OK, fair food not bad price. Reminds me of Jerry Bob's but not as good and more expensive. Burger was well done instead of med-rare. Special corn beef melt was packed pre sliced meat, not much like corned beef. Waitress was really nice, excellent service.

This is as good as it gets for home cooking that is delicious, friendly people that honestly are happy to greet you and give great service! We have tried other small restaurants in our area and some don't even greet you or offer a table when you enter. This place is a home run and we are so happy they came to Oro Valley! Only thing lacking is a bigger sign so folks will see the restaurant!

Hash browns flavorless. Corn beef from a can. Eggs ok. Pancakes good. Home fries are not fresh or made to order, but ok. Low end sausage brand it seems. Service is great! Could be a little cooler in here. Overall, likely not coming back

It's nice to have a cafe in this area that is open past 2 pm. They close at 8 pm. The food is good and service is superb. Parents like the early bird specials 2-5 for $7.99. I like that they have the catfish or cod baskets on the menu at all times and if you order the dinner you can choose to have it baked, broiled or fried. The meatloaf is just like home. Great sandwich selection. Oh and don't forget the homemade deserts

This is my fiance's and my favorite place for breakfast!!! It's all hearty, delicious, home cooked meal-type foods. I get the cattleman's special, which is like every breakfast food you could imagine on one plate haha. Service has always been really great too!

Moving up from 4 to 5 stars since my Friday Catfish Special favorite is now on the menu full-time plus it just keeps getting better and better every time we go. And the homemade pies are absolutely to die for. All of the servers shout out and greet everyone coming through the door. They are friendly and nice to chat up. We have been eating here regularly at least every other week now for over two months. We are completely satisfied and have had our expectations exceeded each time. Service is super friendly, fast, and punctual. Our food comes out quickly and our servers are always there checking in on us. Please read my original review for more info and details. Thanks!

I've been here over a handful of times. And sadly the service has always been crappy! Can't beat the price for the lunch special -burger & fries - if you're ok with coming in and not caring about the service you get then this is your place!! Lol

Great food - I went on Valentine's Day with family. The skillet special was delicious, service was friendly and fast and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely come here again.

We tried this place today, and were blown away. We started with the fried green beans and fried mushrooms - they were amazing! You can tell they use fresh mushrooms and not frozen. We had steaks for dinner, which the new owners informed us were fresh cut and locally sourced. The cook on my steak was exactly how I ordered it, a perfect medium rare, and my fiancee's was perfect too. Because we were feeling gluttonous, we shared a slice of peach pie for dessert. It was delicious, tasty filling and excellent crust. The thing that impressed me most was the value. We had 2 appetizers, 2 entrees with salads and 2 sides each and dessert for under $50. Best of all, you could taste that it was fresh. I love this place!

We have tried this place twice. Once for breakfast and the other for dinner and both times the food was a disappointment. My wife went for a dinner special of the day. It was pork chops with an apple bacon glaze. It was served with a baked potato, coleslaw, and soup. The soup was chicken noodle and was not good. The waitress offered her a salad in its place and the lettuce on the salad bar was brown. Next was the main course. The pork chops were very tough, had cold spots when served (suspect warmed in a microwave), and the coleslaw was also not good. I tried some of her pork chops and they were very tough and bad tasting. This is the first time ever I can remember that my wife did not eat her entire meal (other than the baked potato). It was that bad. I went with a burger special that was on the board. I think it was Don's special burger or something like that. The patty was flavorless pretty much except maybe a faint I've been frozen, micro wave thawed and cooked taste. I did not care for it very much but it was edible. The fries were nothing special. To top it off the soda tasted like it had no carbonation. The breakfast experience we had here was a little better but not by much. I just don't understand how this place ever got any good reviews! Is it possible I came in on both of the kitchens off and bad times? I pass by this location on a regular basis and never see cars in front of it. My suspicions are it turns out bad food most of the time. IMO this place should be avoided if you want a good meal.

If you are looking for amazing food and customer service then I highly recommend Cattleman's Cafe 2! New ownership, New menu, and New hours! The Burgers are out of this world! Fish Fry on Friday's! Ever heard of WACHO'S? If your answer is NO then I suggest you go and find out! They will Rock your socks off! Everything is reasonably priced! I know it's going to be difficult, but try and save some room for one of their outstanding deserts! I guarantee you go there once and you will be back bringing your friends and family!

Been meaning to try this place since it opened. This place is located in the Shopping plaza of Doom, so first off I hope they can break the trend and become successful. Our server was very friendly and attentive and the place is very clean and modestly decorated. The menu offerings are standard cafe fare with a daily special. I would say its worth checking out because locally owned places with good service are hard to find on the northwest side of town.

This is a new restaurant in Oro Valley. I understand they have another location in Marana. We were greeted warmly by the owner and the waitstaff was very friendly. I ordered a dish which I cannot remember the name of but it was chopped ham, country potatoes and onions with eggs and was very tasty. My other half ordered eggs, hashbrowns and turkey sausage and he said his meal was yummy. They do not list turkey sausage on the menu and we happened to ask if they had it and they said yes, they had just added it as they were getting so many requests. My meal came with a biscuit and gravy and I was not a fan of the gravy as I thought it didn't have any flavor even though it had bacon and sausage in it.. I love flavored creamer and was pleased that they offered vanilla and hazelnut flavors in addition to half and half. They are also open for lunch which to me the menu sounded yummy but for anyone who doesn't eat meat or doesn't eat beef/pork - there is not much of a selection.

Not my favorite place. Ate there once and won't be back. I felt like the portions and quality of food wasn't worth the price. We have a younger family and this place didn't feel kid friendly.

This is one of the cutest little resturants! Love the food and the fries are amazing! Cannot stop buying them! I love the food and the service was super friendly! They are super friendly and extremely funny! Great service! I've only gone at night so I'm not sure how the breakfast is, but I'm sure it's amazing! And I must mention, THE DESERT IS SO AMAZING! A great dinner and experience! Definitely coming back!

We go here on a regular basis. The food is always awesome and the staff and owners are fantastic. I highly recommend cattleman's. The atmosphere is very hometownish and comfortable. The prices are very reasonable. The menu is very eclectic so there is something for everyone.

I had lunch last week and really enjoyed it! I didn't know it was there until my friend suggested it. Good food, friendly staff, great place to meet! I'll be going there again tomorrow and expect to find the same!

Round-em-up!! I experienced Cattleman's for lunch and split two items with a friend. We shared the Tuna Melt and the specialty burger. If you enjoy Tuna Melt's Cattleman's makes one of the best I've had in a long time and the fries are enjoyable. As for the coleslaw, it wasn't anything I would write home about. Now on to desert, we split the Banana Cream Pie and the Butterscotch Coconut Cream Pie. Yes, you heard correctly, Butterscotch Coconut!! If you like carmel, butterscotch like tastes then this pie is well worth trying!! It was not too coconutty... mainly coconut in texture.... I would personally love if there was more coconut flavor to it! Overall a good option for lunch and I look forward to trying breakfast here in the near future. One other item worth mentioning is you can get breakfast at lunch as well.

This is a great casual cafe. The food is not gourmet but doesn't pretend to be. The staff is courteous, friendly and fast. Their 1/2 lb. cheeseburger is a feast. Good food. Reasonably priced. I'm here at lest twice a week.
