B on yelp as a last minute overnight and was pleasantly surprised. The owners son checked us in and was exceptionally pleasant, friendly and helpful with identifying local hikes & restaurants in the area, even gave me a free stamp to mail a post card:) Our room and the public areas were decorated in an eclectic southwestern theme and I loved it. Our room had a large jacuzzi tub & small kitchen that made me wish we were staying longer. The bed was very comfy and there was even a mock fireplace that added a unique charm to the room. There was a sitting room with a 32" flat screen viewable from the bed. Breakfast was tasty we had eggs over English muffin with a hollandaise sauce and salsa. Coffee was Starbucks & great. You had the option to eat on the terrace outside or in, but both had a spectacular view. Would definitely recommend & would stay again

We have stayed in Sedona many times. However this is our first time at Sunset Chateau. I found it by accident on the internet. The description on their web site made it look inviting. We stayed in the Vista Montana Suite. A large nicely decorated room with a patio that has a great view of the red rocks. The property has a number of paths leading to patio areas with lounging chairs and hammocks. The pool and hot tub provides a relaxing place among the flower gardens. The running streams and lush landscape adds to the ambiance. A full breafast is included and served in a colorful dining room or on the outdoor patio. Phillippe and Janet are hands on people, always available to chat or help with tours or dining suggestions. Thanks to Phillippe and Janet, Sunset Chateau is a hidden gem in the hills of Sedona and our new found place to stay.
(5)Michelle T.
I will stay here everytime I visit Sedona! Absolutely gorgeous location, vibe, art, decor, garden, and a friendly staff. Sitting outside on one of the many hammocks with the red rocks as the backdrop is amazing. So cozy.
(5)Melanie C.
This place has a strange mixed vibe of "resort" and family b&b. It felt like a resort how there were so many communal spaces, driveways and entrances for each room, manmade rushing river, instantaneous service for breakfast in the morning, etc. But then down-homey family b&b as far as the front desk service staff who were mellow and casual and sometimes helpful, sometimes not so much. The rooms themselves (we stayed in two different ones) were comfortable and super clean. It seems outfitted for parties with lots of floor space, foldout beds, murphy beds, etc. Although when we were there it was all quiet couples Nice hot tub which you can use at any time. Only issue it is uber-chlorinated. Turned my rings grey.
(4)Stacy M.
Loved this place and everything about it. The owners and staff are friendly, the landscaping and room decor are beautiful. The breakfast was tasty and the vegetarians and gluten-intolerant guests were taken care of without the staff batting an eye! I plan to stay here again in the future! The only request I would have is to provide guests with robes for back and forth from the hot tub or pool.
(5)Roberta L.
Totally a Southwestern experience. The location is perfect and the scenery wonderful. The staff is beyond pleasant and helpful. Our room was tastefully decorated and with all the special attention to detail we were in awe of the level of cleanliness. It was impossible to find a speck of dust (not that we spent a lot of time looking), but you can tell when a place is well cared for. The owner takes time to greet her guests their first morning at breakfast. It's a great place. The breakfast could be expanded a little. I'm very fond of food in general and each mornings breakfast had a Southwestern flare, my husband usually had to substitute with the offering of granola. That aside...we loved the place.
(4)Nichole P.
The room was very nice and spacious, the grounds were beautiful, the staff (owners?) were friendly, helpful and informative, the breakfast was delicious. The only slight disappointment was that the wifi was not working properly - not really a big deal as we didn't spend much time on the internet. Also - I left my rings in the bathroom when we checked out (wedding ring included), we got a call about an hour later that the rings were at the front desk waiting for me to pick them up - so I give them 5 stars just for being honest and having honest staff! Thank you!!!! We will be back.
(5)Jonathan R.
I highly recommend A Sunset Chateau. This BandB is an absolute gem! For the last 5 years my buddies and I have taken a trip to Sedona for a winter mountain bike trip. This year, we found A Sunset Chateau and were blown away by the accommodations. The breakfasts were fabulous and large enough to fill us up before our all day mountain bike rides. The owners were there every morning to offer up advice about the town or to just chat it up. The rooms are VERY new and clean. The wall beds are hand made by Phillipe (the owner) and are truly pieces of art .The hot tub and pool are gorgeous and feel very private. The best part is the view and of Sedona's amazing skyline.
(5)Mike R.
An all-around great experience. My wife and I were there over President's Day weekend. The rooms and facilities were cozy, quaint, and clean. The staff were very courteous and helpful. They go out of their way to help you with suggestions on what to do in the area. The breakfasts were great. We would definitely recommend A Sunset Chateau to anyone and would definitely go back.
(5)Lawrence C.
We stayed here 2 nights for NYE. The Adobe Romatica was a great room - nice jacuzzi and the view from the balcony was definitely worth the money. I booked the room 2 months well in advance and the conceirge staff was amazing responding quickly to all my emails. They'll help you book dinners and plan activities. Unfortunately, the weather nixed plans of having a hot air balloon ride on our check-out day. I was frantic but Rochelle helped plan a helicopter ride for us which ended up being better. The service is amazing. The breakfast was really really good. My only complaint is that the walls were thin in my room. I'm not mad though - most people go to B&B's for special occasions and i cant fault people for having a good time but maybe putting some more insulation or stationing the beds opposite sides. I'm sure they felt the same way...It's all good. I'd definitely come back and am a fan of B&B's!
(5)Maggie B.
This is the most welcoming and beautiful B&B I have ever been in. The views are spectacular and the staff very gracious. And the breakfasts are delicious.(although the coffee could be stronger) It is conveniently located off 89W near great restaurants. I highly recommend this place.
(5)Mary Y.
For my birthday, I decided to treat myself... What a treat! This place is top notch, absolutely beautiful and the perfect location. We arrived early afternoon, and just sat outside on the swing near the pool in the sunshine. The grounds are well kept, hammocks, lounge chairs, even a small bed near the pool. Everyone working was wonderful. Upon check in, the gent immediately booked me a dinner reservation before I could finish my sentence, and got us checked in quickly, gave us maps and ideas for drives and walks. The B&B is directly across the road from Airport trail, so we took that hike early in the AM, and it is an easy walk and beautiful! Breakfast was served by the sweetest woman I believe we met all weekend. Continental is there as well as a made to order breakfast. There was a high maintenance woman behind us complaining, so we were extra nice to our server, as well as very vocal about leaving her a tip for working so hard (sometimes, you've just gotta set an example). My only regret was not staying a week! The rooms have everything you need, and you can even keep a little nosh for your late night wine drinking on the front porch or swing while you bask in the amazing view. There were plenty of places to choose from, and I'm so glad I chose this place!

My husband and I wanted a quick weekend get away for our anniversary. We have been to Sedona many times and decided to try a Bed and Breakfast for a more romantic atmosphere. The property is easy to find but is located in a strange area surrounded by the Humane Society, a mini-storage place, apartments, and a mobile home park. On the plus side, there are many good restaurants near by and a natural grocery store just down the street. Our room was well appointed and the view of the red rocks was amazing. I had recently started an exercise regime so I was looking forward to the jacuzzi tub to soak my aching muscles. I started the bath but was disappointed to find that they did not include any bath jell in the room. Why have a wonderful tub with no bath products? My next disappointment was when I pushed the button for the jacuzzi to start and nothing happened. My husband called the front desk and they told him to press the little breaker by the tub. He did so but it switched off again immediately. I didn't want to be electrocuted so I sat in hot water with no bubbles and no jacuzzi jets. Not really what I would expect from a $300 per night room. We went down to the jacuzzi by the pool, again hoping to help my aching muscles. The water was not even hot, just luke warm but at least the jacuzzi jets worked. My next irritation was the nasty smell coming from the armoire. I hung my clothes in it but decided to leave the doors open so the smell would not get on my clothes. I later wore one of my shirts and all I could smell was the mildewy smell from the armoire. I promptly removed my clothes and lived out of my suitcase for the weekend. Saturday morning we woke up refreshed and went down to breakfast a little early to have some coffee and discuss the time for our massage with the front desk. We were hoping to move the time back a bit because we were going to book a tour that would conflict with the massage. When we got to the breakfast room it was locked and several groups of people were waiting outside. You couldn't even get in to the building to talk to the front desk or sit down or have a cup of coffee. Right at 8:30 (a bit late for breakfast especially in a place where people enjoy getting up early and going hiking, biking, etc.) the doors opened. Coffee, milk, juice and some dry cereal were available. We were served a wonderful omelet but the overall offerings were a bit limited. I went to the front desk to ask about our massages and before I even finished asking if we could change the time, the rude owner behind the desk, who would hardly take his eyes off of the computer screen, began shaking his head negatively. He started to say it was too difficult and why did I want to move it. I explained that our tour would be back at 2 and our massage was scheduled at 3pm. Again, before I could even finish my sentence he interrupted me and said I would have plenty of time to get back and there shouldn't be a problem. Obviously, if our tour was scheduled to return at 2pm and we were across town, and we were hot, tired and needed showers, there would not be enough time to get back for the massage. The owner was very rude and kept barking at me about the time and it would be fine. He finally said something like...well I guess I could call them but it probably wont work. I was boiling mad and just walked away. At no time during our stay did the owners ever follow up about the broken bath tub or follow up about the massage issue. We ended up moving our tour to the next day and had our massages as scheduled. The masseurs were amazing and are one of the only reasons I am giving this place 2 stars instead of 1. One other thing to mention, the owners walk around during breakfast and stop at each table for a friendly chat. Which I would normally think was fine except they would stand there and talk and talk and monopolize your breakfast. It was really frustrating to see table after table have their breakfasts interrupted for 5-10 minutes while the owners tried to engage them in conversation. Again, a nice hello and how are you doing would have been fine but to stand there and bother the patrons while they are trying to relax and have their breakfasts was just too much. Obviously others have had good experiences here but I would beware if you are expecting a high end experience.

Sunset Chateau bed and breakfast was amazing, beautiful hill top villa with a majestic view of the Sedona mountains. Loved the southwestern decor and casita style landscape! Thanks to Jean for your warm welcome and personalized greeting! Be back again soon.

I wanted to take my husband to Sedona for his birthday, and after researching all of the hotels, resorts and bed and breakfasts in Sedona; I settled on A Sunset Chateau. What a wonderful choice that was! We were awed by the beauty of the location of this boutique hotel. We were even more inspired by the architecture, decor and grounds. My husband commented that it looked a lot like a Chateau he had stayed in in Switzerland, and we were thrilled to meet Philippe and discover that was exactly what the place was modeled after! Our room, Belle Vista, was LOVELY and the views were incredible. We savored every minute of our time there, resting in the hammock, soaking in the Jacuzzi under the starlit sky, dining on their outdoor patio, enjoying our delicious omelette at breakfast. It was more than I could have hoped for for my husband's birthday. He was genuinely overwhelmed! Thank you Philippe and Janet! We look forward to coming back!
(5)Karolina B.
Chose this place because of the rooms! Amazing patio with gorgeous view of the red rocks, the B&B has a vintage/rustic feel and the rooms are modern and new! Every part of this place has the Sedona theme tied in, so much attention to detail! We stayed in the premium casita, it has a kitchen, two tvs w/ DVD players, mini fridge, pots and pans, dishes, coffee to make for the morning, yummy smelling lotions, the list goes on! The family that runs the place is so accommodating! I could not find one thing wrong with the Sunset Chateau, pool with jacuzzi and fireplace, super close to trails (teacup trail) and downtown Sedona! I am coming here again, felt like a 5 star resort with the quaintness of a bed and breakfast!

My wife and i simply cannot understand the plethora of positive reviews. From a cobweb-rich room with sunken mattresses to a curt, rude young owner, and the worst coffee with burnt taste, this place simply does not live up to its reputation.
(1)B R.
Breathtaking views, beautiful rooms, great breakfast. I can not say enough great things about this place.

We stayed here two nights, and had different rooms both times. The adobe romantica room is the most amazingly romantic and perfect room I have ever stayed in. Each detail is considered and very well done. The jacuzzi next to the bed, the shower, the extremely comfortable and romantic bed... the fireplace (which is for aesthetics only, it doesn't give off any heat), the couches. Everything was great. Not to mention the view. Absolutely breathtaking. The grounds are nice as well. When we first arrived, we were a little skeptical because the building looks like a motel. The inside, however, did not. There is a pool and hot tub outside. The second room we stayed in was Pueblo bonita. It was on the second floor and the view from there was incredible. So incredible that we got engaged on the balcony there that night. The room itself was not as romantic as the Adobe but still charming and comfortable. The breakfast was insanely good. Fat slices of French toast with fresh fruit and eggs florentine. YUM. I'd recommend a Sunset Chateau to those who want a romantic getaway in Sedona. It really is worth the several hundred dollars you'll spend to stay.
