Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I enjoy this place. Quick service. Free tea. The food is good. Keep in mind, this is not a gourmet Chinese restaurant. I read a ton of snobby reviews. The owner is super nice. Portions are big enough that I always take some home. Helps that it's down the street from my home :)

What a great find, tucked away behind Safeway Plaza in Prescott. I've held off reviews on this place for too long. I guess I've eaten here 7 or 8 times over the past few years and I love their food. I'm always greeted with a smile. I really love their Curry Chicken, it's medium in spiciness and leaves you wanting a little more. Chocked with chicken and bell peppers, it's my favorite. Crispy Beef is great as well as is their Garlic Chicken. Always served with choice of Egg drop or sweet and sour soup, a better then average egg roll and choice of rice. The place is kinda small, service is superb and food very good. I do prefer Canton Dragon, but this is my second choice. Very inexpensive $8.00 average lunch price. You really can't go wrong here.

Based on previous reviews and a friend's recommendation, I was hoping for a much better experience than we got tonight. The manager/owner lady treated my family like we were a nuisance; the take out order we placed was completely incorrect and overpriced for the tiny portions we received ($40 for two very small to go plates). After being surprised in the car by the small portions and wrong order, I was yelled at by the manager for asking for a refund (in front of her other patrons!) for causing her problems. For goodness sake, my wife and I just had a baby two days ago and were just trying to have a quiet evening at home with good Chinese food. I don't know if she was just having a bad day or what, and to be fair the wait staff were VERY apologetic and tried to smooth things over, but the rudeness by which we were treated by the manager was atrocious and warrants no repeat visits for us.

It's been a while since I've had Hong Kong Style pan fried noodles and so my appetite grew two folds when they had it. I ordered the house pan fried noodles and I was not disappointed. The crunch of the noodles kept from the time I poured the sauce until the last bite. There were enough mushrooms, veggies and meat (shrimp, chicken, beef) for two people. Plus, the two ladies working the dining area and register were nice people, always smiling and polite.

This review is about a year overdue, but I still feel it's worthwhile to post. I wasn't ready to order right away and the server/manager wasn't having it. I ordered when I was ready and she gave me a "gift" halfway through the meal. It was a weird looking keychain that said something something ghost ... On the package it said "this ghost can help or harm humans." Given how she wasn't happy by my ordering, I'm assuming it was the latter. She literally tried to curse me! Needless to say, I'm never going back

I will say the food in Prescott to be fair. Their other location in Chino Valley on the other hand is superb. Really much friendlier, cleaner and tastier. I have actually walked out of the Prescott location because the lady was rude, nothing like that in Chino Valley. I would highly recommend going to Chino Valley Beijing Garden for great chinese food.

We thought we'd try this restaurant because of the generally positive reviews. We are middle of the road diners. We are't foodies or blandies. This food was tasteless, chewy and flavorless. There are only 3 Chinese restaurants in Prescott. The prices were high for the quality of food.Try another one!

WOW! We tried this restaurant tonight for the first time. It was delicious!! The service was wonderful, the food was fresh, homemade & not too salty. My husband said he saw the two gentlemen cooking our order up fresh. We ordered Ginger Chicken & Mongolian Beef and they were both the best we have had anywhere!!! The white rice was fluffy, not hard, and also very fresh. I would recommend this restaurant for Chinese food over any other Chinese food restaurants in Prescott & we have tried them all.

Came here for lunch. It's a very down to earth, unassuming place with a friendly hostess and waitress. Ordered the Mongolian Beef from the lunch menu and it was very bland, typical Americanized Chinese food. Portions were small. Now that I've been here once, I doubt I would come back here again.

I tried this place by chance as I was craving Chinese food - I ordered the kung pow chicken, BBQ pork fried rice and rolls. What a surprise my wife was really taken back - the veggies were fresh and nothing too greasy - no MSG - the meat was wonderful - especially for chicken which in many Chinese restaurants comes out strange for some reason - here it is fresh. They were closed on a Sunday - so I tried the other place over by Chipolte - it was good - but I prefer this place better. Both places, amazing enough, are better than many of the places we had in Alameda CA - which for some reason has some lousy Chinese food - especially for being only 5 miles away from China Town in Oakland. Now if they made sweet/steamed pork buns - I would be ecstatic.

Went here for the first time after moving to the area...It was AMAZING! Delicious food, and FAST! We were recognized by the owner as being first time customers and she welcomed us and checked on us frequently. The crispy beef is just that and the egg rolls are fresh cabbage with pepper and spices, freshly made. The entree's came with your choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, fried rice, egg roll, and two pork wontons. It also has free hot tea if you wish. We chose iced tea, which was awesome spiced tea. We will definitely be going back. The food tasted better than other 'Higher Priced Places' like 'chang's.' There's not a lot of choices for Chinese food in Prescott/Prescott Valley, make this place your 'spot'. You won't be disappointed.

I love this place! it's hard to find good Chinese food in Prescott, but I love this place. When I walked in, I was greeted cheerfully and directed to a table. I didn't have to wait long to be waited on. My food was served promptly and it was delicious. I will always come back!

What you would expect from a moderate Chinese restaurant. Food OK, the service was excellent. Would eat here again.

Service very good, food was served promptly, price was a little more than expected. Overall I enjoyed the experience.

IWe thought both their offerings had too brown a taste. That is, similar to a brown gravy flavor in American food. The Schezwan pork was overly breaded and soggy. Not much flavor, either. The food came quickly, but the check took a long time, then we waited, and they said no American Express card. Got out another card and waited some more for it to be picked up. etc, etc. We spent almost as much time waiting to pay as we did eating.

We had a really good experience here... with the employees, that is. Our servers were pretty attentive, and the hostess (owner?) even doted on our children and brought a little toy to our table for our daughter (no doubt purchased from the Dollar Tree down the street). When people seem to take a genuine interest in our kids (rather than a fakey, "give me a big tip" kind of interest), it definitely scores points with us. That's why I'm giving this place 1 star above the minimum! The food, on the other hand, was terrible. Everything was gratuitously greasy, with no flavor whatsoever. The chicken was bland with no seasoning, and we found more than one piece of chewy, stringy cartilage. Ugh. Portion size was ridiculously small for the price. If it wasn't for the icky feeling we all had in our stomachs from the grease, we would've eaten somewhere else afterward just to get full. They don't have a fountain for soft drinks, they serve you a single can of soda with a glass of ice... big no-no for me, as I usually get 3-4 refills with each meal, and they would obviously charge for each can. I limited it to one can, since we were already approaching $40 as it is for 2 adults and 1 child (+ 1 infant). The staff was great, but ultimately, the food makes or breaks a place... we will NOT be back!

My Chinese class and I ofen go hear. The workers are all actually chinese and the food is good. The prices are also reasonable for the amount of food you get and the service is great! Also, their kong pao chicken is authentic tasting and yummy

There's a Chinese word that has no equivalent in English which expresses the quality of the aroma coming from the food due to the iron wok used to cook the food. The word has a yes/no binary value. Either a dish has it or it doesn't. I've eaten in many Chinese restaurants all around the US and Hong Kong. And based on several years of consistent experience, I can tell you that food from this place HAS that quality. It's most evident in the Hunan beef with different unions in it. But I don't think that's dishes from the Canton Dragon has it. Go there if you want celery filler in dishes -- an ingredient that is not authentically Chinese. If you wanted fancier decorations with dirty carpets and bland food, go to the Golden Gate. I've been going to Beijing Garden for years because I like its more refined food from Northern China. Hence the Beijing, Schezuan and Hunan on its sign. Comparing Cantonese dishes with Northern dishes is like saying that the shrimp and grits from a Charleston restaurant is better than the baked beans from a restaurant in Boston, MA. That would be a ridiculous comparison. Granted, Beijing Gardent doesn't offer the full gamut of wheat baos, Peking Duck, and other expensive dishes. But I don't think that comments by other commenters based on one-time visits are justified. I've never felt a sticky table there. Therefore I've added an extra star to make up for others' nit-picky whining.

Pro's: 2nd best Chinese food I've ever enjoyed. They served me cheerfully even though I went in 15 minutes before closing (I ordered out though). Con's: The woman who waited on me didn't tell me they had combo specials on a page in the menu and let me order everything a la cart: $28 for 1 pork fried rice, 1 vegetarian tofu in black bean sauce, and 1 Gen Tsau's Chicken. Ridiculous. But I'll never go through Prescott again without eating there.

Little pricey and food was ok. If this wasn't one of the only games in town for Chinese I would probably rate it lower. Homemade pot stickers were a little rubbery and at a $1.10 a piece not a good deal. Beef chow fun had enough beef and was tasty enough, but I could not get past the fact that the noodles were Pad Thai noodles NOT fun noodles. Huge difference.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in the northern AZ. Amazing fried rice dishes (Beef, shrimp or combination) and crispy beef. Lots of traditional dishes not commonly found in other Chinese restaurants. If there is any preference in food preparation, the restaurant accommodates well and easily (wife has a gluten allergy). Very friendly and quick service for a business lunch!

My friend convinced me that the Beijing Garden had excellent Chinese food. Because of that, I decided to give this place a try. This restaurant is located at the south corner of the Safeway strip mall. Across from the establishment, you will find Prescott Honda and Baskin Robins. To the right of the restaurant, you will find the UPS store. Upon entry, expect to find a plainly decorated Chinese restaurant. At the time of my visit - which was at about 5 PM - there were no other patrons. Ambience was supplied mostly from natural sunlight. Upon sitting at the table, the first thing I noticed was that the tabletop was a bit sticky. I opted to have noodles. The noodles were okay; not surprisingly good or bad. Prices were affordable, with my noodles priced at about $10. Service was good. I found the staff to be friendly. In summation, my meal was not particularly special. In the future, I will likely opt for a meal at the Canton Dragon - which I find to have the best Chinese food in the Prescott area.

We go to the Beijing Garden at least once a month for delicious Chinese food. The crab puffs are WONDERFUL! The hot and sour soup is worth a trip back. We have never had a bad meal there. Kelly, the owner, is always welcoming and the service is always excellent. I read the other reviews and while our American Express card was not accepted, it was no big deal. LOTS of businesses, especially small businesses, cannot afford the fees. We went to Canton Dragon and the Golden Door before finally finding Beijing Garden last summer. The other two, while adequate, pale in comparison. We heartily recommend this restaurant!

We went for dinner and asked to be seated in the quiet dining area. They would not allow this and put us in a booth with the lunch counter next to the front door. A few minutes later, "regulars" were greeted warmly and seated in the dining area. After eating, we had to ask twice for boxes. We were given only one box -- we asked for another but the request was ignored. A horrible experience. Food was marginal but better than the service. The Canton Dragon and the Golden Gate are better alternatives.

Been eating here for fourteen years and now she has a place in Chino Valley too. Excellent food would recommend to all. Moo Shoo Chicken is the best anywhere! Very friendly. The owner Kelly greets you and makes you feel welcome. We will be back!
