Stopped here on the way to Vegas. In fact took a pretty long detour. Food was terrible. Especially the broasted chicken they seem to be proud of. The main reason we were frustrated was that it took them almost half an hour from the moment we ordered to serve the food. Definitely not an ideal stop on the way.

Has 5 star potential. The place is nice the chicken is great but the help situation need work.
(3)Deana N.
Great food...enjoy the chicken, and fish tacos. Blue Van beer is a treat. Cruize Night on Wednesday's. Stop by.
(4)Lio B.
Had the chicken sandwich lunch special, very good and filling! The atmosphere is nice and the staff is very attentive, the pricing for the side orders is great during happy hour!

Just like the name says, they serve fried chicken and bbq ribs. The ribs were literally melting in my mouth. Not quite the texture I was looking for ribs, I actually like a little bit more firmness. The ambiance is what you would expect from a bbq joint I guess. The chicken is what you would expect from fried chicken. At least it wasn't dry. Service was quick, but I was the only one in the restaurant.

I prefer a good fried chicken, but this was sufficiently flavorful and fresh. The broasted ribs actually had more flavor than ones from the BBQ place in town. They also had better sauce to go with it. The fried twinkie was not as good as ones I've had elsewhere. They usually come with a berry sauce that makes a big difference. Good friendly service.

I have discovered the heaven that is both fried pickles, that come with a great spicy dip, and FRIED TWINKIES!!! (Sorry, this one really did call for all CAPS.) Oh, and if you can get there before 3pm they've got these BBQ sandwiches that'll blow your friggin' mind. (Seriously.)

First off broasted chicken is fantastic, it's a combo of pressure cooking and frying. Scottys has mastered the process and seasoning on The chicken and their ribs are also delicious and the bbq sauce is amazing. I ordered the chicken and rib combo with a side baked beans, I will order again ! My daughter ordered chicken bites ann they were very tasty too. We have been passing thru Kingman several times a year for the past 12 years and never went the extra 1 mile down Stockton to eat, so glad we finally did. Scottys is now a part of our travels from now on. The service is friendly and well paced, simple decor, clean bathrooms and they have a bar too! Note- they close pretty early.

Quite simply did not live up to the hype, chicken was okay, ribs were okay, just not as good as you can find in other restaurants... Went once, never will go again...

We tried this place because of 4.5 stars on Yelp. Save your money or eat somewhere else everything here was bad. seats - gross chicken - weird salty taste coleslaw - did not taste it due to food coloring that was added to it that made it look like some decoration for St. Patrick's day party. soda - watered down! Dr. pepper and diet tasted the same. potato salad and mash potato with gravy - store bought from Safeway according to the waitress. I thought this was supposed to be a restaurant and not a store deli.. sad!!!

Skip this restaurant and head to a chain. Star for cleanliness and star for the server who tried to be personable, but overall not worth the stop.
(2)Zelda Z.
Very good chicken. Broasting does chicken good. Apparently less calories but you can't tell...we got the 8 piece chicken with coleslaw, potato wedges and biscuits. Good value for three of us. Cole slaw was delicious. Biscuit were fluffy light and a good size. Wish I discovered the honey before I ate it! Good value, delicious broasted chicken, guess a salad is calling my name for dinner!!
(4)Pierre N.
We had an incredible work lunch. We had Italian chicken sandwiches and fried pickles with spicy ranch. The flavors of the sandwich were complex and fresh, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Scotty's was clean and nice. We will be visiting again soon!

We stopped in on the way from Tucson back home to Vegas. I have to say, this is some of the best fried chicken I've had. They've got a unique way of cooking it. VERY tasty! I've had better ribs (mine and many in KC), but these are good. Very tender and fall of the bone done. The green coleslaw is nice. The potato wedges are HUGE! But seriously, get the chicken. Don't tell your mom it's better than hers. I won't.
(4)Daniel M.
Great chicken! Also loved the fried zucchini! Very clean & relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely go back.

My one sentence summary is that "I should have stopped at the Popeyes up I-40." I think that if I was a local I'd appreciate having a non fast-food option, and a bar. But for someone driving through town it wasn't worth the detour off I-40. I didn't think their menu was anything special, and prices were higher than I'd expect for the items. I was surprised and annoyed to receive a Styrofoam plate and plastic utensils even for dine in. Service was fine and there is a pride of ownership evident in the cleanliness of the restaurant.

Decided to try this place while traveling to Las Vegas instead of trying one of the many chain restaurants. I'm glad we skipped Chili's because they had the best BBQ ribs I've had in awhile and the chicken was delicious. All the sides were great quality. My fiancé and I walked out of this place stuffed and satisfied. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. We're already planning on making another stop on the way home back to Phoenix.

Omg! Like the other couple very happy we passed up chilis! Juicy, tender, fall of the bone ribs and chicken. Best I've ever had. Broasted potatoes are amazing! Only a couple miles off the freeway.
(5)Bill R.
I love their chicken (not dripping with grease like KFC or Popeyes) Friendly service and excellent BBQ. We go there once a month.
(5)Amy S.
Great food! We had the Scotty's classic burger and brisket sandwich. We also tried the homemade chips which we highly recommend!

Coming back from Vegas and we did not want fast food. Thanks Yelpers for leading us to this place. Decor: Not sure way some people have called this place a hole in the wall. Its decorated a little old fashioned, but the place was immaculately clean, warm and inviting. Food: What can i say other then perfect . The zucchini appetizer was the probably the best fried zucchini I have ever had. But that was only a pre-show...the rib and chicken combo was amazing. Not the best fried chicken I ever had...but pretty damn close. Service: While the waitress was excellent, there were some strange quarks about the service. First...plates were styroform, drinks were served in to-go cups and the forks and knifes were in plastic to-go packages. Second...Why is ranch a extra 75 cents. It just feels cheap and wasteful to use that kind of serving dishs and even cheaper to charge extra for a pretty common condiment. Service quarks aside...the food was excellent and the decor was clean and inviting. It will be our go-to Kingman stop from now on

Easily the best fried fish in town. Great service, value, and food, although I'm particularly fond of their fish and chicken.
(5)Connie O.
Lived here 3 years decided to try scottys it was not good we waited forever for our food they give you plastic silverware and paper plate the food was not good and I got food poisoning later that nite I would not recommend this place and will never go back also it cost me about $11.00 for lunch plus more for tip that is crazy for lunch and then to be up all nite sick and the next day was a horrible experience

One server and this place is too busy for the 20 or so people that walked in. So I decided to visit the Colonel instead. This place is mostly occupied by locals and seems a bit pricey but had good reviews on Yelp. We just didn't have 90 minutes to spare on our way to Vegas since they were not properly staffed.

On our way to Grand Canyon and stopped in kingman. Did a yelp search and thought this would be a good stop and change from the chain fast foods. Was it ever! Chicken was delicious, potatoes and biscuit were great. And the best part was the "jade salad". Like ambrosia with pistachio pudding but very light and very tasty. Great service and very clean. Would def recommend

SUPER!!!!
(5)Pamm B.
I have to say that this place has the absolute best service in this godforsaken hole of a town. The staff is unfailingly pleasant and professional. Prices are reasonable and the facility is spotless. I generally get the ribs but tonight decided to try the broasted chicken. It was OK. Next time, it will be back to the ribs.
(4)Donald M.
Excellent food and friendly service. Broasted chicken was moist and tasty. Broasted ribs were different than smoked bbq but was fall off the bones good. Would definitely recommend as a better alternative to chain restaurants.
(5)Sammy R.
Went to Scottie's and not only was the food great, but the service was awesome. Thanks, Malia!
(4)Nathan P.
Great place to stop as you're passing through Kingman! Fantastic wait staff, fantastic food.
(5)Preston N.
Here with my baby boy Dug after a weekend away from the wives. Shared the pickles. Spicy. Tangy. Crunchy. Hot. Dill. Styrofoam plates, moist towelettes. Tooth picks. Cherry cokes that are made to order and never empty. Half off appetizers 3-6. Tasty. All good, then the chicken came out. Super wonderful. Exterior Crisp to perfection, interior moist like the rain forest. A truly succulent breast. thank you. If you feel the need for a sauce mix the BBQ with the gunslinger hot sauce and you're somewhere between purgatory and heaven, but you're on your way. Get there.

"Ribs, chicken, and seafood" are what the restaurant claims to specialize in. The ribs, chicken, and seafood are all broasted, fried in a pressure cooker. This method of cooked is supposed to be quicker than traditional deep frying, thus resulting on juicer, less greasy food. I tried the broasted chicken, the brisket sandwich, and onion rings. The chicken came with choices of sides. I choose the broasted potato wedges and three bean salad. The chicken was moist, juicy, and seasoned well throughout. My only complaints were the skin was not very crispy and a little too salty. The potato wedges were flavorless while the three bean salad (a family recipe) was good but a little oily. There were many options for chicken: 2, 3, 4, 5, etc pieces, or buffalo wings, chicken strips, etc. I also had mixed opinions about the brisket sandwich which came with a side of potato chips. You can get the sandwich on either an onion roll or croissant. The brisket itself was good, tender, juicy, not too much smoky flavor though. Along with the brisket the sandwich consisted of onion rings and cheez wiz I think it was. The addition of onion rings was okay, but the cheez wiz really ruined the sandwich. Its saltiness and taste overwhelmed any flavor the meat had. I ended up scrapping the cheese substance off. The sandwich came with a side of cole slaw made from a special family recipe. It crunchy and fresh, but the slaw had an unnatural green tinge to it (from one of the ingredients) and was a sweet version of cole slaw. The onion rings were strictly Sysco/Costco brand and heavily breaded. My friend's daughter ordered the ribs. I didn't feel like trying them. The daughter said they tasted good, but watching her eat, the meat did not fall off the bone. Service was just average. The server initally got my drink order mixed up, two pepsies and an ice tea became three pepsies. Aside from that snafu, our watier was friendly and attentive. I don't think I would ever try the fish and chips or any of the seafood. I feel it would be similar to the onion rings, ie from Sysco/Costco and nothing special. I would come back to either try the ribs or if I am craving fried chicken. Overal, this place is not a bad dining option for Kingman if you are in the mood for fried chicken.

Nice little place, though one lady was all alone waitressing and it looks like she needs a helper. I just had the fried chicken to go. It wasn't the greatest fried chicken in the world, but it was fried and breaded and not greasy.

BROASTED CHICKEN! Yes. It was SO good here. Until recently, I thought broasted chicken was good everywhere, so I didn't bother writing this review. But now, I can say I've had really crappy broasted chicken elsewhere, so I'm happy to say: THE BROASTED CHICKEN HERE IS AWESOME!!!! The chicken + delicious sauce + good beer + friendly service -- this place is tops. I've also been told this is the most-happening night spot in all of Kingman City. The Friday night I was there it certainly seemed to be! Awesome place to sit in the bar and watch a game! To top it off, everything on the menu was very reasonably priced. This is definitely THE place to eat in Kingman!
(5)Alan F.
Had a date night here. Great little home cooked place. Great service and great food. Price was right. Would even be priced right for a family to eat affordable.
(5)May V.
A hidden gem that has excellent service and food. The bathrooms are spotless and you can never say no to a home cooked comfort meal that's freshly made. I highly recommend the baked beans and fried chicken.
(5)Carmen M.
A little tiny hole in the wall on the very edge of town in Kingman is worth the stop. I have never tasted such great chicken with it being so crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside that it drips juice...salivating as we speak. The sides are great too they do not disappoint in portion size either.
(5)Brian Z.
This is a tough review. NO QUESTION THAT THE CHICKEN IS 5-STAR. I just can't bring myself to try the ribs or pastrami, although there are good comments from other locals. The sides are on the sweet side for me and I stick to the 3-bean salad which is quite good. The broasted potatoes are not to everyone's taste, but the fries are always a little above average. The service is very friendly but not real fast. On the other hand, the chicken is cooked fresh to order, rocket hot, and juicy with a light, very crispy coating. The dining area is clean and pleasant. I would be willing to bet that if they got real busy, the service would be too slow for most. But even then, the chicken is just too good to pass up and wins this place an extra star. Take your time and enjoy the raspberry ice tea. I can't comment on the rest of the main dishes because you should come here for the chicken anyway.
(4)Paul L.
Great chicken, just like the Havasu original. However, be ready for plastic utensils, which definitely doesn't match the food quality. Great service made up for the cheesy plastic knives and forks.

I love this place. The fish fry is great.. the wait staff listens when you ask for something special.. They knows their food and can offer suggestions. I am now in love with their cocktail sauce... which is amazing since I normally hate the stuff. Give them a chance.. it is well worth the wait!

Yummy chicken, yummy ribs!

In the vast sea of chains and over-produced food choices that is Kingman, AZ, I happened upon Scotty's not knowing what to expect. Luckily, Scotty's came through with flying colors with every dish. The Broasted chicken is a revelation. It's like no chicken I've ever tasted, juicy and crisp, with a rich flavor. The chicken went exceptionally well with the mashed potatoes and gravy (also made from scratch). The ribs were tender and flavorful with a simple yet bold BBQ sauce. The wait staff was both super friendly and informative. Scotty's clearly values serving quality food and our waitress was enthusiastic and more than happy to share her love of it with us. If you are in Kingman, AZ and want a meal that is delicious and prepared with love, go to Scotty's. Don't get suckered in by the Chili's or Applebees that line the streets on your way to a really excellent meal at Scotty's.

best chicken i have ever had any where hand down.. from havasu to seattle there is no better that i have had
(5)Greg B.
mmm....fall off the bone ribs, delicious fish and chips, and fried chicken like you get down south. The last time I had a 1/2 a fried chicken this good was at the Chick Inn in Prospect, KY. Add deep fried pickles to the menu and this place was a hole in the wall FIND! My kids loved the ribs and mashed potatoes. The jade salad was awesome, as was the fresh cole slaw (this aint KFC cole slaw), and fresh buttermilk biscuits. Reasonable prices, good service, and good parking make this some place we'll be coming back to again.
(4)Heather B.
yummy wings and coleslaw. The waitress was very sweet... I dont eat fried food very often but for a quick fix I'd come back again.
