If you want some good Mexican food and are headed out Hwy 40 through Kingman AZ and see Mi Sarita..............Keep going you'll not find good food here. Upon walking in the place is kinda funky but hey I've been in much worse, after seeing the menu yelp.com/biz_photos/mmb_… the two gringa cooks, and food the other patrons were eating I was the only one who was brave enough to eat there. The place had a good sized crowd and all the gringos seemed to love the place, guess they are probably all regulars and don't know what real Mexican food is, I ordered tacos hey what else! my choice was ground beef!, WHAT yeah ground beef, carne asada or chicken, I got 3-Carne Asada. Tacos de Carne Asada - yelp.com/biz_photos/mmb_… While not the worst tacos I've had, these are pretty bad, the only flavor the meat had was from a ton of black pepper yelp.com/biz_photos/mmb_… they use for seasoning ha,ha,ha........cilantro not even chopped with largely chopped tomato's and onion's tops the tacos as their salsa! I was hoping to find some home-style cooking in a small out of the way place like this, man was I wrong!

Good food and a welcomed change of all fast food spots local. The owner has a great personality and is fun to chat with. If you want Mexican, I'd recommend you swing by and check it out.

Yummy! Thank God it was there on our way to the Grand Canyon taking a pit stop for a quick bite in small town called Kingman Arizona. Tacos! I love a good taco and have been to every Mexican restaurant in LA,my home and how I wish "Mi Sarita" was here. Super sweet people, great prices with quick service. :) 5 star in food.

Not bad food for kingman at all. For all of you folks trying to measure good mexican food, rate their rice and beans and that's a good measure of their food. The beans were awesome and topped with the white queso. The rice was so so, that's why I gave it 3 stars. The salsa they served with your food was great. The green salsa was very sabroso and a lil picoso. A nice lil kick to it. The red salsa was very enjoyeable as well. Bring from phx, I had to order the green chile con carne. Not bad but I'm used to tasting some of the best best green chili there is on earth at ritos in phx. The owner, an older mexican man was very friendly and would stop here and eat again here in kingman.

Definitely a good place to stop for good food if you are in the neighborhood. Locally owed and run, returning customers are on a first name basis with owners. Nice, clean & fast service. Glad we stopped, we were just passing through.

Mi Sarita is a very good family run taqueria. It is a bit out of the way, but well worth the effort to find - off the main drag through town - sits on a diagonal side street. An unassuming white building with modest signage in the front. I found this cool little place by chance a few years back and it is has become a regular stop when I'm in town passing through now. This is pretty authentic Mexican food, the owner is there and very approachable, usually stopping by - says hello and to see how everything was/is. The green salsa is some of the best I've had, and it has definitely got some heat to it. I usually get a couple Chicken tacos (nicely filled with shredded well seasoned and juicy chicken in a soft warm corn tortilla), served with beans and rice. Topped with some of their killer green salsa this is a hard to beat meal, at least in my book. The beans with queso are great and the rice has consistently always been good. My last trip through, my usual was as good as it has been over the past three or four trips. It was fresh hot and tasty, inexpensive by nor-cal standards and hit the spot after a long days drive and a much welcomed stop. This is a solid little family taqueria with kind, friendly service and well worth the effort to find and stop when your in Kingman. Never disappointed and always glad I stopped by again, and will my next time through as well. Recommended. 4 Stars 00222

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
