A great place to stop by for a quick bite to eat or a full on meal. You should definitely stop by to try the same whiskey the EARP brother's loved to drink. I don't remember the name but you can ask the bartender to give you a shot. It'll leave your face winching but you can now say that you drank the same stuff the EARP brothers drank back in the day. Try the nuggets as an appetizer (deep friend corn mash). COST: 5/5 FOOD: 5/5 This is only based on the nuggets. We only stopped for some appetizer. AMBIANCE: 5/5 Great place for photos! The waitresses are all dressed up and there are a couple staff members dressed up for you to come take pictures with them. Guns and all.

Arrived here when we found out that Wild Horse moved from the Hotel to the Saloon. The food was good. Given the size of the crowd the service was good. Very rustic. The big issue I had was all the flies, they were everywhere.

OK for California BBQ but no Brisket. The Beef shoulder was moist but no bark. The place at least look and smelled like a BBQ joint. No beer kind of a problem for me. Even though the placed smelled smoky the I could taste it in the meat.

Stopped by on the way back from Patagonia Lake. This place was awesome. We had the burgers and they were finger licking good. There was only one server but he rocked!! The place was busy but he served everyone with personality and a smile. I highly recommend this place.

So we tore ourselves away from the dick who owns the Stage Stop and wandered to the Wagon Wheel: BEST NIGHT EVER. Karaoke and booze, try and top It. I dare you. Cheap drinks, friendly clientele and every song you would ever wanna sing. A 'must visit', just stay away from the Stage Stop.

We have eaten here several times during our winter in Patagonia and it is an excellent place for dinner or to stop in for a beer. The service is good and the food comes out hot. The burgers are delicious. Whoever complained about the prices is nuts. And the person who complained about his reservation for 25 - are you kidding me? It would have been crazy to try to put the tables together for a group that size in a restaurant this size. This is a small town. Anyway, I think this place is great and so does everyone I've talked to down here.

Gotta love the only bar in town! Great bartenders and well-priced drinks, this bar has so much local history you cannot miss stopping-in when you visit this great mountain town.

We stopped in here on our way through town to get a beer. We waited 10 minutes, with no service, and gave up. As we looked around we saw that anybody at the bar who had been served had an empty bottle or glass in front of them, and they were waiting for service too. The bartender, while we were waiting, took over 4 minutes to make two Shirley Temple drinks (not ours). That did it. We figured by the time we got served we'd be as old as he was. It's not worth going back to see if they have anybody faster on staff.

If you want to drive through some beautiful country and experience some local color, there is no better place than the Wagon Wheel Saloon. Some of our coworkers found this place on TripAdvisor earlier this year and have been coming every week for enough weeks to know the names of all the locals and have the server pour their drinks and put in their food order upon arrival. Founded in 1937, some of the decor, which focuses on taxidermy and various metal artifacts, looks like it's been a part of the bar since it opened. We had a large group, so we took the booth/table just to your right as you walk in, leaving the large bar area to the locals. As we perused the menu we were entertained by RepoGames on Spike TV on the large screen TV. It fit very well with the atmosphere. The menu is simple - bar food and Mexican favorites (apparently from secret family recipes). Since we get plenty of the Mexican food elsewhere, most of us opted for the bar food, including mozzarella sticks to start. I got the Wagon Wheel Burger - a good sized patty with bacon and cheese, served with lettuce, tomato, white onion, and pickles on the side. Burger was good - just what you want in a cheeseburger with bacon. Fries that came on the side were nothing special. Most of the entrees are less than $10. They've got a full bar with 4 beers on tap (Dos Equis, Negro Modelo, Tuscon Blond by Barrio, and one more that I can't remember...). They've also got others in bottles and cans. There's also a pool table if you're so inclined. Be warned that some of the locals will probably challenge you to a game for a drink and won't take no for an answer.

A plain hamburger, fries $7.95 and a miller lite beer @$3.00. Hamburger was just ok and at $3 per brew pricey. I wouldn't go back.

We ate here for lunch today and were very favorably impressed with the food. The atmosphere is old-west and funky, which is fine for the setting. Most of the entrees are in the $8-9.50 range and they offer both western style and Mexican. We opted for the latter, shredded beef tacos and a chimichanga. Both were excellent, as well as the sides of refried beans and rice. Lots of good beers on tap and they make a good margarita, too. We look forward to a repeat visit.

Pros: Local hang out with karoke on the weekends. Guaranteed entertainment given the mix of small town folks and tourists. Won't get anything but friendly service. Cons: N/A

We were heading to the Velvet Elvis Pizza, but found it was closed. Luckily the Wagon Wheel Saloon was open - great authentic mexican food! I had the shredded beef taco - great!
