We ate breakfast here again today. It was really good food and large portions. The views are great and the service is wonderful. Great place to have a nice breakfast.

The cafe at sun city is my favorite place to relax and refuel. The F&B manager Chris Sapp and his staff are gracious and down to earth. With hubby being an executive chef, we don't go out to eat much...I'm the picky eater! However the food and service is enjoyable everytime. The price point is spot on- I feel the modest prices are a real value in today's overpriced overhyped dining choices here in Oro Valley. The mature crowd and their. nice manners and quiet atmosphere -until the happy golfers show up! reminds me that civilized society is still alive and kicking. Kudos again to Mr Sapp who was at the front door this morning greeting all who entered and saying farewell to the happy patrons leaving....on a Sunday morning! This is food and beverage service at it's finest with a million dollar view of the Catalinas to the east. Life is good...thanks Sun City Cafe for taking the time and effort to care...

The Farm-to-Table night was fabulous. I loved being surprised by each course, from the antipasto to the dessert. It was fun knowing the ranch that provided the meat (Walking J), and the farm that provided the vegetables (Larry's Veggies). We took the wine pairings, which were all local Arizona wines. Especially loved the reds, but then, I am a red girl. Being gluten-free, I was delighted that the tortillas were mesquite. I think my favorite was the dessert - an amaranth, quinoa pudding with berries, pomegranate and whipped cream. What a treat. I would definitely recommend the Cafe, and will be back.

Sorry to say that once again they have gone bad. I don't know why it is so difficult to have CONSISTANTLY good food and service at this place. If it's not the food it's the poor service. I don't think the staff understands the concept of Customer Service. My husband and I have been playing Russian roulette with this place for the past 7 yrs. The most we have gone with great consistency is an entire 4 months. Unfortunately, the chef was passed up for a raise and left. We went because it was so close to home but when you can't even get breakfast to taste good....time to throw in the towel and say, "ENOUGH!"

WOW! Views and healthy foods! Pleasant surprise in an off-beat location. Sitting outside on the patio, enjoying beautiful Catalina Mountain views and overlooking the The Views golf course, I sipped an iced tea, and selected a Turkey Avocado Panini for lunch - I requested it on Gluten Free Bread. The waiter said "no problem"! With the panini, I chose a side of potato salad. To my surprise, both were excellent. The Panini was toasty-crisp on the outside and warm and delicious on the inside. The potato salad tasted homemade with a creamy rich flavor, not one of those pre-made store bought concoctions. I was extremely pleased with my meal, as was my friend who had ordered the Special Salad of the Day. She chose the Ahi Tuna over a bed of fresh greens with a delightful Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing on the side. The tuna was done perfectly the way Ahi should be served which is medium-rare and placed on top of healthy greens - not iceberg lettuce. We both commented on what a great way to spend the afternoon, lunching together, enjoying the sun, the mountains, and excellent, healthy food. We will both eat there again! Give it a try!

I have always liked this place, but today was awful. I'm not sure if there is new management or what. I had soup and sandwich. The broccoli cheddar soup was watery and salty. My sandwich had on measley thin slice of turkey on it . They never refilled out water or iced tea. I'm really hoping this was a one time thing because it's normally much better.

Food is ok, not bad. But be prepared to be surrounded with people of elder age with varying health issues; coughing, choking and loud sneezing well presented along with mobility extenders EVERYWHERE. It is nothing fancy, but for a quick lunch or breakfast, it will do. Located on a golf course with lovely views. To the person who felt I slighted this establishment only because of the elder clientele; I beg to differ. Go there and see for yourself. If the choking and coughing do not bother you, more power to you. However, it is distracting, unhealthy and most of all, not conducive to a pleasant dining experience. See if you do not agree. My best suggestion is they make this cafe for Sun City residents only.
