Best service and best Mexican food in town We have been here 20 or more times and it's always top notch

Stopped in Kingman for the night and found this gem. Seriously so good. My husband and I think this place is better than any Mexican restaurant in Vegas. And we've been to a lot there. Service was exceptional, prices are good, and food is amazing. Get the steak fajitas or bacon wrapped shrimp and you will be satisfied. Fried ice cream is delish too. Definitely will be stopping by here every year when we come out to do our taxes. Win.

I love coming here. Great service and great cocktails. The food is the best in town as well. Great for big parties too. Mezcal!

This place is gross. The service was terrible. The salsa was watery. My chicken quesadilla was more onions than chicken and the little bit of chicken in it was chewy. The guacamole on the side was salty. My wife got the taco, and it was overly salty as well. At the end we waited 20 minutes for the server to come back with the check. After we paid, I noticed he had charged me for someone else's meals. Another 20 minutes later they "fixed" it and I get my receipt for my debit card transaction and the voided one. Hopefully, I don't get charged twice for this terribly nasty experience. JUST AVOID THIS PLACE!

Great authentic Mexican food, inexpensive prices, good restaurant vibe, and friendly service ! Loved the free fresh chips and salsa. Salads and burritos were yum and large portions. Open late!! :-)

Quaint little cantina style bar...nice bartender. Great food. Met a few people and had good conversation. When I asked for my tab, the lady told me the gentlemen I met earlier, paid my bill! Thank you! (Daniel ?) I'll be back! :-)

I made a weekend trip to see friends and they suggested we all go try this restaurant, I really wish they hadn't. I don't generally judge a place on it's decor, especially not a place that used to be a What-A-Burger so I'm not really going to comment on that, but I will have something to say about the food. The chips were too greasy to enjoy with the water thin salsa. I was still traveling so didn't want to get anything too heavy so I settled with the chicken quesadillas. They came out lukewarm, but I didn't want to rock the boat so I started to eat them and was overwhelmed by how old the meat tasted. I even had my friend try one because I swore it was pork. So in general, the food wasn't very good, but I was willing to let it pass until that night when I went go to sleep on the couch with an awful stomachache. So in summation we all ended up with horrible food poisoning and my weekend went out the window because of some chicken pork mutated quesadillas. I was holding off this review until the same friend texted me that her daughter went to this restaurant with some work friends and they all got ill as well.

Very nice atmosphere and great service. The food is outstanding as well. I've eaten there about ten times so far.

My sister told us that they had a very good meal here a couple weeks ago. We thought we would try this place again and did. I ordered the menudo, my wife had chorizo and eggs. The menudo tasted like they added about three times the water to stretch it out and therefore didn't have much taste. Her chorizo was good and she did enjoy it. The refried beans were terrible though. They had a consistency like they had been put through a blender with lots of water and very little flavor. The chips and thin salsa wasn't worth eating. The salsa tasted like a small bit of hot sauce added to tomato sauce. Over all, I would choose somewhere else next time.

My personal favorite restaurant in the Northwest Arizona and Southern Nevada area. Amazing staff! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted and immediately seated. Go more than once and don't be surprised if they remember what your last drink order! The cocktails are fantastic, the food fresh and hot, the desserts are a dream. Personal favorites of mine include Chili Rellenos and their shrimp enchiladaS for dinnertime and fried ice cream for dessert. O.M.G.!!!

Been to this restaurant at least 15 times. Was there yesterday. The service is good. I usually order the Chili Verde Pork and it is usually good. But yesterday was another story, I ordered the Carnitas Tostada, what a mistake the meat was dry, old and overcooked, NEVER HAD THE SHITS SO BAD IN MY LIFE. Throw out the old meat. The prices are way to high for this area. Sorry never going back again.

Our family was on our way from Las Vegas back home to Phoenix and were craving some good Mexican food. Sadly we were extremely let down with the food from Plaza Bonita. I love food and I'm not one to ever leave a bad review but in this case we hardly ate and still left with $34 bill for 2 of us! The chips were greasy and the salsa was blan, and it was accompanied by flavorless refried beans and some terrible tasting yellow salsa. Our meals came out like literally 6 minutes after we ordered them which leads me to believe that it was all pre made and microwaved.. The flavor also supported that speculation. We ordered the chile Colorado and the meat was very dry and very flavorless, so flavorless in fact that my dad had to ask for a side a garlic powder to add to it. I ordered a combination plate with a chicken enchilada and tamale. The enchilada was terrible, made with a mysterious chicken mix and sauce and topped with a flavorless beige sauce! Yes I said beige. Lol! I then decided to try a cheese enchilada. It came out in 2 minutes and and was more than likely warmed up corn tortilla with some cheese tossed in it and topped with the infamous beige sauce I tried a bite and got a mouthful of cold cheese! This is not good Mexican food. Needless to say we will never return since the only good thing they offered was a nice cold Carte Blanca and we could buy those at and convenient store

I've been here three times. On each occasion, I found the staff courteous, the food served promptly, hot, well cooked. It's not "stellar" Mexican food, but having said that, it's clearly the best in the Kingman region, which makes it a place to go and enjoy. I read some of the one-star reviews and can't help but wonder what happened or if there is some sort of bias at work??

I tried this place based off the user ratings on this site, and I wish I would have avoided it like the plague. The place looked like a circus with the cheesy Mexican decor used in attempt to mask this converted fast food business building into a sit down establishment. The seating was terrible and extremely uncomfortable. The food was waaay over priced and the service was sub par to say the least. We ate two chips of the queso ordered and left it there chalking it up as an unateable lose. The entree was incrediably mediocre and left me drooling thinking about the Taco Bell we passed on the highway. I hate Taco Bell and would rather eat dog food (which you technically are doing there) any time of the week. Please shut your doors and do us all a favor.

This place is just a mess all around. The atmosphere is cheesy, being a poorly-disguised converted former drive-through painted in neon purple, green, and yellow. The seats are uncomfortable, and the tables are too close together. The salsa is watery and bland, and the chips were greasy and too thick. We made the mistake of ordering the chile con queso dip as an appetizer; it was all but inedible. The fajitas were mediocre at best, with overcooked and dry steak and chicken and bland rice and beans. They were also overpriced, at $24 for an order for two. The one saving grace was the low draft beer price special; unfortunately our inattentive server brought me a Bud Light instead of the Dos XX that I ordered, and was absent for 15 minutes and was thus unable to correct the mistake until we were almost done with the meal. It is amazing that this place is still in business. It wouldn't last a week in our hometown of Austin, TX. If you're driving through, you are better off getting fast food and saving your money and frustration.

Not impressed. Had a bean burrito enchilada style - it was small for the price of $8 and very little sauce. Service at the bar was slow, and there were only 3 other people there.

Fantastic. From LA visiting our parents for Thanksgiving. LA must be one of the Mexican food capitals of the US and this place holds its own. Tacos are good, but wish they had more ground beef. The ground beef version is better at the more famous place downtown. The carne asada salad was very good. House Margaritas are STRONG and large for $5.85. Ridiculous value. Decor is kitschy but cool. They turned a toad to a prince. Draft beer ($5.50) is icy cold and magnum sized. The other reviewer said overpriced? Where must he be comparing, the Taco Bell just a walk away? coming back for Happy Hour - bottle beer and apps are half off. Try the home made hot sauce if you dare. It's great and by request.

I have been to this place twice within the last couple of months, and was impressed both times. I had the fish (halibut) tacos both times and they were sooo yummy! My mom had the chicken fajitas once and the other time had some sort of pork burrito. She said they were good. The service is good. And the decor is fun. Very bright and colorful. I'm sure all the chairs were hand painted. Already planning on going back this weekend.

My son and I loved Plaza Bonita. The food was very fresh and, I would say, bordering on gourmet. Plaza Bonita is a great choice if you don't eat meat as they had several meatless selections. The waiter was upbeat and gracious. The place was clean and cheerful. I noticed some large family groups being served as well as young couples. I will be back as soon as I can get there!

Way above average Mexican food. Prices reasonable, but high enough to ensure good quality ingredients. Great salsa and chips, plus refried beans. Orders came quickly and hot. Arroz con Pollo and fajitas outstanding. Staff courteous and efficient. A great lunch for 2 for under $30

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
