Whoa! Saw this along our way to Scottsdale and decided to stop in. This place was a hot mess in many ways. My friend was interested in one of the pastries in the display counter and was told that they were just for display. When asked why they would display food that was not available he didn't have a good answer. He said that there is no way that she would want that pastry as it was several days old - gross! Ordered an ice coffee which was do it yourself style. Went to put skim milk in the coffee and even though the carafe was marked skim the milk that came out seemed like cream. The other two carafes were cream so I was really confused. I mentioned this to the manager and she was disturbed that someone else filled the carafes wrong. She dropped the F bombs a couple of times and took the carafes away to empty whatever was in them but didn't seem the least bit interested in ensuring that I got the right type of milk in my coffee. In fact, she came back with only one carafe and seemed exasperated and said - - this is the half and half and from now to the end of the night this is the only option. Thanks! My friend ordered a barista drink that was pictured with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. She was given neither on her drink and when she asked for whipped cream the woman, who I believe was a manager seemed annoyed. I went to the ladies room and upon exit my eyes were hit wit black smoke. The smoke was so heavy that I literally yelled fire across the restaurant to my friend. No one that worked there seemed phased and told me to calm down and that it was just a couple of bagels that they burned in the oven (again) great! So oddly this seemed like an every day occurrence. We left shortly after and my eyes hurt from the smoke and I coughed for about an hour after leaving the joint. I love Einsteins Bagels and have been to many but this place needs to get its act together.

Excellent, proper bagels. Other food items are good, too. Barista-made drinks are in and out. Service ranges from good to baffling. Nice surroundings (outdoor tables, fireplace inside). Staff goofs around when management is not present...that presents a poor image when your food prep is highly visible. Place needs tighter control up front. Unimaginably, this franchise consistently runs out of plain bagels after 1-2 pm. Jalapeno, blueberry, no problem. But plain...? Two words for management: inventory control.

This Einsteins is in need of some new ownership/leadership. The employees seem to have little sense of urgency & the dining area/tables/floor seem to be always dirty. On our last visit we noticed the trays the food are served in had apparently not been washed in some time. They had dried food/jelly(?), creme cheese, etc. on all 3 baskets we were given - gross. We were also given the wrong food order. We've observed the same things whether it's been busy or slow. Please address what seems to be consistent reviews on Yelp, or this place is not going to make it. We looked forward to Einsteins being in Prescott and we've tried to give them a chance, but we will go elsewhere if their standards don't improve!

Awful. There were 6 employees supposedly working. I ordered 6 bagels and 1 muffin. We had to talk with 3 different employees, order and 1 register, pay at another, and it took 7 minutes despite the fact there was no line we had to wait in. Come here if you want to witness the best in inefficiency. I agree with an earlier reviewer that the employees run around like chickens with their heads cut off. Nonsense. I was at Panera just yesterday and had better bagels and much friendlier and efficient customer service.

Saturday morning. The place was busy but seemed nice. The staff was great and friendly. However the order was totally messed up. They were great about it and corrected the order to our satisfaction. The food was great and fresh. Would come here again without any reservations.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I pulled into the drive thru & was 3rd in line. After 25 min, I was still 3 cars from the window. I didn't get my order because I was going to be late for work, so I left...AFTER WAITING 25 MINUTES! I'm sure corporate Einstein's would NOT approve of this kind of turn around time. Piss poor.

Clearly one of the most dysfunctional, disorganized eating establishments we've ever experienced. Three people in our party. Two bagels, one panini sandwich, two coffees, two waters. 40 minutes before we got our order. Are you kidding me this is a bagel shop! Dirty tables, dissatisfied customers, terrible experience. I have never heard so many apologies and excuses in the 55 minutes that we spent there. Never again! No Einstein here running the show. We will be getting our Bagels at the little bagel shop at Park Plaza.

Waited 20 minutes for a plain bagel withe butter on it. I could have driven home and made one faster. And when I got it was cold ...I took it back up to get it warm and got a sigh and dirty look. Never going back!!!!

My wife and I have been here a few times and enjoyed the food. This last time while ordering I noticed a bagle on fire in the toaster. I mentioned it to the clerk and she said that happens time to time. While eating I noticed another flaming bagle. Needless to say the restaurant smelled of burnt bagle inside. Not too appetizing!

We were driving back to Phoenix from Prescott this weekend and I hit my yelp app to find a good cup of coffee to clear away the traces of Whiskey Row. I love Einstein's coffee and a bagel sounded perfect but I was surprised by the bad reviews on here. We decided to give it a try anyway.... The reviews all mention bad customer service? I can't remember the last time I had such great, memorable service! The two gentleman taking and making our orders were super friendly and funny and the gal keeping the coffee fresh was also very polite. Not to mention...the bagels were perfect. So maybe there was a problem in the past? It's gone. Don't listen to the negative reviews, go get yourself a great cup of coffee and a bagel :)

Pros: great coffee, yummy bagels Cons: worst service ever. Slow drive thru (and I mean sloooow). Been there 3 times and twice our order was wrong or missing something. Staff is miserable. Sucks because I like their food but the service makes me opt for Starbucks because I can at least get my order quick, it's right and the staff is always nice. I don't even like Starbucks as much as I do Einstein's so it's really irritating.... fix your service please!!

The first bagel that I was served was burnt with cream cheese spread on to hide the black crust. I returned it to the counter only to get a dirty look from a male employee. I was served another bagel prepared properly. I do much better when I prepare them at home.

We were in Prescott for a short visit and wanted a quick breakfast. The person on the register had no clue what she was doing and as a result service was slow. Some folks in line in back of us were complaining loud enough to be heard. My husband ordered 2 bagels, untoasted and I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. I received my bagel, but my husband did not get his part of the order. When we questioned another employee, she said the first server should have bagged the untoasted bagels right away. I know sometimes issues happen, but based on the recent reviews I read, poor service at this location is a common problem. Additionally, the bagels were not as good as I remembered them. Probably the corporation that owns Einstein has cut quality to increase profit? We have a location in our area and the quality is not as good either. In future I am going to stick to non-chain locally owned restaurants.

We have tried other Einstein's and loved them. So naturally we were excited about the opening here. We waited for them to work out the kinks. So Friday the 13th (that should have been my first clue) my wife and I thought we would give it a try. We were there after the lunch rush. My wife had the chive and onion on honey whole wheat bagel and I had the deli whole grain bread sandwich with tuna. My wife went ahead and got a table. By the time I paid for lunch the food was ready in a to go sack even though I had said "for here". The bagel was great. The sandwich had been made ahead because the bread was crushed and soggy. The tuna was dry - really dry. I had a side of potato salad. It just didn't taste right, so I looked on the bottom and there was a sticker with "Saturday ". I flagged down a manager/supervisor/ some one with a different colored shirt. I asked if the "Saturday " meant made or expires. She said that it meant expires. For your information Miss person in authority, you put the sticker on when you make an item and you date it. I suspect that it was made last Saturday and maybe the sandwich was too. The sandwich sat on the table with a few bits out of it. Did anyone come around and ask if anything was wrong with my meal? Of course not! The chapter on talking to the customer has long been removed from the employee manual. The store was clean and well organized, but we will probably not go back. To bad. Save your money it's not worth the trip. Try some of the local bagel places. By the way, we stopped in to Sprouts on the way home and picked up some butterscotch muffins. I'll take them over Einstein's bagels anyway.

I'm so bummed by my experience here. Ordered the salmon bagel sandwich. Asked what was on it because I have food allergies. She didn't list anything I should worry about. But there it was when it came out. The gigantic fish scale on top made me cringe. So I boxed up the salmon bagel and got a cinnamon sugar bagel to go. I'm eating it as I write this. It's all cinnamon and no sugar. We even got a little dog biscuit bagel for our lab. He played with it and refuses to eat it. I've seen him eat trash. At least the frozen strawberry lemonade was good.

After reading the other posts I had to comment. I have eaten here about a dozen times so far and have never had poor or slow service. The food has always been delicious and served promptly. So far my fiance and I have tried nearly every bagel they have, the garlic is to die for, but only if you LOVE garlic. Their hours are great too, most days they open at 530 which is nice for people who have to go to work, before them the only joints in town that were open were carls jr and McDonalds.

Glad (or sorry) to see I'm not the only one who's had a poor experience here. I like Einstein's, but this location is abysmal. Three different visits, each with no more than six people in front, and each time it took more than 20 minutes to receive my to-go order of a bagel sandwich. It's not like they're cooking everything from scratch - it's all in bins or tubs, ready to be assembled. And there's never a shortage of staff - each time I see staff milling about or laughing/talking with one another. The last time I was in there, the store GM was making the food despite there being at least six other employees visible at the front of the store, and it was still slow (and the order came out wrong, but I think that was because of the cashier not correctly identifying what the sandwich was supposed to have in it). Please do yourself a favor and avoid this location until they can get their act together. There's a great local bagel shop only two miles away that charges less for a bagel and doesn't take 20 minutes to put together a sandwich.

After standing in line, on Saturday morning, and watching 8 people behind the counter, 2 of which were discussing mopping the floor, I decided to try again another day. In the beginning they were GREAT! But than my husband and I kept going there and they now every time in the drive thru we pull up to the window and they don't even say hello, they just stand there and wait for me to hand my money over. Like really? Can't even smile or say hello?! And than when we get our bagels they are always BURNT! Seriously not going here any more it's just been so disappointing.
(2)
Ron G.
Bagels are a little too small and when you get one it is cold. The butter on it didn't even melt. Also don't buy their coffee mug. I was told by the owner on opening day that with the Einstein mug, refills will be $.59. When I went with the mug they wanted to charge double that. I don't want to argue with them each visit.
(2)
Richard M.
This by far is the worst Einstein in the chain. Slow doesn't even begin to describe the service. It shouldn't take 10 min to put cream cheese on a bagel. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to make a panini, but it does at this location. Employees shouldn't stand around and talk while customers are waiting to be served. I don't know who trained the help but it is obvious they didn't train them to serve the customer. I will avoid going to this store because it isn't worth the aggravation.

Worst Einsteins I had the worst food poisoning from their Egg sandwich. I've been here a handful of times and they always get my order wrong. Worst place ever.
(1)Cyndi P.
(1)Bryan W.

(2)Dave R.
Really glad they're here! Somewhat inconsistent service but the food and coffee are great!
(4)Erica B.
Bagels are great but pretty much slowest service I have ever experienced. Especially the drive through.

(2)Daniel A.

The line of customers was 6 deep and only 1 young lady was serving the first customer (who couldn't decide what kind of bagels she wanted to put in her bag)
(2)Ashlie M.
(2)Ron G.
(2)Richard M.
(1)Michael G.
Saturday morning. The place was busy but seemed nice. The staff was great and friendly. However the order was totally messed up. They were great about it and corrected the order to our satisfaction. The food was great and fresh. Would come here again without any reservations.
(3)Kasey C.
This place is filled with employees running around with their darn heads chopped off..waited in the drive thru lane 30 minutes for 2 bagels and 2 coffees no sorry nothing just shitty service
(1)G S.
(1)Korey J.
Piss poor.
(1)Nick M.

(1)Jane L.
Terrible customer service and below average bagels and sandwiches.
(1)Alan F.
(3)Jeff L.
