A fun place to have breakfast or lunch. I always go for breakfast, and receive a nice plate, which is generous. The atmosphere is friendly and service good. Not fancy and not necessary. Restrooms are always clean. A good place for those traveling through, or locals. They have started doing a limited dinner menu, call if interested as unsure of hours.

Great French Toast!.. Nice diner atmosphere, friendly service. I drove 70 miles for work and stopped in and was very happy with my choice. I'm hoping my work brings me back. I would come back here and try something new.
(5)Skitzo F.
Awesome service on extremely busy Sunday morning. Great food and large portions. Any time in Payson only choice for breakfast.
(5)Amanda D.
Awesome place and super friendly staff! The food was delicious. We had the breakfast burrito - delicious and a must have. Also had the biscuit and gravy with hash browns eggs and bacon-- omg id totally have this again. We will be back next time we are in Payson!
(5)Nick R.
We were back in Payson and tried Dinner here for the first time (Thur and Fri). First of all, the menu was surprising. We were expecting diner type food, but instead they had a small but diverse menu. We had the Sweet Ponzu Ahi Nachos and they were excellent. Everything was made fresh and made well. We will be coming back for sure.
(5)Eric S.
If you need some food while driving through Payson skip the chains and hit up this place. They are also open for dinner on Thursday and Friday, you won't regret it.
(4)Wendi S.
We ate lunch here over the summer during our drive from The White Mountains down to the valley. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Our server was the daughter of the owner and was SO nice. My entire family liked their food. I ordered a Cobb Salad and it rivaled (even beat) some of the Cobbs I've had at bigger chain restaurants. So good and obviously fresh ingredients. I look forward to visiting again.

We were in Payson for a day hike and stopped at this place to get breakfast. We were rather surprised with the food; much better than we expected. Excellent food, coffee could be better!
(5)Bill R.
Disappointed. Came here because it was so well reviewed but left feeling....eh. My sister had the breakfast burrito and was pleased with it, my wife had French toast and I had biscuits and sausage gravy. The food was just tepid, like it had been sitting in the window awhile. The atmosphere was fine, what you'd expect for a greasy spoon but the service wasn't the best. I like mom n pop places instead of the chains but the food tasted straight out of a can, no sausage in the gravy and blah. I don't like leaving bad reviews but feel people that haven't tried it should know/

Great cafe. Busy, which is always a good sign, but no one was forgotten. The staff was great. The food was so yummy, especially the banana pancakes. A must for anyone in the area.
(5)Steph C.
Highly recommend sitting at the left hand side of the counter so you can watch the dynamic between the cooks in the back and the waitresses. Amazing. The service is quick and the people are so nice and attentive.
(4)Dawn B.
Best fish fry in Payson. Great pies! Breakfast has large portions, tasty and affordable

Let me start by saying that Ms Fitz over at the 260 Cafe needs some serious lessons in cleanliness. This place is filthy and appears to suffer from years of neglect. Just take a look at the arms of the chairs, which clearly have not been cleaned in years. Also examine the baby high chair, which is filthy from the bottom up, the door handles, which are nasty, the light switches - (ikky), the kitchen door - (disgusting) and the fluorescent light fixtures above your head, which are filled with dead bugs. The list goes on and on. Still, the place must have a few redeeming qualities with so many positive yelp reviews, which is what brought me here in the first place. I had the corned beef hash, (which obviously came out of a can - yuk) with hash browns and 2 eggs over easy. The most enjoyable part was the crust on the hash browns and corned beef hash. The coffee was weak and mediocre at best. Service wise, they really do try, which is perhaps the only reason why people would come here. Honestly, we will not be rushing back here any time soon... Unless of course they do some major deep cleaning. Merry Maids anyone?

Ignore the review about this place being dirty. Either they took the pictures long ago and decided to re-post them as being recent, or this place cleaned up in a hurry!! We stopped by and ordered a kid's breakfast for $1.50. What he got made him super happy and he was talking about it all day long!! His pancake was a HUGE animal shaped pancake(s)...several pancakes (the kid said it was Mickey Mouse but it looked more like a bear to us) and it had chocolate chips for the eyes and nose. It came with a scrambled egg AND a strip of bacon!! What?? Only $1.50?? They had a big box of McDonald toys that were still in the wrapping. Our kid scored one of those too! This place is super kid friendly!! I ordered the Reuben. I couldn't decide if I wanted fries or onion rings, and our waitress offered up both! I really liked their fries! The onion rings were real slices and were tasty too. The Reuben was good, but was a little bit sweet for me because I like SOUR in my kraut! I think the sour kraut is home made and I am quite confident the corn beef is cooked in house. It was served on a quality rye bread. Even though it was a little sweet for my taste, I would order it again. My hubby ordered breakfast and it looked very good. I can't tell you my personal opinion if it was or wasn't because he wouldn't share a single bite!! We were wanting to share a desert since they make them fresh. Hubby and I didn't agree as he wanted banana pie and I wanted peach cobbler. Well, they solved that problem and brought us a little of both!! We both agreed the pie was better than the peach cobbler. For the price, this place delivered!! Perhaps you can pay a LOT more and get a little better meal, but you won't feel better about the experience!! The people here will make you feel as if you are in a place from long, long ago when people actually cared about making your experience a memorable one!!

Same trip to Payson, had great experience @ Fargo's, disappointing meal @ the beeline & was hopeful for cafe 260... Well, this place is charming as a diner gets, feels like a a place from 40's or 50's! Again I really wanted to love this diner but the food was just so-so. We shared a spinach-feta omelet & although cooked nicely was quite tasteless; couldn't taste the feta at all although you could see it. Added salt which I rarely do... The hash browns were pretty tasty but looked like frozen ones. The homemade biscuit was probably not homemade - didn't taste like anything that was homemade + didn't give us real butter with it, but ghast - margarine! ;-) The worst part of the meal was the homemade apple pie. It looked real, homemade & all - but unfortunately I didn't tell the waitress not to microwave it & they did! What i tasted was soggy & tasteless. :-( Served yellow looking vanilla ice cream that wasn't good... Bummer, onto Jerome, cottonwood & sedona.

Had breakfast both days of my weekend stay. Specials were excellent. Day 1 - I had the pumpkin pancakes with over easy eggs and bacon. Very tasty and cooked to perfection. Day 2 - I had another daily special with an omelette topped by avocado and a delish red sauce. The waitress suggested putting the side sausage inside and that topped it off. Great service and all very friendly. I can't wait to go again.
(5)Travis T.
Very tasty little spot! Had the Carnitas Omlete and the build your own omelet and both were fantastic. Blue berry pancakes are great only down side was the biscuits and gravy were only so so. Will definitely stop by here again!
(4)Mike H.
Checked in again here on Sunday.. Ordered Hash browns,,, cooked perfect like we do at home,,, Like I said before, this is the goto place when passing through town..
(4)Robert W.
The 260 Cafe was voted "Best of the Rim". Had the Guagillo Omelet special, it was wonderful! Homemade sauce, juicy carnitas, wow! Also had the Blueberry Pancakes, fresh, huge berries, eggs done perfectly. Love this place
(5)Kelly V.
Offerings in Payson can be dubious at best so while my trailer was "dumping" at the gas station down the street, I pulled up Yelp. (I'm a city girl, I swear.) The 260 Cafe proved to be an excellent choice for my Brazilian companion and myself. As we sat down, he said "this feels like a movie." And indeed, I suppose, it was. "Down-home" waitresses, "antique" "art" on the walls and sleepy clientele... it had all the makings of a scary movie or an emotional story about "coming home". Back to business, the food was wonderful. The fries were ridiculously good and they reminded me of frites I had in Belgium several years ago. Of course, I had just spent the previous five days eating food out of a can so perhaps my perspective was skewed. The buffalo chicken wrap was tasty good and they even browned the tortilla a bit. If you're going to or coming from wilderness, this is a great first or last meal. :)
(4)Jennifer F.
Our food was so good! You could literally eat the gravy with a spoon. We had hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy, an omelet and more. We can't complain at all. We will be back for sure!
(5)Jacque K.
You have to have the Rainbow Omelet! Yum! Friendly staff that knows how to cook better than Mom! I love this place!
(5)Matt W.
Stopped here on the way back to phoenix from a weekend camping trip based on great yelp reviews. I wasn't terribly impressed. I got the "Adult Grilled Cheese", which sounded really delicious on the menu, but was really too greasy. Everything was greasy. It just soured me on the whole meal. To be fair, my kids got chocolate chip pancakes and they loved them. I just walked out the restaurant feeling like I coated my arteries with a layer of cholesterol and atherosclerotic plaque. Delicious! No, no, no...it wasn't.
(2)Sutton P.
Found this place on yelp while looking for a breakfast place to eat between Phoenix and Pinetop. Went there based on the positive yelp reviews and the highlights like biscuits and gravy which I am a true connoisseur of. WOW! Some of the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had anywhere. Super light, fluffy and fresh biscuit and perfectly balanced sausage gravy. Also order the eggs Benedict based on the menu stating it was a house made Hollandaise which is the only way to go. SO GOOD! The service was fast and excellent and they had a patio where my wife and dog and I could sit together. Can't wait to the opportunity to eat here again.
(5)Kat G.
Simply good food. I had the chopped salad - very fresh ingredients - house made ranch dressing - perfect amount and delish. Hubby had chicken sandwich with pesto aioli - said the flavors were very yummy. Sat on back patio with our dog. No room for dessert but eyed our neighbors dessert choices with envy. Would def return.
(5)Kimmy W.
This was a really good experience. I will tell you right up front why it was 4 stars and not 5. We were a party of 5 with a 2 year old. They told us it would be a 10 minute wait. Another party of 5 came in after us and were seated first. It wasn't on purpose, they did not have a list going so there was a little confusion. I don't think they were prepared for all the travelers on the holiday weekend coming in to eat on their way back to the valley. When you are waiting with a hungry 2 year old every minute counts though! Also, we wanted to try dessert and the waitress brought us our check without asking if we wanted to try any pie (apparently their claim to fame). No big deal and easily fixed. On to the food! It was so good! My boys had chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, french toast, and eggs. All of it was freshly made and super good! I had an omelette with peppers, feta, and onion. It was huge! The toast was served with what seemed to be homemade preserves. So yummy. We ordered peach cobbler and monkey bread to go. I was not a fan of the peach cobbler at all. It actually got tossed but that monkey bread (pull apart cinnamon bread) was amazing. My boys ate it all the way home and went on and on about how good it was! The servers there were very sweet and when in Payson again we will go back!
(4)Aubry S.
I'm a big time user of yelp and this is the first time I've ever felt the need to write a review. Above and beyond service and quality of food. Sizable portions, but the best part was the taste and quality ingredients. We are not an easy crowd with my husband and four kids under 7, & they were extremely accommodating. I never order my kids off the kid's menu so I had them split the chicken fried steak. Perfectly crisp and seasoned and tell them to put the gravy on the side. I ordered the rainbow omelet and it was really unique with it smothered in this sweet chili sauce. My husband gave me a bite of his burger and I didn't want to give it back, again perfectly seasoned and loaded with quality ingredients. Finished off with the money bread yelpers were raving about and yes, delish, taste like a perfect cinnamon roll.
(5)Diane K.
Food was good, serving generous, nice selection of meals....In fact I wanted to try several dishes but we are just passing thru and won't be back. The waitress was friendly and efficient. Decor was typically country...l loved it. Had the country fried steak with biscuit and gravy....yum. gravy was a bit too thick but the visitor was really good. Coleslaw was really good. It's on 260 so slow down or you'll miss out. Also don't look for missfitz look for "260 cafe" sign.
(4)Amy J.
The staff servers and even the cute bus boy were all amazing making this experience more than memorable. The food was delicious and wrll priced...I honestly havent had service this good since 1998
(5)Dawn A.
They are open now for dinner Thursday, and Friday nights. Do yourself a favor and order the tenderloin with raspberry chipolte sauce because it is amazing
(5)Thomas M.
Decent breakfast cafe for Payson. I wanted to order the corned beef hash, but after being told it was canned and not made in-house, I opted for an omelette instead. You can select up to three fillings for the omelettes, so I went for sausage, mushrooms, and peppers. The omelette was OK, but I was disappointed by the quality and freshness of the fillings. The sausage consisted of cut-up chunks from a mediocre patty. There were only two mushrooms in the entire omelette (!) and these were literally cold (not even lukewarm). They were actually rested just on the edge of the omelette and I'm wondering if the cook forgot to add them until plating the meal (and grabbed a couple of pre-cooked sauteed shrooms from the fridge and tossed them on the plate). This cafe gets great reviews on Yelp but I didn't think it was anything special and would try another breakfast spot before coming back.
(3)Bonnie G.
So glad we stopped. Had split pea soup and a giant piece of cornbread and was stuffed. Just like homemade. Tried to save room for dessert but sadly that didn't happen.
(5)Tammy M.
Very homy & quiet but the food was amazing! Also everyone was great & very friendly. Stopped there on our way back to phoenix & had the rainbow omelette, 1 of the top 3 omelette's I've ever had!
(4)Patrick A.
I have never had a bad meal here! It's a family run business and they get slammed on the weekends during the summer. It is well worth the wait and did I mention, homemade pies? Yeah..........
(5)Olena V.
I chose this place based on other reviews and was a bit disappointed. The service was top notch but food was just ok and coffee just terrible. I tried biscuits and gravy for the first time in my life and even though I have nothing to compare it to I think I would have liked it better with more meat in it.
(2)Barry T.
This restaurant houses the most creative menu in the rim area. Friendly, and excellent food! This place is AWESOME!!!
(5)Teri S.
It's not just a resturant, many items around, most for sale, to look at. I purchased a pair of turquoris & silver feather earings at a good price. The potatoe salad is the best I've ever had, a must try. The food is so fresh. Great chef and great servers. Catering available. Outdoor seating. It's def a home feeling when you walk in. 'CheerS' Diane!
(5)Shane W.
I've been in for both breakfast and lunch and haven't been disappointed. The service by Tracey was superb, and the pies delicious. We've tried banana, chocolate, amish buttermilk, lemon, and peanut butter and loved all of them. The food is hot, yummy, and the prices are right.
(5)Emily G.
Driving down this tiny little town we were blindly reliant on Yelp to find a spot for lunch. Although a lot of the nearby places had great 4-star averages and 30+ reviews, we couldn't ignore Miss Fitz. Every review we read had so much love and excitement, we knew it was worth a try. I think the reason why people love this place so much is because it has a very homey appeal to it. The decor is very much like your grandmothers house. They have almost antique cooking machines and utensils, pots pans and old plates by the walls as part decoration, part sale. The main dining room has different types of chairs and tables, each set different than the other. The little patio has thin see-through white cloth curtains and little potted plants. Its like the grandma's house you never had. Yet the place is very much a diner. Old school bar at the front, packaged single-portion desserts by the register and 60's style booths. The food is very standard breakfast/lunch/dinner with classics like burgers, BLTs, Reubens, Cobb salads, meatloafs and omelttes/benedicts/biscuits and gravy. As we sat down and stared at the menu, we could literally hear the people sitting close to us say out loud "oh my god this salad is incredible", "this is so good, honey try this" and a local diner who was next to us and told us how she loved everything on the menu. Clearly, the bar had been set high for us. Upon trying the food, I got the 5 star reviews, but I still couldn't give it a five stars. Here is my dilemma. Everything is super fresh and made with care. It literally taste like someone you love's home cooking. Because of that, its great yet its not spectacular. My turkey sandwich with avocado and cranberry mayo was tasty, but it very much resembles what my friend would make me at home. Our adult grilled cheese with bacon (great bacon btw), ham and avocado was also very tasty, but its the grilled cheese I make at home when I feel like wrapping myself in a blanket-burrito and make friends with the TV. Not a culinary masterpiece, but a pleasant meal nonetheless. Our server was a super sweet lady and a joy to have around, as was every person in this place. We stayed a long time talking and taking a break from the heat. When we gathered enough appetite, my friend and I shared their peach cobbler, which at $3.95 was huge. The ice cream was soft, the peach were not too sweet but the base was super doughy (vs the crumble that I'm used to in cobblers). It tasted half-baked, which I didn't love, but I can see why many have it as their favorite dish here. So overall I think we picked the perfect place to stop by for food. It may have not been the food orgasm I always love to get, but it was comfy, tasty and friendly. That'll do, pig, That'll do.
(4)Curtis M.
Very good breakfast. The cook even came out to make sure we were satisfied. Very good service and very good food!
(5)Angela P.
We came here for breakfast and got your basic foods such as eggs, potatoes and pancakes. It was just okay. My eggs and potatoes were edging to the cold side and my biscuit was rubbery like it was reheated in the microwave. Good thing the price was low - about $6 or less for each. Try the Beeline Cafe on Hwy 87 instead...
(2)Danielle W.
Great food. Had corn beef hash with biscuits & gravy. Wish gravy had a little more flavor & meat
(4)Mark K.
Got tossed out of the Beeline Cafe (blocks away) because we showed up 5 minutes after they stopped serving breakfast (11am on a Sunday morning). See my review for that story. Everyone who gives this place 5 stars is right. Great food, great service, reasonable prices. The best part of the meal was the lady that served us. You know the type of person who treats you like your a long lost friend? That's who we got. We wanted to send her postcards as we continued on our vacation. She was that special. Don't miss this place if you want breakfast after 11am. Or before for that matter.
(5)Tatum S.
Really unassuming on the outside, but I was totally shocked by the quality!!! Great service. Everything is homemade. I had the meatloaf dinner, it was to die for! Such a great Payson gem... would recommend to anyone!!!
(5)Jacob P.
Glad I came here. The staff is friendly, the service is relatively fast, and my Prime Philly Omelette was fantastic. My only complaint is that the coffee was brewed a little weak. But really, the rest of the experience makes up for it.
(5)Dennis B.
The staff was very nice. The food is delicious. We will be going again, I saw a few things on the menu I wanna try.
(5)Jerome W.
We have been going to Payson for many years and recently we took a trip on Easter weekend. This was our 1st stopping at the 260 Café and may I say we where overwhelmed by there very friendly service as well as there meals that we ordered. It was Easter Day Morning and we eat out more than average and I found that especially on holidays in most cases no one wants to work on a holiday and usually it shows in there service but not at the 260 Café. Everyone was extremely friendly and the service was outstanding as well as the meals we ordered. We give thanks to finding this rare find of a Café 260 and will return every time we are in that area. Good Job to all at Café 260
(5)Scottsdale A.
Best food in Payson! Italian, grill cheese, fries, mushroom burger, onion rings and washed down with coconut cream pie!!! Amazing service too!!'
(5)Keith W.
Once again misfitz cafe has been voted the best breakfast in Payson. This well deserved award is due to the great taste and quality of the food and service. Jeremy, Josh, & Diane continue to put out the best breakfast (and lunch) on the mountain and soon when they open for dinner, I can't wait to sample the menu. And with such fantastic service from June, Diane, Tracy, Amber & Jo, it is a must place to stop to eat & enjoy the food, service, and ambiance. The outside patio (dog friendly) is another plus. This is the one place in Payson that you will not be disappointed.
(5)Jason M.
Good food, good service, good prices. Skip the desert. I had chicken fried steak breakfast. Was good and tender with decent gravy. Hash browns tasted good and FRESH! Eggs are hard to do wrong, where good. Biscuits and gravy where fine, I enjoyed them. Everyone else enjoyed their food. We got coconut cream pie, banana cream pie and peach cobbler and they all where just okay. The server, the cook, and a random worker where great! Nice interesting little place. A lot of the stuff on the walls can be purchased and was fairly priced.
(4)Ibrahim S.
Excellent food. Lovely host. Superb environment! Had breakfast in the morning while driving to Phoenix. Loved the prime rib omelet. Must try.
(5)Chris D.
We stopped here on a drive through town. The service is top notch... it feels like a real old school diner with random things on the walls and the typical diner fare. Our waitress was fantastic and the food was ok. The meat in my sandwich was a little dry and my wife enjoyed her fries a lot. The biggest thing we had an issue with was the chocolate creme pie.... it tasted like a Marie Calendars frozen pie with Cool Whip and Hershey's Syrup on top... not appetizing. Overall, we'll likely be back in the future, we'll just skip on the pie
(3)John R.
This place is a real sleeper! the "Adult Grilled Cheese" was delicious, but I could only eat half of it, and the wonderful onion rings, or I wouldn't have been able to eat the fantastic Coconut Cream Pie. We'll be back to try the Ruben, well worth the 160 mile round trip.
(5)Monica V.
Super nice people who work here. Fresh scratch made food. Fun decor. LOVE the Country Frid Steak, and biscuits and gravy. Gravy is delish!! Got the pumpkin pancakes last visit, mmmm! Good stuff!
(5)Jennifer V.
Delicious, home cooked food! You get a huge portion for your money. This would be a great place to visit when in town!
(5)John G.
We were staying in Payson after hiking down fossil creek and had to visit after reading the yelp reviews. And you know what, yelp delivered ! The food was cheap (like seriously cheap) and scrumptious ! We came here for breakfast so that's all i can comment on and we possibly had everything on the menu, there was not a single item that was a let down. The omelettes were delish, the french toast was perfect, the biscuits and gravy (judging from my friends plate which was empty) was good too ! The coffee was not bad and seemed freshly brewed. The service was excellent and those cinnamon buns we grabbed on the way out, well, if I could turn back and go for more I would. It was seriously that good. I love this place enough to say I will most definitely be back the next time I am going to fossil creek ! Oh and to top it - free wifi ! Yea yeah !
(5)Eric R.
Awesome breakfast and make sure you try their heavenly hash browns for sure!! Very friendly staff and never ending coffee. Perfect after a night at the campsite!!!
(5)Jay M.
I've gotta say I'm impressed! For a roadside diner look & a country feel when you walk in; the service, the timeliness & the food were awesome. Reviews were right on the money. Waitress was fabulous I judge restaurants by their eggs & hash browns & I loved the taste. Gravy they put on the country fried steak & biscuits is awesome. & the price..... Super reasonable! Better than a breakfast restaurant chain that's for sure. Next time I'm up here I'll be sure to stop in
(5)Elizabeth W.
Friendly staff, low prices, welcoming environment, and amazinggggg food!
(5)Michael W.
Friendly service! Nice decor, clean. Ordered a patty melt, medium well. It came out well. Onion rings were good. The pie was good. Prices a bit high; average was $8 a sandwich but they did come with a good portion of fries/rings. I'd go back for a second try.
(4)Misty L.
Great small town local atmosphere. Super friendly staff and patrons. Food was just what I was expecting from a small town cafe, very good and not greasy.
(4)Dan K.
Corn Beef Hash That's it--I love it--there's is really good and the eggs over easy were a perfect match. I love a good homemade hash and the price was right!!
(4)James G.
Stopped for lunch based on a high Yelp rating and am glad I did. My friend and i both ordered the Reuben with side of onion rings. We both agreed it was absolutely the best Reuben we had ever had. The house made kraut was delicious. The onion rings were great also. The batter was not too thick and they were perfectly crunchy. Finished with a slice of homemade banana cream pie and peach cobbler. Both incredible. Servers were prompt and very friendly. Will definitely visit again.
(5)Mrskia C.
The food was decent. The menu had plenty to choose from. My family and I all ordered breakfast. Yummy hash browns! All the eggs were cooked to perfection. Which is a big thing for me. Everybody that worked there seemed helpful and very nice. The place is kind of coZy in its own way. It looks like it was previously someone's home.
(3)Ashley K.
Absolutely wonderful experience. Everything is homemade and so good. The staff is warm and welcoming as if you were sitting in their home. We had the burgers, biscuits & gravy, the pecan, pumpkin pancake and monkey bread. It's also very clean and has a great diner-style.
(5)Matt R.
great breakfast stop. had their build your own omelette it was great onions and peppers well cooked!! most places throw them in and call the omelette done not this place they were cooked to perfection bacon inside GREAT and paid the extra .50 cents for sausage, I think their was $20 worth of sausage in there!! hashbrowns perfect biscuit perfect gravy was very good I dont 'think' homemade but was very good.....NO ONE seems to make gravy homemade these days.....will be back great place highly recomended!!!
(5)Shawn W.
Ok I usually do more bad reviews then good trying to warn people when I get burned but not here this is five stars all the way. This place is awesome the people are friendly and funny yelling to each other greeting customers. and then the food all I can say is that when most people say it's like home cooking. Well only if you came from a home with amazing cooking because Ive never had a bad meal here everything is awesome, served warm and more than you can eat. I have a real weakness for biscuits and gravy which can be anywhere from good to down right disgusting. No here the biscuits and gravy are nothing short of amazing the biscuits are fluffy and tasty and the gravy is wonderful I'm serious you could eat your napkin and covered in this gravy it would be good. and if your not there during breakfast well the sandwiches are just as good the Reuben is amazing and I don;t usually like Rueben's and they have a grilled cheese sandwich for adults and if your a cheese lover try it you won't be disappointed. Oh I know Im overdoing it here but if you like sweets the pies and especially the blueberry pancakes don't disappoint my wife can't go long without a morning with the pancakes which have the blueberries cooked in them not just on top which my wife assures me is the only way to do it right!
(5)Alexis B.
Great place for breakfast and lunch. Everything on the menu tastes awesome, but everyone I go with always seems to get the adult grilled cheese and then rave about it. Def try their house salad
(5)Randy B.
Great home cooked food. Had the rib eye steak an eggs very tasty. Spunky waitress Tracy. All the the staff checked an interacted with us. Thank you ladies.
(5)Brock E.
Blink and you will miss it. I am glad I wasn't blinking. Quite interesting place. Nothing quite like sitting in rolling office chairs mixed with regular fixed back chairs and various other unmatching furniture. The best way I could describe would be a family get together when their is more people than seating. The country fried steak was awesome, the coffee was hot, the service was good. Next time we camp out on the Mogollon Rim we will definitely stop again.
(5)Bruce B.
This is our "office" when we're in Payson. Seriously we conduct a lot of business from the last booth of the front room! What's special? The Pie! When the Valley heat gets too much, and you take a trip to the Rim Country, be sure to include the 260 in your plans. The food is ample and well prepared and the service is very good. You can also dine on the patio out back amid the pines if you wish. Good American coffee shop fare and very reasonable prices.
(5)Krista O.
I had breakfast here in the form of french toast with scrambled eggs and sausage, and it was the perfect start to my day!

Our new favorite breakfast stop while visiting Payson. Everything is cooked to order and delicious. Prices are extremely reasonable and service is prompt and friendly. Can't wait to go back

Great stop! Breakfast was excellent and prices were good. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars was the service was so slow. Could be that it was a holiday weekend and they weren't prepared for the crowds, but I don't know. We had to ask for refills on our drinks twice and waited at least 15 minutes before even taking our food order. Even so, we would stop there again because it was worth the wait!

Stopped in here on our way back to Phoenix for breakfast. The place was very busy and chaotic. Service was OK, the bagel sandwich was good, the rainbow omelet was gross. Not sure what the idea behind the sweet jalapeño sauce was but it wasn't working. Overall the restaurant leaves you with a feeling like you've just been to a run-down, dirty diner. Could use some updating, less yelling from the staff. Less spilling of food and coffee. Cleaner tables and floors. We won't be back.

A very old-fashioned no frills looking diner, but don't let that fool you. Had a BLTA with onion rings, and loved it. Lots of bacon, tomatoes with real flavor, perfectly ripe avocado, and great wheat bread. The onion rings were hot and crispy, with a great batter. Service was warm and friendly ... and fast. Great joint!

A very unassuming spot located on Highway 260 (thus the name). Enter and you're likely to be greeted with a short, "There are two booths over there. Pick one." Might not go over well with some, but it's just fine by me. This day there was an older Native American man selling jewelry inside the entrance. Fun. The cafe also always has a small bin of etch-a-sketch style toys for the kids to enjoy while waiting. A nice change of pace for any family driving through Payson. They also have a small outdoor patio that is dog friendly, a huge benefit for any dog lover looking for a break from the road. There is plenty of parking in the rear, so don't be off put if the front lot is filled. The service is quick and the food is solid. We loved both the pumpkin pecan pancakes and the bagel sandwich we ordered on this day. We also ordered some pie to go. All outstanding and very reasonably priced. Coffee is served in huge mugs, is promptly refilled, and is priced at just $1.50 a cup. Smiles all around.

Fabulous!! Thank you Yelp for once again taking us to a great little place that we would never had known existed. The homemade split pea soup was as good as my mom's. My chicken, strawberry, glazed walnut on spinach and basil salad was delicious. Hubby had french toast. It was perfect. The service was wonderful. The waitress took care of every table in the place with grace and ease. So so good.

Came to this restaurant because of yelp and being dog friendly. Went for breakfast and parking lot mostly full. They were very busy to the point almost passed but decided to try. One of the nicest patios for pets we have discovered. Barely sit down and there were two waiters right there. Couldn't believe how fast we got orders in and food was on the table. Every thing was done perfectly. They brought out things for our pet and even treated him like a paying customer. Definitely recommend. Will go back.

I'm a big proponent of supporting local businesses, especially in our small towns and rural areas. I've wanted to try the 260 cafe for years - back when it got rave reviews. It seemed every time I came by it was closed. Then it closed for years. I imagine it's been open as Miss Fitz 260 cafe for years now, but I just drove on by out of habit. I found myself here early on a Sunday morning, taking a road trip in the pines, and I needed to fuel up. What? 260 cafe is open? More rave reviews? Well, today is the day. Walked in with wife and kids and they seated us at a booth right next to the kitchen. Prolly not such a good idea, as I got to see how the waittresses worked together. Kudo's to them, it was busy and they were bangin' out the meals. Unfortunately, it was somewhat disgusting to watch them pile multiple plates on their arms, impressive in how many they could carry, disgusting in how they stacked plates on top of plates full of food. My Chicken Fried Steak breakfast sat in the window for a good five minutes before anybody touched it, and that was just to move it out of the way so they could reach other plates. My breakfast was just so-so. Instant gravy from a package. CFS from the freezer dropped into the fryer. Hash-browns were an unintentional star, crispy the way that I like them. Eggs were cooked perfectly, but by the time I got them were just barely warm. Daughter had Eggs Benedict, and while she did not complain, the Hollandaise had this weird, almost fluorescent yellow glow - clearly not fresh. My iced tea was not very strong flavored, essentially brown water with lemon juice. I did not get a refill. I'm sorry, 260 Cafe, you let me down. I do like the patio there, although it was not offered for seating, the bathrooms are quite rustic and the artwork for sale on the walls looks like it came from the local middle-school art class. The food was filling and that's about the best I can say.

Only good things to say about this place! Dog friendly patio. They brought a toy out to keep the toddler at bay. Drinks came promptly. Food was served quickly. Staff was friendly. I had the bleu cheese burger w/ fries. Our 10 year old had pancakes. Wife had the BLT w/ fries. The toddler ate off everyone's plates. Smiles all around!! We'll be back!!

I will never come within 50 miles of this place without stopping in for a breakfast burrito. Lard, monkey tears, spur grease... whatever the secret ingredient is, I'd still be fiendin' for a thick, chewy, grilled tortilla cradling farm-fresh melted cheese, eggs and bacon from Miss Fitz. I inquired about adding vegetable-things (just to make more things happen inside the burrito) which turned out to be the best question ever. Starting off the morning with a sweet waitress asking, "Oh, you like veggies? We can add that. Yeah, let's add some avocado. How about spinach? You like spinach? That'd be good. How about mushrooms? Let's do mushrooms." The finished product was everything I've ever wanted. What I'm saying is get the breakfast burrito.

Located in the heart of Payson this lovely cafe cooks up some good'o home cooked breakfast! I will say this; the ingredients used are pretty basic. However, who can say no to mom's cooking!? I ordered over-easy eggs, sausage, hash browns, and biscuits and gravy. In the end, all way cooked they way it should be and done right. What most impressed was the bacon waffles my friend ordered. I had a small piece and enjoyed every bite I took! Nice soft yet crunchy waffle with the salty bacon a top with syrup and butter made this a savory delight! In the end, the food was good, but the ambiance took me away. Literally straight out of a farm kitchen and decorated with some nostalgic and historical items from paintings, sewing machines, and silverware. Brings you back in time to a simpler life. - Enjoy!

Great breakfast. Been there for @ least 30 years. Expect $9 a person. Biscuit and gravy is ok but needs more sausage. Coffee needs work.

Loved eating here! Service is outstanding. Loved the food and vibe. Reminded me of eating at my grandmother's house and that's a good thing! Very down home!

Great little greasy spoon in Payson just minutes from the Matazel casino . We stopped for lunch on a recommendation and I'm so glad we did . I'm sad we were too full to try their pie ! Next time for sure . I had the chicken fried steak with garlic Mashed potatoes & sautéed zucchini & spinach. It came with a bowl of soup which was beef barley today . My mom had a cheeseburger and fries which looked pretty basic but she insisted it was great .
