Trying to get off gluten so I thought I would give it a try here. Got a gluten-free crust with loads of toppings, which were very generous. It was amazing. If you like a thin, crisp, yet sturdy little crust, whether you give a rip about gluten or not, it was SOOOO GOOOD. Great flavor and texture and warmed up the leftovers in a frying pan (THE ONLY WAY TO RE-HEAT PIZZA!!!) a couple days later..I think it might have been even better the second time around. Very nice man waited on us outside on the patio and brought water for my dog. Great experience. Very, very good pizza.

I tried Tastebud's Pizza a few times some years back during the original owner's tenure. I didn't think the pizza tasted good so I wrote them off. Since then, there have been different owners. More recently they have had good reviews on Yelp, I had been told by some friends said Tastebud's was their favorite, even above Park Plaza and Bill's. Wow. Again they have new owners, so last week I game them a try. I cannot believe that anyone likes this pizza. It tastess incredibly similar to Tony's $1.50 frozen pizza you get at any grocery store. I was shocked. The crust was tasteless. There was no yeast flavor. It was dry, a bit tough, and incredible bland--similar to unsalted plain crackers. The sauce was under seasoned, bland and lacked character. It was neither sweet nor savory, with no garlic of herb flavors. Even the tomato flavor was diluted. There was a OK amount of cheese and pepperoni, but neither could save the overall dullness. The amount of pizza for the price was not that great, but really, that didn't even matter In one word: yuck. The new owner said they were trying to keep the pizza the same as the previous owners. What ever they are doing doesn't work. I will never bother to go back. If you feel this review was Useful, Funny, or Cool, please click the buttons below. Thanks

Got the buffalo chicken 8" pizza and the bbq brisket sandwich. The fries looked like they were put into a cool vat of oil only to come out dead and limp, the brisket sandwich was dry and smothered in a sauce that was distinctly made from corn syrup, the pizza was also limp and cheesy - definitely the better of the two but the crust was thin and lifeless. Absolutely no flavor in any of the dishes (except for the franks used in the pizza). Couldn't finish the meal. A genuine waste of money. Will not be going back ever again.

I guess its under new ownership again. They had great pizza and bbq when we were up here last. This time both the brisket and pulled pork tasted like theyd reheated the meat in a microwave. So bad we couldnt eat it. The waitress also scolded us when we sat down outside for not checking in with them. Wont be back.

Was the best place in town until the new owner showed up and screwed everything up. Sadly the old guys are gone and so is my favorite place. I won't be returning, thanks for screwing everything up new guy.

Ate lunch there today June 14th, 2015. The server was swearing under her breath about customers on the patio, she was unfriendly when serving our table, she didn't bring the beverages ordered, and the French fries were served raw. I 've eaten here many times with satisfaction but now I am more than disappointed with today's experience.

My Husband and I had Tastebuds delivered to our hotel (The Motor Lodge) this past weekend. The ordering/delivery process was very easy and our food arrived fast. So really, you can't ask for much more when it comes to service. The food itself was better than expected. We ordered a thin crust pepperoni/olive pizza and wings. The pizza was pretty good... not exceptional, but I liked it. Crispy and had decent flavor. The wings were REALLY good. We had the Carolina BBQ wings. We both LOVED the sauce. The wings could have benefitted from some ranch, but otherwise they were excellent. Also, it would have been nice for them to proved napkins at least. Thankfully, we had plates already in our room, but that would have been nice as well. All in all, I was please with my meal. If I lived in the area, or if I am back again, I wouldn't hesitate to order especially wings from Tastebuds! Oh and it's such a cute name!

This place was amazing. Wanted a pizza after long hiking day visiting from Scottsdale and its hands down the best and I'm originally from Chicago. Was just in for 5 min the staff was very friendly and the people sitting at the bar and outside were all happy and content watching sports. Super cool quaint place amazing food. I'll definetly be back next trip. Thanks again

Dough was a little "doughy" on inside of pizza once it was delivered, but the ingredients used we really liked which is vital! Lol and the delivery was faster than announced. Bonus! Overall I do recommend it!

I am not from local area and am a picky pizza eater. I have tried several pizza places close to Tastebuds, often disappointed. Pizza to me is all about the dough, if the dough isn't good either will be the pie. This dough is fresh, tender and flavorful, it is not pre-pressed. Toppings are fresh. I was lucky to have stopped in when both owners where there, Steve & Jim, very attentive and friendly. There is a tiny bar area with a few TVs, where one can have a beer or soda while waiting. Besides pizza, Tastebuds offer sandwiches, wings etc, check out menu. the staff are also very friendly, and helpful for suggestions if you are a first timer. Prices are right where they should be. I am not sure if they deliver, but don't let that be a deterrent, Tastebuds quality far outweighs other places that do. I feel I have found my go to local Pizza place.

My wife and I stopped in due to the good yelp reviews. Bar has 3 TV's. The owner was tending bar and was very friendly and helped us figure out our next drinking spot. Atmosphere was awesome. Kind of small sports bar. Pizza was really good. I will definitely stop in next time we are in Prescott.

Stopped by to pick up a pizza while in town, and as another review said before, it's your typical mom and pop pizza parlor. The wife took my order, the husband made my pizza. It's good food, but nothing over the top to write home about. Wish I would have tried the wings I heard so much about though. Give it a shot though, definitely better than chain pizzas!

Cheesy Garlic Bread- Soft garlic bread, smothered in chewy Mozzarella, Pizza- Went with the Buffalo chicken with pineapple, thin crust, it is delicious, light crunchy crust, cheese is perfect, the hot sauce has some kick to it, but the pineapple cools it down. This is some good pizza, as a pizza aficionado this is pretty good.

Went up north for the weekend and discovered this little gem while walking by, and had a blast. Husband & wife team were awesome. Great service and food! Ordered thin crust pizza, sauce was delish! Wings were great and to finish it off the cheesecake is rich & creamy and comes with choice of dipping sauce. And they had a ton of football games to pick from for your viewing pleasure. Can't wait to make another weekend trip to prescott just to try the hand tossed pizza!

Awesome pizza! To be honest, I have never "dined in". We have always ordered and received delivery. But don't let that stop. The flavors are amazing, the sauce, the crust, everything is just incredible. Favorite pizza has got to be grilled Chicken with white sauce, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, garlic and artichokes. AWESOME! Thinner crust, definitely homemade. The red sauce very good. Meat lovers is excellent. As just a good bonus are the wings. Incredibly good, meaty and definitely not dried out as some wings can be. Do plan ahead as they get busy and delivery can be personally done by the owners. Their pride shines through on every part of this business.

This is your typical, mom and pop style pizza place. Small dining area, but there are some outdoor benches. Food is good, but their wings are really why we go. Good prices, especially if you place larger orders for parties and the like. The service is also really good, though there's not much to expect when you're really just ordering from the front and waiting until it's ready. Not recommended for large groups unless you're ordering out. Quiet lunches with friends are fine, but it's pretty clear when you come in that most of their business is take-out.

We have been ordering from Bill and Kay at Tastebuds since they opened--love their pizza (sausage, feta, spinach and mushroom), wings, salads and sandwiches. Kay knows us by name when we call in. Their service is excellent and product is consistent. Thanks guys!

was in Prescott for Work and we always stop at a local pizza place when we travel. this time we chose Tastebuds. Located in an old brick building that use to be a gas station back in the day it's small but has a good feel to it. the owners (bill and kay) were at the counter working which made the mom and pop type shop much better. We got a large pizza with Pepperoni & Banana peppers and the buffalo waffle fries. the Fries were ok, but much better after we got a side of buffalo sauce to dip them in. The pizza was awesome. the dough and crust had good flavor along with good sauce and cheese. Overall i was very impressed with the whole experience
